  1. I got a word for y' all.

  2. Someone said, man, I came down.

  3. I came to be to.

  4. To pull on heaven.

  5. Amen.

  6. Come on, give God a praise.

  7. God's good.

  8. Amen.

  9. Good morning.

  10. The one Amen.

  11. Y' all may be seated.

  12. Praise the Lord.

  13. Y' all make a brother want to go back to praising again.

  14. Man, I want to just give thanks to Pastor Mike and his lovely

  15. wife for giving me this opportunity to come.

  16. Thank you.

  17. Thank you.

  18. And man, I'm excited.

  19. It's so.

  20. This is a dream come true.

  21. I'm serious.

  22. It's a dream to be here with you all.

  23. Amen.

  24. Really quick, for those that don't know me, my name is Joey.

  25. I'm from Hammond, Indiana.

  26. I pastor a wonderful church called Northgate.

  27. I'm so blessed.

  28. Amen.

  29. I've been married for 30 years.

  30. I'm going to be 31 on August 18th.

  31. God is good.

  32. That's my best friend.

  33. She's back at home.

  34. She couldn't come with me, but man, that's everything for me.

  35. That's my cheerleader, my ride or die.

  36. Before I come here, I had to hear her voice.

  37. She was praying over me and I said, baby, man, that's all I need.

  38. Thank you.

  39. She's a gift.

  40. Amen.

  41. She's my treasure box.

  42. I'm trying to get brownie points.

  43. Amen.

  44. She is really my best friend.

  45. I have four amazing sons.

  46. They all love Jesus.

  47. Amen.

  48. And I got three wonderful daughter in laws.

  49. They too love Jesus.

  50. Man, I could keep going because I'm talking about lasting

  51. fruit.

  52. Amen.

  53. And I got nine grandchildren.

  54. That's why I got white hair.

  55. They're amazing.

  56. And it's awesome to be a grandfa, a grandpa, you know, I'm

  57. papa, you know, at home.

  58. And it's definitely an amazing gift.

  59. Amen.

  60. And I have my son Julian with me.

  61. Would you all applaud my son?

  62. He came out here to hang out with me.

  63. Amen.

  64. And man, I'm honored because y' all don't know Mike the way I

  65. know Mike.

  66. Pastor Mike, that man, I was at his house yesterday and, man,

  67. did we start reminiscing.

  68. And when I saw Pastor Sandra, man, he says that I make him feel

  69. young, but when I saw Pastor Sandra, she was making me feel young

  70. because we go way back.

  71. I walked in and all I did was like.

  72. And just.

  73. Man, I was wrecked.

  74. You know, we go back, back, and I remember Mike being.

  75. He ain't lying.

  76. We were in the hood.

  77. I'm going to tell you, he ain't lying in that Same hood.

  78. I was stabbed in that same hood.

  79. I was shot at in that hood.

  80. I got jumped by 10 guys, got my head smashed.

  81. I mean, you talk about the hood, but Jesus did something.

  82. And he says, not today, Satan.

  83. I'm saving this one for me.

  84. Amen.

  85. Mike came on board.

  86. You know, he was one of my youth.

  87. And, you know, one thing that I don't tell much, folks, and I was

  88. just sharing that with Sister Sandra in the green room.

  89. I said, you know, one thing that I don't tell too many folk about

  90. Brother Mike, he had an anger issue.

  91. Yeah.

  92. The life that, you know, that he went through, you know, And I

  93. say this to say this.

  94. God will put you in places where folks can love that thing right

  95. out of you.

  96. And he became my youth.

  97. And that's all I did.

  98. When Mike came into my youth, I said, oh, man, I see Jesus all

  99. over him.

  100. And he be.

  101. You know, I said, no, that's okay.

  102. We gonna love you.

  103. And sure enough, you know, we.

  104. Man, when Mike went to my church, and, man, I didn't even think

  105. about this, to be honest with you, but he went to my church and

  106. he said, Pastor Joe was my youth pastor.

  107. And, boy, he did nothing.

  108. No fun to the youth.

  109. It was straight boot camp with him.

  110. I said, oh, man.

  111. And I was in the back and I shrunk.

  112. And I told my wife I sucked as a leader.

  113. Good God, you know, because honestly, I tell everyone I was riding

  114. on a wave of my first love, and I wanted all my youth that I

  115. led to experience that love.

  116. I made these youth.

  117. Now, mind you, 14, 15 years of age, I was making these youths fast.

  118. And I'm not talking this craziness.

  119. Well, I'm going to fast from YouTube and I'm going to fast from

  120. TV.

  121. No, we didn't even have that.

  122. All we had was water.

  123. I said, y' all going to be fasting, and we're going to just

  124. drink water at 6 in the morning.

  125. We're going to rise up and we going to praise the Lord.

  126. Now, the adults weren't even doing this, man.

  127. All of a sudden, we were in the lower part of our church and

  128. the youth started to grow.

  129. I had a meeting with my dad.

  130. I said, hey, Dad, y' all ain't got a lot of adults.

  131. I need that sanctuary.

  132. So they had to go down to the little room, and I filled half that

  133. sanctuary up with youth.

  134. Amen.

  135. Come on, let's give God a praise.

  136. Amen.

  137. God was doing something.

  138. All right, Pastor Mike.

  139. And then I had all the families drop off all their youth

  140. in the morning.

  141. On a Saturday morning.

  142. Come on.

  143. There's no youth that don't like coming to church at no Saturday

  144. morning at no.

  145. 7, 8.

  146. But I met man, they came and they were ready.

  147. They said, what are we doing today?

  148. I said, we're going to walk around these blocks and this hood.

  149. Yeah, this hood.

  150. We're going to walk around her, and we're going to walk around

  151. her like Jericho.

  152. We're going to declare salvation for the lives of every

  153. person here.

  154. Big old person like me, and then a whole bunch of little people

  155. back at me.

  156. We're over there preaching and worshiping and praying in Jesus name.

  157. I said, all right, Mike, your turn now.

  158. He get up in there.

  159. In Jesus name we declare.

  160. He go praying.

  161. And after we finished that one, he tapped the next one.

  162. All right, Robert, your turn.

  163. In Jesus name we declare.

  164. And everyone in the back just said, yes.

  165. Amen.

  166. Hallelujah.

  167. Yeah, let's go.

  168. Let's go.

  169. Ain't nobody doing none of that.

  170. But, man, we had a vision.

  171. We saw people coming to Christ.

  172. And the more we were doing these radical things, the more the

  173. youth grew.

  174. That's why today we want to talk about the topic of fruit that

  175. remains.

  176. Amen.

  177. That's why I entitled today's message, fruit that outlives you.

  178. Someone say, man, fruit that outlives me is for me.

  179. Amen.

  180. Now, that kind of fruit, it takes one for you to have that kind

  181. of fruit, it's going to require you to abide.

  182. That's when we have to take off the watches, because, you know,

  183. the apple watch, you know, it's a distraction.

  184. You know, it's when you get your phone and say, you know what?

  185. I got to put this away because I'm going to dwell.

  186. I'm going to abide.

  187. I don't want no distraction.

  188. Let me take off the time.

  189. I don't want to know about the time.

  190. God, it's me and you.

  191. I want fruit that's going to last.

  192. Is anyone out there watching me say fruit that lasts?

  193. And here is the truth, like I was saying earlier, in Christ, when

  194. we remain in Christ, it does not remove the struggle.

  195. It gives us strength for the struggle.

  196. Amen.

  197. Just because I am abiding doesn't mean that he is going to

  198. remove the problem.

  199. No, he gives me the strength to endure the problem.

  200. Come on.

  201. There's a story about a young little boy that saw a cocoon.

  202. I don't know if y' all ever heard about this story.

  203. And he saw this cocoon and he saw this butterfly was trying to

  204. break out of it and he said, you know what, I'm going to help

  205. this little guy out.

  206. And so he opened it a little bit so that it would make the job

  207. easier for this butterfly to get out when the butterfly came out,

  208. because he made it easy for him.

  209. The butterfly came out, but he couldn't fly.

  210. Why couldn't he fly?

  211. He said to himself, why couldn't this?

  212. I made it easy for you to get out, why didn't you fly?

  213. I'm going to tell you something.

  214. While he was in that cocoon and was wrestling and struggling

  215. to get out, it was strengthening his wings.

  216. But because somebody made it easy, he came out premature.

  217. And when it was time to fly, he fell.

  218. There's some people you've been asking God, let me get out,

  219. let me get out.

  220. God said, be quiet because when you get out, you're going to

  221. be able to sustain.

  222. Who am I talking to?

  223. You're going to be able to stand on your own two feet.

  224. You're going to know how to pray for yourself.

  225. You're going to know how to encourage others because you know

  226. what it took to stay in and to finally break out.

  227. And nobody can get credit other than God.

  228. Tell your neighbor, leave me alone.

  229. When my time is my time, I'll.

  230. I ain't trying to die prematurely.

  231. Don't send someone.

  232. Just look at your Pastor Mike and say, don't send me out too early.

  233. Uh huh, uh oh Pastor.

  234. All this time I thought, now they ain't going to tell you nothing

  235. no more.

  236. I gotta fly man.

  237. Y' all make.

  238. Remaining in Jesus, Amen will turn tears into testimonies.

  239. If I just stay connected, my waiting will turn into a refining.

  240. If I could just stay abiding a little longer, my pain will turn

  241. into purpose.

  242. If I could just stay connected, there will be grace for

  243. my race.

  244. I can't be in your lane because there's no grace for me.

  245. But let me stay in my lane and watch me fly because there's only

  246. grace for my race.

  247. I can't preach like you, I can't sing like you.

  248. And that's okay.

  249. But I got grace for my.

  250. Someone said, man, forgive me for looking at you, let me get back

  251. in my lane.

  252. Jesus said to John, but if you remain in me and my words in you,

  253. you can ask anything.

  254. Someone say anything and it will be given notice what he says.

  255. Anything comes when you learn to abide.

  256. Every time.

  257. I'm going to say that again.

  258. See, we want everything, but we don't Want to abide every time.

  259. We want everything.

  260. Yeah, give me the car, give me the ministry, give me the microphone,

  261. give me the light.

  262. And God said, but you won't give me a minute.

  263. You want me to open up the cocoon only so that you can die prematurely.

  264. I'm going to let you sit in there a little longer until you stop

  265. complaining and start praising.

  266. I'm going to let you stay a little longer until you learn to

  267. give me praise and you stop your complaining.

  268. You know what complaining does, right?

  269. Complain means to remain.

  270. That's why Israel never got out of their mess, because they kept

  271. on complaining.

  272. And complain means to remain.

  273. But praise means that God makes a way.

  274. Why?

  275. Because he inhabits in the praises of his people.

  276. My, my, my.

  277. I want to pitch my tent here, though, in John 15:16, this is where

    John 15:16

  278. we're going to pitch our tent.

  279. You did not choose me, but I, the Lord chose you.

  280. Someone said, when he picks you, he doesn't make a mistake.

  281. He don't make mistakes.

  282. We got to.

  283. Unbelievable.

  284. That's got to be your reality.

  285. Because if that's not your reality, every time he calls you

  286. to something, you're always going to doubt it.

  287. He don't make mistakes.

  288. If he called you to it, that means there is grace for it.

  289. That means that you don't have to rely on your strength anymore.

  290. There is grace to get you to it.

  291. Amen.

  292. My, my.

  293. He says, you did not choose me, but I chose you.

  294. And here it is.

  295. I love the words I was saying this morning.

  296. When you read the verse, you got to know how to read it.

  297. When he says he chose me, I sit there for a minute, I pitch a

  298. tent, and just on that, I don't even go any further until I

  299. understand that, okay, he chose me.

  300. The God of heaven and earth, the Creator of heaven and earth,

  301. the helper of all my Amen.

  302. He chose me.

  303. He chose you when you were broken.

  304. He chose you when you didn't think you were enough.

  305. He said, yeah, it's you that I want.

  306. I'm into broken goods.

  307. He chose you.

  308. And then he said, and I appointed you.

  309. Which means there was a selection.

  310. There was a purpose for him choosing you.

  311. He didn't just choose you to steal oxygen.

  312. He didn't tell you to.

  313. He didn't choose you so you can suck up or steal somebody's chair.

  314. No, there was a purpose.

  315. And there's a reason why you do what you do.

  316. Because you have been assigned to do that.

  317. That's why no one can move you.

  318. That's why?

  319. They can dog you and talk about you, but they cannot move you

  320. because they never put you there.

  321. When God is before you, who can be against you?

  322. If he appointed me, that means you can't move me.

  323. You can talk about me, but you're going to have to sit there

  324. and watch me be blessed.

  325. Come on.

  326. You can join me and we can be blessed together, or you can complain

  327. and remain.

  328. And he says, I appointed you for this reason because there's always

  329. a reason why he appoints us.

  330. Amen.

  331. He doesn't just appoint you, just pick you.

  332. Amen.

  333. He says, so that you may go.

  334. We got to stop there.

  335. Amen.

  336. We got to highlight that.

  337. So where am I going?

  338. Because if I'm going somewhere, then when am I supposed

  339. to be going?

  340. Don't give me direction and just say, you know, hey, just go.

  341. There's no TikTok in here.

  342. Amen.

  343. What are you supposed to do when I'm here?

  344. What people do when they here?

  345. No, no, no, no.

  346. God, he's telling us.

  347. He says that you may go.

  348. I appointed you.

  349. I put you here in New York so that you may go.

  350. I assigned you at a church so that you may go.

  351. So here we go.

  352. Let's talk about it a little bit.

  353. You know, go is a word.

  354. It's an action.

  355. It's moving with purpose.

  356. Amen.

  357. He said, I want you to go.

  358. And here's the thing.

  359. God knows that you were not created to be stagnant.

  360. Can I tell you this?

  361. That stagnant water, we all know it stinks.

  362. It becomes a breeding ground for bacteria and parasites.

  363. When water is not moving, when God says, I want you to bear fruit,

  364. but you got to first learn to abide.

  365. Because when you abide, then you're empowered to go.

  366. When you're empowered to go, then you can grow.

  367. Amen.

  368. He's telling you, don't be stagnant.

  369. Because we know what stagnant does.

  370. It stinks.

  371. And no one wants to be around stinky things.

  372. And the enemy knows that if he can have you focus on the wrong thing,

  373. you'll be like water.

  374. You won't gravitate.

  375. No one will be gravitated to anything that stinks unless they're

  376. stinky, too.

  377. But someone that knows that it smells, they avoid it.

  378. So you only attract what stinks.

  379. And God says, I want you to go.

  380. I chose you.

  381. I appointed you.

  382. I selected you.

  383. There's a purpose now.

  384. I want you to go.

  385. I want you to move with purpose.

  386. And he says this, and I want you to bear Fruit, comma, Fruit that

  387. will last.

  388. Now, see, you look at a comma, but you may not look at it the way

  389. I look at it.

  390. Because comma, means there's an ongoing sentence.

  391. A period means that it stops here.

  392. And he didn't put a period on the first fruit.

  393. If you put a comma, it's because he wants you to understand

  394. this is not where it stops.

  395. I want you to bear fruit, but, comma, I want it to be fruit that

  396. will last.

  397. Fruit that will last.

  398. Then when he said last, then there was a period.

  399. See, he knows that the world will allow you to bear fruit.

  400. But the fruit that the world gives comes with an expiration date.

  401. Come on.

  402. That fruit will spoil at the end of the week.

  403. And sometimes he'll try to trick you long enough to make you

  404. think that you got the right fruit by making it last for a month,

  405. only to discover that in that month, it's going to die.

  406. So in order for me to go, I need to be connected.

  407. Because in order for me to grow, I need to be connected.

  408. Everything has to do with connection.

  409. Pastor Mike is connected to the vine.

  410. In fact, you are the reason you are here.

  411. Because he never stopped being connected.

  412. Amen.

  413. It started in the hood.

  414. Come on.

  415. So don't look at the hood wrong.

  416. Amen.

  417. Good things happen in the hood.

  418. In fact, Jesus came out of the hood.

  419. Y' all didn't want to talk about it, though.

  420. What good could come out of Nazareth?

  421. What good could come out the hood?

  422. Jesus says, peekaboo.

  423. Here I am.

  424. Let's go.

  425. Where you at now?

  426. Where you at now?

  427. Our Savior came out.

  428. See, some of us, if it wasn't for the hood, you wouldn't be as

  429. tough as you are, right?

  430. Come on.

  431. Y' all know what I'm talking about.

  432. You were chosen.

  433. Church.

  434. You were chosen.

  435. You were chosen.

  436. I came to convince somebody that was hanging on a string.

  437. You were chosen.

  438. God.

  439. Abba.

  440. Dad.

  441. I pick you.

  442. To bear fruit that will last.

  443. They're not here by accident, I said earlier.

  444. But God initiated the relationship.

  445. Aren't you glad he initiated it?

  446. Amen.

  447. When fear paralyzed you, he initiated it.

  448. When you didn't think you were enough.

  449. He initiated it.

  450. His relentless pursuit.

  451. I'm here because of his relentless pursuit.

  452. I'm glad he was running after me.

  453. Come on.

  454. It was by his goodness.

  455. Doesn't the Bible say His goodness that caused me to repent?

  456. His goodness.

  457. Man, he was so good.

  458. I couldn't help it no more.

  459. I couldn't turn away from him.

  460. He kept telling me he Loved me.

  461. Okay, I love you back.

  462. I'm ugly, though.

  463. God says I love every piece of it.

  464. I died for it.

  465. I know your background.

  466. I know what you're struggling, and I still pick you.

  467. My, my, my.

  468. This is so good.

  469. It's like this church.

  470. Abraham had to leave his country so that he can gain.

  471. See, first of all, where Abraham had to leave.

  472. He had to leave his country because it was familiar.

  473. And he had to leave what was familiar to gain what was unfamiliar.

  474. What was unfamiliar.

  475. Having children.

  476. The disciples had to leave their net so they can become real

  477. fishermen of men.

  478. There's fruit that God wants you to have, and it's called lasting

  479. fruit.

  480. I said earlier, people around you should not be hungry because

  481. you should be fruitful.

  482. If there's anyone that's hungry, they should want to come

  483. around.

  484. You say every time Joey comes around, every time Pastor Mike come

  485. around, every time Billy or Sally come around, they got fruit

  486. all the time.

  487. Every time they come, I feel better.

  488. No one around you should be hungry because you always have fruit.

  489. You have fruit that don't expire.

  490. Come on, church, you got fruit that don't expire.

  491. Going means this church.

  492. Reaching others with the gospel.

  493. Going means this serving in love.

  494. Going means making disciples.

  495. You know, Can I tell you this?

  496. Disciples don't mean that I get to see you at church once a month

  497. or once a week.

  498. Disciple is doing life.

  499. It's calling each other, man.

  500. My son Julian, he's here today, and, man, does he know how

  501. to.

  502. Man, he just.

  503. Every time I come around him, he got folk around him, and I'm not

  504. like, choo choo, how do you do it, Papi, you got a baby at the house.

  505. And now, mind you, my little evergreen, she's beautiful.

  506. And my little teddy.

  507. But he has a vision.

  508. And people will always come around you because they know that

  509. you got something to eat.

  510. When people come to you and say, man, this happened to me, don't

  511. dismiss them.

  512. They are hungry and they know you have something to give them.

  513. Well, I don't understand why everybody tells me their problems.

  514. That's because you always give them fruit.

  515. When was the last time you heard of someone dying of starvation

  516. locked up in a grocery store?

  517. Right?

  518. I'm being serious.

  519. Right?

  520. My question to you all today, what are you planting that your children,

  521. your church and your community will harvest later when you're long

  522. and gone?

  523. What will your children harvest once you are gone?

  524. I said earlier today, will your community miss you when you

  525. are long and gone?

  526. Will your children say, man, I remember how dad got out of this

  527. circumstance.

  528. I remember him praying, seeking the face of God.

  529. And God showed up and showed out, made a way where there was no

  530. way, man, I'm telling you.

  531. I one time had this neighbor that came to my.

  532. I have parking in front of my house and this man in my neighborhood.

  533. I am the pastor of everybody in that block.

  534. Everyone knows me.

  535. They say, oh, there's Pastor Joe.

  536. Oh, that's Pastor Joe.

  537. Hey, Pastor Joe.

  538. Hey, guys.

  539. How y' all doing, man?

  540. Yeah, I'm their pastor now.

  541. They don't none of them go to church, but they get to see the church.

  542. Come on.

  543. Amen.

  544. And just because they don't go to church yet, don't mean that I

  545. need to stop being the church.

  546. That ain't discouragement.

  547. Amen.

  548. That's what happens in the hood.

  549. You don't get discouraged, man.

  550. You go through some hell in high waters.

  551. Amen.

  552. And one time, I was parking my car and my neighbor comes out.

  553. He knocks on my window.

  554. He says, joey, his wife was named Chris.

  555. Christina, we called her Chris.

  556. And Marty says, jo, come to my house and pray for Chris.

  557. She can't walk.

  558. It's been already a week.

  559. She's going on her second week, she can't walk.

  560. She sits on a sofa and she's hungover and she can't bend back

  561. and she can't get up.

  562. I said, well, yeah, let's go do this.

  563. You can't turn those moments down.

  564. That's fruit.

  565. Someone was hungry.

  566. Someone needed some fruit, and boy, I had it.

  567. I said, let's go, Marty.

  568. And there were elderly people.

  569. So I go in there and sure enough, I see Chris and she's hungover.

  570. And I said, chris, what's going on?

  571. She said, I can't bend up.

  572. I can't stand up.

  573. My back hurts.

  574. And immediately I hear the Lord say, she's going to walk today,

  575. Joe.

  576. But as soon as that word came, the other voice spoke, said, joey,

  577. if you hurt her, you're going to get sued.

  578. Come on now, let's be real.

  579. But she's hungry.

  580. She got fruit.

  581. She wants fruit.

  582. I got to make a decision.

  583. The devil's a liar, so we know we ain't got it.

  584. Amen.

  585. When you get into your word, you know that.

  586. So you know how to counterattack this devil, this dog

  587. face gremlin, right?

  588. I said, okay, you know what?

  589. This is what we're going to do.

  590. Ms.

  591. Chris, I'm going to need you to get up.

  592. She says, what?

  593. I said, I'm going to pray for you, but you're going to have to

  594. get up.

  595. She says, joey, if I get up, I'm not going to be able to stand

  596. up, and it's going to be painful.

  597. I said, that's all right.

  598. We're going to pray.

  599. And when I say praise, when I say amen, I need you to stand up.

  600. I got to praying, praying.

  601. God, you are awesome.

  602. You can do anything by your stripes.

  603. We are healed.

  604. And you said, if I lay hands on the sick, they shall recover.

  605. I'm going in.

  606. I said, okay, Chris, Amen.

  607. She looked at me.

  608. I said, then, marty, over here.

  609. Joe, don't hurt my wife.

  610. Marty, go sit over there.

  611. Marty, go sit over there.

  612. Don't mess with me right now.

  613. I'm focused on.

  614. I don't need no doubt.

  615. I ain't trying to get sued.

  616. I grabbed that lady's arms.

  617. I said, all right, Chris, let's go.

  618. She stood up.

  619. She says, joe, I said, amen.

  620. Now I need you to walk.

  621. Now.

  622. She never walked without her cane.

  623. She forgot she had it that day.

  624. She said, like this.

  625. Look at me, Marty.

  626. I'm walking.

  627. Marty.

  628. Marty.

  629. And Marty still can't.

  630. Chris, look at your cane.

  631. I said, man, throw that cane out the way, man.

  632. Come on.

  633. Come on, Chris.

  634. Come on, man.

  635. I made the call.

  636. I cut my phone.

  637. I said, lethal.

  638. You need to come next door.

  639. What was I doing?

  640. I needed my son to witness this.

  641. Because fruit's got to grow somebody.

  642. Are you hearing what I'm saying?

  643. This is what you do when the devil says, you're going to get soothed.

  644. And this is what you do when God says, the devil is a liar.

  645. Rise up and walk.

  646. I prayed for that woman.

  647. That woman got up, she started moving.

  648. Leto looked at what happened.

  649. She couldn't move for a week or something, Leto.

  650. And God healed her.

  651. He stood in the maze and Marty said, I don't know how he did it,

  652. Lito.

  653. He did it, Lito.

  654. She walking.

  655. Lido neither will never forget that.

  656. He'll never forget that.

  657. But isn't that what Jesus was doing?

  658. Do you know what Jesus did?

  659. Because he's all about fruit, you know, lasting fruit.

  660. I don't know about y' all, but I think about what.

  661. Jesus took a group of people, not just a group, about 5,000 men,

  662. not including the women and children.

  663. He purposely, purposely leads them to a remote place on purpose.

  664. Who leads people to a remote place?

  665. And then, you know, they're going to get hungry.

  666. Who does that?

  667. If it were me back then, my crazy butt, I would have went downtown

  668. and said, you can pick any restaurant you want.

  669. But Jesus is about lasting fruit.

  670. He says, all right, I'm going to show you what the kingdom is all

  671. about.

  672. I got 15 minutes, right?

  673. Amen.

  674. I just want to be respectful.

  675. Yeah, Amen.

  676. Jesus is sitting down and he tells his boys, like I told my boy,

  677. first the disciples come and they say, jesus, the people are hungry.

  678. I think it's that time.

  679. Send them away.

  680. So they go get something to eat.

  681. Because we're in a remote place.

  682. Jesus said, I know we're in a remote place.

  683. I led you here.

  684. Of course we're in a remote place.

  685. It is by purpose and design.

  686. It is the canvas.

  687. I created the atmosphere so that you would see what heaven looks

  688. like.

  689. He says, go and find out if there is any food out there.

  690. Jesus knew there was food.

  691. Why would he tell him that?

  692. Brothers, come over there and chicken nuggets and burgers or whatever,

  693. bring them all over here.

  694. Filet, fish sandwich.

  695. That's where McDonald got it from.

  696. Bunch of cheaters.

  697. They stole that.

  698. Jesus came up with that.

  699. He said, bring them over.

  700. And Jesus, of course, we know the story.

  701. Jesus grabs the food, he blesses it and breaks it.

  702. And he says to the disciples, now go feed.

  703. Go feed.

  704. What was he saying?

  705. The same thing he's still saying today.

  706. You're made of fruit.

  707. You got fruit.

  708. Stop telling Pastor.

  709. Stop telling the neighbors.

  710. People in New York are hungry.

  711. Then feed them.

  712. You got what they need.

  713. You got what they want.

  714. Give them Jesus.

  715. Let them eat.

  716. There's a crowd around you, and they're hungry.

  717. And you have what they need.

  718. I want to share this illustration.

  719. If my son can come up.

  720. Where's my son?

  721. He's probably already making his way here.

  722. There's a story about a Chinese bamboo tree.

  723. When you plant its seed and you water it and you care for it,

  724. and you fertilize the ground for five years, you will not see

  725. nothing on the surface.

  726. A bamboo tree.

  727. There's a seed you put into the ground and you can water it,

  728. but nothing will happen for five years.

  729. Some of us, we give up in a week.

  730. Some of us look at our spouse and say, God will never change them.

  731. And it's only been a month.

  732. But something about this bamboo tree, that when you plant

  733. it for five years, it gives other people an impression that you

  734. are only watering soil.

  735. But they don't know that there is a seed that is breaking ground

  736. in the dark.

  737. So even though you can't see the growth, it's still growing.

  738. When you're telling your friends about Jesus you may not see

  739. the signs of growth yet, but I'm here to remind you that growth

  740. happens in the dark.

  741. Don't stop watering because you can't see nothing.

  742. Don't stop sharing the love.

  743. Don't stop serving in love.

  744. Don't stop doing what God has called you to do because you can't

  745. see nothing.

  746. I'm here to remind you growth happens in the dark.

  747. The thing about this seed, it takes five years to grow a foundation

  748. in order to sustain the weight of what it's about to produce.

  749. Your prayers are so big you forget how much root it has to grow

  750. to sustain that which you're believing God for.

  751. You're complaining, but God says I need the foundation to be

  752. perfect.

  753. Because what you're believing, what you have underneath cannot sustain.

  754. And if I help and let you get out prematurely, you'll only die.

  755. You'll collapse under the weight.

  756. You'll collapse under the pressure.

  757. And God says, I love you too much.

  758. So I'll let you complain and do all that murmuring.

  759. And during all that, you're going to know that I've been there.

  760. I never left you.

  761. I was always there.

  762. I saw your tears.

  763. I was cheering you on.

  764. And you thought that you got to pray.

  765. Point A to point B by yourself.

  766. No, honey, I picked you up.

  767. That was when you were at your lowest.

  768. That's when you just.

  769. You wanted to give in.

  770. But I didn't let you.

  771. Because I kept reminding you through my spirit that dwells on

  772. the inside of you, then reminding you of why you even started

  773. the race, that you're.

  774. I know what I'm doing.

  775. I know that you can't see what you've been promising.

  776. I promised you so.

  777. But it's not ready.

  778. And you need to stop feeling sorry for yourself because everybody

  779. else is doing whatever you're not, whatever I've called you for

  780. greatness.

  781. And greatness needs time.

  782. You're not a microwave gimmick.

  783. You're not yesterday's project.

  784. You're not a five minute meal.

  785. There's lasting fruit in you.

  786. And I need you to stay connected.

  787. I need you to stay connected.

  788. I know it hurts, but stay connected.

  789. It doesn't make sense, but it will soon.

  790. Stay connected.

  791. Stay connected.

  792. Abide.

  793. Dwell with me.

  794. Can you sit at my feet like Mary did?

  795. Like Mary did?

  796. Can you move all the distraction?

  797. Can you look at me?

  798. See, daughter, see, son, I love you.

  799. I haven't forgotten about you.

  800. But I just can't open it and make it easy.

  801. You got so many places to fly to.

  802. There's so many things you need to accomplish, and you need

  803. that strength.

  804. So don't complain.

  805. Don't complain.

  806. I'm working, says the Lord.

  807. I'm working.

  808. I hear the Lord keep telling me, I'm working, baby, I'm working.

  809. It may not look like it.

  810. Something about this bamboo, though.

  811. Let me tell you about this bamboo tree.

  812. On the fifth year, it will sprout up, but it only takes a couple

  813. of weeks to grow up to 90ft.

  814. A couple of weeks.

  815. That's when you know that you've stood and you waited.

  816. See, your waiting is not a waste of time.

  817. It is an important investing time.

  818. God says, I know what I want to do, and it takes time because

  819. I love you too much for you to die prematurely.

  820. You've never seen a mannequin half dressed.

  821. And neither will you see my daughter or son in that manner.

  822. When I put him on the front line, you're going to know that it

  823. was me.

  824. That's why you can never judge anybody's praise or worship because

  825. you don't know their story.

  826. The crazier their praise.

  827. It's probably where God saved them from some crazy stuff.

  828. Just look at your neighbors.

  829. Don't judge my praise if you don't know my story.

  830. Those two right here.

  831. Can you all come to the front?

  832. Yes, you, sir.

  833. Is this your wife?

  834. Yes.

  835. I knew it.

  836. Come to the front.

  837. Just lift up your hands.

  838. I see you.

  839. This is what I hear.

  840. The Lord said, I not only see you, but I chose you.

  841. It's not a mistake.

  842. I don't make mistakes, says the Lord.

  843. When I said I chose you, I chose you.

  844. I'm not fit.

  845. The devil is a liar.

  846. I equip those I appoint.

  847. This is your year.

  848. It has been hard, but God says there's a reason.

  849. There's a reason.

  850. I could have opened up the cocoon a long time ago, but if I

  851. would have did that, I would have did you a disservice.

  852. But God says it's time to fly.

  853. Come on, let's give God a praise.

  854. Come on and give God a praise.

  855. It's time to fly.

  856. Sam.
