Welcome to the ALC Podcast. Here at AC we seek the loss, teach

the found, and send the disciples. We truly hope you're encouraged by this

week's message. Hey, man, give Jesus some praise a little bit.

If you believe he's risen, God gets all the praise this Resurrection Sunday.

Praise God. As you're finding your seat, why don't you look at someone

and let him know, Remind him he's risen. Let him know today that

there's good news today today. Reason why the gospel is called good news because

when you hear it, that's not exactly what it is. It's good news.

It's good news for anyone that would receive this message as their own.

And we're so honored that all of you guys would be here this Resurrection Sunday,

rain or shine, everybody came, and in California, that says a

lot. I've always said before that if anybody in cal California would go to

church when it rains, there is an added tier of mansion in Heaven reserved

for California to go to church when water is outside. It's a big deal

for all of us. And so we're so glad that all of you guys

would be here today on this Resurrection Sunday is such a special day. It's

a special day. As we're about to jump into the message, but I'll

say this special day for me as well, because it's my first Resurrection Sunday

that I get to share with you guys, and I'm so honored to do

that. And you know, this Easter today will mark thirty Easters that Abundant

Living Family Church has had. Bunnyilleventcher is thirty years old, and I do

have some pictures that the teammate already showed us on the corner of my eye

right there. We always did a church picnic around the same time as Easter,

and that's me in nineteen ninety four, our first year as a church.

We did a church picnic and that's the only shirt size they had for

me. And then there I am in ninety four. Then here I am

in two thousand and eight, our first Easter Sunday, here in this property,

and so I'm in my dad's office at that time. Here's how you

know I was raised in a black church. Because my tie matches my shirt

because it came in a pack at the Stacy Adams store. They came in

a pack with the tie and the shirt and then you don't see it,

but I had fake Gator skin shoes with a metal tip in that outfit.

That just goes to show that I've had the opportunity to hear my dad preach

on resurrection Sunday. I'm a little older than thirty years, but for thirty

years, even when I was in college, i'd come home. I have

been able to hear the message of Resurrection Sunday every Easter Sunday here at Abundant

Living Family Church. And so I don't take it for granted, not only

what God has done here at a but also for Pastor Diego and Pastor Cindy,

who have faithfully continued to pastor here an Abundant Living Family Church because there

weren't always easy days and Easters didn't always look like this on Sundays, but

they stay faithful. Why because it was all worship to God, That's what

it was. And so I'm so blessed that I get to continue that legacy

here at ALFC to be able to share and Pastor Diego's here, He'll be

here second and third service. We have multi site campuses now, so today

he's hanging out first service at ALFC Pomona and saying hi to everyone over there

who don't get to see him regularly because he's usually hanging out with us.

Well, I'm gonna jump into the word today because I'm excited to share with

you all in Mark chapter sixteen. And would you guys do me a favor

as we jump right into the word and stand for the honor of reading God's

words. So, whether you're in our in this room in the overflow cafe,

Jim outside, would you join me. We're gonna read a little bit

of verses today. But I think it's important to read the passages of us

that inspired what you saw through film and through the performance today that allowed the

Bible to come to life in a fresh way. But as we read the

Word, we see the truth in which we saw it. Says this,

starting in verse one, when the Sabbath was passed, Mary Magdalen, Mary

the mother of James and Saloon bought spices so that they might go and anoint

him. And very early on the first day of the week, when the

sun had risen, they went into the tomb, and there they were saying

to one another, who will roll away the stone, for it is very

large. And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the

right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed. And

he said to them, do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth,

who was crucified. He has risen. He's not here see the place

where they laid him. But go and tell the disciples and Peter that he's

going to go before you to Galilee. There you will see him just as

he told you. And they went out and fled from the tomb, for

trembling and astonishment has seized them. And they said nothing to anyone, for

they were afraid. Now. When he rose on the first day of the

week, he appeared to marry Magdalen, from whom he cast out seven demons.

The author wants to remind us of who this woman once was. She

went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

But when they heard that he was alive and had been sent by here

what they would not believe it. They still did not believe verse fourteen.

Afterward, he appeared to the eleven in Galilee themselves, as they were reclining

at the table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and their hardness of

heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen,

and he said to them, going to all the world and proclaimed the

Gospel to the whole of creation. Whoever believes and his baptized will be saved,

but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany

those who believe in my name, and they will cast out demons. They

will speak in new tongues. They will pick up serpents with their hands,

and they will drink any deadly poison, and it will not hurt them.

They will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover. So

then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up

to heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went

out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message

by accompanying signs. Amen, you may be seated. It's a little bit

of versus here today, but it's important because everything we read matters to this

resurrection story. A pastor once said this, named John R. Rice.

He said, the resurrection is God's amen to Christ's statement, it is finished.

The resurrection is God's amen that I did that the moment that God said,

my wrath was poured on my son, and three days as he lay

in the tomb, the fact that the spirit has given him life. That

is his punctuation point. That's his exclamation point, that's his hey. This

journey ends and a new journey continues. It's God's final moment that he tells

us that he succeeded in what he endeavored to do for humanity and nothing was

gonna stop him. And so the resurrection is God's redemption. It's his retaliation,

and it's his resolution for humanity. God redeems us, He retaliates against

sin and Satan, and he brings about a resolution to this life that we

so desperately need that the world has still been searching for to this day.

You know, a couple of weeks ago, I was, you know,

I've started to kind of get into trying to get active and try to work

out a little more. And so I got an Apple Watch, and I

thought to myself, well, if I'm gonna wear an Apple Watch, I

need some fitness bands now, you know, I like, I gotta look

the part when I'm wearing the Apple Watch, because the bands I had were

like the metal ones. So I'm like, I need the stretchy fitness ones.

And so I go on the Apple app on my phone and I go

to purchase a couple fitness bands that I had been looking at. Well,

they don't unclasp. You have to know your size because it comes a certain

size, and there's like fifteen sizes, and so I open up and says,

oh, you don't know your size? Type in your wrists with and

I'm thinking to myself, Okay, I know the width of my wrist,

and so I input it and I buy about three bracelets, which if you've

ever been to Apple, I mean even a sticker cost two hundred dollars,

you know, so buying three bracelets was not cheap. And they come to

my house and I start opening them, and I like, tach it to

my Apple Watch and I put it on my wrist and then I notice I

move, and then I'd start wearing it throughout the day be like this.

I think to myself that the thing doesn't fit, and so I'm mad because

it's supposed to be a fitness thing. So it's supposed to be real tight.

It's supposed to be on your toie. So I'm upset. So I

go on the app and I'm saying, I'm gonna return these bracelets. You're

gonna waste the money. And then I open it and there's a little sign

that says not eligible for return. I think to myself, Oh no,

Apple, Oh no, we're gonna have some issues. How y'all charge as

much as you charge and it don't even fit. And it basically said,

you took the test beforehand, you told us where your size was, and

so when you bought it, it's on you. Not eligible for return.

But well, here's I'll tell you this. The beauty about the resurrection is

that is not eligible for return. You can't put Jesus back in the tomb.

The gospel doesn't go back in the tomb, and the message doesn't go

back in the tomb. There may be people who want the message to go

back. There may be people who don't like that message. But the reality

is is once the box was open, it was open, and once Jesus

resurrected, Oh, he resurrected, and he had new life. Here's the

part I didn't tell you about that Apple Watch thing. Was I had lost

some weight, and I use the measurement of my old weight to input in

the app, and so here I was. I was upset at Apple.

I'm mad at Apple. I'm walking around going, man, I don't know

if I'll ever get something there again. And then when I realized, oh,

it's because I had a fit that I was putting into the app,

and it was just giving me what I was putting it out. And there's

a lot of times people don't want this good news and it doesn't sound like

good news to them, not because the Gospel isn't good news. It's because

they have a measurement of their life that they're trying to live their way that

they're trying to do and they're inputting that way with the resurrection. I'll tell

you this that doesn't fit. That's why what we read reminds us that Mary

Magdalene once had seven demons. It was a reminder to say, hey,

don't get lost, that this woman was once someone that no one wanted to

be around, and it's the first person that Jesus wanted to get next to.

Because what happened was is she had gotten to a place where she had

rid herself of some things from her life by the power of God, and

it wants to remind us, hey, in this moment, she is not

the person she once was, and God's gonna trust her with a message that

some people would doubt. Even his disciples doubted hearing it from Mary. They

had to see Jesus with their own eyes. And when Jesus comes to them,

he says, he rebukes them why for their unbelief in Jesus being risen.

And so today we're challenged on Resurrection Sunday, not just to see the

red with our eyes, because I could take you to Israel and I could

show you to an empty tomb, and would that be enough proof of you?

I don't know. The reality is is believing This takes faith, because

that is what Jesus wanted us to do to preach the gospel. He wanted

you and I to exercise the faith that it takes to fully rely on Jesus

to fully trust his resurrection. So I encourage you, just like I didn't

do with my watch. Don't measure your life but what was measure your life

by? What is what is true is Jesus has risen and he has been

disturbed to our benefit Jesus been disturbed to our benefit a couple months ago.

You have been to a hotel and you ever seen one of these do not

disturb signs? So first thing, if you're like me, first thing I

do is I put this outside my room right away. I grab it,

take it, put it outside. Well, it just so happened one day

we were staying so where and it was checkout time, and but checkout time

was at eleven am, and the cleaning people start knocking on our door around

eight am to try to see if we left yet to get in there to

clean it. And so at about eight am they say, they knock housekeeping,

they open the door. I go, oh, we're still in here,

okay, sorry, and they close the door. About eight forty five,

knock on the door again, come in. They start bringing their stuff

in because now I'm in the restroom and I go, excuse me, I'm

still here. They oh, okay, sorry, you go out again.

About ten o'clock down they come back. They opened the door, they open

the door, now they knock, and then I grabbed and do not disturb

sign. I said, excuse me, does this mean something to you that

I thought it's supposed to mean to me, my checkout's at eleven am.

I thought, you're not supposed to disturb until this sign is off, and

they go, oh, yes, yes, we just tried to come and

clean. I said, I understand that, but the sign is on the

door. They didn't come back until eleven am. But the reality is when

Satan would come to try to disturb humanity. He tried to disturb Peter,

he tried, he did disturb Judas, he tried to disturb Mary. The

resurrection is the only thing that you can put on your life, that you

can place on you that when the enemy, when Satan, when Sin comes

to tempt you, come to try you, the resurrection is the only thing

you could point to and say, excuse me, I have a do not

disturb sign on my life. His name is Jesus. Jesus came down on

this earth, disturbed himself in heaven with the Father and said I'm gonna come

down and I'm gonna redeem humanity. So that in the same way Jesus had

to do not disturb in heaven with Satan. Satan couldn't do anything. But

God said, this is the plan I had for my people. This is

the plan that Adam and Eve had for their own life, but they chose

to sin and corrupt those things. So Jesus decides to retaliate against what Satan

tried to do to disturb humanity. And here's the promise God gives us.

In Isaiah sixty one ten, it says this. Isaiah sixty one ten,

it says, I will greatly rejoice in the Lord. This is a prophetic

text concerning Jesus. My soul shall exalt in my God. For He has

clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with the robe

of righteousness. As a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress,

and as a bride adorns herself with jewles. God has placed garments of

salvation on your life. In the resurrection, God gives you a robe of

righteousness. You may ask yourself, why does that matter? Why do I

need garments of salvation? Why would I need a robe of salvation? What

does that matter? And why does the resurrection give me those things? Well,

all you have to do is point back to Genesis chapter three. You

see in Genesis chapter three, when Satan comes to disturb humanity for the first

time it succeeds. It says this. He said to the woman, did

God actually say you shall not eat of any tree in the garden? And

the woman said to the servant, we may eat of the fruit of the

trees in the garden. But God said, you shall not eat of the

fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden. Neither shall

you touch it lest you die. But the serpent said to the woman,

you will not die, for God knows that when you eat of it,

your eyes will be opened, and you'll be like God, knowing good and

evil. So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food,

and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was

to be desired and to make one wise, she took of its fruit and

she ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with

her, and he ate it. Then their eyes were both opened, and

they knew that they were naked, and they sewed fig leaves together and made

themselves loin cloths to cover themselves up. To cover themselves up, you see

what happens is we see in Genesis chapter three that when Satan come to disturb

humanity, and he succeeded by the way in those moments, he convinces Adam

and Eve to eat of the fruit that would open their eyes, open their

eyes to what their own potential unrighteousness. The first thing that happens when they

take a bite, the Bible says, they realized they were naked. And

so then what do they do. They start getting leaves and they start covering

themselves up something that they did not know before. And so they start getting

leaves and they cover up their nakedness. Why because if you cannot clothe yourself

with God's righteousness, you will try to cover yourself with anything. That's the

reality of what they did when they no longer had the righteousness of God in

their life, they chose to get anything and start to cover themselves because they

realize, we're naked. And there's so many people in this world, just

like you and me, who are covering ourselves with whatever we can find.

Why. Because we have not clothed our life with Christ resurrection. We've not

put on the garment of salvation. And if you do not wear the garment

of salvation, then this life will be spent with you trying on thing after

thing after thing. That's why you see the world pursuing everything that it does.

That's why we put so much hope in humanity. We put so much

hope in what could be fixed and should be fixed. And we put hope

in this person and that person, and we put hope in this drug or

that thing and this person. Why Because if you have not realized that God

has a robe of salvation, then you will spend your life trying to wear

anything. If right now you went to go take a shower in one of

the showers we have on our property, and I went and stole your clothes

while you were in the shower and you were completely naked, but you had

to leave. You would say, pastor Adam, do you have any clothes

for me to wear? And I'd say yeah, let's just say you are

a guy. I said, yeah, I do, but all I have

is this dress. You'd be like, I don't care, I just gotta

leave. I'm just trying. When you're naked, you don't care what you

wear. You just try to cover up. And that's what happens when you

don't receive the resurrection as your own, when you don't put on that garment

of salvation, you they'll choose anything to try to cover up, but God

wants to cover you up. The success of the Cross and the resurrection is

God's final point that he says, I can now give my people a robe

without it consuming them. I can give them a garment without it overtaking them

because Jesus is in the middle. But you see, Adam and Eve,

one of their problems were and this is the reality that they thought God wasn't

around. They thought this communication was just between them and the serpent. So

they thought, if we just take a little bite, how's God supposed to

know? And we know that God sees all. But here's the beauty of

what God does. When he first interacts with Adam and Eve, he says

this, why do you guys have clothes on? He knew what happened in

heaven. He knows the answer, but he wants them to recognize. You

know, you can't hide what you did, right, because all these habits

that you have in your life give away that I'm not in your life anymore.

And so he tells them the fact that you have sowed leaves together and

placed them over your life. I never told you you were naked, and

so something and someone has told you that, And now it's a dead giveaway

that Adam and Eve realized, Oh, we can't hide anything from God.

I guess there are no secrets from God. And the resurrection allows us to

open that tomb of our life, open up all of the skeletons, all

of the bones, and God says, I can give life to those skeletons.

I could give life to those bones if you would realize that there's nothing

to hide from God. There's nothing you can hide from the Lord. You

know, here at our Rancho campus, I know I got people watching us

online. Our Promonent team is watching our Promona campus watching too. But here

in Rancho, all of you that are here, you know this. Our

church is unique in the sense that we are an ecologically contained campus, which

means that almost every but plant and vegetation we have on our property can be

eaten and consumed. And so let's just say the end of the world came

and you needed some food. Ecologically contained means you can survive for a certain

period of time just on this campus alone by the fruits and the vegetable and

all of the things that we grow. And so that being true, you

know, we know we see people here and there, y'all take oranges and

tangerines and stuff like that. That's fine, that's not a big deal.

But you know a lot of people are nudging their spouse right now. But

how many of you guys, how many of you guys have ever tried to

grow an avocado tree? Before? You've ever done that little seed thing and

you put it in the cup, and about a year and a half in

you just end up throwing it away because you only got like six inches of

roots. And well, we have about four or five avocado trees on the

north side of our property and they're legitimate trees that are fruit growing. So

those have taken decades to grow. And then every fruit season, every avocado

season is about two to three years. They're not annuals, so it takes

about two to three years for an avocado to even get to the place that

you could pluck it and you can actually eat it. So my youngest son,

Thomas, just turned three, which means just recently we were able to

pull from our avocado trees, which means my son wasn't even born yet when

those little plants first started to bustle. Some of the avocado seeds the tree

was there, but the fruit was coming out. My son wasn't even born

yet. How many guys can agree that's taken time because I like at my

three year old and I go, oh, my goodness, you're already three.

You've gotten so big that three years can be a long time. Well,

some of our trees, while all of our avocado trees had reached a

point of maturity, and so our team, our facilities team, was getting

ready to harvest all of them, and we were gonna get maybe about two

or three hundred avocados out of the trees. And so they started to prepare

and you guys know, it goes to our health center, and it goes

to other places and we give it away and stuff like that. So what

happened was one evening, though before our team was able to harvest, a

gentleman from across the street came. When all it got dark, late late

late at night. He came and he brought sack cloths, and he came

on to the church property and he brought his sack cloths and he started plucking

from the avocado trees. The team guestimated that he took anywhere between one hundred

and fifty and two hundred avocados. How many of you guys have gone to

the grocery store and tried to buy one? What are they right now?

Like four dollars five? Ours are organic? So you know, like what

five bucks won takes five times one hundred and fifty. Okay, you could

do the math. And so he feels the sack class and he just walks

back over to his local business. And so the next day, our facilities

teams comes to me and said, hey, Pastor, I just want to

let you know. Here's what happened. Some guy came yesterday and he starts

to explain to me everything. I just sit and I said, hey,

rich, how do you know this with such great detail? How do you

know? Like what time he came, how do you know how many sack

cloths he brought? How do you know? He started explaining to me like

what he looked like, And I said, how do you know? He

goes, oh, well, I have a camera on that just aimed straight

to those trees that I was just able to zoom in and see who it

is. He works locally. I've seen him before or walking around his workplace.

And he goes, do you want to see it? I said,

no, I don't want to see that guy, I said, I don't

want to see who it is. I'd rather not know who it is because

I want to be able to drive around this community with a smile on my

face everywhere that I go. But for the sake of fun, I have

the video now, I'm just playing that someone would say, Uncle, that's

my cousin, or that'd be you sitting in here today. But regardless what

it is, is it amazing that we always think whatever's done in the dark,

no one will ever see it and no one will ever hear about it.

But that's just not the truth, you know, Jesus tells us in

Luke chapter twelve. He says, nothing is covered up that will not be

revealed, or hidden that will not be known. Therefore, whatever you have

said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and whatever you whispered

in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops. There is no secrets when

it comes to God. You may think that you have the perfect plan to

do whatever it is that you want to do in your life. That guy

probably in his head he thought to himself, I'm gonna wait till eleven thirty

pm. I'm gonna. I have looked. I know where their security drives

and doesn't drive, and you can see it so inconspicuously. My facility team

tell me, oh, he knew all the right moves, but what he

didn't realize was there were cameras. He overlooked one important part of the matter.

NT Wright says this, the resurrection of Jesus is the beginning of God's

new project, not to snatch people away from Earth to Heaven, but to

colonize Earth with the life of heaven. The resurrection calls us to the point

where God desires to bring Heaven to Earth. And God has called you and

I. When Jesus spoke to his disciples, he said this now, I

give you the message to go on the world and proclaim this. Now.

I encourage you to go to every corner of the world and show this.

The moment that my team showed me or told me that video would be there

immediately, I had felt challenged that God just said, you know what,

Adam, it's just fruit. It just let it go. And I just

was reminded that God's mercies are new every single day. And I was reminded,

and I'm thankful to God that he doesn't display put me on display every

single day. If I could imagine what would happen if my life was put

on a screen. What would happen if my thoughts and my decisions were placed

on a screen. What would that look like. I'm thankful that the grace

of God washes away the guilt washes away, the shame, washes away the

burden that you and I can fully trust God that he would wipe away every

tear, and he would wash away every sin. And the resurrection allows us

an opportunity for God to cover a multitude of sins. To God to wipe

our slate clean. Wipe our slate clean. The Bible says one day there

will be a judgment day where we stand before God, and one day we

will either see our life played out to show our sin so that God can

show us how many opportunity we had to repent, or God will simply show

us the fact where we have said yes to Jesus. God's desire is to

show us in our own life one day when we stand before him the one

decision of a accepting the resurrection, or one day we will have to be

showed the decisions we made. Everything we've done in dark everything we've done in

private. The resurrection opens our life where God can say, I can redeem

that, I can touch that, and I can use that. And so

God has given us a resolution to today's questions. People are always asking questions.

There are multiple websites that are used just for people to ask questions.

God gives us the resolution and the resurrection. God's resolution was as Satan would

go about disturbing humanity, God would give us a way to place a person

over our life that would give sin and separation no place to disturb our life.

The question for us today is the resurrection Sunday. Will I allow the

work of Jesus to disturb my sin? And will I allow his sacrifice to

redeem me fully? Will I allow the resurrection of Jesus to be personal?

Or will I be like early on some of the disciples that said, and

I see them one day, I got time, there's still space, I'm

still young. We know the reality of the world today that life is not

promised to anyone. There are people who pass away all the time for all

unforeseen things. And the Gospel gives us a chance that whoever would hear the

good news, you have a moment to receive it. It's not a task

or a duty system for God to receive the resurrection. It's an infinite decision

that says in that moment, Yes, I trust Jesus to cover my sins

and give me the robe of righteousness and give me the clothing of salvation.

I believe that to be true. The resurrection of Jesus gives us the opportunity

to say yes to the work of Jesus, and so I want to encourage

you today. I've heard this now for twenty years on a Easter Sunday and

a Resurrection Sunday. Pastor Diego says it every single year, and I'm gonna

say it to you today. For those that have maybe heard never heard this

message before, never heard the Gospel before, or have but never gave your

life to Jesus. There was a story of a man who was very wealthy

and him and his son loved the arts. They would always go to museums

and they would always go and he was wealthy, so he would collect many

plaintings, so he would have picassos and remembrance, and his son was such

a great artist, and so they enjoyed so much of the arts. Together.

They would go to shows and exhibits, anything that was in town,

and they just loved it. And he had this beautiful home and so when

they ever saw a peace they just loved, he would buy it, he'd

put it in the house. And then one day, during World War two,

his son got drafted into the military and he can knock on the door

and his birthday gets cold, and so his son has to go to the

military and do service. And we all know how gruesome war can be,

and so every day the father would hope and pray that his son is all

right, and his son would write his dad little letters, and he would

do little stick figures and pictures of whatever he saw, and wherever he was

at, if he was in France or England, he would send his dad

letters with little pictures. And it was just him and his dad. All

their other family had passed, just him and his dad, And just so

happened that one day they get another knock on the door and they're holding the

flag of their son who had passed away in war. The father begins to

weep and he's heartbroken. He loved his son so much, and so he

turns out all the lights. He covers all the paintings. He puts black

cloth over it. He don't want to see any of that stuff anymore.

He just covers it and just begins to grow, and it just begins to

sit there, and dustin de brief begins to form, and all of a

sudden, about a year later, his son's best friend that served with him

knocks on the door and he says, sir, while your son, briefly

right, almost momentarily before he passed, he was sitting in barbarics, and

he was drawing a picture of himself, a self portrait, And so I

happened to have been in my pocket while I was on tour, and when

I came back, I just thought to you that maybe you should deserve this

picture. So he gives it to the dad, and the dad is filled

with great joy, and he takes off all the cloths and he kind of

has new life again, and he's excited. He has his son back.

He has a picture of his son, and he's full with so much joy

and so much hope. But shortly after that, the father passes of old

age. Since there was no one there to pass the estate to, they

were doing a public auction and so the bank came in, and the bank

got all of his paintings, all of the picastos, all of the remembrands,

all the everything you could think of. They put it, and they

listed out on southerbast that this is gonna be on a certain day. They're

gonna auction off all the paintings. So all the who's who show up.

Everybody comes because everyone wants to get a piece of these famous paintings that this

man has collected for decades. Right before the auction starts, they say,

hey, before we start the auction of these things, it was placed in

the owner's will that we first put on bid the picture of his son,

and so we're gonna start the bidding off at three hundred dollars. And so

at three hundred dollars, no one takes it. So the guy says,

how about two fifty no one takes it. How about two hundred no one

takes it. How about one hundred, no one takes it. Finally a

man raises his hand. He says, I'll give you fifty dollars for the

painting. We want to just get moving, let's go. I'll give you

fifty dollars for the painting. So all of a sudden, then the auctioneer,

he closes the gabble. He slams it on the ground, and he

says, now, I'd like to read you the rest of the will of

the owner. He says, upon the end of the bid for my son's

painting, I would like to know that whoever gets the sun gets it all.

And so the man says, so the auction's closed, sir, everything

is yours because you have received the sun. That's the result today. He

that gets the Sun gets it all. He that receives Jesus gets it all.

He that trusts Jesus gets it all. He that gives their life to

Christ you get it all. All those that would follow Jesus, you get

it all. He that gets the sun gets it all. That's the hope

of the gospel today. And so if you're in this place watching online,

and any of our overflows are in this place, if you've never given your

life to Jesus Christ, I encourage you today to choose the sun. Clothe

yourself in the work of the resurrection. Whatever garments you've been putting on your

life, whatever leaves you've been trying to cover up in your life. The

beauty about Jesus is if you would choose Jesus, you get it all.

You get all the peace, all the salvation, all the healing, all

the joy, Everything that you have been searching for, It's found in Jesus.

So I want to encourage you at this time. Right now, we're

gonna say a prayer out loud, and as we say this pray out loud,

we're gonna be affirming the work of Jesus. And when we're done with

this prayer, I'm gonna ask that whoever says that prayer for the first time

or rededicate their life, even if you're in the overflow, when we're done

with that prayer, I'm gonna count to three, and I'm just gonna ask

that you stand up boldly. We saw today in video, and if you've

joined us for the all of Holy Week, that Jesus died publicly on the

cross. The least we could do is publicly acknowledge him. So let's say

this together and then you'll stand to recognize so we can celebrate God's work in

your life. Would you join me in saying this day, Dear Lord Jesus,

in this moment, I confess you as Lord and Savior. I believe

in my heart that you died on the cross and you rose three days later.

From this day forward, I commit to follow you for the rest of
