Christians what is Christ is ours
-
His name is ours in prayer.
-
His power, His glory, His kingdom.
-
His life are ours.
-
His cross is ours.
-
He said, if you wish to follow me, take up your cross.
-
As we just recalled
-
His cross, passion and death.
-
The worst thing ever.
-
not just the pain and suffering that endure, but that all happen to the Son of God.
-
And when we suffer with Christ, we join our suffering to Him, it is the cross.
-
And in talking to so many of you in the midst of suffering, in the midst of the cross, you said, it's nowhere near what He went through.
-
But there are some days it feels like the worst thing ever.
-
And yet, the cross becomes the greatest thing ever.
-
It's through the cross that comes so much good and victory and resurrection and salvation that is ours.
-
The story doesn't end on Good Friday.
-
Easter Sunday and beyond all the way to heaven.
-
God brings good out of the cross.
-
Why we call it Good Friday.
-
He brings good out of sin and its effects.
-
Evil, suffering, death.
-
He brings life.
-
And the Eucharist is that constant reminder for us in our ongoing suffering of this victory.
-
Victory of good, victory of life.
-
It's that reminder that He won.
-
Jesus won.
-
And we will win.
-
What is Christ is ours.
