Remember the Signs | Joshua 4:1-9 | Gabriel Guzman

Amen. Amen, how are you guys doing tonight? Thank you

guys for coming to church tonight. God has brought you

here for a purpose. If you don't know who I am,

my name is Gabriel. I'm the associate director of Family

Ministries here at Patriot Church. Where's my Patriot Kids and

Patriot Youth family at that's my people right there, those

are my people. I'm glad you we're in service, but

there's still people over there taking care of the kids

right now, so you don't need to worry about it

before we begin into it. I want to honor our

pastors here, Pastor at Adam and Ashley, and Pastor Nathan

and Pastor Aaron for giving me this opportunity to speak.

I don't take it for granted. I account it an honor.

I also want to honor my wife right now. She's

my stylist and she believes in every sermon I ever

put to paper, and so I think her so much

for that. If you have your journals, can you raise

I love to see it. Has this series been good

for you, guys? You've been enjoying the series going through

the book. It's been a great time and we've had

some amazing sermons. If you're here for your first time,

or maybe it's your first time here going through Joshua

on a Wednesday night, I'll encourage you after service. We're

selling those journals so that you can write notes in

there and follow along. We're only in chapter four. We're

starting chapter four tonight, and so there's not a lot

of homework you gotta do. There's not a lot of

recaps you have to do. It's just a few and

so you're still at the beginning, and so there's still

a lot of time before it's two before it just

seems insurmountable. We have twenty four chapters in Joshua. We're

in chapter four, so we're really good. We're really at

the beginning still, and that's where we're gonna be talking

about today, Joshua chapter four, the first nine verses of

the fourth chapter, and so we're gonna read really quick.

We're gonna read these verses, and so if you have

your journals, open up to Joshua chapter four. If you

have your Bibles, open up to Joshua chapter four. We'll

have it for you on the screens as well, and

so if you can do me a favor and stand

for the honor of reading God's word as we get

into it tonight. Joshua four starts like this. When all

the nation had finished passing over the Jordan, the Lord

said to Joshua, take twelve men from the people, from

each tribe a man, and command them, saying, take twelve

stones from here out of the midst of the Jordan,

from the very place where the priest's feet stood firmly,

and bring them over with you, and lay them down

in the place where you lodge tonight. Then Joshua called

the twelve men from the people of Israel, whom he

had appointed, a man from each tribe verse five. And

Joshua said to them, pass on before the ark of

the Lord your God, into the midst of the Jordan,

and take up each of you a stone upon his shoulder,

according to the number of the tribes of the people

of Israel, that this may be a sign among you. Everybody,

say sign. When your children ask in time to come,

what do those stones mean to you? Verse seven, then

you shall tell them that the waters of the Jordan

were cut off before the ark of the Covenant of

the Lord, when it passed over the Jordan, the waters

of the Jordan were cut off. So these stones shall

be to the people of Israel a memorial forever. Two

more verses. And the people of Israel did just as

Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the

midst of the Jordan, according to the number of the

tribes of the people of Israel, just as the Lord

told Joshua. And they carried them over with them to

the place where they lodged and laid them down there

Verse nine. And Joshua set up the twelve stones in

the midst of the Jordan, in the place where the

feet of the priest bearing the ark of the Covenant

had stood, and they are there to this day. You

may be seated. God would come before you right now.

We just thank you for bringing us here. Lord. I

thank you that nobody is here on accident, and everybody

is here for a purpose. God. I pray that I

get out of the way, Lord, and that you speak

right now. People have come to hear you speak, not

a man speak. Pray that I'm a good vessel your name.

We pray Amen. Amen. So we're talking about a sign.

We're talking about signs today because that's what the Lord

instructed the people to do, to make a sign a sign,

to remember what he did for them. And signs communicate

a lot of different things they can. We see signs

all the time throughout our days, when we're driving, when

we're walking around. There's a lot of different signs. Sometimes

signs tell us to do something like a stop sign.

Maybe they tell us what there it is a stop sign, okay,

maybe they tell us what not to do, like a

like a there's like a do not cross sign, right,

do not cross? Don't don't do it. There's a lot

of different signs. There's advertising signs that want you to

buy something. I've never been to Times Square, I'm assuming

there's this a lot of advertisements there. There's this billboards everywhere.

They're trying to get you to buy something. That's what

the sign is trying to tell you to do. Maybe

you've seen people on the side of the road, or

maybe there's an arrow telling you which way to go,

those kind of signs. You know, there was a sign

that I had never seen before when I was driving,

and that's dangerous to never have seen a sign before.

It was at night, and so That's my only out

is that it was at night, but there was lights

around it, so maybe it's not an out. But I

don't know if you guys have ever seen those signs.

It's like a crosswalk in the middle of the street,

just a crosswalk and like the pedestrians press a button

and then the lights flash so that people actually stop.

I've never seen that sign before, and so the Lord

had to take over the wheel in the middle of

the night, and I had to get out of the

way and stuff. But so if you're not walking, if

you're walking, make sure I'm not driving, and we'll be okay.

But I had never never seen that sign before. But

signs communicate something to the person who's looking at the sign.

And so we're talking about today sign that the Lord

told the people to make, and that sign points to something.

That sign puts people in a direction. And I want

to inform you today that you are all signs. You

are all living signs that people look at and you're

gonna give them some kind of direction. You're going to

tell them something about what to do or what not

to do, or where to go or where not to go.

That's what it is. And so for us as believers.

There's many scriptures we could go to that point to us,

if you're a believer in here, if you believe in Jesus,

that you're a sign to the world. But I think

Jesus says it best in Matthew chapter five, verse fourteen.

He says, you are the light of the world. A

city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do

people light a lamp and put it under a basket,

but on a stand, and it gives light to all

in the house. In the same way, let your light

shine before others, so that they may see your good

works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

You are a sign. And so today we're talking about

what this sign that God told the people of Israel

to make a sign to remember what he had done.

And there's three aspects that we're going to learn about

what a sign is supposed to do. And there's something

we can learn about these rocks, because there's three things

that these rocks are supposed to do as a sign,

and we can learn from that because we're supposed to

be a sign. And so these are the three These

are the three aspects we're going to look at and

I'll give them all to you right now so that

you can follow along. Number one is a sign rests,

a sign reveals, and a sign remains. And so let's

see what we can learn about being a sign from

these rocks. But just a little bit of context before

we jump into the first verse. Pastor Nathan preached last

week at the end of Joshua chapter three, and a

miracle happened. The people of Israel are traveling. I mean

it's a long journey, but multi generational journey because in

the Book of Exodus with Moses, and if you've ever

seen the Prince of Egypt, I've ever seen the Ten Commandments,

that's the story that's being referenced there. He delivered his

people out of Egypt. They were slaves there, they're being

mistreated and misused. And God led them out of Egypt

by Moses, and then they started complaining, they started grumbling,

and so that generation, it took them a long time

to get where God had promised them a land of

their own, the promised land or that's how what we

call Canaan or Israel. And so God was leading them

through and there's now there's a new generation, a new

generation that's about to step into the land, and they're

right at the cusp, which is the Jordan River. It's

this river that they have to get through before they

step into the promised land. And Passionathan preached about how

they were looking at this obstacle, this roaring river that's

happening right in spring. The snow has melted and this

river is gushing and it's roaring, and how are we

going to get to the other side. And they're looking

at this obstacle for three days, three whole days. They're

looking at what's stopping them from going forward. And God

does a miracle that he did before with their fathers

and their mothers, where he parted the Red Sea. He

does the same thing here with the Jordan River, and

he parts the Jordan River. And so now we're picking

up in Joshua chapter four, where it's still a part

of that miracle. It's still happening because God's almost And

Pastor Nathan said this last week where he says, you know,

let let's try this again. We did it the first

time with the Red Sea, and then you guys forgot,

you guys started complaining, you guys started grumbling. But now

let's try it again, and I'm gonna make sure you remember.

I'm gonna do something to make sure that you remember,

because this is the land that you're gonna take. And

so we start here, and then we see the first

aspect of a sign of these rocks that they're supposed

to take, and it's that a sign rests, a sign rests.

In the first five verses, let's start with verse number one,

when all the nation had finished passing over the Jordan,

the Lord said to Joshua, and we're just gonna stop

here for literally one second, just to emphasize something that

I'm sure we've already touched on with this series, But

this is how communication works in the Old Testament specifically,

but even through the time of Moses and Joshua. And

it's that God communicates to Joshua, and then Joshua communicates

to the people, and this is how you see the

communication break down, and you're able to trace it even

within these nine verses. You're able to trace how did

they do, how did Joshua do with communicating to the people,

how did the people do with responding to what Joshua said?

And does it all connect to what God wanted? We

can see this in these nine verses, but you can

see this throughout the whole Old Testament. How are the

people responding to what the prophet says? Because that's the

role of a prophet to speak on behalf of God?

And I know Joshua's never referenced as a prophet. He's

like a military general, and that's really how he's referenced.

But he operates like Moses did as a prophet speaking

on behalf of God. And so we'll be able to trace.

All right, Joshua, how good are you doing with these

instructions the Lord's about to tell you? And how are

the people going to respond? Verse two? Take twelve men

from the people, from each tribe a man, and command them, saying,

take twelve stones from here, out of the midst of

the Jordan, from the very place where the priest's feet

stood firmly, and bring them over with you and lay

them down in the place where you lodge tonight. And

this is where we get our first point, which is

that a there we go, here we go, right here,

where are we at where you lodge lay them down?

Perfect stood firmly, lay them down. Now, the first point

that we talked about was that assign rests and this

phrase here, lay them down. This is what the translators

are trying to communicate from something in the Hebrew because

Joshua was originally written in Hebrew, it wasn't written in English.

And if you ever speak another language, there's never really

a one for one in trying to communicate an idea.

You know, my wife speaks Spanish and sometimes there's like

jokes in Spanish. Is she trying to communicate to me

what the joke is? But sometimes there's just not a

one for one in English, and so she's like, sorry,

you don't even get the joke. And I'm like, okay, well,

I guess I just have to I'll just learn Spanish

and then I'll get the joke and then and then

I'll be on the same page. And so lay them down?

Is this idea? The root word that they're translating from

is rest is rest. This is what that means rest.

It's the word Nuah. Everybody say Nuah. Now Nuah might

sound a little familiar, because that's where we get the

name Noah. Noah's name comes from this variation of the

word which means rest. It means rest, and so God

not only commands them. He not only commands them to

make a sign, but that this sign needs to rest.

And rest is like a theme in the Book of Joshua.

We've already talked about some of the other themes in

the Book of Joshua, you know, like being strong and courageous.

That's a theme in the Book of Joshua. You'll see

that throughout the whole book, that the people have to

be strong, they have to be courageous. A theme in

the Book of Joshua that Pastor Nathan touched on last

week was that the Lord has to go before them.

They have to go at the pace of the Lord,

and the Lord's gonna fight their battles. That's another theme.

And here we see another theme which is rest. Rest,

and you'll see it in chapter twenty one. How God

will give the people rest from their battles because they're

battling and they're fighting people, and the Lord will give

them rest. And he also gives them rest from traveling

because they are just sojourners. They've never had their own land.

But by the end of this book they will. By

the end of this book, they're gonna have their own

place to live. They're gonna be to be able to

set up generations of houses and stuff. And the Lord's

gonna give them rest. But I don't know if you know,

but that's just a temporary rest. The people of Israel

didn't have rest in any eternal sense. They went back

to fighting. They had to go back to fighting other enemies,

they had to go back to moving around. They're gonna

get kicked out of this land eventually, if you read

the rest of the book. And so this is just

a temporary rest. And God is just setting up something

for us here. He's setting up an idea here of

something he's just trying to bring. There's a spiritual rest coming.

There has to be something more than just this physical

rest that you're giving us, God, There's a spiritual rest

that he's bringing. There's a spiritual rest that he has

and that comes in Jesus Christ. And some of us

in here have experienced a little bit of that rest

that's been promised here in the Old Testament. You know,

the author of the Book of Hebrews in the New Testament,

he has a whole argument here where he's talking about

this rest, this idea of rest, this spiritual rest that

Jesus brings and the book of Hebrews is all about

how Jesus is better, how Jesus is better than what

the Jews were following, what the Jews were practicing. That

Jesus is so much better. And he's talking about the

rest that you have in Jesus. And in Hebrews four

eight he references Joshua. He says, for if Joshua had

given them rest, God would not have spoken of another

day later on. We have a spiritual rest in Christ

right now and in the future. We know that there's

gonna be an eternal rest. Right We're gonna have an

eternal rest. We're not gonna have to worry about anything

physically in eternity with Christ. That's a promise that we have.

But we can experience a little bit of that in

certain aspects in our life. Maybe you've experienced that peace

that surpasses all understanding, that comfort that you have, that

wisdom that you're able to get, that's all from Jesus,

that's all from Christ. And that's a part of that rest.

And so if we're supposed to be a sign, a

living sign to the world, are we resting in Christ?

Are we putting our worries on Christ are putting our

anxieties are inadequies? Are we giving that all to Him?

Are we holding on to it? We're keeping this for ourselves.

For some reason, we have to rest and not just sleep.

We're not talking about something physical, We're talking about something spiritual,

because that's a rest that won't run out, that's a

rest that won't run dry. We need to rest. Verse four.

Then Joshua called the twelve men from the people of Israel,

whom he had appointed, a man from each tribe. And

Joshua said to them, pass on before the ark of

the Lord, your God, into the midst of the Jordan,

and take up each of you a stone up on

his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

Now let me just emphasize this really quick, because it's

really nice when you're reading it. But did you notice

this upon their shoulders. These aren't little rocks like I know,

I don't know if you. If you have your baggy

in here, we're gonna get to it. Don't worry, just

keep it to the side. But these rocks, they had

to put them on their shoulders. These were big rocks.

They weren't little pebbles that they were gonna put in

their pocket and keep it pushing. They were big, they

were heavy, They had to put them on their shoulders.

They may have been annoying to move. They may have

been burden some Joshua, why do we have to pick

up these boulders? Do we have to pick up these

rocks and take them over here? Can't we just pick

a little stone? Can we pick a little rock? No,

we have to pick these ones, Like, why do we

have to do that? And if you notice, these rocks

go through the same journey that the Israelites go through

by going through the Jordan River and passing before the

ark of God, these stones are doing the same journey

that the people have to do. And sometimes it's burdensome

to be a sign, to be a living sign and

point in the right direction. It can be annoying to

want to have to do that, for people to look

at you all the time, and for you to have

to always point them in the right direction, because you

don't want to point them in the wrong direction. Because

we're talking about eternity here, and eternity is forever and

ever and ever, and if we're living signs, that's a

lot of pressure and sometimes I don't feel like being

a sign to somebody. Sometimes I like to point to

myself sometimes sometimes I like to point at other people.

Sometimes I like to point at my phone, or I

like to point at the TV. I like to point

anywhere else. Because sometimes it's just too much and it's

too heavy. But God wants to do a miracle. God

wants to do a miracle, and he wants you to

remember that miracle. And so we need to remember that

we need to rest in Christ even when we don't

feel like it, even when it's hard, even when it's troublesome.

The second aspect here is a sign reveals a sign

reveals verse six that this may be a sign among you.

When your children ask, in time to come, what do

these stones mean to you, then you shall tell them

that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before

the ark of the coming of the Lord, when it

passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were

cut off. So these stones shall be to the people

of Israel a memorial forever. And so these stones were

to be a sign to the next generation. Right He

says in verse six, when your children ask, in time

to come, what do these stones mean to you. So

the ideal it's generational. These stones are not for necessarily

for them right now, but it's for for those to

see and then you tell them what it's about. And

what's interesting is these stones almost beg a question to

be asked about them. The children are walking around seemingly

and they see the stones and they ask the parent

what do these even mean? And so my question is

for us, are we living in such a way that

people are asking a question about us? Are they asking us?

Why are you reading your Bible every day? Why are

you coming to church on a Wednesday night? Why do

you keep praying? Why don't you why don't you cuss

that person out when they did that to you? Why

did you do them dirty? Why are you doing? Are

we living in such a way that's begging a question

to be asked of us? Because these stones were built

in such a way that it just begged a question

to be asked. And maybe the questions being asked aren't great.

Maybe we need to turn them, turn the questions different,

Maybe we need to act different so that the questions

change as well. But I want to make sure that

we don't lose you here. Can we pull up the

ABC d. You'll see what it is right now, all right,

ABC D. Oh it's kind off to the side. That's

all right, So I don't want to lose anybody. This

I need. We need to dial in here, We need

to lock in here. Pastor Sammy touched on one of

something that looked like this in chapter two. But I'm

gonna explaining what this is. And this is really a

tool for you guys to use in your own Bible reading.

Raise your hand if you went to the Bible sprint

in here, all right, that's great, that's awesome. The Bible

sprint is what we had here at Patriot where we

just gave everyone practical tools on how to study the

Bible on your own. When you when you go on

your own and you're studying your Bible, how, how how

do you do that? And what are the tools that

you can use? This is one of This is an

additional tool that you can use. And that's a key asm.

Everybody say, key asm, key asm. That's what this is.

And that's what Pastor Sammy talked about on Joshua chapter two.

It's very poetic. It's basically a litter a type of

I don't even know what word I'm looking for. It's

it's just a literary tool that an author uses to

try and emphasize something. If you notice, when we were

reading this section, it seems super repetitious, seems like the

author's being redundant. They keep saying the same stuff kind

of over and over again in different ways. But that's

what it's supposed to do. And so if you see

the A the A, the content of the A lines

up with the content of the other A at the

end of the verse. Right we've put it. We've structed

a noise that you can see it. You know, the B.

The B is the same content as what's in the B.

The C and the C and the D and the D.

It's all the same kind of content. And it's called

a key asm because it makes an X. It makes

an X. Now that's our letter X, but the Greek

letter is key. That's the letter we get our X from.

So it's it's a key And so this is the

key asm. And just like a like if you're reading

a treasure map, X marks the spot what's being emphasized

is in the middle, in the middle, and so we

see it right here, what's being emphasized the lord. So

This is supposed to be a sign not only of

what the miracle that the Lord did, but that the

Lord was at the center of it, that he's the

one who did it. And so I don't know about you,

but are we pointing people to the Lord being the

central point in our life? Is anything being asked about us?

We're pointing them straight up. I do this because the

Lord did this for me. It's not a whole long

story about everything I did. It's not a whole long

story about what this person did for me. It's that

the Lord brought me through a crazy time. The Lord

did a miracle in my life. The Lord was at

the center of it. That's what the point is. A

sign reveals to others what the sign is. Four. The

stop sign tells you to stop. The green light tells

you to go. These are all signs that we see

in signs that we can see in our own lives.

And just because God instituted a sign here doesn't mean

we can't learn from it as we are also signs.

Let's do this last one here. A sign remains, a

sign remains Verse eight, And the people of Israel did

just as Joshua commanded. You see how we can trace it.

God told Joshua. Joshua told the people, and now we

see how the people did. The people did just as

Joshua commanded, and took up the twelve stones out of

the midst of the Jordan, according to the number of

the tribes of the people of Israel, just as the

Lord told Joshua. And they carried them over with them

to the place where they lodged and laid them down there.

And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of

the Jordan, in a place where the feet of the

priest bearing the ark of the Covenant had stood. And

they are there to this day. You see a sign

remains these stones even from the writing of this book.

He emphasizes right at the end of verse nine, they

are there to this day. You can go Israeli after

reading this book, and you can go and see those

stones right now. You can see those that sign that

got instituted a generation ago, and you can go see

them right now. A sign last. This sign had endurance,

It stood the test of time, It lasted through generations.

It didn't wither away. We need to be durable as signs.

We need to be steadfast as signs we need to

be able to get through hard times as being a

sign to the world. How do we do that though?

How are we able to stand the test of time?

How are we able to stand against all of these

things that could be coming at us. Well, there's a

lot of scriptures we can go to, but I think

the simplest is emphasizing obedience and faithfulness through trials. Through trials,

James Chapter one, verse two says, this count it all joy,

my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds verse three.

For you know that the testing of your faith produces

what steadfastness, it produces durability, it produces whatever word you

want to use. But your faithfulness through a trial, your

obedience through a trial, is what is going to produce

you being durable. It's going to produce you being steadfast.

It's going to produce you being there to this day.

As it says about these stones, it's not just something

that's here today and gone the next because the weather

changed because it got hot outside. Okay, we got to

change it up out. There's too much water here too,

there's too much rain. These stones didn't think any of that.

There were stones, and so they were there to be

there through the test of time, and we need to

do the same through these trials. And it's hard. I

don't know what trials you have gone through, are going through,

or will go through. I don't know any of that.

We don't know what signs, what trials we will go through.

But all we do know is that if we remain

faithful and obedient to God through that trial, it's going

to produce something out of us, because that's what God

wants to do. He wants to produce something out of you.

He wants to make you durable. He wants to make

sure that you're going to be here for the next generation.

He wants to make sure that you're going to be

here for the future. And not just you physically, but

your faith, your faith in Christ. It's not a fickle thing.

We have to stay with it. We have to stay

durable and we have to lean on God for that.

You remain durable through your obedience and faithfulness, but we

need to remember what God has done for us to

begin with. You know, you could try, you could be faithful,

you can be obedient through a trial, but if you

forgot about what God's done for you, you're gonna be

like the old generation in the book of Exodus, the

generation that just started complaining after God parted the Red

Sea and freedom from slavery. They got hungry and then

they forgot about that miracle. They needed some water. They

were thirsty, and they forgot about what God did. And

so for us, we need to remember what God has

done for us so that we can remain faithful through

our trials. You know, we do uh, we do crafts.

And Patriot kids, I don't know if you if you

have any kids and checked them in there and maybe

they've come out and they've said, look at what we

did today, Look what we did today. And you know

what I thought. I thought, man, why don't we ever

get that here? Why don't we ever get a craft?

And so that's what these are. We're gonna do a craft.

And so after when you pick up your kids, right now,

Patriot kids, you can say, look what I did today,

Look look what I did today. Over here, So we

have our we have these bags here, we have the

rock and uh and a marker hopefully you didn't throw

it away or whatever it is. If you don't have one,

maybe just raise your hand and we'll try to get

one in your hands. Now. These rocks are different sizes,

so I cannot tell you which how what the size

of your rock is. But what I want you to

do with this rock is just try and think about

one thing, one thing that the Lord's done for you

in your life, a miracle he's done for you in

your life, something he's brought you through. Maybe you just

put a name on there, Maybe you just put a

word on there, maybe a date, whatever you put on

there for you to remember what He's done for you,

how far he's brought you, what He's done in your life,

because I'm sure it's been miraculous, and I don't know

what that looks like for you. So you can take

some time and write that down. But I'm going to

pray over us and pray over these rocks so that

we can put I don't know if you want to

keep it in your car or put it at home

or wherever you want to keep it so when you

look at it, you can remember what God's done for you,

just like these Israelites. Did you know we're participate with

Israel right now and making our own signs, our own

signs to remember what God has done. God. We thank you, Lord,

We thank you for your word and everything that can

be learned from it. God. We pray for these rocks

right now, Lord, that you would always bring to remembrance

what you've done in our lives, the miracles that you've

done in our lives, where you've brought us out of Lord,

what we used to do. God, that you've rescued us from. Lord.

I pray that we're not like the old generation that

just forgets about it, Lord, but that we can remember

that we can remain steadfast, that we can remain durable

through trials because we can remember what you've done for us. Lord.

We thank you God, and we praise you in your name.

We pray Amen. Amen. Now, I don't want to take

it for granted, for who's in this room and maybe

hasn't heard about Jesus before, or hasn't heard about this

God we've been proclaiming, or or what the Israelites are

even doing and what that all means. But I have

a rock here and you can't You probably can't see it,

but I wrote sin on that rock because that's what

God has done for everybody, is that he sent Jesus

to die on the cross for your sins. And that's

the bad news, is that we have sin, and sin

is that thing that keeps us from spending eternity with God.

I don't know if you noticed, but when you walked

in that building into this building, on the top of

the building, it says, where will you spend eternity? And eternity,

like we talked about before, is forever and ever and ever,

because we are not here forever on this earth. We

will all die one day and we are either going

to spend eternity with Jesus or without Jesus. And it's

all because of sin. And so Jesus died on the

cross to save us from our sins, to pay for

our sins so that we can spend eternity with Him

instead of eternity without him. And so if you're in

this place and you want to have a relationship with Jesus,

this is what we tell all the kids, and payt

your kids. It's as easy as abc. All you have

to do is accept Jesus as your lord and savior,

to believe that he died on the cross and rose

again for your sins, and that you confess your sins

to him, because you'll be faithful and forgive you. If

you're in this place, we're all gonna close our eyes

and bow our heads and we're all going to say

a prayer together. And this prayer doesn't save you, but

this prayer just confirms what the Holy Spirit is already

doing in your heart. It confirmed what you already believe.

But we're gonna pray together right now. Say, dear Lord Jesus,

I accept you as my Lord and savior. I believe

that you died on the cross and rose again from

my sins. I thank you God for forgiving me. I

praise you and I thank you. Amen. Amen, If you

said that prayer for the first time, we just want
