How L.O.W. Can You Grow? || Pastor Aaron Levy

Praise God. I'm so honored that I get to be entrusted by Pastor Adam

to be a part of the walket Out series, so I want to honor

him. He said, I was more physically fit, but I had to

be humble enough to say that's not my lane. So so grateful for a

team, Grateful for Pastor Nathan who stepped in for me. But hey,

can we can you help me honor our founding pastor, Pastor Diego, who

helped remind us that our hope and our faith and our foundation is found in

Jesus. And I kind of feel like we tag team preached this morning because

he reminded us of Second Chronicle seven fourteen. If my people who are called

by my name will humble themselves. So when you know that you've been called

by the name of Jesus, God is calling us to humble ourselves. So

what ends up happening is what I've learned in my faith journey is you will

either have private humility or public humiliation. And a lot of public humiliation we've

seen a lot because people weren't humble in private. And the most practical way

that you can express being humble is praying to the one that can help you.

Amense, I'll stand to our feet. We're gonna go to Psalm one

sixteen, verses five through nine. I'm gonna read from the ESV. So

you can look on the screens, or you can open up your Bibles.

I love them. When we stand and we start hearing some some page's turn,

you're that noise. It's a good noise. So Ione's sixteen five through

nine. Gracious is the Lord and righteous. Our God is merciful. The

Lord preserves the simple. When I was brought low, everybody say, lo,

he saved me. Return, oh my soul, to your rest.

For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you. For you have delivered my soul

from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. I will

walk, Everybody, say, walk before the Lord in the land of the

living. Let's pray. God. I thank you that you will empower us

to walk our salvation out with fear and trembling. Holy Spirit. I thank

you that you're in this room. I pray that you eliminate distractions, and

I thank you that you will use your word to comfort, to bring us

hope, but also to bring us challenge and conviction. And and empowerment to

walk it out humbly for your glory. In Jesus name, we pray ay

man a man. You may be seated as you're getting settled. Can you

turn to your neighbor and tell them the title of today's message. Lock it

in with your neighbor and say how low can you grow? Go to your

second neighbor, the one that you just ignored. You just ignored them.

They looked to you. You was already looking somewhere else. Look you.

You go to the second option and say how low can you grow? The

more humble we are, the more Jesus can trust us to elevate. And

our lack of humility sometimes becomes a cap on our leadership or becomes a cap

on our growth. So I'm gonna give three keys on how we can walk

it low. L Ow. To walk it low, you need to listen,

obey, and wait. Listen, obey, and wait. But before

we do that, I wanted to go a little bit into Psalm one sixteen

five through nine because I'm a visual learner and this is the way that it

was set up in my Bible. Because once you know that God has delivered

you, then it's easier to walk humbly. And I saw how these words

were lined up, that walk was the lowest. So it looks like our

start point is right here, that this is the start of our faith journey.

And then we start walking right here. So here's you right here.

Okay, so that's you right there, and you're gonna walk it out.

But before that, we have to recognize that our faith journey started with death.

If we go to Ephesians two one, it says that you were dead

in the transgressions of the sin, walking towards the course of the world.

So when we start our faith journey, the first thing we recognize is no,

I need to die to my flesh. I need to confess that I'm

a sinner in Jesus is the hope of the world, and then I can

start walking it out. But once you die to your flesh, what ends

up happening? There may be a lot of tears that ends up happening,

because the faith journey has to do a lot about unlearning. That's why King

David would cry out to the Lord all the time, because once you start

your faith journey, you start recognizing man feeling convicted on how I used to

walk how I used to treat people, how I used to treat my finances,

things I've done, and so forth. But I'm so grateful. In

Revelations twenty one, verse four, it says God will wipe away every tear,

so no matter what you face today, you can give those tears to

Jesus. He is your hope to help you walk it out. And once

those tears are wiped, you have clear vision to start stumbling, So you

don't start sprinting. You don't start walking. When you start the faith journey,

it actually starts as a stumble. So I'm reminded of my daughter's faith

in Trinity. When they first started walking and they would fall, I would

be right there to pick them up. I wasn't there to criticize her.

You should be running right now. No, man, thank you for progressing.

Proverbs chapter twenty four, verse sixteen says a righteous man falls seven times,

that gets back up seven means complete. You could be a complete failure,

but by the grace of God, you can get back up and rise

again. And when you rise again, you will walk it out before the

Lord. You're walking with Jesus right next to you, just like Psalm twenty

three Yeay, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of Death,

I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Say walk it

lo. We're gonna walk it low today. You know what, Let's let's

let's do a case study on Moses. I love the worships that calling on

the God of Moses. That's what we're gonna do right now. We're gonna

look at Moses, and we're gonna go to Numbers, chapter twelve, verse

three, and we're gonna talk about listen. But I want your opinion on

what Moses says on Numbers, chapter twelve, verse three. It says,

now, Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on

the face of the earth. He wrote that himself, he's got a like

a rapper talking in third person, flexing about who he is, Like can't

you call yourself the most humble man possible? Like if I were to try

to write him like God, don't strike me down, I'm gonna jump and

try it. But Moses is saying that he's the most humble, and I'm

going to support that because he was a great listener, And let's talk about

how he listened. But if you don't know who Moses is. In Exodus

chapter two starts his story. He is a Hebrew, but his family is

in slaves to the Egyptians, and what happened in Exodus chapter two, his

story starts with hiding and failure. His anger gets the best of him because

he sees Egyptians beating his family members, and the Bible says, he looks

this way, he looks that way and seeing no one, he killed an

Egyptian. So we didn't start humble, because humble means when I get angry,

I look up to God for help. He didn't look up, He

just looked to the side. He killed someone and he tried to hide it,

but he got caught. Now he's a convicted felon on the run.

That's how his story starts. So Exodus chapter three, he goes into hiding.

He doesn't want to go back to Egypt because they're gonna catch me.

I'm a failure because of my past. But God, in his mercy and

his compassion, knows if Moses won't look up to me, I'll come down

to him. Because what ends up happening in Exodus three, Moses sees a

burning bush. God will come to your level because of his compassion for you.

And he speaks to Moses and he grabs his attention to forgive him,

to affirm him, to give him purpose, to give him calling, and

say you are called to be a leader, but go back to Egypt,

and that's where I called you to lead. Ah, I can't go back

to Egypt. They gonna put me in jail. They're gonna kill me.

So you gotta be humble to listen to the word of God, even when

it's hard. But this is why I'm gonna say that Moses gets my vote

for being most humble because listen to this. He hears from God in a

burning bush. He hears the voice of the Lord. And what you do

next after you hear from God displays if you're humble or not. Here's what

he didn't do. You know what, I'm writing a book. It's called

here How to Hear from God? Hashtag burning bush. He didn't say,

you know what, I'm doing a vision interest party right now. Who wants

to join my team? We're gonna that he didn't There's nothing wrong with those

things. But he's just getting started out. So let's go to Exodus four

and see how he listened to display his humility. Exodus chapter four, It'll

be over here. Look what he says. Here. Moses went back to

Jethrow. Everybody, say Jethro his father in law, and said to him,

please, let me go back to my brothers in Egypt to see whether

they are still alive. And Jethro said to Moses, go in peace.

And the Lord said to Moses, Emedian, go back to Egypt, for

all the men who are seeking your life are dead. This is beautiful because

he hears from God about his future, but he vets it through his current

leader. He transitions, well, he's a humble leader, and everybody needs

a jath Throw in their life. You know what Jethro means in Hebrew.

I'm glad you asked. You're silence, you're curious. It means friend of

God. And there's sometimes in my life if I don't know if this is

the voice of God or if this is my ambition. So I gotta vet

it through leaders who have done this longer than me that can say, nah,

that's probably your ambition, or somebody that can encourage me. That's the

voice of God. You need to do that. And jeth Throw would encourage

him and say go in peace. But it gets better than that. God

was able to trust him with more revelation because he was humble. Remember what

his fear was. I can't go back to Egypt because I'm a convicted feeling.

But when God sees that you're humble with your current leader, he knows

that he can entrust you with additional revelation. So God will come to him

and say, you know what, you can go and take care of your

future because I've covered your past. Everybody that was in Egypt that was seeking

your life are now dead. So now go in peace into the future because

you're humble in your present. He's humble when we hear from God. Sometimes

it's like, man, I heard from God, and if anybody says anything

different, you're a hater. But your leader knows how to hear from God

too, and God knows how to help you transansition well. So if you

look at him transitioning, well, here's the thing. It's easy to start

humble. The challenge is can you stay humble? Because Moses started getting wins

in his life, he started he Exitus fourteen. You some of you guys

seen the ten commander let my people go. Maybe you got the beard and

then the rest. He's split and he's the leader, and he's marching people.

He's not as insecure anymore. People are calling him a prophet, people

are calling him a leader. All these problems are coming to him, and

he's solving these problems. And let's see if he ended up staying humble.

We gotta go all the way to Exodus eighteen. After he got his wins.

Let's see what happens. In Exodus chapter eighteen, he sees Jethro.

Jethrow comes back in town. Moses went out to meet his father in law

and bowed down and kissed him. He kept the same posture of humility even

though he got wins. So let's do something Pastor Kenney taught me how to

do. Let's extract some principles out of Exodus chapter eighteen so we could do

some humility training ourselves as it relates to listening. Are you guys ready for

that. It's gonna be hard. You might want to stretch. Okay,

let's look at some principles and see what happened here. Jeth Throw sees him,

and all the people are affirming Moses and calling him a great leader,

and Moses, you're annoying him. By God, you know how to hear

from God. But these are some questions that Jeth throw asks Moses. And

the challenge is who in your life can challenge you with these questions and comments?

It look at it says right here, what are you doing? Why

are you doing it? See some of y'all already triggered. Let me be

asking me why I'm doing I'm a grown man. Why are you hear me?

I'm asking me why what you're doing is not good? Wait? What

did you not see what I could do with the raw? Did you not

see the ten pledge? Did you not see all these lines of people trying

to get prayer for me? This is too heavy for you. Moses,

who in our life can look in our eyeballs and say that ain't it?

That? Ain't it for you? You are not able to do it alone.

Moses obeyed my voice, and I will give you advice. And God

be with you. Bruh Are you kidding me? What do you mean?

God be with babe? I'm obeying God's voice. You don't remember the burning

bush? And sometimes when we're challenged about our future, we talk about revelation

from the past. We're no longer in Exodus chapter three with burning Bush.

Now you're a leader and you don't have much leadership experience. It would be

wise if you have a leader in your life that can help. But sometimes

when we win, we don't want to listen to other people. So the

challenge in our humility training is who has permission to challenge you. If you're

online, you may want to screenshot this. If you're here, may want

to take a picture of this. And as you spend time with the Lord,

it's holy to ask God, will you help me to entrust safe leaders

that can challenge me. Everybody say listen, Moses, he listened. You

know. I want to honor Pastor Diego because he's been a jeth throw in

my life. And I'm reminded of when we were really preparing for the Pomona

campus. We're in Simon's Middle school, but we're believing for the campus that

we're at today, and we would go running every Wednesday, and he would

give me so much wisdom that, like I would try to record it so

I can listen to it later to apply it in my life. It may

be on the screen right now, Oh, it's on this screen. Right

here. Okay, cool. So this is me and Pastor Diego. You

know, you can't tell which one is taller, so we're just leaving a

mystery. But he would download to me, he would challenge me, and

I'm I'm gonna share one example of how he challenged me. It seemed the

more that we prayed for the Pomona campus, the worse it got, that

it was just slipping out of our hands. It wasn't gonna happen. But

he was inviting me to go to Arrowhead with two of his colleagues, and

I was like, Ah, this is it. We could do something spiritual.

I'm gonna ask him for him and his friends to pray for Pomona and

the campus. And I'm picturing how beautiful this prayer would be. Like,

Pastor, when we can go to Arrowhead, would you pray? No,

Aaron, I'm not gonna pray. What aren't you aren't you a pastor?

Don't you get paid to pray? Don't you aren't you a leader? And

see that's what happens sometimes, because we can either get offended or we can

grow. What he told me was we've already prayed for it, so now

our job is just to start thinking him for it. You thank him for

it until it happens. You thank him for it until it happens. So

what he exposed in me was a blind spot. But I can either get

offended and say, you know what I need to Matthew eighteen. Matthew eighteen

is like what the Christian community says when somebody's offended, you go and share

the truth. But before you Matthew eighteen, you may want to check if

you Exitus eighteen, have you humbled yourself and have people in your life that

can challenge you because you want to grow, Maybe the area of life that

you're asking to grow in, God will send a leader that I help break

barriers for you. Humility training. Listen, the next key is obey obey.

Sprite says obey your thirst. Don't be obeying your thirst. Out here

the Bible says, obey your God. You know there's a missionary by Her

name is Elizabeth Elliott. She passed away in twenty fifteen. You know I've

been listening to her podcast. Her picture may be on the screen, Okay,

cool. She has this quote here that says a lot of what we

struggle, we call struggling is simply delayed obedience. Oh, she's all in

our business because we're used to saying. Man, I'm just struggling with that.

It's just a struggle. It's just a reminded of my son Colin and

my daughter Eileen. They just got a dog named Biggie. Everybody go oh,

because if you don't, she'll be mad at me. Okay, now

she loves Biggie. And I didn't know that when your kids get a dog,

you become a dog grandfather. I didn't know this, right, My

closest friends are getting dogs, my kids is getting dogs. But here's what

they don't know about me. I've been discipled by my dad. He was

a maleman for forty five years. He would sit me down. Dogs are

the enemy. If you go on or run, you better take mace.

You better. So it's like, I don't know what to do. But

now my daughter has a dog, and I'm like, ah, so here's

what happens. My wife is now excited. I'm a dog grandma. I'm

seeing new emotions in my wife. I'm like, she buys a dog crate

for the dogs, she buys a pea pad for the dog, and I'm

like, okay, and then she tells Colin, Eileen, you guys are

going on a vacation. Will dog sit? What does dog sit mean?

I don't okay, cool, okay, But Eileen is like, Dad,

it's okay. Biggie's gone to obedience school. Biggie's so obedient, he follows

commands. I think he's part human. He speaks English like he's great like.

So that's like what it is. Right, So Biggie comes to the

house. The first thing he does when he comes into my house, comes

into my kitchen, looks at me and shows me how at number two doing

all right, goes in the backyard, hops right over the pea pad and

just starts spraying everything in the backyard. Yeah, I'm here, I'm here,

I'm here, I'm okay. Then it gets really bad. Anybody that

knows me knows I love my crocks. Biggie, God on my crocks.

Now here's what I didn't do. I didn't say Biggie struggling. No,

Biggie's disobedient with my giving my crocs. Don't be ruining my cruss the granddad

voice, And I'm like, what happens to the whole obedia schooling? Old

day man? He was so good and obedient school, and that's what happens

with us at church. It was so good at church. It's so easy

to be obedient at church. But coming to church is what you do outside

of the walls of the church, what you doing other people's homes, what

you do on your job, what you do in private. Everybody say obedience.

Maybe we need to remove the words struggling from our deaf, from our

vocabulary. Now I'm just struggling with pride. Maybe you know I'm being disobedient

with pride. I'm struggling with my phone. I am being disobedient with my

phone. I'm being disobedient with how I'm treating my spouse, because that's heavier.

And when we have a respect and reverence for God, and when we

say struggling is like ah, but there's some people. You're not struggling with

it. You may just be getting practicing it, maybe getting better at it.

People are just saying they're struggling. But if you're doing it over and

over and over, you're actually getting better. It's not a struggle. But

if we call it disobedience, we're in alignment with God, who is faithful

and just to forgive us for all of our sins and cleanse us from all

unrighteousness. The reason why is because we look to Jesus as the master of

being obedient if we go to Philippians chapter two. Philippians chapter two is an

awesome chapter if you want to look at Jesus as a model of obedience.

But here's what Jesus would say here that humility is a prerequisite for obedience.

But it says here and being found in human form, he humbled himself by

becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on the cross. So

the same way we did humility training for listening, let's do humility training for

obedience. You guys ready, Okay, let's stretch, let's get it going,

okay, Philippians two. In faith, all right, do nothing from

selfish ambition or conceit. I've learned in my faith journey that submission will get

you farther than ambition because submission has a lot to do with obedience. Ambition

has a lot to do with sacrifice. So we'll sacrifice for what we're willing

to be ambitious for. But first Samuel fifteen twenty two says obedience is greater

than sacrifice because obedience is on God's terms, sacrifices on our terms. There

are times when we may be getting upset with God for all that we've sacrificed.

But God may not have asked you to sacrifice that. He may just

be asking you to get aligned with his will. But we may just be

trying to barter with God with sacrifice. In humility count others more significant.

Notice it doesn't say in insecurity, count others more significant. Sometimes we have

a false humility and we flatter others and we say, man, you're better

in this year of the mom I'm nothing. No no, no no no.

Remember Moses, I'm the most humble. So you gotta know what you're

good at. You gotta know what you're not good at. And in one

of the tests is honoring when you see a gifting that's better than yours,

that you see something that gives glory to God. Share that man, Pastor

Kenny, I really love how you taught the scripture with that barrier on Wednesday.

Share that, don't just process it. Share that as a humility test,

because what you're doing is you're looking to the interests of others. And

you'll know that as soon as you go to a party is as showing you

go to church. There are some people here. I am Liot, but

I'm wearing got a new colone, got a haircut too. Or you come

into an invent Man there you are? Man, how you being? Tell

me something new that your child is doing? Man, that's great? Are

you interested in other people? Orre you just talking about what your child is

doing? And that's how a test of how we empty ourselves and the test

of emptying ourselves as do we serve? Because God says love God, love

neighbor. The most practical way that you can love neighbor is serving. So

the church doesn't need you to serve. We're not marketing for you to serve.

What we're doing is trying to help you on your faith journey so God

can entrust you more with blessings in your life, because blessings are attached to

how you bless others. So me serving in youth gave me practice on how

to be a better employee at Bank of America. That's what it is.

So it wasn't just about me greeting kids. It was about me being more

christ like. And the more christ Like we are, we will be obedient.

The question is what do you do for others that doesn't benefit you.

That's the question, because for me, I would say I'm coming. When

I first came to church, it was Easter twenty ten, I sat way

in the back where that gentleman what the hat is? And then when nobody

in my business came late, left early, and I would say I was

coming for God. I wasn't coming for God. I was coming for me.

I was coming for songs and sermons. I remember during the announcements and

doing the offering that was bathroom break. I I was not interested in engaging.

I love the worship. Love When Pastor Diego preached so much that this

was back when we got the notes every week, and I'd be like,

who's this name? This is not Pastor Diego. I don't know if he's

staying. And God'll humble you because now I'm the guy that people are looking

at. Oh, that's not Pastor Diego, and that's not Pastor Adam.

I don't know what's funny. Our life just plays a chick on you.

But we gotta stay obedient by being humble, because what happens is it's okay

if you're just coming right now for songs and sermons, but we pray that

you progress on your faith journey, because once you start serving, it's gonna

be hard to serve without getting in scripture. Once you start serving, it's

gonna be hard to just think about your own interests. So as we think

about Jesus and him being obedient, he is giving us the key ingredients on

being humble man. So we talked about listen, we talked about obey,

and now we're going to talk about the third point. And the third point

is weight. Third point is weight, and I kind of have beef with

the third point. I was sermon prepping by myself, and I was arguing

with myself because I wanted the third point to be win because it preaches easier

if you listen and if you obey, you will win. But that wasn't

God's will because when you listen and you obey, if the goal is to

win, then that's your only motive of being obedient and listening bartering with God.

So I'm listening to God, and I'm obedient to God as a response

of life service for everything He's already done for me. God doesn't have to

do anything more for me. So if I'm just trying to win, and

I'm gonna be obedient in the season until i don't win, and I'm either

gonna blame myself or blame God. So it's wait. We're gonna do full

circle and go back to what Pastor Adam preached. I'm sorry what he read

in One Peter five through seven. Likewise, you who are younger, be

subject to the elders. Clothe yourself, and all humility toward one another.

God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves.

Therefore, under the mighty hand of God. So at the proper time he

may exalt you, casting everybody say, casting all your anxieties on him,

because he cares for you. I love what it says, You're be subject

to the elders. I'm gonna ask Pastor Kenny, our senior associate passion to

come. Can we have honor Pastor Kenny. Pastor Kenny has also been a

jeath throw on my life. He is my mentor. He has helped me

a lot. We've broken bread and this just kind of looks like a lot

of times that I've been in his office. A lot of times we go

get something to eat at Haven City, and a lot of times we have

fun. We talk about the Lakers. But there's sometimes where he challenges me

and I don't like it because remember I wanted the last point to be winning,

right and and so so there's times where we're at the table and instead

of me submitting to his counsel, I just want to challenge his counsel and

I want to right you. You've been working out Okay, okay, well

hold up, okay, this illustration, uh I got. I gotta last

till next service. You remember when you counsel me on a counseling appointment and

you looked at me and you said, don't ever do that again. You

know Pastor Kenny, he'll look at you, he'll say don't ever do that

again. And they'll go like this. Everybody in here know to look.

We've all been pastored by Pastor Kenny. So there's times where I'm like,

no, bro, because it's no, we gotta use technology, and no,

I think my wife's disrespected me. And then all of a sudden boom,

he beats me in something and instead of me surrendering to the elder,

I don't like this feeling. This is a humble posture. I don't want

his experience to win. I want to prove that I'm better. I want

to prove that I can win. So if I can't get attention from winning,

I'll try to get attention from whining, Oh you hurt me, bro,

why you doing that? He's supposed to be there for me? And

instead of casting my anxieties upon God, I just wear a cast and I

just go to social media. Will you sign off on my caste? Because

the church has hurt me? Because there's another side of Kenny that he and

then I go to a mentor like that, I just want you to sign

off on my hurt just to show no, no, no, you said

you're a pastor, you said you're a counselor. I got some things going

on in my life. Then I go to social media part seven on how

I've been treated wrong by the church. And I'm not trying to belittle anything

that has hurt us. What I'm trying to illustrate, though, is that

I've had opportunities to be humble, and I didn't have hume humility in private.

So I go in public to try to be affirmed by the crowd and

culture says when you're broken, all we do is sign off on it,

not the kingdom. So what ends up happening is I don't cast my cares

upon the Lord. I just wear this cast and then I start getting anxiety

about myself because at first I'm blaming pastor Kenny, I'm blaming the church,

I'm blaming my wife, I'm blaming my boss, I'm blaming my kids.

But my anxiety is not me versus my wife or me against God. Anxiety

is me versus me. There's these fears on the inside of me that forecast

these future events that I'm terrified that will happen or that you would know.

So I spent a lot of time trying to protect myself from these future events.

It's just me versus me. So what I will do is I would

go to this mirror a lot of times and I would use my brokenness to

describe who I am, and I know that nobody would be there for me.

So I'm just lonely. But I'll probably deserve to be lonely because I'm

a liar and people don't really want to hang with me because I'm ugly and

thinking about the past, because I'm such a sinner. And I'm describing myself

and I'm using my brokenness, and I look at myself through my brokenness,

and I don't have any hope. And I get ready for church and I

leave and I go to church and I meet Jesus. But the way that

I meet Jesus, this is Jesus, Mexican Jesus. And no, this

is Joey. This is Joey Roblast. I honor him when we launch Pomona

Campus. We will get up at four o'clock in the morning and pull the

trailers together. So thank you so much for your service. But right now,

he's Jesus. We're a lot. He's Jesus. So when I come

to church, I'm used to fighting. People say, okay, Jesus,

what do you want? You want? You want to help? You want

to fight my batty? You want to And he's offering me relationship And I

don't know what that looks like because I'm used to just looking at myself in

the mirror. So so I'm not ready for devotion times. I'm not ready

for confession of sin. So I just go right back to the mirror and

I'm processing through my brokenness. Man, I'm a cheater. Man I'm addicted,

and as I'm looking at these things, this is me versus me.

I'm not casting my anxieties, but Jesus will come and interrupt my thoughts.

That's the power of Jesus. So when Jesus comes, he comes and he

tries to grab my hand, and anything that I'm fighting in my life,

Jesus will come to cross it out. Jesus will come to cross it out.

Jesus will come to cross it out. Jesus came from heaven to earth

that any failure, any shame, any sickness, he came on the cross

to cross out anything on my life. So anytime that I look in the

mirror and see myself and I'm reminded of my past, I don't look at

my past. I look to the cross. I look to Jesus. I

look to his love. I look to his sacrifice. I look to his

redemption. I look to his hope. Yes, that's what I did,

but that's not who I am. My hope is found in Jesus. My

peace is found in Jesus. So that's what freedom looks like. So I

have hope, and I could cast my anxieties on him, and I could

be at his right hand. The reason why I could be at his right

hand because his right hand was pierced with the nails when he was on the

cross. He loves you, he died for you. Yes, that's your

past. Yes, your anxiety's real. But his power is better. His

hope is better, his forgiveness is better, his freedom is better. He

is our hope today. He is our strict today. If you listen to

Jesus, if you obey Jesus and wait for his timing, he's the one

that will give victory. He's the one that will see it through because there's

nobody like my God. Amen, Hallelujah, hallelujah. I think this is

a good moment for us to pray, So it's for us to cast our

anxieties upon Jesus. There are some of us that have been fighting thoughts so

much, just looking in the mirror and utilizing our brokenness to describe ourselves.

But Jesus comes as a gentleman. He doesn't want to fight with you.

He misses you. So instead of you trying to work it out, let

Jesus cross it out. Then you can walk it out. God, you

know every single situation in this room, the questions, the statements, the

triggers that cycled in our souls, and I thank you are the power of

your righteous right hand, that you will strengthen us and you will uplift us.

Right now, shame off you in the name of Jesus. I thank

you that there's no place for shame in this room, that there is no

condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus. But I thank you God that

you're rising our level of humility to accept that we'll never be good enough,

but that you came and you died the death that we deserve, and you

lived the life that we couldn't live. So right now, in the name

of Jesus, any relation or trauma, any internal fears, any judgments that

we cast upon ourselves, I thank you right now that they're released in the

name of Jesus. That they're released right now, in the name of Jesus,

with our eyes closed and our heads a bow. This is a holy

moment. This gives us an opportunity to think about ourselves in this story.

Have we been fighting, counsel, Have we been fighting Jesus. Jesus doesn't

want to fight with you, He just wants to be included in the picture

because he wants to show you how much he loves you. The start line

of Christianity is forgiveness, so it starts with your confession that you've sinned.

But there's hope that everything that Jesus is on the cross eradicates your worst day

in any worst day you'll have in the future. And that sweet news to

all of us, because all of us want to savior, all of us

want forgiveness, and some of you for the first time to give your life

to Jesus and start your faith journey. But here's the thing. Jesus doesn't

just want to be your savior. He wants to be your lord. That's

how we're saying, walk it out. Will you trust him to follow him?

Some of you started your faith journey years ago. Will you trust him

again? Will you give him your anxieties? Will you give him your fears,

your past? Will you give him the things that torment you in your

mind? We're gonna pray a prayer to them. It's not the prayer of

me that saves you, but it's the way you feel in your heart right

now, the tug that Jesus is doing, saying I miss you. Come

back to me. Let's walk together. I'm gonna ask everybody to share this

prayer out loud to encourage those that are praying this for the first time inside

and outside to give their life to Jesus or to continue their faith journey with

Jesus. Say this with me, dear Lord Jesus, I thank you that

you love me as is. I'm a sinner, but you died on the

cross for all of my sin. I believe you rose from the dead and

you've forgiven me. I receive it. Now. Teach me to trust you,

teach me to follow you, and teach me to be humble in Jesus.
