I am standing on the Mount of Olives.

And this mountain is, is not just scenery.

It's an actual spiritual threshold.

It's the place where heaven touches earth.

Literally where prophecy bends time and where Jesus revealed who

he really is more clearly than anywhere else.

From here you can actually see Jerusalem.

You can see the Temple Mount, you can see over my shoulder the

Eastern gate.

And every one of them is part of a divine pattern I'm going to

reveal to you in a few moments.

Nothing here is accidental.

This is an incredibly important message for you.

So I need you to lean into this.

You know, the name Mount of Olives is not just poetic, it is

prophetic.

Olives must be crushed in order to release oil.

I know you've heard that before, and oil in Scripture, here's

what it represents.

It represents anointing light.

It represents healing, consecration, and the spirit of the

living God.

Jesus did not pray his hardest prayers in the city.

He actually prayed them from here, right here.

Luke chapter 22 tells us that Jesus came to the Mount of Olives

as was his custom.

This was not a one time visit.

This was his place of perpetual return.

And just beneath this mountain is a garden called Gethsemane.

And actually Gethsemane means the oil press.

Before the cross, there was the crushing.

Come on.

And before blood flowed from his hands, sweat actually fell from

his brow like drops of blood.

This mountain reveals a truth that many don't want to hear, but,

but need to hear.

Glory is released through.

Come on.

I feel the power of God all over this message already because

we have a king who actually wept from this mountain.

Jesus.

He looked at Jerusalem.

And Luke chapter 19 says, and, and when he drew near and saw the

Luke 19 · chapter mention

city, this very view, he wept over it.

He didn't weep because he would be rejected.

He wept because they didn't recognize the time of their visitation

by Messiah.

I mean, Jerusalem knew scripture, they knew prophecy, they

knew religion, but they didn't know him.

They missed him.

And here is the warning of the Mount of Olives.

Prophetically, you can be close to holy things and still miss

the holy One.

I mean, Jesus did not weep over pagans.

He wept over the religious who were blind to what was really being

fulfilled right before them.

You know, as we continue to go deeper on this journey together.

I mean, this is so powerful because this mountain carries ancient

prophecy.

Zechariah, the prophet in the 14th chapter says, on that day his

feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies between Jerusalem

on the east.

I mean, that means something staggering if you understand, let

me unpack.

Jesus ascended from this very mountain.

And he will return to this mountain.

I mean, right here.

Acts chapter one tells us that as the disciples watched him ascend,

angels said, this same Jesus will come in the same way that you

saw him go.

Not symbolically, not spiritually, only physically, geographically

and historically.

Come on.

This should get you excited.

The Mount of Olives is the hinge of history.

It is the mountain of departure, the mountain of promise,

but it's also the mountain of return.

Come on.

And I say, lord, come quickly.

Return quickly.

And so I really feel that we are nearer than we've ever been.

And many people feel that it was here on this mountain that Jesus

delivered what we now call the Olivet disco discourse.

In Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, from this exact ridge, Jesus

was.

He spoke about the destruction of the temple, wars and rumors of

wars, deception, many false Christs rising up, global shaking,

the coming of the Son of Man.

It was all spoken and declared from this space.

This was not fear based preaching.

This was clarity in chaos.

Come on.

Jesus wasn't trying to scare his disciples.

He was trying to prepare them to anchor them.

And that's why he tells them in his own words, God, do not be

alarmed.

Come on.

In other words, when the world starts shaking, when the unprepared

are panicking, come on.

The prepared are ready to receive.

You know, the Mount of Olives teaches us that prophecy is not necessarily

about dates.

It's about discernment of dates.

And we must increase in our discernment spiritually.

And that's why I'm here right now.

Every major moment connected to this mountain is a choice.

It's you stand in the crossroads even watching this right

now.

Will you watch or sleep?

Will you discern or be deceived?

Will you endure or are you going to fall away?

Because Jesus says, watch therefore, for you do not know on

what day your Lord is coming.

Watching in scripture does not mean me just staring in the sky,

right?

It means living wide awake.

It means living with urgency, with holiness, and living with compassion

from the cross.

The Mount of Olives.

It confronts comfortable Christianity and it basically tells

us this is not a spectator faith.

This is a preparation faith, living in anticipation of him using

you to fulfill the Great Commission and lead the lost to the

cross at any cost.

Come on.

From here, you can see the eastern gate.

I mean, it's right over my shoulder and.

And it's been sealed shut for centuries.

Why?

You know, Jewish tradition says that the Messiah would enter

right through It.

And, and here's the staggering truth.

First of all, Jesus already did.

On Palm Sunday, he descended from this mountain, he crossed the

Kidron Valley, and he entered Jerusalem.

I mean, the gate is closed because history already recorded

its king.

And any attempt to stop it will not prevail.

And one day it's going to open again.

Supernaturally, I believe that God is going to fulfill that prophecy.

You know the Mount of Olive?

It's olives.

It sits between the city of man and the promise of God.

I'm speaking spiritually right now.

It truly sits between earthly power and heavenly authority.

I mean, this is where they collide.

It sits between rejection and return.

I mean, it's simply undeniable that Jesus chose this mountain because

it represents the in between.

And many of us, we actually, we live there.

We live in the in between, between promise and fulfillment,

between calling and cost, paying the cause, between pressure

and oil.

I mean, we live there.

And so there's a question that this mountain is asking you.

There's.

There's an important question for your life.

And Jesus, he stood here knowing that he was going to be betrayed,

that he was actually going to be beaten, that he was going to be

crucified, and still he stayed faithful.

I'm so thankful that he was faithful.

The Mount of Olives, it does not ask.

Do you believe it asked?

Will you remain?

Will you remain when it's crushing?

Will you remain when it's confusing?

Will you remain when the world is absolutely shaking all around

you because oil only flows when olives are actually pressed?

Come on.

We are in a season of great pressing right now.

But the oil of the anointing is going to be flow.

Come on.

He's going to flow from this mountain, Jesus ascended to heaven,

to this mountain, Jesus will return.

And until that day, we are called to live awake.

We're called to live faithful, and we're called to live full of

void oil.

Come on.

This reminds us history.

It's not random.

Suffering is not wasted.

And Jesus is not finished.

And if he was faithful here, he will be faithful again.

The king is coming back, and his feet will touch this mountain

once more.

Come on.

Do you believe that?

I'm getting so excited just even thinking about this.

Here's what I want you to do.

I want you in the.

In this, this moment of decision to say, I'm going all the

way.

I mean, this represents a decision that Christ made to say,

hey, while you were yet a sinner, I'm going to put my love

on the line.

And I'm Going all the way.

And because he went all the way, we can go all the way as well.

All the way to what?

All the way to our cross.

Dying to self dying to our selfishness and our own desires.

But guess what?

Those who share in his death also share in his resurrection.

Come on.

And, and as he returns, so shall we ascend with him.

So I want to pray right now.

Come on.

I just feel holy anticipation for what God is doing even through

this message right now.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for each and every one Lord that

as they've received your word Lord, that the prophecies will be

fulfilled and nothing was in in vain.

And God, I thank you for the crushing of our lives that reveals

the oil that begins to pour that causes us to break through every

obstacle barrier, Lord, to go all the way through what you've destined

for each and every one of us.

And Father, we thank you that the time is drawing near.

And so with anticipation God, we say that we will be your vessels

to fulfill the great commission until all the world has

heard in Jesus name, Amen.

Yes Lord, we thank you God that we will remain.

How many people are determined to remain in Jesus?

We're talking about crushing and we're talking about pressing.

And I know that it's not a popular message.

I would love to get up here and tell you that life is good, that

it's the Barbie movie, that we're just, you know, plastic feet

and.

Yes, and it's great and life is awesome.

Or the Lego Movie was that is everything is awesome.

Everything is great when you're part of a team.

What?

It's not like that.

But it really is a life, you know, you are.

Guess what, you're gonna suffer.

And guess what, if you've been to Walmart, you've suffered 55 times

before you've made it to the checkout counter.

No hate, no shade.

I love a good Walmart.

We don't have them in the city, but we're talking about crushing

and we're talking about pressing and there's so many things

that in life, you know, nothing is gonna happen.

Nothing good happens in life without a little pressure.

I mean the reason why victory is victory is because you went through

something.

I used to love going to like anniversary parties and seeing the

people, you know, they give their.

And by the way, happy anniversary to my in laws.

I didn't even think of that.

Come on, somebody love you back.

Don't be doing nothing weird or nothing.

Keep it chill.

Keep it chill.

But you know, I used to love going to different anniversary parties

through, you know, our family and church and all those things.

And, you know, you just see people crying cause they're cutting

the cake and then you get married.

And I used to think I'm a little hillbilly.

Used to.

I used to think that when they were crying, cutting the cake, it's

because they loved each other.

But now I know that they're crying when they're cutting the anniversary

cake because of all the perseverance, all the.

It's because no one gave up.

Because nothing good, nothing that means anything, has ever come

easy.

You don't celebrate the wins that are given to you.

You celebrate the things that crushed you, that you survived.

And so here's the thing, young people.

Where's my young people at?

Gen Z?

Gen Alpha is.

It's not always the Lego Movie.

Now with Jesus, we're more than a conqueror.

The fight is fixed.

You win, baby.

However, the thing is, is that you are going to go through suffering

and going back to marriage.

You would never pledge your life to somebody that you knew was

going to stab you in the back 55 times over the course of 30 years

or say that one little thing that just takes your blood pressure.

Mine is calm down.

What?

Who has ever calmed down when somebody has asked them to calm down?

If you say calm down, it's.

Take it up a notch.

I still need some redeeming here.

But nothing in life has come that we've celebrated that's meant

anything to us without pressure, without crushing.

And.

And I wish it was the case.

I wish that, you know, we could have this story where we accept

Jesus and then all of our trials, all of our troubles, all

the things that annoy us, all of our road rage.

Okay, maybe you guys are more sanctified than me.

I wish I could tell you it just all goes away.

And it.

And you're just submitted to your boss, you're submitted to your

pastor, you're submitted to your spouse.

You, you love your kids, you love your job, and everything is

awesome, but things come by crushing.

And so we see in the Bible many references to oil and to wine.

And I'm beginning to think about that and how both outcomes

respond to being crushed.

And so we're gonna talk just a little bit about that.

Oil and wine, back in biblical times, they were used for medicinal

treatments.

You see this in the story of the Good Samaritan.

It talks about how the Good Samaritan left oil and wine and medicine

and things for their wounds.

And it's just this beautiful picture of the gospel.

And you can read more about that on your own.

But number one, oil comes instantly.

That's why the anointing is so powerful, because it'll hit you out

of nowhere.

Oil already exists within the olives.

So if you didn't know, maybe you're young and you don't know.

Olives make olive oil, And buffalo wings are not made of buffalo,

But the oil already exists within the olive oil is pressed.

The olive is pressed, and the oil begins coming out immediately.

Oil represents the anointing.

It represents the Holy Spirit.

It represents God choosing and empowering someone for the work of

the ministry.

In Samuel 16:1st Samuel 16:13 Samuel, the prophet anoints David

instantly.

He was anointed.

It didn't mean that he was ready to step into the full office.

But the anointing happens instantly.

You cannot run from anointing.

You could try, but it's coming for you.

It's coming for you because God's called and anointed you for

something for such a time as this.

And here's the thing.

God can anoint you in a moment.

And if you think, well, I'm living a life, my life is just in

weakness right now, Julie, I don't know.

I don't feel ready.

I'm telling you, God can anoint you in a moment.

He can empower you at your weakest moment.

He chooses whomever he wants, and he anoints for service.

He anoints in prayer, and he anoints in encounters with God.

That's why we open up the altars and we say, come and experience

God.

Because you never know when the anointing is going to hit you

out of nowhere.

Number two.

So that's oil, but wine.

That also happens through crushing and pressing.

And here's the thing.

Oil is instant, but wine takes time.

It's the process of God.

Fermentation happens over the course of months, years, and decades.

And wine doesn't already exist in the grape.

It has to be crushed.

And then it must be fermented.

And it must go through a period of transformation over time.

Wine represents joy, covenant, maturity, character.

And we see this in the miracle.

How many know about Jesus when he turns the water into wine?

One of the beautiful stories I love about that particular miracle

is the miracle of acceleration.

He can accelerate your maturity.

He can accelerate your decision to have joy.

Did you hear me?

He can accelerate your maturity with submission.

He can accelerate your process with immediate obedience.

So you can ask God to mature You.

But the thing about process is it takes participation.

How many want to participate in the process of God in our life?

You don't get to choose the timing of the miracle.

Miracles need immediate obedience to be activated in your

life.

Here's the thing about the story.

When it talks about the miracle turning water into wine,

did the miracle happen in the vat or did the miracle happen in

the cup?

We don't know.

But either way, the miracle would have been missed without the

servant's immediate obedience.

So when you're asking, lord, what do I do?

My answer is, do whatever he tells you to do.

Do whatever he tells you to do.

As soon as he tells you to do it, do whatever he asks you to do

with full participation, obedience, and submission.

And say, I'm willing.

I'm obedient, and I'm okay with suffering.

I'm okay with being crushed.

I'm okay with being inconvenienced.

Lord, use me.

However long it takes.

Oil is instant.

The anointing is instant.

If you've ever felt it in a prayer service or you've ever felt

it in a moment of impartation, the anointing is free.

It doesn't cost you anything.

It's imparted and it's accepted immediately.

But process wine has developed slowly.

Sometimes we want the oil of a calling, but not the patience of

winemaking.

The olive and the grape are both crushed, but the oil is instant

and the wine is a process.

So if you're in a season of crushing right now, we need to take

a few moments to discern, am I releasing oil, or is this a process

of making wine?

God's producing something very valuable, very special in you, but

you have to respond immediately.

How many are going through something right now?

Just.

Just going through it?

Go ahead and just stand up.

You're just going through it.

You don't have to come forward.

Just stand up.

You're going through it.

Financial, emotional, relational, direction.

Divorce.

Maybe you're struggling with school, maybe you're struggling with

interpersonal relationships in your life, family.

Just going through it.

The thing I love about going through something with Jesus is that

you're not going through it alone.

And I love that story about the Good Samaritan, that parable

he tells.

It's humanity.

We are broken and beaten and bleeding on a road.

And Jesus comes with oil and wine, with anointing and commission,

with miracle and process.

And he meets us in our most desperate place, feeble time, not

able to do anything in return but to receive.

And so tonight, today, wherever you're watching wherever

you're at, if you say, you know what?

I'm going through something just out of an act of immediate obedience,

just like we're doing in the room, just stand up.

Stand up in your living room.

Stand up.

If you're, you know, on the subway, stand up.

If you're just going through at your job, just stand up.

Because at your weakest point, the crushing can produce an oil that

only he can use.

Who is God calling tonight?

Who is God calling right now?

The crushing, Man.

When you're going through it in your marriage, it can feel like

you are being crushed.

But at your weakest moment, the anointing can.

Can be released.

I've seen people through pastoring many years at their weakest

moment.

We've seen them in funerals, we've seen them in hospital rooms.

And I can't tell you how many times we've been in a hot around

a hospital bed and we start singing about the blood of Jesus

and the anointing will just start breaking out.

In a hospital room, the anointing will start breaking out.

At a funeral, the anointing will start breaking out after somebody's

husband just left.

The anointing just begins to break out because when the olive

is being crushed, the oil is immediate.

He's got you.

What is he trying to bring out of you?

And then we've got people who are in process.

Maybe you've just been sitting in the same season for so long, and

the Lord would say, let me produce something sweet in you.

Oh, yes, Lord.

Some of you have been fighting, fighting, fighting.

I remember when I gave birth to Everly.

I did a natural birth.

Whoa, mama, it was wild.

Don't recommend 0 out of 10 stars.

And I remember the midwife, she was telling me, julie, you're

fighting it, but it's going to happen.

And as soon as you release to the process, it will go so much faster.

And I feel like I'm here as a doula, as a midwife in your life

of somebody who you're going through a process.

And I just saying, surrender to God.

Let him lead.

Get your hands off of it.

Surrender to the process and see what he can ferment in this situation.

If you're under pressure, here's a couple of things that I

need to remind you as your pastor today.

It is not punishment.

Some of you have bought the lie that you are being punished by

God.

No, you have made decisions, maybe that had consequences in the

natural, but you are not being punished by God.

Here's another Thing that I need to remind you is that just because

you're under pressure doesn't mean you're not in process.

I need you to say this.

It is not punishment, it's process.

It's not punishment, it's process.

Here's the thing.

Here's a couple of people in the Bible, because a lot of times

we can.

So now that.

That's for my process people, but for my people who maybe experience

this instant, you know, power of anointing, maybe at the men's

conference, you felt a call to the ministry, or maybe you were at

a youth.

A youth night and you felt a call to the ministry.

Or maybe you're sitting in your seat right now and you're like,

God, I know you're trying to do something in me.

Is this helping somebody tonight?

But here's the thing.

Just because you're anointed, but God, I was.

You called me to.

To teach and preach.

And I've been sitting in this church for a few years, and I haven't

been on the platform yet.

Listen, anointed doesn't mean ready.

I want to read to you at just a few people people.

Joseph, 13 years.

Moses, 40 years.

David, 15 years.

Joshua, 40 years.

Jesus, 30 years.

Just because there's a waiting after the anointing does not mean

that God isn't processing you.

It's not punishment.

It's process.

They don't see me.

They don't see my anointing.

No, no, no, no, no.

This isn't punishment.

It's process.

Some of us are more focused on the wounds than the process.

We're more focused on the crushing than the anointing.

We're more focused on the suffering than what God is going

to produce on the other side of this.

And today, I would just encourage you to lift up your hands

and just say, lord, I surrender.

I'm done fighting.

I'm done fighting the anointing.

I'm done fighting the process.

I'm ready to surrender.

Fully, fully, fully.

In Luke 10:34 with the good Samaritan, it said that he sent him

Luke 10:34

and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine.

The crushing is not pointless, Jesus.

Time.

Being crushed, persecuted, accused, was not pointless.

It was forced our redemption.

Second Corinthians 4, 8, 10, it says, we are afflicted in every

way, but not crushed.

Perplexed, but not driven to despair.

Persecuted, but not forsaken.

Struck down, but not destroyed.

Always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life

of Jesus also may be manifested in our bodies.

You have the life of Jesus in your body.

If you're suffering in sickness, you have the life of Jesus

in your body.

If you're suffering in your mind, you have the life of Jesus

in your body.

Stand to your feet and receive the healing and the anointing that

he has for you.

You might be afflicted by infidelity, but you're anointed for

reconciliation.

Did you hear me?

You might be afflicted by addiction now, but you're going to

be anointed for freedom.

You might be afflicted in your body with fear of death, but you're

anointed for a resurrection.

There's power in the anointing.

There's power in the pressing.

There's power in the cross crushing.

You just have to respond with a yes.

Affliction cannot stop anointing.

Suffering cannot stop anointing.

And so I want you to make up in your mind that on the other side

of this sermon, you are in full surrender.

Stop fighting the pain.

That's what my midwife told me.

You better surrender, girl, because there is a new birth on the

other side.

And so what I would tell you today, if that's you, and you say,

man, Julie, I. I am suffering and I need a breakthrough.

My reminder to you is you are not suffering.

You are in process.

And this is not a punishment, it's process.

How many want to respond to that process?

If that's you, we're just going to open up this area for just

a couple of minutes, but come quickly.

If that's you and you say, I need to respond.

I cannot live under this pressure.

Hallelujah.

Hallelujah.

Hallelujah.

Hallelujah.

We rebuke every lie of the enemy that says that our suffering

is in vain.

We rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells us that our affliction

is in vain.

We rebuke every lie that says we are being punished, that says

that God is mad at us.

We rebuke every lie and we say that the crushing has a purpose,

that there's purpose in the pain, that we surrender to the process.

And, Lord, right now, lift up your hands.

Come on.

Lift up your hands.

Lord Jesus, we surrender to your way.

We surrender to your plan.

God, we are not fighting the pain.

God, we're not fighting the pain.

Lord, we surrender.

We surrender.

We surrender now.

Come on.

You just have to surrender.

Lord Jesus.

Worship is gonna come up out of me.

Worship's gonna come up out of me.

I'm not gonna curse God and die.

Worship's coming out of my suffering.

Worship's coming out of my infidelity.

Worship's coming out of my almost divorce.

Worship's coming out of my.

My rebellious kids.

Worship's coming out of me.

Come on.

I can't do it for you.

I can't ask God for you.

You got to use your own voice.

It's too quiet in here for people who are fighting.

Come on, release that word.

What are you fighting for?

You think the enemy is just going to give it to you?

No.

There's got to be a worship song, a worship cry out, God, we

surrender.

We surrender.

Come on.

I hear some people really asking the Lord.

Come on.

There's some people that are getting some victory in here.

For those who are watching online right now, I just want you

to just ask the Lord, God, I'm done fighting for some of you, you

even have clenched fists.

I would even say, open your hand.

Release it, release it, release it, release it.

Some of you have been clenching your jaw, fighting, fighting,

fighting.

The Lord would say, release now in Jesus mighty name.

Even things that have manifested itself like an as, like

TMJ and stress, like a clinch.

It's like everything about you is fighting.

The Lord would say, release, release, release, release.

God, we decree healing all over this room, all over this room

right now.

Healing in Jesus mighty name.

For those who are suffering in marriage, there is a great anointing

tonight for reconciliation.

I really feel that because that's an.

An oil that has come off my life.

And so right now, for those who have said, I'm giving up, this

is the last day, Lord, I pray that there would just be such a passion

for reconciliation.

I'm not talking about people who are in dangerous situations.

I'm talking about just being done, Lord, right now.

I just pray that you would give them perseverance, God, new

mercy, new grace for another day.

And Lord, Lord, we just pray that the oil of reconciliation would

just begin to flow.

Flow, flow, flow, flow, flow, flow, flow, flow, flow, flow, flow.

Lord, I pray God that they're just even faith renewed for people

who are believing for prodigal children, I really believe that.

Come on.

There's a special anointing.

There are children that are far from God, and it's almost like

you've made peace.

Well, that's just who they are.

No.

Fight, fight, fight.

No.

We decree and declare their salvation.

We decree and declare that they will serve the Lord, not just

casually, but passionately serve the Lord.

And so right now, right now, join our faith.

For every prodigal, we decree and declare them to come home now.

In the mighty name of Jesus.

God, we thank you, we thank you, we thank you.

Hallelujah.

I feel like in this next few minutes that there's going to be

anointings that are going to be released specifically in the area

of a call to ministry.

Ministry.

Now remember, anointing doesn't mean ready.

Anointing means that you say yes to the process.

So right now if you said, Lord, I just, I felt like there's

been a call to ministry on my life.

We're just gonna ask the Lord just to impart an anointing for ministry.

Specifically, what I feel is street evangelist, street evangelism.

Street evangelism, that's what I feel.

I don't know if that's for somebody here or somebody who's watching

online, but specifically for street evangelism, if that's you

and you say, I want to be anointed to preach the gospel till

all have heard right now.

Lord, I thank you for every person that wants to preach the gospel

on the streets.

And Lord, we decree and declare.

Declare.

We pray for anointings to be released now in the name of Jesus.

Hallelujah.

Hallelujah.

Hallelujah.

The next thing that I want to pray for is for people who have,

and this is like very specific, but people who used to

pray in tongues but haven't been able to pray in tongues in a

long time for whatever reason.

You just, it's, it's spiritual, it's been bound up.

The enemy has been trying to like tighten your tongue and the

Lord wants to loose it tonight.

I know that's really, really specific, but is there, is there

anybody here who said, yeah, that's me.

Like I, I grew up in church and I.

And, and okay, so there's a few of you.

So right now, Lord, I just pray.

Let's all just begin to pray in our prayer language.

Lord, I pray that you would lose their tongue now in the name

of Jesus and that the Holy Ghost and fire would be released

on them right now in Jesus mighty name, loose their tongue now

in Jesus name.

Specifically somebody who used to pray in tongues in secret.

I don't know if it was like not accepted in your home or in your

church, but it was like a secret thing.

The Lord is loosing your tongue right now just out of faith.

Just begin to pray in your prayer language.

If you're watching online or you're here in the room, just begin

to loose that tongue right wherever you are.

If you're on the church treadmill, loose it.

If you're on the subway.

Loose it.

I also feel like tonight that there is going to be a renewal for

the Great Commission.

Now, this should be every single person in here.

Now, we all have different gifts and callings, but our primary

call as a believer is to the Great Commission.
