  1. Good morning, everyone.

  2. Good morning.

  3. Why don't we bow our heads and pray for God's help.

  4. ! Our gracious Lord, we thank you for your word.

  5. ! And this morning we ask, Lord, that as we have listened to your word read and as we listen to it being expounded,

  6. so, Father, we pray that your Holy Spirit would infect our minds.

  7. And, Lord, we thank you that your written word always brings us to your living word, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

  8. Amen.

  9. Amen.

  10. So, Matthew's Gospel in verse 10, we read this important question.

  11. Jesus entered Jerusalem, we're told, the whole city was stirred and asked, who is this?

  12. I suppose one of the things that you really need to learn as you navigate your way through life is how to deal with disappointment.

  13. I don't think there would be a soul in this church who, at some point, doesn't experience disappointment.

  14. Some of it is relatively superficial stuff.

  15. I'm very disappointed when my football team doesn't win.

  16. Maybe there was a present you wanted for your birthday or at Christmas and it never arrived and you feel disappointed.

  17. Sometimes that disappointment can feel really deep.

  18. inside of you.

  19. I remember when I was a 16-year-old boy, I had played football at District and had trials with a couple of teams

  20. and finally ended up playing in a trials match for Manchester City, which, truthfully, I hate, but that's another story.

  21. And I thought I played really well.

  22. And then I was given the news, you will never play in what we used to call the first division.

  23. And even now, as I recall that, I can feel the sense of disappointment in the pit of my stomach.

  24. All I ever wanted to be was a professional footballer.

  25. Then there's that really hard issue of disappointment when we feel that other people have let us down.

  26. And it's truly disappointing, isn't it?

  27. In the Scottish version of the Daily Mail, on the 19th of March,

  28. and let me explain, I was in Scotland,

  29. there was an article in the middle of it.

  30. There's a little section in the middle which is aimed at women.

  31. It's called female, M-A-I-L.

  32. And the heading was,

  33. Why do so many middle-aged women

  34. find their husbands repulsive?

  35. Don't put your hands up.

  36. Apparently, this is based on some data that somebody got together.

  37. And you can imagine what that tells you.

  38. There must be a lot of women who are quite disappointed

  39. with the way things ended up.

  40. And then, just this last week,

  41. Anthony and I were away together.

  42. And I had no idea this person was showing up on the trip we were on.

  43. He was a man who used to be a teacher of theology

  44. and then became a very effective minister of a church.

  45. Had thousands of people.

  46. He's got a lovely wife.

  47. And when I met him,

  48. I used to really look up to him

  49. when I was a young clergy person.

  50. And when I met him,

  51. I could tell he was just a little guarded with me

  52. and I didn't understand it.

  53. And I got close to saying to him,

  54. You know, have I disappointed you in some way in the past?

  55. You know, I couldn't quite get this.

  56. Anyway, as I told him,

  57. it slowly came out

  58. that he doesn't do any ministry anymore.

  59. He gave up many years ago.

  60. I then discovered he goes nowhere near a church

  61. and nor does his wife.

  62. And I took a little service on this trip we were on

  63. on Sunday morning.

  64. And I noticed that he,

  65. it would be the equivalent

  66. of sitting at the back of the church

  67. with your back to me.

  68. That was his body language.

  69. And I was really disappointed.

  70. This is a man who was,

  71. if you like,

  72. a kind of spiritual hero in my mind.

  73. And his faith was nowhere now.

  74. I was disappointed.

  75. One of the things that,

  76. if you've not learned it,

  77. you really do need to learn it.

  78. And that is to navigate your way through this life.

  79. You need to learn to process disappointment

  80. in a way that doesn't damage you for life.

  81. You know,

  82. there are a lot of people

  83. who are made very bitter

  84. by disappointment.

  85. And you know,

  86. the problem with bitterness is this.

  87. That when somebody meets you

  88. who's never met you before,

  89. they will work out you are bitter

  90. within two minutes of meeting you.

  91. Bitterness,

  92. I think,

  93. is one of the hardest things to hide.

  94. So we come to this passage.

  95. It's Palm Sunday today.

  96. We come to this passage

  97. where Jesus entered Jerusalem.

  98. Clearly,

  99. it was a moment of exaltation.

  100. The crowds threw their cloaks on the ground.

  101. They cut down branches from palm trees

  102. and threw them on the ground.

  103. This symbolized

  104. the importance,

  105. in secular terms,

  106. of somebody of high rank

  107. or royalty.

  108. And yet,

  109. just a few days later,

  110. the same crowd shouted,

  111. crucify.

  112. And we can judge their fickleness.

  113. Of course we can.

  114. But then,

  115. we have to ask ourselves,

  116. is that fickleness

  117. something that's in me?

  118. And,

  119. sometimes I wonder

  120. if it is in me.

  121. Just a few days later,

  122. they shouted,

  123. crucify.

  124. Why did

  125. a potential coronation

  126. become a crucifixion?

  127. That's a great question.

  128. Dorothy L. Sayers

  129. wrote a

  130. piece for

  131. radio.

  132. Initially,

  133. it was turned into a book

  134. called,

  135. The Man Born to be King.

  136. And in that book,

  137. she gave

  138. quite a plausible

  139. explanation

  140. of why it was

  141. that Judas

  142. turned against Jesus.

  143. She said,

  144. he turned against Jesus

  145. because

  146. he was disappointed.

  147. His expectations

  148. were let down.

  149. Judas thought,

  150. with the crowd,

  151. as we shall see,

  152. Judas thought,

  153. that Jesus

  154. had come

  155. to lead

  156. a political

  157. revolution.

  158. And he hadn't.

  159. And Jesus

  160. gave a few

  161. signs of this,

  162. didn't he?

  163. He came riding

  164. on a donkey.

  165. I mean,

  166. I can't imagine

  167. what the media

  168. would make

  169. of the trooping

  170. of the colour

  171. if all the dignitaries

  172. were sitting on donkeys.

  173. I don't think

  174. that would work

  175. too well.

  176. Could it be

  177. that the crowd,

  178. jubilant on Palm Sunday,

  179. became a jeering mob

  180. on Good Friday?

  181. Why?

  182. Because

  183. they felt let down.

  184. Of course,

  185. Jesus

  186. didn't go out

  187. of his way.

  188. He upset them.

  189. The next story

  190. in Matthew's Gospel

  191. is Jesus

  192. goes into

  193. the temple courts

  194. and starts

  195. smashing everything up.

  196. Would this be

  197. the behaviour

  198. of a political

  199. revolution?

  200. Well, it may be,

  201. but I doubt it.

  202. No, this

  203. was an ugly scene

  204. that developed

  205. from a wonderful

  206. moment.

  207. And just by

  208. way of

  209. explanation,

  210. you will remember

  211. that at this time,

  212. Judah and Israel

  213. were occupied

  214. by the Romans.

  215. 63 BC,

  216. the Roman

  217. Emperor

  218. Pompey

  219. attacked

  220. Jerusalem

  221. and took it

  222. over

  223. and remained

  224. there.

  225. We know it was

  226. the run-up

  227. to the Passover.

  228. Roland Deveau,

  229. in his brilliant

  230. History of the

  231. Old Testament,

  232. tells us

  233. that it's possible

  234. that there were

  235. two million Jews

  236. in Jerusalem

  237. in the run-up

  238. to the Passover.

  239. And when you

  240. think about that,

  241. it's pretty likely

  242. that no more

  243. than 10%

  244. of that crowd

  245. had ever heard

  246. of Jesus.

  247. They'd be spread

  248. all over the place.

  249. They'd have come

  250. from miles away.

  251. Maybe,

  252. very likely,

  253. the Jews in

  254. Jerusalem

  255. had heard about

  256. Jesus.

  257. Maybe some of them

  258. out in the

  259. diaspora,

  260. the surrounding

  261. areas.

  262. But many of them

  263. would never have

  264. heard the name.

  265. And of course,

  266. one of the things

  267. we know,

  268. or you know,

  269. if you're a student

  270. of crowd psychology,

  271. is that if one

  272. small section

  273. of a crowd

  274. starts to behave

  275. in a certain way,

  276. it catches on,

  277. it's infectious,

  278. and everybody

  279. does it.

  280. So there were

  281. people there,

  282. very lightly,

  283. throwing their coats

  284. on the ground,

  285. chucking down palms,

  286. who didn't really

  287. understand what

  288. was happening.

  289. The kind of thought,

  290. this is political.

  291. News travels fast

  292. in a crowd.

  293. And this promised

  294. king to fulfill

  295. the prophecy

  296. of Zechariah,

    Zechariah 9 chapter mention

  297. chapter 9

  298. and verse 9,

  299. comes riding

  300. on a donkey.

  301. I mean,

  302. in a way,

  303. you have to laugh,

  304. don't you?

  305. This was the moment.

  306. This was the moment

  307. that they believed

  308. that Jesus was coming

  309. to lead a political

  310. revolution.

  311. Make no mistake

  312. about this,

  313. this was a political

  314. demonstration.

  315. How do we know that?

  316. Save,

  317. Hosanna means

  318. save now.

  319. That was a political

  320. slogan.

  321. That was like

  322. people standing

  323. outside hospitals

  324. saying,

  325. what do we want?

  326. More money,

  327. when do we want it

  328. now?

  329. Save now.

  330. Save us

  331. from the Roman

  332. oppressors.

  333. And that's not

  334. what Jesus

  335. came to do.

  336. So I want to say

  337. to you

  338. three things

  339. about this,

  340. which I hope

  341. will be helpful

  342. for you.

  343. The first thing is,

  344. never put on

  345. others a role

  346. which is not

  347. theirs.

  348. political demo.

  349. They were putting

  350. onto Jesus

  351. the role

  352. of a political

  353. king,

  354. not a spiritual

  355. messiah.

  356. Surely,

  357. this is an

  358. indication

  359. that the crowd's

  360. expectation

  361. was that Jesus

  362. would lead a

  363. revolution

  364. against the

  365. Romans.

  366. 150 years

  367. earlier,

  368. a Jewish

  369. man named

  370. Judas Maccabees

  371. had tried

  372. to overthrow

  373. the Seleucid

  374. empire which

  375. held power

  376. in Jerusalem

  377. at the time

  378. and failed

  379. spectacularly.

  380. People

  381. remembered that.

  382. Don't put

  383. onto others

  384. a role

  385. that is not

  386. theirs.

  387. Do you know,

  388. all through

  389. my life,

  390. I've met

  391. young adults

  392. who've been

  393. messed up

  394. because of

  395. the expectations

  396. their parents

  397. put upon them.

  398. They had a

  399. very clear

  400. career route

  401. for their

  402. child.

  403. Some of

  404. them would

  405. even say,

  406. God has

  407. shown us

  408. this is the

  409. career route

  410. for our

  411. child,

  412. but unfortunately

  413. God had

  414. never told

  415. the child.

  416. Don't put

  417. onto others

  418. a role

  419. that is not

  420. theirs.

  421. It's not

  422. uncommon

  423. in marriage.

  424. that

  425. people

  426. who have

  427. a propensity

  428. to control

  429. will place

  430. on others

  431. an expectation

  432. which is

  433. unreasonable

  434. and unfair.

  435. And of

  436. course,

  437. another example

  438. of this would

  439. be the

  440. ruling

  441. classes.

  442. We all have

  443. an idea of

  444. what they

  445. should do

  446. for us

  447. and we

  448. feel let

  449. down.

  450. I mean,

  451. you've only

  452. got to open

  453. the pages

  454. of the

  455. printed media

  456. at the

  457. moment to

  458. see.

  459. There is

  460. huge

  461. frustration

  462. with the

  463. ruling

  464. classes.

  465. Maybe

  466. you feel

  467. that.

  468. But then

  469. just a little

  470. closer to

  471. home.

  472. On the

  473. 16th of

  474. April,

  475. we shall

  476. welcome

  477. Simon

  478. and

  479. Amy

  480. Durrant

  481. as our

  482. new

  483. vicar

  484. and

  485. spouse.

  486. I often

  487. think it

  488. would be

  489. a good

  490. thing

  491. to have

  492. a short

  493. seminar

  494. in churches.

  495. Clergy are

  496. taught a lot

  497. about arriving

  498. in a new

  499. parish.

  500. But

  501. congregations

  502. not so

  503. much.

  504. Ought

  505. we to

  506. be

  507. thinking

  508. about

  509. how we

  510. receive

  511. the

  512. person

  513. who we

  514. believe

  515. God has

  516. appointed

  517. to be

  518. our new

  519. spiritual

  520. leader.

  521. This is

  522. about

  523. expectations.

  524. Christ's

  525. church will

  526. not be

  527. the same.

  528. It

  529. would be

  530. easy for

  531. us to

  532. keep a

  533. load of

  534. expectations

  535. upon a

  536. new

  537. vicar.

  538. That

  539. would be

  540. unfair.

  541. And let

  542. me tell

  543. you,

  544. I know

  545. this,

  546. you know,

  547. I've

  548. been

  549. one.

  550. Not

  551. everybody

  552. likes

  553. the

  554. new

  555. vicar.

  556. I went

  557. to a

  558. parish,

  559. on the

  560. whole,

  561. it went

  562. really well,

  563. but in

  564. the early

  565. days,

  566. a man

  567. came to

  568. see me.

  569. And he

  570. said to

  571. me,

  572. I'd like

  573. to put

  574. myself

  575. forward to

  576. be

  577. church

  578. warden.

  579. He said,

  580. I have

  581. such

  582. respect for

  583. your

  584. authority.

  585. authority.

  586. And I

  587. thought,

  588. call me

  589. cynical if

  590. you like,

  591. I thought

  592. to myself,

  593. if he

  594. accepts my

  595. authority,

  596. why is he

  597. banging on

  598. about it?

  599. I didn't

  600. just get

  601. on with

  602. it.

  603. This

  604. is a

  605. guy who

  606. wrote to

  607. the local

  608. paper,

  609. call me a

  610. liar and

  611. a hypocrite,

  612. because I

  613. would not

  614. agree to

  615. make him a

  616. church

  617. warden of

  618. our

  619. church.

  620. He's

  621. trying to

  622. get a

  623. load of

  624. people to

  625. leave the

  626. church with

  627. him,

  628. and thank

  629. God

  630. failed.

  631. We want

  632. to welcome

  633. Simon.

  634. We want

  635. to give

  636. him the

  637. space to

  638. be the

  639. leader that

  640. God wants

  641. him to

  642. be in

  643. our

  644. presence.

  645. Some of

  646. us won't

  647. like it.

  648. Here's my

  649. advice,

  650. stick with

  651. it.

  652. Give

  653. him a

  654. chance.

  655. Somebody

  656. on the

  657. radio this

  658. morning I

  659. was listening

  660. to basically

  661. said,

  662. we should

  663. give all

  664. new leaders

  665. a chance.

  666. don't

  667. judge

  668. prematurely.

  669. It's a

  670. mistake.

  671. The second

  672. thing is,

  673. don't give

  674. up when

  675. your

  676. expectations

  677. are

  678. shattered.

  679. Historians

  680. tell us

  681. two million

  682. people were

  683. in Jerusalem

  684. for the

  685. Passover.

  686. How about

  687. this?

  688. When Jesus

  689. ascended into

  690. heaven,

  691. we're told

  692. that there

  693. were 120

  694. disciples

  695. left in

  696. Jerusalem.

  697. A lot

  698. of people

  699. obviously

  700. felt so

  701. let down

  702. they just

  703. gave up.

  704. We know

  705. this happened

  706. in the

  707. Bible.

  708. In John

    John 6 chapter mention

  709. chapter 6

  710. we're told

  711. there that

  712. the disciples

  713. of Jesus,

  714. some of

  715. them muttered

  716. together and

  717. said,

  718. this teaching

  719. is too

  720. hard.

  721. Six verses

  722. later it

  723. says that

  724. a lot of

  725. the disciples

  726. turned back.

  727. Think of

  728. my friend,

  729. the spiritual

  730. hero I

  731. was telling

  732. you about

  733. earlier in

  734. this message.

  735. Don't

  736. give up.

  737. Don't

  738. give up in

  739. your marriage

  740. if your

  741. expectations

  742. are not

  743. being met.

  744. Please

  745. don't give

  746. up with

  747. your children

  748. if your

  749. expectations

  750. are not

  751. met.

  752. This is

  753. critical

  754. to

  755. growing

  756. up.

  757. See,

  758. I think

  759. it's an

  760. immature

  761. thing.

  762. My

  763. father used

  764. to have

  765. a phrase,

  766. you know

  767. the kind

  768. of person

  769. you play

  770. in a

  771. game or

  772. something

  773. like that

  774. and they

  775. get

  776. stroppy

  777. and walk

  778. off in

  779. a

  780. strop.

  781. My

  782. father used

  783. to call

  784. that

  785. attitude,

  786. my

  787. back,

  788. my

  789. ball,

  790. my

  791. stumps,

  792. I'm

  793. going

  794. home.

  795. That's

  796. not for

  797. us.

  798. We're the

  799. people of

  800. God.

  801. It's not

  802. meant to be

  803. like that.

  804. We're not

  805. meant to

  806. cause

  807. division in

  808. churches

  809. because we

  810. put expectations

  811. on a

  812. leader.

  813. Don't do

  814. it.

  815. And the

  816. disciples

  817. in John

  818. 6 say

  819. this is

  820. hard

  821. teaching.

  822. Surely

  823. that is

  824. a question

  825. mark to

  826. the easy

  827. believism

  828. that is

  829. counterfeit

  830. religion

  831. and runs

  832. wild in

  833. our time.

  834. being a

  835. disciple

  836. is a

  837. tough

  838. call.

  839. It's

  840. not easy

  841. believism.

  842. In

  843. Hebrews

    Hebrews 10 chapter mention

  844. chapter 10

  845. and verse

  846. 39,

  847. the writer

  848. of the

  849. epistle

  850. to the

  851. Hebrews,

  852. who I

  853. remind you

  854. is writing

  855. to Jewish

  856. people who've

  857. left the

  858. synagogue to

  859. become

  860. Christians

  861. and at

  862. this period

  863. were thinking

  864. of going

  865. back to

  866. the synagogue.

  867. Hebrews

    Hebrews 10 chapter mention

  868. chapter 10

  869. says this,

  870. right?

  871. May this

  872. be true of

  873. us friends

  874. this morning.

  875. But we

  876. are not of

  877. those who

  878. shrink back

  879. and are

  880. destroyed,

  881. but of

  882. those who

  883. believe and

  884. are saved.

  885. See,

  886. persistence

  887. is a big

  888. New Testament

  889. word.

  890. Don't give

  891. up when

  892. your expectations

  893. are shattered.

  894. And finally,

  895. Jesus came

  896. to save

  897. us,

  898. not from

  899. the enemy

  900. out there,

  901. but from

  902. the enemy

  903. within.

  904. Not from

  905. the oppressive

  906. Roman government

  907. at the time

  908. of Jesus.

  909. Not from

  910. the things

  911. that are

  912. outside us

  913. that we

  914. collude with

  915. and sometimes

  916. get addicted

  917. to.

  918. No,

  919. Jesus came

  920. to deal

  921. with the

  922. enemy

  923. inside of

  924. me.

  925. My sin,

  926. my wrongdoing,

  927. all have

  928. sinned and

  929. fall short.

  930. Of the

  931. glory of

  932. God.

  933. That's

  934. you and

  935. me,

  936. friends.

  937. And we

  938. might try

  939. and blame

  940. others,

  941. we might

  942. try and

  943. blame anybody,

  944. but at

  945. the end

  946. of the

  947. day,

  948. it tells

  949. us in

  950. Ezekiel

    Ezekiel 18 chapter mention

  951. chapter 18,

  952. when the

  953. Jews are

  954. finding an

  955. excuse for

  956. their plight

  957. in exile,

  958. and they're

  959. going around

  960. muttering

  961. together,

  962. saying,

  963. the fathers

  964. have eaten

  965. sour grapes,

  966. and the

  967. children's

  968. teeth are

  969. set on

  970. edge.

  971. In other

  972. words,

  973. we're not

  974. in exile

  975. because it's

  976. our fault,

  977. it's our

  978. parents.

  979. You've

  980. heard that

  981. one before.

  982. No,

  983. says God,

  984. the soul

  985. that sins

  986. will surely

  987. die.

  988. Jesus

  989. didn't come

  990. to save us

  991. from the

  992. enemy,

  993. he came

  994. to save

  995. us from

  996. the enemy

  997. we're in.

  998. that we

  999. might become

  1000. inheritors

  1001. of his

  1002. promises,

  1003. that we

  1004. might become

  1005. members of

  1006. the kingdom

  1007. of God.

  1008. Today,

  1009. you're going

  1010. to be

  1011. given one

  1012. of these.

  1013. I'd like to

  1014. think you

  1015. might put it

  1016. somewhere

  1017. prominently in

  1018. your home to

  1019. remind you of

  1020. the cost that

  1021. Jesus paid,

  1022. that your sin

  1023. could be

  1024. forgiven,

  1025. and you

  1026. could be

  1027. free to be

  1028. a disciple.

  1029. a

  1030. cross.

  1031. Why a

  1032. cross?

  1033. And one

  1034. level, a

  1035. symbol of

  1036. huge failure.

  1037. That's why

  1038. when Jesus

  1039. was arrested,

  1040. that's why

  1041. when he

  1042. smashed up

  1043. the temple,

  1044. that's why

  1045. people lost

  1046. confidence that

  1047. this really was

  1048. the person

  1049. that they

  1050. could put

  1051. their trust

  1052. in.

  1053. And you

  1054. might be

  1055. sitting there

  1056. thinking,

  1057. well, I've

  1058. got plenty

  1059. of reasons

  1060. for not

  1061. putting my

  1062. trust in

  1063. Jesus.

  1064. Jesus came

  1065. to help

  1066. you with

  1067. the enemy

  1068. within,

  1069. your wrongdoing,

  1070. your sinfulness.

  1071. How does

  1072. that happen?

  1073. It happens

  1074. on a cross.

  1075. I remember

  1076. that wonderful,

  1077. wonderful

  1078. old

  1079. Lenten hymn.

  1080. Glory be

  1081. to Jesus,

  1082. who in

  1083. bitter pains

  1084. poured for

  1085. me the

  1086. lifeblood

  1087. from his

  1088. sacred veins.

  1089. Grace and

  1090. life eternal

  1091. in that

  1092. blood I

  1093. find.

  1094. Blessed be

  1095. his

  1096. compassion,

  1097. infinitely

  1098. kind.

  1099. This may

  1100. be for

  1101. you.

  1102. a day

  1103. of

  1104. decision.

  1105. Maybe

  1106. you need

  1107. to stop

  1108. pressing a

  1109. role on

  1110. somebody

  1111. close to

  1112. you,

  1113. which is

  1114. not their

  1115. role at

  1116. all.

  1117. Maybe

  1118. you need

  1119. to stop

  1120. that.

  1121. Maybe

  1122. you need

  1123. to learn

  1124. a little

  1125. persistence.

  1126. Don't

  1127. stop when

  1128. your

  1129. expectations

  1130. are let

  1131. down.

  1132. Try and

  1133. ask yourself

  1134. this question,

  1135. what is

  1136. God trying

  1137. to teach

  1138. me?

  1139. And

  1140. finally,

  1141. remember

  1142. Jesus came

  1143. to save

  1144. the enemy

  1145. within.

  1146. God's

  1147. mercy

  1148. is

  1149. overflowing

  1150. says

  1151. scripture.

  1152. I am

  1153. so grateful

  1154. for that.

  1155. St.

  1156. Paul wrote

  1157. that he

  1158. was the

  1159. chief of

  1160. sinners.

  1161. I think

  1162. I could

  1163. run him

  1164. a pretty

  1165. close

  1166. second.

  1167. Turn

  1168. your mind

  1169. back

  1170. to that

  1171. hot and

  1172. dusty

  1173. day.

  1174. On

  1175. that

  1176. Palm

  1177. Sunday,

  1178. what would

  1179. you be

  1180. shouting?

  1181. What would

  1182. you be

  1183. thinking?

  1184. where would

  1185. you be?

  1186. Who is

  1187. this

  1188. Jesus?

  1189. The

  1190. crowd

  1191. asked.

  1192. That's a

  1193. great

  1194. question.

  1195. And for

  1196. those of

  1197. you who

  1198. don't know

  1199. Jesus,

  1200. here's my

  1201. advice.

  1202. Remember

  1203. he loves

  1204. you though

  1205. you don't

  1206. deserve it

  1207. and make

  1208. a decision

  1209. to follow

  1210. him.

  1211. Ask him

  1212. to forgive

  1213. you for

  1214. the enemy

  1215. within which

  1216. has driven

  1217. you to

  1218. behaviours

  1219. that you

  1220. really ought

  1221. to be

  1222. ashamed

  1223. of.

  1224. Tell

  1225. him

  1226. from

  1227. today

  1228. onwards

  1229. you will

  1230. trust

  1231. him.

  1232. And

  1233. believe

  1234. me,

  1235. your

  1236. life

  1237. will

  1238. never

  1239. ever

  1240. be the

  1241. same.

  1242. Not

  1243. in this

  1244. life

  1245. and not

  1246. into

  1247. eternity.

  1248. come on

  1249. Jesus,

  1250. save

  1251. now.

  1252. Not from

  1253. our

  1254. government

  1255. or from

  1256. anything

  1257. outside of

  1258. us,

  1259. but save

  1260. us from

  1261. the

  1262. consequences

  1263. of our

  1264. sin.

  1265. That one

  1266. day we

  1267. shall meet

  1268. you face

  1269. to face

  1270. in heaven

  1271. and live

  1272. in eternity

  1273. with you.

  1274. In the name

  1275. of that

  1276. amazing God,

  1277. Father,

  1278. Son,

  1279. and Holy

  1280. Spirit.

  1281. And the

  1282. people who

  1283. agreed said

  1284. together.

  1285. Amen.
