  1. Right. Well, amen, it's so good to see everybody here today.

  2. Can we really quickly right now today joining all of

  3. our services are all of our campuses, So can we

  4. show love to Promota Campus, Alameda Campus, all those online,

  5. welcome all those that are joining us for service today.

  6. As all of you know, we have been in a

  7. campaign called Beyond, as we have seen God do some

  8. incredible things in our church. And so if you have

  9. your journals, would you pull them out and would you

  10. jump in to week what.

  11. Are we in week four?

  12. In week four, go ahead and turn your page in

  13. your journals to week four. If you're haven't been for

  14. a couple of weeks, that's okay. At our campuses, everyone's

  15. doing it a little different. So if you don't have

  16. a journal, then I think at our Promoter Campus, Alameda Campus,

  17. you could just raise your hands someone from the Dream Team.

  18. We'll be able to get it to you. If you're

  19. here in Rancho outside in our floyer, at our welcome desk,

  20. in our Dream Team desk, our team will have them

  21. for you when you leave service today.

  22. And we've been in a.

  23. Six week series talking about all the things God is

  24. doing in our church, and as our church has been

  25. absolutely growing and God has been moving in incredible ways.

  26. And so I want to remind all of you.

  27. And if you're newer to Patria, you're just visiting or

  28. you're just checking out. In a few moments we'll start

  29. the message. But I want to remind everyone who considers

  30. Patria home. What we've been doing as a church is

  31. we've been believing God that over the next three years,

  32. our church has a vision of twenty million dollars as

  33. a church, and we believe that God is doing incredible

  34. things in our church.

  35. And it's not just for one person to do.

  36. Someone recently asked me, Pastor Adam, what would happen if

  37. one person came and gave twenty million dollars.

  38. My response was, then it would become.

  39. A forty million dollar campaign, because I believe it's a

  40. challenge to the.

  41. Church body, not to one individual.

  42. That we want everyone to be able to bend fit

  43. what it looks like to do their part.

  44. In God's kingdom.

  45. And so I'll tell you this, I have one hundred

  46. myself and our entire team, we have one hundred million

  47. dollar vision to reach people for Jesus. We just it

  48. was scary, y'all. If you heard it all. And so

  49. we're sharing twenty which after our courtyard, which next weekend

  50. is going to be finished, you could take one point

  51. seven million off of our twenty million dollar vision. And

  52. so it's already starting to lessen and you can see

  53. up on the screen all the great things that are

  54. happening in our campus. Pomona needs more parking, they're out.

  55. Rancho needs more parking, and so we're putting new parking

  56. in Pomona, new parking in Rancho, new kids facilities in

  57. Rancho with an entire new big kids classroom, entire new

  58. back play area for our kids. Additionally, we want to

  59. believe God for our Corona campus a physical site, our

  60. Alameda campus a purchase site because right now we lease there,

  61. and so we're believing God that we're making an impact

  62. in the city. I met someone I got to speak

  63. this past Wednesday at our Alameda campus. I met someone

  64. who was their first time. They found us on Facebook.

  65. They said they had been struggling with addiction for many years,

  66. but has just recently over the past couple years become sober,

  67. and by the end of the service, they raised their

  68. hand and gave their life to Jesus Christ. He even

  69. challenged me before service, he said, you know, I'm looking

  70. for a church.

  71. Maybe it'll be your guys, as maybe it won't.

  72. Sure enough, By the end of the sermon, when he

  73. gave his life to Jesus, he went to me, he said, I'll.

  74. See you next week.

  75. And so that's the kind of impact that we're talking

  76. about that we do as a church.

  77. We don't build buildings.

  78. We build people. Buildings are places where we build, though

  79. it's hopten times where we build people. We pray for marriages,

  80. We believe God for miracle, signs and wonders, and God

  81. does those things. And so one last thing. We have

  82. two dates next week. It's already coming up. Next weekend

  83. is our commitment weekend, and so we want to encourage

  84. every person to come. And what we're doing as a

  85. church is in your journal. I don't have one up here,

  86. but if I had one, i'd show you your commitment card.

  87. I know.

  88. Look, Darius would throw throw it at me. Darius, just

  89. throw it. You don't have a commitment card because is

  90. it already pre filled out? No, look at this fifty.

  91. Million dollars, My goodness, look at that.

  92. You're gonna sell a movie, Darius, You're gonna he's an actor.

  93. So we have our commitment card Sunday. What's our pledge Sunday.

  94. So all this says, it says, Hey, if you heard

  95. last week we're talking about hearing the voice of God,

  96. it's hey, me and my family or I myself. I've

  97. sat down and I've talked to God and I've said, God,

  98. if you would want us to be a part of this,

  99. what would you want us to do. We're not asking

  100. you that you listened to Pastor Adam. I'm asking that

  101. you just listen to God. And so if God would

  102. stretch you and encourage you to do something, then next

  103. weekend we're saying, hey, we're gonna bring it all to service,

  104. and we're gonna turn these in together. We're gonna celebrate

  105. that over the next three years. It's a pledge for

  106. the next three years to say, hey, this is what

  107. I believe me and my family can do above our

  108. ties and offering. But only nineteen percent of our church gives,

  109. and so eighty percent of the church that gathers every

  110. Sunday doesn't give a dollar every single week, and so

  111. it takes finances to do the work of ministry. And

  112. so my just ask is, if you're part of that

  113. eighty percent, would you, just like Malachi says, would you

  114. test God over the next thirty six months. You may

  115. not be at a place of tithing yet in your life,

  116. but would you engage with this pledge card and see

  117. what God would have you do. Some people may say

  118. I'm on a fixed income, I can't give on miracles Sunday.

  119. That doesn't mean you can't fill out the pledge card.

  120. Maybe you can't start giving till November. Maybe you can't

  121. start giving to after tax season. Everybody's different finances are different,

  122. budget is different. All we're saying is this is what

  123. the church can believe God for, is what He's going

  124. to do over the next three years, so that we

  125. can start putting the miracles in motion of what God's

  126. gonna do. And I'll tell you this, as the money

  127. comes in, the money will go out and will immediately

  128. start going to all the projects that we're working on.

  129. And so lastly, we're asking that everyone come on the

  130. eighth and ninth. And I know some people travel and

  131. all that, so you can already start putting it in

  132. if you're gone, But we really want to do it together.

  133. If you can come to the services on the eighth

  134. and ninth, we're saying, hey, would you bring one miracle

  135. offering that will immediately go towards getting projects done, and

  136. we'll immediately start telling you what those projects are as

  137. it comes in. We don't want to say the project

  138. ahead of time because too much or too less may

  139. come in. It just depends on what comes in on

  140. the miracle offering and then will begin. I'll tell you

  141. this though, the projects will start right away. And so

  142. we're believing God on the eighth and ninth, and you'll

  143. have the next three weekends at that point to come

  144. and bring if God would put something on your miracle offering,

  145. and if you absolutely cannot in this season, that's okay.

  146. We're still believing God over your finances that by the

  147. end of the year you will see an increase and

  148. you'll say, God, I wasn't expecting this. I want to

  149. partner with what my church is doing. And so whether

  150. right now is a good time or not. What we're

  151. doing though as a church is we're putting vision because

  152. God is moving, and so be praying for what God

  153. is doing. I already saw property this past Friday in Corona,

  154. and so we're actively looking for campuses to be able

  155. to plant. We're probably you know, we're just believing God.

  156. We're going to be making like fifty percent offers on

  157. stuff and just hope that people are desperate enough to

  158. sell and we'll start doing ministry. And so we're very

  159. excited about what God is doing in all of the

  160. cities to make an impact. Well, let's continue to let

  161. God speak to us about not only what he's doing

  162. in beyond, because Ephesians three twenty says that God does

  163. do exceedingly abundant beyond, more than anything we ask or think,

  164. and that's what we're believing God for in this season.

  165. But I believe also God is speaking to you. What

  166. God does in his church, he does in people's homes.

  167. And so if you see God moving in the church,

  168. God is going to move in your home and in

  169. your life. And so that's what we believe God is

  170. doing in this season. And so I want you to

  171. see this verse for just a moment, or actually, if

  172. you have a Bible, would you turn to John chapter

  173. six and hold your finger there, because first we're going

  174. to hear about an incredible family about how God has

  175. been moving in their life at our Pomona campus. So

  176. let's check it out.

  177. My name is Muriel Lark and I've been a member

  178. of Patriot Church since two thousand and nine.

  179. My name is Melanie Celestine. I've been attending Patriot since

  180. two thousand and three.

  181. In two thousand and twenty two, I went in to

  182. an orthopedic surgeon to have my knee replaced, and he

  183. gave me a list of examinations that I needed to

  184. have in order to do that.

  185. One of them was a colonoscopy.

  186. That's when I had that colonoscopy that showed a mass

  187. in my colon, and the mass of my colon turned

  188. out to be malignant, so I was scheduled to have

  189. surgery on May thirty first. My pre off was scheduled

  190. for May twenty nine.

  191. And two weeks to the day before her surgery, I

  192. was walking our dogs in a park I've walked in

  193. my entire life, and I tripped and fell and I

  194. thought I had just sprained my ankle, you know. I

  195. hopped up, I hobbled home, and I babed it for

  196. a couple of days, and after about eight days I

  197. realized it wasn't getting any better, and then I should

  198. probably go to the doctor. And so Monday of the

  199. week of my mom's surgery, I make it to the

  200. surgeon and he says it's broken. It's not a sprain,

  201. it's broken in two places. And because I had walked

  202. on it for ten days, I now needed surgery. And

  203. so my surgery was scheduled for two days before my mom's,

  204. and so she was scheduled for surgery on Friday and

  205. I was scheduled for surgery on Wednesday. I began to

  206. sob in the middle of the doctor's office and I

  207. just thought, you know, this is my mom. I'm her

  208. only child, I'm her person. If I can't take care

  209. of her, then.

  210. Who would.

  211. I have this history with Buona, and Buna calls me

  212. like two or three times a week, kind of like

  213. his spiritual mother.

  214. And so when Buona.

  215. Called, it was getting close to time for surgery, and

  216. I finally broke down and told him. And the first

  217. thing he asked me was, is it okay if I

  218. tell the pastors because we pray and when we have

  219. our group prayer as church employees, that he would like

  220. to share that, and he did well. Then I heard

  221. from Pastor Dolores, I heard from Pastor Steve.

  222. I even heard from Pastor Aaron.

  223. The day after my surgery, which was that Saturday, Pastor

  224. Steve and Pastor Dolores came to the hospital, and later

  225. on that day Buona came to the hospital.

  226. He just began to send people who showed up for

  227. us and.

  228. Prayed with us.

  229. And when I would be sobbing at the altar, Custard

  230. would be there. It's just hug me and pray with

  231. me and weep with me and tell me it was

  232. going to be okay.

  233. I was okay with all of that until after surgery,

  234. almost a month after surgery, when I went to meet

  235. with an oncologist and he kept telling me, we got

  236. it all your cancer free. We got it all your

  237. cancer free. You said that to me like four times.

  238. And everything else he said was when when When? After

  239. he said we're going to give you chemo and radiation.

  240. It just it wrecked me, it really did. I was

  241. a total miss. And then the Lord said to me,

  242. you are cancer free. The doctor told you that four times,

  243. You're cancer free. And it was like, if I'm cancer free,

  244. what are they gonna treat I'm not going to do it,

  245. but if you don't, and what if it comes back, Well,

  246. if you don't do this, what if you know? The

  247. what if started piling in a battlefield going on in

  248. my head, the battlefiel of the mind. I said to myself, Well,

  249. if you believe in God and you truly trust him

  250. as you always have, He's not going to let you down.

  251. And it just I haven't thought about it one time since.

  252. In November, I had a CT scan and I'm still

  253. cancer free.

  254. We walked into the gym here at Promona and Mom

  255. walked in and saw Pastor Steven, Pastor Dolores, and she said,

  256. I'm cancer free.

  257. She lost it, just like that. She lost it again.

  258. To share that moment. The same day we found out

  259. she was cancer free with our patriot family who had

  260. wept with us, and now they got to rejoice with us,

  261. just like the word says. I should also mention that

  262. not only was Mom cancer free, I was walking after

  263. nine weeks and bearing full weight on my ankle after

  264. nine weeks when the doctor said it would take sixteen.

  265. So God was God was doing all kinds of things

  266. and just showing up.

  267. God has shown me that he is. He is definitely there.

  268. He is trustworthy, trusting little and that's my favorite prayer,

  269. is trusting the Lord with all your heart, mean, not

  270. on your own understanding and all your ways, submit to

  271. Him and he will make your path straight.

  272. And he did.

  273. He did, and it's not the first time, but that

  274. was the biggest time that He has shown me who

  275. he was for me. God has gone above and beyond,

  276. and we are so grateful.

  277. Praise God. You know, as God works in our lives.

  278. One of the things we wanted to stand out was

  279. the beauty of God's Church. And you saw many times

  280. how they both mentioned how they're church was there for them.

  281. Not necessarily church leaders.

  282. There were some church leaders in there, but there was

  283. also people that were in the church as well, praying

  284. for them, believing God for them, encouraging them, visiting them.

  285. There's a lot of people who go through those things

  286. absolutely alone in life. God has called the church to

  287. be there for one another. That's the miracle. She has

  288. been healed, and that's a miracle. But a lot of

  289. us we look for the attractive miracles. Jesus walking on water,

  290. Jesus multiplying fishes and loaves. Oversee you want to know

  291. what else is a miracle? Someone just saying, hey, let's

  292. pray before your surgery. We'll know if someone else's a miracle.

  293. We're going come visit you post off of your surgery.

  294. Want to know what else is a miracle? Someone checking

  295. in thirty days later that you met at church. That's saying,

  296. how are things going on in your marriage? Not everybody

  297. so blessed to have that. Not everybody even say, man,

  298. I don't have that yet. In church, I encourage you

  299. to get plugged in. If you haven't gone through growth

  300. track yet, if you're not in a neighborhood group, if

  301. you're not coming to service and actually mosing around our service,

  302. you won't meet people. When the altar call is going,

  303. you slip out, grab your kids, go to the car,

  304. and then say, oh, it's so hard to meet people.

  305. It's pretty easy to meet people. It's just your car's

  306. already on before the message even ends. That's a lot different.

  307. So that's the beauty the miracle of God's Church. It's

  308. what God's called all of us to do, is to

  309. be there for somebody. And hopefully today's word will begin

  310. to stretch that and challenge this the side of that

  311. and also make it very practical for us. And so

  312. we're gonna be in John chapter six. So if you

  313. have your Bible, would you turn to it. It's a

  314. miracle of Jesus that many of us know if you

  315. grew up in Sunday School, but also if you're new

  316. to church. It's a powerful story and historical count. It's

  317. the only miracle in all of the Gospels in the

  318. New Testament. The Gospels are four books of the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke,

  319. and John. The miracle we're gonna speak about is only

  320. has been recorded in all four books. No other miracle

  321. is in all four books. Believe that this miracle is

  322. in all four books because there's a lot God wants

  323. to say to us in this miracle. And so today

  324. I won't be able to say all of it, but

  325. I will be able to say some of it. That's

  326. gonna stretch us, challenge us, and also encourage us. So

  327. if you're ready, would you stand for the honor of

  328. reading God's word today? As we lead into John chapter six,

  329. verses one to thirteen, we're gonna do a little bit

  330. of reading. But it's a story, so those are always

  331. easier to read in the Bible, because you'll easily follow

  332. along with it as well. Here's what it says. Says

  333. after this, Jesus went away to the other side of

  334. the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberius,

  335. and a large crowd was following him because they saw

  336. the signs that he was doing on the sick. Jesus

  337. went up to the mountain, and there he sat down

  338. with his disciples. Now the passover, the feast of the Jews,

  339. was at hand. Lifting up his eyes then, and seeing

  340. that a large crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said

  341. to Philip, this is one of Jesus's disciples, one of

  342. his twelve. He says the fifth, Philip, where are we

  343. to buy bread so that these people may eat? They've

  344. been following Jesus all day, and it's Passover season, and

  345. so therefore they're supposed to be at home. They're supposed

  346. to be taking care of themselves. But they're so consumed

  347. with wanting to hear Jesus that they forgot to go home.

  348. And Jesus recognizes their hunger.

  349. And so he says. Philip answered him, two hundred dinari

  350. worth of bread would not be enough. For each to

  351. get a little. In other words, he says, what we

  352. have is not enough for everybody's hunger. And one of

  353. his disciples, Andrew Simon, Peter's brother, said to him, now

  354. there's another disciple. There's a boy here who has five

  355. barley loaves and two fishes, But what are they for

  356. so many?

  357. In other words, one.

  358. Disciple says, we we got a little bit of money,

  359. but I don't think we have enough to buy. Then

  360. another disciple says, we have a little bit of food,

  361. but there's not enough to go around. And it says

  362. in Jesus said, have the people sit down. Have the

  363. people sit down. Now there was much grass in the place,

  364. so the men sat down, about five thousand in numbers.

  365. So normally in Jewish storytelling they just named the men

  366. because some people may have three children, five children. Some

  367. of y'all got ten children, and so they don't count

  368. the children in that way. But if you take the

  369. men plus the wives plus the children, you're looking at

  370. about twenty thousand people.

  371. Says five thousand men. But that's who they count.

  372. They just count men with there's assumption that's wives, children

  373. and everything.

  374. About twenty thousand people.

  375. It says Jesus then took the loaves, and when he

  376. had given thanks, he distributed to them to the just

  377. distributed them to those who were seated. So also the

  378. fish as much as they wanted, as much as they wanted,

  379. And when they had eaten their phil he told his

  380. disciples gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.

  381. Go get the leftovers.

  382. And so they gathered them up and filled the twelve

  383. baskets with fragments from the five barley loves left by

  384. those who had been eaten.

  385. You may be seated.

  386. Hey, ma'am, let's talk about it a little bit today.

  387. An incredible miracle that involves Jesus's disciples involves a crowd

  388. of hungry people that want to hear Jesus, and then

  389. also Jesus, who's completely aware of what's going on. There's

  390. something I believe Jesus is doing because you basically have

  391. three people in this story. Is you have Jesus, you

  392. have his disciples, and then you have those that were

  393. following him in attendance who wanted to hear from Jesus,

  394. those that were hungry. And so therefore you have kind

  395. of three groups of people and so I just want

  396. to do this, and honestly, seriously, amongst all campuses, there's

  397. no bad answer. I'm not gonna trick anyone, Okay. So

  398. by the root of the question, I'm gonna ask, you're

  399. gonna think that I'm gonna pull some type of.

  400. Trick on you or something like that.

  401. I'm not. It's gonna encourage both sides, okay. And so

  402. I just want to see, by a show of hands,

  403. if you for a second did a quick evaluation in

  404. your rolodex of all of your closest friends, kind of

  405. all of those people that you kind of talk to

  406. the most, or you meet up with the most, or

  407. you spend the most time. Just by a show of hands,

  408. if the majority of the people that you hang out

  409. with are Christians, Jesus following Bible believing Christians, raise your hand,

  410. Gjeordy the friends okay, okay, not even fifty percent of

  411. the room. Okay, I'd probably say thirty percent of the room. Okay,

  412. this great. Honestly, I'm not here to trick anybody. Okay,

  413. where's he going? By a show of hands, who would

  414. say majority of those people? Like I said, all the

  415. other caveats you hang around, talk to the most, involve

  416. the most, you know, go around the moment, all that

  417. kind of stuff, are not Christians or would not identify

  418. themselves as Christians.

  419. Raise your hand.

  420. Okay, so I've seen another about third of the church

  421. raise their hand. I don't know about the rest of

  422. the thirty percent who has no friends, you know, I

  423. guess what it might be a good question nowadays, but no,

  424. I've seen it. So what it seems that peers like

  425. is about fifty to fifty at least for mine. I

  426. don't know what it's like at the campuses there, but

  427. from what I can see at our campus here right now,

  428. there's about fifty percent fifty percent say majority my friends

  429. are Christians. Fifty percent majority would say my friends aren't Christians.

  430. And so I want you to see I have this

  431. if you give me the picture that I could draw on.

  432. And so I have the other one, the clip art

  433. one for me hobby, the one we worked on right

  434. before service, should be coming up any second. If not,

  435. I can still draw it by hand. It might have

  436. been forgotten to upload. And we you know, we believe

  437. for a miracle in three two one, amen, Okay, we'll

  438. do it by hand all right, am I not?

  439. Oh I can't. I can't even I don't think I

  440. could type on it.

  441. Okay, there we go. We did it. At least we

  442. have that.

  443. Going for us. All right.

  444. I want you to see that. There we are, look

  445. you asking you receive. There we go. Look at that

  446. all right, So I want you to see this for

  447. just a moment. Okay. So here we have we have

  448. a situation. We have Jesus, okay, and Jesus recognizes Jesus

  449. is trying to get a break. He was done teaching,

  450. and it said that people were following him because not

  451. only where they were following him expecting him to fill

  452. their hunger. They were following him because they wanted to

  453. learn from Jesus when he is teachings. They wanted to

  454. see these miracles. Sick people were coming, Dead people were coming,

  455. Possessed people were coming.

  456. Jesus was teaching and doing.

  457. Miracles, and they follow him and they're starving. They've been

  458. with him all morning and it's starting to become evening,

  459. and so therefore everybody's hungry. And so what happens is

  460. you have Jesus and you have his twelve disciples. I

  461. have them like this because if you're like me, you

  462. grew up in Sunday School and they have the little

  463. felt boards and you tack on the little thing.

  464. This is my little felt board right here.

  465. Okay, hey, so anyone who is a Jesus follower, guess what.

  466. You're a disciple, your disciple. If you follow Jesus, you

  467. serve Jesus. You've committed your life to Jesus. You are

  468. in his twelve. Remember my Space top eight back in

  469. the day. You're in his top eight. You're his top twelve. Okay,

  470. you're a disciple, all right. And then what happens is

  471. you have all of these people right here that are hungry.

  472. Some are unaware that they're hungry. Some are unaware of

  473. what they need. Some are unaware or they're not even

  474. expecting Jesus to physically feed them. They were there to

  475. learn from him and see a miracle. But Jesus, in

  476. all of his love, he sees a physical need in

  477. their life. I've heard a mentor say that when you're communicating,

  478. there's two things you can't compete with as a communicator,

  479. hunger and bowel movements. If somebody has to use the restroom,

  480. they're no longer paying attention to you. And if someone's hungry,

  481. they're no longer paying attention to you, which is why

  482. some people are asleep in service. You know, they're hungry.

  483. It's just a hunger, you know. And so what happens

  484. is Jesus recognizes there's a hunger, and so does Jesus

  485. go and feed all of these people. No, he brings

  486. it down to his disciples. He asks them. He brings

  487. Philip and say, Philip, they're hungry. What should we do, Philip?

  488. Problem number one? We don't have enough money to feed everybody. Jesus.

  489. Then he brings Then he brings another.

  490. Disciple, Hey, what should we do? And he says, his

  491. kid's got a lunch? But it's not even if we

  492. broke it peace by piece, it wouldn't be enough to

  493. feed twenty thousand people.

  494. And so then Jesus what he does is he says.

  495. Give me that fish loves Because whatever is given to Jesus,

  496. if he blesses it, it can be multiplied. And so

  497. what Jesus does is when he blesses it, he multiplies it.

  498. And then who does he give it to. He gives

  499. it to the disciples, you know, Jesus because He's done

  500. so many incredible things in the scripture, and the Bible

  501. says in the Book of John that Jesus did all

  502. the miracle, signs and wonders and teaching Jesus did. If

  503. it were all written in his three year ministry, there's

  504. not enough books on this earth that could contain what

  505. he did. So that means what's recorded is really important

  506. for what God wants us to hear. And so what

  507. Jesus decides to do is then he gives it disciples.

  508. But do you know a miracle he could have done

  509. is he could have snapped his finger and just made

  510. everyone full right.

  511. Like he'sier.

  512. I mean, I would love when my boys are hungry

  513. ten times a day. I would love to be able

  514. to snap my feet and say, boom, I've.

  515. Cured your hunger, you know, like Jesus.

  516. Could have done that. Why does he do.

  517. It this way?

  518. Well, I think there are some reasons why Jesus wants

  519. to do and we're going to revisit this and because

  520. essentially what I believe Jesus wants to do is Jesus

  521. wants to activate those who say they follow Jesus to

  522. take provision that has been miraculously created and to fill

  523. hungry hearts God's provision so that they can experience God's

  524. goodness and hopefully choose to join Jesus. Jesus isn't just

  525. feeling people's natural hunger, but he is leading their natural

  526. hunger to a place that they could know him, love him,

  527. and serve him. And so, guess what if you are

  528. in this circle and most of your friends are these people,

  529. then you've got an opportunity to activate each other to

  530. go out and serve people. And guess what if you

  531. are by yourself here and this is you and these

  532. are all your friends, then you have an opportunity in

  533. the same way to introduce them, to expand your circle

  534. and give them a place where they can know Jesus.

  535. Either way, God has called us to expand our circle.

  536. As the Church and followers of Jesus, we are not

  537. a country club, not a member's only club. We are

  538. a place that welcomes people who are hungry to show

  539. them that Jesus can do miracles. Jesus can do a miracle.

  540. Here's what I want you to see. If you grew

  541. up in school and you went through elementary school, do

  542. you remember elementary Junior.

  543. Hig High School, they taught us that when.

  544. You write a good story, you have to be able

  545. to answer these few things. You have to answer the who, what, when, where, why,

  546. and sometimes how five things. And so the teacher they'll

  547. read your story and they'll say your what, who, who's

  548. your why? Who's your and they'll go through that and

  549. your story will then be graded based off of do

  550. these things get answered. I believe there's a moment if

  551. we use that same application today, I believe we'll see

  552. what Jesus is trying to get across to us through

  553. this story. So the first thing we'd have to approach

  554. in this story to say, because it is a beautiful story,

  555. but it's also historical count we're gonna do a God

  556. Usually the who, what, when, we're why would be a

  557. guide to storytelling today is a guide to God's invitation.

  558. And we're gonna look at these very briefly, these five

  559. things that I believe in this story God is trying

  560. to show us and what he wants us to do.

  561. Who are disciples? Everyone here who follows Jesus. We're all

  562. part of Jesus's top eight, you're in his top twelve.

  563. So when I go out in the world.

  564. If I want to see what gi Jesus as lends

  565. advantage point, then I have to be able to see

  566. that people are hungry. And I would say, Jesus, use

  567. me as one of your followers. Use me like Isaiah.

  568. God says, whom shall we send? And Isaiah says, I mean,

  569. I'll go. I'm not the smartest, I'm not the brightest,

  570. I'm not the best looking, I'm not the most talented.

  571. I don't have a lot of degrees around back in

  572. my name. But Isaiah goes, I'll do it. If you

  573. just need someone that's useful, I'm useful. And so what

  574. happens is we discover the first thing, what's the who

  575. in this story?

  576. Well?

  577. Who? The first thing we see is number one. The

  578. who is God. God is the central figure in this story.

  579. Jesus is the central figure in the story. All eyes

  580. are pointing to Jesus as provider.

  581. So what this story is.

  582. Meant to do is to fixate our eyes fully on

  583. the one who blesses the meal. So what we see

  584. is Philippians chapter four, verse nineteen says, and my God

  585. will supply every need of yours according to his riches

  586. and his glory in.

  587. Christ, Jesus, and so the who in this moment.

  588. Is our eyes are meant to be caused to be

  589. fixated on Jesus, to recognize that Jesus has a desire

  590. to provide your needs.

  591. It to a desire to provide your needs.

  592. Easily. They could have sent men, Just send them back.

  593. Whatever happens happens on the way home. Jesus, just stop teaching.

  594. You're so long winded.

  595. If you wouldn't, if you just wantn't be so nice

  596. and keep talking for these people. Just when you stop,

  597. they'll get bored and they'll leave. And a lot of

  598. us we think more off of convenience, but that doesn't

  599. stop Jesus. Aw Tozer says it like this. To receive

  600. God's provision, we must depend on him absolutely. God is

  601. looking for people through whom he can do the impossible.

  602. What a pity. We plan only the things we can

  603. do by ourselves, and that's what happens. Jesus says he

  604. asked his disciples to test them because he knew what

  605. to do, but he wanted to show that when you

  606. become a disciple of Jesus, you're not Jesus. We got

  607. to get that through our head, we're not Jesus. And

  608. so Jesus asks his disciples, what should we do with

  609. these people hunger? Not to put the disciples on display,

  610. but put the fact that without Jesus they don't know

  611. what they're doing, because a lot of times we'll say

  612. yes to Jesus and just be like, I got this

  613. thing figured out.

  614. No, you don't.

  615. The disciples didn't. I've said yes to Jesus.

  616. I don't you know? Do you really rely on them?

  617. Well? I think so, because I call myself a Christian?

  618. But do you really rely on him? Do you really

  619. depend on him? Because what does dependence on Jesus look like?

  620. We talked about last week? Obedience is what it looks like.

  621. Jesus was not looking for the disciples to immediately add value,

  622. which is what we want to do when we're around

  623. someone that we really look up to, when we're around

  624. someone that we really want to impress.

  625. What do we want to do.

  626. We want to show how we can do this by ourselves.

  627. We want to show how we got this figured out.

  628. We want to show how Jesus, if you just leave

  629. us too, we'll get all these people fed. But this

  630. task was so impossible that the disciples go, we don't

  631. have enough money to even go to the store and

  632. buy enough food for all of these people. Then he

  633. goes to another disciple and he says, I mean, this

  634. little kid gave us his lunch, which I'm assuming could

  635. be because the kid recognized the disciples might be hungry,

  636. so he offered his lunch to the disciples, like here,

  637. you guys may be hungry.

  638. You guys can have my lunch.

  639. And so one of the other's disciples goes with, this

  640. kid gave us this lunch, and he wanted to give

  641. it to you, but it's surely not enough even if

  642. people broke off pieces. And then Jesus says, I know

  643. what I'll do. Give me the lunch and I'll bless it.

  644. And so the boy gives his lunch. But guess who

  645. also has to give his lunch to disciples? They gotta

  646. be okay with it. They could have been like, hold on,

  647. just like Judas. You know, Judas was like, hey, with

  648. that lady's perfume, we could take.

  649. That and we could sell that. We could do like

  650. another month of ministry.

  651. And so the disciples could have been like, why are

  652. we about to feed all these people. It's not enough

  653. to feed all these people, but it could feed us.

  654. It's enough to feed twelve. And so what happens the

  655. second thing? We see the who that Jesus is a

  656. provider and we want to be seen that Jesus gets

  657. the credit in the story. But then number two, what

  658. is the what? The what is that there is a

  659. physical need. There's a physical need. Yeah, there's a physical

  660. and a spiritual need. Jesus is spiritually teaching everyone, he's

  661. healing people, he's talking to them about the Kingdom of God,

  662. but he also notices that they are hungry. So therefore

  663. Jesus meets their practical needs so that it could lead

  664. them to their spiritual openness. He's meeting their hunger so

  665. that their blindness can be healed. And the what is

  666. And there's so many times in church that we can

  667. get caught up on why do physical things matter? Because

  668. physical things lead people to spiritual truths. And through this

  669. campaign what we're doing, there are are there are physical

  670. elements to it, but it will lead people to a

  671. spiritual inn So what Jesus did with the disciples, Jesus

  672. cares about the physical in people's lives. You know, we

  673. have at all of our campuses yet to open yet.

  674. I'll a meet up at Pomona and Rancho. We have this, uh,

  675. we have a Generosity Center and all many of you

  676. know about it. And our Generosity Center gives over a

  677. million pounds of food away every single year. Every single year,

  678. gives over a million pounds of food. And we've been

  679. so blessed by what God has done. We have one

  680. of the largest nonprofit food contracts in California where we

  681. get so much food sent to us because of some

  682. contracts that we just we have so much that we

  683. not only serve other churches, we we serve homeless centers

  684. where we send our food to and every single Saturday

  685. we feed thousands of families every single Saturday, just feed them.

  686. They just line up and.

  687. We don't check their Christian ID card or anything like that.

  688. We just you hungry, We got you, and so we

  689. just line just line them up, line them up, give

  690. ed if given. And so recently Pastor Lacrese told me

  691. just about a week and a half ago, she said, hey,

  692. it was the launch weekend of our Beyond campaign. And

  693. she said what happened was is on Saturday, there was

  694. two men who were Indian who identified as being Hindu,

  695. and they'd been coming for some time to the Generosity

  696. Center to give food, and he asked Pastor Lacrese, what

  697. is the address of your actual church location, and so

  698. she gave it to him and was like, if you

  699. ever come visit, come look for me and say hi.

  700. And so the next day she sees two men wondering

  701. in the foyer not knowing where to go, and so

  702. she walks up to him and she said, hey, you

  703. guys are here.

  704. What are you guys doing here?

  705. And he said he said, well, we've been served for

  706. so long from the Generosity Center. I began to have

  707. a little bit of money and so I'm looking for

  708. where you give money because I want to give back

  709. to how you guys have been giving to us. And

  710. so he was asking for giving centers and so then

  711. they went to our giving center and he thought he

  712. was typing in Indian money, so he accidentally put three

  713. hundred thousand dollars and she caught it before he swiped

  714. a card and said, I don't think you mean this,

  715. and he was like, no, no, I didn't mean that,

  716. and so he said, I'm putting it up putting it.

  717. You know, I don't know what currency is in India,

  718. but he said, I was putting in that currency, and

  719. so she helped correct it. And then and then she said,

  720. you know what, stay right here. I got a gift

  721. for you guys. And she comes and she brings our

  722. gift we have for first time visitors, brings them anointing oil,

  723. brings them seed for the olive tree. She explains it

  724. to them and they said, you know what. One of

  725. the friends said, I'm Hindu, but I'd like to go

  726. into service. And she and she said, come on to service.

  727. And she brought him into the church and he sat

  728. through service hungry people. Fixing people's hunger. Serving people's hunger

  729. leads to spiritual truths because when you can can't take

  730. care of people's practical needs, God can do a miracle.

  731. And so when you see something that we're doing as

  732. a church, and you see something that's like, oh, that

  733. seems so practical, that seems so physical, that seems so

  734. you know, it's a building, it's a oh no, it's

  735. so much.

  736. More than that.

  737. What happens in four walls is so much more than that.

  738. What happens when people gather is so much more than that.

  739. And what happens is Jesus gives us an opportunity whether

  740. you have the lunch and you need to give your

  741. lunch away, or you are the steward of the lunch.

  742. Because the little boy gave his lunch, but one of

  743. the disciples was the steward of the lunch. So he

  744. had a decision to make. I did I just come

  745. up on a good meal? Can or will I give

  746. this to Jesus? And so we see what Jesus is

  747. doing is he's meeting people's physical needs. Here's the second

  748. thing he does. Where's what's the win? So we've done

  749. the who it's Jesus who provides. We've done the what

  750. both physical and spiritual needs is what Jesus wants to serve.

  751. And then here's the win. The win is right now.

  752. The disciples weren't like Jesus. If you give us seven days,

  753. we can get this done. Will everybody be dead in

  754. seven days? We got seven days? Boys, we got right now.

  755. There is a need right now. We gotta do this

  756. right now. And so what happens, even today's age that

  757. you and I live into, someone may say, oh, what

  758. is vision? We could do it in ten years. We

  759. could do it in twenty years. Yeah, we could do

  760. it in ten years. We could do it in twenty years.

  761. But how many people will not be served in ten years?

  762. How many people won't be served in twenty years? How

  763. many people will we miss out because there's no parking

  764. that we got to turn people the way? How many

  765. people will we miss out because Corona Campus isn't large

  766. enough to hold the people that want to come. How

  767. many people will we miss all because we don't have

  768. the right provisions. Well, no, beauty is that Jesus says,

  769. if you give me what you have have, if he

  770. blesses it, and he can do a miracle. If we

  771. give Jesus what I have, he can bless it and

  772. we could do it.

  773. So win's the wind. The wind is right now.

  774. If you can convince me that when you leave these

  775. doors there are no hungry people, both physically and spiritually,

  776. then we'll just man we'll pack up tomorrow and we'll

  777. just have church seven days a week, and we'll just

  778. lock ourselves in this building and we'll just believe God

  779. that manna comes from heaven every single day. But as

  780. far as I know, when I leave and I go

  781. out into the cities, I see that there are broken

  782. and hurting people. And I know that for half of

  783. this church, majority of your friends aren't followers of Jesus.

  784. You know that your friends are hungry, You know that

  785. they are spiritually dry, You know that they need Jesus.

  786. So how much more so can we believe God for

  787. a miracle in their life? How much more can we

  788. believe that we got to make space for people to come?

  789. He says this in John six five to six, Jesus said,

  790. lifting up his eyes, and then seeing that a large

  791. crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, where

  792. are we to buy the bread so that the people

  793. may eat? He said this to test him, for he

  794. himself knew what he would do. He already knew what

  795. he would do. He wanted to know from the disciples,

  796. what do you guys think that we should do? What

  797. do you think we should do? Here's what I think.

  798. So you take Jesus' miracle? Do I got Do I

  799. got any donut lovers in the house? Any donut lovers can?

  800. Can I have a couple of people that maybe might.

  801. Be hungry for a donut?

  802. Would you would you would you be open to coming

  803. up here right now and gathering.

  804. I don't come up here.

  805. I don't you know, security ain't gonna get you. See

  806. he's says he's running, but he's saying, okay, all right,

  807. we'll come.

  808. Yeah, okay, yeah come.

  809. Oh look wow some hungry Oh look at it all

  810. you decided last minute? He said, no, what I didn't

  811. see you there for a second with the cameo pants on.

  812. That's how it took me a second. I mean, look

  813. at I mean, look at this this just don't eat

  814. it yet, but just grab it. Just smell it. Tell

  815. me like, you know, one out of ten? How are

  816. you feeling about?

  817. Oh?

  818. Look, my man came out of nowhere. They look at you.

  819. You appeared just like Jesus in the clouds. You that's nice?

  820. Is that nice?

  821. Pass it around?

  822. Let everybody take a smell. Just let just do a

  823. quick smell. Just everybody take a little smell. It's gonna

  824. take a smell. Smell this smell. What's the smell like?

  825. Smell like krispy Kreme? What's this smell like?

  826. So?

  827. One? One out of ten? What would you write it? One?

  828. It's a ten, right, it's a ten?

  829. It's a ten out of ten.

  830. Right, it's delicious, and I mean I got a dozen here,

  831. so obviously all of you guys would like one, right,

  832. I mean you guys all wouldn't wouldn't mind one. Look,

  833. you're licking your fingers already. You got no discipline whatsoever.

  834. You already licking your It's nice. Huh put it back

  835. there real quick. I got I still got enough extra.

  836. So here here's the opportunity you guys have. Okay, you

  837. guys are Jesus's disciple, So judgment call is on you guys, Okay,

  838. right now. Honestly, the team already knows the judgment is

  839. on you guys, and I'm gonna need a unanimous decision.

  840. Okay.

  841. So I got this box of donuts that all of

  842. you guys can split. But if you guys are willing

  843. to give this to me, and what's gonna happen. I

  844. don't know how it's gonna happen. But what's gonna happen

  845. is by the end of service today at all of

  846. our campuses, there's gonna be a donut for every single

  847. person in attendance today. Okay, but you have to give

  848. me this back. If you take it.

  849. That's it.

  850. Someone's not gonna get a donut today.

  851. And so what are you guys willing to do? Are

  852. you willing?

  853. Do you want to take your donut right now and

  854. half of the people here ain't gonna get it? Or

  855. do you want do you want to give this to

  856. me and wait for twenty more minutes.

  857. And everybody else is gonna get a donut?

  858. I keep it, We can keep it, he said, Let

  859. me pray about it, let me see yay, ask quick,

  860. ask quick. But here's the thing. You get one too,

  861. then you get one too that the disciples got to

  862. eat too. They just ate last. They ate though they

  863. even had buckets left they had. They're the ones with

  864. the twelve baskets left over they got, they got the leftovers,

  865. but they just ate last. And then what I'm gonna

  866. need you all. I'm gonna need you guys to serve

  867. it to everyone. After said no, I'm just kidding. Let's

  868. give them a handclap. Thank you guys all for saying no.

  869. I appreciate you guys. Why does Jesus ask his disciples

  870. because he's.

  871. Looking for them? Do they get what he wants to do?

  872. In people's lives?

  873. Are they making it all about them.

  874. These we're hungry.

  875. We didn't following you all day. Man, We're the ones

  876. who gotta wipe the sweat off your head when you sweating.

  877. We gotta be the ones that got to hike up

  878. these mountains with you. These people are just trailing you.

  879. We're doing the work. And then Jesus, he says, half

  880. the people sit down, and then he looks at the

  881. twelfth and he says, once I bless it. You guys

  882. got to spend the next four hours serving everybody. Because

  883. to follow Jesus means that you lead in inconvenience.

  884. It means that you lead in service.

  885. It means that you lead in care, and it means

  886. that you eat lest If you love, give me that

  887. clip art one more time. See, the reality is, if

  888. we love these people, then these people have to curb

  889. their appetite until these people get fed. These men and

  890. women have to sacrifice while Jesus, you said, Jesus, we're

  891. the ones with you every day, Feed us, and then

  892. take care of all. You know, half of them ain't

  893. even gonna follow you at the end of the day.

  894. You know half of them are only here because you'll

  895. be making black people see, you know, once you stop

  896. doing that stuff, they're.

  897. Not gonna be following you, you know.

  898. And they could have named a million reasons why Jesus

  899. still cared to feed them. And so when we said

  900. at the beginning, yeah, this is me and this is

  901. me on me and my friends, then majority of our

  902. conversations should be about how we are inconvenienced, how much

  903. Jesus is calling us to sacrifice, on how much Jesus

  904. is calling us to give, and how much Jesus is

  905. calling us to care, how much Jesus calling us to pray,

  906. how much Jesus calling us to sacrifice. Because the moment

  907. you say, well are they sacrificing, it's like, wait, they're

  908. not in Jesus's circle. And the moment they choose one

  909. day to step in Jesus's circle gets what Jesus expects

  910. them to pull their way. But Jesus wants to meet

  911. people where they're at, and they're at a hungry place,

  912. they're at a hungry place, and they're at a place

  913. that Jesus wants to take a small boy's lunch, and

  914. he wants to do a miracle.

  915. And here's the best thing. As we close with some

  916. last thoughts.

  917. Let's go to the next point. Then point the next

  918. point is there? Where does it take place? Well, Mark

  919. six thirty five says, and when it grew late, his

  920. disciples came to him and said this, this is a

  921. desolate place, and the hour is now late. Where it

  922. took place in a desolate place. In other words, there's

  923. a picture that there are people that are sitting in

  924. desolate places and they don't even know it. Jesus knew

  925. that there would be people that would not make it back.

  926. Jesus knew that there were people that would desire to

  927. head back that just strength couldn't make it. He knew

  928. there were children there, he knew there were older people there.

  929. He knows there are six sick people there. And so

  930. he knows it's a desert. It's a desolate place where

  931. I came because he was going to pray, He was

  932. going to take a break from preaching, but they followed

  933. him because they were hungry. And so there are people

  934. today that they are in desolate places. And then what

  935. you'll notice in this desolate place is what happens. Jesus says,

  936. put them in circles, and then go and feed them

  937. and have them sit down. If we were disciples today

  938. and we went back to Jesus's day, we would have said,

  939. they're the hungry ones, let them be in convenience. We'll

  940. take a table and just make everyone stand in line.

  941. Kind of how we're gonna make you guys do for

  942. donuts today. It's just so we're not gonna deliver to

  943. your seat out in the courtyard. It's there's gonna be

  944. a table and it's gonna say, hey, stand in line

  945. and grab a donut. Jesus is love, and also Jesus's

  946. expectation for his disciples to be in convenience is as

  947. such a high that he says, you twelve, take it

  948. to these twenty thousand people. Let them relax, let them

  949. sit down, put them in small groups, let them get

  950. to know each other, and by time you guys get

  951. around to them, let them get as much food as

  952. they want. And then you guys serve the next circle,

  953. and serve the next circle. I would if I was

  954. in that moment, I'd be like, Jesus, isn't fair been

  955. serving all day? You want us to give up our lunches.

  956. You want us to provide a miracle for people and

  957. then you want us to serve everybody and go to

  958. them while they relax. Think about that, Think about your

  959. unbelieving friend that's just far from God, Jesus saying, hey,

  960. let him sit a while. You go and chase him.

  961. But that's the heart of Jesus, says, he goes after

  962. his lost sheep. And so what we try to do

  963. in this campaign is not only create a space where

  964. people that are lost can come and find Jesus, but

  965. also be able to activate our people to be equipped

  966. to be sent out, to be sent out, to be

  967. able to care for people where they're at. That's what

  968. Jesus calls us to do. And here's the last couple

  969. points with this and we'll close, is the why why

  970. does Jesus do it? Why does Jesus do this miracle

  971. so we can see God beyond what we see, because

  972. the disciples saw with a limited perspective. It's on a

  973. limited view. We don't have enough money, we don't have

  974. enough food, and we don't have enough people. And what

  975. happened was is once Jesus blessed it and he sent

  976. his disciples to do it, what happens they see Jesus

  977. in a way they've never seen Jesus before. That's why

  978. this is recorded in all four gospels, because it shows

  979. us the heart of Jesus, the heart of God. But

  980. it also shows the expectations. To be a disciple and

  981. follower of Jesus is it is not to be convenienced,

  982. but it is to be stretched and inconvenienced, to care

  983. for God's people, to hope, to win people to Jesus

  984. so that they can be part of his flock. Jesus

  985. wants them to be part of his family, and so

  986. he wants us to see beyond John six point twenty

  987. nine says this, Jesus answered them, this is the work

  988. of God that you believe in him, whom he has sinn.

  989. This is why Jesus does it. This is why Jesus

  990. will use you and I. This is why Jesus even

  991. does what he does in the world today through you

  992. and I in his kingdom. It is so that the

  993. work of God and everyone believe in him. It's so

  994. that we could see his handiwork and that others could

  995. believe in him and I shared normally sometimes there's a.

  996. How, and I do have a how. How does Jesus

  997. do this well?

  998. For us. He does a how he does it through us?

  999. That's the how.

1000. How's he going to do all this?

1001. How's he going to reach all these people?

1002. I'll go to a mall and I'll be like, Jesus,

1003. how are you going to.

1004. Reach all these people? And I'll feel the spirit of

1005. God say, through you, guys, through Patrio, through Patrio, through

1006. every other church that I'm moving in, It's through you, guys. Well, Jesus,

1007. can't you just snap their finger and save them? Just

1008. snap your finger and save them. Why don't you just

1009. show up in their living room and be like, Hey,

1010. if you don't follow me right now, you're you're lost.

1011. Why don't you just jump in between them?

1012. Why don't you just stop them in traffic and get

  1013. a hold of them.

1014. Well, then we miss the point.

1015. Now God does desire for you and I to participate

1016. in his handywork and see his miracles. He desires us

1017. to be a part of his story. You know, as

1018. I close, there's a You may know or not know

1019. these people, but if you've ever heard of these people,

1020. Chad Pennington, Giovanni Carmazzi, Chris Redman, Mark Buehler, t Martin Spurgeon,

1021. Wynn all of these men have something in common. They

1022. were all quarterbacks who were drafted ahead of Tom Brady.

1023. They all were ahead of Tom Brady.

1024. Tom Brady was the one hundred and ninety ninth draft

1025. pick of the draft in the sixth ground in his

1026. NFL year. Tom Brady today is the only person in

1027. the history of the NFL with seven Super Bowl championships

1028. drafted towards the end of an NFL draft, but today

1029. holds the record with the most Super Bowl champions of

1030. all time. Why do I say that, Well, because if

1031. you passed me a football and I threw it, it

1032. would be one thing. If you pass my son Matthias

1033. a football and he threw it, it'd be another thing.

1034. You may be here and you may even have played

1035. D one football, and if I passed you a football

1036. and you tossed it, it would do one thing. But

1037. a football in Tom brady hands is a lot different

  1038. than a football in Adam's hands, and it's a lot

  1039. different than a football in Matthiasi's hands, and it's a

1040. lot different even from the D one football player's hands.

1041. Because when you're the best quarterback there is with seven championships,

1042. he can throw a ball. And so if you had

1043. an opportunity to catch a football from Adam or Tom Brady,

1044. who you picking, Tay Tom, I'll take the one with

1045. the championships. A lunch in Adam's hand can do one thing,

1046. but a lunch in Jesus's hand can do a completely

1047. different thing. In my hands, it's limited. It's not enough

1048. to feed people. My giving is limited, My sacrifice is limited.

  1049. It's just a fish.

  1050. Of some loaves.

  1051. It's limited.

1052. But that's why it's not supposed to be held in

  1053. our hands.

1054. Let Jesus hold it. Oh it. That's a championship. That's

1055. a miracle, that's a move of God. And so Jesus

1056. is always looking, as we are disciples, for opportunities for

  1057. us to say, Jesus.

1058. You can have what you need to multiply for others

1059. to be fed. You can have what you need.

1060. And as disciples, if we can get to a place

1061. where we say, Jesus, I don't have the answers, I

  1062. don't know how.

  1063. To do this.

  1064. I don't know how to feed these people. I don't

1065. know how to reach these people. But I will sacrifice

1066. where I need a sacrifice all serve where I need

1067. to serve all care for those that I need to

1068. care for. Then Jesus, if he just blesses that it'll

1069. multiply to an amount that you and I could never

1070. do on our own. That's the miracle of God. That's

1071. the miracle of Jesus. I'm gonna pray right now and

1072. we'll close here together. Lord, we thank you for this

1073. word today, Father God. I pray not only we be

1074. encouraged today, but we also be stretched and challenged in

1075. a way that as all of us would be here,

1076. many of us would be here and identify as followers

1077. of Jesus. We would ask Jesus that today you would

1078. stretch us and compel us to care for those who

1079. have yet to meet you. Father God. May we go

1080. out into our city. May we go out into our workplace.

1081. May we go out into our community God, And may

1082. we not see people that are enemies of God. May

1083. we not see people that are opposing Jesus. But may

1084. we see people that are desperately hungry and desolate and broken.

  1085. God.

1086. May we believe that, according to your riches in glory,

1087. you can supply all needs. Father God, we thank you

1088. for this word today in Jesus name.

  1089. Amen and Amen.

1090. Well, hey, as we leave here for matter moments right now,

1091. we're all leave together. But if you're here today and

1092. you've never trusted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and savior,

1093. then I encourage you today before you leave, would you

1094. reflect for a moment and truly think that if you

1095. were to stand before God today, would you stand before

1096. God as friend or foe. I was so encouraged this

1097. week when we were in Alameda because there was about

1098. sixty people in attendance, and about fifteen people gave their

1099. life to Christ. About a fifth of the entire room

1100. gave their life to Jesus.

1101. That's how the kingdom grows.

1102. Doesn't happen in the thousands, It doesn't happens in the

1103. tens of that, it doesn't happen in the millions. It

1104. happens person by person, broken person by broken person, lost

1105. person by lost person. And what's Jesus's desire for a

1106. lost person That they be found, that they come to

1107. know Jesus as Lord and Savior, that they repent of

1108. their sins, and they fully believe on him, fully believe

1109. on him. When we confess him as our Lord and

1110. savior and believe that he died on the cross for

1111. our sins, and truly trust in his work. The Bible

1112. says you and I will be saved. Takes faith. Does

1113. it mean that today you commit to live a perfect life.

1114. It means that today you commit a life that follows

1115. the perfect one. The Holy Spirit will lead you and

1116. guide you and will help you. People will often say, well,

1117. once I get finished with this addiction, or once I

1118. can break up with this person, or once I can

1119. get over this hang up, then I'll be able to

1120. make that decision to follow Jesus. You will never be

1121. able to do it on your own power. Never, You

1122. can never do this on your own. Only the power

1123. of God can give you the strength to be victorious.

1124. So I want to encourage you today to have the

1125. courage to say, God, I.

1126. Am not sufficient into myself.

1127. I'm fully reliant on you Jesus, you as my Lord

1128. and Savior. God can truly do a miracle with that

1129. heart today. And so if you're here today and you're

1130. ready to make decision, can we all right now bow

1131. our heads and close our eyes.

1132. We're gonna say prayer today.

1133. All it is is a prayer of affirmation of God's

1134. goodness and also a prayer affirmation what the.

1135. Holy Spirit is already doing in your heart.

1136. Would you say is today, dear Lord Jesus, in this moment,

1137. I confess you as Lord and Savior. I believe in

1138. my heart that you died on the cross and you

1139. rose three days later. From this day forward, I choose

1140. to follow you for the rest of my.

  1141. Days in Jesus' name.

1142. Amen. Can we celebrate with those who may have said

1143. that prayer today? Hey, we welcome you to the family

1144. of God. We believe that you're a brother a sister

1145. in Christ. The Bible says that if one person gives

  1146. their life to.

1147. Jesus, all of Heaven rejoices.

1148. So we know right now, in this moment, all of

1149. Heaven is rejoicing. So if you said yes to Jesus

1150. for the first time, or, as Pastor Sammy says it,

1151. the last time, would you go to our website ww

1152. dot grow dot Faith. We would love to come alongside

1153. of you, and we'd love to walk with you in

  1154. this journey of faith.

  1155. We're excited.

1156. I'm about to bless for us to leave. If anyone

1157. here needs any prayer at all, Our elders.

1158. Deacons, in prayer team will be up here in the front.

1159. If you got something coming up, if you have something

1160. going on, if you need a believe in God for

1161. some type of healing, come up here in our prayer team.

1162. Would love to come in agreement with you and pray

1163. over you and with your life.

1164. As we come back next week, when.

1165. I encourage you that if you have your pledge card,

1166. you could bring it, don't pre fill it out, we'll

1167. do it, have a moment together next weekend. Even if

1168. you're not turning in the commitment card, that's okay. Remember

1169. I shared at the very beginning if you're at a

1170. place financially that you can't do this right now, all

1171. I said was, hey, would you at least.

1172. Write on it? Pastor Adam, We're with you.

1173. All I want to know is that you're praying and

1174. you're in agreement for what God is doing. But I

1175. know that there are many people in the church who

1176. have been praying, who have been to what God put

1177. on their heart, and they are able to do something.

1178. And so when we come next week, we'll have a

1179. moment where we'll go over this. But if you don't

1180. have one, we'll have plenty next week as well. So

1181. whether you have one originally from your journal or you

1182. need a new one for the pledge card, we're gonna

1183. do it all together next week and we'll give you

1184. a fresh one as well that you could pray through

1185. with your family. I'm gonna pray for us and bless us,

1186. and then the following week will come together and conclude

1187. the series and just celebrate what God has been doing

1188. and saying in our church. I'll pray for us and

1189. we'll leave here. God, thank you so much for your

  1190. goodness and mercy.

  1191. Lord.

1192. I pray blessing over every person that is here today,

1193. Father God, whether they are in our courtyard, cafe or

1194. in this room. Lord, I pray that you anoint their mind.

1195. I pray that you anoint their feet, you anoint their

1196. hands to do the work of Jesus every single day,

1197. Father God, I pray that every person what they see

1198. as a limited resource, or what as they see as

1199. a small boy's lunch, may we see with your eyes Lord,

1200. to say you could do a miracle. So I know

1201. today God, you could do a miracle through any person marriage.

1202. You could do a miracle through any person's life. You

1203. could do a miracle through every element of their body today,

1204. and I pray you do it.

  1205. In Jesus' name.

1206. Amen and Amen, God bless you family.

1207. We'll see you next week.
