  1. Good morning and let's begin with a word of prayer.

  2. Shall we, lord, thank you for this morning and for this family that we get to gather with and worship with.

  3. And, lord, we are thankful for the rain, but we know that that has brought hardship on thousands and thousands of people and we just pray that we can use the blessings that we have to help others that are struggling.

  4. And, lord, we just ask you to keep your hand on that situation and help the first responders and the support and just help those people going through some tough times.

  5. We thank you for your son and what he's done for us and how he modeled the ultimate example of love and sacrifice and mercy and forgiveness and Holy Spirit.

  6. We invite you in here this morning to just cover us and help us in our worship, make a pleasing sound to the Lord and thank you, father, for our blessings, and it's in your Son's name we pray, amen.

  7. Brethren, we have met to worship and adore the Lord, our God.

  8. Will you pray with all your power?

  9. While we try to preach, all is vain.

  10. Unless the Spirit of the Holy One comes down, brethren, pray, and holy manna will be showered all around, all around.

  11. Let us love our God supremely.

  12. Let us love each other too.

  13. Let us love and pray for sinners Till our God makes all things new.

  14. Then he'll call us home to heaven At his table.

  15. We'll sit down it down.

  16. Christ will gird himself and serve us with sweet manna all around.

  17. Nearer, still nearer, close to thy heart.

  18. Draw me my Savior, so Thou art Fold me, o fold me close to Thy breast.

  19. Shelter me safe in that haven of rest.

  20. Shelter me safe in that haven of rest.

  21. Pressed nearer, still nearer.

  22. Nothing I bring not as an offering to Jesus, my King.

  23. Holy my sinful, now contrite heart.

  24. Grant me the cleansing thy blood doth impart.

  25. Grant me the cleansing thy blood doth impart, nearer, still nearer, while life shall last till safe in glory.

  26. Faith and glory my anchor is cast Through endless ages, ever to be, be nearer my Savior, still nearer to thee, nearer my Savior, still nearer to thee, savior, still nearer to Thee.

  27. I could just sit, I could just sit and wait for all your goodness.

  28. Hope to feel your presence.

  29. I could just stay.

  30. I could just stay right where I am and hope to feel you Hope to feel your presence, I could just stay.

  31. I could just stay right where I am and hope to feel.

  32. You hope to feel something again.

  33. I could hold on.

  34. I could hold on to who I am and never let you change me from the inside.

  35. I could be safe.

  36. I could be safe here in your arms and never leave home, never let these walls down.

  37. You have called me higher.

  38. You have called me deeper, and I'll go where you will lead me, Lord.

  39. You have called me higher.

  40. You have called me deeper and I'll go where you will lead me, lord.

  42. I could hold on.

  43. I could hold on to who I am and never let you change me from the inside.

  44. I could be safe.

  45. I could be safe here in your arms and never leave home, never let these walls down.

  46. You have called me higher.

  47. You have called me deeper, and I'll go where you will lead me, lord.

  48. You have called me higher.

  49. You have called me higher.

  50. You have called me deeper and I'll go where you will lead me, lord.

  51. You lead me, lord.

  52. I will be yours, lord.

  53. I will be yours for all my life.

  54. So let your mercy light the path before me.

  55. I will be yours, lord.

  56. I will be yours for all my life.

  57. So let your mercy light the path before me.

  58. You have called me higher.

  59. You have called me higher.

  60. You have called me deeper, and I'll go where you will lead me.

  61. Lord, you have called me higher, you have called me deeper, and I'll go where you will lead me.

  62. Lord, me Lord.

  63. You have called me higher, you have called me deeper, and I'll go where you will lead me.

  64. Lord, you have called me higher, you have called me deeper, and I'll go where you will lead me, lord, you lead me, lord.

  65. All right, the scripture reading today is Exodus 32, verse 1.

    Exodus 32:1

  66. It says when the people saw how long it was taking Moses to come back down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said Come on.

  67. They said, make us some gods who can lead us.

  68. We don't know what happened to this fellow Moses who brought us here from the land of Egypt.

  69. All right, good morning.

  70. I'll read this quote to you.

  71. It says people are people, doing people things.

  72. Sometimes they're silly, sometimes they're desperate, sometimes they're desperate.

  73. They are just people.

  74. People are people.

  75. I'll tell you that people are people because people just do people things like this.

  76. I wish that was me.

  77. Never had that idea, not sure how they got their hand up in the x-ray machine, but they did it.

  78. People are people.

  79. Here's the next one, and I know, before I click it, I know more of you have done this than will admit it.

  80. Every one of us, every one of us, has taken that shop vac or that vacuum cleaner and thought we've all done it.

  81. Now, the best part, the best part.

  82. You may not have noticed it.

  83. Look at his wife Now.

  84. If that doesn't scream people are people, I don't know what will.

  85. And then this one's kind of strange, but you probably did it too.

  86. We've all wasted a perfectly good pencil by standing at the pencil sharpener going just to get it as small as you possibly could.

  87. I found an article this week reading through, so if you're ever bored you can go to boredpandacom.

  88. It's a thing I don't know.

  89. I don't know what else is on the website.

  90. I'll just tell you what I read.

  91. There was an article telling us about how people are people and things that people do that we don't talk about, but everybody does it.

  92. Yeah, yeah, chuck's going to go home and look it up.

  93. The first thing it said was people are people.

  94. One thing that people do that we don't tell each other we do is when you get a random phone call, you ignore it.

  95. Then you copy the number and put it into Google and see who it is.

  96. I've done that.

  97. I'm guilty.

  98. Raise your hand if you're guilty of that.

  99. Okay, now I just taught you a trick right there.

  100. Most of the time it comes up and says it's spam, but it's just something we do.

  101. One pocket holds your cell phone.

  102. The other pocket holds everything else.

  103. Does anybody else do that?

  104. It's just a common thing, right.

  105. Cell phone goes in the right pocket.

  106. Left pocket is keys, you know, flash drive, pocket knife, french fries, tater tots, whatever, whatever is going to go in that left pocket.

  107. People are people.

  108. When you need a specific item at the grocery store and you're looking for shampoo and you get to the shampoo aisle and someone's standing there looking at the shampoo, what do you do?

  109. You look at the shaving cream.

  110. You don't need shaving cream.

  111. You don't need shaving cream.

  112. You're just waiting.

  113. And then when they walk away from the shampoo, you go oh yeah, give me the shampoo.

  114. We do that.

  115. Right, I'm not the only one that does that.

  116. Okay, and then, last one, people are people because when we walk into a store and we need a specific item, and we look for that item and they don't have it and you decide to walk out.

  117. Many of us, when we walk out, feel like we're shoplifting, we didn't take anything, but you're walking out of the store empty-handed.

  118. It's not something you should do.

  119. So you're like I and the lady at the end that's checking your receipt and you're like I didn't steal anything, but you feel like it Anybody else done that before.

  120. I do that all the time you run in for the item.

  121. They don't have it so you can walk back out.

  122. And when you're walking out you're like I feel like I stole something, but I didn't, I didn't steal.

  123. First point on your outline this morning, as we kind of get started, is people are people.

  124. This morning we are going to wrap up our series on being blended, and what we learned, hopefully, this morning is I wanted to share this with you because I think, as we talk about Moses and Aaron, it would be really easy to look at the life of Moses and Aaron and say they had it all together.

  125. They did great things, they did awesome things.

  126. We're reading it.

  127. It's great evidence that God used them and did some wonderful things, but the truth is is that Aaron and Moses were not always on the same page.

  128. There was actually times where Moses and Aaron weren't thinking the same thing and in fact, they didn't have the same agenda.

  129. And so what we're going to pick up this morning?

  130. We're going to be in Exodus, chapter 32, if you're following along, but you'll notice if you've been here the last few weeks we're jumping quite a bit.

    Exodus 32 chapter mention

  131. A lot has happened.

  132. The Israelites have reached Mount Sinai.

  133. They've made a covenant with God.

  134. God has revealed himself to them there at the mountain in a cloud.

  135. Moses has went up on top of the mountain to be a representation for the people.

  136. Does anybody know what Moses is receiving while he's up there on top of the mountain?

  137. The Ten Commandments, very good, you guys know.

  138. He's also getting the tabernacle plans of how they can build the tabernacle so that they can get to a place where they can be in the presence of God.

  139. Really, if you think about it, that was.

  140. The purpose of the tabernacle was to create a place where the high priest could come into the Holy of Holies and be in the presence of God.

  141. He's also getting the blueprints for the Ark of the Covenant, and so what God is doing on top of the mountain is developing a plan for his people to become closer to him.

  142. Does that make sense?

  143. It's really what he's doing.

  144. He's given Moses the Ten Commandments and saying here's how you should live.

  145. And when you live that way, guess how you're going to feel connected to God.

  146. Right?

  147. Because when we live, when we feel like we're living, right, don't you feel more connected to God?

  148. And so God is preparing the Ten Commandments and saying Moses, this is for your people to feel connected.

  149. And here is the tabernacle so you can be in the presence of God.

  150. Here is the Ark of the Covenant so I can put you in the presence of God.

  151. But the problem is is Moses is the only one on the mountain.

  152. Aaron and the Israelites are at the bottom and they are not recognizing that God is working in that way.

  153. In fact they kind of feel like God's ignoring them.

  154. As we read through here this morning, it says when the people saw how long it was taking Moses to come back down the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said Come on.

  155. They said make us some gods who can lead us.

  156. We don't know what happened to that fellow Moses.

  157. It's like he's a distant friend now.

  158. We don't know what happened to that guy who brought us here out of the land of Egypt.

  159. Moses was taking a while and we read that and we think, oh, he hadn't been gone that long.

  160. But if you look at it, he's been gone 40 days.

  161. He's been gone 40 nights.

  162. So time has passed and the Israelites and Aaron are kind of feeling this distance between them and God.

  163. But the truth is is that God is on the mountain telling Moses how they can get closer to God.

  164. But the people there on the bottom don't know that.

  165. And so it leads us to point number one.

  166. Number one here people are impatient.

  167. One of the ten commandments was that there should be no other God.

  168. There shall be no idols.

  169. Guess what the people want Aaron to do, god there shall be no idols.

  170. Guess what the people want Aaron to do?

  171. You think God knew this was going to happen.

  172. Number one on the list no other God.

  173. The moment they didn't feel God, in a moment, they abandoned him.

  174. Little did they know that God was telling Moses how they could get closer.

  175. They knew God, they experienced God.

  176. They were at Mount Sinai, they've experienced him, but this moment of not knowing has led them to feeling like they need to find something else.

  177. So, as we keep reading here, in verse 2, it says so Aaron said Take out the gold rings from the ears of your wives and your sons and your daughters and bring them to me.

  178. And all of the people took the gold rings from.

  179. So they come to Aaron and they say hey, aaron, we need some other gods.

  180. And Aaron says okay, well, give me all your gold.

  181. And what do the people do?

  182. They give them the gold.

  183. They're generous to what they care about.

  184. There's no hesitation.

  185. They give up all their valuables in order to find a God.

  186. Woody has said it before and it's true no-transcript, because you give to what's important to you, and so they want a God.

  187. They're clinging for a God, they're searching for something to lead them, and so they're willing to throw away everything literally to just have a potential at a God.

  188. That leads us to another point.

  189. People are foolish.

  190. Nothing groundbreaking today, right, it's all easy stuff.

  191. Here we are.

  192. We are silly people.

  193. I want to go back for just a second here.

  194. Then Aaron took the gold and melted it down and molded it into the shape of a calf.

  195. When the people saw it, they said O Israel, these are the gods that brought you out of the land of Egypt.

  196. People are foolish.

  197. That idol did not exist an hour ago, so how did it lead them out of Egypt?

  198. But here they are, they're going to worship that thing because it brought them out of Egypt.

  199. People are foolish.

  200. But Aaron saw how excited the people were, so he built an altar in front of the calf and then he announced tomorrow there will be a festival to the Lord.

  201. And the people got up early the next morning to sacrifice the burnt offering and the peace offering.

  202. People love to be loved by people.

  203. Right.

  204. We love to be loved by people.

  205. I don't even have that on there, do I?

  206. Okay, there it is.

  207. Is that on your outline?

  208. Yeah, there you go.

  209. Fill that out real quick.

  210. People love to be loved by people.

  211. I want you to think about it, though.

  212. Most of the decisions we make in life is to get the approval of other people.

  213. It's the truth.

  214. It's what we do In Aaron's case.

  215. Many people have questioned him and Moses.

  216. They've questioned them, bringing them out of Egypt.

  217. They've disliked them, and so it's no surprise, really, if you read through this story.

  218. It's no surprise that the moment they start to show an interest in a liking of Aaron, aaron jumps at it and says okay, let's just do whatever the people want, because I want people to like me.

  219. We would all probably do the same thing if we were Aaron.

  220. It's easy to sit here and say, aaron, what were you thinking?

  221. But then we do the same thing.

  222. So he begins to organize worship to the idol.

  223. They thought they could give honor to the Lord through the golden calf.

  224. They didn't want to take away God, they just wanted to add the calf to the situation.

  225. If you read through it, it says that they so they build an altar in front of the house and then announce tomorrow will be a festival to the Lord.

  226. So who's the festival for?

  227. To the Lord, but what are they going to worship?

  228. People are foolish, right.

  229. What takes up most of your time?

  230. This is a real question.

  231. Shout it out to me.

  232. What takes up most of your time?

  233. Work, okay.

  234. So we're going to say work, this is our life, everybody got it.

  235. Work, all right.

  236. What else takes up your time?

  237. Kids, amen.

  238. What else takes up your time?

  239. We're going to category kids as family.

  240. Okay, can we do that?

  241. So that counts husbands and wives too.

  242. All right, what else takes up our time?

  243. Hobbies?

  244. Very good.

  245. Doug Frame was in the 830.

  246. He said flying.

  247. I said not everybody, doug, just you.

  248. What else takes up our time?

  249. Sleep?

  250. What else takes up our time?

  251. Shopping, okay, that's a good point.

  252. There's just things we have to do, right.

  253. We have to go to the doctor, we have to go to the grocery store, we have to go to the gas station, so there's all of these things.

  254. Okay, we got it up.

  255. It's pretty full, right.

  256. So where does God fit into this?

  257. He doesn't really fit, does he?

  258. Because it's out of order?

  259. It's out of order, moses, or not Moses?

  260. He's on the good side of this story.

  261. Aaron gets the order wrong.

  262. Aaron's more concerned about the people and their likings and their desire, so he fills it up with all of that and then he says oh God, you can be on top.

  263. But the problem is is that God doesn't really fit, and so the proper order is, as we know, this this is our Bible school.

  264. You know junior worship.

  265. Answer God has to be the center of what.

  266. He's got to be the center of it.

  267. He's got to be the middle of it.

  268. So we're going to put God right in the middle.

  269. Guess what happens?

  270. When we put God in the middle, everything else fits.

  271. Watch this, maybe it'll work.

  272. If it doesn't work, I'm blaming TikTok.

  273. We lost a few things along the way, but it's all right.

  274. Sometimes you've got to shake life up a little bit.

  275. It fits right.

  276. God's in there somewhere.

  277. God's somewhere in there in the middle.

  278. That thing might tip, but we have to have the order right.

  279. Does that make sense?

  280. We have to put things in the right order.

  281. God has to be the center, and when we put God in the center, then everything else can flow into it.

  282. God can be in our hobbies, the things that we enjoy.

  283. God can work through.

  284. God can be in our work.

  285. Yes, we have to work, but God can be in the middle of it.

  286. God can be in the center of our family.

  287. Yes, families are tough, kids are challenging and they're tiring and they wear us out and sometimes they're annoying and all of those things.

  288. But if we put God in the center, he can work through that as well.

  289. I don't know about sleep yet.

  290. Maybe I don't know how I'm going to work that one in there.

  291. But our everyday needs when we go to the grocery store, if God is at the center of our lives, guess who we're pointing to?

  292. As we're in the grocery store, we're pointing to God.

  293. We're pointing to Jesus Aaron.

  294. In the grocery store, we're pointing to God.

  295. We're pointing to Jesus Aaron in the first moment where things kind of get distant, decides to take the needs of other people and the liking of other people and says that's the center, and then God doesn't really fit into the picture.

  296. So we're going to continue our story here.

  297. We start in verse 7, I believe.

  298. Nope, we're not Okay.

  299. I'm going to read to you verse 7.

  300. The Lord told Moses God intervenes here.

  301. Moses is still on the mountain.

  302. The Israelites and Aaron are now worshiping the golden calf.

  303. And so the Lord told Moses quick, go down to the mountain.

  304. Your people Notice that God told Moses quick, go down the mountain.

  305. Your people, whom you brought from the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves.

  306. How quickly they have turned away from the things that I have commanded them to live.

  307. They have melted down gold and have made a calf and they have bowed down and sacrificed to it.

  308. They are saying these are your gods, israel, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.

  309. Then the Lord said I have seen how stubborn and rebellious these people are.

  310. Now leave me alone so my fierce anger can blaze against them.

  311. I will destroy them and then I will make you, moses, into a great nation.

  312. So the people of Israel thought God was ignoring them.

  313. Was God ignoring them?

  314. No, he had seen everything that had happened.

  315. God is angry.

  316. Angry.

  317. Moses steps in in a very interesting interaction.

  318. I want you to notice what Moses does.

  319. This is his response.

  320. We're going to kind of work through this.

  321. The first thing we have to do is view people as God's creation.

  322. That's what Moses does.

  323. He says oh Lord, why are you so angry with your own people?

  324. This is a very interesting interaction, because verse 7 tells us that God tells Moses your people are corrupt and have turned away from me.

  325. But in verse 11, you kind of see Moses' response and he says God, it's your people, it's your own people.

  326. Why are you so angry with your people, moses?

  327. It's taken a long time.

  328. It's taken 32 chapters.

  329. Moses is now viewing God's creation, or viewing people as God's creation, and I think that's what God has been trying to get him to do this whole time.

  330. Moses, go help the people.

  331. Well, I'm not good enough, moses, it's not about you, it's about God's creation.

  332. Well, moses, go and do this.

  333. Well, I can't do that.

  334. Well, moses, it's not about you, it's about God's creation.

  335. It finally clicks for Moses.

  336. It's about you, it's about God's creation.

  337. It finally clicks for Moses.

  338. Yes, they are idol-worshipping, foolish people, but they are your people, god.

  339. So that punk in your neighborhood is a creation of God and needs you to show them the love of Christ.

  340. Your boss is a creation of God and needs you to show him the love of Christ.

  341. That one student in your class that's really, really something is a creation of God and needs you to show them the love of Christ.

  342. That coach that you can't stand and you think, makes all the terrible decisions.

  343. Guess what?

  344. He is a creation of God and needs you to show him the love of Christ.

  345. That person that makes you absolutely boil with the way that they handle things and situations is a creation of God and needs you to show them the love of Christ.

  346. Moses stops.

  347. Think about who he's talking to.

  348. Moses says God, this is your creation, these are your people, and we need to view all people as a creation of God.

  349. Yes, there are Some people that test us, but you know what.

  350. They were created by God, just like I was and like I am, and you know what I might drive people crazy too.

  351. This morning, we're going to take just a few minutes with each one of these points and pray for potters.

  352. It's a special Sunday and we want to lift them up, and so I've asked Adam.

  353. Adam's going to come up and lead a prayer for Potter's children's home this morning, just that those children's will.

  354. Those children will know that they are a creation of God, that, yes, life might have dealt them a crazy hand and and things may have not seemed like God has control, but they are a creation of God, and so I've asked Adam to just go ahead and lead us in a prayer that those guys would know that as well.

  355. You tap that bottom button, it'll turn green.

  356. All right.

  357. Would you pray with me, Heavenly Father?

  358. God, you are the creator, lord, you are the author, you are the almighty Lord.

  359. You, god, created us in your image, lord.

  360. When you finished, it was good, and for that we thank you.

  361. God.

  362. Then you gave us the perfect example to follow in Christ, and, god, help us resemble him and live a life like him as much as we possibly can.

  363. Him, and live a life like him as much as we possibly can.

  364. God, you created all of mankind.

  365. We are all worthy.

  366. We all have value.

  367. Lord, as long as we're in you, help us, lord, to use that worthiness and that value and the skill sets that you've given us, lord, to further your kingdom and continue to bless others.

  368. God, I pray, especially right now, for Potters, lord, I pray for each and every one of those kids, lord.

  369. It's such an amazing ministry, lord, and I pray that your kingdom will be furthered with that ministry and you will bless everybody that touches that ministry and that's a part of that ministry, god, I offer this prayer in Christ's name, amen.

  370. Thank you, adam.

  371. All right, as we continue here.

  372. Point number two is how do we deal with people, because people are people.

  373. How do we deal with it?

  374. Well, we deal with people with grace.

  375. I want you to notice what Moses does next, because, remember, god is saying to him just do nothing, and I'm going to wipe out these people and we'll start over.

  376. We just wipe them out and we'll start completely over.

  377. They've made too many mistakes, they've messed up.

  378. Just do this.

  379. Moses reminds God it is you.

  380. It is you that brought them from the land of Egypt with your great power and with your great hand, strong hand.

  381. Moses says Lord, we didn't deserve to be brought out of Egypt when it began with.

  382. We weren't good people then, but you still showed us love and grace.

  383. You brought us out Not because we deserved it, but because of how good you are.

  384. Don't stop dealing with us without grace.

  385. Please keep showing us grace, don't?

  386. We need God's grace every day.

  387. Everybody should be shaking their head.

  388. We need God's grace every day.

  389. Moses asked God to continue to show his people God's grace, to continue to show them love, to continue to treat them in a way that they deserved.

  390. I don't like to get jumped right.

  391. So why do we like jumping on people?

  392. Why is it that we try to slam people?

  393. When I am in a weak moment, you know what I want to feel.

  394. I want to feel loved.

  395. I don't want to feel belittled, I don't want to be talked down to.

  396. Maybe, instead of belittling someone or saying I can't believe, did you hear, did you know?

  397. Maybe ask how you can help in this situation, that's what Moses is doing.

  398. He's saying God, just stay with him, don't give up on him.

  399. It's almost it's kind of I don't know a good word for it.

  400. It's almost it's kind of I don't know a good word for it.

  401. It's kind of disgusting that I want God to show me grace, but I don't want him to show it to anybody else, or that I don't want to show an ounce of grace to somebody else.

  402. Remember, you and I are broken people and it's only through God, and only God, that we are forgiven.

  403. I think sometimes we want to cap God's ability because we feel really good about where we're at, but the truth is, is God showed you grace?

  404. Allow him to work in other people's life too.

  405. I think so many times we just say man, I can't believe what they're doing it's like well, you did the same thing.

  406. Now you've experienced God's grace.

  407. Allow God's grace to allow someone else to experience it as well.

  408. Moses is reminding God.

  409. It was you, God, you showed us great grace and love by sending us out of Egypt.

  410. It was you.

  411. We weren't worthy, it was all.

  412. You Continue to show us that grace.

  413. This morning, steeler's going to come up and Steeler's going to lead a prayer again this morning, and it's a prayer that we can all experience God's grace, but also a prayer that those children, those who are at Potters, that they can experience and understand the love and grace of God.

  414. And it's for those who are helping with those kids that they will show them the grace of God and those kids will understand that.

  415. Steeler, if it's green, there you go, brother.

  416. Every time I come up here, I think that they turn the thermostat up to like 100 degrees.

  417. I'm just like burning up.

  418. It's these lights right here.

  419. It's like a tanning bed.

  420. It's every time I'm up here we can go to God in prayer.

  421. Dear Heavenly Father, I just ask that you continue to bless us with opportunities like these gleaner cans to shine your light on these kids in Potter's Children Home.

  422. Just allow us to show them God's grace.

  423. Show them your grace, lord, in any kid, adult or elderly that is struggling or going through hard times.

  424. Just allow us to show them your grace too, Lord.

  425. I also would like to pray for foster parents.

  426. They are in that same world and just allow them to show these kids your grace and how great you are, and show them that they are worth something.

  427. Show them that they have the same value as anybody else on this earth.

  428. Lord, I thank you for allowing us to come here today and congregate to celebrate you and learn about your teachings.

  429. In Jesus' name, I pray, amen.

  430. Amen.

  431. Thank you, steely.

  432. Just tap that button.

  433. Yeah, you got it.

  434. You got it, man, All right.

  435. And lastly, be concerned with honoring God and concerned with honoring God's name.

  436. I want to point out what happens here in verse 12.

  437. This is Moses continually.

  438. He hasn't left the mountain yet.

  439. He's still talking to God.

  440. He hasn't gone down and reached the people of Israel yet because he's having this conversation with God, because he's left.

  441. In this moment where God wants to quit, god wants to say let's just wipe them out and let's start over.

  442. This is what Moses reminds God.

  443. He says why let the Egyptians say their God rescued them from the evil intention of the slaughtering.

  444. Let's try that again.

  445. Their God rescued them with the evil intention of slaughtering them in the mountains and wiping them from the face of the earth.

  446. Turn away from your fierce anger.

  447. Change your mind about this terrible disaster you have threatened against your people.

  448. So the Lord changed his mind about the terrible disaster that he had threatened to bring on his people.

  449. So the Lord changed his mind about the terrible disaster that he had threatened to bring on his people.

  450. Moses had a compassion for people, but Moses's compassion had a greater compassion for honoring God's name.

  451. He didn't want anybody to think differently or to think poorly of God because of what might happen next.

  452. And so he reminds God.

  453. He says God, if you wipe out the Israelites, then the Egyptians are going to say what a God he is.

  454. Took him out to only kill him.

  455. Moses was concerned with the name of God.

  456. What if we fell so in love with God that we based our decisions on how it would affect the name of God?

  457. Not how it would affect me, not how it's going to affect other people, but how it would affect the name of God?

  458. What if we made our decisions based on that?

  459. What if we said I'm not going to say this about that person because that might alter how they view God, because I claim to be a Christian but then I talk to people about other people.

  460. What if I didn't do this action because it might alter someone else's view on God?

  461. I want everything I do to reflect the love of Jesus.

  462. I want everything we do as a church family to reflect the love of God.

  463. We want everything that Potters is doing.

  464. That's why we support Potters and promote Potters and everything, because what they're doing is promoting the love of God to people.

  465. And so this morning I've asked Kevin Kevin's going to come up and lead us in one more prayer that Potters will continue to share the love of God with people and that we, as Stop 9, will continue to share God's love with people.

  466. Let's bow.

  467. Holy Father, thank you for this day.

  468. Thank you, lord, for Potter's Children's Home and thank you for the prayers that we offer today, lord, on this special day for them.

  469. Father, we ask a specific prayer and we thank you for hearing our prayers.

  470. Lord, we know that you hear and answer our prayers according to your will.

  471. We pray, father, especially for Potters and the staff there, the workers, any volunteers that work there and the influence that they have on the children.

  472. Father, your word tells us that the world will know that we love one another and that we love them by what we do for others and the love that we show.

  473. Father, be with the workers there.

  474. Help them to keep selfish desires out of their decisions that they make.

  475. Help them to show your love to the community in that area, in that specific area there, and throughout their state and throughout this country and throughout the world.

  476. Lord, help us to be aware that the world is watching and even the most skeptic people possible can argue with loving each other and helping each other and the influence that that has.

  477. In Jesus' name, we pray Amen.

  478. Thank you, kevin.

  479. To summarize it all the last four weeks, here's what happens Moses.

  480. Moses, by being blended with people, developed the love and the heart of God.

  481. That's what happened.

  482. You read about it there at the end of Exodus, chapter 32.

    Exodus 32 chapter mention

  483. Moses is standing up for God's people and he's saying God, that's your creation.

  484. God, show them grace and God, allow them to continue to live in such a way that they can bring glory and honor to you.

  485. Moses struggled with that at the beginning.

  486. He thought it was all about himself.

  487. We talked about that.

  488. But as he was blended with people, as he went throughout these stories, he developed a heart that said I want to serve God with everything I have.

  489. I want to live for God in every way that I can.

  490. I want to express love to people so that they can understand the will and the love of God.

  491. So Moses is developed by being blended and it's my hope and prayer that we are developed and develop a heart and a love for God by being blended with one another.

  492. Let's pray, father.

  493. God, we thank you so much for this morning.

  494. God, we thank you for the way that you work in our life.

  495. God, we're thankful for the life of Moses and the way that you continue to use him, god, that you didn't give up on him, but you continued to strive to use him in a way that would point people to you.

  496. God, I pray that each and every person in this room knows that you have the power and the ability to use them, that we've all been given gifts and talents and just ways for you to work in our life, and, god, I pray that we can trust those.

  497. God, I pray that we know that we are loved by you, that we are created by you, that we are your handiwork, god, that you've created us.

  498. God, I pray that we understand and can live in your grace, not in a way of fear, but in a way that we know that that everything that we do bring glory and honor to you, it's in Jesus' name, I pray, amen.

  499. I know the Lord will find a way for me.

  500. I know the Lord will find a way for me, me, if I walk in heaven's light, shun the wrong and do the right.

  501. I know the Lord will find a way for me.

  502. Won't it be grand to hear Him say well done.

  503. Won't it be grand to hear Him say well done.

  504. If I walk in heaven's light, Shun the wrong and do the right, Won't it be grand to hear Him say Well done.

  505. I love you, lord, oh, your mercy never fails me.

  506. All my days I've been held in your hands, from the moment that.

  507. I wake up.

  508. Until I lay my head, I will sing of the goodness of God.

  509. All my life you have been so, so good.

  510. With every breath that I am able, I will sing of the goodness of God.

  511. I love your voice.

  512. You have led me through the fire in darkest night.

  513. You are close like no other.

  514. I've known you as a father.

  515. I've known you as a friend.

  516. I've known you as a friend.

  517. I have lived in the goodness of God all my life, all my life, you have been faithful.

  518. All my life, all my life, you have been so, so good.

  519. With every breath that I am able, I will sing of the goodness of God, of God.

  520. Your goodness is running after it's running after me.

  521. Your goodness is running after it's running after me.

  522. With my life laid down, I surrender now.

  523. I give you everything.

  524. Your goodness is running after, it's running after me.

  525. Your goodness is running after, it's running after me.

  526. Your goodness is running after, it's running after me, with my life laid down.

  527. I surrender now.

  528. I give you everything your goodness is running after.

  529. It's running after me.

  530. All my life you have been faithful.

  531. All my life, all my life, you have been so, so good.

  532. With every breath that I am able, I will sing of the goodness of God.

  533. I will sing of the goodness of God.

  534. Amen.

  535. God bless you everybody.

  536. Have a great week.

  537. Pray for potters this week.

  538. Be safe.

  539. We love you.
