Mark 5:21-43 || The Book of Mark || Pastor Aaron Levy

Welcome to the ALC Podcast. Here at ALC, we seek the loss,

this week's message ALFC. What's good? If we haven't met yet, my

name is Aaron. I am the Pomona campus pastor and have the honor of

hanging out in Rancho. I was in Rancho Sunday. I get to be

in Rancho on Wednesday, so it's awesome to hang out. Who's been enjoying

this Mark book study? Has it been phenomenal? I want to honor Pastor

Adam for entrusting me and Pastor Diego for entrusting me in their pulpit. And

I believe tonight, if you lean in tonight could be transformational. We're gonna

be in Mark chapter five. We're just gonna just get right into it.

So if you're starting thumbing, go ahead and go to Mark chapter five.

And then Pomona is doing the same thing tonight. Pastor Dolores is preaching the

same content tonight that I'm preaching. We're one cheer multiple locations. I know.

Pastor Adam recently said that Rancho has grown by over five hundred people.

Isn't that amazing? Well, the same thing is happening in Pomona. I

remember when we launched and we got our campus, we would have like thirty

people in nine am service at about sixty and eleven am service, and Glory

to God. ALFC Pomona is averaging four hundred and forty people on a weekend.

God's favor is on ALFC. Amen. So I'm honored to see what

God is doing in this campus and in future campuses. Hey, if you

have a Mark journal, can you just kind of wave it in there?

If you have a Mark journal. Oh, I see the journals. I

see the journals. I respect it. Now here's the thing. Who's been

wanting to get a journal? And you was like, I haven't. I

haven't had a chance to get a journal yet, but I'm planning on getting

one. Okay. I went to the shop earlier today and I bought two

journals. First two people that come up there for you? Okay, oh

God, the pressure, the pressure, okay, okay, here here here

wait wait hold on, holdah, get your pen, get your highlighter,

pin, highlighter. Okay, hold on. I feel so bad for these

two young these ladies. I'll buy two more for you guys. Okay,

just go to the shop. No, no, just the two that came

out. I'm a generosity giant, but YO like it. What's up?

Just go to the shop tell them pastor Aaron since it's on me. Okay,

if you got the book, don't go to sleep while I'm preaching the

two that I gave you to. Okay, so this all stand to our

feet. We're gonna be in Mark chapter five. We're gonna be in verse

twenty one through forty three before we get into the scripture. If you have

your journalists on page thirty before we get into the scripture. I kind of

want to frame it for us if I can reduce this sermon too one phrase.

The phrase should be on the screen. It's no matter the fact,

place your faith over your feelings to follow Christ, no matter the facts,

Verse twenty one through twenty six. That's what we're gonna read. When you

place your faith over your feelings, you'll be able to follow Christ. So

with that thought, you could pay attention to the screens, or you can

look at your Mark journal and if this is where you have your pens online

online, tap in with me as well. This is where you highlight certain

things, we don't squeeze it. Can I just teach the Bible tonight?

Okay, okay, okay, okay, all right, serning your verse twenty

one, and go ahead and highlight and and preaches. And when Jesus had

crossed again in the boat to the other side, a great crowd everybody,

say, great crowd, highlight that as well, please, gathered around him,

and he was beside the sea. Then came one of the rulers of

the synagogue, Gyris by name, and seeing him, he fell at his

feet and implored him earnestly, saying, my little daughter is at the point

of death. Come lay your hands. Everybody, highlight hands on her,

so that she may highlight her underlying may be made well and live. And

he went with him, and a great crowd, say, great crowd followed

him and thronged around him. Thronged me. They were all around Jesus.

Everybody's trying to get around Jesus. That's what thronged means. And there was

a woman who had a discharge of blood for twelve years, who had suffered

much under many physicians who had spent all she had. It was no better,

but grew worse. Let's prey, Heavenly Father. We have your word

open. Now open our hearts to receive it. Challenge us, convict us,

encourage us, strengthen us, get me out of the way. I

thank you that tonight it'll feel like I'm having one on ones with people.

Use your word to penetrate hearts online and in person. In Jesus' name,

Amen, you may be seated. The first point is facts. We're gonna

talk about the facts of the chapter, and then we're gonna talk about the

facts of the character. Remember I told you to underline and and connects to

another point. Who loved Pastor Nathan's message last week? When't that fire?

So we preached that Jesus has power to have authority over demons. But being

that I'm preaching and it starts with the word, and it's a connecting thought.

So if you look at all of Mark chapter five, Jesus is showing

he has power over four things. He has power over demons, he has

power of a disease, he has power over delays, and he has power

over death. So if you have your Mark journals, this is where you're

taking notes because you're squeezing the And what we're saying is it is healthy to

look at scripture and context because this is a continued thought. So whatever you

need, you can look at the scriptures and you can get that from you.

So when we're looking at that, it's saying like, you know what,

Jesus, you are showing me all these things that you have power and

authority over. But then the next thing we highlighted it was a great crowd

last week when Pastor Nathan preached, he was preaching in Mark chapter four,

and it was the disciples that were in a great storm and then Jesus came

and gave them a great calm. You guys remember that. But now today

we're talking about a great crowd. That makes me lean into the scripture.

We're talking about a great storm, and now the next chapter we're talking about

a great crowd. Why because some battles are public and some battles are private.

Mark chapter four was about private battles. The disciples are on the boat.

Now there's a public battle, a great crowd. And may I offer

this advice. Sometimes the great storms that we have is the great crowd that

we have around us. It's not the it's not the situation. It's the

people that you've allowed in your life. I heard it said that you can't

change the people that are around you, but you can change the people that

are around you, you know what I mean. So I can't change,

I can't change people. I can't change who's around but I can change.

Does that make sense? Sometimes we're trying to change and sometimes we're Jesus,

you will change that person, and Jesus like, I'm trying to change you

and teach you boundaries. So sometimes the storms that we're facing is just the

crowd that we're around. So that that's the facts of the chapter. Now

let's talk about the facts of the characters. There's two characters here, Gyrus

and I. And I just want to show you what was in my notes.

This is what I put in my journal, so I want to I

want to show it here. You got a guy named Jiris. He's a

synagogue ruler, but he has a situation. His situation is he has a

twelve year old daughter at the point of death that's broken his heart. But

he has some status. Why does he have status Because he's a ruler,

so he's respected and he's influential in the community. He's a church leader,

he teaches forward, he's at the welcome center, he does exhortations, so

he's known in the community. He has status. But what we're learning today

is just because you have high status, it doesn't exempt you from low situations.

So he has this high status, and what I try to do is

I try to get in the scriptures because I'm a church leader. So this

guy's name is Jiris and he's a ruler. So today we're just gonna call

him Jah Rule. How about that, We'll call him jah Ruh for obvious

reasons. Tell them in the courtyard, Hey, did anybody tell you you

look so tonight? We got Jah Rule. He's a girl dad. He's

going through certain situations, but he's trying to navigate. But then it's the

tension because what's the woman's name? Doesn't mention it? What's her position doesn't

mention it. Have you ever been known just by your issue? Or that's

that one few mother that you know she was, or that's him you remember

back in the day when he not saying the name, but just saying the

situation, not known by the identity, but just known by the issue.

So if you look at her issue. There's a twelve year disease. She

suffered under many physicians. She spent all she had and her situation got worse.

Have you ever been in this situation for a long time. You're trying

to do the right things and it gets worse. If that's you, you

want to lean in tonight because this person has lost hope. Because you got

the respected versus the rejected. You got the influential against the isolated, all

needing Jesus. Both of them are facing a great storm, but they each

need a great physician. She went to all these different physicians, spent all

her money, but it seems like now that she's at her last, she

needs Jesus. And on the surface, when you're looking at these people,

you may be thinking they're so separate, But they have a lot more in

common when you go deeper, because both of them are broken. The man

has a broken heart because he's a girl dad, and he doesn't know how

to help his daughter. And I empathize with that because his daughter is twelve

years old. How do I know that his daughter's twelve years old? She

has no that's the other girl I'm talking about, the two your old daughter.

I made it up so the preaching would be better. No, please

don't listen to preachers that do that. I read ahead to verse forty two.

So what I did was I kind of leaned in when I saw the

word, Okay, twelve year disease, twelve year old daughter. God,

what are you trying to show us? Well, if you go to the

kaiser as cesarea back then in Labor and Delivery, they're celebrating Jyrus Jahrul and

they're bringing cigars and they're bringing balloons and they're saying, hey, man,

you got your daughter, and this is the greatest day of his life because

his daughter is born. And in that same hospital in er there's masks,

there's wiring, and it's confirmed that you have an incurable disease. Same hospital.

Want to having their best day, want having their worst day, but

now both at the feet of Jesus. And that's what the church is.

The church is a hospital. And that's why we do life in community because

sometimes you may be having a great season and you're next to somebody that's not

having such a great season, and that's where we can help each other.

So just somehow, when we look at these facts that they're now in the

face at the feet of Jesus. One more thing before we move to the

next point. Both of them are broken. The man's broken in his heart,

the woman's broken in her body. I find that interesting because that's where

culture puts so much pressure on men and women. For a man, a

man can't have a broken heart. Let's put jar Rubeka on the screen.

Please. This is how a man is always supposed to look. No matter

your trouble, no matter what's going on with your family, no matter what's

going on with you, you better man up, you better smile, you

can't cry. But he has a broken heart. Now what about the woman,

She has a broken body. You know how much culture pressure puts on

a woman that her body has to look a certain way. So you see

the tension in this chapter. We're just looking at the facts. And the

reason why we look at the facts is so we can insert ourselves in the

story. Because, like Pastor Hermann said, Jesus is the same yesterday,

today, if forever more, and if he does something for them, he'll

do that for you. So I want you to start thinking about your facts

of life and start thinking do you allow your facts to impact your faith or

do you allow your faith to impact your facts. We're gonna see, we're

gonna go to point number two because this woman is at her worst. She

spent all she had and it got worse. But look at verse twenty seven.

As we go to faith, everybody say faith. She had heard the

reports about Jesus. Dad will preach all by yourself. My situation got worse,

but I heard the reports of about Jesus. Faith comes by hearing,

hearing the word of God. She heard the reports of Jesus. Now,

since we've been in Mark all year and we've had dynamic preaching all year at

ALFC, it begs the question here, well, what reports did she hear?

They have to be in Mark. Well, I'm glad you asked.

Well, if we go to Mark, chapter one, these are the reports

that she heard. Well, she heard that Jesus put Peter on his team.

But she doesn't just regard Jesus doesn't just regard men. He regards women

as well, because he healed Peter's mother in law. So she hearing these

reports as she's sick. He's like, Jesus values women. Jesus maybe could

heal me because he touched the woman. And then if we look at Mark

chapter one, verse forty, going a little bit deeper. This is when

she really got excited because she was thinking, yeay, you know what,

He'll heal a woman, but he won't heal me because of my disease.

Because with my disease, nobody can touch me. I'm unclean. I'm not

invited to church, nobody wants to be around me. But she heard the

reports that Jesus touched a leper. Oh, Jesus is willing to touch someone

that's unclean, Maybe there's hope for me. And no matter what situation you

face, when you hear the reports of Jesus, it starts giving you hope.

But it doesn't stop there. She keeps hearing about this guy, Jesus.

What happened in Mark chapter two. There was Jesus preaching a sermon.

This guy comes from the roof, and Jesus is allowed to be interrupted.

He stopped his sermon to heal somebody, and then he connected his healing to

forgiveness. Man, if I get an opportunity to meet Jesus, I'm gonna

have to have curse to interrupt him, because if he healed that person during

his sermon, maybe there's hope for me. Then in March chapter three,

you know what, Jesus healed the man that with the withered hand on the

Sabbath, So you know what she's learning. Ah, Jesus puts relationships over

rules. Jesus is willing to break that religious rule to get to me.

So that's the faith that she's hearing. And now when she's Jesus, she

has all that faith on the inside of her. So here's what happens.

If we continue reading, I want you to get that context so you can

know how faith takes us to action. She had heard the reports about Jesus

and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. For she

said, if I touch even his garments, I will everybody underlying will be

made well. And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt

in her body that she was healed of her disease. We'll come back to

more about that later. She felt in her body she was healed of her

issue verse thirty. And Jesus, perceiving in himself that power had gone out

from him, immediately turned around in the cry old a lot of crowd stuff

and said, who touched my garments? And the disciples said to him,

you see the crowd pressing around you. Pay attention when words are repeated in

the Bible, pressing around you. And yet you say, who touched me?

And he looked around to see who had done it. Verse thirty three

is so dope. Look at this. But the woman, knowing what had

happened to her, came in fear and trembling and fell down before him and

told him the whole truth. And he said to her, daughter, your

faith has made you well go in peace and be healed of your disease.

Her faith changed the facts. Now we got to review the facts. Let's

go back to the facts real quick. What's her name? Her name is

daughter, what's her position? Her positions in Christ? Because no matter what

position you have in the world that's temporary, in Christ is eternal. And

when you have an encounter with Jesus, he doesn't just heal your issue,

he heals your idea. Daughter, your faith has made you well go in

peace. Now let's illustrate what happened, and then let's talk about jar rule.

This woman that has all this faith, she's hearing these reports, is

she wants an opportunity to have an encounter with Jesus. But here's one problem,

the crowd. She can't be around crowds. She has to be isolated

because if she touches someone, she could be stolen to death. She can't

touch a rabbi. But she heard the reports about Jesus. But look what

it says. Here came up behind him. See, faith has a posture.

Faith has a posture. What happens is faith comes by hearing. I'm

hearing these reports and it's changing my posture that I'll come behind and I'll follow

Jesus and I'll break religious rules to have relationship with him. And Pastor Heron

said, and he said, if you have faith the size of a mustard,

see you will say to this mountain, move from here to there.

It will move and nothing will be impossible for you. So she says,

if I touched him of his guardment, I will be healed. She's declaring

her faith. Why because out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth

speaks. She has the right posture to get her healing from her savior.

But here's what's most important. She gets her healing, and she's like,

oh, shoot, oh, I can go to the Sausa club again.

Because she felt in her body she was healed. That doesn't mean that she

felt in her mind she was healed, or her soul or her spirit.

So here's what's Please pay attention to this. This is where. This is

where God is dealing with me. Okay, hey, I saw your posture

when you needed something from me, you got it. I healed your issue.

Where did you go? Think about our worship set today? Did he

heal you? Yeah? Yeah? But what's the next song? I will

make room for you. We don't want to sing about the healing. Hey

I got a marital issue. Hey, I got this situation going on.

I get the healing, all right, peops. But if we look at

verse where's it at verse thirty three? Jesus like who touched me? Jesus

wants relationship? Where are you? I healed you? Who touched me?

And look what it said? Look fell down before him again. The same

posture that healed her issue is the same posture that will heal her identity.

Will you stay long enough in the presence of Jesus to find out who you

are? Or do you only stay in the presence long enough to get your

issue fixed? Because if you're going to Jesus for your He will fix your

issue. But miracles are only marketing to follow. Jesus, Please don't live

your life from miracle to miracle to miracle. She got her miracle with this

posture, but she got her identity as daughter with this posture as well.

But here's the thing. She had to tell the whole truth. So with

that same posture, Hey God, she goanna be honest. I'm angry.

I've had twelve birthdays. Nobody's called me. Where were you? If you're

good? Why did you allow this to happen? Hey God, I don't

know who I am. Have so much shame. God, I've been jealous

of other people. I hear people celebrating what about me? See, she

said the whole truth. He's not just talking about Hey God, can you

fix my husband? And after you fix my husband, then thank you.

No, no, she said the whole truth. Hey God, my insecurities

are triggering me to treat my husband in a way the whole truth. So

so Jesus, based upon the faith, healed her issue. But with her

saying posture, she got her identity. Now let's look at jar rul.

Let's go let's go to jar Roup. Let's go to jar Ruth. Remember

faith is about your ears, your posture, your hands, and your voice.

But if we what was what was jar Rul listening to parbat of his

own music? Because if you look at ja Rule, listen, let's watch

this, watch this watches. If we go to verse twenty two, jar

Rule fell at his feet and he said, my daughter's at the point of

death. So he was broken by his situation. He didn't have a posture

of faith towards the Savior. Some of us only kneel when we're broken by

our situation. Because here's what happens. My daughter's at the point of death.

But he's respected and influentials. So enough of that. Hold on,

Hey, come follow me, remember the woman followed him. Hey, follow

me, Come with me, and you use your hands to heal my daughter.

No skin in the game, no faith, no faith. Why because

if you look at the if you look, that's why you gotta look at

the Bible. If you look at verse twenty three, so she may be

well. The woman said, I will be well. So here's the thing.

When you're respected and you have influence, sometimes we have that same posture

towards Jesus. Jesus followed me yes, follow me, crowds follow. Yes,

we're going this way. Jesus. Come on, you're gonna go to

my daughter's house. And then when Jesus doesn't do the thing that you expect

him to do, Jesus, do you care? Jesus? Where are you?

But are you following Jesus or is Jesus following you? Because I want

you to think about this. Now we know his name, position, situation,

and status, but we don't know his outcome and could it be Sometimes

we don't have faith in Jesus. We only have faith in outcomes. She

put her faith in Jesus and she got healing and peace. He put it

all on Jesus, broken by his situation, Jesus, follow me. Here's

what I want to share. If you don't have faith in your God,

you will stay stuck in your feelings. Why I want to share this as

we're transitioning the feelings. I'm a girl dad. My daughter's twelve years old,

So I got to insert myself in here. Watch what happens here.

I just want to watch what happens between verse thirty four and thirty five,

and he said to her, this is the woman. He said to her

daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed

of your disease. Doing it around a great crowd. Can you imagine the

crowd? Yeah, Jesus did the hilly did. Yes, he caught her

daughter. She's hell, Jesus, Jesus jee right, watch this first thirty

five. While that was going on with the crowd, there came from John

Ruth's house, someone who said, your daughter is dead. Why trouble the

teacher any further? Can you while the okay, daughter, your faith has

made you well? Yeah, daughter, well, daughter well? And he's

not celebrating because remember, Jesus, Jesus, you're supposed to follow me.

Now he has everybody celebrating a daughter, but he hears from his daughter his

daughter's dead. Have you ever been in a situation where you feel like everyone

is celebrating except for you. See, while everybody's getting married right now,

everybody's getting promoted, everybody has great news, and I'm over here waiting for

Jesus to notice me. Why doesn't Jesus notice me? Why is it Jesus

not answering my prayer? What do I do with these emotions? What do

I do with these anxieties? Because I feel like everybody's celebrating but me.

And if you want to lean into that emotion more, you got to come

Sunday on Palm Sunday because that's the tension that we're dealing with this Sunday.

So come in, invite a friend. Amen. But if we're talking about

feeling, watch this. Watch what Jesus does. I love this. Watch

this, Okay, watch trouble to the teacher any further. But overhearing what

they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, do not fear,

only believe. Remember faith comes by hearing this. Whole time, Jesus

has said nothing to this man. Now Jesus speaks up because his situation got

worse. Remember the woman's situation got worse and she heard the reports. Now

he has an opportunity because his situation just got worse and he allowed no one.

Look. Watch this. This is what Oh okay, I get excited.

Sorry, I get excited because Jesus is so brilliant on how to manage

rooms. Rooms are too much filled with emotion nowadays, social media too much

feel with a motion. Watch what Jesus does. Do not fear, only

believe? What's impacting my belief the crowd so verse thirty seven, and he

allowed no one to follow him except Peter and James and John and the brothers

of James. Jesus goes to the twelve that he just delivered out the great

storm, and he says, I'm just gonna use my executive team for this

one. Peter, James, John, let's go. Then after that,

yeah, yeah. They came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue,

and Jesus saw a commotion of the people weeping and wailling loudly. And

when he had entered, he said to them, why are you making a

commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but sleeping. And they laughed

at him. But he put them all outside. You're outside the will of

God if you put your feelings over your faith. Put them all outside,

and took the child's father and mother and those who were with him and went

in where the child was. Look at what Jesus does. He comes from

this praise dance of the daughter being made well, and now there's all this

weeping and commotion and crying, and Jesus like, what's going on? And

they're like, oh, the daughter is dead. The daughter is dead.

I'm like God and Jesus like no, no, no, no, listen

to my voice. She's sleep. Remember this whole chapter is about crowds.

This crowd has the ability to go from weeping to laughing like this, led

by emotion, led by culture. So I'm crying because of what happened.

But when I hear a word from Jesus on how he will restore, I'll

laugh at that. And we got to decide what do we value more the

voice of Jesus or the noise of the crowd. And the noise of the

crowd was too loud for Jah rule. So he said, you know what,

I just want three pastors to come in here, and Jah just get

your wife and your daughter. Not everybody needs to know your business. Not

everybody needs to know what you're praying for. Not everybody needs to know.

Look what Jesus is. Too much emotion, too much commotion, boundaries.

So they get in a room. Why so now Jesus' voice can be louder.

We've got to silence the noise. So the challenge is how do we

apply that in our life? Do we allow crowds to dictate how we should

feel? Remember Sarah in the Bible, crying because she couldn't get pregnant.

But when she heard that she could get pregnant, she laughed, and Jesus

held her accountable about that. Could we be so stuck in our feelings of

something that's gone bad and Jesus could be trying to give us a word,

but we're so stuck in our feelings that we won't believe that word to the

point we'll laugh at it. We got to have the right people in the

room. So faith can activate you, because no matter the facts, if

you put your faith over your feelings, you can follow Christ. So let's

continue and see what he says as we're talking about follow taking her by the

hand. Now the room is intimate, no crying, no laughing, no

emotion, faith, just believe, no fear. Talitha kumi, which means

little girl, I say to you, arise. And immediately the girl got

up and began walking. Everybody say, began walking, that's beautiful, this

is beautiful, for she was twelve years old. See, I told you

what wasn't lion? And they were immediately overcome with amazement. And he strictly

charged them that no one should know this and told them to give her something

to eat, no matter the facts. When we put our faith of our

feelings, what happens is we can hear Jesus' voice. And if we're obedient

to Jesus's voice, We'll begin to walk. We'll begin to walk. I

want you to think about what area in your life that has you stuck.

Could Jesus have been giving you a word tonight so that you could begin to

walk? What does that look like in your life? The Word of God

is alive. This is not just about that woman. This is about your

situation. What have you been stuck in in your mind for so long?

Tonight? God wants to have set you free. Why because if we change

our posture, not just for our issue, for our identity. How by

saying the whole truth to Jesus, we could begin to walk. My daughter

Faith now is twelve years old, but I have video of the first time

she began to walk. I want us to see the first time my daughter

Faith began to walk. Hell's got a buffer a wife feed though I forgot

I was wearing a wife feer, I mean feeling at home. That's how

I'm talking. Pomona lock In. I showed that video because sometimes when we're

in our feelings, we take advice from people that don't know how to walk.

Yet length of relationship does an equal depth of relationship. Okay, so

we got people falling in their own life, and then we're going to them

about because we've known them for a long time. So just take that for

whatever you want it for, right. But it's a beautiful moment because I'm

a father and I know she's figuring out to walk, so I stretch out

my hands towards her to make sure she's going in the right direction. So

when she begins walking, I don't have her go long distances until I put

her in my arms because I know when she'll fall. That's the love of

a father. Sometimes he allows you to water and try to get your balance.

But if you're going in the right direction and the father is saying,

come to me, then you don't got to listen to other people and go

to the wrong direction. Just focus on the father. Focus on the father.

But now my daughter's twelve, I remember when that at that time,

when my daughter was waddling, I used to I got three minutes. I

used to I used to give her a bath, and I used to wrap

her around in the towel rap rap. Then I would put her on the

bed and then I would yank the towel and she'd be like to heap a

baby power on everything like that, and then let me take your date me

do you can you imagine me doing that to a seventh grader? Now,

yee, you made it do But sometimes we expect Jesus to talk to us

like that. You wouldn't be the clean you're le to do, baby,

you would be because because faith don't do that no more. Faith can now

walk on her own. Faith can now run on her own. But there's

a video of her at twelve years old. She didn't stop being next to

her father. So I think this video right here could show what discipleship looks

like when you have thought partners in your life, but you're never leaving the

side of your father for safety. This woman began to walk, just like

us. We come to Christ, we begin to walk, but we shouldn't

stay there. We should continue walking. The way that we continue walking is

doing what that lady did. We hear the reports of Jesus. We make

sure we have a posture towards the Father, and we use our hands and

and our voice to declare the faithfulness of God. But to conclude, here's

the tension that I got. If we look at the very end, it

says here and he strictly charged him that no one should know this. Why

Jesus, remember earlier when there was the great crowd and everybody like Jesus.

He is a healer, Jesus, Jesus now in private, public battles,

private battles, Hey, strictly don't let nobody know this. When you read

the Bible, you got to ask why, like why Jesus, Why wouldn't

you want to know? Everybody know you're a miracle worker. Why aren't you

we sing it? I believe it's because Jesus didn't want you to know this,

because that's all you would know. He wants you to know him.

If you know this, you'll have a faith like j ru Jesus, come

this way and do what I tell you to do. Use your hands.

It may work out. But if you know him, no matter the facts,

you put your faith over your feelings and you keep following Christ. Heavenly

Father, thank you so much for an opportunity to learn from you. Thank

you that there are different facts in this room, and you know all the

facts. But I thank you that we learned tonight that when we have a

posture and share the whole truth with you, not only will we be healed

of our issue, we'll be healed of our identity issues as well. So,

God, increase our faith right now. Increase our faith right now.

Increase our faith. You said, don't fear, only believe, and maybe

not just believe in outcomes, maybe believe in you. Thank You that we

are worth dying for in Jesus' name. Amen. The start line of Christianity

is forgiveness. So when the scripture says she began to walk, what that

looks like is there's this line in front of us, and we can know

about Jesus when we're not with Jesus until we confess that we're a sinner and

we receive that we're forgiven by His blood that was shed on the cross,

and we begin to walk. I grew up in church. I knew my

mom would be playing the organ right now, my dad would be giving the

altar call, and I would be in the audience struggling with shame. Because

I knew the right plays. I just didn't have the courage to run them

because the play I needed to run is confession. But if I confessed and

shared the whole truth, I didn't know if I would be accepted, not

knowing that once you confess and share the whole truth, that's when you're set

free. So just because you're a member of church does not mean that you'll

be a member of heaven. There'll be many church members, many church workers

that the rapture will come and they'll still have church next Sunday. This is

salvation. Salvation is not about what church you go to. Salvation is what

have you done with the blood of Jesus. Have we ignored it or have

we applied it? Because the wages of sin is death, but the gift

of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus. So if you want to start

your walking, it starts by changing your posture. You've heard the reports about

Jesus. Would you tell him the whole truth tonight that you've been coming to

church but you're not saved. Maybe you're around the wrong people. Tonight,

accept Jesus Christ, personal Lord and Savior. Start the relationship, start your

faith journey with him. Or you can recall when you started your faith journey

with Jesus. Many many moons ago. You are a Christian, you're on

your way to heaven. But there are things that have happened in your life,

different hurts, different confusions, unanswered questions, unmet expectations, and we've

started to stray from Jesus. If that's you, I want to encourage you

tonight. The same thing that he did with the woman that experienced the faith,

he will do with you. The same thing that he did with that

man who lacked faith and was expecting Jesus to follow him. Look what he

did for job. He wants to do that for you. Would you consider

rededicating your life to Christ tonight? Would you consider making Jesus more of a

priority in your life. If we can all bow our heads and close our

eyes. If you're online, if you can lock in with me, we're

gonna pray a prayer. I'm gonna ask ranchall to say say it out loud,

but online, we're going to pray a prayer to give our life to

Christ. It's not the prayer that you're going to repeat after me that's going

to save you. It's how you feel in your heart, this confection.

You feel, the shame. You want that off of you. Or you

want to continue your relationship with Christ. All it takes is what Jesus said.

Don't fear, only believe He wants to set you free tonight to give

our life to Christ for the first time, to start our faith journey,

or to rededicate our life to Christ, to continue our faith journey. Repeat

after me, please, and I want everybody to say it out loud to

encourage those that are praying this for the first time to give your life to

Christ or continue your life with Christ. Say, dear Lord Jesus, I

believe that you died on the cross for all of my sin. From this

moment forward, you are my savior and my Lord. Teach me to trust

you, help me to have the right people in my life that point me

to you. Thank you for a fresh start in Jesus. Then we pray.
