The Anointing is There, But the Atmosphere is Toxic | Journey With Jesus Part 4 | Apostle Mike Signorelli

Come on.

We're gonna.

We're gonna look at Mark, chapter six, and we're gonna start

in the first verse, and I'm gonna read these scriptures, and

I want you to just lean into the word today because some of you

are surrounded by people who are experts on your past, but they

don't know anything by the spirit about your future.

Well, you know those people that.

They can see everything you've done, but they can't see anything

in the spirit that you're going to do.

You know what I'm talking about?

It's.

Sometimes you're in a room with somebody that knows your history

but has no grid for your destiny.

This is why we're looking at Mark, Chapter six, verses one through

six.

It says he went away from there and came to his hometown, Smithtown.

His hometown.

Come on.

Portage, Indiana, his hometown, Miami.

And his disciples followed him.

And on the Sabbath, he began to teach in the synagogue.

And many who heard him were astonished.

Where did this man get these things?

What is the wisdom given to him?

What mighty works are wrought by his hands?

Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James

and Judas?

And, you know, it's like, we know this guy.

And it says.

And are not his sisters here with us?

Okay, here's the most important part for this beginning

of the sermon.

And they took offense at him.

Jesus was preaching so good in his hometown that instead of getting

inspired, they.

They got offense.

This is a wisdom key for many of you.

You are going to.

By doing the.

The call that God has for your life in front of an audience of people

from your hometown, you're more likely to offend them than inspire

them.

Are y' all with me?

This is the truth.

And.

And let me continue to read the text.

And Jesus said to them, a prophet is not without honor except

in his hometown and among his relatives.

He and in his own household.

And this is important.

Follow me.

And he could do no mighty works there, except that he laid

his hands on a few sick people and he healed them.

And he mar.

And he marveled because of their unbelief.

And he went among the villages and did teaching.

This is important because Jesus is in Nazareth And.

And no.

And very few miracles happen.

Not because Jesus was incapable of doing miracles, but

because they were incapable of believing that he could do them.

It was the same anointing, but a different atmosphere.

And see if you get that anointing and that anointing is capable

of producing miracles, but you don't have the power of agreement

with people who believe that the miracles can happen through you,

it will be an atmosphere that puts a stranglehold on the miraculous.

It's the same anointing, but it's a different atmosphere.

And the atmosphere of Nazareth put a stranglehold on the anointing

that Jesus Christ himself had.

You know, there's some people that, they know your resume, but

they don't know the revelation.

Come on.

They could.

They could list his relatives, but they could not recognize his

calling.

You can recognize my cousins, my brothers, my aunties, my uncles.

You can tell me my whole lineage, but you can't tell me my

legacy.

Are y' all with me?

This is Nazareth.

And if Jesus got treated like this.

Think about it.

If Jesus got treated like this.

All right, we gotta keep going.

Are y' all with me?

Come on.

I wrote this out.

Yes.

I wrote this one out.

Familiarity didn't bring faith.

It bred offense.

Familiarity didn't breed faith.

It actually bred offense.

And this is most likely what's happened in your life.

And you've been subjected to this in the Nazareth of your life.

When they're like, weren't you the one drinking the alcohol?

Weren't you the one smoking?

Matter of fact, didn't you just slip.

Up the other week?

Wait a second.

Didn't you cuss and see?

What happens is they know everything about what you did, but

nothing about what you can do through Christ.

This is Nazareth.

This is Nazareth.

I just want to say this very early on.

I think it's important that you get into environments that are

not like Nazareth, because what will happen is the Lord will

anoint you, but their lack of expectations on you will extinguish

the ability of that anointing.

And this is very important for you to understand because it says,

and Jesus only healed a few people.

Why?

Because there were only a few who believed he could heal.

That's why there was a.

And this is later on this year, we're going to have an entire

month and you're going to actually help me.

Come here real quick.

Yeah, come here.

You're in the front row.

Come up on stage.

He can come.

He can come by.

Come here.

So this is going to be.

This is going to be a cool story.

So we went viral.

Did you.

Did you know that?

Yeah.

Are you okay with that?

Yeah.

Because the Lord spoke to me when we were in front of thousands

of people in a stadium.

And I turned around and the Lord told me that you have the gift

of healing, that he's going to give you the gift of healing.

You're going to operate the gift of healing.

And then Jocelyn, who's actually one of the pastors here,

we were at a women's event, and I laid hands on her and felt

the release for the gift of healing.

And so later on this year, we're gonna do a whole series about

healing.

And you're gonna help me pray for sick people.

And I have people from the medical community that are gonna

join with us, and they're gonna verify the miracles that happened

through this young man's hand.

How many of you believe it?

And Jesus is gonna receive a lot of glory.

Come on.

Are you ready to help me later on this year?

Come on.

All right.

Come on.

You can go back and take some notes, son.

But Jocelyn's gonna help me.

He's gonna help me.

And here's the reason why I'm saying this is because it says.

And Jesus said, and you will lay hands on the sick, and they will

recover.

And so I just have to believe that.

But here's the thing.

I can't treat you like you're normal, because if I treat you like

you're normal, then I can only receive normal from you.

But by the spirit.

I sense that maybe on that stage in Chicago, the next John G.

Lake was standing behind me.

And he might not even be 18 years old yet, but neither was David

when he got anointed king, because the anointing shows up before

the assignment.

But somebody's got to have the eyes of Samuel.

So you can't be a Nazarite in Nazarene, the Nazareth person.

You've got to act like a Capernaum person, because somebody

in Capernaum can see who you are.

And that's what we're gonna continue the next part of our journey

here.

Okay, follow me.

I gotta keep picking up the pace.

Cause y' all know, you could just tell it's one of those.

Luke chapter four.

Now, so write this down.

Luke, chapter four.

And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up.

Weren't you brought up on Long Island?

See, this.

This young man was brought up on Long Island.

But it took God sending somebody not from Long island to

see who he could be.

See, this is.

But it's not a geographic thing.

It's.

It's a spiritual thing.

So when I'm preaching to you every week, I'm not looking at you

in your current form.

When you're, like.

When you.

Some of you who have been in the physical audience, or maybe I've

looked through those screens and you've been like, Was he looking

at me?

I was looking at you, but I wasn't looking at this you.

I was looking at the you that I see in the future healed of all

your diseases.

I was looking at the you in the future that I see restored in

your marriage.

And see, because I've had to train my eyes.

But here's the thing.

If I can't see that for you, I can't see it for me.

As a matter of fact, I had.

To see it for me before I. Oh, come on.

I had to see it for me.

Before I could see it.

I had to believe I could pray.

For someone and they get healed before I could call it out

in you.

And so I don't know who this.

Is for, but some of you are not in a physical Nazareth, you are

in a mental Nazareth because you can't see it through your own

hands, your own life, your own marriage, your own relationships.

And the more I practice by faith, seeing it for me, the easier

it became seeing it for somebody else.

As a matter of fact, sometimes God will bring a preacher into your

life to see something for you that you don't see for yourself until

you see it for yourself.

It's time to come into agreement with it.

Come on.

So all of a sudden, he came into Nazareth where he'd been brought

up.

And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day

and he stood up to read.

And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him.

And he unrolled the scroll.

Come on.

Can you imagine?

They accidentally gave the scroll of the book of Isaiah to Jesus

Christ himself.

Now, there ain't no accidents in the kingdom.

Amen.

And so he opens up this scroll and he begins to read.

The spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me.

Oh, I could just.

I could end the sermon right there.

No, no.

My mom didn't anoint me.

Mary didn't anoint me.

My brothers didn't anoint me.

I didn't get anointed in the synagogue, even though I'm preaching

in the synagogue.

Because God anointed me.

Oh, come on, somebody.

You're here under the sound of my voice because God anointed you

for something.

It doesn't matter if they like you.

They couldn't stop you from getting anointed.

It doesn't matter if they agree with you.

It doesn't matter if they like your church, if they like you, what

you got to say.

But when God anoints you, God calls you.

God establishes you ain't nothing Going to stop you.

That right there is a whole sermon in and of itself.

God anointed me.

And guess what, son?

I may have been the one who laid hands on you.

I may have been the one who prophesied over you.

But I did not anoint you in Chicago.

God anointed you in Chicago.

I was just a conduit for it.

Come on, do the moonwalk.

God did it.

See this.

That'll preach.

Because in my darkest days, I've had to remind myself because

I'll preach it from the other perspective.

If man anointed you, then you could cancel you.

Because you could say, man messed up.

I'm preaching good right now, whether you realize it or not.

If man anointed you, then you could say, well, man made a mistake.

But God does not make mistakes.

And he must see something about a version of me that I am not.

Right now, he might be interacting with a future version

of you, knowing that he who began a good work in you will see

it through till completion.

God, I don't see what you see.

But I'm believing what you believe until I see what you see.

Come on, somebody.

Put your hands together and give me a 20 second praise break

if you believe what I just said.

Come on.

Shout like you're saved.

Shout like you're anointed.

Shout like he called you.

Shout like.

Every demon's gonna have to shut up in Nazareth.

Cause I'm going to Capernaum.

Hallelujah.

Yeah.

Somebody say I'm going to Capernaum.

Come on.

They don't like being Dunkin Donuts.

I'm going to Starbucks.

They don't like me in Smithtown.

I'm going to Brooklyn.

Come on, somebody.

I will.

In the next season of my life.

I will go where I am honored.

I will go where somebody sees who I am.

I don't have to stay in Nazareth.

Nazareth was an assignment, but not a destination.

Nazareth is.

It may have been where I lived, but it's not going to be where

I'm living.

So, see, you can't skip Nazareth.

But you also may not stay there.

Come on.

Oh, come on.

Oh, I messed up.

I. I lost years of my life going to the wrong church.

No, no, no.

You had to be in Nazareth to appreciate Capernaum.

It wasn't the wrong church.

It was the right church.

I mean, even God gave Moses Pharaoh.

Pharaoh was one of the greatest gifts ever given to Moses.

Because Moses never became a deliverer until he had somebody keeping

him captive.

Even Moses was a ph.

Pharaoh was a gift of Moses.

If you could see in the Spirit.

And some of you, like, I went to the wrong church.

No, no, no.

You went through Nazareth on your way to Capernaum.

And you had to be rejected.

So you understood what happens to the anointing when somebody doesn't

see that God.

Gave it to you.

Far be it from me to get in the middle of what God is doing.

God gave you that gift to sing.

That's why you're like a bird.

You don't tell a bird to sing in the morning, it wakes up chirping.

Am I right?

You don't tell a bird to sing.

You don't tell a lion to roar.

It's who I am.

I scream when I preach, but a lion roars.

It's who I am.

You be you.

You want to be a giraffe, be a giraffe.

Come on.

You want to be a little kitty cat?

You be a little kitty cat.

I'm a lion.

I roar.

It's what I do.

I purr a little bit.

Come on now.

Let's get back to the Bible.

He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives.

Let me just say this.

Jesus was fulfilling a prophecy where he said, he sent me.

I didn't go.

He sent me.

It's not my idea.

It's his idea.

This is important.

He was sent and he said, to proclaim liberty to the captives

and recovering of sight to the blind and set at liberty those who

are oppressed.

And to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.

Now, for all of us low down, dirty former sinners, that's the

greatest message ever.

But Nazareth had something that people have today.

And it is a disease without a cure.

And it is called pride.

And this is what happens when prideful people hear a message.

They become more prideful.

Think about it.

He rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant and

sat down.

And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him.

And he began to say to them, well, today that Scripture has been

fulfilled in your hearing.

And he said, truly, I say to you, no prophet is acceptable in

his hometown.

And when he heard these things.

When they heard these things, all in the synagogue were filled

with wrath.

Jesus Christ standing in front of them, saying, I've come to set

you free.

And they were filled with wrath.

Think about it.

People are gonna be mad at me until I die.

Because they were mad at Jesus and Nazareth when all he did was

quote a prophet they all loved.

Do you hear what I'm saying?

It's that deep.

You could literally go on the Internet and say Jesus loves you

and someone will actually have something bad to say about that.

This is the day and age we live in.

You'll give somebody the love of God and get wrath in return.

But it's not a reflection of Jesus.

Jesus provokes them to reveal who they really are.

That's it.

And that's the ministry of Jesus is a ministry that provokes

the truth to be revealed.

And the truth of Nazareth is that they were evil people and wrath

began to come out of.

And they rose up and drove him out of the town and brought him up

to the brow of the hill, which you saw me last Sunday on the exact.

I'm talking.

That was the exact brow of the hill I was on.

And, and they call it a hill in scripture.

I didn't realize until I was physically in Nazareth.

It's not a hill by our standards.

It's like a mountain.

So they were going to kill our Savior before his time.

And it's something to really consider the fact that all he did

was read scripture and they, they saw fit that that was worthy

of killing him.

But.

And it was because he said, today these scriptures are fulfilled

before you.

And what he did is he revealed.

Oh, hold on.

He revealed his true identity to people who did not want to receive

it.

Oh, you think it's dangerous coming out gay?

Come out as a prophet.

Come out as evangelist.

Come out as a preacher.

Come out as an on fire Christian.

Come out.

Oh, come on.

You, you.

I'm telling you, it's treacherous.

Because that's same spirit that tried to kill Jesus will try

to get you too.

Come out as a preacher.

Come out as a Jesus lover and see what happens.

This is what happened.

He declared his true identity in front of people who only wanted

him to live.

What's false?

Watch this.

They're filled with wrath.

They rose up, they went down to the hill or they went up to the

hill to throw him down.

But then I love this because Jesus is like Batman.

I don't know how this is possible.

Must have been supernatural nature.

He literally has the ability to walk through a crowd that wants

to kill him and just walk away.

That, that was a supernatural experience.

I believe it was God's way of saying, it's not your time.

It's not your time, Jesus.

Now Jesus comes home in the power of the spirit and he publicly

declares, the spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed

me.

See, the anointing requires an announcement.

The anointing requires an announcement.

You must understand that you cannot be privately anointed and

never expect a public announcement.

And when that announcement comes, you will face great wrath

by people who want to keep you in the wrong identity.

See, this is why it's so important that you understand this

message.

Because many of you are living in the gap between when you are anointed

and when you are announced.

And you don't know you're going to have to survive a Nazareth

season.

It's part of the journey that we go on.

You know, at first the text says that there's amazement.

Then when he confronts their unbelief and their sense of entitlement.

Think about it.

The amazement turns into murderous rage.

And if you look at the Scriptures, the Book of Mark and

the Book of Luke, they basically together show this picture

that the anointing is present, but Nazareth simply refuses to receive

it.

This is very important.

I want to define the anointing for you now.

This is our house definition.

So once I give this definition, if anybody in our house

say anything contrary to what I'm saying from this stage, they're

wrong.

I'm saying that in love.

Cause I'm giving you a theological answer because the term

the anointing has been abused.

And I want to define for you what it means.

So what is the anointing, Mike?

In the Old Testament, the anointing was physical oil that was

poured out on a head so it would be physically poured out.

The anointing was poured upon the head of David when he was a shepherd

boy.

It was physical oil.

The anointing was actually poured over the head of Jehu before

he became king of Israel as well.

Because the anointing was physically represented as oil.

And as it was poured out by a prophet, that prophet was making

a designation from God and saying, this person has been chosen.

And.

And they have been given an assignment.

But here's the most important part for each and every one of us

in the New Testament under the New Covenant, which we're all under

right now, the anointing is the Holy Spirit empowering you to

do your assignment.

So the anointing is not physical oil, but the Holy Spirit

is the anointing that is empowering you to fulfill your assignment.

So when someone says, I feel the anointing, what they're really

saying is, I'm.

My Spirit is identifying the Holy Spirit empowering me to do something.

It's not a mood.

It's not a mood.

It's a mantle.

Do you hear what I just said?

The anointing is not a Mood, It's a mantle.

And so when the Christians, they treat the anointing like, oh,

I just feel the anointing to know your spirit is recognizing that

the Holy Spirit is empowering.

You to do something.

And the problem is, when you start interpreting the anointing

as a mood, you'll never operate in the mantle.

But the mantle is for work.

The mantle is to go out and work.

This church is not for lost people, people.

This church is to equip and train the saints to go out and operate

in a mantle that God has given you.

And that's why you don't have just a pastor, you have an apostle

because you have a mantle.

And if you got a congregation with no mantles, you can have only

pastors.

But if you got saints with a mantle, you need an apostle to say,

now go and do the work.

And Christianity doesn't work if you don't do the work.

Christianity doesn't work if you don't do the work.

As a matter of fact, the only.

Reason why I've remained a Christian is.

Because I do the work.

Because if my job was to sit on YouTube and watch all the bickering

and strife and gossip and arguing and division, I'd have just

gone back to being an atheist, to tell you the truth.

If Christianity was just singing good songs.

Well, I like Journey.

Don't stop believing.

If it's singing songs.

Mariah Carey's got some bangers.

Do you get what I'm saying?

The anointing's not a mood.

Come on.

The world creates moods with production, but the Holy Spirit releases

mantles with power.

I don't want a mood.

I want a mantle.

Oh, come on.

I'm here to be anointed by the Holy Ghost.

And I love what Jesus, he said, I have been anointed by God

to preach.

I tell you, how I know this stuff is real is I didn't learn how

to preach in seminary.

I learned how to preach under the unction of the Holy Ghost.

And seminary molded and complimented what God already anointed

and empowered.

But I'll tell you what.

You can go 15 years in school.

School, and your head will grow in.

Knowledge, but your spirit will never have the empowerment.

And you'll be preaching to empty rooms with no changed lives.

But I take a gang banger off the street, and the Holy Ghost of

God puts a gift on the inside of them.

And they'll be marveling, saying, how does somebody this simple

have this much wisdom?

Because the Holy Ghost did it through them.

I'm thankful for the Holy Ghost.

Y' all can have your Holy Spirit.

I have the Holy Ghost.

I don't know the difference.

Do you?

The difference is the anointing.

The anointing of God.

We need the anointing.

But the anointing is not a physical oil.

The anointing now is the representation of the empowerment

through the Holy Spirit.

Oh, Jesus was anointed, but they're offended.

The text doesn't say Jesus lost power in Nazareth.

It says they lost faith in him.

In Nazareth.

Your anointing can be fully intact while the room is completely

uninterested.

It's possible.

It's possible.

Same anointing, different atmosphere.

Are y' all with me?

Nazareth is what happens when gossip is louder than the one proclaiming

the gospel.

Nazareth is the place where your nickname is louder than your

new name.

Y' all got y'.

All.

Did you hear what I said?

I mean, you know, you're in Nazareth when your nickname is louder

than your new name.

And we need to become the kind of church that doesn't call people

their nickname.

It calls them their new name.

We need to become the kind of church that starts calling your future

out instead of reminding you of your past.

And I learned that from Julie Signorelli, who, 20 years ago, saw

me drunk on alcohol and barricaded our front door.

And she began to point her bony little finger in my face and

say.

You are not Johnny Cash.

You are not an alcoholic.

You are a global church plant and pastor, and you are a preacher.

And you're gonna sober up and lead our family.

And when I look the least like I do right now, she was saying it

the most.

And sometimes you gotta get the loudest.

When the world looks the darkest.

Sometimes you gotta say it before anybody.

Else even sees it.

Are you ready to prophesy with me in this church?

Come on, prophesy with me.

What's your husband gonna be?

What's your wife gonna be?

You will eat the fruit of your words.

And I don't know about you, but it's sowing season, and I'm gonna

be releasing some prayer prophecies and germinating the soil,

because it's the same anointing, but it's about to be a

different atmosphere.

Come on.

Anybody here ready to shift the atmosphere with me?

Come on.

Oh, you can't launch a church in New York.

You don't know New York culture.

You don't know the atmosphere of Nazareth.

I didn't come here to learn your culture.

I came here to change it and bring the culture of the kingdom.

I didn't come here.

I am not a thermometer.

Come on.

To tell you what the temperature is.

I'm a thermostat.

And I came here to turn it up with the fire of the Holy Ghost.

I'm contending for revival.

And if I got five people who want revival, I'll have a five person

revival tonight.

Come on.

Somebody shout.

Come on.

Shift the atmosphere.

Come on.

Matthew 4:12.

Matthew 4:12

I gotta keep going.

They're provoking me.

If you're watching right now, they're provoking me.

It's.

You're starting to learn the pull.

The pull.

You have to learn how to pull the anointing.

We were in Manhattan last week, and I rebuked a young man in

front of the whole church and didn't feel bad about it because

I asked that church to pray.

And that young man was sitting over there eating Flamin Hot Cheetos.

And I said, that's not the kind of fire you need in your mouth.

So, son, I said, stand up and you're going to pray with all of

us.

And you're lucky that our church is small enough that I can

see you over there missing your calling.

Let me just tell you, we need fathers in the faith that will see

somebody's future and say, you may be eating Flamin Hot Cheetos

now, but I.

See you being a husband.

And if you can't pray in church, you're not going to pray

in the bedroom.

If you can't pray, come on.

If you can't pray for Jesus.

Come on, bride.

You ain't gonna know how to pray for your own bride.

So get your butt up and throw those Cheetos out and start joining

the Lord's army.

See, this generation needs a hard word sometime.

Just say, lord, sign me up.

This is, this is.

This is important because we have to learn the pull.

Everybody say the pull.

See, the anointing, it operates within the realm of expectation.

The reason why we had to start having conferences in America is

because we don't have expectation unless there's a ticket

price and bigger stages and a four.

Oh, come on, somebody.

The reason why we needed the fog machines is because the glory

left the building.

The reason why the music got louder is because our prayers got

softer.

Oh, I'm telling you something.

I'm here to turn it all upside down and say, I'd rather go back

in a Central park without a sound system and get me 50 people

who want to be free from demons.

And the glory of the Lord will roll into that place.

Is there anybody who knows what I'm talking about?

Give me somebody that knows how to pull on the anointing.

I don't need a sound system, I don't need a stage, but I need expectation.

Nazareth is what it looks like to.

Have Jesus right in front of you, but.

But no miracles, because there's no expectation.

We don't need better preachers, we need better audience

members.

Because I'll tell you what, you put an expectation and you'll

draw the anointing out of somebody and you can feel the pool.

It's hard to explain.

You're going to experience it.

That's why I started bringing you up.

That's why I'm highlighting you as a young man.

Because what's happening is you'll feel the pull.

There's a withdrawal and you'll feel it.

This is why I wanted my daughter to be in this as well.

But on the converse, when you get into environments where people

start treating you common, it'll disrupt the Holy Spirit in

you.

It'll disturb you because you'll say, there's no pull.

See, a revival church is not a church with good music.

It's a church with high expectations of each other and, and

the Lord.

A revival church is not a church with good preaching.

It's a church that pulls the anointing out of whatever the preacher

is, whether it's through a screen and a camera, whether it's

through an audience in person, it doesn't matter.

I'm pulling on the anointing.

This is how it's always operated.

People say Benny Hinn's fake.

And that is a elementary conversation.

That's low level conversation.

I will tell you this.

I don't care to even talk about Benny Hinn, but I will talk

about expectation.

Because in the late 90s, he came to Chicago to fill a stadium.

And I stood in line for over seven hours.

And I watched people all around me get out of wheelchairs

before they went into the building.

And it.

And what.

I learned an important lesson.

I learned an important lesson at 17 years old.

It has nothing to do with Benny Hinn.

And it has everything to do with their expectation for the Lord.

And I often would ask God, why did you heal people before Benny

Hinn prayed for them?

And the Lord says, because it was never about him.

It was about the expectation.

See, the thing is, expectation is the precursor to faith.

And if you'll let the Lord increase your expectation, it may

actually birth faith.

And then atmospheres begin to change.

Come on, I gotta keep Going.

I'm almost done.

Are y' all with me still?

Matthew, chapter 4, verse 12.

Matthew 4:12

Watch what happens now.

When he heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew into Galilee

and leaving Nazareth.

Somebody says leave it.

Somebody say, I'm leaving Nazareth.

Come on, shout it, Boulder.

I'm leaving Nazareth.

Come on.

He went and lived in Capernaum by the sea, in the territory of Zebulon

and Naphtali, so that when what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah

might be fulfilled.

The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali.

The way of the sea beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles.

The people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light.

Think about what I just said.

The prophet said, the people living in great darkness have seen

a great light.

The people who are the easiest to minister to are the ones in the

greatest darkness.

This is why I don't spend my time with know it all Christians.

Christians who can tell you the whole.

Bible but don't live any of it.

Christians who have an opinion about everything.

But don't have any disciples because they haven't led any souls

to Christ.

I'll find most of them if you ask me.

Where's Mike right now?

I spend as much time as I can with people in darkness because it's

easy to preach the gospel to those who know that they're lost,

but it's almost impossible to preach the gospel to.

Someone who thinks that they don't have any changing to do.

And so I've spent much of my.

Time with people who want to learn and people who want to get

free, because deliverance is the result of humanity.

Humility.

It's a ministry of humility.

And there's something about getting into your.

Darkest place where people will say, I, I give up, I quit, I

surrender.

And the anointing of God will be drawn from your life because they

finally got to a place of humility.

So don't waste your time with Christians.

Who have an opinion on everything that's happening, but

they're not making anything happen in the kingdom.

Don't waste your time with Christians who are popular by the

world's standard, but heaven doesn't even know their name.

I want to be known and revered by Hel.

I want to be respected by every demon in every region.

And I want angels to be high fiving each other, saying, I'm so

glad that Mike's uber detoured in this city because something's

going to happen because that boy is obedient.

Somebody shout obedient.

You don't have to Be smart.

Be obedient.

You don't have to be talented.

Be obedient.

You don't have to be educated.

Be obedient.

Obedience is the greatest thing in the kingdom because it's

the only thing that's.

Necessary for the impossible.

I'll go wherever you want me to go.

I'll do whatever you want me to do, Lord.

I'll pay whatever price.

I may not be the smartest, but I will be the most obedient.

I may not be the most talented, but I will be the most

obedient.

And I'm not going to delay obedience.

I'm going to instantly obey God.

Whatever you say, I will do.

Some of you, for years the Lord's been trying to break you into

that position.

How many of you now are going to say, God?

Now I'll do it.

Now I'll do it, Lord.

Now I'll go.

Now I'll say it.

I will be obedient.

So Jesus literally leaves Nazareth and he goes to living Capernaum.

This is a prophetic fulfillment, but it's also a pattern.

He moves from the place that tried to throw him off of a cliff

to a place that would actually carry his ministry.

Don't let people's rejection stop you from ministering to another

group of people.

Don't let your former church heard stop you from actually participating

in a healthy church.

Go to Capernaum.

Don't let what happened in Nazareth stop you from being effective

in Capernaum.

Because just, oh, come on, somebody hurt.

You in Nazareth doesn't mean everybody will hurt you in Capernaum.

This is dripping with oil for somebody.

This is dripping.

Well, I just don't want it to happen again.

Well, this time is different.

It's the same anointing, but it's a different atmosphere.

It's the same anointing, but it's a different atmosphere.

Some of you are trying to correct what God has already told

you to.

Look, leave trying to correct Nazareth instead of leaving and going

to Capernaum.

Well, I. I got to help my pastor.

I got to tell my pastor, stop trying to correct Nazareth and just

go to Capernaum.

I just got to fix this.

I got to talk to them.

I got to work it out.

No, you don't fix Nazareth.

You leave it and you go to Capernaum.

Stop trying to correct what you should be leaving.

Stop begging Nazareth to value what God has already anointed it.

They ain't never going to value you.

If they were going to value you, they would have valued you.

After you Wrote a big check after you served there for years.

If they were going to value you, it would have been after you

worked there for years.

I'm telling you, stop trying to expect them to change.

God already anointed you.

You leave.

Go to where the gift is needed, not just where your past

is known.

Somebody needs your gift.

Everly, I want you to hear this, I'm speaking as your daddy

because I wanted you to hear this message.

Not everybody's going to understand the gifts God gave you.

And people who don't understand the gift that God gave

you are going to make you feel like you don't have any gifts at

all.

But you go where the gift is honored.

You go where people need what you've got.

Because there's some people who don't understand who you are

and they don't respect or cherish it.

But there will be other people in life that they'll say, everly,

you helped me so much and you changed my whole life.

And I'm so thankful for who you are.

See, this is important message because each and every one of you,

if Jesus the, the problem with staying in Nazareth too long is you

start believing what they believe.

The problem with staying in Nazareth too long is that you might

forget that God has anointed you because they wanted to relegate

you to carpentry instead of fullness in Christ.

And so the thing is, you go somewhere this.

Okay, I'll be honest with you.

When I started casting demons out of people like publicly and doing

it often, there's many churches in America that will never

invite me ever again to preach because they'll say he's gone too

far far.

Now if you ask me, I think that's ludicrous because Jesus Christ

told us to cast demons out.

But my point is deliverance is for the desperate.

I've, I've done prison ministry across the us I've never

gone into a prison and, and seen prisoners say, we don't want

Mike here because we don't need deliverance.

I, I, I've got a gift of healing.

And I prayed for sick people.

We've gone to Ukraine and the, the nurses have let us come in and,

and pray for four stories worth of sick people because they're

on their deathbed.

I've never had somebody on their deathbed tell me that they

don't want me to pray for them.

See, the thing is in life you gotta learn how to leave Nazareth

before Nazareth could becomes an atmosphere of your mind, not an

atmosphere of your life.

And there is somewhere where you are cherished, there is somewhere

where you are useful, there is somewhere where you are valued.

Do not stay in Nazareth so long.

That you forget who you are.

Oh, I feel this.

Now watch what happens.

And they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath, he

entered the synagogue and was teaching.

This is Mark, chapter one.

And they were astonished.

Now watch.

Isn't this crazy?

It's like a movie.

He just did this in Nazareth.

He went into the synagogue and he read the scripture, and they were

astonished.

Then he goes from Nazareth to Capernaum, and he does the same thing.

He.

He goes into another synagogue and he opens up the text and begins

to read.

And they're astonished.

And then look what it says.

For they.

They.

They were astonished.

For he taught them as one who had authority and not as the scribes.

And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean

spirit.

And he cried out, what have you.

To do with us, Jesus of Nazareth?

The demon had more respect for Jesus than the people who were in

Nazareth.

The demon recognized Jesus authority even when the people didn't.

How many of you know that you'd rather have a blue check mark

verification from hell than you would most churches?

Christians might not know who you are, but the devil better know

who you are.

Is there anybody who's gonna sign up for the verification of heaven

and say, I'm gonna be known by hell in this next season, even if

I'm not popular here on Earth?

And I find it interesting that in Capernaum the demon says, jesus

of Nazareth.

And he cast the demon out, and the demon actually says, I know who

you are, the Holy One of God.

The demon said, I know who you are, the Holy One of God.

Mike, why does the devil even fight me?

I haven't even wrote the worship song yet that the nations

are gonna sing.

Mike, why does the devil fight me?

I haven't even written the book yet.

Mike, why does the devil fight me?

My business hasn't even gone six figures.

I feel insignificant.

No, no.

See, Jesus was just getting started in his ministry.

And the demon knew who he was before he accomplished the assignment.

See, the one person you can count on knowing the true you is

the person who's been fighting you since before you were in your

mother's womb.

And it's the devil himself.

Don't let the devil have more certainty about your destiny than

you do.

Don't let the devil know who you are more than you know who you

are.

Come on.

See, the devil will fight you for who you're going to become.

Before you become it, you buy.

You might as well make it worth a fight.

You might as well make it worth the fight.

Oh, if I'm gonna fight, it's gonna.

Be a good fight.

This is gonna be pay per view.

If I'm gonna fight, it's gonna be pay per view.

If I'm gonna fight, you're gonna.

It's gonna be a good fight.

See, Paul told Timothy, Timothy, remember the problem prophecies

that were set over your life so that you can fight the good fight.

Some of you got to remind yourself what the Lord told you in

a prophetic dream.

Some of you got to remind yourself what the Lord told you through

a prophet.

Remind yourself of what the Lord said so you can fight the good

fight.

How many of you are going to remember who you are now.

What he says?

But Jesus rebuked him, saying, be silent.

And come out of him.

And the unclean spirit, convulsing and crying out with a

loud voice came out of him.

And they were all amazed.

And they questioned among themselves, what is this?

A new teaching with authority he commands even the unclean spirits

and they obey.

And at once his fame spread everywhere, throughout all the surrounding

regions of the Galilee.

In Nazareth, he almost gets murdered.

In Capernaum, he becomes famous.

See, I want to show you this because there's a lot of bad theology.

There's two ways to get famous.

By doing Satan's will and by doing God's will.

When Jesus did the will of the Father, his name began to spread

all over the land.

See, here's the thing.

The question I want to ask you is, are you doing what you've been

anointed to do doesn't mean you'll do it all the time.

This is one hour on stage for 50 hours of prayer and writing this

sermon.

All of it's my purpose.

It's 20 years of pastoral counseling for one 45 minute sermon

that counsels you in one sitting.

But it's all my purpose.

And I think the question that we need to ask ourselves is, are

we even worthy of the fight that the enemy's fighting against

us?

If he's gonna fight you like you already wrote the book, you might

as well just go ahead and write the book.

If he's gonna fight you like you've already made a million dollars,

you might as well just make a million dollars.

If he's gonna fight you like you.

Already did it, you might as well.

Go ahead and do it.

Because Jesus said, I've been anointed by God to preach so I'm

gonna open up this scroll and I'm gonna preach.

And if God's God called you to do it, you don't need any more permission.

You go on the streets and preach.

You go on the Internet and preach.

You go and write.

You do what God's called you to do because he can't steer a parked

car.

And God can correct your vision, he can correct your direction,

but he cannot start you.

Many times I said, God, you're gonna have to stop me because I'm

just gonna do this thing.

And God honors motion because motion is how you operate in the

mantle.

He honors motion.

I'm just going to do this thing.

Well, who told you you can do it?

God did.

What's the worst thing that's going to happen?

Somebody's going to get saved.

What's the worst thing that's going to happen?

A demon's going to come out of somebody.

What's the worst thing that's going to happen?

Somebody's going to get healed.

Come on, let's do Christianity the wild way.

Come on, let's have fun.

Let's terrorize the devil.

Let's have fun with this thing.

You know what I'm talking about.

Come on.

Forget that oppression, that spirit of heaviness.

Use your authority.

Speak to that spirit.

Break the power of it.

Come on, get ornery with me.

Come on, push back a little bit.

Armor up.

Come on, oil up your shield.

Put on the full armor of God and get out there and let's go.

Make the devil pay for a little while.

We're coming, coming out of Nazareth.

And this church V1 church is coming into Capernaum.

And we're going to see the miraculous because we believe.

And it's going to happen through teenagers hands.

And it's going to happen through middle aged mothers hands.

And it's going to happen through black hands and Asian hands

and white hands and brown hands and old hands and young hands.

Because when his spirit gets poured out, it will pour out upon

all flesh.

And your sons and daughters will prosper.

Prophesy and your old men will dream.

I ain't got time to worry.

I'm dreaming dreams.

I ain't got no time to be in fear.

I've got a vision from heaven.

Hey, hey.

Get into the spiritual realm, the spiritual realm.

Come on, faith.

Somebody shall faith.

We go from expectation to faith.

It's another synagogue, it's another Sabbath, but a completely

different atmosphere.

In Nazareth they questioned him.

In Capernaum they were astonished by him.

The same anointing that Jesus that they resisted In Jesus in Nazareth,

Nazareth they received In Capernaum the last thing in Nazareth

they said, isn't this the carpenter?

In Capernaum they said, what is this authority?

In Nazareth offense spreads.

In Capernaum his fame spreads.

In Nazareth they try to throw him off of a cliff.

But in Capernaum demons are thrown out from people's bodies.

Let's do an atmosphere diagnostic because we gotta understand

we're gonna end like this.

What shuts off the anointing.

I'm gonna give you those atmospheres and we're gonna close

and we're gonna do this together.

So for everybody at all of our campuses, for everybody watching

at home, we're gonna actually shift the atmosphere together.

Because I was studying these flowers called Queen of the Night.

Some of you husband can call your wife the Queen of the Night.

That's creepy, but it's kind of, kind of sexy.

The Queen of the Night.

But I was studying these flowers because basically they stay

closed all day.

And they only open under very specific conditions.

So there has to be a very certain temperature, a certain amount

of darkness, in a certain amount of stillness.

If the atmosphere is perfect, this flower called the Queen of the

Night, it will open.

But if something is not right in the atmosphere of the conditions,

it stays closed.

And you'll never know what it fully is.

Let me talk about the atmosphere of the church.

If we ever become a church where a teenager can't have the greatest

healing ministry amongst us, be the first person to close these

doors.

If we ever become a church where somebody 65 years old can't

come in and restart their ministry and be preaching again,

I'll be the first person to close this church down.

If we can't be the kind of church that somebody can grow up.

See, we cannot see each other with the natural eyes.

We have to be the kind of church that by the Spirit, sees who

somebody really is and spirit speaks into it.

And if this whole church can do.

This across all of our campuses, what.

Will happen is like a flower in the correct atmosphere will begin

to open and reveal what we really are.

And it may be shocking, it may be surprising when we open.

But see, we've got to see it by the Spirit before so we can.

Create the atmosphere so we can see it in the natural.

And I'm concerned because there's churches that.

Are not the right atmosphere.

So watch this for your notes, for your notes.

And this is a Nazareth atmosphere.

Gossip and whispering.

If you have to lower your voice to gossip, you are lowering

Honor.

That flows the anointing.

If you gotta lower your voice, you.

Are decreasing the anointing.

Gossip and whispering is the atmosphere of Nazareth.

Here's another one.

Strife.

Drama.

Did you hear about that?

Constant conflict.

That is an atmosphere of Nazareth.

Constant fighting.

Constant conflict.

When you care more about the anointing, you'll lose an argument

so you can win the favor of God.

And you'll say, I ain't even worried about it.

I'm not gonna fight you over that.

You think whatever you think, but I'm not here to put please you.

I'm here to please the Father.

And I can't be involved in all.

This conflict because it'll disrupt the flow of the anointing.

Cynicism, sarcasm, fault finding.

Let's talk about sarcasm.

Sarcastic environments are Nazareth environments.

They stop the flow of the anointing.

Cynicism, sarcasm, being a conspiracy theorist.

Ooh, what's happening by the.

Behind the curtain.

You guys are behind the curtain.

What are they doing?

Ooh, call Candace Owens.

What's Ooh?

Okay, you can have your little drama or you can have the anointing,

but you cannot operate in both realms.

I'm telling you why.

Because the time it takes to devote to conspiracies is about how

much time it takes to get into prayer and to go down on your knees

and to submit yourself before God and humble yourself and receive

the anointing.

And not that that stuff ain't juicy.

It's just I don't have that time.

The Lord's coming quickly.

No good soldier entangles himself in the affairs of the people.

you a subscriber because you've got issues that you subscribe

to.

And see, some of you need to unsubscribe and you need to say,

lord, get me back to what heaven is concerned about what heaven

is doing.

Here's a question that they ask in Nazareth.

What do you.

Or who do you think you are?

Who do you think you are?

Who do you think you are?

It's like they're obsessed, but here's a capernaum atmosphere.

Honor for the presence of God and honor for the call on people.

It's not my wife honoring me in front of our church.

It's me flowing that honor to each and every one of you and saying,

I expect you to do greater things.

The only reason why I'm standing in front of you is not to

be the Greatest among you, it's to be the greatest servant so

that you do greater things than me.

It's just me giving away everything that cost me my time,

my life, my effort, my years and giving it to you in moments,

even though it cost me decades so that you can go and accelerate

and do faster with your life.

What cost me 20 years cost you.

20 minutes because I gave it to you for free.

And I blood you for for it.

So that you can run with it.

And there's something about, See, that's what it is.

I'm not above you, I'm below you, pushing you up and saying, now

go do what God's called you to do.

So Nazareth has holy expectations.

Something's got to happen today.

You know, I've been saying that for a long time and I've never

been wrong.

If you wake up and say something, God's going to do something

today.

I tell you, I don't know what.

He'S gonna do, but he's gonna do something.

And I'll tell you.

And not one day has passed and that not been true.

When you wake up and the first thing you do is grab for Instagram,

you're asking, what are they doing?

But if you wake up, you say, God, what are you doing?

God, I wanna.

I know you're gonna do something today.

And when you have that level of expectation, it'll turn into faith.

And faith will move mountains.

What are you gonna do today, God, I can't wait to see you break

the jaws of my enemies today.

I wait to see you scatter my enemies today.

I'm talking spiritually, not naturally.

God, I can't wait to see the window open from heaven and pour

out a blessing that I can't even contain.

So I can bless other people, God, I can't wait.

I know what Trump's doing, but I know what you're doing.

Oh, come on, somebody.

I know what the world leaders are doing, but I know that you're

moving the pieces and you've got a Joseph in Goshen being positioned

and they say inflation.

But I say you're about to inflate my blessing because.

Because, God, you're not going to leave me abandoned.

And I'm going to distribute seed in the time of need.

I know what you're doing, God, I.

Know what you're doing, God, God, what are you doing?

That's capernaum.

What's Jesus going to do today with expectation?

God, could today be the day you heal me?

Could today be the day that you change it?

Expectation Future finding instead of fault finding.

See, when I'm fault finding, I'm looking at you with the intention

to see what's wrong.

Now, it's hard for you because you're almost perfect, son.

But it.

But you know, when you're fault finding, you're looking, you're

scrutinizing.

Let me look for something wrong.

See, what if you put that same energy of fault finding into future

finding?

That's a capernaum.

That's a capernaum.

When you look into someone, you say, man, what could the.

What is the most that God could do through them in a lifetime?

And can I see it?

Oh, now you're figuring me out.

Unity.

Everybody say unity.

That's a Capernaum atmosphere.

Unity.

Nazareth gossips, Capernaum intercedes.

Nazareth nitpicks.

Capernaum leans into the teaching.

Nazareth says, prove it.

Capernaum says, speak, Lord.

It's the same anointing, but the different atmosphere.

And how many years did you work at the steel mill?

44 years at.

It had six names, but it ended up being Arsler Middle at the end.

So 44 years as a steel mill worker.

We're in bib overalls, working in deplorable conditions.

But with the very first time I met him, the Lord spoke to me and

he said, this man is a pastor and he will be known as a pastor.

And there will come a time where it will shock people to know

that he ever even worked in a steel mill.

Now today in front of you, that word's fulfilled.

Because right now we have seven campuses of people watching

this message and tens.

Of thousands of people online.

And he's been faithfully serving as a.

Pastor of this church for years.

And most people that met him never.

Even knew that he was a steel mill worker.

Am I right?

Correct.

Correct.

And that word came to pass.

But here's the thing.

If I would have met him and treated him as a steel mill worker,

he would have retired from his job.

He would have moved to Florida.

The Lord rebuke you.

Don't even think about it.

And then he would have ended up living out his days.

And his obituary would have read, here lies Dean Anderson, 44

years in the steel mill.

But God said, I got a greater story.

You're gonna be a pioneer who goes to one of the hardest places

in America, and you're gonna help your son launch a church.

And then out of your.

Come on.

Out of your obedience.

Come on, somebody shout obedience.

Multiple campuses are gonna be launched.

And just like you were in that steel mill, you're gonna be forging

some men in the fire, and you're gonna be forging men with

steel backs that will not bow to Babylon.

And fruit is gonna come.

And I'll tell you, how many of you believe that Dean's got decades

more to go, and his story's not over.

And the last will be greater than the beginning.

the Lord so much glory to see a teenager birth a healing ministry.

I'm telling y', all, it gives the Lord so much glory.

I mean, you're leading worship for, I don't know, 50,000 people

today.

Could you imagine out of.

And guess what?

You didn't even have to move, Steph.

You got to stay right here.

That's how good.

I don't know what sins we committed, Dean, that we had to move,

but Steph got to stay.

But you know what?

You had a capernaum expectation in Nazareth, and that's

why the Lord drew you out of Nazareth and said, I'm going to bring

you and you're going to see it with your own eyes.

Right over it.

Right behind your shoulder is a man of great faith who believed

in miracles.

And he has.

He became a father to this church.

And we have what we have because he joined.

These stories go all over the building.

All over the building, all in the other buildings.

Why?

Because we have A capernaum expectation says.

And when I was preparing for this sermon, the Lord spoke to me.

This is what the Lord said.

He said, mike, for many of them, Nazareth is not their family,

it's not their friends, it's their mind.

Nazareth is your mind.

And that's why you have to say, I can, I will, I shall.

In Jesus name.

I can, I will, I shall.

And here's the humility.

God, I don't know why you chose.

Me, but I do know you chose me.

God, I don't know why it was me.

But I believe that I will figure it out along the way.

And so what I want to do to end service is we're going to make

a Capernaum atmosphere.

And what we're going to do is going to begin to create the pool

and the expectation.

And some of you have broken expectations where you've said, God,

I believe for healing for so long, and I didn't get healed.

Maybe it's your will for me not to get healed.

No, it's his will that all of us would be healed.

Everywhere Jesus went that there was faith.

He would say, your faith has made you whole.

There is not one person that Jesus.

Ever said, it's my will that you would not be healed.

So you change your expectation.

You say, God, I believe.

Maybe it's a broken expectation of, I tried, but I failed.

Well, go to Capernaum.

Go to this place and say, God.

But this time is different.

It's a different, different atmosphere.

It's the same anointing, but a different atmosphere.

So this is the atmosphere of the anointing.

So I just want you to begin to sing and lead us prophetically all

around the world right now and just begin to flow.

And then I'm gonna pray with you.
