Sermon
The King Has Arrived | Christmas Eve 2024 | Apostle Mike Signorelli

-
On this holy night, we gather to celebrate the birth of a king.
-
Somebody say, he's my king, but he's not just any king.
-
We celebrate the king that no one actually expected.
-
A king that was born in the humblest of circumstances, a king
-
who was rejected by his own people, and a king who came down
-
from heaven.
-
I want to read Isaiah, chapter 9, verse 6 and 7.
-
And it's a prophecy that was given.
-
For those of you that have struggled with your faith, can I
-
just tell you that the universe has an origin.
-
And the origin is that it was spoken into existence by God Almighty.
-
And this has been confirmed many times over.
-
The one thing that I love about Scripture is that it is filled
-
with prophecies that came to pass.
-
Prophecies that were given by men under the inspiration of God
-
and then hundreds or even thousands of years later with, like,
-
I mean, unmatched accuracy.
-
It could not be fabricated.
-
It could not be an educated guess.
-
It had to have been divinely inspired.
-
Those prophecies come to pass.
-
And so my hope and my prayer in the next several minutes is that
-
you understand that we are not celebrating a historic figure.
-
We are not celebrating a historic figure that was born and
-
died and stayed dead.
-
We are, in fact, celebrating the king of all kings who actually
-
conquered death, hell, and the grave, and on the third day rose
-
again, and then for four, 40 days, walk the same region where
-
he was crucified in front of hundreds of people and then ascended
-
to heaven, but said, I'll leave you my Holy Spirit.
-
And actually, after my Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will receive
-
power.
-
And so I really believe that across all of our locations right
-
now, that you can get a revelation that the Holy Spirit is
-
here, which is the Spirit of Jesus in the lives of believers.
-
And so, believe me, when the music was playing and you felt chill
-
bumps, you were, in fact, not having an emotional experience.
-
You were having a supernatural experience.
-
Because what happened was your spirit is starting to recognize the
-
Holy Spirit.
-
And that is the very thing that you've been craving the most,
-
is a connection with.
-
With the God that breathed you into existence and life.
-
Separated from him is hell on earth.
-
But Jesus said, I came that you might have life and life more
-
abundantly.
-
And he actually called heaven down and said, your kingdom come,
-
your will be done right here on Long island, in Brooklyn, in New
-
Jersey, Miami, as it is in heaven.
-
And so those moments when you're in worship, you're having
-
an experience with God Almighty.
-
He breathed your spirit into this physical dirt body.
-
And when we worship we're breathing back to him.
-
And there's something that many of you have been longing for.
-
You know, when you look at Isaiah, chapter 9, verse 6 and 7,
-
it says, for us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the
-
government shall be upon his shoulder.
-
And his name shall be called Wonderful Calvin.
-
Counselor.
-
Mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of peace, of the increase
-
of his government and of peace there, of his peace there will be
-
no end.
-
And on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it
-
and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness, from this
-
time forth forevermore, the zeal of the Lord of hosts will do
-
this.
-
Can everybody say amen?
-
Come on.
-
Good job, buddy.
-
Good job.
-
Got a little preacher over here on Long Island.
-
He's milking it now.
-
He's milking it now.
-
We have a king.
-
And the thing that I want to help us recognize in just the next
-
few moments is that when Jesus was born in a major to a teenager
-
named Mary and Nazareth, and then they migrate to Bethlehem for
-
this census, it was because even the thought of a Jewish king
-
was so intimidating to Herod that he said, I'm going to kill all
-
the firstborn.
-
So the thing was that it wasn't intimidating for there to
-
be another healer.
-
It wasn't intimidating for there to be another person claiming
-
to be Messiah.
-
But the intimidation was that Herod would have a rival in the form
-
of a king.
-
And so can I just tell you, many of you have been to these church
-
services your whole life, and maybe you've heard a preacher get
-
up and say, he can be your savior and forgive you of your sins.
-
And then maybe you say, well, you know what?
-
I don't really need a savior, because what I'm doing is not that
-
bad.
-
I'm just a guy trying to live my life.
-
I'm just a woman trying to.
-
I don't need a savior.
-
Maybe you've heard some of those old school Pentecostal preachers
-
say that he can be your healer.
-
And now we'll lay hands on you.
-
You'll have a supernatural miracle.
-
But maybe you're at one of our locations saying, well, I don't really
-
need a healer.
-
I'm okay.
-
I have doctors, I have physicians.
-
But as I get older and I go on this journey of the faith, I've come
-
to a recognition that he is the king.
-
And so we must understand this revelation of him.
-
So.
-
And I know this is crazy, because Christmas is when we celebrate
-
him and his birth.
-
But the thing that makes his birth so special is that he was born
-
a king.
-
He was born a king.
-
And so here's the thing.
-
When I looked at Matthew, chapter 2, verses 1 through 12, these
-
wise men come from the east, and they were trying to find whether
-
it was drones or plasmoids or orbs in the sky.
-
Kidding.
-
Everybody here is like, I have not read the Bible in a long time,
-
and I need to open it back up again.
-
So they were looking, but they were men that looked into the skies
-
and they tried to discern, based on the stars and the positions
-
of planets, what was unfolding in the world around them.
-
We're living in a time right now, especially here in the Northeast,
-
where we are looking to the skies.
-
We're taking out our phone and we're looking in New Jersey.
-
We're looking in the skies in New York City.
-
Here on Long island, we're looking.
-
Is it an orb?
-
And there's this increasing awareness of the supernatural.
-
The veil is being pulled back, and people are starting to question,
-
is there more?
-
And can I just tell you the answer?
-
The answer is yes.
-
We're right around the corner from the Amityville Horror House,
-
and this is our last service in this building right now.
-
And there's many people who've joined our church not because they
-
got a revelation of who God was, but because demons and Satan
-
and the existence of the demonic and darkness was exposed
-
to them.
-
And the reality of the darkness actually confirmed the reality
-
of the light.
-
And I don't know about you, but over the last couple of years,
-
and I'm speaking to the parents right now, it's become abundantly
-
clear that there is, in fact, a battle.
-
Good versus evil, darkness versus light, angels versus demons,
-
God versus Satan.
-
Can anybody give me an amen?
-
If you agree?
-
It's becoming increasingly obvious.
-
So these men are looking to the skies, and whatever they see,
-
the only conclusion that can be drawn is that this, the position
-
of this star and what we see in the skies is acknowledging the
-
fact that the king has arrived.
-
Not just a healer, not just a savior, but in fact, the king.
-
And it actually says that they show up and think about this crazy
-
story.
-
There's a manger, there's a teenage mother, but then the daddy
-
is not the baby daddy, but they're betrothed for each other.
-
But somehow it was divinely set up by God, a virgin birth.
-
And for those of you who struggle with the supernatural, we
-
got into this thing believing on the supernatural.
-
Am I right?
-
As the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary, she conceived
-
Jesus.
-
Nine months later, she Gives birth and then divine destiny.
-
Perfect timing.
-
Here come the wise men.
-
Can I just tell you, there's going to be some times in your life
-
where things seem very scary, but God's timing is perfect.
-
He may not show up when you want him to, but he shows up when
-
you need him to.
-
And can I just tell you, as Mary was holding the king of all
-
kings in her arms, here comes the wise men.
-
As if she needed another confirmation, she already had Gabriel
-
the angel.
-
But how many of you know, when God's trying to do something in your
-
life, you need as many confirmations as you can get.
-
And can I just tell you, if you're here at any one of these locations
-
and you have separated yourself from God, this is your sign
-
from God.
-
This is your confirmation to come home.
-
This is your confirmation to surrender to the king.
-
This is.
-
This is your sign.
-
What's happening in the skies is your sign.
-
You know there's more and.
-
Oh, but I don't like the religion and tradition of my family.
-
Well, neither do I.
-
That's why we started V1 Church, because we're not good at
-
following rules, but we are good at following Jesus.
-
And this is what the wise men were doing.
-
They were following Jesus.
-
They were following the signs.
-
Then it led to him for this ultimate.
-
This ultimate confirmation.
-
And they bring gold and frankincense and myrrh.
-
This is the gift that you give to royalty.
-
Is it all right if I just.
-
If I go there?
-
Can I go there?
-
When he's your Messiah, you come to him to receive forgiveness.
-
When he's your healer, you come to him to receive healing.
-
But when he's the king, you go to him to give to Him.
-
See, there's a lot of people that use Jesus, but there's not a
-
lot of people that give and serve Jesus.
-
And if you.
-
If you're here, and maybe you're in Brooklyn, I saw just incredible
-
footage of the violinist on the stage in Brooklyn.
-
Or maybe you're in Indiana right now and you're like, I've never
-
seen a church just so full of all of these people and from the
-
sound and the production and all the instruments.
-
And I've never seen anything like this.
-
This isn't like the Catholic church I attended or the Greek Orthodox
-
Church or.
-
This is not like the church that I grew up, the Presbyterian,
-
the Methodist Church, the Baptist church.
-
Like, I don't quite understand.
-
Let me just tell you what you're seeing across the United States
-
tonight at our.
-
At our services.
-
You're seeing people who've said, I'm thankful he's Messiah,
-
I'm thankful he's healer.
-
But I'm here because he's king and I give my gift.
-
Oh, this stage that I'm on right now, and this is the last sermon
-
I'll ever preach on this stage.
-
This stage used to be where all of many of the biggest rock bands
-
of our generation came to this little stage.
-
Matter of fact, we first got the office 12A Broadway right next
-
door.
-
And I used to do counseling sessions as a pastor and I would
-
have my windows open and I saw Scott Stapp from Creed walk by and
-
I was like with arms wide open under.
-
Come on now in Indiana, they're all singing it right now.
-
Everybody stood up.
-
And I could not believe when this was a music venue how many renowned
-
people would take this stage.
-
But see, the thing is, when we turn this into a church, what we
-
said is we are going to give our gift back to the gift giver.
-
He gave the gift to us.
-
So we're going to give the gift back and we're going to give
-
with excellence at that.
-
And that took us from this little stage to a sold out stadium
-
in Chicago this year.
-
Because when you're faithful with little, he makes you ruler over
-
much.
-
Jesus started as a baby in a manger, but he was faithful in Bethlehem.
-
Aren't you thankful that we have a king?
-
And so what you're experiencing in this environment
-
is what it feels like for us to have a king.
-
A king.
-
Somebody say, he's my king.
-
And so they bring these gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh.
-
But you know, at the same time, King Herod rejects him as king.
-
In John, chapter 1, verses 10 and 11, you see this and really what
-
it is is this jealousy, this rivalry, you know, can I just speak
-
on behalf of some of the dear precious wives of our church?
-
If you're a husband and here, here and you're jealous because your
-
wife goes to church throughout the year, don't be Herod, turn into
-
a wise man and come with her this year.
-
I'm just, I know it's getting a little awkward, but that's the
-
gift that's going to keep on giving this year.
-
You know, why don't you, why don't you come to church with her?
-
You know, what I'll tell you is that when a man makes a decision
-
to lead his family spiritually, that is the legacy that
-
becomes the true inheritance.
-
Because you know what, cars break down, even houses, you know,
-
it's like all These things we aspire to do in our life, yes, of
-
course they matter.
-
But you know what matters most?
-
Passing on the heritage of faith to tell your child life is
-
going to be hard.
-
And no matter how much dad works and pays all the bills and
-
how many things I was able to buy us, you're going to need faith.
-
Because faith is the evidence of things hoped for and the substance
-
of things not, not seen.
-
So our firm foundation is not the deed to this house.
-
The firm foundation is the rock of Jesus Christ that we built
-
this house on.
-
Come on.
-
So I have a vision of some men going from a King Herod, actually,
-
to a wise man that'll go see Jesus every week.
-
I've got a vision for that, matter of fact.
-
I mean, Jordan Peterson is now just openly teaching the scriptures,
-
and Russell Brand is getting baptized, and he's going viral.
-
And even, I mean, people that you never would have thought are
-
becoming Christians.
-
Why?
-
Because they're realizing that Jesus was who he said he was.
-
Jesus was king.
-
Jesus is king.
-
Come on.
-
And so then there were these, this other group, and they were called
-
the Pharisees.
-
And they rejected Jesus because they expected the Messiah
-
to come in a different package.
-
Uh, oh, it's like, you know, the plain brown package, but it actually
-
has a priceless treasure on the inside.
-
And so oftentimes, you know, we have an expectation of what it's.
-
Well, I don't know.
-
It didn't come in the package.
-
I thought it would.
-
And, you know, I don't know this.
-
I don't know about this church.
-
I don't know about V1 Church.
-
It's not the package that I'm used to.
-
I'm used to a different package with different paper.
-
But how many of you know you can't judge the contents until you
-
open the package.
-
And so sometimes what God will do to create a humility in our life
-
and the Pharisees couldn't see this, is that the King actually came
-
through a family they would have never chose in a region that
-
they weren't looking for it.
-
But inside of that brown paper package was the King of all kings.
-
And so I really believe that some of you might be saying, God,
-
speak to me, and God's like I did, but you didn't pay attention
-
because you didn't like that bald guy in a suit on Christmas Eve.
-
I was speaking, but you weren't listening.
-
The signs are everywhere right now.
-
Out of his great love for you, he's been reaching out to you over
-
and over and over and over again.
-
Matter of fact, he's reaching out to you right now.
-
You thought you got asked to work security for a church, but actually
-
it was God running security for you because he called you.
-
He chose you.
-
You thought that you got asked to help load something in or to do
-
a construction project.
-
No, no, no.
-
The Lord says, I'm actually, you are.
-
My construction project.
-
I'm building.
-
You see, this is what happens in the faith.
-
Oftentimes we think that we're gonna come to lay a gift down before
-
the king.
-
But that king didn't stay a baby.
-
He died on a cross, rose again and told those wise men, actually,
-
now I'm going to give back to you more than you can ever give me.
-
So what happens is we make this sacrifice and we say, God, I'm
-
gonna give you my gift.
-
God, I'm going to give you my finances.
-
God, I'm going to give you my time.
-
And.
-
And we think we're lavishing him.
-
And this is our gold, this is our frankincense, and this is our
-
myrrh.
-
But then guess what happens?
-
We end up receiving so much more than we can ever think, ask,
-
or imagine.
-
Hell, I'm telling you, he is good.
-
I said, he is good.
-
He is so good.
-
Jesus is the gift of this season.
-
And even as we're giving him a gift, he is.
-
You can't outgive God.
-
You can't outgive God.
-
You know, as we are getting ready to close on this message, I
-
was thinking about Isaiah, chapter 9, verse 6 and 7.
-
And Isaiah prophesies, this king who's really unlike any other.
-
Can I just brag on our king?
-
You know, I was in my backyard the other day, and I was one of those
-
weirdos with my camera, trying to see what I see out there.
-
Oh, is that one?
-
Is that one?
-
Oh, is that one?
-
And, you know, I'm in my backyard looking around, and all
-
of a sudden, I had the AI going.
-
And I've been having extended conversations with AI, which I don't
-
suggest you do, but, you know, it's addicting, you know, And I'm
-
having these conversations because I'm an information junkie.
-
Anybody else?
-
So I'm having these conversations, and I'm like, man,
-
this is great.
-
You know, my wife's asleep, and I'm like, you know, I'm just.
-
Here I am just talking to Gemini or whoever it was me just
-
hanging out in the backyard with my AI.
-
And as I was having this conversation, I asked, just randomly,
-
I said.
-
I asked.
-
The AI said, hey, what does based on all the information that
-
you have, what does my last name mean?
-
What does Signorelli mean?
-
S I G N O R E L L I.
-
What does it mean?
-
And the AI said, oh, it's Italian.
-
It means son of the Master.
-
And right then I looked up and I saw this little cloud and the whole.
-
It was a.
-
It was just a completely clear night.
-
And then this little cloud that's flying low all of a sudden
-
just begin to go by.
-
And I grabbed my phone to take a picture of it, but my phone died.
-
So it was like the AI's mic drop was.
-
Your name means in Italian.
-
Son of the Master.
-
I'm out.
-
And all of a sudden, you know, I'm looking at this cloud and I'm
-
looking around.
-
I don't see any other clouds in the whole sky.
-
And yet I see this cloud and it's hanging so low, and it's a little
-
cloud.
-
And I'm reminded of the words of the prophet that said, I see a
-
cloud the size of a fist.
-
Rain is coming.
-
I see a cloud the size of a fist.
-
But rain, torrential downpours are coming.
-
And all of a sudden, I started thinking about how Jesus was that
-
cloud the size of the fist, where it was like people were saying,
-
rain is coming, Rain is coming.
-
The Savior of the world is here.
-
But it just came in the size of a cloud.
-
It looks so insignificant.
-
How could this baby.
-
How could this changed the whole world?
-
And it was just such a potent reminder to me.
-
And I will tell you this as it was in those days, it will be in
-
the end days.
-
And for those of you who can't discern the signs of the time, welcome
-
to the end times.
-
Welcome to the end times.
-
For those of you who still haven't figured out why Joe Rogan
-
has devoted entire podcast to talking about Jesus, welcome to the
-
end Times.
-
For those of you who can't figure out why Tucker Carlson is
-
talking about demons and nephilim in the government, welcome
-
to the end times.
-
So I see a cloud the size of a fist.
-
And here's what I believe is happening.
-
Just because he was a baby didn't mean he wasn't king.
-
And just because what's happening in the earth with the church
-
seems so insignificant, doesn't mean it's not going to bring
-
in the harvest of a billion souls.
-
Oh, I'm prophesying it from this stage is that it is time for
-
a billion soul harvest.
-
What do I mean by that?
-
The harvest is vast, but the laborers are few.
-
So pray to the Lord of the harvest, to send harvesters.
-
I believe that as things continue to get weirder, I believe
-
as things continue to get scarier, I believe as we hear about
-
wars and rumors of wars, as we hear about pestilence, as we hear
-
about these various different things, look to the skies, because
-
just as he came the first time, he's coming back again.
-
Jesus is coming back again.
-
Jesus is coming back again.
-
And so right now, we might get judged.
-
What?
-
Right now, we might get persecuted.
-
Oh, you really believe in your sky, Daddy?
-
I actually, I do.
-
And he's coming back.
-
Keep looking at the sky.
-
Look past the drones, look past the orbs.
-
He's there.
-
And he's coming back.
-
He's coming back.
-
And Isaiah, chapter 9, verse 6 and 7 talks about who he is.
-
So this is who we behold spiritually, and we will behold him
-
physically.
-
This is what I want to help you understand, because there's so
-
many people who go to these services every single year.
-
Maybe you are a, you know, Christmas and Easter only.
-
A CEO.
-
Some of you, like, I am a CEO.
-
I go to church twice a year, Christmas and Easter only.
-
Oh, and religion helps my family.
-
Oh.
-
My family feels comforted by the community of the church.
-
No, no, no.
-
That's not what's happening at this church.
-
What's happening at this church is that we have.
-
We behold him in the spirit, knowing and waiting patiently because
-
we will behold him physically.
-
And by the way, for the last 2,000 years, there have been people
-
called Christians, Christ, like that have believed this.
-
And what I'm thankful for in my generation is that the new punk
-
rock is Christianity.
-
You want to be a rebel?
-
Be a Christian in this generation.
-
Be sober in a world where everybody's drunk and high.
-
Oh, you want to be punk rock?
-
Have one wife Instead of going from relationship to relationship.
-
Oh, you want to be punk rock?
-
Be a father to your children and raise them in the faith.
-
And get a Bible open and read them a Bible.
-
Come on.
-
If this is you, you want to be punk rock.
-
The new rebellious thing to do is to serve Jesus Christ.
-
And I'm thankful for it.
-
I'm thankful for it.
-
You know why?
-
Because the custody battle is over.
-
When I was raised, my mom and dad got divorced when I was a couple
-
years old.
-
And before he went to jail and that whole situation happened, I
-
had to split my time between two households.
-
And one of the things that they did, and I don't quite understand
-
why they did it, but they would buy me presents, buy me toys,
-
and they would keep My toys at his house.
-
And then I would have the toys at my mom's house.
-
And I would go back and forth between houses, back and forth between
-
houses.
-
Anybody who can hear me, who's the product of divorce as a child,
-
you know the pain of a custody battle.
-
And so what was happening before Jesus showed up was this intergalactic
-
custody battle.
-
There was a war that was happening.
-
And Lucifer, all these demons were saying, no, they're mine.
-
They're mine.
-
They sinned, and I have every right to have them.
-
I can be in their body.
-
I can actually inflict them with sickness.
-
I can inflict them with depression and anxiety.
-
And there was like this big tug of war.
-
And the children of Israel were trying to go through the motions
-
to interact with God.
-
But it had become this dead, dry, cold, ceremonial, ritualistic
-
religion.
-
And so they hadn't seen the glory and the presence of God.
-
They hadn't seen the miraculous for generations.
-
And so what happened was when Jesus showed up as king, Jesus was
-
saying, the custody battle is over.
-
They're mine.
-
The battle is over.
-
They're mine.
-
The battle is over.
-
They're mine.
-
The custody battle.
-
You're not gonna go from house to house.
-
You're gonna live in a my house.
-
And where I'm from, my father has many mansions.
-
And had it not been so, I wouldn't tell you.
-
And I go up ahead of you to prepare a place for you, because
-
I am your father, but I'm also the king.
-
Oh, I'm so thankful to have a king.
-
I'm thankful that the custody battle is over.
-
And there's many of you under the sound of my voice, at every location
-
that are trapped in a custody battle.
-
Do I belong to God?
-
Do I belong to the devil?
-
Do I belong to God?
-
Do I belong to the devil?
-
And let me just tell you, the very first time deliverance ever
-
happened in the earth, you know who did it?
-
Jesus.
-
You know why?
-
Because Jesus was showing up.
-
And when it was the woman who was hunched over in her body, who
-
for decades was struggling with physical pain, he said, spirit
-
of infirmity come out of her.
-
And she stood up straight.
-
Nobody had ever seen that before.
-
And then when the man with.
-
With a legion of demons, over a thousand demons, is crying out,
-
and he's been cutting himself.
-
And every time the moon would come out, the Bible says he was a
-
lunatic.
-
Which lunar loomed the moon.
-
And you'll even talk to New York City police officers that say
-
when there's a full moon in New York City, things get a little
-
Bit crazier.
-
There's some kind of like supernatural spiritual thing that
-
happens.
-
And this man is tormented.
-
He has the ability to break chains physically.
-
Nobody can restrain this guy.
-
There's nobody who can help him.
-
And Jesus in a moment, walks up to him and tells every single
-
one of those unclean spirits, get out of him and go into the pigs.
-
You know what he was doing?
-
The king was operating in kingly authority.
-
And what kings do is kings take back territory.
-
Kings say, that's my body, that is my vessel, that is my son,
-
that is my daughter.
-
And so I don't know who I came here to tell this to, but as we get
-
ready to close.
-
You belong to Jesus.
-
And the King is taking back what the devil has tried to stole.
-
Come on.
-
Your mind belongs to the King.
-
Your emotions belongs to the King.
-
Your appetite belongs to the King.
-
It belongs to him and he's taken it back.
-
We've got to get a revelation of king.
-
And for those of you who are saying, oh, no, no, I don't need
-
this.
-
I can live my life on my own.
-
I can just do things however I want to do them.
-
No, you need to submit and surrender to the King.
-
Because the King's ways are higher than our ways.
-
The King's thoughts are higher than our thoughts.
-
Come on, I'm talking to the 45 year olds.
-
You need a king.
-
Not just a savior, not just a healer, but.
-
But to submit to the King.
-
What would 2025 look like if you said, I'm tired of doing it my
-
own way?
-
I surrender?
-
Because when you surrender to the king, he takes possession over
-
your entire life.
-
And let me just give you the good news.
-
He takes care of you better than you can take care of you.
-
Oh, yeah.
-
Yes, he does.
-
When I am weak, then I am strong.
-
Come on, man, I'm talking to you.
-
The Lord's been waiting for you to surrender.
-
He's been waiting for you to give up.
-
What is it?
-
What God's been waiting for me to give up?
-
Yeah.
-
Because when you get to the end of yourself, the end of you is
-
the beginning of him.
-
You're a bad king.
-
Let him be the king.
-
Signorelli means son of the Master.
-
When I got that revelation, I wept in my backyard.
-
Because I said, you know what?
-
That's really what it is.
-
Lord, I don't know how to be a good husband.
-
I don't know how to be a good pastor.
-
I don't know.
-
I don't know how to do this.
-
Some days I just feel so confused in the world that we live
-
in.
-
But then all of a sudden, I got that reminder.
-
It's about whose you are, not who you are.
-
Did you hear what I just said?
-
It's about whose you are, not who you are.
-
Oh, you can be the most talented slave, but you're nothing
-
compared to the son of the Master.
-
Do you get what I'm saying?
-
It's about whose you are.
-
And I said, wait a second.
-
And that's why demons recognize us.
-
Not because we have power.
-
But the demon says, you better listen to that guy over there.
-
Well, he's not Jesus, but he's the Son.
-
He's the Master's son.
-
You better listen to him.
-
He's the Master's daughter.
-
You better listen to her.
-
So I don't know who I came to tell this to, but as we close.
-
This is who Isaiah says your heavenly father is.
-
This is who the prophet said, your king, who's your father, who
-
ended the custody battle.
-
But you got to accept to move in.
-
You got to accept it's time to move in.
-
And some of you, you moved in, but you never unpacked your bags.
-
Come on, I'm talking to you.
-
You move in, but you keep sneaking out at night.
-
Come on, I'm talking to somebody.
-
It's time to move in, unpack your bags, and say, dad, tuck me
-
in tonight.
-
And I want to learn what it means to be your child, a son or
-
daughter of the Master.
-
I'm here to submit and surrender to you.
-
And the Bible says, his burden is light and his yoke is easy.
-
And so the Christmas present that I want to give every single
-
one of our congregants across all locations is you're going to
-
make an exchange.
-
You give him your backpack full of rocks.
-
You give him all of your anxiety.
-
You give him all of your fear.
-
And guess what?
-
He gives you his peace.
-
Isaiah, chapter nine says, he's wonderful counselor.
-
Jesus offers wisdom.
-
He's a wonderful counselor.
-
He's mighty God.
-
He wields the power to save.
-
He's an everlasting father.
-
Some of you are mourning the loss of your biological father this
-
Christmas season and even through the next couple of days.
-
But we have an everlasting father.
-
Aren't you grateful for an everlasting father?
-
He's the prince of peace.
-
Would you all stand to your feet with me?
-
Let me give you the good news about having a king.
-
The king is in control.
-
The king is in control.
-
Cancer doesn't have the last word.
-
The king has the last word.
-
Divorce doesn't have the last word.
-
The King has the last word.
-
Come on.
-
Suicide doesn't have the last word.
-
The king has the last word.
-
Come on.
-
I got good news for you.
-
The King is in control.
-
And even when he was a baby in that manger, the three wise men,
-
they came and they said.
-
And people would say, are you crazy?
-
You traveled all this way just for a baby?
-
He's not a baby.
-
He's the king.
-
He's the king.
-
So I got great news for you.
-
The King is in control.
-
Abuse, trauma.
-
Doesn't have the last word.
-
The King has the last word.
-
Because when he heals you, he'll put together all the broken
-
pieces.
-
And you're gonna have to tell somebody you used to be broken.
-
Because what he can do, the way he heals, is so much greater
-
than anyone else.
-
That's why he's called the great counselor.
-
There's none like him.
-
So we have candles at all of our locations right now, and we're
-
going to begin to distribute those candles.
-
And what this is going to represent symbolically, we're going
-
to get ready to do that across all of our locations right now.
-
And the light represents the light of the King.
-
It represents the fact that the king.
-
The custody battle is over and we belong to the king and it's the
-
light of our father.
-
We're a son or daughter of the master.
-
And so we're gonna get that ready across every location right
-
now, and just we'll begin to.
-
And what I wanna ask you to do, it's a powerful moment, is when
-
you actually light your candle with someone else's candle, which
-
I believe is symbolic.
-
Like the three wise men, they didn't go alone, they went together.
-
And so even as we begin to light these candles, it's symbolic
-
that we are going to go on this journey to the King together.
-
We're gonna go on this journey with each other.
-
We're gonna be who God called us to be.
-
So we'll give you an opportunity to just begin to light
-
your candles across all locations right now.
-
And it's such a beautiful, beautiful picture.
-
As you light your candle, it's an acknowledgment that you don't
-
just receive Jesus as savior, as healer, but you also receive him
-
as king.
-
That you're willing to live under his leadership, that you're
-
willing to live under His.
-
The light that he brings, the Bible, is a lamp unto our feet and
-
a light unto our path.
-
And so when we submit ourselves to the King, we say we
-
are going to walk in the Light, many of you have been through
-
situations in 2024 that you felt like nothing good can come out
-
of this situation.
-
I want to speak to those right now before we get ready to pray and
-
then we're going to sing that maybe are looking forward to 2024
-
being over.
-
Maybe you're crawling over the finish line.
-
Maybe you're just thinking to yourself, I don't know if I could
-
do another year like this.
-
And I don't know.
-
I'm at my wits end.
-
I believe that in the next several moments you can feel the
-
presence of the Holy Spirit ministering to you.
-
And I want you in your own words, to just begin to speak to
-
him.
-
Because how you exit is how you enter.
-
And I believe that as you exit 2024, you're stepping into 2025 saying,
-
no, no, I'm not leading myself, but I'm following the king.
-
I'm not going to be pushed by some false sense of security.
-
Oh, I need to work harder.
-
No, no, I'm going to be led by the Holy Spirit.
-
And so would you all just pray this with me if you've resolved and
-
of yourself that you are going to allow him to be king?
-
This is unlike any message that I've ever preached because I'm
-
realizing more and more that what God is looking for is a people
-
that will submit and surrender to him as king.
-
And when that's the case, you'll say, not my will, but thy
-
will.
-
And when you want to quit and give up, you'll say, God, I can't
-
give up because you didn't give me permission yet.
-
Give in.
-
Don't give up.
-
Give in to the Lord.
-
Would you say this across all locations right now?
-
Would you say this prayer?
-
Heavenly Father, you are my king.
-
You are my savior.
-
You are my healer.
-
I am your child, and I'm thankful for you.
-
I choose to follow you.
-
Your word will light my path.
-
Your voice will guide and lead me.
-
I thank you for second chances and third chances and fourth chances
-
as you lead me out of this season into the next, I will follow
-
you.
-
Thank you, Jesus.
-
In your name we pray.
-
Amen.
-
Sing.
