And I just want to give you just a couple of announcements that

It wasn't that Jesus was lacking any power.

It was because they were lacking faith.

And I don't know about you, but my faith is ready.

I want you to stand to your feet, raise the level of your expectation.

Father, we worship you.

We lift your name up.

I thank you, Lord, that what you're going to do during this sermon

is change our lives forever and speak into the innermost situations,

God and deal with them.

And Lord, I thank you for breakthrough and freedom in Jesus

name.

He is truly suffering for the gospel because he left Miami and

he moved to Brooklyn immediately, joined the team, and

he's just doing a great job.

So we love you, Caleb.

Well, I wanna jump into this message, okay?

And it's so important that you follow this journey with Jesus.

The Lord told me.

He said, mike, I want you to do January, February and March, three

months, every single Sunday, journey with Jesus.

Of course, I've been preaching from locations in Israel, and now

we're simulcast around the world, which is amazing.

But we left Bethlehem, went to Nazareth, Nazareth to Capernaum.

And now we're at a very critical moment.

As a matter of fact, I think this is one of the most important

moments of Jesus entire life and ministry.

He goes up to the mountaintop and he teaches the Beatitudes.

And I'm just gonna tell you straight, we don't need another sermon

from another celebrity pastor.

Can I get an amen?

We need to hear from Jesus himself.

So what I'm gonna do is get out of the way, and Jesus is gonna

preach.

As a matter of fact, I'm gonna just speak the words of Christ himself.

And then I'm gonna break this down for you.

Are y' all ready?

Because with what's happening in society, with what's happening

in politics, with what's happening in the body of Christ right

now, if you've got a cell phone signal and a device, you know

that there's a lot happening.

We need the words of Jesus Christ like never before.

And so we're gonna just jump right in.

And there's such an expectation.

I wanna teach you, no matter where you're tuning in from, how

to create the pool.

You know what that means is when you put a demand on the anointing

and you say, God, speak.

I'm here to receive from you that anointing begins to flow.

We can create Nazareth environments where we don for anything.

Or we can create Capernaum environments where we say, God, for

with you, all things are possible.

So even in the next several minutes, you can create an atmosphere

in your home or right there in the Miami campus.

And you could say, God, I know that the impossible becomes possible

because something's stirring in my heart and the Lord's been dealing

with me and I've been looking at these scriptures and I'm like,

okay, it's time.

So if you're believing for something, just know that you are

in a kairos, you are in a divine appointment.

So we're gonna go through this.

Matthew, chapter 5, verse 1.

Matthew 5:1

If you have your Bibles, you can start there.

If you're taking notes, write it down.

Matthew, chapter 5, verse 1.

Matthew 5:1

It says, seeing the crowds, he went up.

So Jesus went up on the mountain and when he sat down, his

disciples came to him.

So Jesus don't miss this V1 church.

He didn't start his ministry in a palace.

He didn't start his ministry in Rome, which would have been like

the Washington D.C. the political epicenter.

He didn't start it even in the temple courts, which would have been

like a local church.

Jesus started his ministry up on a mountain.

That's important.

How many of you want to go up on the mountain with me today?

Come on.

So we're going to go up on the mountain.

Why?

Because a Jewish listener at that time would have understood that

Moses met God up on Sinai.

He went to up the mountain to meet God on Sinai.

Elijah met God on Carmel.

So Elijah the prophet summits the mountain and God meets with him.

And then Abraham met with God on Mount Moriah.

So as Jesus saw these crowds drawing to him, he would have went

up to the mountain and they would have said, wow, this is just

like Moses or like Elijah or like Abraham.

But Jesus was saying, no, no, I'm greater than those.

I'm the Messiah.

And he delivers this sermon that is regarded as the greatest

sermon to ever be preached.

That's why I'm saying we need to hear from him today.

And but this is the important part.

They were expecting a political ruler.

They were expecting that he was going to come and over Rome.

What he did instead was he said, God, your kingdom come, your

will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

And the Beatitude Sermon is like the, it's like the, the constitution

of the kingdom.

It's like he was saying, listen, Rome's going to pass away,

governments are going to fail, but there is a government that is

upon my shoulders that I'm bringing into the earth that is never

going to fail and it's going to last forever.

Come on.

I feel the anointing already on this.

So we have to understand the language of the Beatitude Sermon

because it is the constitution that governs this kingdom.

And he was not Coming as some guru about, you know, how to be successful,

how to build your personal brand and go viral, how to grow a

platform.

He was saying, this is how citizens of my kingdom are going

to live.

And it's incredibly profound.

So let me tell you who he was speaking to.

Jesus was speaking to the oppressed Jews under the Roman Empire.

They had a very difficult life under that Roman Empire.

He was speaking to the religious Jewish leaders who were

addicted to control, made people feel like they weren't good

enough.

He was speaking to poor people who were craving some sort of hope

for their life that.

That they could break out of all of this.

And he was speaking to disciples that were hungry for the

truth, and they believed him to be the Messiah.

And this is what he says.

He basically says, I'm going to take the system and I'm going

to flip the entire system upside down right now.

There is a system in the Earth, there's a system in America.

There's a system in Europe, in Africa and Asia.

And in very similar ways, we are born into these systems.

We're programmed.

And Jesus is coming to turn them upside down.

And it's important because the way that he talked is so different.

Follow me.

I'm gonna break down Matthew, chapter 5, verses 3 through 12.

Matthew 5:3–12

But let's just.

Let me give you just a little beginning here.

Blessed are the poor in spirit.

Blessed are those who mourn.

Blessed are the meek.

Okay, so I'm in graduate level Greek right now.

It is.

It is Greek to me.

It's.

It's very difficult and I'm learning.

But as I looked at this word in the Greek, blessed.

Cause, you know, we all say, hashtag, blessed life.

I'm blessed.

I'm blessed.

You know, the old school Fred Hammond crew.

I'm blessed in the city.

I'm bl.

Come on, y' all know, where are my old school people at?

But we.

We talk about living the blessed life.

So if you go back and say, well, what was the meaning of the

word blessed that Jesus used?

It means deeply satisfied, approved by God, and flourishing.

How many of you wanna flourish?

How many of you wanna be approved by God?

How many of you wanna be deeply satisfied?

So, but let me flip it, though.

Cause this is crazy.

Jesus says, hey, the people that you think are losing, when the

kingdom enters the Earth, those people are actually winning.

The people that you think are weak, when the kingdom enters, they

actually become powerful.

The people that you think are cursed, when the kingdom comes, they're

actually favored.

Oh, come on.

The people that the kingdom is the opposite of the way that we've

been programmed to think.

I don't know about you, but there's gotta be somebody watching

right now that can give God a 5 second praise break because they

were cursed, but then they were set free from the curse.

Come on.

There was a flip.

Come on.

God put down that uno reverse card on the devil and said, no, you

thought they were going to lose.

But the first shall be last and the last will be first.

It's a reversal.

Come on.

Can somebody shout unto God if they know what I'm talking about?

It was a divine reversal.

But when Jesus.

Come on.

When Jesus was teaching this on the Mount of Olives.

I'm sorry, the Beatitudes, when he was teaching this before

he went to the Mount of Olives, they didn't have a context,

they didn't understand what he was saying.

And because in their mind, you were blessed if you had a lot of

wealth.

But Jesus would say things like, what does it profit a man to

gain the whole world, yet you lose your own soul?

So he was constantly redefining what they thought was

success, and he was flipping it upside down.

So I want to go through the Beatitudes.

With me, with you right now.

Number one, poor in spirit.

This is probably the hardest one for me to understand.

And I spend a lot of time in prayer and deep meditation on this

one.

Matthew, chapter 5, verse 3 says, Blessed are the poor in spirit,

Matthew 5:3

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

And this was hard.

I'm like, what does it mean, poor in spirit?

Let me tell you what it does not mean.

It does not mean insecure.

It doesn't say, bless are the insecure.

It means the ones who are poor in spirit say, I know that I am nothing

apart from God.

He is the vine and I am the branch.

Apart from him, I am nothing.

Is there anybody who is poor in spirit?

Who knows?

I was lost, now I'm found.

I was blind, now I see.

And I know that I am nothing without him.

Isaiah, chapter 66, verse 2 says, this is the one to whom I will

look.

So if you want to get the eyes of God upon you, seven billion people

on the planet, this is how you do it.

It's the one who is humble and contrite in spirit.

What does that mean?

It doesn't mean contrite in the flesh.

It doesn't say the ones who look contrite.

It says, contrite in the spirit.

Why?

Because in the Catholic Church, everybody, they kneel at

the same time.

But not everybody surrendered in the Protestant church.

Everybody lift their hands during worship, but not everybody

surrendered.

It doesn't say that they look contrite.

It says they are contrite in the Spirit.

And the Spirit knows whether it's true worship or not.

And there's some people that go through the motions, but then

there's some other kind of people who say, no, God, I know that

I'm nothing without you, and I humble myself before you.

I'm spiritually bankrupt.

I've got no resume.

God, all of my degrees, everything I've learned, I counted

as nothing.

I'm a fool before you have your way in my life because your

ways are higher than my ways and your thoughts are higher than

my thoughts.

Come on.

Is there an old church mother who knows what I'm talking about?

When God comes in and messes up all your experience and does something

that defies all of what you thought could happen, there's something

about being poor in spirit.

No more spiritual flexing.

No more celebrities on the Internet.

No more celebrity pastors.

Just pastors who say, I'm dependent on him for every breath

I'm breathing.

Just pastors who know I can't preach my own opinion.

I gotta say, thus saith the Lord, according to scripture.

Come on.

And what happens is, this kills pride, Christianity, this kills

platform obsession.

This kills.

Look at me.

And kingdom.

People say, God, without you, nothing.

Come on.

Beatitude number two.

Let's pick up the pace.

Y' all ready?

Y' all ready?

Come on.

Beatitude number two.

Holy grief.

Matthew, chapter five, verse four, says, blessed are those who

mourn, for they shall be comforted.

I'll be honest, when I read this, I thought it meant those who

mourn a loss in their family, those who mourn over a divorce.

I mean, I'll just tell you straight up.

Prophets have been telling me every single year that it's gonna

be my year.

And I don't know if it's ever been my year yet.

Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

I mean, it's like I've been.

I just keep getting older, and I've never had an easy year yet.

Have any of y' all had an easy year yet?

I've never had an easy year.

And so we all have a reason to mourn.

We all have a reason to be sad to.

But.

But.

So I thought, well, blessed are those who mourn.

Well, we're.

By that definition, all of us would be blessed.

But that's not what it says.

Let's look at the text.

It says this.

Blessed are those who Mourn.

Look at the original language.

Not mourning, hardship, morning sin.

Second Corinthians, chapter 7, verse 10 says, Godly grief produces

2 Corinthians 7:10

a repentance that leads to salvation.

So this is brokenness over compromise.

This is mourning my sin.

It's when I stop being sad because I couldn't pay my bills.

I stopped being sad because I lost a loved one.

And I say, man, the real tragedy in my life is that Jesus

Christ died on the cross and I cheapened that grace by going back

to that sin like a dog goes back to its vomit.

And God teach me to mourn for my sin and break my heart for what

breaks yours.

And God teaches.

And I'm telling you, when you get into that place of mourning where

you say, God, I don't fully even understand why it's wrong, because

it feels so good.

But, God, I know you said I shouldn't do it, so break me over

this thing.

Then when that happens, you'll be blessed.

Because there's people who sin and they feel no remorse because

another verse says their conscience becomes seared with a

hot iron.

In other words, they continually and perpetually sin to

the point where God just turns them over to themselves.

It's the lack of mourning.

As a matter of fact, when the world reaches the highest level of

perversion, they celebrate their sin and build whole communities

with it.

But we do the opposite.

We mourn it.

And this kills some things.

You know, it kills casual sin.

It kills.

Well, nobody's perfect.

Christianity.

Listen, that sounds encouraging.

Nobody's perfect.

But that's not what the word said.

It actually says the perfecting of the saints, which means

we are going through a process called sanctification.

It's a refiner's fire.

And when I was a baby, I spoke like a baby.

But when I became a man, I put away childish things and I began

to talk like a man, and I began to stand up with integrity

and righteousness.

And I don't know about you, but I shouldn't be stuck on the same

cycles of sin the entire time.

The Bible doesn't say I go from pit to pit.

It says I go from glory to glory.

Is there anybody under the sound of my voice who says, I'm ready

to break a cycle, to start a righteous one, and this time I'm

going higher instead of going back down?

You know what I'm talking about?

Come on.

And the reason why it's important to say this is because

the church will say, well, nobody's perfect.

But Jesus will say, now go and sin no more.

How Many of you think we need to start sounding more like Jesus

if we're gonna be Jesus disciples.

The real encouragement is not nobody's perfect.

The encouragement is just one drop of that blood from the hill

called Calvary.

Once that blood washes you, once he regenerates you, once the

Holy Spirit convicts you, the truth of the word of God is whom

the Son sets free.

Come on, help me say it.

Around the world is free indeed.

And I'm just not gonna settle for partial freedom.

Beatitude Number three.

Come on, are y' all with me?

Are you hanging with me today?

Are you taking notes?

Beatitude number three.

Matthew, chapter five, verse five.

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Oh, the meek.

He's just shy.

He's shy around adults, you know, he's meek.

No, meekness is not weakness.

As a matter of fact, the same Greek word here for meek is the word

that they would use to describe a war horse.

So when they would saddle up horses and take them into war, horses

don't want to ride into war.

It's against their instinct.

But if they would submit to the rider and be willing to ride

into the flames, into the battle, into the sound of the clashing

of swords, they would say, this horse is meek.

What they were saying was they didn't say.

They wasn't saying, this horse is weak.

This horse is so submitted to the rider that it will go into an

area it doesn't want to go.

Here's my question to you.

Is that the definition of meekness over your life?

Are you so submitted to God that if he tells you to go into the

barrio of Brooklyn, if he tells you go into the filthiest part

of Manhattan, if he tells you to go to Gary, Indiana, if he tells

you to go, you say, God, ride me into battle.

I will do whatever you tell me to do, and I'll go wherever you tell

me to go.

Some of us won't even witness at the grocery store.

But we're asking God to put us at the conference.

No, no, no, no.

Let's start with the basics.

God, I'm submitted to you.

Come on.

And this is the thing, is watch how many of you wave at me

at every location.

If you've been reading your daily growth journal.

Come on.

I see you.

I'm looking, I'm making a list.

I'm checking it twice.

We just read last week in the daily growth journal that this is

what it says.

It says that wives are submitted to their husbands.

So the husband's over the wives.

Come on, Julie.

Say Amen, Julie.

Then it says that Christ is over the husband.

And then who does it say is over?

Christ.

God.

Come on, you just read that.

So it's God, Christ, the husband, and the wife.

That means that even when Jesus showed up, Jesus didn't go

on his own volition.

Jesus was sent by God, for God so loved the world that he.

Come on, you're getting it.

He sent his only begotten son.

So here's the thing.

Jesus didn't have a ministry.

Jesus was sent on behalf of God to do the will of the Father.

Even Jesus said, I don't do my will.

I do the will of my Father.

But you got Christians that just make their own ministry.

You got Christians who just decide they're gonna go do something.

No, no, no.

Even Jesus didn't do that.

Jesus said, this is not my will, it's his will.

He sent me.

So the real question, if you're meek, is who sent you?

Are you submitted?

Are you saying, God, I'll go when you tell me to go, and I'll

stay when you tell me to stay.

And so Jesus says In Matthew, chapter 11, verse 29, I am gentle

Matthew 11:29

and lowly in heart.

Now, he was gentle, but he'll fashion a whip and flip some tables.

Come on, somebody.

Because meekness is not weakness.

So even though he's saying, I'm gentle, I'm lowly in heart, I'm

meek, that he still gives them permission to flip tables when God

says it's time to flip tables.

Come on, don't get any ideas today.

So this kills outrage culture.

It kills the ego wars.

It kills the social media rage that we feel.

And you don't have to defend yourself because God defends you.

As a matter of fact, when Jesus was sent by God, he's like,

this is God's mission.

You think you're fighting me, but you're fighting God.

Some of you need to get that revelation.

If God sent you to do it, they think they're talking about you,

but they're putting their mouth on God's plan and God's person

for that plan.

And you better watch out.

Come on.

That's between them and God.

I gotta be a faithful messenger.

I gotta be faithful to do what he told me to do.

But listen, my obligation is obedience.

God's promise is defense.

Whoo.

Come on.

My obligation is I'm gonna be obedient.

But then his promise is that he's a strong defender.

And every.

Come on.

Every tongue that rises against us, he'll deal with it.

You Know, when I look at meekness, I see the question of submission

and look at beatitude.

Number four, hunger and thirst.

Matthew, chapter five, verse six.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for

they will be satisfied.

You know, there's two ways that you increase your hunger for

righteousness.

Number one is surround yourself by a ton of unrighteous

people.

Sometimes you get in an environment where those people are

so perverse and so evil that it just.

It literally makes you crave righteousness.

You know, it's like, man, I don't want to be like this.

Sometimes God gives us the mentors.

Not the ones we want, but the ones we need.

You know, I thank God that I was raised by an unrighteous biological

father because it made me want to be a dad to my children and a

husband to my wife that I never saw him be.

Listen, sometimes you don't.

Sometimes Moses needs Pharaoh, sometimes David needs Saul.

And God will give you the mentor you need to create a hunger

for righteousness and holiness.

The other way that it'll happen is you'll get around some

people who will pray.

And they don't tell you they pray.

But you know, they pray because the fragrance of heaven is

upon them and they're provoking you.

Even though they don't provoke you.

They're discipling you without words.

Is there anybody who wants to be that kind of person that you smell

so much like the secret place that you provoke people to pray even

though you don't tell them you pray?

Come on.

You can't lie about the secret place.

And this is so important, because blessed are those who hunger

and thirst for righteousness.

They're not just interested.

They're not just curious.

They're desperate.

They're starving.

God, I want to be different.

I want to be the bloodline generational curse breaker in my

family.

I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I can't do this anymore.

And once you get to that point, heaven begins to celebrate

and says, okay, they're ready to become righteous.

Some of you are there right now.

Come on.

Do you feel it?

Psalm, chapter 42, verse 1, says, As a deer pants for a flowing

Psalms 42:1

stream.

Or some of the old school folks, as a deer pants for the water.

So my soul longs for you.

I'll tell you what, this world is so broken, all I gotta do is spend

one hour on my phone, and it just makes me long for heaven, long

for eternity.

Sometimes you get so fed up with all these temporary pleasures

that you just begin to pant For God like never before.

And this kills lukewarm faith.

Sunday only.

Christianity.

Convenient discipleship because revival comes from hungry

people.

Beatitude number five.

Blessed are the merciful.

You know, Matthew chapter five, verse seven says, blessed are

the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

Forgiven people forgive people.

Say it with me across every campus.

Let me hear you loud.

Forgiven people forgive people.

Come on, let's practice it again.

Forgiven people forgive people.

As a matter of fact, there's a beautiful illustration in scripture

where a prostitute, a woman of ill repute, is washing the feet of

Jesus.

And they're like, who is she to do this?

And the response is, whoever is forgiven much, loves much.

And some people don't understand your worship.

They don't understand why you won't stop going to church.

But they were not forgiven for as many things as you've been forgiven

from.

Come on, can somebody just begin to praise God in their seat

right now?

Those who are forgiven much love much.

Oh, some of them can't understand why I worship so loudly.

But you don't know what he picked me up out of and put my feet

on a solid foundation and turned me around.

You have no idea how dark it was.

So don't judge my worship until you know my warfare.

Come on, this is powerful because we've got to learn how to

become merciful.

Matthew, chapter 18, verse 33 says, should not you have had mercy?

Matthew 18:33

Let me just tell you.

This kills.

Cancel culture.

This kills church bitterness.

This kills spiritual grudges because you can't receive grace and

then hoard it unto yourself.

One of the evidences that you've received grace is that you

want to give it to other people.

One of the evidences that you believe in a literal hell is you

don't want even your worst enemy to go there.

I remember one day I was driving my van, my wins, my 95 red

WinStar van down I65, headed to IU Bloomington, where I was a

college student.

And I got a revelation of this.

I had been studying the book of Matthew.

I was thinking about the reality of heaven and the reality

of hell.

I was thinking about the eternal.

And I started thinking about all the people who hurt me in life.

I started thinking about those who had abused me.

And something happened that never happened in my walk with Jesus.

I started to well up with such a compassion for them.

And I started to recognize that the Lord himself had healed

me and restored me and he was advancing me.

But I started thinking about them going to hell.

And I did something that I felt I was simply unable to do at

any other season of my life.

I started praying for them, and I said, God save them.

God save them.

Send messengers to them.

See, the Lord wants to take you 180 degrees different than cancel

culture.

Listen, Saul was the one killing Christians.

And God did such a work in his life that he's the very one traveling

the known world trying to build Christians up and encourage

them and help them.

See, God will do something in your life with the pastor that you

can't stand, the one that you thought hurt you so much, you'll

end up praying for them.

This is what I said when Jesus broke his system.

You can't act like other Christians because most Christians

don't act like Christ.

You got to go back to the book.

You got to go back to the Beatitudes.

You got to go up to that mountain and meet with him, because

he'll have you in a posture of surrender and repentance and forgiveness.

And guess what?

It's for your freedom.

You've heard it said before that drinking, it's like unforgiveness,

is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.

So what happens in Christ's way of doing things is everybody

starts getting free, and we need to become a merciful church.

The Bible says in the last days, they're going to be lovers

of self.

And the last days, their heart is gonna grow cold.

They're gonna be bitter people, belligerent people.

We're seeing that in the world.

We see it on the highway every day.

We see it in our commute.

We see it in the viral videos of the Karens.

And all these crazy people, just unhinged because what, we've

lost our compassion.

We've lost our love.

We lost our mercy.

We dehumanize people.

And what Jesus was saying is, to an ancient world, all of the people

that you throw away, all of the people that you walk past on

a daily basis, those are gonna be the people that inherit the earth.

Those are gonna be the people that go to the next level while you

get left behind.

And this message is like surgery on our heart.

Which leads me to Beatitude number six.

Blessed are the pure in heart.

Matthew, chapter five, verse eight says, blessed are the pure

in heart, for they shall see God.

Now, it's very simple.

Open up your phone, and you have an algorithm.

What is an algorithm?

It's the platform.

Learning what you want to see.

Come on.

I'm about to preach to somebody right now.

It learns what you want to see over time.

So your algorithm is a reflection of Your soul, it's a reflection

of what you want, what you want to see.

And there's this algorithm of heaven that said, blessed are the

pure in heart because they will see God.

Why?

Because when you're pure of heart, you don't want to be caught

up in church drama.

You don't want to be caught up in the Christian tabloids.

You don't want to be caught up in the he said, she said.

It doesn't.

None of that matters to you.

You're at the feet of Jesus.

You got your head on his lap, and you can hear his heartbeat, and

you can feel his breath on your hair.

You ain't got time for that other stuff.

You don't have time to be fighting over which one of the disciples

is the greatest, because you're with Jesus in fellowship.

And what I'm saying is, when you get to that place where everything

that's noble, everything that's pure, everything that's lovely,

when you set your mind, when you set your heart in those things,

you will see God.

And I'm saying this by the Spirit, and I want to mark this down

on video.

I was in prayer the other day, and I saw the statistics of social

media platforms plummeting, and the Lord began to tell me, I'm

drawing my bride in prayer.

I'm drawing my bride into a time of focus.

And you're gonna see people deleting and diminishing time on

mobile apps and structuring discipline around it, because they're

becoming pure in heart, and they don't want the world to begin

to poison their heart.

It's one focus, not a double life.

And you know, Psalm 24, verse 3 and 4 says, he who has clean hands

Psalms 24:3

and a pure heart, this kills secret sin.

This kills compartmentalized faith.

This kills hidden addictions.

Revival is stained by purity.

So it says, peacemakers.

Beatitude number seven, Matthew, chapter five, verse nine.

Blessed are the peacemakers.

It doesn't say, the peacekeepers.

Come on.

And all the codependent people said, amen.

Some of y' all are trying to keep the peace so much that you'll

never make peace.

Peace is made by confrontation.

Sometimes you'll be like, man, Mike.

He speaks in all kinds of stuff.

Mike's stepping right up into the.

Mike doesn't just acknowledge the elephant in the room.

He mounts up on it and rides it around the room.

Yeah, because I'm a peacemaker, not a peacekeeper.

Peacekeepers are.

Oh, I don't want to offend anybody.

Jesus offended people every day on accident, telling Them the

truth.

But the Bible says faithful are the wounds of offense, friend.

I'd rather be wounded by the truth than comforted by a lie.

Come on.

And we've got to learn how to become peacemakers, not peacekeepers.

This is a word for somebody.

Come on.

Is this helping anybody?

Romans, chapter 12, verse 18 says, if possible, live peaceably.

Romans 12:18

It says, as far as it concerns you.

Now, the key is, if possible.

There are some times where it is not possible.

You cannot make peace.

But there are many times where as far as it depends on us, I can

hold my tongue.

Come on.

Fresh and salt water can't come out of the same spring.

And sometimes we have to say, God, kill this tribal Christianity.

Kill this political idolatry.

Kill this division spirit.

Because sons look like their father.

Come on.

That's why this church across every campus and everybody watching

right now.

We don't do clicks.

We don't do clicks.

We are all one in the spirit, as the Bible says.

In the last days, I will pour out my spirit on all flesh.

Your sons and daughters will prophesy.

Your old men will dream dreams.

Come on.

This is a multi generational, multi ethnic.

This is male and female.

And I believe that as we come together in unity and we are peacemakers,

the Lord, it says we are going to be blessed and we will be called

sons of God.

Can somebody shout amen to that now?

We're almost done.

Beatitude number eight.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake.

This is Matthew, chapter 5, verses 10 and 12.

Matthew 5:10

Blessed are those who are persecuted.

Listen, real persecution.

I'm not talking about comments on Facebook.

I'm not talking about somebody don't like you at work.

If you truly live the words of Jesus Christ, somebody's actually

gonna hate you.

And I believe that real persecution is coming to the church.

Real persecution is coming to Christians even here in America.

John, chapter 15, verse 18 says, if the world hates you, come

John 15:18

on.

The world is gonna hate you.

Why?

Because you stand for something.

And I know many times things that I say are controversial.

Mike, what's your opinion on sexuality?

I'm here to tell you, I'm just the messenger.

I don't have the right to my opinion.

Whatever the word of God says about sexuality, that's what I say.

My opinion died a long time ago.

I don't have the fear of people pleasing or the fear of criticism,

but somebody needs to hear this message right now.

If nobody ever resists you, check your allegiance.

There are Christians that are trying to play every single side,

and you cannot have an allegiance to every team.

You got to show up for this roster.

Every military has an enlistment.

Every class takes role.

It's time for you to say, count me in.

I don't even understand it, but I submit to it, God.

Whatever you say is the truth.

And let everything else be a lie.

And you will face persecution.

And persecution isn't for celebrity pastors.

Persecution should be something we all face when we go

up into our local school system and say, yo, I need to have

a voice in this school.

Cause I'm not okay with what you're doing in this local school.

And by the way, this country was founded on Christian values.

And you're gonna have to respect my values just like the rest

of them.

There's gonna come persecution when you begin to rise up and you

begin to say, hey, this for me and my house.

We will serve the Lord.

There's gotta be a line that's drawn in the sand.

How many of you are willing and ready to draw that line?

Come on, now.

This is a prophetic turn right now as we close.

You know, Jesus was describing two systems the entire time.

And even though they thought he was talking about Rome, could

have very well been talking about America.

Great Britain could have very well been talking about North Korea.

These are systems created by man.

And these systems, all of them, they have this commonality

of promote yourself, protect your image, get revenge, chase comfort,

avoid offense.

That's that system.

But then the kingdom system comes, and this is what he prayed.

Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

But when that kingdom comes, a culture comes with that kingdom.

And it's the culture of die to self, stay pure, forgive, hunger

for God, endure suffering.

And you can't live in both systems.

You can't.

As a matter of fact, the evidence that you're trying to live

in both systems is that you're not hated by one of them.

Because when you make a stand, you will experience that persecution.

Matthew, chapter 6, verse 24, says, no one can serve two masters.

Matthew 6:24

It doesn't say we won't try.

It says we can't do it because we all try.

I think this journey of faith that I've been on is me slowly dying

and breaking through that system.

You know, I want to say this with.

With all sobriety.

Some of you are saved, but living like citizens of the wrong

kingdom.

And Jesus isn't calling you to church attendance.

He's calling you to citizenship.

In Philippians, chapter three, verse 20, it says, Our citizenship

is in heaven.

So this whole Thing is training for another dimension, training

for another realm, training for heaven.

In heaven, there's no sickness or disease.

In heaven, there's no fault finding and complaining and murmuring.

And so we need to begin to say, God, your kingdom come, your

will be done right here in my life as it is in heaven.

Come on.

If you're tired of shallow faith, if you're tired of compromise,

if you're tired and you're saying, God, I just want real Christianity.

I'm tired of just business as usual.

I want to come back to Jesus.

I want to surrender.

I want to be a real one.

Stand on your feet right now across every single campus, even

if you're at home right now.

Just rise up as a physical sign.

I'm sick and tired of compromise, and I want to fully surrender.

Come on, everybody, stand to your feet right now.

We're going to begin to do something that's going to be highly

unusual.

Come on.

Even as you begin to stand up in Miami, Brooklyn, come on, Northwest

Indiana, as you begin to rise up out of your seat, we're gonna

cry out.

And this, this is when Jesus was at that mountaintop.

There would have been some hungry disciples who were like, I

heard it.

There's something in my spirit that's saying, I'm ready for breakthrough.

But let me just tell you this.

You don't stay on top of the mountain.

Moses went up to the mountain, received the tablets.

Then what did he do?

He had to come down, and he began to face the people and confront

them and start the work.

Come on.

Elijah went on the mountaintop.

Then what did he do?

He had to come down off that mountain, and he had to begin the

work of ministry.

I don't know who I came here to tell this to, but after this message,

you're gonna come down off this mountain, and it's time for

you to begin to move into what God has for you.

You're gonna start now.

You're gonna begin to step in.

No more talking about it.

If God called you into politics, you need to prepare to

run for office, raise money, and get in.

If he told you to write a book, it's time to sit down and get

that manuscript.

We're coming down off this mountain, and we're going to begin

to move into the calling that God has.

Come on.

Is there anybody who believes that now is the time to shift in?

There's a shift that will happen.

You don't stay on the mountaintop to hear the Beatitudes.

Jesus was saying, I'm giving you a Choice.

Make that choice.

Come down this mountain and let's begin this thing.

And today you've been given a choice.

No more delay.

Some of the people who I feel the prophetic unction on this right

now.

Some of the people who tried to stop you in your younger years

are dead now.

What's your excuse?

Come on.

I feel the anointing on that.

Some of the people who used to talk about you, they don't even know

your phone number anymore.

What's your excuse?

It's time to step in and get activated.

They didn't stay up on that mountain.

They came down and he empowered them, and they begin to

do the work.

It's your time now.

So while you're on your feet right now, I want to ask that you

would lift up holy hands towards heaven.

Come on, lift them up right now if you want to do this.

And I'm gonna.

I'm gonna model a prayer for you across every location, and I'm

gonna.

I wrote this down, and we're gonna cry it out together.

And then I want you.

I want the worship team to begin to worship, and I want you

guys to lift up a sound, and I want you to just put those sacrifices

on the altar right now.

I'm gonna just cry out and I'm gonna give you permission.

The Bible says if we don't cry out, the rocks will cry out.

So I'm giving you permission.

In Brooklyn, get louder than they do on a Saturday night in that

club on a Sunday morning.

Come on.

In that old Lutheran building in Northwest Indiana.

Come on, get.

So loud those stained glass windows shatter because of your surrender.

Come on, let's lift it up.

Jesus.

Jesus, make me poor in spirit.

Jesus, break my pride.

Jesus, teach me to mourn over my sin.

Jesus, make me meek.

I submit to you, God.

Jesus, give me hunger.

Come on, church.

That's it.

Cry out.

Come on, call out to him.

There's no time right now for pretty prayers right now.

Fill me with mercy, Jesus, fill me with mercy.

Purify my heart, God, make me a peacemaker.

Lord, strengthen me to endure.

Come on, cry out to him.

Come on.

Call out to him right now.

Jesus name.

Come on.

Continue to worship.
