  1. You know, oh, Lord.

  2. We're gonna start a three part series right now.

  3. And this is the first message.

  4. And the series is called Daily Dose.

  5. I'm gonna start by giving you an acronym, and then we're gonna

  6. take the next three weeks and break it down.

  7. And I think it's gonna help you so much.

  8. So if you're taking notes, there's two ways to take notes.

  9. One is old school on your pen and paper on a pad, and the other

  10. one is in your phone.

  11. And I want you to write the word dose as an acronym.

  12. And I'm gonna break down for you what we're gonna teach through.

  13. I'm gonna give you the word of God today.

  14. And I think it's gonna help you, I really do, because it's all

  15. about dialing in your daily dose.

  16. So D for dose, it's discern the season that you're in.

  17. So discern D.

  18. Discern the season that you're in.

  19. Discern the season that you're in.

  20. Dose.

  21. What is my daily dose?

  22. Okay.

  23. I'm gonna wake up and discern the season I'm in.

  24. O.

  25. Observe and fully embrace today.

  26. So what does the O stand for?

  27. I'm gonna observe every day.

  28. I'm gonna wake up and I'm gonna observe, and then I'm going

  29. to fully embrace today.

  30. Today.

  31. Am I going too fast?

  32. Are y'all with me?

  33. Oh, you guys are good.

  34. The S stands for stay faithful in small things.

  35. I'm gonna stay faithful in small things every day.

  36. Stay faithful in small things.

  37. And then the E stands for I'm going to execute with consistency

  38. and intentionality.

  39. I'm going to execute every day with consistency and intentionality.

  40. Dose.

  41. What is my daily dose?

  42. Let me roll it back.

  43. For those of you still plugging in your notes, every day,

  44. I'm waking up as a believer and I'm saying, God, help me discern

  45. the season I'm in today.

  46. Then I'm going to observe and I'm going to fully embrace the day.

  47. Then I'm going to stay faithful in small things.

  48. Stay faithful in small things.

  49. And lastly, I'm gonna execute with consistency, and I'm gonna execute

  50. with intentionality.

  51. So that's your daily dose.

  52. Let me ask you, how many of you guys just wave at me if you take

  53. a daily vitamin?

  54. Okay, Some of you are on your Flintstones still.

  55. It's a daily vitamin.

  56. You know, how many of you take Omega 3s?

  57. Okay.

  58. Couple of you.

  59. We probably should increase that.

  60. Come on.

  61. When you start taking.

  62. When you start eating more from the deli than you do are daily

  63. vitamins.

  64. Okay, what else?

  65. How many of you?

  66. Oh, I can't even ask these questions.

  67. I'm gonna get myself in trouble.

  68. Let's stop right there.

  69. But we have daily routines, right?

  70. And that daily routine represents a value.

  71. And so the first message of this three part series is gonna deal

  72. with discernment.

  73. And really, it's titled the Rhythm of Wisdom.

  74. Everybody say the rhythm of Wisdom.

  75. Another way of saying this would be stop hustling and start

  76. trusting.

  77. Come on, you know how to hustle, but you know how to trust.

  78. So it's like, what is this daily rhythm, this rhythm of wisdom?

  79. Here's another way of saying it.

  80. What is God's timing versus my plans?

  81. The Bible says that we make plans and he laughs at us.

  82. You know, so what does this look like?

  83. We're gonna look at multiple passages of scripture and you know,

  84. I just wanna make this make sense to you.

  85. What if I told you that you're not necessarily burning out because

  86. you're doing the wrong things, but you're burning out because you're

  87. doing the wrong thing in the wrong season.

  88. It's all about discerning the time.

  89. And you know, a lot of people are like, oh, I'm burned out.

  90. But it's like maybe, or maybe you're doing the right thing in the

  91. wrong season or the wrong thing in the right season.

  92. So timing matters.

  93. How many of you understand that timing matters?

  94. Okay, and so we're gonna break this down in the word of God today.

  95. Let's start with Ecclesiastes chapter three.

  96. It's the book of wisdom.

  97. And Solomon being one of the wisest men, I guess second to Jesus

  98. that ever walked the planet.

  99. And Ecclesiastes gives us this picture into what it means to understand

  100. the mind of God.

  101. Ecclesiastes, chapter three.

  102. And really you can look at verses one through eight, but we're

  103. gonna specifically focus just one particular passage.

  104. It says for every.

  105. Well, by the way, say amen when you found it.

  106. Anybody?

  107. Okay, you're there already.

  108. Praise God.

  109. For everything there is a season and a time for every matter

  110. under heaven.

  111. A time to be born and a time to die, A time to plant and a time

  112. to pluck up what is planted.

  113. Can somebody say amen?

  114. So there is for everything is a season.

  115. It's for every time, for every matter under heaven.

  116. A time to be born and a time to die.

  117. So anxiety is when fear lies about what time you're in.

  118. So fear says you're going to die, but the Bible says you're going

  119. to die.

  120. But there's an appointed time when you're going to die.

  121. So when fear tells you you're going to die too soon, that's anxiety.

  122. It's when your emotions or your mind try to tell you something

  123. different than what God says about it.

  124. Does this make sense?

  125. So we're not gonna lie and say, well, I'm never gonna die, but

  126. the truth is God has an appointed time for when I'm going

  127. to die.

  128. And premature death is when the enemy tries to get us to die

  129. before our appointed time.

  130. And anxiety is when fear lies about when that time is.

  131. So.

  132. Oh, come on, are you getting this?

  133. So we have to deal with the reality of Satan is going to try

  134. to deceive our own mind and emotions are gonna try to deceive,

  135. but then the word of God and the spirit of God is going to try

  136. to reveal the truth.

  137. So we've got to grow in our maturity as believers to determine

  138. when is the appointed time.

  139. When is the appointed time?

  140. Are y'all with me?

  141. When is the appointed time?

  142. So let's break this down.

  143. If you're looking at Ecclesiastes, chapter three, this

  144. is an Old Testament scripture.

  145. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew.

  146. And if you at the original language, you can unlock some deeper

  147. meanings.

  148. And so this word specifically is Z E M a n.

  149. So if you're writing it from Hebrew to English, it's Z e M a n.

  150. And zeman means an appointed time.

  151. An appointed time.

  152. Oh, come on.

  153. God sets a rhythm and we follow that rhythm.

  154. There's an appointed time.

  155. Now, I want to make something really, really abundantly clear here.

  156. It doesn't.

  157. That word zemin doesn't mean a suggested time.

  158. It means an appointed time.

  159. And some of us are living off of suggestions, not appointments.

  160. I said some of us are living off of suggestions, not appointments.

  161. And so it's not God's suggested season, It's God's appointed

  162. season.

  163. So I don't want a suggestion.

  164. Where do we get our suggestions?

  165. We get our suggestions from Instagram.

  166. Well, all my friends are getting married.

  167. I guess it's too late for me.

  168. Oh, no, no.

  169. You better not get married.

  170. Because getting married off of a suggestion could actually end up

  171. in divorce, you know.

  172. Come on.

  173. We were getting suggestions from the Internet.

  174. We're getting suggestions from social media, we're getting suggestions

  175. from friends, we're even getting suggestions from well meaning

  176. Christian friends.

  177. They'll give you a suggestion about where you should go to church.

  178. They'll give you a suggestion about where you should Live.

  179. They'll give you a suggestion.

  180. But, man, we need to shift out of suggestion and into appointment.

  181. Come on.

  182. Y'all feel me?

  183. Okay, I need to.

  184. I need to do an illustration.

  185. Let me.

  186. Give me.

  187. Let me get one of these mics.

  188. I'm just gonna go.

  189. Here.

  190. I'm just gonna take it.

  191. Thank you.

  192. So right now, we live in the era of the podcaster.

  193. Everybody's got a podcast.

  194. Your mom just started a podcast.

  195. You don't even know it.

  196. Everybody's got a podcast, right?

  197. We are in the era of I've got something to say reaction content,

  198. right?

  199. So let me just tell you.

  200. Cause we live in that era, right?

  201. And I'm gonna start my own social media platform that requires

  202. you to take an IQ test, and then it requires you to take an EQ

  203. test for your emotional quotient.

  204. And then when you pass that, you can get in.

  205. Wouldn't that be healthy?

  206. And then let them have the other ones.

  207. So here's my thing about this microphone suggestion versus appointment.

  208. See, here's the thing.

  209. If you take this mic too soon, it'll end up producing audio, but

  210. not authority.

  211. So you got some people buying all the equipment to podcasts, and

  212. that equipment is producing audio, but it doesn't necessarily

  213. mean.

  214. Mean it has authority.

  215. But can I give you the converse of this?

  216. If the Lord did tell you to do it and you're delaying what he told

  217. you to do, then you're gonna have authority, but no audio.

  218. Does this make sense?

  219. So it's not about should I or shouldn't I?

  220. When should I?

  221. Are y'all with me?

  222. Because our church is a global voice of the gospel to all people.

  223. So guess what?

  224. We need more than one podcast.

  225. We need thousands of podcasts.

  226. But the question is not.

  227. It's when.

  228. Because if you do it too soon, it's audio with no authority.

  229. But if you delay, you've been given authority, but you need that

  230. audio.

  231. Are y'all with me?

  232. Speaking of audio, why are you so quiet?

  233. This isn't a rebuke.

  234. Relax, chill.

  235. Here, take this mic back.

  236. Is this helping you, though?

  237. Okay, let's talk about sex.

  238. Sex out of season is called lust.

  239. Sex in season is passion and unity.

  240. When you have sex in the context of marriage.

  241. Oh, here the phone's come out to record me now.

  242. When you have sex out of season.

  243. In season, out of season.

  244. Okay, what does this mean?

  245. Sex was designed by God for the covenant of marriage.

  246. If you do that act inside the covenant of marriage, it edifies

  247. you.

  248. It builds you up.

  249. It unifies you with your spouse.

  250. But then the Bible says that sex out of season and out of covenant

  251. is a sin that you commit to your own body.

  252. It destroys you.

  253. So the question is not sex or no sex, it's when are y'all with

  254. me?

  255. Can I speak to the ladies?

  256. And I know we got some kids here, but they need to hear it anyways

  257. because the world's getting to them and the preachers aren't, which

  258. is why I'm a preacher on the Internet.

  259. Oh, I don't like that my pastor's on the Internet.

  260. Well, porn's on the Internet, so your pastor better be on the Internet.

  261. People are mad at me about having an Instagram, but if the devil's

  262. got an Instagram, I should have one too.

  263. Okay?

  264. Anyways, Lord, pray.

  265. Just start interceding.

  266. Some of you, you feel it in me.

  267. You're like, something's in his spirit.

  268. Brooklyn, we need this church.

  269. We need each other.

  270. So let me just tell you this.

  271. If a man can't wait before marriage, he'll never be able to

  272. wait in marriage.

  273. Because when you get married and you have a baby, you can't immediately

  274. reconvene.

  275. So there are sexless seasons even in marriage, because a woman

  276. can't.

  277. Okay, can I just say that?

  278. So if he can't wait before marriage, he's not gonna be able

  279. to wait in marriage.

  280. You see what I'm saying?

  281. So you know, what the world is realizing is the longer we go on

  282. this journey of self destruction, the science keeps aligning

  283. with what the scripture said the whole time.

  284. It keeps aligning the most satisfied people.

  285. I'm talking not biblically now, but I'm talking scientifically.

  286. Are people in monogamous relationships with the opposite gender

  287. committed in marriage?

  288. Who would have thought?

  289. It's almost as if that's the way God designed it.

  290. Who would have thought?

  291. And I've told this many times, but at our marriage conferences,

  292. which we're doing one next month, but I'm telling y'all.

  293. You know, it's like I remember being a full blown atheist in a secular

  294. university, a big ten university, and I was taking a sex

  295. education class, and they made the conclusion of this longitudinal

  296. study.

  297. The longest running study was like, yeah, it's a male and a female

  298. in a marriage relationship over time rates the highest levels

  299. of satisfaction.

  300. And I was like, man, the Bible just keeps being right.

  301. But let me.

  302. So what I'm saying is it's not about a yes or a no.

  303. It's about a win.

  304. So it's like A church that diminishes your gifting or deletes

  305. your gifting, Both of those are wrong.

  306. You need to go to a church that develops your gifting.

  307. So a good church doesn't give you a no, it gives you a not yet.

  308. And here's how does this make sense?

  309. So it's like, hey, at this church, we want you to prophesy,

  310. but if you prophesy out of turn, you're gonna get a rebuke.

  311. Not because we don't believe in prophecy, but because we don't

  312. believe that you have finished your development journey to prophesy

  313. without hurting people.

  314. So it's not about.

  315. It's not about.

  316. I'm getting used to this new pulpit.

  317. I built this in my living room.

  318. New year, new pulpit.

  319. It's not about.

  320. One of my mentors, John Maxwell, and I traveled to like four

  321. countries with him and watched him knock over every water on the

  322. stage and every podium.

  323. And I was like, I am definitely in your spiritual DNA,

  324. because me and you are just wrecking stages on accident.

  325. But what I was gonna say is that, you know, a lot of churches

  326. will diminish the prophetic or delete the prophetic when the prophetic

  327. needs to be developed.

  328. And sometimes when people have only attended churches that have

  329. deleted the prophetic, then what happens is when you try to bring

  330. correction, which is a form of development, they take the correction

  331. as elimination.

  332. You get what I'm trying to say?

  333. And so we're raising up prophets across all of our locations,

  334. and we want prophets to prophes yes or no.

  335. It's when.

  336. Matter of fact, do you want to know why you have a New Testament?

  337. Because the apostle was bringing correction and development

  338. to the gifts, and he was writing letters to each region to

  339. say, I'm not telling you to stop speaking in tongues.

  340. I'm just telling you if you're going to keep doing that in your

  341. midst, here's some wisdom on how you administrate doing it.

  342. Does that make sense?

  343. Or it's like Steph is not going to tell you you can't be on

  344. the worship team.

  345. She's just going to say, you need to take vocal lessons because

  346. you're singing so out of key that it would distracting and you

  347. need to put some excellence to that gift or you don't have that

  348. gift.

  349. I know you don't believe that because you sound so good in the

  350. shower, but it's.

  351. Sometimes you get what I'm.

  352. It's.

  353. We need to grow in wisdom.

  354. Everybody say wisdom.

  355. So this word Zaman it can refer to a specific time in.

  356. Such as in the Jewish law.

  357. So when you look at Ecclesiastes 3, one says, there's

  358. this appointed time, which means its own time for everything.

  359. And it also means season.

  360. But then the last meaning that I think is so crucial is there's

  361. a word yeshiva.

  362. Have you ever heard this word?

  363. So even here in Brooklyn, there are Jewish schools that the

  364. children attend, and there's.

  365. It's basically think about it as like an elementary and middle

  366. school yeshiva.

  367. And so this word that you find in Ecclesiastes 3, they also.

  368. In Judaism, they also use this word to mean semester.

  369. Now, am I the only one that has ever had the reoccurring dreams

  370. of, like, I'm back in school.

  371. You know that, like, you dream and you're like, back in school and

  372. the whole dream, you're panicking.

  373. Cause you're just like, I gotta get my homework done.

  374. Am I the only.

  375. Wave at me.

  376. Am I the.

  377. Okay, I just had one of those dreams.

  378. And, you know, you wake up.

  379. Like, I'm like, school was that traumatizing, That a dream about

  380. being back in school has me more scared.

  381. So it's.

  382. The word is semester.

  383. So let me read the text again with this, with importing the Jewish

  384. context, okay?

  385. Cause this is a little bit about how they would have heard it.

  386. I think it'll help you so much.

  387. It says, for everything there is a season.

  388. Okay, Let me say, for everything, there is a semester and

  389. a time for every matter under the sun.

  390. There's a semester where you're born, There's a semester when

  391. you die.

  392. There's a semester where you plant.

  393. There's a semester when you pluck up.

  394. Does this make a little bit more sense?

  395. There's a semester when you start school, and there's a semester

  396. when you graduate.

  397. But if you keep failing your lessons, you don't ever see the graduation

  398. semester.

  399. You have to go back and repeat it.

  400. And there are some people that God didn't do anything to them.

  401. And they keep going, God, why is this stuff happening in my life?

  402. And God's saying, because you haven't passed your test, you could

  403. have went on to the next grade, but you're repeating the previous

  404. one.

  405. Because this is not a timed test.

  406. This is an aptitude test.

  407. See, in the Bible, you see time tests and you see aptitude tests.

  408. Jesus went through a time test.

  409. He was not allowed to start his ministry until he was 30 years

  410. old.

  411. Did you know that he spent 30 years in development for three years

  412. of ministry?

  413. Some of you want three years of development for 30 years of ministry?

  414. Yeah.

  415. Where do you want to go to lunch?

  416. What are you gonna.

  417. Because we're living in a world where we're getting suggestions

  418. from Instagram about how many followers we should have.

  419. You know, Jesus was okay with having 12 followers.

  420. Why aren't you?

  421. And some of you don't even love the 12 you got.

  422. You see what I'm saying?

  423. We're getting suggestions when we need to shift into appointments

  424. and we need to say, God, if it takes 30 years to develop me for

  425. three years of the appointment, I'll take it.

  426. Is this helping you yet?

  427. So somebody say, I'm gonna graduate this semester.

  428. And you know what's funny is you don't do school in school years.

  429. You do school in semesters.

  430. Think about it.

  431. And you could repeat semesters.

  432. Sometimes you're like, lord, I wanna be married.

  433. And the Lord's like, but you keep flunking the purity semester,

  434. Lord.

  435. Lord, I really wanna.

  436. I wanna be married.

  437. And the Lord's like, you keep failing the finance semester, and

  438. you can't budget your finances.

  439. But you're asking me to double your finances when you combine bank

  440. accounts.

  441. So you're asking me to help you fail two bank accounts.

  442. So when I don't ask the Lord, God, grow my church, I say, God,

  443. grow me and grow my leaders.

  444. Because when God grows me and God grows my leaders, we can handle

  445. more people.

  446. I don't ask God for more money.

  447. I say, God, do you trust what I did with the money you gave me,

  448. and will you trust me with more?

  449. Does this make sense?

  450. Okay, so this is all.

  451. Ecclesiastes, Chapter three, verse one through eight.

  452. And of course I'm gonna give you more scripture, but can I break

  453. the idolatry around the idea that a sermon with more scripture

  454. is a better sermon?

  455. Because it's not the totality of how many scriptures you can read

  456. in one setting.

  457. It's how much you understand and how much obey.

  458. Got real quiet on that one.

  459. Someone's like, Well, I gave 50 scriptures.

  460. Yeah.

  461. But nobody understood 49 of them, and nobody obeyed 50 of them.

  462. So we've got.

  463. This is why this year, as we're on this journey of the scriptures,

  464. it's, lord, do I understand it and do I obey it?

  465. Because Satan knows all the scripture and obeys none of it.

  466. Get what I'm saying?

  467. So I really want us to focus.

  468. Like, sometimes it's about ruminating on a verse, staying there,

  469. unlocking it.

  470. Okay?

  471. Are you with me on that?

  472. Okay, now that we said that.

  473. I'll give you more scripture.

  474. Let's go to numbers, chapter 14.

    Numbers 14 chapter mention

  475. This is another Leviticus, Exodus, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus,

  476. Numbers.

  477. So let's go to numbers 14.

  478. I'm gonna show you something that's happening there.

  479. Now, when you look in the esv, the subheading says, the people rebel.

  480. Then all the congregation raised a loud cry, and the people

  481. wept that night.

  482. Okay, can I explain this to you?

  483. Just because people cry doesn't mean they're right.

  484. Tears are not a validation of your rightness.

  485. You know how I know?

  486. Cause I have two kids and I tell them, you can cry all you want,

  487. but you're still wrong.

  488. Am I right?

  489. So when you look at the children of Israel in the 14th chapter

  490. of the Book of Numbers, they're demonstrating spiritual immaturity.

  491. So crying don't make you right.

  492. So let's start there.

  493. Then it says verse two.

  494. And all the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron.

  495. Who did they grumble against, God or God?

  496. God's leaders.

  497. They grumbled against God's leaders, and by proxy, they grumbled

  498. against God.

  499. But I just want to stop for a second and say that these are the

  500. people of Israel.

  501. The New Covenant example would be Christians, right?

  502. These were not Christians.

  503. But the New Covenant example would be the people of God.

  504. What I find is interesting is spiritually immature people have

  505. an.

  506. They all, okay?

  507. They want to turn the attention on God's leaders instead

  508. of using that discernment to discern themselves.

  509. So here's the thing.

  510. I wanna challenge you.

  511. Maybe you don't have discernment.

  512. You just have criticism.

  513. Okay?

  514. Now let me word it another way so you clap.

  515. Maybe they don't.

  516. Maybe they don't have discernment.

  517. They just have a spirit of critic.

  518. Cause right now, everybody's like, I'm discerning something about

  519. Mike.

  520. What did you discern?

  521. That I'm a human and I have flaws.

  522. Whoa.

  523. You're a genius.

  524. You're telling me that I'm fallible?

  525. You better tell my wife.

  526. She thinks I'm perfect.

  527. I'm joking.

  528. That's called sarcasm.

  529. But you get what I'm saying.

  530. It's like a lot of these Christians nowadays, they don't have

  531. discernment.

  532. They have criticism.

  533. And so what I find is interesting is the children of Israel

  534. never looked at themselves and said, God, what do you want to develop

  535. in me?

  536. What do you want to change in me?

  537. Why do I feel resistance going into Canaan?

  538. Why am I so worried all the time?

  539. Why am I so much in fear?

  540. And then God, I trust those that you put in authority over me.

  541. But you don't see that I'm really giving you the blueprint for

  542. why they didn't move into the Promise.

  543. So here's the thing.

  544. If I were to write a book about this called From Chaos to Clarity,

  545. I would say that number one is you cry.

  546. And you think your tears vindicate you.

  547. Sometimes when you're growing in maturity, the Lord says, I don't

  548. care how much you cry.

  549. This time, you have to pass your test.

  550. Everyone's like, I'm doing it.

  551. Cause he told me to clap it.

  552. I don't wanna respond.

  553. So God's like, I don't care how much you cry.

  554. Now you're gonna pass your test.

  555. Now sit down, pick your pencil up, and pass your test.

  556. Okay?

  557. Number two is you will not move into the Promise until you stop

  558. using discernment on other people and start using discernment

  559. to develop yourself.

  560. So it's like, God, help me.

  561. See me.

  562. Where am I deficient?

  563. Where am I lacking?

  564. Where do I need to grow?

  565. You know how the Lord develops me in discernment?

  566. He gives me prophetic dreams because I'm too stubborn to listen

  567. while I'm awake.

  568. The other day, I had this dream for my wife in my dream, and

  569. my wife was standing under a street lamp.

  570. And you know how the electricity they have, the transformers

  571. and the sparks were sparking and all this.

  572. And in the dream, my wife kept standing under that thing.

  573. And I'm like, julie, stop.

  574. You're gonna hurt yourself.

  575. And, you know, blah, blah, blah.

  576. And in this whole dream, I'm wrestling, and then she's.

  577. Then she.

  578. The sparks come over my wife.

  579. And then she transforms into this other outfit.

  580. And then she goes on this football field, and she's singing

  581. a secular song.

  582. And the whole time in this dream, I'm like, my wife is out of

  583. control.

  584. Literally.

  585. I'm, like, thinking.

  586. I'm like, I'm worried.

  587. I'm like, why is she not singing worship?

  588. Da, da, da.

  589. So I woke up, and all of a sudden I was like, lord, this dream

  590. was prophetic.

  591. What are you trying to tell me?

  592. And the Lord said, you, wife has been working so hard on your

  593. family, on your church.

  594. She wants to be transformed by the transformer.

  595. And she doesn't want to sing worship.

  596. She wants to do something that's fun, that's not just labor

  597. and ministry.

  598. So I start to tell that word to Julie, and she starts bawling

  599. her eyes out.

  600. She's like, that's exactly how I feel.

  601. And I felt like the Holy Spirit was behind me.

  602. Like, you idiot, Mike.

  603. But the re.

  604. Because.

  605. And so, you know, sometimes you need to sing, you know, open

  606. the eyes of my heart, Lord.

  607. And sometimes you need to sing, you know, West Virginia, Mountain

  608. Mama, Take Me Home, Country Roads.

  609. That's what they sing where I'm from.

  610. But you get my point.

  611. My point in saying that was the Lord was like, mike, I don't

  612. want you to work on Julie.

  613. I want you to work on you.

  614. And I'll give you a revelation for Julie.

  615. Does that make sense?

  616. Like, mike, I would have told you this about your wife when you

  617. were awake, but you're so focused, you missed what I was trying

  618. to show you.

  619. Was that worth your time?

  620. Okay, well, we'll move on.

  621. But that's what I see in numbers.

    Numbers 14 chapter mention

  622. Chapter 14 is they're blaming Moses.

  623. They're looking externally, not internally.

  624. But if they would have looked internally, they could have collaborated

  625. externally.

  626. Then it says, would that we had died in the land of Egypt.

  627. Or would that we had died in this wilderness.

  628. Why is the Lord bringing us back to the land to fall by the sword?

  629. And then look what it says.

  630. Our wives and our little ones will become a prey.

  631. And, you know, it's so funny because they use the kids.

  632. Look at.

  633. My kids are suffering.

  634. I have to move out of New York City.

  635. Look, God, it has to be your will for me to go down to Orlando.

  636. I just.

  637. I feel it, Lord, what about my children?

  638. You know, it's like we have.

  639. What we do is instead of seeking God for the appointment,

  640. we try to convince God of the suggestion.

  641. And we try to give God all the reasons.

  642. See, but what if you got off the throne and let him sit on the

  643. throne?

  644. Then you sat at his feet and said, not my will, but thy will.

  645. And where do you want me to be?

  646. Cause I'll tell you what, that's how I ended up here.

  647. So does this help Luke?

  648. Now, this is.

  649. Okay, now, let me say this as a church.

  650. Cause we only have 72 minutes left for this Bible study.

  651. Look, they make the timers go in the back and blame the team.

  652. I've never gone over a sermon.

  653. I only use the time they give me.

  654. So you gotta go back there and talk to them.

  655. You tell them, put the timer on me.

  656. I'm trying to help you.

  657. Because this word is of utmost importance.

  658. Now, we have a whole Bible approach here at V1 Church.

  659. That means we do not see a division between Old and New Testament.

  660. The Old Testament is the type and shadow of the Old Covenant.

  661. And Jesus said, I did not come to abolish the law, but rather I

  662. came to fulfill it.

  663. So there's a continuity between the Testaments.

  664. Does this make sense?

  665. So now we've been primarily in the Old Testament.

  666. Let's go to the New Testament.

  667. And I want us to look at Matthew and.

  668. Or.

  669. No, no, no.

  670. We're gonna go to Luke 12.

  671. I like the way that's worded better.

  672. Luke, chapter 12, verse 54.

    Luke 12:54

  673. Luke, chapter 12, verse54.

    Luke 12 chapter mention

  674. And say amen when you found it.

  675. Luke, chapter 12 verse.

    Luke 12 chapter mention

  676. Man, you guys are fast.

  677. You're doing this digitally.

  678. You're not finding it in your physical Bible.

  679. Y'all are lying from yourself.

  680. Okay, I gave you an easy one.

  681. I'll make you find Habakkuk next.

  682. Come on, now.

  683. Okay, so Luke.

  684. Okay, this is what it says now.

  685. The subtitle in ESV says, interpreting the time.

  686. Now, it says in verse 54.

  687. This is Jesus speaking.

  688. He said, also to the crowds.

  689. When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once a shower

  690. is coming.

  691. And so it happens.

  692. And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, there will

  693. be scorching heat.

  694. And it happens.

  695. You hypocrites.

  696. You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but

  697. why do you not know how to interpret the present time?

  698. In other words, he's saying, how do you know the weather for the

  699. next week in New York City, but you don't know the will of the

  700. Father?

  701. You spend more time listening for the weather than you do listening

  702. for his will.

  703. This is what needs to be talked about.

  704. It's like, I think we're living in a time where we have to

  705. say, God, help me discern today.

  706. Today, today.

  707. Because Christians who can't discern God's will today will have

  708. a Bible study that is satisfying and ingratiating their

  709. own desires while the world around them is going to hell.

  710. And the Lord called you to evangelism, but you're not picking

  711. mantle.

  712. Because we want to feed ourself instead of feeding the sheep,

  713. we want to have our own.

  714. Come on.

  715. There's something about God, help me discern the time.

  716. This is why we.

  717. Man, how could you go to a job where nobody knows you're a Christian?

  718. Discern the time.

  719. You're not going to eternally be a nurse.

  720. So do the things that align with your eternal identity, not your

  721. temporary one.

  722. Come.

  723. You get what I'm saying?

  724. The alignment for the appointment comes when we say God.

  725. I'm gonna do what makes the most sense according to my eternal

  726. destiny, not my temporary assignment.

  727. Does that make sense?

  728. And your family doesn't even believe you're a Christian because

  729. you smoke weed with them.

  730. Last Thanksgiving, somebody like, is he livestreaming into my

  731. house?

  732. Is he Faith, listen, it's not about weed.

  733. It's about the fact that you keep compromising your standard for

  734. godliness and the way that you curse and you talk with your tongue

  735. fresh and salt water can't come out of the same.

  736. Come on.

  737. You're gonna have to give up the F word so that you can start

  738. saying what God, Thus saith the Lord.

  739. You're gonna have to give up the S, the D, the B.

  740. You're gonna have to give it up.

  741. Like, there's some things that you give up to go up.

  742. You're gonna.

  743. I know your body hurts and you say you use it for pain, but the

  744. only thing you haven't tried for your pain is his promise.

  745. You haven't tried the Holy Ghost, but you've tried every flavor

  746. of marijuana.

  747. You haven't tried faith, but you've tried everything else and

  748. said, well, I just drink a little bit to help me get to sleep.

  749. Come on.

  750. Is God enough or is he not enough?

  751. And we've got to come out of the world.

  752. Come out and be ye separate.

  753. This is a call to holiness.

  754. This is a call to righteousness.

  755. This is a call to say, God, either your word is true or it's

  756. a lie.

  757. And I will to be in the truth.

  758. You got to give up to go up.

  759. And when you become a Christian, you don't become sinless,

  760. but you should sin less.

  761. And as you go on a maturity journey, you sin less and less and

  762. less and less.

  763. And you can't.

  764. I've been a Christian 15 years.

  765. Well, it doesn't look like it.

  766. Why?

  767. Because chronologically you're getting older, but spiritually, you're

  768. not graduating your semesters.

  769. Pass the gossip test.

  770. Pass the gossip test.

  771. Well, it's not gossip.

  772. It's just that I see things that I need to deal with and I'm

  773. trying to help bring people into alignment with the vision.

  774. And it's not gossip.

  775. They just trust me, and they don't trust to go to the pastors.

  776. It's not gossip.

  777. It's not gossip.

  778. You know, the more times you repeat that, all you're doing is

  779. proving that you know it's gossip.

  780. You know, the more time you say, I'm not afraid, I'm not afraid.

  781. I'm not afraid.

  782. I'm not afraid.

  783. I'm not afraid.

  784. I'm not afraid.

  785. I'm not afraid.

  786. I'm not afraid.

  787. It's not gossip.

  788. It's not gossip.

  789. It's not gossip.

  790. It's not gossip.

  791. It's not gossip.

  792. It's not gossip.

  793. You know, you have to say that because you know what you're doing.

  794. Here's a gossip test.

  795. Act like the conversation's recorded and play it for the people

  796. you're talking about.

  797. That's the test.

  798. Like Ric Flair attends this church.

  799. That's the gospel, Brooklyn.

  800. If we're going to have a healthy church, we need to be the

  801. kind of church that when you hear the conversation about somebody,

  802. they are encouraged by that secret recording, not destroyed.

  803. That is how I've gotten this far in ministry is I talk about people

  804. in such a way where as if it was recorded, they're gonna be encouraged.

  805. Now, it doesn't mean they always understand what a leader says,

  806. but the heart and the intention is to edify and to build

  807. up, not to destroy.

  808. So as I come to my third close, what he's saying in Luke chapter

    Luke 12:54

  809. 12, verse 54 and 56 is he's saying to them, lord, help me.

  810. You know, you spend so much time in the physical realm that you

  811. have forsaken the spiritual realm.

  812. And right now we need to increase in that.

  813. You know, there's a let's bring the music so it'll make me

  814. stop preaching.

  815. There's a New York Times story that covered a woman who basically

  816. quit this really high paying job because what happened was she

  817. realized that it was the wrong season and she started a nonprofit.

  818. And that nonprofit now feeds thousands of children.

  819. So the point in that is it's not that her high paying job was

  820. the wrong decision.

  821. It just became the wrong decision over time.

  822. And then she started this non profit and thousands of people are

  823. being as a result of it.

  824. What does that mean?

  825. Some of you are even cursing a previous season and God's trying

  826. to say to you with love and compassion, it's not that you did

  827. the wrong thing.

  828. It's just that it becomes wrong if you stay in it too long.

  829. It becomes wrong if you.

  830. So it's like, yeah, that job was where I taught you things and

  831. I imparted things and I took you through a character test.

  832. It doesn't mean you made the wrong decision.

  833. It just means it was right for that season.

  834. And some of you are still cursing another church and you're

  835. like, oh, I should have never gone, no.

  836. The Lord's like, no, I did call you to that church.

  837. You did hear from me.

  838. And if you would stop being so bitter about that pastor, you could

  839. actually honor him for what he did.

  840. Teach you that.

  841. I brought you there to learn.

  842. Oh, I know.

  843. Ain't nobody shout me down on that one.

  844. I'll make you write a letter to that pastor and thank him.

  845. Because sometimes we curse a season, like, but it doesn't make

  846. sense, because we don't curse a semester.

  847. We're thankful for the ABCs.

  848. We're thankful for what we learned in the previous semesters,

  849. because we understand that one semester builds upon another semester.

  850. So you don't get mad at your elementary school teacher for being

  851. elementary because you went on to greater things.

  852. So don't be mad at your previous pastor for being elementary.

  853. Oh, I'm trying to help you.

  854. Come on.

  855. Come on.

  856. Don't be mad at him for being what God called him to be.

  857. This foolishness and what I'm trying to do.

  858. Yeah, come on.

  859. Play that emotional music so they get this.

  860. Let's mature together.

  861. Let's mature together.

  862. You know what New York City needs?

  863. A mature church.

  864. A consistent church, a faithful church.

  865. A church where people are not prophylying, they're prophesying.

  866. A church where they're preaching the gospel, not preaching

  867. their own preferences.

  868. A church where they're available, not unavailable.

  869. We need this.

  870. And I feel like God is doing something special in our midst right

  871. now.

  872. Now, I want to give you homework.

  873. Uh.

  874. Oh.

  875. I want you to write this down.

  876. Cause this week, while you're in your daily growth journal, I want

  877. you to do this.

  878. I want you to spend five minutes a day in silence, maybe after

  879. you get done reading the Word or whatever.

  880. And I want you to set a timer.

  881. Now, I'm not gonna say what the name is of the assistant on your

  882. phone, but all you have to do is tell your phone, hey, somebody

  883. set a timer for five minutes.

  884. And when you set that timer for five minutes, I want you to just

  885. stay there and I want you to say, God, help me discern the season

  886. I'm in.

  887. I want to know your appointed time.

  888. I want to step out of suggested into appointed.

  889. I don't want to be like the children of Israel in numbers, chapter

    Numbers 14 chapter mention

  890. 14.

  891. I don't want to be like the people that Jesus was judging in

  892. the book of Luke, because you see a pattern.

  893. The people that couldn't recognize what God was doing.

  894. And there was, and God was trying to get them to recognize it.

  895. Now, how many of you feel like time the older you get?

  896. Time moves faster and faster.

  897. You know what I'm Talking about.

  898. Okay, I'm gonna tell you something.

  899. There are no adults in the kingdom, only children.

  900. So you have to go back to becoming like a child.

  901. And that means slowing down.

  902. Somebody say slow down.

  903. Tell your neighbor, slow down.

  904. Come on.

  905. This is wisdom.

  906. Slow down.

  907. Now, here's why I said that.

  908. Oh, time goes by so fast.

  909. If you stop scrolling on your phone and you put a timer for five

  910. minutes and you say, lord, I'm gonna sit here for five.

  911. It's gonna be a long five minutes.

  912. Try praying for an hour on a timer, and you'll be like, suddenly

  913. life is so slow.

  914. This is gonna help you.

  915. Yes, it is.

  916. Because a lot of times I ask the Lord, why am I shepherding and

  917. leading in this generation?

  918. And My birthday is 6:16.

  919. June 16th is my birthday.

  920. And Jeremiah 6:16 is, Be a keeper of the ancient paths.

    Jeremiah 6:16

  921. That is my calling, to be in a modern generation, to be a keeper

  922. of ancient paths.

  923. Put your timer on and go.

  924. And just say, lord, speak.

  925. And he will, and he will.

  926. And time will slow down.

  927. And your mind.

  928. You'll start to get your mind back.

  929. Because in the previous season, you learned the power of

  930. deliverance, how to cast out.

  931. But now you need to learn the power of discipline, how to pull

  932. down.

  933. You cast a demon out, but you pull a stronghold down.

  934. And some of you know how to do deliverance, but you don't know how

  935. to do discipline.

  936. So we gotta go into discipline and pull strongholds down.

  937. But the way you pull a stronghold down is day by day.

  938. Everybody say day by day.

  939. Inch by inch, everything's a cinch.

  940. Yard by yard, it gets real hard.

  941. That's a hillbilly way of saying, tomorrow is in the womb.

  942. It's not born yet.

  943. Yesterday is in the tomb.

  944. It's dead.

  945. Today is all we've got, which is why it's called the present.

  946. It's a gift.

  947. So we're gonna switch into daily bread.

  948. Not weekly, not monthly, not yearly.

  949. Everybody's like, give me a word for 20, 25.

  950. Give me the year for the word no.

  951. Give me today.

  952. Give me today.

  953. All right, so here's what I want you to do.

  954. Spend five minutes every day for the next six days in silence

  955. on a timer.

  956. Then I want you to journal your answer about what God's saying

  957. about the season you're in.

  958. And let me tell you, he's gonna shift you.

  959. And the reason why that's so good for you is because he's gonna

  960. speak to you very, very plainly.

  961. And you gotta journal, just like the woman that was Like I'm

  962. in this high paying job, but I need to start a non profit.

  963. And now she feeds thousands of people.

  964. She had to hear that word.

  965. She had to get that assignment.

  966. And so God will speak.

  967. He's faithful to speak.

  968. And then thirdly, I want you to share it with a trusted friend

  969. for accountability.

  970. Why?

  971. Because I'm trying to take gossip and turn it into discerning

  972. yourself.

  973. So instead of going to a trusted friend to talk about somebody

  974. else, go to a trusted friend for the next six days and talk about

  975. yourself.

  976. Does this make sense?

  977. So for the next six days, go to an accountability and be like,

  978. hey, I've been spending this time, you don't have to do it every

  979. day, but a couple of times this week go and say, hey, I've been

  980. hearing what this from the Lord and I want to hold myself accountable

  981. to that.

  982. And then write this scripture down.

  983. Psalm chapter 31, verse 5.

    Psalms 31:5

  984. Psalm, chapter 31, verse 5.

    Psalms 31:5

  985. Because for many of you, you're still struggling with what

  986. to pray.

  987. But if you learn to pray the scriptures, you'll never pray wrong.

  988. Pray the word.

  989. Pray the word.

  990. So I'm gonna give you this verse.

  991. It says in Psalm 31:15, so every day for the next six days,

    Psalms 31:15

  992. I want you to do this.

  993. And then you end by praying the word.

  994. And I want you to pray this.

  995. It says It's Psalm chapter 31, verse 15.

    Psalms 31:15

  996. My times are in your hands.

  997. Rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors.

  998. Rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors.

  999. So that right there is your prayer.

1000. So God, my times are in your hand.

1001. Rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors.

1002. So I know you're writing that down.

1003. I'm going to give you a second to finish, but I want you to pray

  1004. Psalms 31:15.

    Psalms 31:15

1005. Let me tell you why you are not gonna die prematurely.

1006. So I rebuke the voice of the devil trying to convince you.

1007. But we also are gonna pull that stronghold down and say, God,

1008. my times are in your hand.

1009. I will not die until it's time for me to die.

1010. So you get what I'm saying.

  1011. It's like.

1012. But I'm also not gonna rush myself into other assignments.

1013. Lord, you tell me when you I'm gonna reach out, I'm gonna be accountable

1014. for what you're saying, and I'm gonna switch into the time.

1015. This is the wisdom of rhythm, the rhythm of wisdom.

1016. This is the timing of God.

  1017. Discern, discern.

  1018. Somebody Say discern.

1019. Okay, it looks like you're done writing, so stand to your feet

1020. with me because I want to prophetically praise God.

1021. I just want to personally minister to each, every one of you

1022. right now, in this moment.

1023. So you don't have to close your eyes, but I do.

1024. For many of you, if you close your eyes, you'll remove the distractions.

  1025. Okay?

1026. So I just want to minister to you in this moment.

  1027. Slow down.

1028. Oh, I'm too old to get married.

1029. No, you'll get married on God's appointed time.

  1030. Oh.

  1031. Oh, no.

  1032. I've missed my window.

  1033. No.

1034. Oh, I should have been successful already.

1035. No, I want to speak to the need for validation.

1036. What if I told you that the Lord said, because you have not found

1037. validation in me, I can't release the desires of your heart

1038. because that thing would give you validation instead of me?

1039. And what if the Lord's saying, it's not yet until you.

1040. Matter of fact, some of you, your metric for success is more of

  1041. a clapback than a confirmation.

1042. In other words, you want to succeed to prove something to someone

  1043. else.

1044. And the Lord says, as long as you're trying to succeed to prove

1045. something to someone else, you're going to be withheld from

1046. that level of success because the Lord wants to complete something

1047. on the inside of you so that you do not need success as the metric

  1048. of your identity.

1049. So I want to minister to you right now.

1050. You don't have nothing to prove.

1051. You don't have nothing to prove.

  1052. You don't need a new purse.

1053. You don't need to get your nails done every two weeks.

1054. It's okay if your roots are showing.

1055. Come on, I'm talking to somebody.

1056. Who are you trying to prove something to?

  1057. Your.

1058. Your value does not increase with the value of the things you

  1059. purchase.

1060. I'm just trying to break some strongholds right now.

1061. And there's a lot of shame on the people of God.

1062. And the devil tempts you through the shame.

1063. Some of you are ashamed of who you're married to.

1064. And I just want to tell you, you made a covenant, and the Lord

1065. is going to do something in your marriage this year, and the

1066. Lord is going to begin to work on that marriage.

1067. And you do not have to be ashamed of who you're married to.

  1068. Come on.

1069. I'm speaking into something right now.

1070. And I release the word of the Lord over your marriage right now.

1071. That God would begin to strengthen them in areas and strengthen

1072. you in areas and bring you together.

1073. And you will not be ashamed any longer that God will turn your

1074. shame and reproach into a double portion this year upon your

  1075. marriage.

  1076. God, heal marriages.

  1077. God, heal marriages.

  1078. God, heal marriages.

1079. There's some of you that feel like, well, my spouse isn't is spiritually

  1080. strong.

1081. And I hear the Lord saying, no, they're strong in another way.

1082. And if you will learn how to value and honor their strength, you

1083. will actually cause a greater unity.

1084. It's just a different kind of strength.

1085. And there's even some of you, and I'm speaking to women.

1086. You're almost looking at your husband being like, oh, he's not

  1087. spiritual enough.

1088. But there might be a counterbalance in him.

1089. There might be something that the Lord is trying to do, and you've

1090. got to actually acknowledge how are they strong?

1091. And through honor, there's going to be an increase in blessing

  1092. upon your marriage.

  1093. And men.

1094. I just want to tell you, just like the Lord spoke to me through

1095. that prophetic dream for my wife and said, my wife needs more

  1096. fun.

1097. And the Lord realigned my priority.

1098. I want to pray over the husband.

1099. Lift your hand if you're married, a husband.

1100. How many husbands do we have?

  1101. Praise God.

1102. I want to pray for the husbands over your wife.

1103. Okay, Father, I pray for the husbands right now that they would

  1104. increase husbands.

1105. I'm going to bring it to you real right now.

  1106. You've been solicited.

1107. You're getting tempted in your mind.

  1108. Your fantasies need to.

1109. You're given too much to that fantasy, and you need to watch it

  1110. because the enemy's putting a wedge.

1111. And I hear the Lord saying that that he is gonna oh, man, you

  1112. feel like a failure.

1113. You feel like you've already messed up your marriage.

1114. And deep down inside, there's some of you that are using that as

  1115. an excuse.

1116. And you have one foot out the door.

1117. I see you, like, one foot out the door.

1118. And I heard the Lord say, son, close that door and get back in your

  1119. house.

1120. Son, close that door and get back in your house.

1121. And matter of fact, I wanna impart a word to the husbands right

  1122. now.

1123. This is just for the Brooklyn campus.

1124. We're not on the Internet.

  1125. I l canceled the Internet thing.

1126. I said, play the last sermon for the Internet.

1127. I want to talk to Brooklyn today.

  1128. This is for you.

1129. I hear the Lord saying, and I want to impart this to husbands because

1130. I feel like when I say this phrase, it's going to get pushed

  1131. into your gut hard.

1132. It's going to give you the resolve that you need.

1133. I heard the Lord saying, son, it's your house.

1134. Take Dominion over your house.

  1135. Take dominion.

  1136. It's your house, son.

1137. Lock that door and guard that door.

  1138. Oh, come on.

1139. I see you let the double barrel shotgun locked and loaded.

  1140. And you're looking.

1141. And you need to look at fantasy as an intruder, and you need

1142. to shoot that intruder down.

1143. Don't let him through the door.

1144. You say this is the body of the woman who bore my children.

  1145. That's the body I'm devoted to.

1146. Not to someone else's body on Instagram.

1147. I'm gonna shoot that thing before it gets in the house.

  1148. Come on.

1149. I'm talking to somebody right now.

1150. Okay, let me just keep ministering a few more minutes, then

  1151. we'll get out.

1152. I just keep seeing the word regret.

  1153. Regret, regret, regret.

1154. Let me tell you what I'm actually seeing in the spirit right

  1155. now.

1156. I saw the word regret, and the Lord took the word and placed it

  1157. like a bridge.

1158. And he actually said, I'm gonna use regret to bridge the past

1159. into the present and all the things that they thought were a mistake.

1160. I'm gonna turn it around and ransom and use it all.

1161. And the Lord said, even the things that were not my will, that

1162. you did, I'm gonna use it and give it to you like a we.

  1163. That good.

  1164. I'm that good.

1165. The Lord says, even the things you did that I was not in, I'm still

1166. gonna use it to your advantage.

1167. And I saw regret being a bridge into the present, and there's

1168. something about that Lord's like, I'm gonna use it.

  1169. I didn't even intend it.

  1170. I didn't even.

1171. You, yeah, you were wrong.

1172. But I'm still gonna use it.

  1173. I'm that.

1174. And I feel like right now, I want you to get a revelation of the

1175. goodness of God, the mercy of God, and I keep hearing the Lord

1176. saying, these people do not know how good I am.

  1177. You are legalistic.

1178. There's many of you that are str.

  1179. Under legalism.

1180. You don't know the heart of the Father.

  1181. You don't know forgiveness.

  1182. You don't know grace.

  1183. Come on.

  1184. You're under some legalism.

1185. Lift your hands if you want to be freed from a religious spirit

1186. of legalism that some of you, if you deal with shame and condemnation

1187. and guilt, just lift your hands.

1188. Let me pray for you, Father, right now.

1189. In the name of Jesus, I speak to every single lie from the enemy.

1190. We break the power of that lie off of you.

1191. In the name of Jesus.

1192. And I speak to every legalistic spirit that has tried

1193. to tell them that they're gonna earn the grace of God.

1194. That they're gonna earn their salvation, that they're gonna earn

1195. their future, that they're gonna earn the promise of God.

  1196. And I say no.

1197. Whom the sun sets free is free indeed.

  1198. I say no.

1199. We're gonna step into the promise because he is good.

  1200. Wow.

  1201. Yeah.

1202. Be free, be free, be free, be free, be free.

1203. I sense the presence of some pastors in this room.

1204. I sense the presence of some pastors in this room.

1205. I feel the presence of some pastors.

  1206. There's some.

  1207. Eddie and Jocelyn.

1208. There's some pastors that are undercover in this.

  1209. In this auditorium, hiding.

1210. I feel their presence in the spirit realm right now.

1211. I sense the presence of some prophets.

  1212. Hiding.

  1213. Hiding.

1214. There's a matter of fact, there's hiding happening in this

  1215. campus.

1216. What do I mean by hiding?

1217. Hiding your gifting, hiding your destiny, Hiding your calling.

  1218. And you know what?

1219. I'm calling you out of hiding now.

  1220. I'm calling you out.

1221. So what, you got hurt.

  1222. Jesus got hurt.

1223. He got crucified by the people that he died for.

1224. He came to save them and they killed him.

1225. Come on, let's suffer together.

1226. Let's take up the cross.

1227. Oh, I'm speaking to somebody.

1228. Brooklyn, this campus is special.

  1229. This campus is different.

  1230. Y'all.

1231. You need to understand, you better cherish what you have.

1232. God is going to use this campus like a weapon against the

  1233. enemy.

1234. And I see this place exploding.

  1235. We're gonna.

1236. I'm telling you, I see souls that we're gonna run rush out over

  1237. the enemy.

1238. But you gotta come out of hiding.

1239. And you know, for you, many of you, it's time to take your moment.

  1240. Delay.

  1241. Don't delay.

1242. Don't be like the children of Israel.

  1243. You cried already.

1244. You complained about Moses and Aaron, but become Joshua and Caleb.

  1245. Now I feel freedom.

1246. Y'all don't even know what is being deposited into you right now.

1247. I've already seen the future of it.

1248. But you gotta water this seed now.

1249. You gotta water this seed.

  1250. I know I took too long.

  1251. I took 62 minutes.

1252. Y'all are never coming back again.

1253. Will you come back next Sunday?

  1254. Okay.

1255. Are you mad at me?

  1256. Okay, who said yes?

1257. Go arrest them right now.

  1258. Go arrest them.

1259. Put cups on them and drag them out.

1260. Okay, now look at me like I'm on the stage.

  1261. I don't know why I'm here.

1262. I would not have picked me.

  1263. You understand?

  1264. I know me.

1265. I would not have picked me.

1266. I would not have picked myself.

1267. And matter of fact, many, many times in life, I did not pick myself.

  1268. That's Why I sit.

1269. Oh, you're getting how deep this is.

  1270. I sinned because I didn't agree with God's choice.

  1271. This is very profound.

1272. It sounds simple, but I sinned because I didn't.

1273. I came out of agreement with God's choice.

1274. And finally, what you're looking at when I get up here is

1275. not, I'm better than you.

  1276. No, no.

1277. I'm literally below you, trying to push you up, saying, I

1278. don't know why God picked me.

  1279. I surrendered to it.

1280. I said yes to it.

  1281. I keep saying yes.

  1282. I keep showing up.

  1283. I keep doing.

  1284. And I just.

1285. I went through my own Instagram the other day, like, the

1286. last 10 years of it.

1287. Cause I got Instagram in 2011, and I was looking at all the pictures,

1288. and I felt like when I was preparing for this sermon, the Lord

1289. wanted me to take inventory.

1290. And I was just looking at all the seasons of my life.

1291. And 10 years ago, from this day, where we're at right now, if

1292. you're like, where was Mike 10 years ago, I had about seven interns,

1293. and I was the executive pastor of a church.

1294. And every morning I would open up sparkling gems by Rick Renner,

1295. and I would teach them out of that.

  1296. I didn't have the multitudes.

1297. I didn't have virality on the Internet.

1298. I was unknown, and I was teaching.

1299. Now what's so crazy to me is ten years later, Rick Renner, who

1300. wrote the book I would teach my interns every day, is coming to

1301. our church to preach, and has become one of my best friends.

1302. I never thought I'd ever meet the dude, but my ambition was not

  1303. to be famous.

1304. My ambition was to be faithful.

1305. And if you stop trying to be famous and start trying to be faithful,

1306. God can raise you up despite yourself.

1307. And so it's like, I didn't go on this journey being like, oh, Lord,

1308. I can't wait until they finally know my name.

1309. I said, God, I don't care if they ever know my name, but if Christ

1310. be lifted up, he will draw all men unto him.

  1311. It's about Jesus.

1312. So get over yourself and your fake false humility.

1313. God wants to use you to make Jesus known.

  1314. That's what it is.

1315. It's actually another form of pride.

1316. Oh, I'm just gonna come and go, no, that's false humility.

  1317. That's a different form of pride.

1318. What you're saying is that Christ can't make his name known

1319. through you because you want to be silent when he's saying, son,

  1320. use your voice.

  1321. Was that too raw?

  1322. That's good.

  1323. That's okay by you.

  1324. That's okay.

1325. Come here in front of everybody, hold my hand.

1326. I've been waiting to tell you how proud I am of you.

1327. I've been waiting to tell you that.

1328. And I want you to.

1329. I want you to know that the.

1330. The affirmation of the Father is on you.

  1331. This guy's got a podcast, and it's a good podcast.

1332. I'm endorsing it from the stage.

1333. But, you know, I was on TikTok, and all of a sudden I came

  1334. and I said, I know him.

1335. And then he said, you know, Pastor Mike said in his sermon, and

1336. I said, this guy's getting extra credit.

1337. But you know what I love is that you keep saying yes and you

1338. keep going on that journey and we're better together.

1339. And I want to affirm you even in front of the church to say that

1340. as you continue to be faithful, you're becoming example

1341. of how we over the me.

1342. You get what I'm saying?

1343. Jesus did not teach them I and me.

1344. He taught them we and us.

1345. So right now, everybody lift your hands and we're gonna pray this

  1346. thing out.

  1347. Come on.

1348. Father, I thank you right now over each and every life that we

1349. have represented that they're coming out of hiding, that they're

1350. coming out of obscurity, that they're gonna say yes to do.

  1351. They're gonna sign up.

1352. They're gonna show up, God.

  1353. They're gonna sign up.

1354. They're gonna show up, God.

1355. They're gonna step into their moment.

  1356. I thank you.
