In the name of the glorious Trinity, Father and Son and Holy
-
Spirit, forever Amen. Glory be to the everlasting
-
mercies which sent you to us, O Christ, the light of the world
-
and the life of all. Give us wisdom by.
-
Your law and enlighten our impulses by your knowledge,
-
sanctify our souls by Your truth, and grant that we may be
-
obedient to your words and may fulfil your commandments at
-
every hour. O you who?
-
Enlightens the rational with the knowledge of Your greatness.
-
Do enlight, O my Lord, our thoughts, that we may meditate
-
upon Your holy and divine Scriptures at all times, O Lord
-
of all, Father and Son and Holy Spirit.
-
Forever. From Acts chapter 16, verse 19.
-
And when her masters saw that the hope of their business was
-
lost, with her power, they seized Paul and Selas, and beat
-
them, and brought them to the marketplace.
-
And they brought them before the soldiers and the city
-
magistrates, and said These men are Jews, and they create
-
disturbances in our city, and they preach customs to us which
-
are not lawful for us to accept and practice, because we are
-
Romans. And a large crowd gathered
-
against them. Then the soldiers stripped them
-
of their clothes and gave command to scorch them.
-
And when they had flocked them severely, they cast them into
-
prison, charging the jailer to jailer to watch.
-
Them carefully. He having received the charge,
-
brought them in and put them into the inner Chamber of the
-
prison and fastened their feet in stocks or bondage.
-
Let's let's stop there. Now we know that the the story
-
goes of the young lady who's crying out and maybe not through
-
the demon. The demon didn't say anything
-
wrong. The demon was saying these are
-
men of God. They are preaching the way of
-
salvation. That is true.
-
But you know, we learned that we do not heed to demons.
-
We don't. And and we, we brought some
-
examples. You don't entrust your property
-
to a thief. You don't believe a murderer
-
talking about the preciousness of life because the person is a
-
murderer unless the merchant is repented and, and what have you.
-
So now we see that she wasn't alone.
-
She was actually working. She was making money.
-
She would foretell the future, right?
-
And she was making money and the through the demon making money.
-
This is a business. So we see that her master's or
-
her parents maybe now that the demon was exposed and expelled,
-
go to any length to take revenge.
-
You know, today it's the same thing happens when exposed.
-
We put up a fight regardless of how far it goes.
-
That's the norm today. When you are confronted with
-
facts, exposed, debunked factually, when you're hurt
-
financially with truth, fact and at times common sense, you go to
-
another level, right? We don't fear man, we don't fear
-
God. We don't respect God and we
-
don't respect man. So we go to any level, but when
-
the the key to it is to fear the Lord, because when you fear the
-
Lord and you have been exposed, you have been corrected, you
-
have been rebuked, then you will take it on board.
-
You'll either examine it or accept it.
-
But when there's No Fear of God and you have been corrected, you
-
go to another level because then there's no shame.
-
Because there's No Fear. No one will have shame unless
-
they have the fear of the Lord. When we are convicted because of
-
our evil, our vile, our wickedness, or just wrongness,
-
if there's such a word, we resort to ignorance, sometimes
-
stubbornness and arrogance. But that doesn't help, and
-
indeed, truly it doesn't help when we are stubborn after being
-
exposed, after being corrected, debunked factually, evidently,
-
and we go to another level to take revenge through arrogance,
-
ignorance, stubbornness. It doesn't help us, Beloved,
-
that's actually quite foolish, quite foolish.
-
You know, maybe during these episodes, you've heard something
-
from the scriptures, you've heard a, a statement and you
-
know, it's exposed you, your conscience has, has started to
-
convict you. What have you done?
-
Have you, have you switched off your radio or your, you've,
-
you've, you know, logged off out of what is it Spotify?
-
And that's, but that's not correct.
-
That's not right. That's not helping you.
-
Or have you then finished listening to the episode and
-
then prayed that the Lord will help you examine your life and
-
your soul and where you stand in regards to that specific point
-
that you've heard that is convicting you, and then begin
-
the process of repentance and and reconciliation?
-
That's great. You know, when there is
-
conviction of faith, Praise God. If you have the conviction,
-
sorry. When there is a conviction of
-
the soul, a conviction of the conscience, praise God.
-
You're in a good place. But when there is no conviction,
-
that's where you're in a bad place.
-
And we need to pray that the Lord will help us heed to our
-
conscience. It's foolish to be arrogant and
-
ignorant when you receive good counselling.
-
Proverbs chapter 12, verse 15. The way of the fool is beautiful
-
in his eyes. You see things right, according
-
to your own understanding, maybe according to your greed, pride,
-
evil, but maybe it's not that way, that way in the eye of God
-
and in the eye of man. And he goes on to say he that
-
listens to counsel is wise. You know, a wise man takes the
-
counsel of many, you see, in the place of the master or her
-
parents, maybe her masters, the masters of this divinator who
-
told the the the future in place of this man or these people
-
acknowledging the fact that the power of the true God in the
-
name of Jesus Christ has overcome the demon and which who
-
and they they obviously thought he was a God.
-
They thought these demons were God.
-
She's doing it by the power of God.
-
Well, right now, at this moment, in the name of Jesus Christ,
-
Paul and Selas have proved exposed that this is not a God.
-
It's evil, it's demon. Now, in place of acknowledging
-
that, in place of acknowledging the failure of the power of this
-
idol, God working through his employee, the girl, in place of
-
stopping and thinking what happened?
-
How is it that in the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ, in
-
the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ, two names,
-
how is it that this demon has been abolished, obliterated,
-
right? What do they do?
-
They start to stir the pot between the Jews and the Romans,
-
as if it wasn't enough that they had an animosity, hatred between
-
one another, right? This is what we do.
-
Sometimes we need to stop and think when someone tells us
-
something. We all go through this problem.
-
This is this is a weakness we all have.
-
Stop and think about it. It may not seem that correct.
-
You know, there have been times in my life, just as a testimony,
-
that I've convinced myself that these are the facts of this
-
matter and I've stood by them very strongly, firmly,
-
steadfastly. Time has gone by and then you
-
start really thinking about it in depth.
-
That is when I've been rebuked that you know what, no, that's
-
right. I was so focused.
-
I was so focused on what I thought was right.
-
I couldn't, I couldn't see, I couldn't understand, I couldn't
-
acknowledge. I couldn't even ponder on what
-
someone else was saying. You just say that.
-
No, that's, that's not the way it is.
-
But there comes a time you know they, and this is through
-
experience. This is through living with the
-
word of God and living with God and committing to God's God's
-
Holy Spirit, which is the conscience to allow to, you
-
know, rebuke you and and wake you up.
-
So at times we don't take vengeance, just wait and
-
acknowledge the fact. Sometimes there are facts.
-
It's a fact. You cannot deny it.
-
You know, you see people arguing freedom of speech, freedom of
-
choice, freedom of dialogue. Amen to that.
-
Praise God. And by the way, God gave that.
-
It wasn't a government that's given us freedom.
-
The government doesn't give you freedom.
-
Actually, no, no, no they don't. Let's go back.
-
Let's not go there. It's freedom.
-
Liberty is from God. OK, We're discussing a point.
-
We're arguing. We're we're not agreeing.
-
That's fine. We're not agreeing, right?
-
Be it abortion, be it homosexuality, be it same sex,
-
be it by gender, be it financially, be it religion,
-
politics, you know, educate, whatever it may be.
-
Philosophy. OK, there is a difference.
-
Let's talk now when you dialogue, you're putting your
-
point of view and someone else is putting now when there are
-
facts proven facts in history and then you just can't you
-
can't go against that. Why do we then resort to
-
swearing, throwing the F bomb and flipping the middle finger?
-
Why? Why do we walking away and and
-
effing this? I'm sorry, but I'm why do we do
-
that? Why?
-
You know why that's foolishness. That's because you know you're
-
wrong as a as opposed to saying, you know, I didn't think of that
-
way. I still don't agree with you.
-
Let me go back and do more research.
-
Let me go back and think about it.
-
But beloved, when you have thought about it, when you've
-
come to that conclusion that this is right, what do you do?
-
You need to change. You need to begin to change.
-
This fool shouldn't have stirred the pot.
-
He should have soon the facts. Look at the facts, see, look at
-
the facts, understand and then start.
-
What is this world? Maybe this God?
-
If this God can be rebuked and obliterated in the name of one
-
man, Jesus Christ, he should have turned around.
-
The right thing to do was to say, who is this Jesus you are
-
preaching? No, he stirs the pot between the
-
Jews and the Romans. He switches to revenge.
-
Unrighteous revenge. Violence, assault.
-
Dragging them. He actually put his hands on
-
them and the crowd put their hand on.
-
This is assault, right? Today.
-
Don't touch me. Don't touch me.
-
Oh, you touched me with your nail.
-
This is assault. I'm calling 911.
-
Right. Quick.
-
What's the number for 911? As said, Homer Simpson, right?
-
It was an assault, dragging them.
-
How violent was that? Saint Paul and Selas were
-
dragged in the marketplaces and then they misled the magistrate,
-
the lawyers saying these men are troubling our city because they
-
are Jews. So that's racist.
-
So race, look at this racism. This is this is the year 10,
-
maybe AD9, 5AD These men are Jews.
-
They are causing trouble, right? Look at the contrast between the
-
the demon that was in this girl and the evil businessman, this
-
con artist who's making money through this evil false God.
-
The demon report referred to Paul and Selas as servants of
-
the Most High. This man, this con says they are
-
disturbing our city. The demon says they are
-
proclaiming to you the way of salvation.
-
How did the demons know this? Well, demons are the angels, the
-
fallen angels. Well, the Angel knew Jesus and
-
the angels saw Jesus. He knew, but this man didn't.
-
This con man said they are advocating customs that are not
-
lawful for us to adopt. You know, sometimes maybe it is
-
worthwhile to listen to a person who is not in the right, you
-
know, is not agreeing with you. Sometimes maybe it's even good
-
to, you know, take heed to someone who you know, maybe has
-
no relationship with God, you know, maybe does not read the
-
Bible much, you know, doesn't attend the church much.
-
And this is this goes for me too.
-
Just take heed. I'm not saying agree with take
-
heed and not follow the footsteps, but what they say is
-
true. What the demon was saying is
-
true, but then the demon wasn't holy.
-
That's why the demon wasn't doing it for the right mode.
-
That's why he was being he was being rebuked and that's why
-
Jesus didn't let the demons speak because through this
-
there's deception. We have to be very careful too,
-
right? The common says these people are
-
advocating customs that are law unlawful.
-
We we shouldn't be doing them. It's greed.
-
And it was all because what happened?
-
The finances were cut. Greed one Timothy 610 But the
-
root of all evil is the love of money.
-
He didn't care about his God who was put to shame, who was
-
exposed. He didn't care about that.
-
Just greed, anger, right? When you have religious debate,
-
interfaith, religious debate interfaith, not ecumenical
-
Interfaith, even ecumenical ecumenism has to be, you know,
-
we have to tread carefully in ecumenism as well, right?
-
But let's not go there. Let's go into faith first.
-
When you're talking to our friends, the Muslims, and you
-
prove to them, what do they start doing?
-
They start being aggressive. And if they had the opportunity,
-
they would do what their book is telling them to do.
-
Or you talk to an atheist, or you talk to someone who is, who
-
just doesn't, has no relationship with God, right?
-
It's all because of greed. It's all because of pride.
-
It's all because of anger and hatred.
-
That's why the world is where it is now, beloved.
-
What's more done astonishing is what the magistrates do.
-
It says that they tore their garments now.
-
It says they toured St. Paul's and Silas's gun, but in
-
the Shippow version says that they tore their garments.
-
Them too, and they commanded them to scorch them.
-
Bells ringing. There should be bells ringing,
-
right? Bell ringing.
-
Time now. Matthew 2665.
-
Mark 1463. The high priest Caiaphas tore
-
his clothes, his robe upon hearing Jesus identifying
-
himself as the Son of God. Rightly so he is, It's the
-
truth. He is the truth.
-
So what? He said his truth, Caiaphas
-
toss, he tears his clothes, His robe for truth.
-
The Majesty's tear their robe for lies.
-
Look at the extent they are going.
-
Because that evil God was exposed, that demon and the
-
financial gains were disrupted. They scorched them with whips.
-
More bells. Those who read their Bibles.
-
Matthew 2726 Then he released Barabba.
-
This is Pilate to them and scorched Jesus.
-
Exactly. More more belts should be going
-
off. John 1518.
-
And if the world hates you, know that it hated you hated me
-
before you. If they do to the green branch,
-
what will they do to the dried up?
-
That means if they did to me what they're doing to me, what
-
are they going to going to do to you?
-
And this is happening. So the, the warnings of Jesus
-
weren't just just, you know, a few words just to fill up the,
-
the verse and the chapter. No, they were thrown in prison.
-
And you know, Jesus was held in custody overnight in the high
-
priest's house for approximately 6 to 8 hours until they dragged
-
him. They dragged him as well through
-
the marketplaces to crucify him. Wow, they really followed the
-
footsteps of Jesus. This is Christianity, beloved,
-
and the keeper of the prison to keep them so secure that he put
-
them in the inner jail, inner inner cell and he bound their
-
feet that they would not, they would not flee.
-
All right. Who else did they put as a God
-
when Jesus was put in the tomb? They came and said, you know
-
what this deceiver, they said to Pilot, this deceiver would say
-
that I would resurrect on the third day.
-
See, they remembered this, but they didn't take heed.
-
Again, they did not take heed. They were too worried about
-
their positions, about their authority, you know, about them
-
being knowing and Pharisee. I, we are, we are different.
-
We know you don't know. They didn't take it.
-
They're they're they're quoting scripture.
-
This deceiver said that on the third day he will rise.
-
Now let's be careful that, you know, his disciples don't come
-
and steal his body. And today they think to date,
-
they think that Jesus body is stolen where it is know it.
-
You know, when you have this argument, you say, OK, show it.
-
Where is it? Where is it?
-
You know, they become aggressive, arrogant, and they
-
start being, you know, disrespectful, right?
-
So what does Pilate say? You have God, You can't put
-
gods. So Jesus was not bound by death.
-
No, not bound by death. No, no, Jesus gave himself to
-
death and there were gods so that they would his body would
-
not be stolen, but he was resurrected.
-
Praise and glory be to his name. He was resurrected.
-
All this, beloved, all this because of exposing false gods,
-
evil, intense and wicked motives.
-
Don't be angry. Don't start planning your
-
revenge when you are exposed, whatever it may be, even if it's
-
evil, even if it's evil, immorality when it's exposed,
-
don't start finding excuses to prove that that is wrong.
-
No, no, it's not wrong. When it's from the Holy
-
Scriptures, when it's, it's just common sense.
-
It's evident in history, in the lives of a life of mankind.
-
It's evident. You can't go against it.
-
Don't become arrogant, ignorant. Don't become, you know, begin to
-
assault and insult. Step back and think about it
-
again. This, these, these masters
-
should have stood back and said, let's, let's examine what just
-
happened. The same thing happened to the
-
high priest and the priest and the Pharisees that, you know,
-
the blind man from his mother's womb was made, healed.
-
Christ actually made eyeballs. They call them eyeballs.
-
Yeah, eyeballs. I don't know the, the, the
-
optomical liturgy or, or, or terminology.
-
He didn't have any eyeballs. That's why he spat on the
-
ground. I am your fashioner.
-
I fashioned you. I am the God.
-
And he made eyes and they said, oh, he's not adhering to Moses's
-
laws. They look at the the miracle,
-
look at the miracle. Oh, he healed on the Sabbath.
-
We become very Pharisitical. We become like these masters at
-
times when Stephen reveals proves exposes my evil, my
-
wrongdoing, my foolishness. And if I truly fear God and I
-
love the Lord, I should step back and say let me think about
-
it. I know yes, it's just a you
-
know, it's it's inhumanity. It's our human instinct.
-
It's just a it's just a human thing to quickly put up our God
-
right. OK, but then again, let's not
-
use our guards too quickly, put them up, but then slowly drop
-
them and think about it, because then you can go to such an
-
extreme where you can cause a lot of damage to yourself, to
-
others. This is how deaths have been.
-
You know, you're, you hear a story.
-
Man shoots his wife and his children because his grand, his,
-
his mother-in-law said something he didn't like.
-
Now, if you go back and examine and I'm not saying that, you
-
know, maybe the mother-in-law was correct.
-
Maybe your mother-in-law was exposing your evil.
-
And look at look at to what extreme this man's gone.
-
He shoots his wife and his children, he kills them.
-
He's rotting, rotting in prison. That's how the demons work,
-
beloved. Look, the demon was exposed, the
-
demon was expelled, and yet, and yet this man, the demon worked
-
through this man as well, because the demon did not stop.
-
And again, take heed to what that name was in the name of
-
Jesus Christ and in only in one name.
-
Beloved, let me tell you, and I always say this, you can stand
-
before a demon and rebuke him in the name of Muhammad.
-
Nothing's going to happen. He'll actually laugh.
-
He'll chuckle at you. You can stand before the demon
-
and Satan and rebuke him in the name of Vishnu.
-
He will chuckle at you. You can stand and rebuke the the
-
the demon or the the, the, the Satan.
-
In the name of Buddha, in the name of Rajneesh, in the name of
-
Krishna, in the name of any other gods that are out there or
-
those that are seen as gods or as saviors.
-
The demons chuckle. The demons only shutter in the
-
name when hear they when they hear the name Jesus Christ.
-
And we pray that when the person that hears the name of Jesus
-
Christ and is rebuked in one way and is convicted that they come
-
back and say who is this Jesus Christ?
-
Tell me about him. Because only through Jesus
-
Christ is there salvation. The demon proclaimed this, you
-
know, isn't it? Isn't it annoying now?
-
Isn't it so annoying now, so frustrating now that there are
-
Christians, there are the man of the cloth, whether it's white,
-
red or black, now claiming that there are other ways through
-
salvation, other ways except Jesus Christ, and yet this demon
-
is putting them to shame. Read the scriptures, read the
-
scriptures. The demons are saying,
-
proclaiming these men are teaching you, proclaiming you
-
the way of salvation, the right way of salvation, being rebuked.
-
But that's why Paul allowed him to go on, allowed the demon.
-
He had authority, yell authority.
-
You know, sometimes when you're in an argument and you see a
-
little child come and speak and you see the real little child is
-
truly rebuking the person that is so stubborn, you just let the
-
child speak. Yeah.
-
Go, go, keep going, keep going. What did you say?
-
What did you say? Do you see?
-
This child knows, but you don't. This child is more wiser than
-
you, right? Some.
-
And that's why Paul let the demon speak.
-
And he was all divinely inspired.
-
Praise and glory be to Christ's name.
-
The demon knows proclaimed that these men preaching Jesus Christ
-
is only the way. Yet today in Christendom, those
-
who claim Jesus Christ to be their Lord, those who preach the
-
Lord Jesus Christ, those who go up the pulpit and speak, now
-
they're proclaiming that there are many other ways to God
-
except Jesus Christ. You blasphemer, you black,
-
whoever you may be, you blasphemer, go and learn from
-
the demon. Go and learn from this demon.
-
And, and if you if you don't accept this as being true fact,
-
an event that actually occurred, well, then you know what?
-
Don't dare preach Scripture. Don't dare open the Scripture.
-
Don't even hold it, don't even have it because you're saying,
-
oh, you know what? This didn't happen.
-
You know, when you see the stories about, you know, the,
-
the, the, the, the Ninevites and, and Jonah, you know, it's
-
just, it's just something, why, why are you even referring to
-
that through the scriptures? If you have doubts and you speak
-
about the truth of what's in the Holy Scriptures, why are you
-
even reading them? Don't because you're bringing
-
more condemnation upon yourself. You're becoming this man.
-
You're becoming this master. But no, beloved, we have power.
-
There is power in the name of Jesus Christ, not only to cast
-
out demons. There is power in the name of
-
Jesus Christ to rebuke. You may be rebuked in this
-
episode. I don't know.
-
God knows. You may be rebuked.
-
You may be convicted. You may be put to shame.
-
It's OK. That's not the end of the world.
-
Don't. Don't you know, throw in the
-
towel? No, no, no.
-
What do I do? Well, examine yourself even
-
more. Begin to pray to the Lord.
-
Maybe you seek some counsel from your spiritual counselor, your
-
priest. If it's serious, offer your fast
-
to be absolved and start walking the path of reconciliation,
-
repentance back to the Father just as the prodigal boy or the
-
prodigal son did. Praise and glory be to Jesus
-
name who is the risen Lord. Praise be to his name now and at
-
all times and forever. Amen.
-
We hope you enjoyed this week's message.
