What are you Praying for? || Women of Wonder Pt.2 || Pastor Diego Mesa

Welcome to the Lesse Podcast. Here at Lesse, we seek the loss,

teach the found, and send the disciples. We truly hope you're encouraged by

this week's message. But I'm so excited on this Mother's Day to have my

wife Cindy was rare appearance to have her come on the pulpit and she's gonna

do the prayer. She's gonna do the prayer today for the sermon as we

have a Mother's Day message on the wonder of Women, and obviously next month

is men of something Father's of Faith. Sorry, you know, Pastor Adam

comes up with these amazing titles and so back in the day, I know

him because I created them. Now I have to ask, what are we

What am I supposed to preach on? Oh yeah, I wonder of women,

Father's of Faith. Anyways, so on this Mother's Day, I wanted

to tell you the fact that this beautiful woman has given me three sons and

the oldest is Nathan. And Nathan from the contraction to the delivery was four

hours. At Caleb, the middle boy, from contraction to delivery was three

hours. Adam from contraction to delivery was two hours. So if you ladies

are pregnant. You want this woman to pray over you because she spits him

out quick. But I thought on this Mother's Day to show you a few

pictures. There's you and all your seven grandchildren there, and then here's you

as a young mama. That's wait, go back, that's Nathan, and

then that's Caleb being born right there. And the next one, please,

And that's Adam right there with our two old old English sheep dogs. Next

one, please, and that's Caleb and Cindy. Look at all their hairs

match. I don't remember who that is? Is that mine? Who's that?

Really? Seriously? Who's that? That's one of the boys. We

don't know who that is, but I don't know. Oh, that's her

and Nathan. That was her and her and Nathan when they before we had

Caleb and and Adam. So that's her and Nathan. Is that it?

Oh yeah, that's her with her growing boys. There there's Adam trying to

trying to act. I'll ghetto right there. You click at up, click

at up? Look where his hands at? What's up with that? And

then who's this baby? I don't know who this one again too, is

one of the babies. One of the boys. I don't I you're supposed

to know. Mama's are supposed to know. That was kinds of thing.

And then that's her with all of them, they're all they're all there.

But that's Adam in her lap right there. That's Adam in her lap.

And I think that's it. Oh no, no, two more. There's

Nathan and there's Caleb. Nathan looks like Ezra right there, looks like Nathan

right there. Yeah, okay, all right, Happy Mother's Day. Thank

you. Let's pray for the women. Amen. Well, first, I

just want to say Happy Mother's Day, tall you beautiful moms and women that

are representing a child that doesn't have a mother, and I pray you have

a blessed day. And um amen, I mean not amen, I'm just

father. We just thank you Lord for this beautiful special day that we have

to celebrate and honor all of our moms, grandma's, great grandma's and the

women that represent the children that don't have moms and father. We just thank

you Lord, and I pray today that they are spoiled and they are blessed,

and that you men take care of these mothers and the women in your

lives and Father, I thank you Lord that they're blessed and that every need

of theirs is met, and that they relax and they have peace and comfort

today, and that they just enjoy their time of being a mom today with

their grandchildren, their great grandchildren and their children. Father, God and Father,

we just thank you Lord, and we give you Glorian honor because it's

because of you that we are blessed to be moms with our families. Father

God, and we just give you Glorian honor and Jesus name. Amen,

Amen, thank you, Praise God. Amen. We're gonna read the word

today, so let's and on our feet as we talk about the wonder of

a woman today. It is not fancy hair, golden jewelry, or fine

clothes that should make you beautiful. No, your beauty should come from inside

you, the beauty of a gentle and a quiet spirit. That beauty will

never disappear. It is worth very much, maybe not very much to the

world, but very much to God. It was the same with holy women

who lived along ago and follow God. They made themselves beautiful in that same

way. They were willing I love that word. They were willing to serve

their husbands not made to they were willing. You may be seated. You

know, we open up with this amazing text that begins to share outward beauty

from inward beauty. And last week Pastor ad Him did a masterful job when

he talked about, you know, the beauty of a woman, and he

talked about being influenced by sneakers and the pressure of that, and there was

a great message. But so many times this world pays great precedence to the

outward of a beauty, not just a woman, but also a man.

It's all about looks, it's all about appearance, it's all about talent,

it's all about gift, it's all about reputation. And no one pays precedence

to the character of a person, to the tent, to the integrity of

a person, to the ethics of a person, to the morals of a

person, or the heart of a person. And that's why our world is

so upside down in what it values. God saying, all that outward stuff,

it will perish, it will fade, it will wrinkle, but character

or will never wrinkle, and integrity will never wrinkle, and morals will never

and the heart of an individual will never It's wonderful to marry somebody that has

the perfect look, but I'd rather marry somebody that has a perfect morals and

a perfect heart and a perfect character. Come on, hear what I'm saying.

Listen to this guy that's been married forty years. I know what I'm

talking about. And so many singles are setting this standard that always deals with

the appearance of something, and because of that, their hearts are broken when

they get this beautiful person on the outside, but it is ugly on the

inside, and that ugliness rips their life apart. Then God restores it,

rebuilds it, and guess what happens again, Let's move on. That's another

message. Come to Pastor adams sprint, and I guess you'll learn more about

that. You know what. I want to talk a little bit today about

a woman in the Bible name Hannah. She truly is a wonder woman,

not like the fantasy wonder women that are on TV today, like Black Widow

or wonder Woman or bat bat woman or whatever they are. Those are fake

women. That's not real, a real woman. But today you're gonna read

about a real wonder woman in found in the Bible. And I want to

introduce to you the characters that we're about ready to read today. In this

story, Hannah. Hannah is a woman that's barren, she's childless, she

can't have children. And with that, we well taught you the stigma of

embarrassment and shame that comes with that, life's dial of not being able to

bear. Then you get introduced to her husband, Alcina, now Alkina.

He's a great man of God, but he's a little bit stupid. He's

a little bit naive to the emotions of Hannah. He can't relate. He

doesn't have a clue. Then we get introduced to another woman in the relationship,

not that that ever happens in the world today, in homes today,

we get introduced to Pania. Pania is the other woman. The Bible will

define her as the rival of Hannah. Probably the way it reads, or

history would read, is that Alcina married Hannah, but when they couldn't produce

a child, he went out and married another woman, and that was Pania,

and Pania would now carry on his name, the legacy, the inheritance,

and Pennia. But Pennia was mean, she was bitter, and she

always made fun of Hannah. Then we get introduced to the next character,

that's Eli, the priest. Eli, the priest, for a moment,

does not understand the plights or the problems of Hannah. Then we get introduced

to Samuel. Samuel is the promise that God gives Hannah. And God has

a promise for men, and God has a promise for women here today.

But you're gonna have to go through whatever God needs to take you through in

the actions of faith before a promise will ever be manifested. Promises just don't

come. It comes because of faith. And I'll speak it out now,

corresponding actions a lifestyle that doesn't just say I believe God, show me that

you believe God. And then there's one more character. We don't know their

names. They're the five more children, the three sons and the two daughter

laws that are born after Samuel to a baronless Hannah who couldn't have children.

With that in mind, we're gonna read a few verses here today, and

we're gonna start off in verse six through first number nine. The Bible reads

this, her rival would taunt her severely. Who's that Penya? Her rival

would taunt her. Have you ever felt like you were being taunted and provoked

by somebody because the Lord had kept Hannah from conceiving a year after year.

It's not just one time. This is persistent taunting. Year after year when

she went up to the lord's house, her rival would taunt her in this

way, and Hannah, because of the rivalry, the weeping, the barrenness,

the taunting, would not would weep and wouldn't eat. She had some

health problems, maybe some issues, Hannah. I love this statement. This

is Hannah, why are you crying? Her husband, Alcina, would say,

why won't you eat? What? Remember I called him the clueless guy?

Why are you troubled? Duh? Now that this is called open your

mouth and insert your foot, sir ma'am man am I not better to you

than ten suns? I'm sure? She said, Oh, that's what I

needed to hear. That encourages me now and minister to me so much.

He doesn't have a clue. And it says this. On one occasion,

Hannah got up after they ate and drank at Shiloh. The priest Eli was

sitting on a chair by the doorpost of the Lord's temple. Will stop there.

The first characteristic I like to introduce to you today is the wonder of

grace and humility that Hannah possessed. The wonder of grace and humility that Hannah

possessed. There are four attributes of this grace that I see in this passage

that you and I read about. Number one is how she responds to Pania.

We do not see her at any time in this story respond to Pania

the way Pania responded to Hannah. And just because somebody's mean to you doesn't

mean you have the right to be mean to them. Just because somebody cusses

you out doesn't mean you have the right to cuss someone else out. Just

because someone name calls you, I'm preaching good on the Sunday morning. Just

because somebody name calls you doesn't give you the If you want to Samuel,

if you don't want to Samuel, retaliate and get even if you don't want

to promise from God, then do whatever your flesh wants to do. But

if you're believing God for a Samuel in your life, a promise in your

life because you're empty and you're barren and you're infertile, then you gotta learn

from Hannah. Hannah keeps her mouth shut. It's grace in her life.

Does she have a right? You better believe she has a right. But

she's believing. She's she's a woman of God. She reaches her Bible,

she prays, she the church. She can't act away Penia acts. So

we see the fact that grace is given toward Pannia. Then we see restraint

to Alcina. She doesn't respond him, You stupid fool. Don't you know

why I haven't been eating? Don't And we don't see her nagging her husband.

I'm preaching real good on this Sunday morning to women here. What am

I trying to say? Because women are more susceptible in the area of not

being able to control their mouths. Now, when we get into it's okay

women, when we get into the June month and we're gonna talk about things

that men are susceptible. The reality is as women talk more, they're gifted

to talk and communicate. Men don't talk as much. Doesn't mean they can't

use their mouth in an ungodly way. It's just a natural gift that most

women have. Word just flow out of their mouths, like nagging and complaining

and criticizing. So we see this grace that's given to Pennia. We see

this grace given to Alcina, and we see this grace and this resolve toward

God. I don't see any in this story where she's blaming God. I'm

mad at God. I'm not gonna go to church no more. I'm not

gonna pray anymore. I'm bitter toward God. And there's a lot of men

in here, and there's a lot of women in here. When things don't

go your way, you take it out on God. And when there's losses

in your life and disappointments in your life, you say, I'm gonna stop

on God. That's why no emuls are coming our way. And then I

see this amazing respect towards Eli. Eli just doesn't understand what is going on

in her life, but yet she still respects the authority figures that are in

her life. Here's what the Bible says about controlling our mouths. The one

who guards his mouth protects his life. The one who opens his lips invites

his own ruin. See words are like boomerangs. What you say will always

come back to you. The Bible says, my dear brother and sisters,

understand this. Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and

slow to anger. When you are in seesars of frustration, watch the words

that are coming out of your mouth. She is frustrated, but she manages

her words. She monitors her words. The one who guards his mouth and

tongue keep himself out of trouble. It's amazing how much trouble you could avoid

when you just keep your mouth shut. It's a lost start when there are

many words. Sin is unavoidable. But the one who controls his lips is

prudent. Will stop there for a moment. I'll date myself for a moment.

And back in the nineteen nineties, there was a character by the name

of Benita, and I want you to watch this. Hi girl, I'm

Benita Betrayal. I've been here all my life. I know everybody in this

neighborhood. Yeah, girl, there's some fine people in this neighborhood. There's

a lot of trash too, but I ain't want to gossip. Hey,

they go my homegirl, Gretchen. Hi gratch, Hey girl, I'm scared

of you. You look good. Love what you do with your Have that

fool went and spend the baby's document to get a weave titan. True,

the baby was hollow like a banshie all night. I'm telling you, I'm

glad I got to worry about that. Oh you gotta look at there goes

Miss Jenkins right there. That's good old missus Jackins. Honey, I dance.

Somebody say somethingad, I'm just jakings. Don't nobody man saying I'm bad

about Miss Jenkins because I'm go crazy. That that's when I'll lose it.

Missus Jenkins is a sterling example of a human being. Hey, miss Jenkins,

she is something, now something. Just don't let it. Take her

shoes off in your apartment. If you smell like a deal pickle. Yeah,

there's some nice people in this neighborhood. There's some fine folks. You're

gonna like it, just fine. You just do me a favor. You

stay away from nosy gots up in hens and you be okay. All right.

I got to go now home shop clubs coming on see you later.

Look at somebody and say, your mouth can get you in trouble, especially

with God. Hannah shows grace, she shows humility. Here's the reality.

I'm gonna read you two verses. It says in verse number five for Samuel,

but he gave that's Alcinah. He gave a double portion to Hannah,

for he loved her even though the Lord had kept her from conceiving. Nor

in this verse these verses will we ever see the Bible highlighting that Alcinah loved

Pania. The next verse says this in verse nineteen. The next morning,

Aca and Hannah got up early to worship before the Lord. I have to

look at that and say, where's Pania? Why is not Penia invited?

Why is not Pania welcomed? Next morning, Alcina and Hannah got up early

to worship before the Lord. Afterwards they returned home to Rama. Then Alcina

was intimate with his wife and Hannah, and the Lord remembered her. In

your affliction, I pray today that God remembers you in your emptiness. I

pray that God remembers you today, in your frustration and in your hopelessness.

I pray that God remembers you. Because when God remembers you, I tell

I'm telling you, God will restore you if God remembers you. But it's

more than a tickling statement to fancy up an emotion here today, It's what

I'm talking about today. Why did it happen for Hannah? Why did it

happen? The truth is this that I want you to understand. If you're

a Penia who God has blessed with, go with good fortune, don't make

don't allow it to make you think that you are better than someone else and

flaunt it in their face or make that other person feel less than. Pania

is a diva, and she is and she is bringing shame and embarrassment to

Hannah, and she is flaunting God's good fortune in someone else's face who doesn't

have that good fortune. So if you're a Pania who God is blessed with

whatever that means to be blessed, substance, resources, looks, then you

raise your hand and you just say thank God, but you don't let it

allow don't allow it to get to your heart and corrupt it and make you

think that because of who you are, you deserved it or you earned it.

It was just God's blessing, And don't make someone else feel less than.

If you're Hannah and you've had something bad happened to you that's making you

feel like you're crying and weeping, that He's hear the word of the Lord

to you today. God may not have blessed you in one way, but

God has blessed you in so many other ways that Pania can never have.

So stop looking at the one thing you don't have, and look at all

the other things that you do have. That makes Pania's jealous. Pania's can't

go to church with their husband. Girl, you sit there, Me and

my girl Hannah, we go in to church and we'll be back. Listen,

paniah you sit there with your children. Hannah, you come on over

here. I want to give you double blessing. So today you might have

a double blessing in your life, and you might have an intimate see with

God or whoever that Penaia can never have. The third character here is the

husband, the husband that just doesn't have a clue. I don't know about

you. Every husband, well every man has been baited into one of these

conversations with the women that are around them and it goes like this, just

I can almost see him saying he didn't have a clue. Why don't you

eat? Why are you weeping? Why are you so despondent? And this

is a pass out. Did a masterful job last week talking about the logic

of a man versus the emotion of a woman. And here here is classically

using his logic because he's trying to fix her. He's trying to solve her

problem, which men want to do. But right now, she don't want

to be fixed right now, and she don't need her husband or her man

to solve her problem. She just needs her husband to listen to her.

Just stand there or sit there and let me cry right now. Just let

me deal with my emotions, but don't try to fix me right now,

and don't try to solve my problems. So I can almost feel the way

he feels when my wife stands in front of me in a dress and tells

me, does this dress look good on me? Or do I look do

I look like I'm carrying what I don't want to say? Do I look

like a do I look thin in this dress? Or whatever I was?

What? Cindy, what do you want me to tell you? Because I

can't win in this situation. How many men have been there before? Only

three men? The rest of you are liars and you're going to hell.

May the Lord bless you to repent. We've all been there as men.

I don't know what to tell you. I don't know what to tell you.

Know, I'm you know when I love the innocence of when a woman

first marries her husband. And there's a season and I'm not getting into uh

Pastor Adam and soon to be Pastor Ashley's sprint right now of marriage. But

there's this, um yeah, girl, next year, next year, we're

giving you the title anyway, so quiet she got over there a quiet god.

So anyways, it'll be my last inauguration next year for Cindy come forward

now, um, Cindy Ashley, come forward anyways. Um so when I

is far the sprint. So that's why I got to hand it off,

because I lose my thoughts. Now. Man, I had it, and

I had a glosson that I had it again and I lost it. Here's

the sprint. When couples are first married. The wife looks at a husband

as perfect, he's my hero. Yes, sir, whatever you want to

do, and I'll do whatever you want. Then then when she finds out

that he's not perfect, Oh, I'm gonna take charge. We go.

I'm gonna make the decisions here. And there's that season. There's that say

so back in the early days when I was her hero and I was faultless.

You could get away with murder with a woman. You could tell your

wife anything and she'll follow and believe. So I wanted to go on.

I wanted to go on the Prices right, and I wanted to win.

I was a big fan of Bob Barker. Well better than that the girls

on this show. That that's really what I wanted to do. But so

by former church, they had a class on how to be chosen on a

game show, and so we went to the class to learn, and we

learned that you got to like wear a real weird hat, and you got

to act a little crazy, and you gotta be extremely jovial when you because

you have to look weird because they want weird people when they picked, like

come on down like Ashley did when they a couple of months ago when she

was on there. You have to act weird, but she didn't have to

act as she just anyway. But anyways, so we went, we went,

We went, me and her, So they asked they interviewed me first,

and you know what I just was. I came out of myself,

you know, like smiling when I don't smile. I told stories, I

wore my hat crazy, I had some bright clothes, and I didn't get

chosen. So I looked at Sindy and said, it's all on you now,

girl, Cindy, you gotta act really crazy, you gotta act really

wild. You gotta talk about your husband how much you love me, he

said. Now I'm not gonna do I said, Cindy, Okay, yes,

sir, you're my lord. I'll do whatever you want me to do.

That was the last time she acted as crazy as can be and they

didn't choose her. It's terrible. I can relate to this man. Let

me give you the second point. I don't know how that didn't go over

too well. Thank God, I don't have to do this very much longer.

Here's the second point I want to share with you. It's found through

in verse ten through verse thirteen, we learn about Hannah's grace and humility,

and now we're going to learn about Hannah's prayer life. In her fasting deeply

hurt, Hannah prayed to the Lord and wept many tears, making a vow.

How many of you make promises to God and prayer in the midst of

your desperation. Yeah, we all do. Making a vow, she pleaded,

Lord of Armies, if you will take notice of your servants affliction,

remember and not forget me. I will give your servant a son, and

I will give him to the Lord. In other words, if you give

me a child, I'm going to give him back to you all the days

of his life, and his hair will never be cut. In other words,

he's going to be a Nazarene. While she continued praying, this is

who in one and one time prayer, she continued to pray, Now,

now it doesn't mean that we are to ask God over and over and over.

You ask God one time and the rest of the time you're just thanking

God for the answer to the prayer. So it might goal like this,

God, I'm barren and I ask you for a child tomorrow. I say,

God, I thank you for that child, and I thank you that

you work in my womb and you help me with my husband. And that

might be the second day prayer. In the third day prayer, God,

help me not to get discouraged when I'm waiting for this child. You see

how it's a difference. While she continued praying in the Lord's presence. Eli

watched her mouth. Hannah was praying silently, though her lips were not moving.

Her voice could not be heard Eli. This is where he misconstrued what

she was doing. Eli thought she was drunk. Do you remember in the

Book of Acts, who they thought on the day of Pentecost were drunk?

What were they doing? They were praying and worshiping God. Another group of

people that were judged that way. Did it go on? Please? Or

is that it? I guess that's it. So here's the characteristic of prayer

and fasting that we see in Hannah's life. Number one is this when we

talk about praying and fasting, she is going to give her need, give

her hurt, and give her pain to God because she recognizes no other person

can resolve that thing. She can't go to a man, she can't go

to a doctor, she can't go to her husband to heal the brokenness of

her lives. But she knows who to go to because I'm going to cast

all my cares on him, for he cares for me. So Hannah goes

to God to pray. That's the first place that you need to go.

You need to go to God because God is the only one that could fix

you. A man may have damaged you, but a man can fix you.

Only God can fit you. So get your eyes off of a man

and think I need a man to do something to restore me. No,

you don't. You need God to heal you of your bitterness, your unforgiveness,

and the wound of your heart. Go to God. And so she

goes to God with that situation. She prays with emotion, and she prays

with feeling. Psalm sixty two, in verse number eight reads, this way,

trust in Him at all times, you people, and pour out your

heart before him. God wants you to be naked before him symbolically, he

wants you to be transparent. If you're hurt, tell him you hurt.

If you're angry, tell him you're angry. If you feel mistreated, be

real with God. And she pours out her emotion with sincerity. That's what

her prayer looks like. She prays continually because the Bible says to pray without

ceasing. She just won't give up. Lord. I thank you, I

thank you that, I thank you that I'm gonna bear a child, and

I thank you God. I'm making a promise to you that if you give

me that child, I'm going to give him back to you. Not only

is going to be a Nazarite, but I'm gonna take him to the temple,

and I'm gonna let Eli the priest raise him. I am literally giving

him over to the Lord. I'm going to sow a son to you,

not knowing that I'm going to reap five more children. Don't make a promise

to God and you won't keep it. Don't make a promise to God and

your desperation and in your emergency and in your christis God. If you'll save

me, God, if you'll deliver, if you don't let me get caught

God, God, if you'll answer this prayer, and then you forget the

promise. This is how Hannah was blessed because she kept her promise. So

she prayed continually along the lines, and then she praise in faith. She

absolutely praise in faith in verse seventeen and verse eighteen. Eli responds after he

realizes she's not drunk. Go in peace, and may the Lord God of

Israel grant you the request you made of him. May your servant find favor.

How many of you want the favor of God. I'm gonna tell you

how to get the favor of God today. The favor of God comes when

you operate in faith and obedience. You will always walk in the favor of

God. When you walk in faith and you walk in obedience, may your

servant find favor with you, she replied. Then, Hannah, watch says

after he said, he's basically he said, you're gonna have a child.

Watch how her weeping stops. Watch how her crying stops. Watch all her

discontentment stop. Then Hannah went on her way. She ate some food.

She stopped at KFKFC and she got some chicken. On the way home she's

talked about. Stopped by the taco man and got her some tacos. She

ate and no longer looked what she got. She fixed her hair up,

she took a bath. She puts them for a few months. She stopped

by Macy's and bought herself a dress. Hum. Maybe here, when I'm

talking about the girl's changing, I'm believing God. I'm no longer a barren

woman. I'm a woman that's gonna have a child. I can't look like

a barren woman no more. I can't look like a victim. No more.

I can't look like anything other than what God says I should look like.

I'm gonna fix myself up. Please go on despondent. The next morning,

Alcina and Hannah got up early to worship. We read we read that,

and then and then we read we read it that they went and had

intimacy together. They went and did their part to honor the promise or the

word that God had given. So here's what the reality is. She prays

with patience, waiting. She prays with patience, waiting, knowing that,

you know what, it may not happen the first time. It didn't say

that in nine months you'll have the baby. So so sometimes it just takes

a while, and it takes time. One of my favorite scriptures during the

time of my affliction with cancer was Isaiah, excuse me, Psalm's fifty six,

verse nine. The very day I call for help, The title the

battle turns us one thing I know, my enemies flee and that God is

for me. The Bible says, the very day diego you prayed, the

tide of the battle began to ship. Now that that doesn't mean that you

won the battle. Yet, that doesn't mean that the trophy's coming. Your

way. But the moment you pray, I began to work to fight in

your battle, and the tide is beginning to change. Now. The manifestation

may have taken four years, and may have taken a period of time,

but but prayer is the fact that you'll wait on God. They that wait

upon the Lord shall renew their strength. And then ultimately she prays for her

son. In verse number twenty seven of First Samuel, it reads this way,

I love the way it said women highlight that I pray for this boy.

What I shoot. I believe for this child, and he ain't gonna

be lost to this world. That girl of mine, she ain't going to

be lost to those bad choices and relationship. They are not going the way

of that lifestyle. I pray for this boy. I pray for these children.

That's a praying mama who says that that way I pray. I pray

calling into this child when they were in my womb, when they were two

years old, I prayed into their life. I prayed vocation in their life.

I prayed destiny in their lives. I prayed salvation into the Oh no,

no, no, devil, you can't have my child. In the

name of Jesus, I prayed for this boy, and I'm not gonna stop

thinking and believe in God. As long as I'm alive, I'm gonna keep

on praying. And then after I'm dead, my prayers will still hold some

residue that if they're still running from God, it will grip them and tackle

them. I prayed. You don't wait for them to be a problem in

your child's life. You pray now. Prayer is paving the future that they

will walk on the moment those kids were born, even when they were in

the woman, I was praying over them before they even like girls. I

was praying about that, before they before they could even whatever. I was

gonna say somebod I don't want to embarrass them, but I put on I

have hundreds of hours in prayer invested in those boys. Do you think I

was gonna let them marry just anybody. I ain't gonna stand there and act

like a fool and spend twenty thousand dollars on a marriage that I knew wouldn't

last. See, I've got five claps here. Pastor Adam doesn't preaks this

way. He preaches. He preaches with such great joy and grace preachs like

I've been in a vodio fight or something like that. But you pray,

you pray, You pray when they're one years old, two years old,

God, when they get their first phone, God, when they like boys

and girls. God, when they go on their dates. God, may

they marry right, May they date right? God, may they live long

lives. Oh God, I'm gonna give you one verse to pray over your

children. Here's one verse. Photoshop it or whatever you call it. Take

a picture of it. Here you go, All your spiritual children shall be

disciplined, taught by the Lord in obedience. So it goes like this,

God, I thank you that Nathan, Caleb and Adam are your children.

They are disciples taught by the Lord, and they will be obedient to your

will. Great shall be their peace and undisturbed composure all the days of Nathan

Caleb and Adam's life. That's the way you pray scriptures just like that.

So I'd like to I'd like to conclude now and see if I can land

this plane by sharing just a few thoughts about this praying. When I was

a sophomore in high school, I wasn't saved. My mom had just gotten

saved, and I'd be in my room with my brother and sister asleep in

my bed. But would wake me up was not an alarm clock. What

would wake me up was not somebody shrugging my shoulders. What will wake me

up as a praying mom in her bedroom with the door closed, and she'd

be praying as though somebody else was in that room, and I could hear

her from emotions of laughter, to emotions of tears, to emotions of joy

to the Lord, or I thought she was fighting with someone in that room.

I grew up with a praying mom. I know what that's like.

Even till this day, I'll see sending just like Hannah. I see her

mouth moving, but I don't hear anything coming out of her lips. When

she's in this shower and I'm checking her out, I see her lips moving,

and I think, who is she talking to? But after all the

years of being married, I know who she's talking to, and I know

what she's doing. And then and she goes and puts on her makeup,

and in between brushing, I see her lips moving. I'm thinking, what

is she doing? She's praying, She's praying, She's praying, and it's

a beautiful picture of what Hannah was. Hannah truly was a woman of grace

and humility, and she was a woman of prayer. And then when you

just need an added boost to your prayer life, you go on a fast

and acorn Isaiah, You're going to pull down some strongholds when you go on

that fast. Amen. So I want to conclude with this, Why did

God answer Hannah's prayer? Why did God give her a Samuel and then five

more children? Was it because she prayed? No? I think God answered

her prayer. Is because of how she dealt with Pania, and how she

dealt with Alcina, and how she dealt with at Eli. Drop the mic,

just hear what I just said. If you don't treat the people that

treat you wrong right, then God will not answer your prayers. You don't,

I don't care how long you pray. If God, if you don't

treat your husband right, then God. And there's a portion in here.

I ran out of time. Or she would go every year and she'd make

him make little Samuel a robe. Yeah, I read it there. She'd

make him a robe. That's a woman that has working hands. She could

cook a meal, she could clean a house. She knows how to dress

her children. Well, only one person here that I don't know how to

interpret that. I'm not putting a mandate to say that, but I'm just

saying you do have the capability of doing that. She'd make the robe for

her, for her, for her little son. And so I want you

to recognize it's how she treated Pania, It's how she treated Alcanon, It's

how she treated the authority figures in her life. That's why God could extremely

bless her. I want to end with I want to end with a story.

The story is that of an old couple. They live. They live

in a poverished nation and they don't have much, if anything. And the

woman, old woman has long, beautiful hair, and she has had one

brush to brush her hair all her life. But over the years, the

thistles of the comb have just run out and fallen out, and the handle

has broken. And she tried to use it as long as she could until

there was nothing there. And she goes to her husband and says, I

need a new brush to brush my hair. And he said, I'm sorry,

honey, I don't have no money at all. And he showed her

the watch from his pocket that used to be on his wrist because the band

had wore out the leather band. He said, I don't even have enough

money to buy a leather band for my watch. He went off again,

like he does every day, to go look for a job, or scrape

for some money, or find something that could bring in revenue into the into

the household. So he goes by a pawn shop. He pulls out his

watch and he says, how much will you give me for this? And

they give him a few dollars. He runs to the store and he buys

a brush for his wife's hair. At the end of the day, he

comes back with a little bag and he looks at her with a big smile

and says, here's a brush. But when he looks at her, she's

cut her hair down to nothing. And he said, baby, what did

you do with all your hair? She said, I sold it because here's

a wrist band for your watch. I think there's a message that you and

I can learn today about the grace that Hannah possessed. Father, I thank

you today for the message. I pray that it resonates in the hearts of

not just women, but in men. Help us to treat our Hannah's right,

help us as men to understand the plights and the problems that are in

in their lives, and help us to be extremely great listeners. Lord,

Father, I thank you for Hannah's God. I thank you Lord that they

will not respond the way others respond to them. Oh God, they will

take it before you. They're complaint. Oh God, I thank you Lord

today for a double blessing on this Mother's day. I pray a double blessing

on the women here today, a double blessing, A double blessing on you

today. I pray a double blessing upon your job. I pray a double

blessing on your being a wife and a mother. I pray a double blessing

on your single life. I pray a double blessing on your health. I

pray a double blessing on your joy. I pray a double blessing on your

peace. I pray a double blessing on your finances. I pray a double

blessing of joy today. A specialness that God will surprise you with something that

you thought you lack. But God will show you something that you have that

He's blessed you with. In Jesus name. Amen. Well, as we

get ready to leave this church right now, I want to thank you so

much, thank you so much for coming to church today. But here's what

I know. We are not going to live forever. And we could live,

we could eat really well and take care of ourselves and you know,

we could do whatever we can with plastic surgery to make ourselves look younger and

whatever. But eventually these bodies are going to die. And as morbid as

it sounds, that's why we don't like to go to funerals. I've never

seen anybody comfortable in a funeral. I'm gonna ask that nobody moved. Please

reverence and respect the spirit of God's very disrespectful right now to move well.

People's lives are being held in jeopardy. So I know many of these people

maybe guess, but thank you, abundant living family, for respecting the spirit

of God. Right now, life and death are held in the balance today.

People die and they go to hell because they reject Jesus Christ as their

lord and savior and all of us, whether it's the average man lives to

be seventy eight years old, some die before that, some die after that.

But the reality is is we're going to live again. Because Adam and

Eve were never supposed to die, the first man and first woman. The

reason why they died was because they sin. Sin came into their lives,

and sin begins to break us down and cause us to eventually die. All

of us will die either to a sickness or to a disease, or to

an accident or mishap. That's how people die, one form or another.

The reality is is when your time comes, you will die. But here's

the reality. Because you're an eternal being, you will live again, and

you will either live in the presence of God or you will live outside the

presence of God. Today, the decision you make will determine or possibly determine

your destiny. Or you say without out of a doubt, I'm a Christian,

but I'm not serving the Lord as I should, and i want to

rededicate my life to the Lord. When I count to three, I'm gonna

ask you to raise your hand. Not for me. I don't need to

see your hand, but Jesus needs to see your hand, because the Bible

says, if you acknowledge me before men all acknowledge you. But if you

deny me, I'll deny you. It's a time for you and I to

get right with God and to ensure that my eternal destiny outside of earth will

be heaven with no greater joy than the opposite of where people go that don't

have Christ. One two, one, two three. Raise your hand wherever

you are. God, love you, God bless you. You may put

your hands down, Thank you. This is why it is so important that

we don't move during the altar call. It's a precious time. Can I

lead you in a prayer? Now? Say, dear Lord Jesus, you

know who I am, and I come before you in my emptiness, in

my brokenness and my failures, my mistakes, and in my sins, and

I ask you to forgive me and to accept me. I believe that Jesus

is the only means of salvation, and I give my heart to him now

in Jesus name. Amen, Come on, let's thank God for every soul.
