The Resurrection Story | Part 2

Didn't God good? Amen.

Isaiah chapter 53 This morning on this Easter Sunday, I want to

Isaiah 53 · chapter mention

share with you the story of the life, death, burial, and

resurrection of Jesus Christ. I want to tell you the

resurrection story. I don't know where you are

spiritually, but I do know this story is the one and only story

that has the power to change your story.

And my question for you this morning is, has the story of the

resurrection truly changed your story?

Now you might think that this story of Jesus, his life, death,

burial, and resurrection is only in the New Testament.

Many might assume that, but that's not the case.

It's actually also in the Old Testament, in this book and in

others, but nowhere more clearly in the Old Testament than in

Isaiah chapter 53. As we started examining last

Isaiah 53 · chapter mention

week the story of the resurrection and now this story,

I want you to hear it through the words of the prophet Isaiah.

And as you hear and process it, I want you asking the question,

has this story truly changed my story?

Here it is, Part 1. Here's how Isaiah begins the

story. You can follow along in your

notes there. Jesus was the opposite of what

everyone expected. The story of Jesus starts as the

opposite of what everyone would have expect, expected.

Listen to verses 2 and three from Isaiah 53.

For he that's Jesus grew up before him.

That's God the Father, like a young plant and like a root out

of dry ground. He, Jesus, had no majesty that

we should look at Him, and no beauty that we should desire

Him. He was despised and rejected by

men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief as one

from whom men hide their faces. He was despised and we esteemed

Him not. The story of Jesus and the exact

opposite of what everyone would expect, could be described as

three Nos #1 no chance #2 no majesty and #3 no glory.

Let's talk about no chance. Look what it says there in the

text. He grew up before Him like a

plant out of like a root out of dry ground.

Let me ask you an obvious question.

Do things grow out of dry ground?

No Praise God. Things grow because of what's

happening right now and what happened last night.

Amen. Because rain falls from the

heavens, sent by God in His design of creation, allowing

things to grow. Things don't grow.

There's no chance something grows out of dry ground.

You say, well, Carl, how is it dry ground for the Messiah?

You see, God had promised that He would send a Savior.

He would send the Messiah, and he would be the son of David.

I'm talking about like David versus Goliath.

King David, all right? A son of his would come and

reign and rule forever as the Messiah.

The problem is that the line of King David had been cut down

like a tree reduced to a stump, left in dry ground.

It looked as if there was no earthly, no political, no

physical chance that a descendant of David would ever

be able to rise and rule and reign again.

And yet God said it would happen.

In fact, Isaiah verse one and two of Chapter 11 says it like

this. There shall come forth a shoot

from the stump of Jesse. That's David's father in the

branch from his roots shall bear fruit and who's it going to be.

It says in the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him.

It looked like a set of no way Jose circumstances yet God said

it would happen and this is how Jesus puts it in Revelation 22

Revelation 22:16

verse 16. I Jesus have sent my Angel to

testify to you about these things for the churches

including CFBC in 2026. I am, he says, watch this, the

root and descendant of David, the bright morning Star.

The story of Jesus, friends, begins with what looks like no

possible chance. But God said it would happen,

and it's happened exactly as God said it.

What happened #2 no majesty, no chance, and no majesty.

Look what the text says. He had no form or majesty that

we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire

him. If you could have lived in 1st

century Judea and walked up to Jesus and his 12 disciples,

perhaps you would have thought you could recognize you could

pick out of the line of 13 which one was Jesus.

If you thought that you could, you would be wrong.

You would have had no earthly idea which one was the living,

breathing in the flesh Son of the living God.

You don't want to know why? Because the Bible says Jesus had

absolutely nothing about him from a physical, earthly

perspective that was attractive or that was physically handsome.

No majesty, no beauty. In other words, no one did a

double take when they walked past the living, breathing Son

of God because he didn't look like anything special.

Now here's the deal. I don't know what Jesus looked

like, but here's what I do know. I know that half Angel looking

#4 guard, perfectly trimmed beard with Pantene pro V flowing

hair. Picture of a man in church

libraries across America ain't Jesus.

That's a figment of somebody's imagination.

But that ain't biblical. Jesus had no form, no majesty

that you would think him special.

You would have never confused Jesus.

And Thor? No Cape, no beauty, no

impeccable features radiating upon His arrival.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me just put it like this for you.

You think I want? Is this practical?

It's practical like this. In a world that idolizes and

worships physical appearance and beauty, we would do well to

remember that that had absolutely nothing, zero to do

with the success of the mission of the Son of God.

When He was sent from the Father to save the world, it had no

bearing. So there was no chance.

There was no majesty. Third, there was no glory.

He was despised, Isaiah says, and rejected by men.

A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief, and is 1 from whom

men hide their faces. He was despised and we esteemed

Him not. Keep in mind, this is all

written 700 years in advance before it ever happened.

No glory, you see, because Jesus was not what people expected.

On the whole, Jesus was rejected.

I know. Yes, Jesus was followed by

massive crowds. But what happened to those

crowds, to those people when they discovered what Jesus truly

demanded of them? What did they do?

They despised, they rejected, they walked away, they would one

day yell crucify him before one of them sold him for silver.

Why was Jesus rejected? He was rejected for the same

reasons Jesus is rejected today. You want to know why?

Because Jesus was not about what they wanted him to be about.

They wanted him to be about wealth and material possessions,

earthly status and reputation, political revolution and

prosperity. And Jesus wasn't about any of

those things at that time. And furthermore, Jesus was a man

acquainted with grief and sorrow and tragedy, knowing pain

himself. I want you to remember Jesus

experienced the trauma of fleeing for his life with his

family to Egypt as a young child.

I want you to remember that Jesus experienced the pain of

losing his earthly father. Remember Jesus is going to

experience the sadness of losing best friends like John the

Baptist. Jesus is going to experience the

pain and the the grief of betrayal of those closest to him

and his closest friends and followers.

You see in all of this was just a warm up before his greatest

suffering, before he went to the cross and was nailed to the tree

bearing the sins of the the world for you and for me.

Jesus's story, friends, begins the exact opposite of what you

would expect. No chance, no majesty, no glory,

Isaiah says is how it's going to happen.

Part 2 of the story, Isaiah says, is like this.

Jesus suffered for our sake. Jesus suffered for our sake.

Listen to the word of God beginning in verse 4 through 6.

Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, yet we

esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.

But he was pierced. But He was pierced for our

transgressions. He was crushed for our

iniquities, and upon Him was the chastisement that brought us

peace. And with His wounds we are

healed. All we, like sheep, have gone

astray. We have turned everyone to his

own way. And don't miss this part.

And the Lord, and who and the Lord?

The Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Everyone looked at Jesus and assumed his suffering must be

because he was cursed by God. Surely he was bearing what he

deserved, everyone thought. But all the while all that he

was taking, all that he was suffering, all that he was

enduring was because not of his sin, not for his crimes, but for

my sin and my crimes, and your sin and your crimes against God.

He was suffering in our place as our substitute.

You see, we are the ones, Isaiah says, that had gone astray.

You and I are the ones that have gone our own way.

In fact, it says everyone has turned his back, his her back on

God and gone astray. We're the ones who deserve to be

stricken, smitten, and afflicted.

Look in the words there. We're the ones who deserve to be

pierced, crushed, chastised and wounded for our sin.

But friend, that's what Jesus took in your place.

We deserved it and yet he was taking it.

Verse 6 says in the Lord, I don't want you to miss who did

it. The Lord God the Father laid on

him the sin, the iniquity, the wrongdoing, the guilt, the shame

of us all. Pastor Kyle's sin was laid on

Jesus. Your sin was laid on Jesus by

who? Well, yes, the religious leaders

condemned Jesus and yes the the crowd cried crucified Jesus.

And yes, the Roman soldiers actually nailed the spikes that

pierced Jesus. But who sent his Son?

And on who was it that laid the sins of the world on his son?

None other than God the Father. What I don't want you to miss is

that Jesus was not a victim. Jesus was not a martyr.

Jesus was not a deaf by accident.

Jesus was God the Father's sacrifice for your sin and for

mine. For God so loved you, ladies and

gentlemen, the world that much that he was the one who

sacrificed his Son. You could put it like this, it

may make you uncomfortable, but this is what the Bible says.

It was ultimately God the Father who crucified his Son for you,

because that's how much he loved you.

Jesus with God the Father sacrifice for my sin and yours

He suffered in your place. It says in verse 5 upon him was

the chastisement that has brought us.

Watch these two things that has brought us peace, and with his

wounds we are secondly healed. There are no two greater

blessings a human being can experience than to receive and

experience peace with God and healing or freedom from the

curse of sin. Ladies and gentlemen, these two

things are only made possible by the cross of Jesus Christ.

Because of His blood shed for our sin.

We can be made right with God if by faith we call on God to save

us from our sin. Because of what Jesus did for us

on the cross, we can be made right with God and not just

right with God. We can be set free from the

curse of sin. We can be free from the bondage

of sin, the shame of sin, the punishment of sin, the weight of

sin. We can have the freedom to say

no to sin by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We can live free from sin forever with God in his presence

in heaven forever because of what Jesus offers on the cross.

Do you realize all the blessings that flow to a human being that

calls themselves a Christian is because of Jesus and these two

things he offers to us because of what he did on the cross

suffering in our place story Part 3, Isaiah says in verse 7

and 8 is that Jesus died voluntarily.

Jesus died voluntarily. Listen to the word of God.

He was oppressed, He was afflicted, yet He opened not his

mouth. Like a lamb that is led to the

slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shears is silent, So

he opened not his mouth. By oppression and judgement he

was taken away. And As for his generation who

considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living,

stricken for the transgression of my people, Jesus friends did

not resist arrest. Jesus did not protest his

enemy's false charges. Jesus did not file for a

mistrial. Jesus did not fight his

executioner's. Furthermore, I just want you to

remember, Jesus did not call on the legion of angels that were

there announcing the moment of his birth when he was on the

cross. Nor did Jesus call on that same

host arm of the armies of heaven to help him like they helped him

in the wilderness when he faced temptation.

And after victoriously saying no to the temptations of the enemy

and fasting for 40 days, guess who came to his aid to minister

to Him? The angels.

God didn't call. Jesus didn't call upon them when

He went to the cross. Neither did He call upon them

when they showed up like they had the night before during His

suffering and agony, when He literally sweat drops of blood

and they showed up to minister to.

But in the moment that Jesus gave himself for the sins of

mine, my sins and yours, the sins of the world, Jesus called

for nor ain't no angels. Why?

He didn't call for the armies of heaven.

Why? Because He was voluntarily

laying his life down for you and for me.

He did it silently. He did it submissively, like a

servant in the face of complete injustice, voluntarily laying

his life down in obedience to the Father's will.

No one mark it down. No one took Jesus's life from

him. Jesus was not a martyr.

Jesus did not die by accident. Jesus was not a victim.

Jesus was not the result of injustice or unrighteousness.

No, Jesus's death ultimately was because he was willing to die in

your place and in mine #4 Isaiah says.

The story continues like this. I love this part.

You can't make this stuff up over 700 years in advance.

Listen to this closely. Jesus was buried, but not as a

criminal. Jesus would be buried but Isaiah

says way in advance he's not going to be buried.

Y'all like a criminal. Listen to verse 9.

And they made his grave with the wicked and with the rich man in

his death. Well, how could it be that he's

assigned a grave with the wicked and yet also with the rich man

in his death, although he had done no violence, That is no

sin, no wrongdoing, and there was no deceit in his mouth.

The burial of Jesus, friends, is often overlooked, but it's

actually as critical a component of the gospel as his life and as

his death and as his resurrection.

Why is that? Because the burial of Jesus is

part of the proof that Jesus actually died.

The Romans were pretty good at death.

They were experts at execution. No one would have released the

body unless they were certain Jesus was dead.

This is why one of the gospels mentions the fact that when

Pilate was asked for the body, he confirmed first with the

Roman centurion who was there at the cross that Jesus was in fact

dead. The Jews in the days of the

crucifixion, the Romans, by typical practice before the

times of the Jews, would typically leave their victims on

the cross until they rotted or their bodies fell off piece by

piece. But in the days of the Jews,

they had a law against leaving a corpse unburied.

And so Jesus would be assigned a place to be buried with those

that were criminals, as if he was one assigned a place with

the wicked. This is what would have happened

to Jesus. But God had prophesied that

Jesus body would not see decay. And Isaiah prophesied that his

body would not be cast in an unclean place.

Which is why you can read about for yourself the facts of

history and the gospels. That a wealthy man just like

Isaiah would come 700 years in advance.

He'd be buried, he'd be assigned to grave with the wealthy.

Joseph of Arimathea and his friend Nicodemus would ask Pilot

for the body, and they would take him down from the cross and

wrap him in linen and aloes and MERS and lovingly lay his body

in a clean place. Not with the criminals, not with

the wicked. Just like Isaiah said would

happen. Yes, he would die like a

criminal, though he wasn't one. But he would not be buried as

one. Hallelujah.

You can't make this stuff up. Just like Isaiah said, it would

happen in advance #5 Jesus's resurrection was never in doubt.

God the Father wasn't surprised on Sunday morning, neither was

Jesus. This was the plan, friends, all

along. This was the plan to conquer

death, to die in the place of sinful man, and to defeat it on

our behalf. Describing the message of the

gospel Paul writes in First Corinthians 15.

He writes it so concisely there, but he says this as part of the

gospel message. He says, and Jesus was raised,

watch this in accordance with the Scriptures, which begs the

question, where in the Old Testament Scriptures does it

prophecy? Does it say that he would be

raised? Well in a number of places, but

none more clearly than right here over 700 years beforehand

in Isaiah 53 verses 10 through 12.

Isaiah 53:10–12

Can I read these verses for you and ask you to do something?

Can I ask you every time you hear a phrase that speaks to the

fact that Jesus is going to be alive, would you just let it

ring in your ears? Watch this.

Listen to this. Yet it was the will of the Lord

to crush him. He was put to grief.

When his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his

offspring. Does that sound like a dead man

to you? He shall prolong his days.

The will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand, as the will

of the Lord prosper in a dead man's hand.

Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied by

his knowledge. Shall the righteous one, My

servant, make many be accounted righteous, and he shall bear

their iniquities. Therefore I will divide him a

portion with the many. He shall divide the spoil with

the strong. Because he poured out his soul

to death and was numbered with the transgressors, yet he bore

the sin of many and makes intercession for the

transgressors. Listen to the description of the

resurrection Isaiah gives over 700 years in advance.

Number 1. He says this Jesus will rise to

see men and women saved. This is what the text says.

He says this, He shall see his offspring.

Death will not close his eyes forever.

The Bible has already told us here that all have strayed like

sheep, all have turned their own way.

We've all sinned against God. But guess what?

Jesus will die for their sin. But guess what further will

happen? Jesus will live to see those who

place their faith in him become his offspring, become the

children of God, become part of the faith family called the

church, become the part of the redeemed, called the Saints,

called the saved. Jesus is going to live to see

men and women, boys and girls, realize what he's done for them

and call on faith. And Jesus will live to see his

offspring. He's going to see people saved.

The question is, have you been saved?

Are you a part of the family of God?

Are you 1? Jesus is alive, seeing right now

as belonging to him. Because you've called on faith

only on Jesus's name #2 Isaiah says about the resurrection.

Jesus will rise to live forever. You notice what he says here.

He shall prolong his days. Death will not be.

Jesus is him. This is Speaking of the eternal

resurrection life of Jesus Christ.

Jesus will rise to live forever. Because he lives, we too can

experience eternal life with him.

This is one of the blessings he gives those who call on him by

faith #3 Jesus will rise to rule and reign forever.

Look at verse 10. The will of the Lord shall

prosper in his hand. Death, friends, is not going to

stop Jesus's hands from ruling. Jesus is going to be the

executor. He's going to be the doer.

He's going to be the accomplisher of the will of God

forever. And just think about how we

could summarize that. Jesus created all things.

Jesus is sustaining all things. Jesus will remake all things new

one day forever for those to be in his presence that have called

on him and received him as Lord and savior #4 Jesus, Isaiah

says, will rise and be satisfied.

It says here out of the anguish of his soul, Speaking of His

death and bearing the sins of the world, He shall see and be

satisfied. The death of Jesus will be the

door that will lead to his greatest victory.

Jesus is going to live again and be satisfied by the success of

his mission. I love how the Bible describes

it in Hebrews. After Jesus rose from the dead,

he sat down at the right hand of the Father.

You know why he sat down? Because he cried out on the

cross. It is.

It's finished. Sin, debt paid.

And now he arose from the dead, sat down at the right hand of

the Father, satisfied with the success of his mission, offering

life and righteousness and freedom to all who would call on

him by faith. Yo, Jesus is not just going to

live. He's going to succeed.

He's going to be satisfied with what he's accomplished by the

power of God, living righteously, substituting

Himself for sinners, and defeating death itself.

Next, Jesus #5 will rise to share His glory with the saved.

It says here he shall divide the spoil in verse 12 with the

strong. What does that mean?

In days of old, a military soldier was compensated by the

spoils of the wars that they won.

Defeat a village. Soldiers would plunder, take

what they wanted as part of their compensation for their

work on the battlefield. What is it saying here that he's

going to divide the spoils with the strong?

What are the spoils of the war that Jesus has won?

In the battle between good and evil, in the battle between God

and Satan, in the battle over the souls of lost men and women?

It says here he will rise to share the spoil, to share the

blessings of victory, to share the inheritance given by his

Father, to share a life, righteousness, peace with God,

eternal life, a time and place coming of no more tears, no more

pain, no more death. All the blessings that will flow

to the strong, not strong in ourselves, but strong in him,

the strength of Jesus. This is the spoils, this is the

blessings, this is the inheritance of our salvation and

all that Jesus will share with those who've called on him and

by faith have been made strong by faith and the one and only

Savior of the world. Y'all, this is what we could

call, like we said last week, the scandal of the gospel.

You say God, what do you mean by scandal?

I mean God does the unthinkable through his Son Jesus for us.

You want to know what that is? God accepts unacceptable people.

Do you know who unacceptable people are?

Me and you, because we've sinned against the holy God.

God honors shameful people. You know who shameful people is?

Me and you. God treats rebels like royalty

if they put their faith in Jesus.

God calls sinners sons and daughters.

Who does that? The God of heaven, the maker of

all things. That's scandalous.

We don't deserve it. We could never earn it, but by

faith, Jesus provides it for those of us willing to see and

believe and receive what God does for those who can never

earn it. That's scandalous.

And yet it's true. And yet This is why people hear

the preaching of the cross and call it foolishness.

But the Bible says it's the power of God for those who will

believe. Have you believed and realize

what God has done for you? Finally, number six, Jesus.

We will rise to intercede for us at the right hand of the Father.

We spoke about this earlier at our prayer time.

Listen to what Isaiah says. He bore the sin of many and

makes intercession. That's a fancy word for

prayerful pleading, makes intercession for the

transgressors. That's the sinners, that's you,

and that's me. Because Jesus is a risen Savior,

He now sits at the right hand of the Father 24/7 365 as our

living lawyer, as our advocate, when every sin and every time we

stumble and every time we do that which is wrong and doesn't

honor God and the enemy brings a case against us to the Father.

Jesus calls out your name and mine and says they've been

covered by my blood. Case dismissed immediately.

Set free from sin. We should suffer punishment and

shame for that. Jesus took it all for you and

for me. He lives to make intercession

for sinners, for you and for me at the right hand of the Father.

Friends, this is the story of the resurrection.

This is the story of the life, death, burial, and resurrection.

My question to you is, has this story changed your story?

Has it been a moment when you realized it was true and

everything changed for you because you realize what Jesus

had done for you? I was reading this morning in

Luke as the women made their way to the grave, the tomb, early on

Sunday morning. I just was writing in my journal

there. What?

What would it have been like to walk up to see the stone rolled

away? They just watched it rolled into

place the night, Friday night, and Jesus was buried Friday

afternoon. What would it have been like to

walk in and see the tomb unoccupied?

What would it have been like to hear the angels say he's not

here, He's risen? Just like he helped me out, just

like he said, and just like Isaiah said he would over 700

years beforehand? Listen, I don't know your story.

I know God does, and I know He sent His Son into this world

that he had made. And this is the story of what He

did. This is the story of who He is

all offered to you so that your story could be changed forever

because of this story. Has your story been changed

because of the resurrection story of Jesus Christ?

You may say, Pastor Kyle, I don't really know how to answer

that question. Let me see if I can help you

answer that question. Are you ready?

I came across an old African American spiritual that I think

was first printed around the year 1899.

It's been sung by the likes of the contemporary like Johnny

Cash and others. You may know the words.

Listen to it. I want you.

I want you to examine whether your story's been changed.

As I walk you through this, listen to this.

Were you there? Were you there when they

crucified my Lord? Were you there?

Were you there when they crucified my Lord?

Sometimes it causes me to tremble.

To tremble. Were you there when they

crucified my Lord? Were you there when they nailed

him to the cross? Were you there?

Have you been there? Were you there when they nailed

him to the cross? Sometimes it causes me to

tremble, to tremble. Were you there?

Have you been there, That place where they crucified my Lord?

Were you there when they pierced Him in His side?

Were you there? Were you there when they pierced

His side? Sometimes it causes me to to

tremble, to tremble, to tremble. Were you there when they pierced

my Savior in His side? Were you there when the sun

refused to shine? Were you there?

Were you there when the sun from noon to three in the afternoon

refused to shine on? The Son of God that had spoken

it into existence was paying the price of the sins of the world?

Were you there? Did you behold the reality of

the sun refusing to shine? Were you there?

Sometimes it causes me to tremble, to tremble.

Were you there when they laid him in the tomb?

Were you there? Were you there when they laid

him in the tomb? Can you imagine?

Can you imagine being there and witnessing what the women

watched when the Savior of the world, Jesus the Christ, the Son

of the living God, was laid horizontal in a tomb, tasting

death for you in advance to defeat it for you, so that that

tomb didn't have to be the end for you or for me?

Have you been there? Sometimes it causes me to

tremble. Listen, as a nine year old boy,

I realized somebody went to that cross and went to that tomb,

died for me, paid for what I had done wrong and defeated and

walked out alive. And I trembled as a nine year

old boy. It's changed my story.

It's continuing to change me today.

I've never been the same since because I've been there.

No, not physically, but by faith, the truth of the Word of

God, by the Spirit of God impressing upon my heart.

Have you been there? Have you been there?

Have you been there? Were you there when he rose up

from the grave, When the stone was rolled away, Have you been

there? Have you realized that the tomb

is empty? Have you been there?

Oh, sometimes it makes me want to shout glory, glory, glory.

Have you been there? Because if you've been there,

you can't walk away changed. I guarantee you'll shout glory

too, for what Jesus did for you that no one else could do, that

you couldn't do for yourself. Friend, if you've been there,

you know that you've been there because you've never been the

same since. Can someone truly go there?

Can someone truly see the Son of the living God in their place,

pierced, nailed, laid in a tomb, raised from the dead, and walk

away unchanged? I'm asking if you've been there,

because if you have, you've never been the same.

If you're here this morning and you haven't been there, I'm

inviting you to go there right now.

I'm inviting you to come and see what you may have never seen

before, the story of the resurrection of what Jesus did

for you. Say, Kyle, how do I come and

see? And I tell you the story of Nick

again that you saw in the video 2 Sundays ago.

I was standing right here. There was a wooden cross on the

stage right there. Nick came to talk to me, but I

was occupied. But you know who Nick did not

need? He didn't need a pastor.

He needed Jesus and he saw the cross and he was there.

He realized Jesus was there. He realized Jesus is nail.

The nail pierced hands were there.

He realized it was from there that Jesus went to the grave.

He realized it was from there. Jesus rose up to life and Nick

went there and got on his knees and gave his heart and life to

Christ. He went there.

He knows he's been there because he's not the same.

It's only been a week and 1/2 his forever is changed.

Have you been there? I'm asking you to come and see

and receive, repent of your sin and believe what Jesus did for

you and go there. The Bible says you go there by

faith, you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you

believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and

you'll be saved. I'm inviting you to do that.

I can help you do that. If you want to come talk to me,

we'll have our encouragers or the elders up here.

If I'm occupied, they'll be here.

Christian. If you're in the room that

you've been there, you're a Christian.

You know you've been saved because you know you've been

there. But if you're being really

honest, you say, Pastor Kyle, it's been a long time since I've

trembled. It's been a long time since I've

shouted glory about what Jesus has done for me.

In fact, I've strayed a long way.

I need to come back. I'm inviting you to come back.

I'm inviting you to repent of sin wherever you've gone.

I'm not asking you to be re saved.

You don't need to be re saved. You can't lose what only God can

do to begin with. I'm asking you to recommit.

I'm asking you to come back and dedicate yourself.

Come and tremble at the cross. Come, behold the Lamb of God

slain for you. That the story that the one and

only one that can change yours for forever is true.

Would you come back? Would you come back?

Would you respond the way God is calling you to respond in faith?

We're going to stand in a moment and sync and I'm going to ask

you to come. Heavenly Father, I prayed in his

next few moments. We would say yes to you.

Jesus, You alone are who we need.

I'm asking for people to come and see God.

Would you help them by faith come and see, or to come and

come back, Father, to recommit from where they've strayed,

Lord, to come back and tremble at the truth of the cross of

Christ and the empty tomb. We want to honor and glorify.

You have your way in us. We pray in Jesus name.

I ask all these things, Amen. Would you stand with me?

Would you come and repent? Come and believe as the Lord

calls you. You come.
