  1. In the name of the glorious Trinity, Father and Son and Holy

  2. Spirit, forever Amen. Glory be to the everlasting

  3. mercies which sent you to us, O Christ, the Light of the world

  4. and the life of all. Give us wisdom by your law and

  5. enlighten our impulses by Your knowledge.

  6. Sanctify our souls by Your truth and grant that we may be

  7. obedient to Your words and may fulfil Your commandments at

  8. every hour. O You who enlightens the

  9. rational with the knowledge of Your greatness, do enlight, O my

  10. Lord, our thoughts, that we may meditate upon Your holy and

  11. divine Scriptures at all times. O Lord of all, Father and Son

  12. and Holy Spirit, forever. Episode we left off left off at

  13. verse 21 of Romans chapter 3, but now the righteousness of God

    Romans 3 chapter mention

  14. without the law. That means there was nothing

  15. that you physically needed to do or they needed to do is going

  16. talking about the Jews and the Gentiles righteousness of God

  17. without the law is manifested or you know back then was

  18. manifested and is every day and and the very law and prophets

  19. testified to it. So he's he was talking about

  20. righteousness justification made right righteousness made right

  21. without the law the righteousness of God that we

  22. received and he's going to continue to say who we received

  23. it from was apart from the law. Now, the law, meaning which law,

  24. not what we do today, you know, people say, oh, you know,

  25. there's no justification through the law.

  26. So the laws you have today. No, no, we got to get it right.

  27. We have the law of the flesh and we have the law of the Spirit.

  28. We have the covenant of the flesh.

  29. We have the covenant of the Spirit.

  30. We have the old covenant. We have the new covenant,

  31. leaving aside the new and the Spirit, the law of the Spirit.

  32. Paul is talking about the past BCBC, the law of the old, the

  33. Old Testament law. So the grace of God through his

  34. Son, the Christ he's going to talk about was already foretold

  35. by the prophets that God will make things right through his

  36. Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through his Son, no one

  37. else through his Son. And all we need to do is what

  38. all they need needed to do, all that was required by them.

  39. And today Paul is going to continue verse 22.

  40. But the righteousness of God is here.

  41. It is by the faith of Jesus Christ to everyone, also to

  42. every man who believes in him. For there is no discrimination.

  43. Now when it says by faith of Jesus Christ, yes, the faith

  44. that Jesus brought our faith in him being obedient to the faith

  45. of Jesus Christ, meaning believing in Jesus Christ.

  46. And it states that it is to all, beloved, the Jews and Gentiles

  47. who are under the law, the Gentiles who are in paganism,

  48. all under the power of the slavery of sin, which Paul was

  49. talking about. We were all under sin.

  50. Now he's going to say we have sin.

  51. So all those who are under sin, all who are unrighteous, not

  52. right, all that was out of whack, caused by sin, the

  53. disarray that man was in because of disobedient and sin,

  54. everything was made right. You know, justification, Steven,

  55. when we justify, you know, those icons on the, you know, you got

  56. the middle justification, the right justifying means to make

  57. it right. Yeah, to put it, to set it as

  58. you want it to to be, if it's all, if your documents all all

  59. over the place, you're going to justify to make it right.

  60. And this is what God did through his Son.

  61. He made things right. And we're going to continue to

  62. read how he made things right and what he made right, made

  63. right by making it in bringing order into a dance.

  64. Saint Paul says our God is a God of order.

  65. There was chaos. There wasn't any order in

  66. mankind. Men were doing what they

  67. pleased, changing their gender. You know, we read in Romans

    Romans 1 chapter mention

  68. chapter 1, male becoming a female, changing genders.

  69. You know, transvestites and what have you.

  70. Adultery, fornication, idolatry, it was in disarray, it was a

  71. chaos. God came and made it right

  72. through his Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

  73. And all that was required was faith.

  74. And all that is required today is also faith to the Christians

  75. who have the new law of the Spirit, the new covenant, who

  76. have left the new law, who have diminished in faith in Jesus

  77. Christ. All you need to do is believe.

  78. Now what do you need to believe in?

  79. Not in Jesus Christ. You believed, you were baptized,

  80. you received the Holy Spirit, you were put to death with

  81. Christ, and you were raised. Believe in what?

  82. Believe that the Lord is waiting for you, just as the prodigal

  83. son who returned to the Father, the God that ran out and that

  84. was God. So believe that God will take

  85. you back, will reinstate you, just as he did with Saint Peter

  86. the Rock. Just believe that God is waiting

  87. for you. God will not turn you away.

  88. When you turn to God. When we turn to God, God will

  89. not turn you away. He will receive you.

  90. But when we turn to God with admission of guilt, A contrite

  91. spirit in remorse, and say, Lord Jesus, Son of God, have mercy on

  92. me, a Sinner, that's what you need to do.

  93. Then you will come back to the House of God, to the church, and

  94. the church will place the ring on you, give you that author,

  95. reinstate the authority of sonship that you have because

  96. you were adopted by God. And these are all from the

  97. Scriptures. I may not be quoting verses.

  98. You go Google adoption of sons and you'll find Saint Paul

  99. talking about that the the church will one more time clothe

  100. you with the grace of God, with the comfort of God, the

  101. acceptance of God. And the church will slaughter

  102. the fattened calf, which is the Holy Eucharist.

  103. And the Church will say to the entire church, let us enjoy

  104. ourselves. For this brother or this sister

  105. was lost and now is found, was dead and now is alive.

  106. That's what you need to do. O Christian who's walked away

  107. from faith, come back, Believe that the Lord will receive you,

  108. and don't let Satan through his demons, be it a friend, a

  109. father, a mother, a brother, a priest, whoever tell you

  110. otherwise. If they do, you rebuke Satan in

  111. the name of Jesus Christ, and you return back to God and he

  112. will come out and embrace you. He will actually kiss you.

  113. That's what the father did. The father started kissing the

  114. prodigal son. But to a Muslim, Jewish,

  115. atheist, Gnostics, Jehovah's Witness, Mormon friends who are

  116. still under the slavery of sin, to the entire world that hasn't

  117. believed and accepted Jesus Christ, to the kings, to the

  118. presidents, to the prime ministers, to the premiers, to

  119. the governors who do not know Jesus Christ and use his name

  120. for political gain, that is blasphemy.

  121. That sin will not be forgiven when you stand before the Lord.

  122. No, no, no, it's time for you to come back, receive Jesus Christ

  123. as your Lord and your Savior and your King.

  124. We're going to celebrate this in a week's time.

  125. The King of kings will be born with well is born.

  126. We celebrate the birth of the King of Kings to the entire

  127. world believe and to those who are in faith, continue

  128. believing, continue in faith. There is something that comes

  129. from us. So faith is not just something

  130. that is just comes in you. You're not poured with faith

  131. like a, a glass of water, you know, water poured in a glass of

  132. water. No, look what Saint John

  133. Chrysostom writes. And again, I'm going to praise

  134. God for the Church Fathers whom the Spirit moved, who were their

  135. 4th century, 3rd century, whom today we preach their teachings.

  136. We don't need to reinvent the will.

  137. Don't reinvent the will. Don't come up with all these

  138. interpretations that are sometimes ridiculous.

  139. Don't do that based on one word and one verse, where again, in

  140. that chapter there are 22 verses, not just one verse.

  141. No, no, no, you don't need to do that.

  142. You know, You know, if we are in that predicament, repent from

  143. that. Come back, come back to the

  144. faith that was given by Christ once given to the Saints as

  145. Saint Paul writes to the Church, given to the Church through the

  146. apostles. Look at what Saint John

  147. Chrysostom writes in order to stop anyone from asking how can

  148. we be saved without contributing anything at all to our

  149. salvation? Saint Paul shows that in fact,

  150. we do contribute a great deal towards it.

  151. We supply our faith. We supply our faith through free

  152. will. Faith in who to be made

  153. righteous, to remain in righteousness, to be made right

  154. in the eye of God, to be justified.

  155. Faith in who? Moses, Isaiah Saints Peter and

  156. Paul, The Blessed Virgin Mother Mary, Mother of our Christ Our

  157. God Saints Thaddeus Ade Saint George, St.

  158. Zaya St. Narsai Muhammad, Buddha, Brahma,

  159. Vishnu, Krishna, Rama, Shiva, Shakti, Durga, Kali, Israel

  160. Hindu Gods No, no, no, no no. La La 99 Faith in whom?

  161. In the one whom not only Saint Paul states, but God himself,

  162. Faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ only don't compromise.

  163. Don't you dare, O believer of Jesus Christ, who have claimed

  164. his blood upon them and who have claimed to have been to have

  165. been buried with him through baptism, don't you dare

  166. compromise the Lord Jesus Christ.

  167. Don't do it. If you are doing it, stop, pull

  168. to one side, stop your vacuuming, stop your washing

  169. dishes, get on your knees and say, Oh Jesus, Lord Jesus, Son

  170. of God, have mercy on me, for I have sinned.

  171. No, because to no person in the history of the world to date and

  172. in the future has God the Father spoken from heaven and has

  173. claimed and said and has put it right.

  174. This is my beloved Son. At his baptism where the Holy

  175. Trinity was revealed, the Father spoke.

  176. The Son was being baptized, coming out of the waters and the

  177. Holy Spirit descending and, and and being and staying on him.

  178. He said, this is my beloved son. And then this son that we saw

  179. with one tunic, with sandals, humble, being ridiculed, being

  180. mocked, his life in danger while he was in his mother's womb.

  181. And we thought, how can this be the Saviour, as did the Jews?

  182. This is the Saviour talking about love and forgiving and,

  183. you know, striking your cheek and turning to the other.

  184. He took them up to the mountain, Simon, John and James, and he

  185. transfigured. He showed his divinity that I'm

  186. not just a mere man, no, I am perfect man.

  187. And there again God the Father speaks and this time he says,

  188. this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well.

  189. Please listen to Him, no one else, not those names, those

  190. idle, empty, useless names that I just mentioned.

  191. No, listen to his Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

  192. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, faith in the Son of God,

  193. the Son of God by nature, not by grace, not because he was

  194. baptized. He was then adopted as God's

  195. Son, as we do in baptism. No, no, we are adopted by grace

  196. in through baptism be the children of God, our faith in

  197. Jesus Christ first and foremost, and our baptism.

  198. Galatians 3 chapter 2627. No, no, Jesus Christ by nature,

  199. that means He is God. Verse 23 For all have sinned and

  200. are short of the glory of God, for they are freely given

  201. righteousness, freely given righteousness by the grace of

  202. God through the salvation which is in Jesus Christ faith for

  203. all, all have sinned. Jews from among whom salvation

  204. first arose. Also the Gentiles in the Litany

  205. of the Holy Feasts, the seven holy feasts which we celebrate

  206. in the Church. One of them is coming up in a

  207. week's time. The Deacon, the diaconate

  208. litany, Karozouta. Let us all stand up as it is,

  209. right as it is befitting. Withdrawing rejoices.

  210. Let us beseech and say, our Lord have mercy upon us, mercy upon

  211. us, the Deacon proclaims. O Savior of all, especially

  212. those who believe in him, we beseech you, salvation is for

  213. every person, past, present, future, every person.

  214. Salvation has come for the world, but salvation is

  215. specified, and especially for those who believe in who the

  216. Savior of the world, which is Jesus Christ, praise and glory

  217. to be to His name, Right Armin type Armin, honk your horn.

  218. Why 'cause God so loved the world.

  219. That's why the world, not God, so loved the Assyrians, not God

  220. so loved the the different tribes of Assyria or Judea or

  221. Italia or Greece or Russia. No, no, no, no, for God so loved

  222. the world that He gave up His begotten, only begotten Son.

  223. We will be celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  224. Do one give one gift to a person that does not have the gift of

  225. God, the Son of God, your neighbor, your friend, whoever,

  226. humbly, gently, with a smile on your face, tell them about Jesus

  227. Christ. Tell them that it's only Jesus

  228. who saves. Tell them that Jesus is alive.

  229. Tell them that all they need to do is believe that Jesus is the

  230. Son of God, is the Savior of the war world, is the the see the

  231. the the article definite article.

  232. The Son of God. There's only one the Savior of

  233. the world is only one the Lord, there's only one.

  234. Tell them give them this great gift and just walk away.

  235. Look what you don't need to go with your Bible and open to

  236. chapter Isaiah verse 7 and Isaiah 53, Isaiah 9 and

  237. Ephesians 2. You don't need to do that.

  238. That's that's showing off. You just want to show that you

  239. know the Scriptures don't do that.

  240. God knows the intent. Just give them that that simple

  241. message. Those who have not believed

  242. Jesus Christ, and then when they ask you why, that's the time to

  243. start expanding on what you have just said, praying that the Holy

  244. Spirit will lead and will speak through you believe.

  245. Tell them to believe. All have sinned, beloved, not

  246. only under slavery, as Paul says, we were all under sin.

  247. Now he's saying that they have all sinned.

  248. They were under the slavery of sin, the power of sin, but they

  249. have now sinned, that is conceded to sin, committed sin,

  250. and fallen short of the glory of God, fallen short of the

  251. righteousness. You weren't right because when

  252. you were in sin, you're not right.

  253. If you are sinning, you're not right.

  254. You're in, You're not in the holiness of God.

  255. What do I need to do? Come back to this God that you

  256. left because you believed in Him.

  257. You just walked away and those who haven't bring them to God

  258. through Jesus Christ, not Allah, not all those other names that I

  259. mentioned through Jesus Christ come back to the holiness of God

  260. and Christ has done God has done everything through his Son

  261. redeemed us. We've been redeemed by Christ.

  262. Now, in some versions, the word propitiation propitiation is is

  263. is mentioned and and there's an understanding in the Western,

  264. you know, theology that God was so angry that to appease him,

  265. there had to be blood sacrifice. You know, like the Pagan gods.

  266. That's how they appease their Pagan gods.

  267. What was that that movie Apocalypt apocalyptic.

  268. There was a film where the, where this this actor, his wife

  269. was pregnant and then he had to put her in a in a hole.

  270. And he was, he had to go in these games and they were

  271. shooting at him. And in in any case, they take

  272. him up to to sacrifice them to their God.

  273. And their heads were rolling. And yeah, he was gooey.

  274. He was gooey, OK. And there was blood sacrifices

  275. like Pagan gods, gods. Now, God is not like that.

  276. A God is not a Pagan God. A God is not our God is not one

  277. that likes to see bloodshed like splash in the Old Testament.

  278. That was different in the Old Testament, in the, the, the,

  279. the, the, the old covenant God was, it was all a, a, a

  280. prototype, a, a, a, a shadow of what Christ was going to do once

  281. and only once on the cross. You know, they say God's anger

  282. had to be appeased with a sacrifice, a blood sacrifice, as

  283. I said, like the Pagan of God. Hence some say we see God's

  284. wrath on the cross. No, we see God's love on the

  285. cross. We see God's victory on the

  286. cross. We see God's deal for dealing,

  287. taking care of sin and Satan and death on the cross.

  288. Why for God so love the world? John 316 not God was so angry at

  289. the world. He was fuming at the world.

  290. He had to see blood shedding and heads rolling and what have you.

  291. No, no, no. We may have angered him at

  292. times, and his anger is a righteous anger, you know.

  293. Let me take you back when mom used to say I'm laughing, but

  294. it's a, an anger laughter. I'm I'm laughing because I'm

  295. angry, right? Because I'm frustrated at you.

  296. It was one of those types, but a righteous anger because mom

  297. would still beat you up, right? You know, when you were at your

  298. friend's house or visiting people and you played up a

  299. little bit and then mom gave you that that look that not only

  300. could kill but judged you to hell at times.

  301. And then when you got home, you think it was all over.

  302. She's forgotten because during the the car trip, you know,

  303. we're all singing. And then when you walk into the

  304. house and then smack comes one behind the back and mum would

  305. say, you thought I forgot, right?

  306. No, not that type of anger, but a righteous, loving anger.

  307. We may anger him, yet it is through His love that He gave

  308. His begotten Son to be the ultimate sacrifice.

  309. In Psalm 51 we read that God is not pleased, is not appeased

  310. with burnt sacrifices. But what a broken spirit, a

  311. broken and contrite heart. Themes are what God does not

  312. despise and this is what Jesus had a Reed, you know like this

  313. the sheep taken to slaughter. He did not his album, his mouth.

  314. He didn't cry out in the in the you know, marketplaces humble

  315. and hence God and he was righteous and unblemish.

  316. He was pure his blood is was is continues being pure beloved.

  317. That's why we partake in the Holy Eucharist, the cup, and I

  318. mentioned this last episode, the cup that we bless is real

  319. appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ, all right, because he

  320. was humble, God was appeased. And what he means here by God

  321. demonstrating his just justice is God showing His

  322. righteousness. It is like declaring he's rich

  323. not only for him to be rich himself in righteousness, but he

  324. revealed, he demonstrated it so that we could be like him.

  325. Hence St. Paul says, imitate Christ,

  326. imitate me, for I imitate Christ.

  327. When we imitate Christ, we are righteous.

  328. When we live a Christian life, we are right in the eye of God.

  329. And again, if we fall away, if we walk away, if we step away

  330. from the path, if we sin, if we fall, we come back and believe

  331. that the Lord is waiting for you until he returns the second time

  332. from heaven. But let's not doubt and let's

  333. not forget that righteousness is not The righteousness of God is

  334. through 1 deed that we need to do 1 contribution and that is

  335. faith. And then from that point

  336. onwards, our faith extends to the good deeds that were for

  337. ordained in the beginning before the world, as Saint Paul writes

  338. in Ephesians chapter 2, verse 10, those good deeds that were

    Ephesians 2:10

  339. ordained, preordained, that was set for us and we continue so

  340. that through those we remain in faith.

  341. You know, when you pray, you're increasing in faith.

  342. When you read the Holy Scriptures, you're increasing in

  343. faith. When you come to church, you

  344. attend church, you fellowship, you worship with your Christian

  345. brothers and sisters, you are increasing in faith When you do

  346. a good deed because Christ has commanded you do it for Jesus

  347. Christ. When you visit the sick, you do

  348. it for Jesus Christ. When you feed the hungry, you do

  349. it for you're doing it for, you're feeding Christ.

  350. That's what he said. Because when you do for these

  351. one of these little ones, you do for me.

  352. When I go to a hospital and I go to pray on as a priest to pray

  353. on the patient, I see two Christs there.

  354. According to the Scriptures, Christ is in bed and Christ is

  355. standing above the person that is in bed and praying.

  356. Because the priest is the icon of Christ, right?

  357. And the, and the, the person that is sick in hospital is

  358. Christ is an icon of Christ. That's what he said.

  359. You do it for me, metaphorically speaking.

  360. Then you see that when you do all these, when you come to

  361. church, when you confess your sins, when you worship, you sing

  362. songs of praise with your fellow Christian brothers and sisters,

  363. and you worship and you praise and you confess and you admit

  364. and you repent and you're absolved by the church and you

  365. partake. See, this is the this is the

  366. end. This is where it concludes it.

  367. Without this, it's, it's, it's, it's void, it's missing, it's

  368. flawed, beloved, it's flawed without partaking in the Holy

  369. Eucharist, the mysteries, the body and blood of our Lord Jesus

  370. Christ, you grow in faith. Because again, let's go back to

  371. the prodigal of the, the parable of the prodigal son when he

  372. returns. Yes, the ring came out, then

  373. the, the, the, the garment came out and then the shoes came out.

  374. And what was the last thing that the Father command and his

  375. servants bring the fattened calf so that we can rejoice, partake,

  376. make merry. We make merry when we come to

  377. the Holy mysteries and the holy Sacraments and partaking in

  378. those in faith, In faith. If you don't believe, if you're

  379. there because your Nana told you, if you're there because Dad

  380. has pulled you out of bed and, and set you there and you don't

  381. want to be there and you have to do it right now.

  382. If you're under 18, yes, great. That's a way to teach you.

  383. But if you're you're 18 and over and you're a grown and you're

  384. there just because, because your friend's baptizing his child,

  385. you never enter the Church of God, but you're there for

  386. baptism because your friend, your best friend, your BFF is

  387. baptizing a child and you're just there for that.

  388. But you don't believe that you're going to be in the

  389. presence of God, his holy angels, the apostles, the

  390. prophets. That's what we read.

  391. If you don't believe in that, well, I pray that the Lord will

  392. instill the faith in you. I pray that maybe that that

  393. attendance will move you somehow.

  394. You will hear a word from the gospels or the readings or the

  395. preaching or the OR the hymnology that you will be moved

  396. to, to a point where you start coming to church in faith,

  397. believing in Jesus Christ and knowing that Christ is amongst

  398. us when we come together. These are all these are all the

  399. deeds that we need to possess and we need to continue to live

  400. in. But again, as I've always said,

  401. when we are made righteousness, first thing we do, we believe in

  402. that righteousness is through Jesus Christ.

  403. I believe, Lord, make me write so that I can continue.

  404. And when we do enter the Kingdom of heaven, notice from verse one

  405. to verse chapter 1 to chapter 3 in Romans, St.

  406. Paul hasn't mentioned the Kingdom of heaven, eternal life.

  407. He hasn't mentioned that he's talking about BC.

  408. Now he's going to continue and then he will speak about that.

  409. All right, So you know we remain, we continue.

  410. So that when the Lord returns and He out of His grace, mercy,

  411. compassion and righteousness declares us to be worthy of the

  412. eternal Kingdom, that's when we proclaim loudly and say, not I

  413. Lord, but through your grace only.

  414. Not to me be glory, not to me be be praise and honor.

  415. No, no, no, but to you alone, Christ, for all of this.

  416. For it began with grace. It began with grace and I

  417. remained in your grace by what I did and how I conducted myself.

  418. Hence St. Paul writes, offer your bodies

  419. as a holy and pleasing sacrifice to the Lord.

  420. And I did, meaning I repented from all these posing in

  421. derogative poses on Facebook and and my social medias.

  422. I repented from all the cussing and the and the foul language

  423. that I was continuing. I repented from adultery and,

  424. and, and you know, fornication and hatred and gossip and what

  425. have you and I continued in the good deeds that you Lord said

  426. for me. Now it's ending with grace.

  427. I will enter your eternal Kingdom again by your grace,

  428. because it began with your grace and it will end and continue in

  429. your grace. And all this through faith in

  430. the One, the Son of God, the Lord, the Christ, the Savior

  431. Jesus Christ, praise and glory be to His name now and of all

  432. times and forever. Amen.
