  1. If we haven't met yet, my name is Aaron. I'm

  2. ya homie.

  3. I get an opportunity to be a pastor on staff

  4. here and just counted an honor to just serve as

  5. a part of this wonderful church.

  6. This church saved our family's life.

  7. It was Jesus, but it was through Patria alfc back

  8. then that put our family on trajectory.

  9. So we're just so grateful for this church. Hey, what

  10. is family business?

  11. What we're doing every year in November, we're just taking

  12. a month to just talk about vision, talk about legacy,

  13. talk about generosity and how generosity is for the next generation.

  14. Remember how we opened it up and we had the

  15. five minutes of fire by those young preachers that the

  16. paint off the walls.

  17. You guys remember that at the top of the month.

  18. And I want to thank all of you for being

  19. generosity giants because you're going to that Vision Sunday drop down.

  20. Thank you for giving to the many projects that Pastor

  21. Adam talked about. We're going to conclude that today. So

  22. if you're new to this series, I would encourage you

  23. to go back to YouTube and look at all the

  24. details that Pastor Adam listed as relates to our vision

  25. and our projects. Also, you can see our impact report

  26. on twenty twenty four by going to our website.

  27. Because we're a transparent church.

  28. If we're going to talk about family business, we want

  29. to lead by example by being transparent on our stewardship

  30. with our finances.

  31. Amen.

  32. All right, Hey, we're gonna get right into it. So

  33. let's go ahead and stand to our feet. We're gonna

  34. go to Exodus chapter thirteen, Versus three through five, and

  35. we'll just use this as a diving.

  36. Board as a thought. Today.

  37. I want to give you some context because I figured,

  38. since this is family business, I wanted to talk about

  39. God's chosen family, the children of Israel, and they're a

  40. collection of families. We're a collection of families. We're gonna

  41. parallel kind of like what they went through and how

  42. God treated them, because he'll.

  43. Treat us the same way.

  44. For context, they've been in slavery for four hundred in

  45. thirty years. God had declared to them that they're gonna

  46. be free, and he's saying in this part of scripture

  47. right now today is their moment that they're finally gonna

  48. be free.

  49. It'll be on the screens or it'll be in your bible.

  50. Then Moses said to the people, remember this day in

  51. which you came out from Egypt, out of the house

  52. of slavery, and for by a strong hand the Lord

  53. brought you out from this place.

  54. No leaven bread shall be eaten. Today, everybody say today,

  55. in the month of a beb you are going out.

  56. And when everybody say, when the Lord brings you in.

  57. Two the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites,

  58. the Hittites, the Jebusites, which he swore to your fathers

  59. to give you a land.

  60. Flowing with milk.

  61. Say milk and honey, you shall keep this service in

  62. this month. Let's pray God, thank you that your word

  63. is true. Thank you that you opened our hearts earlier

  64. through worship. And I thank you for what you'll deposit

  65. in our hearts. Use your word to encourage us, to

  66. uplift us, to convict us, to empower us.

  67. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen, you may be seated.

  68. I want to emphasize those words that we said out loud,

  69. because I believe they have power.

  70. They'll be back on the screens.

  71. Notice how it was said today you are going out,

  72. and what that p parallels for us today is the

  73. beginning of our faith journey. Do you remember the day

  74. you gave your life to Christ? Do you remember the

  75. day you felt free? You felt forgiven? I remember fifteen

  76. years ago I gave my life to Christ. Today I

  77. went out.

  78. That's what that parallel.

  79. And if you haven't experienced, we pray that today will

  80. be your day that you experience freedom. So what's clear

  81. many times on when we start our faith journey, because

  82. the start line of our faith journey is forgiveness. But

  83. notice how it was not as clear of when there

  84. was going in two So today you're going out, But

  85. it says when you go into. It didn't say in

  86. two years, two weeks, two months.

  87. It just said when.

  88. So what God did is he showed a vision of

  89. promise of what he's gonna give.

  90. I'm gonna give you a lampflon with milk and honey.

  91. But when you face the Amorites, the Jebusites, the Histes,

  92. the appetites to cell you lightes, all the heights, all

  93. the heightes we gotta face before we get the promise.

  94. So I know today I've started. I'm trying to make

  95. progress on my faith journey. I don't I know when

  96. I'll get the promise, so I'm not sure if I'm

  97. making progress. So what ends up happening a lot of

  98. times in my life and may be in your life.

  99. Instead of progressing on the faith journey, we stay.

  100. Stuck in a sin cycle.

  101. And if we look at Exitus fourteen, fifteen, and sixteen,

  102. I've reduced it to one word which will be our

  103. sermon points.

  104. Because this is what the children of Israel.

  105. Went through time after time after time, and many times.

  106. This is what we go through. Let's put it on

  107. the screens here. Exitu is fourteen.

  108. They got help.

  109. Generational bondage. God, do you hear me? Can't you help?

  110. And if you know the story, you know that it

  111. was a miracle that happened. And in that miracle Moses

  112. he was using the rod which represents Jesus, split the

  113. water they walk through and they got their miracle, they

  114. got their help. If you know Exitus fifteen, they were happy.

  115. Whole chapter dedicated to praise and worship. The tambourines, mimorycles

  116. can happen like all that stuff was going on in

  117. Exodus fifteen. But what ended up happening in Exitus sixteen.

  118. They got hungry.

  119. What happened is they didn't change their appetite, so their

  120. help wanted to be on their terms. And there's a

  121. lot of times in my life, maybe in your life,

  122. I'm happy, but then I get hungry, and God, can

  123. you help me?

  124. Right?

  125. And since we're talking about hunger, and since we're talking

  126. about the family business, I wanted to settle a family debate.

  127. We have a little bit of division.

  128. In my family, and I want to settle it here

  129. so I can show my family that we know how

  130. to hear from God. At Patrioton, we can get on

  131. the same page. You guys agree, Okay, let me be honest.

  132. I really don't know how to cook. And when somebody

  133. doesn't know how to cook, serial becomes salvation to you.

  134. It's notn light on your way home. You don't feel

  135. like stopping to get something neat. Oh shoot, I got

  136. that cereal in the pantry. Here's what I'm gonna do.

  137. I'm gonna put four fire cereals on the screen right now.

  138. Now.

  139. Don't say the best one yet, but I'm gonna put

  140. all four. Look a look at look at the faithfulness

  141. of God. Now one of them is the best.

  142. One of them is.

  143. Separated from the rest. All of them are fire, all

  144. of them get the job done. But there's one. And

  145. on the count of three, we're gonna see if we're

  146. in unity. On the count of three, I need you

  147. to yell.

  148. Which cereal is the best? Come on, please don't let

  149. me down. Okay? One? Two?

  150. Three? Hey, Hey there, I mean I was hearing where

  151. we're at. But some of you, I see your sin.

  152. You're yelling out the wrong choice. So what I want

  153. to do is I want to make.

  154. This very easy for us and settle this debate.

  155. The best cereal of all time. This is God cereal.

  156. This is holy. When you eat this, you hear better

  157. from God. It's a kitch your table, you get a ball,

  158. Oh my God. But here's why this is the best cereal?

  159. Was biblical? See y'all laughing?

  160. Y'all read your bibles.

  161. Go to Exodus, chapter sixteen, verse fourteen. When they were hungry,

  162. God would are we gonna eat? Look what God did?

  163. He said, in the face of the wil toness, A

  164. fine flake like thing, fight us frost on the ground.

  165. Won't he do it? Won't he do it? God gave

  166. frosted flakes to the wilderness.

  167. He'll give frosted flakes to you today.

  168. Let's go ahead, and let's go ahead and preach a

  169. little bit. Then let me parallel.

  170. Let me parallel our faith journey, because their journey didn't

  171. start with manna. It started with bondage, right, And this

  172. is how our faith journey starts.

  173. It doesn't start with us receiving the blessings in favor

  174. of God. It starts like this. And this is our hearts.

  175. This is the bull, and this is our hearts. And

  176. for four.

  177. Hundred years, choosen of Israel are in bondi, which means

  178. anything that Pharaoh put in their bowl was good feeding

  179. from the enemy.

  180. How many times in our life have we been in bondage?

  181. We try some, we don't really like it.

  182. But the more that we try it, not only is

  183. it messing with our natural appetite, but our spiritual appetite.

  184. Pharaoh becomes the person who feeds us. And this is

  185. what we read in Exodus thirteen. Today you are going

  186. out because the Father sent Jesus on our behalf to

  187. die on the cross for our sins, and he unlocks

  188. us from our bondage.

  189. And that starts our faith journey. Let me start my

  190. faith journey. So that's how they got help. And then

  191. they got happy.

  192. And as they're happy, that's Exodus fifteen, Praise God. I

  193. am free, and God gave them a seat at the table,

  194. just like you and I. But a lot of times

  195. it's like I'm happy, but I'm hungry because he freed me.

  196. But what we gonna eat?

  197. See a lot of times I start here, we start here,

  198. and it's like I want some food, and I remember

  199. how Pharaoh treated me.

  200. And God has completely freed us.

  201. We hold onto a little bit of bondage ourselves, hold

  202. onto a little bit of familiarity because when I'm here,

  203. I got a vision from God I'd be free. Way

  204. over there is milk. I can't reach the milk. I

  205. don't know if I'm saved yet. So I'm in this

  206. tension of trying to move forward. But what are you

  207. gonna feed me?

  208. Pharaoh? What are you gonna feed me? Moses? Because they're

  209. used to being in bondage in their mindset.

  210. So if we go to Exodus chapter sixteen, verse two,

  211. they went from saying praise and worship. Look at how

  212. they acted when they got hungry extra the sixteen to two,

  213. and the whole congregation of the people of Israel grumbled.

  214. Can you picture them, what are we gonna eat out

  215. of the abundance.

  216. Of the heart.

  217. The mouth speaks, the stomach's growling. Their heart is now

  218. growling and modes in the wilderness. And the people said,

  219. what we have died by the hands of the Lord

  220. in Egypt when we sat by the meat pots and

  221. they bread to the full, For you have brought us

  222. out into this wilderness to kill us with hunger. Notice

  223. how their appetite made them forget about their bondage.

  224. They only remember the meat. So I'm hungry.

  225. So what happens is like I'm happy because like God

  226. has freed me, but like I want to go back

  227. to what's familiar, right right, I'm doing good in school.

  228. I'm not really doing good in my purity.

  229. I'm doing good in my business. I'm not really having

  230. results in my marriage. I'm happy, but I'm hungry. And

  231. what ends up happening is for their grumble, God gave

  232. them grace. And God still said, I will give you

  233. man I, even though you're complaining.

  234. That's the grace of God.

  235. But the tension of us, they've made progress, because what

  236. happens is they start doing the manner right. So they

  237. get the manna and they're like, what is it? Because

  238. in Hebrew manna means what is it?

  239. Right?

  240. No, I'm serious, So like you look it up. But

  241. what happens is now they're trying to eat this. You

  242. remember the movie Friday when ice Cube had all that cereal.

  243. We didn't have no milk. Then he wanted to throw.

  244. It away and the Father's like, you better put some

  245. water on it. And see that's what God does with us.

  246. Will you be content with how I help in this season?

  247. And there's this.

  248. Tension because I have mana, I don't have milk. Since

  249. I have mana, I want to go back to what's familiar.

  250. And that's the tension of the faith journey. So let's

  251. talk about the first point.

  252. Help. Everybody say help.

  253. Let's continue reading to see how God would help them,

  254. because we have to see if we're content with how

  255. God chooses to help. Look at this In Exodus sixteen,

  256. verse four, then the Lord said to Moses, behold, I

  257. am about to make it rain bread from heaven for you.

  258. This is where Lil Wayne got it from. And the

  259. people shall go out and gather a day's portion every day,

  260. that I might test them whether they will.

  261. Walk in my law or not.

  262. On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in,

  263. it will be twice as much as they gathered daily.

  264. Whenever I read the Bible, I look for repetition, because

  265. if there's repetition in the Bible, then God is trying

  266. to get our attention. And I see the word day

  267. four times here. So let's talk about this for a moment.

  268. Many times on our faith journey, we're saved, we've made progress,

  269. and this right here represents God's blessing, and this is

  270. what we pray for, A big family size blessing, pressed down,

  271. shaken to the fool in Jesus' name.

  272. But are we content with how God helps? Because God

  273. didn't give them this. You know what he did. He

  274. started him off with this.

  275. What do you do when you pray for God to

  276. give you a blessing this size and you windo you end.

  277. Up getting what you prayed for. But it's like, bruh,

  278. what is this? How am I gonna get results with this? God?

  279. I thought you were gonna give me the promotion. I

  280. thought the God that flirted when we was gonna be

  281. over six feet like, why is he five to four?

  282. Like?

  283. God, what's going on?

  284. Are you content with how God helps See, here's what happens.

  285. They're in bondage for four hundred years, right, this is

  286. what we pray for many times.

  287. This is what we get.

  288. Right, this is the tension on the faith journey. But

  289. He's setting up a system to change our values.

  290. Because he said, Hey, if you.

  291. Come to me daily, so this is my blessing for

  292. you Monday, here's my blessing for you Tuesday, here's my

  293. blessing for you Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and then on Saturday,

  294. I'm gonna give you that double blessing so you can

  295. rest and I'll still bless you. Now, if you look

  296. at your life on the faith journey, you prayed for.

  297. It on the front end, you stay connected.

  298. With Jesus, you end up getting it anyway, but your

  299. value changed as well.

  300. That's why God is saying come to me daily.

  301. The first perspective is he's teaching the children of Israel

  302. because they're coming out of bondage, gather in community daily.

  303. Here's why.

  304. If you look at Matthew chapter six, verse eleven, It says,

  305. give us this day our daily bread. Many times we pray,

  306. give me my bread. So if we're gathering in community,

  307. can you picture manna coming from heaven because God will

  308. rain down resources for the entire community. And then you

  309. come out with your family, and if you're tempted to

  310. be selfish, you're taking from another family.

  311. See what God is setting up.

  312. So I'm gonna give you enough for today, and I'm

  313. gonna show you that I provide for everyone, not just you.

  314. That's acts chapter two. That's why the church would gather

  315. and everybody's getting with their need and everybody's sharing with

  316. other people. Why because it's all coming from God. It's

  317. not coming from me. And I trust God for tomorrow.

  318. You know.

  319. The second principle in this God is teaching them to

  320. look to their Father instead of Pharaoh. Can you imagine

  321. them in their faith journey, because remember they were holding

  322. onto some type of bondage, right, and then they would

  323. get from God and they're like.

  324. Is this enough?

  325. Like I'm not used to this and they're trying to

  326. But think about their mindset from the past. Because God

  327. will do a miracle. You got to manage your mindset

  328. so you can sustain the miracle. So picture their past

  329. when every day they're getting from Pharaoh, and when they

  330. would look at Pharaoh, Pharaoh has gold, look at Pharaoh's

  331. clean robe, look at Pharaoh's palace.

  332. I'm on the fields man. Pharaoh's wife is beautiful. I

  333. want to be like Pharaoh.

  334. And see what happens is when you go from oppressed

  335. to blessed. It's hard for you to share with the

  336. community because that poverty mindset is like now that I'm

  337. starting to eat, now you're gonna take from me.

  338. So if you think about rappers today, I grew up

  339. in the hood.

  340. This is my story about And as soon as they

  341. make money, gold teeth talking today, money flex in blah

  342. blah blah, and it's like, wait a minute, enough with

  343. the bling bling. The bling bling may be bondage in

  344. their mindset that I want to look like Pharaoh. But

  345. could you imagine if you go to your father every

  346. single day. Man, my father, he doesn't whip me. My

  347. father doesn't give me resources based upon what I do.

  348. He just gives it to me based upon his love

  349. for me. So he's gonna know what I need and

  350. he's given me an appetite that I could be surrendered

  351. to him and he's giving me generosity to share with others.

  352. This is why I love Patreo because if you look

  353. at what we did yesterday, feeding over three thousand families,

  354. what it shows is that we're a multicultural, multi generational church.

  355. Because here's the thing.

  356. There are people in our church that on Thanksgiving, we're

  357. thinking about, man.

  358. How are we gonna afford a turkey? How are we

  359. gonna go?

  360. And we love you, so what ends up happening is

  361. all you got to do is pull up and we'll

  362. serve you.

  363. And there are people that have.

  364. Turkeys in their freezer refrigerate already, so they want to

  365. be the hands and feet of Jesus and.

  366. Put it in your trunk. And there are people that are.

  367. Out of town on business watching things that are happening

  368. at family to family. But while they're out of town

  369. on business, they're donating financial resources to underwrite the whole thing.

  370. That's Patriot coming together.

  371. Now here's when the system doesn't work, because there are

  372. seasons in my life when I didn't have a job

  373. and what happens is.

  374. Man, thank God that people can help.

  375. So I drive through the Generosity Center if somebody's putting

  376. something in my trunk, and.

  377. Then I get a job. So when I get a job,

  378. I need to.

  379. Keep it paying forward by now going to the Generosity

  380. Center and serving others. But there's been so many times

  381. in my life and maybe in your life, where God

  382. has blessed us, and we're listening to sermons and we're

  383. seeing things on Instagram and we're eating our brushings. Can

  384. you put that generosity picture back on the screen. This

  385. is us on Instagram.

  386. That's cool. I'm glad the church is doing that.

  387. And as we're enjoying our blessings, you know how God

  388. be trying to get our attention.

  389. Sometimes there'll be a toy in size of it.

  390. No stain to expand vision Sunday for this reason, I

  391. bowed my head. No, I don't go time for that.

  392. Thank you God for blessing me.

  393. See why would God give you a family size blessing

  394. if you don't contribute to the family.

  395. Many times He starts us off with this to see

  396. if we'll be generous.

  397. Let's not say, oh, I'll start tithing once he blesses me.

  398. No, you won't you get a dollar, you give a dime.

  399. It's just a principle.

  400. So it's not about how much money you have, it's

  401. about the mindset. It all depends on what makes you happy.

  402. Let's go to our next point, which is happy. When

  403. I think about it, happy, I had to think about

  404. the happy mail before that. I want to share a

  405. quote by Billy Graham. Billy Graham says, this God has

  406. given us two hands, once to receive with and the

  407. other to give with.

  408. Use both for him and find happiness.

  409. What that looks like is us receiving from God giving

  410. out to the community.

  411. Receiving from God giving out to the community.

  412. That's what that looks like. We're a vessel for God's glory.

  413. So maybe think about a happy meal. Because I told

  414. myself I'm not eating at McDonald's the more I'm gonna

  415. be healthy.

  416. And then the other day that's our testimony. Sound.

  417. Then the other day Trinity comes home with a happy meal.

  418. You guys, you go to McDonald's. We don't do that.

  419. We're healthy.

  420. And then she was like, hey, Dad, look at the

  421. toy that's in the thing. So then I was like, oh,

  422. look at this baby crook.

  423. I was like, I say, Erica, let's have another baby.

  424. I wanna get the toy, and then I find out,

  425. oh there's white ones and red ones and gold oh

  426. your toys, and we get and how many times do

  427. we compromise our health to be happy?

  428. I just want the toy.

  429. Guess how many happy meals are sold on a daily

  430. basis through McDonald's.

  431. Just get say it all out.

  432. Somebody said two million, up to three point two million

  433. happy meals daily.

  434. They cracked the cold.

  435. It has nothing to do with the food, has everything

  436. to do with the toy. So as we become adults,

  437. we like our toys too. So sometimes, man, if I

  438. could just keep getting these Jordans, I want the shoe collection.

  439. Then I get an additional property. Then I get the RV,

  440. Then I get the motorcycle. Then okay, I get this Colonne,

  441. this perfume, I get this gold chain, and got all

  442. these culture toys. And it is not wrong with getting

  443. culture toys.

  444. That's fine. But if we're.

  445. Using all of our money for culture toys, we don't

  446. have the capacity for kingdom toys. Let me show you

  447. a Kingdom toy. Look at this Kingdom toy right here.

  448. Look at that lucky climber. Look at our pickleball court.

  449. That's happening.

  450. Look at the shade that we're enjoying our Look at

  451. the additional campuses. Just like how we have a desire

  452. to go out and go out to new locations, so

  453. does the gospel. So thank God for our generous church

  454. that sends out orphanages and sends out of campuses to

  455. be able to do that. And you have an opportunity

  456. to partake in that. But it all depends on what

  457. makes you happy. Because if you think about the boy

  458. in John chapter six, Pastor Diego talked about this last week,

  459. he gave up his happy meal so the entire community

  460. could be happy. So there's two perspectives that we can give.

  461. So I want to give two perspectives because this boy,

  462. this is what made him happy. He gave it to Jesus.

  463. Not only was he blessed, but everything around him was blessed.

  464. So the first perspective is I'm happy God helped me.

  465. That's the first perspective. I'm happy God helped me. You know.

  466. The second perspective, I'm happy God use me to help.

  467. That was the boy's perspective.

  468. I'm happy, but God use me to help. Does it

  469. make you happy to help the Kingdom of God go further.

  470. See that's where our faith journey gets tested because God's

  471. providing for me. And Acts chapter twenty says, it's more

  472. blessed to give than to receive. You're blessed to receive.

  473. You're more blessed if you give, and if you're happy.

  474. It's depended upon what you're hungry for. So, as we conclude,

  475. let me find my iPad if we go to hunger.

  476. Matthew chapter five, verse six says, blessed are those who

  477. hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

  478. I want to share a story on a pastor and

  479. a generous leader in the community, on how they collaborated

  480. together to make more kingdom impact.

  481. The generous leader, his name is Cornelius.

  482. The pastor, his name is Peter, is found in Acts

  483. chapter ten. I don't have the whole time to read

  484. through it. I just want to describe their seasons and

  485. what God will do with vision for more kingdom impact

  486. you guys now, So Acts chapter ten, verse one through three.

  487. Let's look at Cornelius. It describes him. He said, Assaia,

  488. there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion of what

  489. was known as the Italian Cohort a devout man. He

  490. feared God with all this household. He gave alms generously

  491. to the people, and he prayed continually to God. In

  492. the ninth hour of the day, he saw clearly in

  493. a vision an angel of God come in and say, Cornelius,

  494. now this is beautiful. Let's keep this up in for

  495. a moment. Look how this describes this man of God.

  496. And look how he got vision. His vision is connected

  497. to prayer and his character. So described his character it

  498. described as prayer life.

  499. Then he got vision. But here's what's not talked about

  500. as much in church. You gotta read it yourself.

  501. I've heard so much God's given me a vision for me,

  502. and this is what He's gonna do for me. That's

  503. not what he did with Cornelius. He is a devout man,

  504. he's generous, he's not called yet. He doesn't have purpose

  505. in his life yet. So his vision is, Hey, go

  506. listen to Pastor Peter. How many times do we hear

  507. God has given me a vision to go help Pastor Diego.

  508. I've heard God has given me a vision for what

  509. he's gonna do for me. But Cornelius is saying, I'm

  510. generous I'm in my faith journey.

  511. I'm giving, and God has given me this vision.

  512. I need to hear from Pastor Peter. Now he's a gentile.

  513. Now if we go over to Peter, he used to

  514. be sinful signmon. Now he's Pastor Peter. He's in a

  515. new season, and in this new season, and he follows

  516. the rules, and he has a strict diet. I don't

  517. eat like them gentiles.

  518. No, this is how we eat. We're Jewish regardly. So

  519. he's at the house and listen to Good Versa nine.

  520. What happens with him The next day, as they were

  521. on the journey approaching the city, two employees that were

  522. coming to get Peter to take them to Cornelius. Cornelius

  523. is a centurion, which means he has one hundred employees.

  524. He's a military man. That's why he had the two

  525. employees go and get them. Peter went up on the

  526. housetop at the six hour to pray, and he became hungry.

  527. Everybody say hungry, and he wanted something to eat. But

  528. while they were preparing it, he fell into a trance.

  529. This is like one of those naps you take on Thanksgiving.

  530. So I'm in a black family. I'm black, my wife's Mexican,

  531. and it's like, baby, why are we doing Thanksgiving?

  532. So lo eight black people we do a little earlier.

  533. And now I got a black son.

  534. We're kind of negotiating how we're gonna talk to our

  535. Hispanic wives.

  536. Just trying to make it a little earlier. Because what

  537. happens is this is I feel Peter's pain.

  538. He's hungry, he smells all this food, and then he

  539. goes to sleep with.

  540. Food in his mind.

  541. It's like when I wake up, I'm gonna eat, but then.

  542. He feels like he's having a nightmare. You gotta read

  543. it acts chapter ten yourself. He sleep and all of

  544. a sudden, barbecue ribs, wait, Lucille biscuits? What the to

  545. my list? A bunda? Gush check it? Afraid of what's shrimp? Oh?

  546. Oh oh God, I repent. I don't even know if

  547. I don't know who Lucille is.

  548. I repent God, and God is like, hey, stop calling calm,

  549. and what I'm calling clean.

  550. And what God is trying.

  551. To do is get rid of his religious palate for

  552. more kingdom impact. Because what's gonna happen is He's gonna

  553. go to Cornelia's house. He don't want him to get

  554. triggered by the ir immaterial things. So he's on his

  555. way to Cornelius and God gives him the breakthrough.

  556. It's okay, Lucials is fine.

  557. After church, so he goes to Cornelius's house. Remember Cornelius,

  558. here's the vision. Hear the vision from Pastor Peter. Pastor

  559. Peter has to get his palate cleans so he can

  560. have the openness to share the gospel for more people.

  561. And when they collaborate, Cornelius ends up being the first

  562. gentile convert. I'm using my holy imagination to think about

  563. Acts chapter one, verse eight, when Peter would hear the

  564. gospel's gonna go to Samaria, Judea and all the world.

  565. And this conversation is part of it because now he

  566. has kingdom resources for.

  567. More kingdom impact. We need more pastor Pauls.

  568. And centurions coming together saying I hear the vision of

  569. the pastor, I see what's going on, and I want

  570. to use my resources to make a difference. And when

  571. he pastors in the community saying I don't care about

  572. your religion, your background, and so forth.

  573. Here is the gospel for you.

  574. God has blessed you to be a means to get

  575. the Gospel to go out further. You read it for

  576. yourself for the sake of time. But it's a beautiful

  577. example on how God will use the vision of the

  578. leader and the collaboration of the generosity.

  579. In the community for more kingdom impact.

  580. Pastor Adam has said it this way, it's the pastor

  581. that shares the vision. It's the community that gives the

  582. pace of the vision. You've heard what's on our minds

  583. for family business this month, and we know that you

  584. have been praying. The question is what are you gonna

  585. do with the resources that God has given you? Are

  586. they for you? Are they for the family? We have

  587. a new family member in our household. His name is Simba.

  588. He's a dog and this morning I'm trying to hear

  589. from God and I wake up, he throws up, he poops.

  590. I's like, hey, if you're gonna have to take.

  591. Care of this.

  592. But I don't even know why I said that, but

  593. it was just on my mind. I was mad, No,

  594. because we take care of this dog right.

  595. Oh for Simba for Simbah, Simba toys symbol of this

  596. symbol of PlayStation five symbol everything right, So we get

  597. so we go to this organic store for Simba. So

  598. Eric is like, he needs the best, right, Why am

  599. I getting leftovers? Right? So, so Simba's eating this duck

  600. bone or whatever, and I start walking over the simbus.

  601. And was like, like, what's going on? I get closer

  602. to remember I pet you. Remember I bought that bone. Remember.

  603. So then my wife said, don't scare him. I'm listening

  604. to podcasts and we're gonna work this out. Like, I'm

  605. a father, I'm not gonna have my daughter scared of

  606. a dog. So I looked online. This is called resource

  607. guarding where dogs, yeah, they like you taking care of them,

  608. but when they're eating, they guard their resources and they

  609. forget who gave it to them. So so Erica Erica

  610. goes away to the women's cruise.

  611. Now me and Simba having some quality time.

  612. Hey, all I did is said the picture and the

  613. text message to my wife.

  614. Simba's healed. He don't resource guard no more.

  615. He has to be reminded that the father put that there.

  616. Why are you trying to guard something that the father

  617. gave you. But as I'm trying to train Simba, God's

  618. getting at me.

  619. Aaron, Why are you trying to guard so closely? Would

  620. I put in your hands? How many times have you

  621. done that? Church? How many times have I done that?

  622. Thank you God for the blessing.

  623. And as soon as we get the blessing, Hey, God,

  624. could you bless them?

  625. Could you? Could you help them? In Jesus' nay what

  626. God is saying. He wants to give you a family

  627. size blessing, but he wants you to contribute to the family.

  628. And as you contribute to the family, I want to

  629. pray Psalm thirty seven to four.

  630. Over your life, delight yourself and the Lord. He'll give

  631. you the desires of your heart.

  632. And delighting ourself in the Lord means God, I want to.

  633. Bless what you're already blessing.

  634. And as I get on God's team and I bless

  635. what He's already blessing, you know what God's gonna do.

  636. He's reading what I'm writing in my journal. He's reading

  637. the desires in my heart, and he's.

  638. Seeing since you're on teen Jesus, and since I can

  639. trust you with resources, you don't guard your resources.

  640. I'm gonna put more in your.

  641. Hands, because when they're in your hands, the Kingdom of

  642. God is blessed.

  643. Why would God just put something in our hands and

  644. just for us to be blessed? Father God, I feel

  645. like that's a.

  646. Appropriate time to just pray right there and just let

  647. that settle in our souls. Forgive us for resource guarding.

  648. Forgive us for asking for you to put stuff in.

  649. Our hands and having such a tight grip on it.

  650. When you ask for us to be a blessing to others,

  651. will you teach us.

  652. How to be more.

  653. Like you. We don't want to look like Pharaoh. The

  654. only way that Pharaoh was blessed is because he had

  655. a system of slavery. And we don't want to withhold

  656. from others. So thank you that this word has challenged us,

  657. but it's also freed us.

  658. So God, let that settle for a moment.

  659. How are you challenging each and every one of us

  660. as we conclude this family Business service series?

  661. How are we contributing to the family business? And I

  662. thank you for the generosity giants.

  663. In our community right now that you are speaking to

  664. them like you spoke to the Sincere and like you

  665. spoke to Pastor Peter, you're giving us amounts. Thank you

  666. for the sacrifice of giving, and thank you for us

  667. being obedient and what you're prompting us to do.

  668. In Jesus name, we pray Amen. Amen.

  669. Hey, before we conclude, what's more important in family business

  670. is inviting you to the family and this is not

  671. just marketing to try to fundraise. We care about your

  672. soul more than we care about you serving. My question

  673. to you is where are you in the faith journey?

  674. For some of you, you may still be right here,

  675. and that's okay because just like what the Father did

  676. for the Israelites.

  677. He wants to do for you.

  678. The israel did nothing to contribute to them being free,

  679. but they had to walk forward and what God already provided.

  680. God the Father sent his son Jesus to live the

  681. perfect life.

  682. We couldn't live and die the death we deserve.

  683. And what he's asking us to do, like the children

  684. of Israel, remove your bondage. I've set you free, walk forward.

  685. What was beautiful about the children of Israel When they

  686. walked forward?

  687. They turned around and all they saw was water.

  688. Because all the tracks of their past are now dead.

  689. So for those of you that are plagued by your past,

  690. just look at Exodus chapter.

  691. Fourteen, all the enemies that were chasing them dead, all

  692. their tracks gone. God wants you to be free today.

  693. But as you progress on your faith journey, there is warfare.

  694. He did warn them, the Hvites, the Jedbisides, the Amurites.

  695. There were so many people on their faith journey they

  696. encountered that were worshiping false gods. And we enjoy the

  697. forgiveness of a savior, and sometimes we don't trust him

  698. as lord because money is still our lord. Relationships may

  699. still be our lord, our job may still be our lord.

  700. And this is a moment that we progress in our

  701. faith journey by saying, I leave all that aside. I

  702. trust you to be my lord. I trust you with

  703. my decisions. So I would love to pray for you

  704. right now.

  705. I would ask for us all to bow our heads

  706. and close our eyes. I'm not asking if you have

  707. a relationship with church. I'm asking if you have a.

  708. Relationship with Jesus. There are two different things.

  709. Judas had a relationship with church operations. Judas would have

  710. been wearing Dream Team Polo. So I'm not asking about

  711. your service, I'm asking about your soul. I'm gonna invite

  712. everyone to repeat this prayer after me to encourage those

  713. that are praying this prayer for the first time. You're

  714. gonna give your life to Jesus for the first time.

  715. And I believe there's a second group in here. You've

  716. already given your life to Jesus as your savior. You're

  717. gonna trust him as lord. You're gonna include him in

  718. your decisions, You're gonna rededicate your life to him. And

  719. there's a final group in here I want to pray for.

  720. You're gonna trust him with your finances.

  721. For some of you. That means you're gonna be a tither.

  722. For some of you, that means you're gonna give twenty

  723. dollars a week.

  724. For some of you, that means you're gonna give fifty

  725. thousand dollars.

  726. I don't know.

  727. I just know that God frees you.

  728. Repeat after me.

  729. Please say, dear Lord Jesus, I believe that you died

  730. on the cross for all of my sin. Thank you

  731. for forgiving me. From this moment forward, you are my

  732. savior and my Lord. Teach me to trust you with

  733. my life, with my responsibilities, and my finances.

  734. In Jesus name, we pray
