Healing Through the Holy Spirit: Unlocking Wholeness || Pastor Diego Mesa

You know we're gonna Pastor Adam did an amazing job.

The first week talked about the Holy Spirit and the hosteing.

Then last week he talked about the help or the

Holy Spirit. And today I'm going to talk.

About the healer of the Holy Spirit.

And I want to prepare you if it's anything like

last services. The altar is going to be flooded with

people that normally would not come to an altar, and

God is going to call out so many things in

you that go beyond physical healing. Emotional and mental healing

is going to take place in this place, and that

many of you think you're all right, but you're not

all right under God's definition of being all right.

You're all right by society.

You're a functioning person, but just because you're a functioning

person doesn't mean you're a whole person under God's side.

And God's going to touch you. It's going to be

amazing today.

And then God's going to revive some vision in some

people that have lost their visions and their dreams and

they're low in spirit because maybe they failed or up

or they just become passive. And God wants to re

engage people. So we're going to have a great time

in a few moments. So would you stand for the

reading of God's Word. And we're going to read the

opening passage today, and it reads like this in Luke.

This is from the AMPC version. Then Jesus went back

full and under the power of the Holy Spirit. How

many of you would like that in your life, full

and under the power of the Holy Spirit. That's just

not for preachers, clergy, that's for you. You need it

on your jobs, you need it in your homes, you

need it with your families.

I don't want to be operating on empty. I want

to be full, and I want to be full of

the power and presence of God, the Holy Spirit.

And it said in his fame spread throughout the whole

region round about now, wat'says.

The spirit of Lord. Jesus said, this is his first

sermon that he ever preached.

He said, the spirit of the Lord, which is the

Holy Spirit, is upon me. And now he's going to

describe the evidence or the man of festations of the

Holy Spirit on a person. But talking about Jesus, he

has anointed me to preach the good news. How many

of you believe that you.

Should be preaching the good news.

How many of you recognize I need the anointing, the

power in presence of God to do that. If not,

it's just theology, it's religion. It's chatter, and people ain't

gonna listen to it. But he says, Then he says,

to preach the good news to the poor. The poor

is not just simply talking about people that have no money,

poverty or homelessness. He's talking about the condition of one's spirit.

They're poor.

He has sent me to announce the releasing of the captives.

That's speaking of people.

Bound in sin, the darkness, the wickedness, the ungodliness of sin.

Then he says, and recovery the sight to the blind.

That's speaking of physical healing. So he's telling you all

the things that define Jesus's ministry from every other guru, philosopher,

theorist that has ever walked the face of this earth.

So there was a physical element of healing in his ministry.

Send me this is huge.

Send me forth as to deliver those that are oppressed.

He was able to cast.

Out devils, people full of the devil, people intimidated, manipulated, dominated, oppressed,

and tormented in their minds. Jesus said this, and he

describes it downtrodden. I know there's people in this room.

There's people in this room bruised, crushed and broken down

by calamity, and you may be seated.

All those things. I believe Jesus is going to do.

Today in this room amongst us today, and it's going

to be amazing. When I was eighteen years old, only

just a few months before, I had gotten saved. I

had heard the gospel. I grew up as a Catholic.

This was just my testimony, and I had never heard

that Jesus had died for the healing of my body.

I didn't hear.

I didn't understand that by his stripes we were healed.

We never taught were taught that in the Catholic church.

But I'd finished my cross country season as a senior

in high school and now is going into track season.

My goal was to get a scholarship to run for

don't be offended for the UCLA Bruins.

Fight on anyways, it was my goal.

So my friend went there and I started training with

the collegiate athletes, and I was able to run with them,

and we were putting in a lot of.

Great miles and I was. I just had so.

Much ambitions and goals for that track season that was

going to take place. I had my first race in

early May and broke all kinds of records and ran

a phenomenal time, and I just thought it's going to

be great. Well, I had a sixth period before before track,

and I it was just an aid to the gymnastics coach.

And when that period ended, the runway was there, the

springboard was there, and the.

Horse was there.

So I decided to be Simone Biles and I ran

down it. I springboard off and my thigh hit the

horse and I flipped over.

Needless to say, I couldn't get up.

I tore all the ligaments in my thigh and there

went my season. I wore crutches, I gimped, and I limed.

The whole way.

I couldn't run a race at all because of the pain.

Level was so strong.

Two weeks before league finals and I couldn't train. Was

the first time that I try.

To test it. But let me go back, because every

day I would pray, Lord, I thank you that you

are my healer.

And according to the law of one Peter two twenty four,

you've healed me God, and so I believe that whatever

damage took place is going to get healed. And I

believe that I'm going to be able to run league finals.

I was praying that every day. Well, two weeks before

I ran it. And I ran this race, this mile race,

and I ran terribly. I ran slower than I'd ever

run before around like a five point fifteen mile, which

was really slow from me back then, and I was

gimping and the.

Coach told me, get off, you're you know you're hurting yourself.

Diego and I but I just kept believing God. Two

weeks later, I won.

League and I ran as fast as I've ever run before.

It was the first time, as a senior in high

school that I tested the word whether.

It be true.

And I found out that God is a healer. And

it was a miraculous that I could get on that

starting line, let alone, win the race and run my

fastest time.

Jesus is a healer. Well, here's what you need to recognize.

Where do you go when you are filled downtrodden, when

you are overwhelmed with calami?

Who do you turn to and.

What do you do when you feel the disases of

this world because here's what I know. This world is

more disased than it's ever been before. Knows how I

played with the word because I'm not just talking.

About physical ailments today.

I'm talking about this disase that's in people's marriages, on

their jobs, with their children, in relationships, the sleeplessness, the

stress in their lives, the worry, the fear, the anger.

All these are disseases of society.

And where are we going to go?

So here are the three things that I want to

share with you as I have the few moments with you.

The first thing is to define again what Jesus's ministry

look like. So in Acts ten thirty eight we get

introduced to this word how God anointed power, impresses of

God gifted gifted him, How God anointed Jesus now is

with the Holy ghosts and power.

Say power, okay, So this word.

Power is where we get the word deunymus from, or

the English word dynamite from. It is an explosive power,

it's a demonstrave power.

It's a power that is unlimited.

It's a power to go against any opposition and adversity

and overcome it. And it says how God annoyed Jesus

with holy ghosts and power.

How many of you know the church needs that power.

How many of you know the world needs to see

Christians with that power, he says, going about doing good

and healing all that are oppressed.

Of the devil.

And people today are being bound and people are being

oppressed by the devil. And this is what Jesus' ministry

look like. Because we live in a world that's sick

if you don't recognize it, and there's all kinds of

sicknesses in the world. And again, it isn't just simply

a physical sickness. It could be an emotional sickness, a

mental sickness, it could be a spiritual sickness in people's lives.

And the plagues of today are are raging rampant over

this world today. It almost seems like every plot in

every plan that the enemy has is prevailing, and it

would seem like people in humanity have no answers, no remedies,

no solution, and it becomes prey to the oppression of

the enemy. So we have modern day plagues that are

taking place that Amazon can't solve, Safari can't solve, fentanol

can't solve.

Marijuana can't solve.

Religion can't solve, sex, pleasure, leisure, faith, fortune cannot solve.

We got an issue.

My spirit is sick, my soul mind is sick, and

it's making my body sick. And these are the three

realms that Jesus came. So today we've got plagues all

over the place. They may not look like the plagues

of three thousand years ago when Moses was faced with

the plagues in Egypt, but they are just as destructive

as those plagues were. Or you hear in a third

world country where a plague breaks out. Let me talk

a little bit about the.

Plagues of today.

Violence is souring, Racism is souring.

Here's one political unrest. Do you believe that's a plague

of today. Yeah, and a.

Lot of Christians are falling victim to that. It's okay,

you're in the right place today. God's gonna minister peace

and restue you today. Idolatry people are worshiping every god

that's on this planet, the god of fame and fortune.

Athletic sports.

People are full of the anti christ spirit is a

plague today.

There was a time when our nation was honored God,

fearing I grew up in the times hard to.

Believe, where prayer was in my school and crosses were

on my buildings and Bibles were acceptable.

But I'm talking about just fifty five years later.

You better not bring that stuff into public arenas. It's

not allowed in our schools. But you can allow everything

else to exist with protests and parades. But don't let

that Bible. Don't let that Jesus, don't let that Christian stuff.

Don't let that prayer stuff. It's a plague. We become

a heathenistic agnostic. I could go on and on of

the homelessness. Nobody could solve the homelessness.

Nobody could start. But here's an answer.

Let's go back to what solved the plagues of one.

Thousands of years ago. There was a plague of destruction

in the land. The cry of brokenness was all over

the land, and God gave it the answer to his people.

He said, you go find an unblemish lamb.

And you get the blood of that lamb, and you

put it on the entry of your household, so that

when destruction comes, it will pass over because.

It sees the blood.

The blood is Jesus Christ.

Sean said the lamb of God that was slain.

Before the foundation of the Word. We put Jesus back

in our homes, We put Jesus back in our prayers.

We put Jesus's power, due to his power, back in

our lives.

And we believe that.

No weapon formed against me will prosper and nothing will

hurt me. And not afraid of the plagues of this world.

God's protection, God's power, God's preservation is more than enough

to watch over me. I'm not gonna walk in fear.

I'm not gonna walk in terror. I'm not gonna walk

around scared or frightened. I believe in the power of

the Cross and the shed blood of Jesus Christ being

more than enough. But the devil doesn't want you to

know that. Devil doesn't want you to know that I

don't know about you. I'm tired of these band aid fixes,

these TURNI kit solutions, this therapeutical counseling sessions.

I'm gonna say anything wrong with that. How many do

I have to go through before I'm better?

How much thousands of dollars none against do I have

to spend? And yet we have an anidote and our

antidote in the Bible is called Jehovah Rapha, the antidote

in the Bible is called the Great Physician.

In the Bible, he calls himself. He calls himself. We

don't call him.

He calls himself the bomb of Gilead. He calls himself

the bronze serpent lifted up.

And if you look on.

The bronze servant, you'll be healed of all the bite

snakes of this world.

In Isaiah, he's the substitution.

In Matthew, he is the burden bearer and the yoke destroyer,

and his second Peter, he is the legal rightful exchange

that by his stripes he took for us.

We have the right to be healed.

Notice these two scriptures I'm going to give you in Matthew.

In Matthew nine, it says this, and Jesus went all

about Galilee. This is the three prong approach of Jesus ministry,

teaching in the synagogues, preaching in the Gospel of the Kingdom.

And that's what it says, healing all kinds of sicknesses

and all.

Do you think that's really true? All kinds? Really it

is not headaches? What do you think? What do you

think all.

Kinds of sicknesses and diseases, mean, do you think that

those are things that are terminal? Do you think those

are things that where people are on deathbeds? Do you

believe that that's cancer stage four?

Do you think that's Do you think he meant lupus

or no, no, no, no, no, no, glaucoma, are rheumatory arthritis?

Do you think all those autoimmune diseases are within this description? Okay,

let's go look at another scripture of nine Jesus went

about the city's villages, teaching their synagogue, preaching the Gospel

of the Kingdom, and healing every really every sickness and

every disease. In other words, any condition that came to

Jesus's presence.

He was able to heal.

And not one time can you prove to him in

the Bible that he said, it's not my will or

oh my God, or oh myself, I.

Can't do this and leave them in that sick condition.

Just show me one evidence, because then we'll say, Okay,

then you don't have a right to be healed, and

good luck.

You might be the lottery picked that God chooses.

But it says every one, look at somebody and tell

somebody that includes you. Four weeks ago, I've been traveling

and we've been honored to do what we are doing.

And I was in Vancouver, Washington, and.

I just got the letter about three days ago from

the pastor and there was a three page letter written

to him and he forwarded to me, and it was

a police officer who's suffering from post trauma stress disorder.

And he says, I called it out in the service,

just like it will be called out in.

A few moments.

And he said he came forward, and I asked him

to come forward, and he innocently in the letter says this,

if this Mexican pastor.

Touches me, I know I'm going to be healed.

Then he put it out another thing on God, and

God's not intimidated by your question, says, if this Mexican

pastor touches my face, then.

I know for sure that it's going to be immediate.

He said, I walked.

Down the aisle and I touched his face and I

looked him into the eyes and I called it out

ps TD, and he said, I've been set free ever

since for the last four weeks. Imagine you getting on

a cruise ship today on a cruise ship today, how

many of you know you pay a fee, pay a

fee normally, what that fee does? It gives you access

with the payment of that fee to food, you go

to the buffet.

How many of you realize that? How many of you

could go to the gym with that?

How may if you could go and enjoy the recreation

with that?

How many of you could go and enjoy the entertainment

with that?

Imagine you paying the money and you just simply stayed

in the in the room and just poured it in

the cities and then got off. You'd be living beneath

your privileges. The price of the ticket gave.

You all these benefits to enjoy. That's calvary. It's the

forgiveness of sins. It's the deliverance of.

Your mind, and it's the healing of your body. Point

number two is how the disciples were used in the

healing ministry spirit, soul and body. In Matthew ten, in

verse number it reads, and when he had called us

twelve to him, he gave them what power there?

It is dynamite dudamus, not.

A watered down version, not a less than version, not

a struggling with the enemy version over unclean spirits, to

cast them out, not to counsel them out, not even

to pray.

I'm full of the devil. What you pray for me? No,

I ain't gonna pray for you. I'm gonna cast out

the devil over you.

That's what I'm gonna do.

The different thing, cast them out and heal all kinds

of sicknesses and all kinds of diseases. So now disciples

go out, and the next verse tells us here to

heal the sick, because they were now representatives of Jesus Christ.

Jesus could not be everywhere.

He can't.

He's not coming back to this earth to do his ministry.

You and I are representing his vehicles and vessels us

him to.

Heal the sick, cleanse the I can't do that. I

know that. That's why you.

Don't cleanse the heal the sick, Cleanse the leopards, raise

the dead, castel demons freely as you ever see, freely

as you have given. Now we're gonna go one more

scripture here in Luke, because you say, oh, that was

the original twelve, Well what do you do with this scripture? Then?

After these things, the Lord appointed seventy also we don't

even know their names, and sent them out two by

two before the face of every city place where.

He himself was about to go. And here's what that

happened to.

Behold, I give to you authority power to trample on

serpents and scorpions. That's every principality, that's every strong man,

that's every stronghold, that's every witch, every warlock, every curse,

every hex, every potion, everything that looks like witchcraft.

I give you power over the enemy. And I love this. Nothing.

Nothing, nothing shall buy you know what, Wave your wand

in front of me, Wave your broomstick in front of me,

Throw your potions and incense at me.

Nothing shall buy any means hurt me.

I'm covered by the blood of Jesus Christ, and there's

no greater power.

So Jesus was.

Talking about giving them a level of victory to cast

out devils and and enter into a victory in their

mental and the mental realm where the enemy was was

tormenting people, and where he was oppressing people and obsessing

people with all kinds of thoughts like grief and sorrow

and jealousy and bitterness and resentment and hatred, and lyne

and anxiety and worry and fear, and suicide and strife

and complaining and shame and lust and depression and heaviness

and hopelessness and coveteousness.

That's what people are being plagued with today. There was

a guy in the Bible like that.

His name was the Madman of Godera and is a

guy that suffered from stress disorder. Because when we meet

up with him, he cannot sit, He runs around naked,

and he's not in his right mind. But when Jesus

sets him free with the word of God, because he

is the walking, living, breathing Word, and he takes authority

over that spirit, the Bible tells us what the end

results are. The Bible tells us that he is seated.

See people that are struggling with the stress disorder, that

they fidgety all the time, they're looking all the time,

anything could alert them or distract them. But to have

rest and finally be seated in a posture he had

never been before, and then he was clothed. He's not

under the shame of what he was doing, the guilt

of what he was doing, the embarrassment of.

What he was doing.

And I love this. He was in his right mind.

A lot of people today are not in their right mind.

They wish they could have good thoughts, righteous thoughts, holy thoughts,

pure thoughts.

But I get perverse thoughts. I have weightward thoughts. I

have destructive thoughts. I have hatred thoughts.

I want you to know that God healed the woman

at the well from her issues of life, and they

were mental emotional issues.

Because she slept around she doubt with the memory of

all that. I don't know if she went to orgy.

She may have.

I don't know if she did the upside down Hippopotamus

with every Dick and Harriet.

But she needed to be delivered of that.

And I don't know if she had three sons, but

she and I'm not trying to be funny.

The anguish, the terror, the memory of where Sin drove

me to just to survive, to take care of my babies.

I need to be delivered. I'm a functioning person. I

got my act together.

See all my see my waves, I got to see

my nails.

See how cute I am in my mercedes I drove

I'm functioning, but I'm not whole. Nathaniel is a skeptic.

His emotional need.

And until you go to God, you will never know

what is missing in your life. You think you got

your act together. Girls go like this with their happening.

Guys go like this with their hand in the palm.

This little piece, God said, I got to give it

back to you.

You're not whole.

You're full of criticalness, you're full of jealousy, you're full

of envy, you're full of competition, you're bitter, you're angry.

I got to heal that.

And the last point is this, It's wonderful that the

Holy Spirit used Jesus it's wonderful that the Holy Spirit

used the disciples.

But Acts one eight says this, but you shall receive you, you, you.

But you shall receive power, dudymous, dynamite power. When the

Holy Spirit has come upon you, Holy Spirit, would you

come on us afresh and a new in this place.

I don't care how long we've been saved. I don't care,

for we've already been filled with the Holy Spirit. Baptize

us afresh.

And new in the past in your power.

And then the Bible says in Mark sixteen, what now

for their believers? That's you now, and these signs will

follow those that believe signs are supposed to follow you.

Religion has no signs, it's just words. This is a

proving gospel, and God loves to prove himself to people

these Why don't we see signs today because you don't

believe for signs? Because since these signs will follow those

who believe, not those who are believers, but those that

believe that signs will follow. They wake up every day

with expectation. When they're around a coworker and the coworker

tells them a diagnosis, they don't just sit there dumbfound

it with their compassionate tears and say I'll pray for you,

but don't really pray.

Say let me pray for you right now.

We're gonna believe God right now that God is gonna

heal you.

That's what he's talking about. And in My name.

They will cast out devils, demons, and they will speak

in new tongues that's been filled with the Holy Spirit,

with the evidence speaking to they will take up surface.

If ardicularly has divine protection in all forms of all fashion,

from drink to food, to stray bullets to whatever, and

by no means, and it will, by no means hurt you,

then you're gonna lay hands on the sick and you're

gonna They're gonna recover. This was a normal thing for

Jesus' ministry, It was a normal thing for his disciples,

and it.

Ought to be a normal thing for his church today.

This is what the world needs. People full of the

Holy Ghost. Not spooky, not stupid, not weird.

People that go home work jobs, but they're led by

the Holy Spirit to minister to the disases in.

People's bodies, minds and experience. All end with this.

The reason why we don't see the power of the

Holy Spirit has four eyes ignorance. We don't know that

we can, but you heard the word of God today.

Number two immaturity.

We're only thinking about building our kingdom and we're selfish.

Number three impurity, God's holiness. God's power has to flow

not through a perfect vessel, but through a pure vessel.

I can't have one foot in the church, one foot

in the Bible, one foot in the world. It won't

flow because the devil will look at you and say,

you know, Paul, I know, and Jesus I know, but

who are you to try to cast me out?

And then, last of all, idleness.

We've grown idle in the church and we're not practicing

what God asked us.

We got to activate.

You get a credit card in the mail that tells

you that you get five thousand dollars to use at

your disposal, But until you call that one eight hundred

number on that credit card, you can't use it. Faith

is a muscle and if you don't use it, you

lose it. It grows dormant. So I pray that the

idleness in your life, we're gonna stand up. We're gonna come,

and we're gonna worship for a minute. Then I'm gonna

come up.

Then I'm gonna come out forward and pray.

I want everybody and anybody who like to get prayed for,

who has an affliction, an ailment, an.

Illness, a sickness, or a disease, to start moving forward.

I want anybody who has a mental condition, an emotional

oppression in your life. I'll call out things, those of

you that are bound in sin, those of you that

need to be revived in your gifts and your tellings

and your callings of God.

Just begin to move forward. As Daniel and the team

and the band begin to worship.

but sometimes we've been so into what we've been in

for so long we don't think it could be us.

Don't be scared of that word my, don't fear that word.

Don't feel like you've been doing so wrong that God

is looking over you and you don't have a right
