Pastor Tim Dunn "Awaken" (Sunday 5-4-25)

God has given us our heading. Join us today as

we listen to the Word, and we pray that God

speaks to you.

In this message Isaiah fifty nine to nineteen. So shall

they fear the name of the Lord from the west

and his glory from the rising of the sun. When

the enemy comes in like a flood, hallelujah, When the

enemy comes in like a flood. I will tell you this.

As we were singing this song and people were responding

in different ways, the enemy of distraction and hindrance was

here also, and it was warring against the power of

the Holy Ghost. And he was trying to steal your mind.

And he was trying to steal your attention. He was

trying to confuse you. He was trying to pull your

thoughts away from what God was trying to do. Amen,

every enemy in the name of Jesus Christ, right now. Amen,

Because when the enemy comes in like a flood, the

spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. Amen.

This is what that means. It's a reference back to

ancient battle, and it's holding up a banner saying, archers,

arm yourself. It's holding up a banner for the infantrymen,

it's holding up a banner for different divisions of the army.

And what the Lord is saying in this verse through

the prophet Isaiah is he says, I am raising my

own banner up to signify and signal to you that

I am stepping into the battle. I am inviting myself

into the arena of your struggle, of your fight, of

your giant And no longer is this your fight, but

the battle now belongs to the Lord. Hallelu That's why

Isaiah said, the spirit of the Lord will lift up.

He didn't say I lift up. He didn't say you

will lift up. He didn't say we will lift up.

The Lord has invited himself into your situation, and if

you'll just let go, God will step in and take

control right now, hallelujah. And that's what he was trying

to do, and not trying, he was doing it. He

was stepping in as we begin to sing, and as

people were praying, and as you reached over and grabbed

a hold of two or three, all right, you can

sit down. I'll have you stand all day as you

begin to touch one or two and agree with one

with two or three. Amen. That banner was raised, and

he was stepping into the middle of your struggle and

of your fight. Hallelujah, hallelujah. That's what was happening. I'm

gonna finish that script that few verses, verse twenty. The

Redeemer will come, designing to those who turn from transgression.

And Jacob says the Lord. As for me, says the Lord,

this is my covenant with them. My spirit who is

upon you, and my words which I have put in

your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth nor from

the mouth of your descendant, descendants, descendants, saith the Lord,

from this time and forever more. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Amen. When

the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of

the Lord will raise up a standard against him. That

phrase lift up a standard against him is a lot

of words, but it means basically this in Hebrews to

sin to make the enemy take flight, That's what it means,

make the enemy take flight.

Hallelujah, hallelujah.

And that's what he's come to do today. Anybody believe

that it's what He's come to do.

Today.

I want to show you how God works. There was

a little bit of not a little bit, there was

quite a bit of a question mark on today. My

wife got started getting sick this week, and not anything

contagious or anything, but just sick. Wasn't feeling well. Everybody's like,

oh lord, I heard got leprosy. She started it was

in her throat and got to the point where it

settled into her lungs, and she, you know, just was off.

You know, you get that wheezing, it said, you know,

like like that wheeze, like wheezy. It's like.

That was happening.

And uh so a little bit of bronchitis settled into

her lungs, which when that happens, you know, using your

vocal chords and your lungs to breathe and all of

that stuff is then hindered. It's restricted, right, it's restricted.

And so we were on the way to church. She's like,

I don't know how this is gonna go. She goes,

I may be able to sing, I may not. I

was like, well, you know, just we'll do our best.

And honestly, this last song that we sang that's a

pretty tough song. It wasn't hard for me, but it's

a tough song for them. But I want to tell you,

I want to. I want to. I want to show

you how God works. And this is just a small thing.

I know we're cutting up, laughing, It's okay, but I

wanted this is just a indication of how God works

on a much larger scale, larger than we can even fathom. Okay,

Because His thoughts are greater than ours. We know Isaiah

fifty five right, His ways are greater than ours.

Amen.

And so she gets up there and she's able to sing,

she's still standing. She start dying. You know, she may

not have a voice later.

But that's okay.

Almost got me in trouble right there. But you see,

when you make a decision to give what you got

to God, even if it's limited, even if it's hindered,

you give it to God, He will bless it, he

will anoint it, and he will empower it.

Amen.

Because there is nothing that can match the power of

God in our life. Amen. There is no force on earth,

there is no force out of this earth that can

match the power of God working in our life. Amen.

It doesn't matter the lie the enemy tries to tell you,

it doesn't matter how your own few otherwise. The power

of God is real, and it works every time in

our life. Amen. And so my whole thought today is awakened.

I want I want to I want to share a

little piece of history with you. You've heard it a

thousand times. December seventh, nineteen forty one, Japan attacks Pearl Harbor.

The United States is thrust into World War II. It

is it is credited to Admiral Yamamoto to have said

these words after America enters the World War. I fear

all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant

and fill him with a terrible resolve. Amen, awaken a

sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve. I

still believe there is a force of people that are

still filled with the power of the spirit of God

and a resolve to see the power of God at work. Amen.

Amen.

I believe that. I believe there are people that have

that believe that when you pray, God answers. I believe

there's still a church that will stand for the word

of God. I still believe that. And I'm not just

talking about us. I mean the Church of the Living God,

the Global International Church. There are believers. It doesn't matter

the sign over the door or at the road. I

believe there are people of God who believe that when

I pray, the power of bad is relieved, works and

he performs miracles. Hallelujah. Amen. Paul wrote in Romans eight

thirty one, what shall we say then to these things?

If God is for us, who can be against us? Amen?

It's time for the church to wake up.

Hallelujah.

It's time to wake up. It's not we're not playing

church here. We're not just meeting because we have nothing

else to do. Amen. It's time to awaken to the

realization that the power of God is able to move

in our life and through our life. Amen. It's time

to awaken to the understanding that there is a spiritual

battle happening. We can't stick our head in the sand

and pretend that we don't see it and it'll all

just magically go away. Amen. We cannot be the fact

that the enemy is standing at the door and the

gates of Hell are trying to advance against the souls

of humanity. We can't be ignorant to that fact. Amen.

We've got to understand that we have to open our

eyes and realize that, yes, there are some physical ramifications,

but this is and always has been a spiritual battle

that happens on our knees. Amen. And if the church

isn't praying, then we aren't fighting. Hallelujah. We have to

wake up, Amen. We have to wake up to the

realization that the power of God is available in your

life and in my life. Amen. And if I am

spirit filled, I am not defeated. Amen. If you are

spirit filled, you are not defeated. Amen. Your flesh may

be weak, but the power of God in you doesn't

know any weakness, has no weakness. Hallelujah. Amen. This whole

mentality of Christians having no backbone is not how it

was designed to work. Hallelujah. I'm not mad at you.

I'm just really passionate. I don't get this confused. I'm

not upset frustrated. Amen. I really want you to understand

what we have at our disposal. Amen. Amen, this whole idea,

this is the greatest example I can and I love

this example. Peter and John go to in Acts chapter three,

they go to the gate. There's the lame man standing

there and he's asking for money, just to get a

meal for the day, and they say, silver and gold

have I none, But such as I have, what did

they have? They had the power of the Holy Ghost

in them. Amen. They didn't touch him, they didn't take

him to the hospital. They spoke with authority. Hallelujah. Jesus

said this. These are the words of Jesus. Don't throw

stones at me. I'm just the middleman. Jesus said this

all of us, not just here, but everyone will give

an account for the words that we speak.

Hallelujah.

That's pretty serious.

Amen.

I will give an account not to just what I

speak on Sunday, but what I speak out of frustration

on Monday. Amen. Peter and John says, such as I

have I give you. They didn't hand him anything, They

didn't even touch 'em. They just spoke and the power

was released and instantly healed that man. You know why

because faith was present.

Yep.

This is I've had this discussion. I've had people ask me,

and I've given my opinion for what it's worth. It

may not be worth the hill of beans, but I've

given it. Why don't we see the miracles that they

saw here in America. And my only answer and my

only explanation is if is because we have lost faith

in the supernatural. Amen, we have lost faith in it.

I'm not speaking personally to you, if you believe, and

so I'm talking as a whole. The church has lost

faith in the supernatural. Amen. Amen. I believe that when

we speak, God moves.

Yeah, hallelujah.

There is power in the spoken word of the people

of God. Man. That's why you need. You need to

be speaking over the right things and speaking the right

things over those things in your life. Hallelujah. Paul wrote

to the in Romans chapter thirteen. I want you to

understand right now is not the time to give in,

to back up, or let down. Amen. We cannot allow

the power of God to sit on a shelf. Amen,

Paul said, And do this knowing the time that now

it is high time to awake out of sleep. For

now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand.

Let us cast off the works of darkness and let

us put on the armor of light. Hallelujah. It's time

for the people of God to awaken to the power

that is dwelling within us. It is the power that

is not subject to time, to weakness or circumstance. It

is a power that delivers anybody testify, hallelujah. It is

anybody testify. Amen. It is a power that conquers anybody. Testify.

And it is a power that is activated by a

small act of faith. Hallelujah. That's all it takes. You

simply have to believe it. If you believe it, he

will do it. There's no other requirements, there's no other equation.

Simply believe and speak it and it will happen. And

as I say that right now, I know the thoughts

that are going going through some minds. Yeah. But and

the enemy loves the Yeah. But because that's the first

way he gets to explain the power of God and

faith to believe out of your life. Yeah, but this time, Yeah,

but this time. This lady that cuts my hair, her

name is Bobby. She's about sixty nine, seventy years old.

Wonderful lady. We talk about everything in life when she

cuts my hair. We were talking about the Lord this

last time, and she was telling me a story and

she said, you know, years ago church I was attending,

She said, my husband was on the board and we

were trying to buy some land connected to our current

building and land. And she said it was like seven

family members involved in purchasing this land. And she said,

like family, they just they couldn't agree. They did herd

all this stuff, and she says, my husband came home

one night after a board meeting and he was frustrated

and he was upset. He was this ain't ever gonna happen,

and he was given all these excuses, and she said, hey,

can I ask you a question? And he said sure,

And she asked him, have you and the board walked

that land and prayed over It sounds pretty reasonable, No,

he said. She's like, well, since you've tried everything else,

why don't you try that. Oh well, So he got

the rest of the people, the board members together that

next day or no, actually that night. I'm sorry, this

is a conversation that happened in the afternoon. That night.

They got together and they walked over on that land

and they began to pray. They prayed I don't know

for how long, she didn't say, and then they went home.

The next morning. The phone rang in the middle of

the night. The craziest thing happened. All seven family members

agreed and signed, and that land was then bought by

that church. It's amazing how that happens. Amen. Faith activates

his power.

Amen.

Faith, And so the enemy attacks our minds because he

wants to rob us of the faith, because he knows

that if faith is present.

His power can work.

Amen.

And so I can tell you scriptures about you being

more than conquerors. I can tell you scriptures that no

weapon formed will prosper or or or where Jesus's greater things?

Will you do the greater thing than these? Will you do?

We can go through scripture after scripture after scripture, and

I can tell you all of these things, and you

can sit there and listen to them. But it doesn't

do us any good if you don't believe it. Right,

So I have one question, as my wife comes back

to the piano. Do you believe? Let me expound on that.

I'm not asking you if you believe me. I'm asking

if you believe that God will do what you've been

asking him to do. Do you believe it?

Hallelujah? Amen?

If you believe it, He'll do.

It, hallelujah.

Ephesians Chapter one as you stand with me, hallelujah, hallelujah,

the eyes of your understanding being opened. That's what that

word enlightened means, that you may know what is the

hope of His calling, what are the riches of the

glory of His inheritance, and what is the exceeding greatness

of His power toward you? That what believe power toward you.

That belief.

Hallelujah.

Do you believe? Do you believe that right now God

will perform your miracle? Hallelujah, Amen, hallelujah. Do you believe?

Do you really truly believe it? Don't tell me, tell

him right now. Go ahead, don't wait on.

Me, hallelujah, hallelujah.

Let your faith be known to him right now, in

the name.

Of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, in the name

of Jesus, God of Heaven, right now, hallelujah.

I can't believe it for you as bad as I

want to, hallelujah. If you'll believe it, and you'll stand

on that belief right now, God will perform it before

you leave this place in the next few minutes. In

the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. Lord I pray right now

that faith be released in this place in the mighty

name of Jesus. In the Mighty Name of Jesus. I

don't know what they're asking for. I don't know what

they've been asking you for. I don't know what they've

been calling on you for. Lord, I'm asking you. Lord.

If faith is present, then perform it right now.

In the name of Jesus.

If it's a healing, Lord, I pray your healing is

released right now in Jesus' name. If it's an answer, Lord,

I pray your voice be heard in their heart and

their life and their spirit right now in the name

of Jesus, hallelujah. If it's restoration, God, then do it

right now. If faith is present, then do it right now, hallelujah.

If deliverance is needed, God, deliver them in the name

of the Lord, Hallelujah, in your precious name, In your

precious name, hallelujah. In the name of the Lord, Halleluyah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.

Heart of Heaven, Oh, let the power of your spirit

begin to work right now.

In the name of Jesus.

In the name of Jesus, hallelujah, halleluh.

The Name, hallelujah.

Don't have anything more to say, but I do feel

like the Lord is still desiring to move, and so

all I ask you is just respond to him right now.
