  1. This is the ladies day.

  2. We've started us, really started walking through what biblical manhood and biblical womanhood

  3. is.

  4. Through this process we will also be hitting other topics because everything that we'll

  5. be preaching on, every letter doesn't really just deal with just manhood and womanhood,

  6. but this is good for all Christians.

  7. I want us to read 1 Timothy chapter 2.

    1 Timothy 2 chapter mention

  8. So let me get there.

  9. 1 Timothy chapter 2 deals with two particular issues.

    1 Timothy 2 chapter mention

  10. One is the issue of the importance of prayer and especially men praying.

  11. So they'll get a little bit of challenge.

  12. And then we start to really deal with the importance of complementarianism.

  13. So before we get started let's pray.

  14. Father I want to thank you that you are good, you are faithful, you are true.

  15. We thank you that your word is living and active.

  16. Lord that your word is perfect.

  17. We thank you that through divine preservation you have kept your word in translation for

  18. us and that we can fully depend on your word.

  19. And Lord that your word gives, has everything for life and godliness for us.

  20. So Lord we ask that you would be honored and glorified today.

  21. I pray that the full counsel of your word is spoken and taught and that we have prepared

  22. your hearts to rightly divide, prepared our hearts to rightly divide it and that you would

  23. be honored and glorified in every way in Jesus name, amen.

  24. First of all then I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be

  25. made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions.

  26. That we may lead a peaceful and quiet life godly and dignified in every way.

  27. This is good and it is pleasing in the sight of God our savior who desires all people to

  28. be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

  29. For there is one God, there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

  30. who gave himself as a ransom for all which is the testimony given at the proper time.

  31. For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle.

  32. I am telling the truth.

  33. I am not lying.

  34. A teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

  35. I desire then that in every place the men should pray lifting holy hands without anger

  36. or quarreling and likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel

  37. with modesty and self-control not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly attire but

  38. with what is proper for a woman who professes godliness with good works.

  39. That a woman learn quietly with all submission.

  40. I do not permit a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man rather she is to remain

  41. quiet for Adam was born first than Eve and Eve was not deceived but the woman was deceived

  42. and became a transgressor yet she will be saved through childbearing if they continue

  43. in faith and love and holiness and self-control.

  44. What a controversial scripture.

  45. Not controversial to god.

  46. You are like oh pastor you are starting off on a really bad note right now among the women.

  47. Actually when we get through this you are going to be like wow.

  48. Actually that is pretty amazing and that is the point.

  49. This is not god like beating the women over the head like submit.

  50. This is not that.

  51. So before we get started we need to go through verses 1 through 8 and I am going to give

  52. you some clear concise words so that you understand what some of these words mean.

  53. I already taught on this so if you get a chance you can always go to I think it was July 4th

  54. message last year either way.

  55. First thing I want to give you is god commands this is the principle.

  56. God commands all his people to pray especially men to set the example of a dependent and

  57. surrendered life.

  58. Especially men or to set the example of a dependent and surrendered life to god.

  59. Dependent upon god and surrendered holy to him.

  60. Praying at all times in the spirit with all prayer and supplication to that end keep alert

  61. with all perseverance making supplication for all the saints.

  62. Ephesians 6.18 why is it important to pray?

  63. That's another scripture to support what Paul is saying to Timothy.

  64. Rejoice always pray without ceasing.

  65. Give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of god in Christ Jesus for you.

  66. First Thessalonians 5.16-18.

  67. There is a necessity and it's a command.

  68. So what does god say here to Timothy in chapter 2 verse 1-8.

  69. First of all then I urge I call I summon you Timothy that's what he's saying here.

  70. I urge I call I summon that supplications.

  71. Supplications is seeking or asking of needs very important.

  72. Seeking or asking of needs.

  73. So when you are praying are you are you we are summoned to seek and ask of needs very

  74. important.

  75. So when we're looking at supplications we're looking at the issue of seeking and asking

  76. of needs.

  77. Second the third is second is prayers.

  78. Prayer is an address set apart to god.

  79. So when you go before him you are setting apart an address you are having that statement

  80. that you want to share that's set apart to him.

  81. So when we pray Jesus taught the disciples to pray he said teach us to pray.

  82. He says when you pray pray like this our father who is in heaven holy is your name.

  83. That is a that is a particular address that is set apart to god.

  84. He there is a intentionality of expressing the greatness and the glory and the power

  85. and the might to him.

  86. Okay.

  87. That's what it means by prayers.

  88. So when you're when you're giving supplication you're asking and seeking the needs of others

  89. and yourself when you're praying you are giving god what is rightfully his.

  90. Intercessions is the third word here.

  91. Intercessions means falling in with coming together with or agreeing with.

  92. Who are you falling in with coming together with or agreeing with.

  93. You're agreeing with his word.

  94. So if you ever go to a church and you're like I agree with you in Jesus name agree with

  95. what.

  96. Can you tell me what I need to agree with.

  97. Well I agree that you're going to be healed in Jesus name.

  98. Give me a Bible verse.

  99. Give me a Bible verse.

  100. Tell me what am I agreeing with what healing.

  101. So there is an important thing that we need to understand.

  102. We're not agreeing with each other just to agree.

  103. People in government agree all the time but it never there's a lot of times they don't

  104. get things right.

  105. Agreeing with you doesn't mean it's right.

  106. The issue of intercession is I am coming and I'm agreeing according to the word of God

  107. what is best for you and best for others.

  108. It's what God's word says.

  109. I am falling in line with God's word and I am agreeing with with you and with him that

  110. he is right.

  111. That's what this means.

  112. So when you make an intercession you're agreeing on behalf of God and them that God is right.

  113. And then he says and thanksgivings.

  114. Well that's pretty simple.

  115. Give thanks.

  116. So if we are called and summoned to God to seek and ask needs to give God what he's due

  117. to him in our address to him if we are coming together with him and with others agreeing

  118. with his word then you can say give thanks.

  119. A perfect example of that whether Cliff even realized it or not is what Cliff said.

  120. And we can agree that God will be with us in our suffering.

  121. He promises that.

  122. Now that's agreeing with the promise.

  123. Now these things intercessions supplication prayer intercessions and thanksgiving be made

  124. for all people for every people right for kings and all who are in high positions that

  125. we may lead that word lead means live a peaceful this word peaceful is tranquil meaning that

  126. I am I am alone in a quiet place.

  127. I don't have I don't have no worries no distractions.

  128. That is the type of peaceful lives that God is calling us to and quiet.

  129. All right.

  130. Hey hey hey Sue chaos.

  131. Hey Sue chaos meaning immovable in or to hold or to have hold of Christ that in my quiet

  132. I am holding on to Jesus.

  133. When you when you are in a storm Christ is your anchor.

  134. Okay.

  135. This life godly and dignified in every way this this type of life that we should live

  136. should be godly and dignified in every way if we are living according to these truths.

  137. Now here we go.

  138. This is good.

  139. It is excellent precious useful commendable and it is pleasing accepted acceptable and

  140. agreeable in the sight of God our savior.

  141. This is what God wants for you and it is his will for you.

  142. That's what this means.

  143. Who God who desires that all people be saved.

  144. Now here's the kicker who desires to will to resolve to delight or have pleasure that

  145. all this word all interesting enough means individually the whole person meaning me as

  146. the entire me and collectively some of all types that puts a monkey wrench and stuff

  147. because that word collectively means some not everyone of everywhere and all places

  148. but not everyone everywhere in all places.

  149. God desires that some would be saved.

  150. Question is who are the some.

  151. Now that being said let's keep reading this word saved means to be transport into Christ.

  152. This is sozo is the word here save means to transport into Christ not just be saved from

  153. calamity being put into Christ OK and we are put into Christ and to come Eric oh my my

  154. favorite word it sounds so cool Eric my to come to the knowledge or the precise correct

  155. knowledge is the word there in its in the translation of the truth what truth the gospel

  156. truth the truth of God's word there is one truth there is no such thing as I have my

  157. truth you have your truth while your truth is going to kill you because it ain't true.

  158. Isn't that interesting.

  159. So die in your truth.

  160. OK now for there is one God here's the truth one God there is one mediator between God

  161. and man the man Christ Jesus one savior one God one mediator one faith one baptism you

  162. can find that in Ephesians.

  163. OK now who gave himself as a ransom for all same word the whole individual or the ransom

  164. for all of some types which is the testimony this word testimonies gospel given at the

  165. proper time.

  166. In other words Christ came at the proper time at the exact moment he was supposed to come

  167. and he died at the exact moment when he was supposed to die and he resurrected at the

  168. exact exact moment he was supposed to resurrect that was that was be foundationally established

  169. before the foundation of the world.

  170. That was going to happen.

  171. He was crucified before the foundation of the world.

  172. Now for this I was appointed what was he appointed to this word appointed is this idea that he

  173. was called to be a preacher and apostle.

  174. God has personally picked and chosen Paul to be the preacher and the apostle and the

  175. teacher to the Gentiles now this this term given at the proper time I want to give a

  176. clarification this term given at the proper time which is the testimony the gospel given

  177. at the proper time this means belonging to another one's property one's family in due

  178. season.

  179. In other words Christ came and died for his family in due season.

  180. That's what that means.

  181. Now Paul says that he's not lying about any of this he's telling the truth and that he

  182. is a teacher to the Gentiles.

  183. Then he turns around and he says this really interesting statement in verse eight I desire

  184. I have you know and will deliberately have purpose then that in every place every space

  185. marked off is what that means the men right.

  186. This is a near meaning a male the men.

  187. This is not mankind.

  188. This is the men men should pray lifting up or lifting holy hands without anger without

  189. wrath without quarreling without disputing or arguing what is true.

  190. Do we do that?

  191. You notice he before he goes and has a conversation about the women he gives you one responsibility

  192. men let them see you be surrendered.

  193. In other words holy hands is saying God I have nothing to hide.

  194. I'm here before you totally dependent and surrendered to you because you alone are God.

  195. You that's what that means.

  196. Not men of pride.

  197. We talked about this couple weeks ago means to act like a man.

  198. It's okay to be vulnerable in front of your family before the holy God because he already

  199. knows all your junk.

  200. That's what this means.

  201. So I desire that in every way the men should pray lifting up holy hands without anger and

  202. quarreling I want to thank our elder Lanny Lewis because he is a man of God.

  203. He leads people in prayer.

  204. He understands the importance of this.

  205. Pray thank you men when you pray.

  206. That being said Psalm 63 verse 4 says so I will bless you as long as I live and in your

    Psalms 63:4

  207. name I will lift up my hands.

  208. Remember when you lift up holy hands before God you are proclaiming the name of God.

  209. You are I am the source of all life.

  210. You are holy righteous and good.

  211. There is no one like you and no one will ever be you.

  212. You are eternal everlasting.

  213. I need you because without you I am dead.

  214. That's the idea.

  215. Do you get my point why I'm kind of on you men.

  216. Because for men it's the brokenness of pride.

  217. When you lift up holy hands before God you are dependent surrendered vulnerable before

  218. him willingly.

  219. It means you're in control.

  220. And then he goes on and says likewise are you ladies ready.

  221. Here it is.

  222. So as men principle number one principle principle number two really verses three three through

  223. four I mean nine through ten sorry as men are to set the example of a dependent and

  224. surrendered life expressed in lifting holy hands women must also live a dependent and

  225. surrendered life to Christ expressed in modesty.

  226. It's interesting that he's he's not saying that women shouldn't pray.

  227. He's saying that women should express their dependency and surrendered life to the living

  228. God and how they show themselves in the same way a man must lift up holy hands before the

  229. living God.

  230. Women should show their dependency and surrenderedness to him.

  231. Do not let your adorning be external the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry

  232. or the clothing you wear but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with imperishable

  233. beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which in God's sight is very precious.

  234. First Peter three three through four the problem with the women back then is it was literally

  235. a fashion show.

  236. Going to church or gathering together is to show hey look at my hair I got curls and I

  237. got nice little gold jewelry in it see and they'd walk in and it's a game when their

  238. heart is dirty and that's what he's dealing with here.

  239. It's the same issue in Ephesus because the vast majority of the people who were running

  240. the church in Ephesus were women.

  241. The men were too lazy to step up thank God our men are not even though I'm pushing you

  242. to do more and thank you for all the men who showed up this morning.

  243. Great job.

  244. Very proud of you.

  245. That being said first Timothy two nine through ten says this likewise also then women adorn

  246. cosmeo is the word here means to embellish with honor adorn embellish with honor themselves

  247. in respectable cosmeos well arranged seemingly apparel.

  248. In other words if I'm going to adorn myself as a woman God says that you should adorn

  249. yourself in a way that brings honor not only to God but to you and bellies yourself with

  250. honor.

  251. Be able to walk in with your head lifted high showing that you honor and love God and you

  252. want the world to see the godliness of a pure heart.

  253. Now it's interesting that he uses this term respectable meaning well arranged.

  254. In other words even though I'm going to dress in a modest way it's not done in a way that's

  255. just happenstance like you know I'm not going to bring any attention to myself so I just

  256. go in with a pair of jeans and a t-shirt or something like that.

  257. Not saying you can't right.

  258. In other words if I came in with a tuxedo and I was preaching with a tuxedo I would

  259. be out of place that's not modest that's the point right.

  260. You don't come into church when everybody's wearing khakis and casual clothes with your

  261. Louis Vuitton.

  262. That's what that means right that you that you walk in respectable with honor not purpose

  263. purposing to be seen and so he says with modesty I dose I dose or I don't say a sense of shame

  264. out of all in reverence.

  265. Women have you ever thought that modesty is this understanding that I have a sense of

  266. shame out of all in reverence.

  267. What's it mean to have a sense of shame out of all in reverence.

  268. That I out of all in reverence to God have a sense that I am not the most important person

  269. walking in the door.

  270. That's what that means.

  271. As a matter of fact if the husband is doing his job then he is edifying and lifting you

  272. all you need.

  273. That should be enough.

  274. Now the term of self and self control sofras une sofras une means soundness of mind sober

  275. minded or sanity.

  276. Now why would he use this term.

  277. I'm kind of scared right now I'm kind of terrified.

  278. John's like be a man.

  279. What's it mean to be self controlled as a woman.

  280. Why does God even tell the older women to teach the younger women to be self controlled

  281. and temperate.

  282. Why is this the same word.

  283. Why is God saying to you as women be soundness of mind sober minded and sanity.

  284. Because God has created you uniquely to be emotional.

  285. Don't be offended.

  286. It's true.

  287. You're created with emotion.

  288. You're created in a way that you can be vulnerable emotionally.

  289. But sometimes well I'll say many times your emotion dominates you.

  290. It rules you.

  291. Why.

  292. Because of the sinful broken nature.

  293. The very thing that God intended for you to use to be tender and gentle and compassionate

  294. and empathetic and immediately run to the pain and the need of the child or the needs

  295. of your husband.

  296. Sin has corrupted that.

  297. And as a result of that corrupted emotion it gets out of control.

  298. You lose your mind.

  299. You aren't thinking soberly.

  300. You seem like you're not being sane.

  301. That's what the word says here.

  302. And sometimes that self control has a tendency because I am so wanting to be wanted.

  303. I'm so wanting to be recognized.

  304. I'm so wanting to be needed that I need to do something to bring attention to myself.

  305. Why do you think society keeps feeding you the lie that you are broken.

  306. That you need to be like that woman.

  307. Because they are feeding your inability to be self controlled.

  308. And what he says here is not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly attire.

  309. But with what is proper for a woman who professes godliness.

  310. Reverence toward God with good works.

  311. You notice that.

  312. So there's several ways that our emotions have a tendency to dominate and control.

  313. Either it dominates and controls because I'm so worried about me.

  314. I need this procedure.

  315. I need this clothing or I need this because I want to make sure I'm good enough.

  316. And God says you're already good enough.

  317. If you belong to him, that's all you need.

  318. What more do you need?

  319. And so we find our sober mindedness in learning self control.

  320. In learning that in Christ his word can wash me and cleanse me and I can know his promises

  321. are true for me and I am what he says I am as his daughter.

  322. Now the beauty of every girl and woman is a heart committed to complimenting and partnering

  323. for the edification of the family and the church.

  324. I want you to hear that.

  325. The beauty of every girl and woman is a heart committed to complimenting and partnering

  326. for the edification of the family and the church being lived out according to the role

  327. that God has assigned.

  328. Your role is not meaningless.

  329. It is necessary.

  330. Not only for the edification of the family and the church but for the proclamation of

  331. the gospel to the community in which you live.

  332. But let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty

  333. of a gentle and quiet spirit which in God's sight is very precious.

  334. For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves by submitting

  335. to their own husbands, 1 Peter 3, 4 through 5.

  336. And I know as soon as I said that word submitting the air went out of the balloon.

  337. Here we go again.

  338. This is another male chauvinist.

  339. Actually I'm on your side so you're going to be okay.

  340. So here is what he says.

  341. Understanding this, this is very important.

  342. This idea of submission is the power and influence to proclaim to those around you that I am

  343. in God's hands.

  344. I believe him.

  345. And I'll explain where this battle comes from within the heart of the woman in Genesis 3

  346. in a minute.

  347. But look what it says.

  348. Let a woman learn quietly.

  349. Let a woman learn in stillness.

  350. In other words it's not a woman sitting there shutting up.

  351. It's not the term in the understanding of keeping your mouth shut.

  352. It's the term to learn in stillness not a meddler.

  353. Not meaning mind your own business.

  354. Mind your own business.

  355. Isn't that interesting?

  356. Because the woman would go to church and guess what they would do?

  357. Get together and they're in church and the men are like thank you Lord.

  358. I hope.

  359. And they're praying and the women are like do you know what happened the other day?

  360. Girl let me tell you.

  361. And then all of a sudden guess what happens?

  362. Slander gossip.

  363. That's not beautiful.

  364. That's not modest.

  365. But that's what he means here.

  366. The woman should learn quietly.

  367. The woman should learn in the stillness not meddler with each other.

  368. Not getting in each other's business while you're learning.

  369. It's not that women can't ask a question.

  370. It's that women get busy talking about stuff they don't need to be talking about.

  371. During the time it's most important for them to grow.

  372. Isn't that interesting?

  373. I can see that because when they would go to the temple where would the women be?

  374. In the women's court.

  375. Not with the men.

  376. And they'd be talking.

  377. And the pastor would be like hey!

  378. Save that for later.

  379. Matter of fact don't do it at all.

  380. So women should learn quietly with all submissiveness.

  381. This word submissiveness means to arrange oneself act of subjecting.

  382. Notice it says that you need to arrange yourself.

  383. It's not the man's job men to remind your wife to be submissive.

  384. As a matter of fact don't say it at all.

  385. Just shut up.

  386. Because it really makes you look really bad.

  387. And your wife doesn't want to be told to be submissive because it comes off arrogant

  388. and disrespectful.

  389. It's God's job to tell them to be submissive.

  390. Your job is to lead.

  391. Don't tell your wife to say be submissive.

  392. Let God do that.

  393. The preacher do that.

  394. A woman do that.

  395. Tell each other that.

  396. But I'm not going to tell my wife that she needs to be submissive.

  397. One.

  398. My wife's Hispanic.

  399. And art knows what happens when you tell a Hispanic wife to be quiet.

  400. Doesn't work.

  401. I know bro.

  402. And if you're Italian you also know.

  403. German.

  404. Pennsylvania Dutch.

  405. No it's everybody.

  406. So when we go and we say you as a woman should arrange yourself and put yourself in the act

  407. of subjection.

  408. I am willing to come before you in humility.

  409. I'm willing to bend the knee.

  410. Not worship.

  411. In other words I'm willing not to have my way.

  412. I'm willing to trust God in you.

  413. And what you're really saying is God I trust you.

  414. That's what submissiveness means here.

  415. If you're not submissive you don't really trust God.

  416. Now this does not mean that if your husband is beating you that you should be submissive.

  417. That's not what this means.

  418. If your husband is being verbally abusive physically abusive emotionally abusive or

  419. spiritually abusive that does not mean that you submit to that trash.

  420. That's not submissive.

  421. That's that's dumb.

  422. Just being honest that's not smart.

  423. Right.

  424. When you give yourself over to being beaten.

  425. That's not a good thing.

  426. That's common sense.

  427. Right.

  428. But that's hard sometimes when you're under that type of abuse.

  429. It's difficult.

  430. But that's where God has given you others that can come alongside you and help gird

  431. you strengthen you strengthen your knees get you out.

  432. There is always a way out.

  433. But that's not submissiveness.

  434. Submissiveness is the willingness to trust God that what he says is true because God

  435. has my man.

  436. Notice he also says in verse 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority

  437. over a man.

  438. The word here is to teach a man or have dominion over a man.

  439. Rather she is to remain quiet.

  440. She needs to remain a woman who is being submissive to God.

  441. I mean it's the same word quietness stillness not a meddler minding your own business.

  442. Women are not to teach nor exercise dominion over men but be quiet stillness not a meddler

  443. minding your own business.

  444. But why does God use this terminology here.

  445. Well if you go to Genesis let me show you what Paul's talking about here.

  446. Genesis chapter 3 you can turn there.

    Genesis 3 chapter mention

  447. Kids are having fun downstairs.

  448. Let's go.

  449. High energy.

  450. So here's what happens.

  451. Genesis 3.

  452. Now I want you to pay attention to something here.

  453. Now the serpent was more crafty than the other beasts of the field that the Lord God had

  454. made.

  455. He said to the woman did God actually say you shall not eat of any tree in the garden

  456. the woman said to the serpent we may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden but God

  457. said you shall not eat of the fruit of the trees that is in the midst of the garden nor

  458. shall you touch it lest you die.

  459. What was problem number one.

  460. She wasn't minding her own business.

  461. Did she have business talking to that creature.

  462. Especially when the creature came to her and said did God really say that.

  463. Now you see why God says concerning the woman.

  464. We got to fix this.

  465. Okay.

  466. Now let's keep reading.

  467. But God said you shall not eat the tree in the midst of the garden.

  468. Shall you touch it lest you die.

  469. He didn't say if you touch it.

  470. He said if you eat it.

  471. But the serpent said to the woman you will not surely die for God knows that when you

  472. eat of it your eyes will be open and you will be like God knowing good and evil.

  473. So the when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that was a delight to the

  474. eyes and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise she took its fruit and ate and

  475. she also gave some to her husband who was with her and he ate.

  476. Here's what it means.

  477. Back to Timothy verse 11 through 12.

  478. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over man rather she is to remain

  479. quiet why.

  480. Because she was not minding her business.

  481. And as a result of her not minding her business something happened.

  482. And as a result of her not being willing to go to her husband and say yeah this serpent

  483. talking to me and he's saying I can eat.

  484. What do you say.

  485. You ever notice that's not even mentioned there either.

  486. Because what ends up happening in many cases is you'll have a preacher go the man should

  487. have stopped her.

  488. First of all she is bone in my bone flesh in my flesh.

  489. She knows me.

  490. I don't know her everything I know she knows or does she.

  491. She's intelligent.

  492. She's intelligent enough to have a conversation.

  493. She's intelligent enough to say God said I shouldn't touch it.

  494. Come on women aren't stupid.

  495. Some of the most most intelligent creatures on the planet are women regardless of what

  496. you think about Steve Jobs.

  497. When a woman can run a house take care of eight kids.

  498. Okay that's intelligence.

  499. I'm not going to play the game with this.

  500. I'm just being honest what was her problem.

  501. She didn't submit.

  502. She didn't arrange herself willingly under her husband say hey this isn't supposed to

  503. be happening is it.

  504. And where did he where did he fail.

  505. He didn't open his mouth.

  506. They're both wrong and we're going to see that in a minute.

  507. Why are women commanded by God to be still not meddling willingly place themselves in

  508. the role assigned not to teach nor have dominion over a man.

  509. Why is God saying this.

  510. Women are designed to compliment and partner with their husband not to be independent but

  511. to be with them.

  512. She was independent.

  513. That's the problem here.

  514. You aren't created to be by yourself.

  515. I wasn't created to be by myself if I was created to be by myself.

  516. Why would God say in chapter two the Lord said it is not good that man should be alone.

  517. I will make him a helper fit for him.

  518. We aren't meant to be independent.

  519. We are meant to be dependent together upon him together.

  520. That's the point.

  521. You aren't meant to live life alone.

  522. Now then the Lord God said it is not good that man should be alone but I will make him

  523. a helper.

  524. The word helper is one who will work with partner compliment.

  525. This word fit is interesting.

  526. This word fit means one who is before me in my face.

  527. Trust me I do something stupid.

  528. My wife is in my face.

  529. No I'm not kidding.

  530. That's good.

  531. That's so good.

  532. First Timothy 2 13-15 this is what it says for Adam was formed first then Eve.

  533. So the first reason why women are to be subjected to their husbands is because it's the order

  534. of things.

  535. God did it that way.

  536. You don't have to like it.

  537. He doesn't care if you don't like it.

  538. He says this is the way it is.

  539. So if you know it's the way it is and this is the way God says it's going to be when

  540. you fight against God you're fighting against the gold.

  541. So all of this feminine stuff has taken away your influence and power.

  542. To be independent makes you weak as women.

  543. You want strength?

  544. Partner compliment your husband.

  545. Now don't worry we're going to get into the marriage stuff eventually and then men get

  546. really wrecked.

  547. This is exciting.

  548. So for Adam was formed first then Eve this is the order of things.

  549. God has set things in an order and Adam was not deceived but the woman was deceived.

  550. Why?

  551. Because she was meddling.

  552. She couldn't mind her own business.

  553. That's what it means.

  554. The word deceived here means to deceive or beguile with a thing.

  555. He gave it he was like yo check this out.

  556. Now think about this ladies.

  557. He stuck a fruit in front of your face.

  558. Not you personally but Eve's face and said you can be just like God.

  559. Man it looks good.

  560. Oh boy.

  561. And then God is everything you ever need in life and the source of all living.

  562. Like this is going to give you something that God can't.

  563. That's what meddling does.

  564. That's what not minding your own business means.

  565. You're too wrapped up with everything else around the world.

  566. Now here we go.

  567. Adam was not deceived but the woman was deceived.

  568. She was beguiled and became a transgressor the scripture says.

  569. This word transgressor means to go over to disregard the wrongdoing even out of ignorance.

  570. She did wrong even when she was ignorant.

  571. So in other words there is no excuse.

  572. She disregarded what God said and she disregarded her husband who was with her.

  573. Regardless of his weakness yet she will be saved.

  574. Now what's interesting about this is some pastors skip over this and I'm not going to

  575. do it.

  576. So this isn't about you're going to you're going to go to heaven because you're having

  577. babies.

  578. So you want to have babies go for it.

  579. But that's not going to get you to heaven any faster.

  580. Okay.

  581. That's not what this means.

  582. What this means in the word save means to be well and behold yet she will be well.

  583. She will be whole as a mother.

  584. A woman finds her identity and being and how God created her to be a mother procreate.

  585. You are given a gift that no man will ever experience.

  586. You birth life.

  587. You're a life giver.

  588. That's what this means.

  589. That you will be well.

  590. You will be whole as a life giver.

  591. And here's the other thing I want you to understand.

  592. Do you know that you're complimenting your partnering with God and birthing life because

  593. you're giving the opportunity for godly offspring.

  594. That's one of the commands.

  595. God wants godly offspring.

  596. The scripture says now and not only are you going to be whole as a mother because that

  597. has that is why God created you in the role that you play.

  598. But you should also continue cleave hold fast.

  599. Do not depart from faith from love from holiness from with self control with the understanding

  600. that I am not going to give my mind and my affection and my heart to anything else but

  601. God and that which he's given me.

  602. That's the role that you play.

  603. Do you see the power you have as a woman?

  604. Forget the feminist movement.

  605. They are taking your power and influence away.

  606. This is not about you becoming an independent woman.

  607. This is about you becoming the one that God created you to be and the role you should

  608. play and you wonder why women are suffering in our country because they've been lied

  609. to by deceivers by devils.

  610. So let me say it this way.

  611. She will be well and whole as a mother a woman of faith a woman of love a woman of holiness

  612. and a woman of a sound mind.

  613. If she continues in the role and purpose that God created her to be.

  614. So here's the consequence because Eve did not do this.

  615. He says to the woman chapter three of Genesis he says to the woman 316 to the woman he said

  616. I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing in pain you shall bring forth children.

  617. There it is.

  618. She will be whole in childbearing.

  619. Your pain in childbearing is a reminder not to walk away from God again.

  620. Every time you have a baby and that pain is there.

  621. It's a reminder you did not choose me but I chose you.

  622. Why would he give us pain during childbearing to teach you.

  623. He is your identity.

  624. He is the source of your life.

  625. And then he says this your desire shall be contrary to your husband but he shall rule

  626. over you.

  627. Your desire is to have dominion over your husband.

  628. But he will rule you.

  629. In other words in your house if you cannot compliment your husband if you can't partner

  630. with your husband if your husband can't edify and lift you up and partner with you guess

  631. what's always there all the time.

  632. Conflict day after day.

  633. Day after day there's a fight and an argument over something stupid.

  634. Why because I am my own woman and the man says no I rule the house.

  635. No this is my castle.

  636. Yeah you're right.

  637. But I rule the house.

  638. And what happens he sits on his couch and he's this waits.

  639. How do I know because I do that.

  640. Even pastor and and my wife we we have debates.

  641. I'm not I'm not I'm not sure of the curse.

  642. I live in the curse every day.

  643. It's the same idea that sin desires to have you but you must master it.

  644. Sin wants to control you.

  645. That's what this means.

  646. But if I willingly submit if you willingly submit to God and the role and the purpose

  647. he has for you as a woman and you embrace the beauty of the godliness of the feminine

  648. woman you will experience the amazing blessings that God has for you because you are living

  649. out the purpose by which God created you.

  650. Father I want to thank you to you be honor and glory power and might.

  651. I praise you and I praise you that in your wisdom you have birthed the family and that

  652. you have allowed even in our brokenness the depth of the truth to be filled in our lives

  653. that if we if we play the role in part that you have assigned to us to play if we do what

  654. you've commanded us to do that you will be high enough lifted up glorified that the gospel

  655. would be proclaimed by the family by which the family of God comes together and proclaims

  656. the gospel to the communities to the world.

  657. Lord we praise you and we thank you.

  658. Help us as a church to be submissive to willingly place ourselves in subjection to you because

  659. it's your purpose and your role for us and that we would be obedient in those things

  660. to you be honor and glory power and might forever.

  661. In Jesus name.

  662. Amen.
