  1. I will have to really look at my notes because this sermon was

  2. not written, it was given.

  3. This sermon was divinely given.

  4. My hand could barely keep up as the Holy Spirit was revealing

  5. this.

  6. And so I'm going to be looking at these notes because something

  7. was divinely given.

  8. How many of you feel the importance of the hour that we're

  9. in right now?

  10. And we feel the significance of it.

  11. Do I have any Esthers and Mordecai's here?

  12. Do I have any Deborahs and David's here and Moses here?

  13. Do I?

  14. There's something about the time God has assembled an army for

  15. such a time as this.

  16. You know, it was funny.

  17. We've got our kids in service, and I love watching the families

  18. worship together.

  19. There was a young boy that came up to my wife and he said, Ms.

  20. Julie, I really need to talk to Pastor Mike.

  21. It's very important.

  22. And, you know, know.

  23. She said, well, honey, what.

  24. What.

  25. What do you need to talk about?

  26. Talk to Pastor Mike about, you know, yeah, sure.

  27. What do you.

  28. And he goes, it's very, very important.

  29. I need a meeting with him.

  30. It's urgent.

  31. And.

  32. And she said, well, you know, well, we're here to pastor you.

  33. What do you need from.

  34. From Pastor Mike?

  35. And he said, I need the WI fi password for v1church.

  36. It's.

  37. So.

  38. Son, I want to tell you, you are correct in your assumption that

  39. I'm the only one as the founding lead pastor who has the

  40. WI FI pass.

  41. And I'm gonna tell you what I told to my staff.

  42. You're not getting the password, so you're gonna have to

  43. sit here.

  44. You're not.

  45. Listen, I look like Super Mario, but you can't play Super Mario.

  46. You gotta be here in service.

  47. Cause the word of God's good for the 2 year old and for the 20

  48. year old and for the 90 year old.

  49. And we all need the word of God.

  50. So as.

  51. As my mama told me in church, you better sit up and act like you're

  52. paying attention.

  53. You're not.

  54. There is no WI FI in here tonight.

  55. And the church said, Amen.

  56. All right.

  57. The title of this message is the King of the Jews.

  58. The King of the Jews.

  59. You know, the devil comes to steal.

  60. Come on, help me, saints.

  61. To steal, to kill and destroy.

  62. That's John, chapter 1010.

  63. However, Jesus said those words because afterwards he reminded

  64. us.

  65. But I came.

  66. Come on, finish it with me.

  67. That you made have life and life more abundantly.

  68. I don't care what's happening in Mayor Mondani's office in New

  69. York City, you can celebrate Ramadan, but we're celebrating Easter.

  70. We're going to have our day too.

  71. The devil came to kill, steal and destroy.

  72. But Jesus came that we may have life and life more abundantly.

  73. I don't care what the diagnos looks like.

  74. Come on.

  75. There's a Lazarus.

  76. That God will take stage four cancer and turn it around for his

  77. glory.

  78. I don't care what it looks like.

  79. Come on.

  80. And so when we think about kill and destroy, the crucifixion

  81. happened because this was a battle for power and for authority.

  82. And quite frankly, they did not want to receive Jesus Christ

  83. as the authority of over their life.

  84. They didn't like the idea of him being in charge of their life.

  85. He didn't like the idea.

  86. They didn't like the idea of him ruling over them.

  87. And then, much like the story of Joseph in the 37th chapter of

  88. the book of Genesis, you know his jealous brothers.

  89. I know none of you on Long island have jealous family members.

  90. This is only a biblical problem.

  91. I know nobody watching in Indiana right now has jealous family

  92. members, but Joseph had jealous brothers.

  93. That there's this murderous spirit behind the jealousy that caused

  94. them to concoct a plan to throw him into a well.

  95. You know, just like in Genesis chapter four, you have Cain and Abel

  96. who does not want to receive the fact that because of the purity

  97. of heart of his brother.

  98. Think about what I'm saying.

  99. That his brother offered something before the Lord that was

  100. pleasing, and the Lord accepted his sacrifice and his offering,

  101. but not Cain's.

  102. I mean, think about what I'm saying.

  103. It's much like the children of Israel who celebrate Moses when they're

  104. being delivered from slavery, but they're complaining when they

  105. continue to get that same meal of manna in Exodus chapter 16, verse

    Exodus 16 chapter mention

  106. verses 2 and 3.

  107. You know, isn't it funny how people flip the script on you?

  108. Can I just speak ghetto for a little while?

  109. I know I gave you a lot of scriptures right now.

  110. Can I preach from the streets?

  111. There's some people that love you because they know that payday

  112. is on Friday.

  113. And come on, somebody, they don't seem to want to hang out with

  114. you on Thursday.

  115. Matter of fact, there's some people that have addictions that

  116. are your best friend when your addiction helps subsidize and their

  117. addiction.

  118. You know what I'm trying to say?

  119. There's some people that will turn up with you, but they won't

  120. be with you when you're down and out.

  121. There's some people that'll show up on the mountaintop, but they're

  122. nowhere to be found on the valley.

  123. Come on.

  124. There's some people that'll call you when.

  125. They've got a problem, but don't call.

  126. Them when you got one because they are too busy to pick up the

  127. phone.

  128. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

  129. Jesus was surrounded by people who wanted a healing but didn't want

  130. the healer.

  131. Jesus was surrounded by people that they wanted.

  132. Deliverance cast a demon out of me, but they don't want the deliverer.

  133. There's a lot of people that they want your hand, but they don't

  134. want your face.

  135. Am I talking to anybody right now?

  136. And behind that spirit of jealousy is actually a spirit of

  137. murder.

  138. And we know that the evil one comes but to kill, to steal and destroy.

  139. And so we battle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities

  140. and powers and rulers in high places.

  141. Which is why we pray for our friend Mom Donnie, that he's going

  142. to convert from Islam to Christianity and he's going to participate

  143. in the revival that he can try to stop, but it's going to happen

  144. anyways out here.

  145. I mean, you might as well bend your knee on this side, because every

  146. knee will bow on the other side.

  147. You might as well choose to join us now, because everybody's

  148. going to join us in worship later.

  149. Come on.

  150. And so when we look at this Palm Sunday, we just celebrated together.

  151. Many of you, tens of thousands of people tuned in for the message.

  152. You know, these people were celebrating Jesus, but when they

  153. realized that he wasn't going to be the king that they desired,

  154. when it was going to be not a political king, but a spiritual kingdom,

  155. that same spirit, that murderous spirit behind Joseph's

  156. brothers, behind Cain, behind the complaining children of Israel,

  157. begin to rise up to kill Jesus.

  158. And the lesson is that we can kill the very thing that we're supposed

  159. to become.

  160. Did y' all catch that?

  161. There's something about all of us.

  162. I want to make this sobering is that there's a tendency, if we're

  163. not careful, that we end up killing the very thing that we're

  164. supposed to become.

  165. The lesson that we can learn here is that we should become like

  166. Joseph.

  167. The brother should have heard Joseph prophetic dream and went to

  168. God and said, God, can you give me a dream, too?

  169. And instead of being inspired by his dream, that they weren't inspired

  170. to become more righteous, they were inspired to jealousy, to become

  171. murderous.

  172. We end up killing the very thing that we're supposed to become.

  173. Are y' all following me and become like Abel, who gave God a

  174. legitimate.

  175. Tithe without a preacher preaching the tithe.

  176. The thing that came to him was, I should give God what's first.

  177. I should give God what's best.

  178. And he gave this thing.

  179. And so what happened is Cain should.

  180. Have became like Abel.

  181. But we kill what we're supposed to become.

  182. Become like Moses.

  183. Believe that God can use you with a speech impediment, with fear

  184. gripping your heart, but still obedient to the call.

  185. But we want to turn on Moses and we want to kill the very thing

  186. that we're supposed to become.

  187. And so these men are examples, but they come, they become martyrs.

  188. Think about Jesus, become like Jesus.

  189. 100% submitted to God, 100% serving, giving, forgiving.

  190. But we have the tendency to kill the very thing that we're supposed

  191. to become.

  192. So the verdict above Christ head, it reads this phrase in multiple

  193. languages we see in Mark, chapter 15, verse 9.

    Mark 15:9

  194. Pilate says, Will I release to you the King of the Jews?

  195. He uses that phrase, the Bible says in the book of Mark.

  196. Because he knew that the chief priests had delivered Jesus over

  197. for envy.

  198. Can everybody say envy?

  199. This is the root of what we're dealing with on Good Friday.

  200. And even Pilate began to discern the that they really turned

  201. Jesus, an innocent man, over because of their envy.

  202. Instead of coming to Jesus to say, I see the way that you preach

  203. in power.

  204. I see the way that you lay your hands on the sick and they recover.

  205. I've heard that you raised a man named Lazarus from the dead.

  206. I know that demons obey you.

  207. I've heard the stories.

  208. Can I become your disciple?

  209. They end up becoming his murderer.

  210. This is the thing that grips our hearts when we give way to envy.

  211. It says this in verse 10.

  212. For he knew that the chief priests had delivered Jesus for this

  213. reason.

  214. And so to understand Good Friday, you have to understand three

  215. things.

  216. Number one, the war over true identity.

  217. You have to understand the war over true identity.

  218. Jesus was mockingly called the King of the Jews.

  219. But how many of you know that not only is he the King of the Jews,

  220. but he's the King of the Americans?

  221. And the King of the Canadians and the King of the Europeans.

  222. He's the King of all kings.

  223. And so it was a true statement.

  224. How many of you know the devil will mock you with only half of the

  225. story?

  226. Come on, somebody.

  227. Mike Signorelli was a drunk.

  228. Oh yes, that's true.

  229. But finish your sentence, devil.

  230. I didn't stay drunk.

  231. The Lord sobered me up, delivered me from addiction.

  232. And I raised up an army of former addicts to break the chains

  233. of darkness.

  234. And my testimony became their testimony, too.

  235. Finish your sins.

  236. I'm not just the king of the Jews.

  237. I'm the king of all kings is what Jesus knew.

  238. Come on, somebody.

  239. But the devil will mock you with half of the story.

  240. You're divorced.

  241. Well, finish the story, devil.

  242. My husband is going through a process right now, and I'm about

  243. to be remarried.

  244. And God's going to restore me and he's going to pray over me and

  245. love my kids like they're his own.

  246. And I see a future and a hope.

  247. Come on, finish your sentence.

  248. Is there anybody here who believes in divine, supernatural

  249. healing in the physical body?

  250. Come on.

  251. When they said to him Lazarus was.

  252. Dead, he said, he's just taking a nap.

  253. He's sleeping.

  254. Because Jesus said, I'm gonna define it the right way.

  255. You call it death, I call it a nap.

  256. See, there's something about how God will redefine your situation.

  257. But this declaration is made over the crucifixion.

  258. The king of the Jews.

  259. You've got to understand the war over true identity number two.

  260. That war produces envy.

  261. People will hate you like you're an author.

  262. Because the devil knows that you're going to become an author.

  263. And he will fight you for what you're going to become before you

  264. become it.

  265. It's easier to crush a shell than it is to let that thing hatch

  266. and grow full size.

  267. Let me put it another way.

  268. It's easier to crush a seed than to chop down a tree.

  269. And some of you could never find.

  270. Out why they fought you before you.

  271. Ever did anything significant.

  272. It's because sometimes the demons inside of.

  273. Them know how to read a seed.

  274. I wish you heard me in Indiana.

  275. He knows how to tell what you're become.

  276. And he'll try to crush a seed so he doesn't have to chop down a

  277. tree.

  278. Some of you are like, why is the devil attacking my finances?

  279. Because he knows that you're going to be the lender and not the

  280. borrower.

  281. He knows that you're a river and not the reservoir.

  282. He knows that you're actually generous.

  283. And God gives seed to the sower.

  284. He's fighting for what you will become.

  285. The devil fought a baby called Jesus knowing that that baby wouldn't

  286. stay a baby, but would grow into a man that terrorizes his kingdom.

  287. How many of you know that spirit of Herod is still trying to

  288. kill our babies in America?

  289. Because that demon knows what a baby will become.

  290. Oh, I'm preaching today.

  291. I'm preaching.

  292. This the last sermon you ever hear.

  293. It's going to be a good one.

  294. Let me tell you.

  295. This is same ancient demons in new days.

  296. Do y' all hear me?

  297. And number three, envy turns into the ultimate plan of Satan to

  298. steal, to kill and destroy.

  299. And the sign over Christ had said, the King of the Jews.

  300. And it's true.

  301. Joseph's dream.

  302. It was true.

  303. Somebody say it.

  304. It was true.

  305. Think about what I'm saying.

  306. Abel's generous offering.

  307. It's true.

  308. It's acceptable before God.

  309. Moses, deliverance of the people out of slavery in Egypt is

  310. true.

  311. But their lives are threatened by people who deceive themselves

  312. about who they really are and what they really do.

  313. Let me just break it down like this, because this is kind of like

  314. the pivot point.

  315. When you look at Luke chapter 23, verse 39, Jesus experiencing

    Luke 23:39

  316. the Roman form of execution called crucifixion.

  317. He's hanging between two common criminals.

  318. And there's this dialogue that begins to happen on the crosses.

  319. And what happens In Luke chapter 23, verse 39 is the one criminal

    Luke 23:39

  320. looks at him and says, if thou be Christ, save thyself and us.

  321. What I never noticed before is that that request sounds eerily similar

  322. to Palm Sunday, Jesus, deliver us.

  323. Now they're waving their palms around.

  324. So as long as we get something from Jesus, we will give something

  325. to Jesus.

  326. So the man that's hanging on the.

  327. Cross next to Jesus says, if you are the Christ, save yourself

  328. and save us.

  329. So his acceptance of Jesus as the.

  330. Messiah is contingent upon what Jesus does with for him.

  331. But how many of you know that's not real worship?

  332. Don't you remember the story of Job?

  333. Everything's taken from Job, and God allowed Satan to do it because

  334. he said, I know Job, and you can take everything from him and

  335. he will not curse me.

  336. Everything gets stripped away from Job.

  337. And he famously says, the Lord gives, the Lord takes away.

  338. But blessed be the name of the Lord, though he slay me.

  339. Yet while I praise him, my worship is not because of what he

  340. he's done for me.

  341. My worship is because who he is.

  342. I am submitted to him, whether I like him, whether I agree with

  343. what he does.

  344. My submission is not contingent on what he gives me, what

  345. he does for me.

  346. It is simply because he is God and I am not.

  347. And there are some people that need a reminder that you are not

  348. God.

  349. Come on, y' all hear what I'm saying.

  350. Some people need a reminder you are not God.

  351. And what happens is, Lord, I don't understand your ways.

  352. I wouldn't have done it that way.

  353. I wouldn't have put myself in that family.

  354. I wouldn't have put myself in that city.

  355. I wouldn't have put myself in that year.

  356. I wouldn't have done that.

  357. But God shouts back, get down on your knees and worship me.

  358. Because my ways are higher than your ways.

  359. My thoughts are higher than your thoughts.

  360. And.

  361. And, son, Daughter, I'll give you wisdom.

  362. And only when you look backwards will you know that I am

  363. good.

  364. Only when you look backwards will you know that I took what the

  365. enemy meant for harm and worked it all together for your good.

  366. You can't see it now, but one day you're going to look back and

  367. you're going to know that I'm better than you could ever imagine.

  368. Somebody praise him for five seconds, if you know what I'm talking

  369. about.

  370. Hallelujah.

  371. I can hear you all the way from Brooklyn.

  372. Hallelujah.

  373. Sounds just like that Palm Sunday crowd.

  374. Praise him one day, crucify them the next day.

  375. I'm telling you, I ain't going to be one of those Christians.

  376. I don't know about you, but I made my mind up.

  377. I am submitted to him, and I'm.

  378. Come on, anybody with me.

  379. I'm walking that narrow road, you know?

  380. Verse 40, it says.

  381. But the other answered.

  382. Now watch.

  383. It's a dialogue between thieves.

  384. Think about what I'm saying.

  385. The other one hears what he's saying and he goes, wait a second.

  386. Hey, we deserve this.

  387. We're supposed to be here.

  388. We got caught.

  389. We're evil men.

  390. This is what he's saying.

  391. But this man next to us, he's not like us.

  392. He's innocent.

  393. We deserve this.

  394. But he didn't deserve this.

  395. This is the dialogue happening on the cross.

  396. And then the man looks to Jesus and he says, son of God, when

  397. this is all over, will you remember me?

  398. Jesus looks at him dying on the cross and he says, I'm gonna

  399. make you a promise.

  400. You ever realize that in order to speak to him he had to turn his

  401. face from him?

  402. And all of a sudden he says, tonight you'll be with me in paradise.

  403. The man that couldn't have taken himself off of the cross to

  404. give him the offering.

  405. The man who couldn't have taken himself off the cross to serve

  406. at his local church.

  407. He could offer Jesus nothing.

  408. But the only thing that Jesus requires is a confession that I am

  409. a sinner and you are the Savior.

  410. Remember me.

  411. This is the gospel.

  412. This is the message of the entire Bible is that you are infinitely

  413. more evil than you could ever comprehend, but that he loves you

  414. more than you will ever understand.

  415. And then what he'll do by His Spirit is he will regenerate your

  416. dead spirit and you will come alive through Christ.

  417. And if you share in death, you will share in resurrection.

  418. And Easter will not just be a celebration of what happened to Jesus.

  419. It'll be a celebration of what happens to everybody who is in Christ

  420. Jesus.

  421. And we will be joined together with our fathers and our grandparents

  422. and our.

  423. Cousins and everybody who confess, I am a sinner, but you are

  424. the Savior.

  425. Wash me with that blood.

  426. The resurrection is not just what happened to Jesus.

  427. It happened to him first.

  428. But then all of us will rise one day with him again and we will

  429. celebrate that not only is he risen, but I'm risen with him.

  430. Is anybody excited about that glorious day that's been promised

  431. to you?

  432. People miss this, but the thief on the cross, he did something

  433. that many people don't do.

  434. He owned his own sin.

  435. He refused to be self deceived.

  436. He didn't try to justify himself.

  437. Jealousy and envy was refused.

  438. See, there's something about this man.

  439. I think he's much more important than we recognize.

  440. And while everyone was killing the very person that they should

  441. become, he looks towards Jesus and says, remember me.

  442. I mean, Good Friday is when we search for our own inside of our

  443. own hearts, for our own envy and jealousy.

  444. Good Friday is when we stopped justifying and we started knitting

  445. something so powerful about that.

  446. I'd rather be with an honest sinner than a lying preacher.

  447. And Jesus would too.

  448. He was called a friend of sinners.

  449. He probably found that they were humble than the Pharisees and

  450. Sadducees who thought they were right but were self deceived.

  451. And we know this is true because they killed what they should

  452. have become.

  453. This is what we do.

  454. And Good Friday is when we become like Jesus.

  455. And instead of attempting to crucify him over and over and over

  456. again, when we go back to the sin that we explain but never exterminate.

  457. When we read the Bible, Good Friday causes us to ask the question.

  458. I want everybody to pause for a moment, close your eyes while I

  459. say this, to remove all distractions across every location

  460. and everybody watching at home as you read the Bible.

  461. What if for a moment on Good Friday, you assume that you're not

  462. Joseph, you're one of Joseph's jealous brothers?

  463. Maybe you're not able.

  464. Maybe you're Cain getting away on the bare minimums but the Lord

  465. discerns your heart.

  466. Maybe you're not Moses.

  467. Maybe you're murmuring like the children of Israel.

  468. And maybe you're not Jesus yet.

  469. You're the thief who's already been caught.

  470. But I want you to open your eyes again.

  471. I got an encouraging message for you on Good Friday.

  472. Just like that thief hanging next to Jesus, you're not dead yet.

  473. There's still time.

  474. I don't know who I'm talking to.

  475. Maybe your family forced you to come to this service.

  476. Maybe you are flipping through YouTube and you just thought that

  477. you randomly turned this message on.

  478. No.

  479. God sovereignly and divinely brought you to this message so that

  480. you would hear this moment right now.

  481. There's still time.

  482. Just like that man who was hanging next to Jesus.

  483. He was actively being crucified, but he wasn't dead yet.

  484. And I don't know who I need to tell this to right now, but God has

  485. brought you to this moment of decision because you are not dead

  486. yet.

  487. There's still a decision to.

  488. To.

  489. To be made.

  490. And.

  491. And what you can do is you can actually apologize to Joseph instead

  492. of throwing him in a well.

  493. You.

  494. You can prepare a.

  495. A true offering before the Lord, like Abel did instead of killing

  496. him.

  497. And you can lift up Moses weary.

  498. Hands instead of complaining to him.

  499. And you can confess that you're a sinner to Jesus Christ.

  500. And you can say, jesus, I don't even know why I'm in this church.

  501. I don't even know how I didn't burst into flames the second I walked

  502. in Jesus.

  503. I don't even know why I'm watching this on YouTube.

  504. I don't even know that I can actually be a Christian.

  505. But remember me, because in that moment, the verdict of your

  506. life will change as the judge come on.

  507. And the oh, I'm talking to somebody.

  508. And the lawyer named Jesus argues you a different case and says,

  509. I would have paid in full every single sin, every single failure.

  510. I provisioned it.

  511. And I say, innocent, not guilty.

  512. Not because of what you've done.

  513. Because when I was hanging on the cross, I said, it is finished.

  514. That's who I came here for.

  515. Today, the verdict of your life changes in the assignment of

  516. the evil one.

  517. To kill, to steal and to destroy is broken.

  518. And Jesus said, I came to give you life and life more abundantly.

  519. That means life without depression, life without anxiety,

  520. life without addiction, life without lust and perversion.

  521. Life and life more abundantly.

  522. Not when you get to heaven, but because he's bringing heaven

  523. down here into to earth.

  524. He said, on earth as it is in heaven, some of you, your home feels

  525. like hell, but heaven can come into your home.

  526. Right now, I'm talking to somebody watching from the hospital

  527. right now.

  528. The Holy Spirit is quickening me.

  529. You're laying in that hospital bed and you're saying, lord, what

  530. can you do?

  531. And I send the word through that screen right now.

  532. Just say, rise up in full health in Jesus name.

  533. And I pray for every sick person watching right now, saying,

  534. God, are you done with me?

  535. If you're not dead, you're not done.

  536. Get up.

  537. He's healing somebody right now.

  538. Hallelujah.

  539. The verdict will change when you give him your life.

  540. Jesus replied with a promise.

  541. And this reveals why it's called Good Friday.

  542. With the King of the Jews hanging over his head, he says this,

  543. tonight you'll be with me in paradise.

  544. He was the king of the Jews.

  545. He is the king of the Jews.

  546. He's the king of all kings.

  547. He's the king over cancer.

  548. Come on.

  549. I'm talking to somebody.

  550. He's the king over mental illness.

  551. He's the king.

  552. Come on.

  553. He's the king of all kings.

  554. And so what we're gonna do right now in this moment is stand

  555. to our feet across every location and every home.

  556. If you don't have communion at home, I dare you to go get some crackers

  557. or some bread.

  558. He said, for as often as you do this, do this in remembrance of

  559. me.

  560. What does that mean?

  561. It means that we can do this now.

  562. If you have some bread, if you have some juice at home, I want you

  563. to get these elements ready.

  564. And I want to bring us to the conclusion of this time together.

  565. The power of God flows through communion.

  566. Communion is a reminder that when I break bread with Judas, when

  567. the very one that's going to betray me is in the room, he can

  568. kiss me, and I kiss him back.

  569. Matter of fact, the last words that Jesus said to Judas was friend.

  570. He called him friend because he said, it's not personal.

  571. I know my plan.

  572. I feel confident in Jesus that even when people betray us, we can

  573. say it's not personal.

  574. He's just mad at the God on the inside of me.

  575. Come on.

  576. I think probably you would like me, but the God on the inside

  577. of me is a offensive to your carnal flesh, and it's not personal.

  578. Jesus calls Judas friend the very last time they interact.

  579. And I don't think Jesus ever lied.

  580. I think Jesus was saying, I'm a friend to you even if you're not

  581. a friend.

  582. To me.

  583. How many of you know that when you've got Jesus on the inside of

  584. you, the world can use you, they can abuse you, they can reject

  585. you.

  586. And you say, well, I'll still be a friend to you because the only

  587. thing you can't do is say, stop me because you never started

  588. me.

  589. The only thing you can't do is cancel me because you never called

  590. me.

  591. Jesus was confident that he was going all away.

  592. He was going to be seated at the right hand of the Father.

  593. And some of you need to grow in confidence that they can talk

  594. about.

  595. You, mistreat you, abandon you.

  596. They can do everything but stop you.

  597. And communion is a reminder that I can break my.

  598. But is this what Jesus said?

  599. I'm going to break my body.

  600. You can eat my flesh, you can drink my blood.

  601. And the only thing that's going to happen to me is I'm going

  602. to rise and be seated at the right hand of the Father.

  603. See, some of them thought that they.

  604. Were taking advantage of you.

  605. No, you're becoming more like Jesus.

  606. You can't take advantage of me.

  607. Take what you need, but I'm headed to higher heights and deeper

  608. depths in him.

  609. Can somebody say amen?

  610. So Good Friday is a promise to.

  611. Us that we don't stay down.

  612. It's a promise to us that we.

  613. Might be hanging with sinners, but we're going to be seated with

  614. the Father.

  615. It's a promise to us that the way you see me now ain't gonna be

  616. the way I always look.

  617. Check back in with me, Jesus said, because in a couple days, you're

  618. not even going to be able to recognize me.

  619. Matter of fact, I'm gonna have a glow up.

  620. All the way up from hell, I'm gonna have a glow up.

  621. They didn't even recognize Jesus walking in their midst because

  622. he had a glorified body.

  623. Some of you need to look in the mirror and say, jesus, take me

  624. from glory to glory.

  625. Some of you been through hell.

  626. Now it's time to go all the.

  627. Way up to heaven.

  628. It's time to go to your next level.

  629. There's gonna be some people that have to do a double take.

  630. I thought I knew them.

  631. Oh, yeah, you knew this, that version.

  632. Of me, but I don't stay that version.

  633. I was just going through that.

  634. That was not my final destination.

  635. This is the story of Good Friday.

  636. We are journeying with Jesus.

  637. And if Jesus gets glorified, we get glorified.

  638. If Jesus.

  639. Come on, somebody.

  640. It's not our final destination.

  641. I'm Just passing through.

  642. Only reason I'm going down to hell.

  643. Jesus said, I'm preaching to the prisoners and I'm gonna release

  644. them from chains.

  645. And.

  646. And he goes into the lowest part of hell and sets all the captives

  647. free.

  648. And I don't know if you know this, if you read your Bibles.

  649. When Jesus was resurrected, so were the saints with him.

  650. Oh, I'm talking to somebody.

  651. Is there anybody who believes that this is not your final destination?

  652. They saw you at your lowest.

  653. And you said, God, why didn't you remove them from my life?

  654. He said, because I needed them to stand, stay, so they can watch

  655. you win.

  656. I needed them to stay.

  657. They saw you at your lowest.

  658. I needed them to stay to watch you win.

  659. You win not for your glory, but to prove that he's God, to prove

  660. that he's a way maker, to prove that he's a healer, to prove

  661. that he's a provider.

  662. Not for my sake.

  663. I'm talking to a single mother right now.

  664. I'm talking to a working man that decided to live for Jesus.

  665. I'm telling you, when you make a decision for Jesus, you made a

  666. decision for your own resurrection, for his glory.

  667. So.

  668. Oh, I feel the power of God on this one.

  669. So I want you to take your cup, I want you to get it ready.

  670. You got me sweating up here.

  671. You guys wore me out.

  672. But let me tell you, I feel we're on the precipice of a very

  673. historic event together.

  674. Where's Bella?

  675. What year was it when they would strategically light up the

  676. skyline in Manhattan?

  677. 1956.

  678. It is now 2026.

  679. And they can put the most heinous, vile depictions of monsters

  680. in the skyline of New York City, where, you know, where we live.

  681. We have a full view of New York City skyline.

  682. And I've been appalled to see them light up the windows of the

  683. buildings to create the face, the very edifice of a demon.

  684. But they won't put the cross.

  685. It's not anti Muhammad, it's not anti Buddha, it's not anti Krishna.

  686. It's Antichrist is the spirit.

  687. They were antichrist 2000 years ago.

  688. That's why they killed him.

  689. But see, what happened is when you killed Christ, you mobilized

  690. an army because Peter went from forsaking Jesus to becoming

  691. one of the greatest apostles.

  692. And this movement, it started with 12, grows to millions.

  693. Millions become billions.

  694. And it may sometimes feel like all the odds are against us.

  695. I know it's hard in Miami, Florida.

  696. I know it's hard on Long Island.

  697. I know it's Hard in Chicagoland.

  698. And sometimes it could feel so isolating.

  699. I look at the young people, generation Z Gen Alpha to feel like

  700. the odds are against us.

  701. You go to school, you tell your your friends that you're a Christian.

  702. What are your Jesus freak, you know, it's Antichrist.

  703. But how many of you know the tide is turning?

  704. How many of you feel something in the atmosphere?

  705. Because see, whenever the majority becomes a minority, whenever

  706. things become impossible, I mean, you got to walk up to the Red

  707. Sea and he doesn't split it before you get there because that

  708. wouldn't require faith.

  709. He waits until it's impossible.

  710. This is the pattern over and over and over again.

  711. Joseph gets a dream, but the dream seems impossible.

  712. How am I going to fulfill this dream?

  713. From prison I had a prisoner send me a check for A$47 because

  714. he watches my sermons from prison and said, I want to give God

  715. the best offering I can give him because I didn't do it while

  716. I was on the outside.

  717. I told him, when you get out, you come to V1 church and give Papa

  718. Sigs a hug because God's got a hope and a future for you.

  719. But when it seems impossible, think about it.

  720. The Lord says, for with God, come on.

  721. Some of you know it.

  722. For with God, come on.

  723. There's some of you know, some of you know it.

  724. Say it louder with your own voice.

  725. For with God all things are possible.

  726. All things.

  727. So right now we have to believe that we are the revival generation.

  728. We have to believe that we are the ones that are actually going

  729. to turn the tide.

  730. We have to believe that Maranatha Christ come quickly.

  731. But he's returning for a bride without spot or blemish.

  732. He's working out the wrinkles.

  733. That's what this is.

  734. This.

  735. So take a look at this wafer if you're at home, take a look at

  736. the bread, the crackers, the juice.

  737. This is his body, this is his blood.

  738. But let me explain what covenant is as we prepare to pray.

  739. Covenant is you lay down your life, so I'm gonna lay mine down.

  740. Covenant is you led by example and I will follow you.

  741. Instead of killing what I should become.

  742. Watch this.

  743. I am the living sacrifice and I will die so that I can become like

  744. you.

  745. Do you see the flip God?

  746. I'll die.

  747. I'll die to my self will.

  748. I'll die to my own plans.

  749. I'll die to my own thoughts and Lord.

  750. See, this is J. Joseph got a dream.

  751. But that dream was only possible when he dies.

  752. Moses got a dream.

  753. It didn't even happen at 40 years.

  754. But he's got to die.

  755. Come on.

  756. There's something about, you've got to go through that process.

  757. And when we look at these elements, what we're accepting is,

  758. lord, I'm dying.

  759. That's what happened to Job.

  760. Job said, this didn't work out like I planned.

  761. I had a different plan.

  762. I can't control it though.

  763. But the Holy Spirit gives you self control.

  764. And he says, but the one thing I can control is what comes out of

  765. me.

  766. And it won't be curses, it won't be complaining.

  767. It's going to be worship.

  768. So some of you, you can't control your spouse, you couldn't

  769. control control your kids, you can't control your city.

  770. But you say holy Spirit, I have one option left.

  771. What comes out of me now will be worshiped.

  772. It will be surrender.

  773. It will be sacrifice.

  774. I will choose.

  775. Only thing I can do.

  776. Come on.

  777. I will choose to worship you.

  778. The thief hanging on the cross said, it would appear if I have no

  779. options.

  780. But I have one option left.

  781. I can worship Jesus.

  782. Remember me.

  783. That was the only thing that mattered in that moment.

  784. So if you're watching, if you're here in the room and you want

  785. to surrender your life to Jesus, I want you to say this with

  786. me.

  787. Paul said, don't even take communion without being in right

  788. standings with God, lest you turn this into poison.

  789. Why?

  790. How does it become poison?

  791. Because it just becomes religion.

  792. It becomes another dead tradition.

  793. No.

  794. We have revelation.

  795. We know that his presence is here with us in this moment.

  796. And we want to become like him.

  797. So I want you to say this with me across all of our seven campuses

  798. and everybody at home.

  799. If you want to step into that full surrender, full obedience, say

  800. this with me.

  801. Heavenly Father, I thank you for the cross.

  802. Remember me.

  803. I believe that you are the King of all kings.

  804. I believe you are the Savior.

  805. I believe you are Messiah.

  806. Forgive me of all my sins.

  807. Sins.

  808. Wash me with your blood.

  809. Father, I thank you.

  810. When you said, it is finished.

  811. It is finished.

  812. I can't earn it.

  813. I'll never deserve it, but I receive it.

  814. Full adoption.

  815. I am your child.

  816. Your body was broken so that my body can be made whole.

  817. Your blood was poured out so that I would be free.

  818. And whom the sun sets free is free indeed.

  819. I am free.

  820. I am free.

  821. I am free.

  822. Jesus name.

  823. So I want you to take this one wafer that represents his body.

  824. Before you take it, I want you to understand that this is not a

  825. piece of his body.

  826. It is his whole body.

  827. If your eyes need to be healed, you will receive his body

  828. for the healing of your eyes.

  829. If your back needs to be healed, if your body needs to be

  830. healed.

  831. I'm telling you, we have had hundreds of people write our church,

  832. write our ministry and say, I did communion with V1 church and

  833. my body was healed.

  834. I'm believing that we are going to experience supernatural

  835. healings right now.

  836. That's what this represents.

  837. When you receive his body, think about the genetic code.

  838. He was 100% God and 100% man.

  839. So what happens is when you receive his body, you receive the

  840. genetic code.

  841. Of God to reward wire the fallen.

  842. Nature of your flesh.

  843. And I believe you can be made whole right now in this moment.

  844. So before we take this, let me pray for physical healings according

  845. to your faith.

  846. You've been made whole, Father, from the top of their head

  847. down to the very soles of their feet, somebody's being healed

  848. in their tongue.

  849. I don't know why.

  850. There's a condition in the tongue, somebody's tongue.

  851. There's specifically a condition that's being healed right

  852. now in Jesus mighty name.

  853. I pray right now for someone's shoulder that it would be healed

  854. right now.

  855. The cartilage, the tendons, the bone, that it would be healed

  856. right now in Jesus mighty name.

  857. I. I pray for spines right now in the name of Jesus.

  858. Degenerated discs be made whole right now under the sound of

  859. my voice, in Jesus name.

  860. Somebody has a foot injury that is not healed.

  861. And God is getting ready to heal your foot right now.

  862. And you're gonna walk home healed in Jesus name.

  863. And somebody at a physical campus, I see your foot is gonna

  864. be healed right now in Jesus name.

  865. Wow,.

  866. Jesus, let's take this bread, this body together.

  867. As we get ready to take the cup.

  868. The Holy Spirit wants me to tell somebody you have forgiven your

  869. enemies and I'm well pleased with you, but you still not have

  870. forgiven yourself.

  871. And as you get ready to receive, forgive yourself, daughter.

  872. As far as the east is from the west, I have separated your sin and

  873. I remember it no more.

  874. Forgive yourself, son.

  875. I'm talking, I'm speaking on behalf of God right now.

  876. This is called the prophetic.

  877. And I hear the Lord saying, you've forgiven everybody but yourself.

  878. Forgive yourself, son, for I have forgiven you.

  879. As a matter of fact, there's somebody struggling with alcoholism.

  880. And as you take communion, the Lord says, that'll be the last time

  881. that you struggle with alcoholism.

  882. If you take communion, the blood is getting ready to go on the

  883. inside.

  884. And heal that trauma from your past and heal all that pain.

  885. See, what I love about communion is it's the external going

  886. internal.

  887. It's getting on the inside of you.

  888. And there's somebody that's about to be free.

  889. I have to be obedient.

  890. There's somebody watching right now that has an opiate addiction.

  891. I don't know if it's pills or if it's heroin.

  892. I don't know what it is.

  893. But I heard the Lord saying, as you're taking communion, he is

  894. going to heal you and restore your body.

  895. But I hear him giving you a warning.

  896. He's saying, go and sin no more.

  897. It's time to seek out help.

  898. It's time to get that filth out of your body.

  899. It's time to.

  900. You've been saying, God, I want a new beginning.

  901. He's saying, child, I'm opening up the door, but go and sin

  902. no more.

  903. The Lord's given somebody a strong warning right now.

  904. Do not go back.

  905. See, what this means is no turning back.

  906. When Jes.

  907. On Good Friday, Jesus was saying, no turning back.

  908. Can somebody say that with me?

  909. No.

  910. No turning back.

  911. Before we take this cup, I got one more warning.

  912. Warning.

  913. I'm talking to probably many people, but there's specifically

  914. somebody out of the love of the Father, and this is an unmarried

  915. person.

  916. The.

  917. The Lord warns you about a relationship.
