  1. Welcome to all those that are joining us for the

  2. first time. They're joining us for the end of a

  3. six week series we've been doing. And before we jump

  4. into the last portion of our series we've been talking

  5. about as a church, let me share a couple of

  6. things as this is the last day of our series.

  7. The first thing is this Wednesday's gonna be incredible. And

  8. so if you've been navigating raising children, raising grandchildren, stepping

  9. into a relationship or marriage, every beyond.

  10. I do night, we're gonna do for this year.

  11. Every quarter we're gonna have a specific theme and topic

  12. and we're gonna have conversation around and so, like Ashley

  13. shared this one, this Wednesday is gonna be on how

  14. to raise a godly family, and we're gonna have different

  15. people of different seasons of life, whether it's children, teenagers,

  16. grown children now kind of have a conversation of what

  17. type of steps have happened to raise godly children and

  18. what things can we apply into our own lives.

  19. So that's gonna be really great.

  20. Additionally, on Sunday next week is our baptism day. All

  21. in it's gonna happen on Sunday, and here's what the

  22. next couple weeks are gonna look like because I know,

  23. for the past six weeks we've been really having some

  24. family talk, and I've talked to people in our church

  25. and they were like, I've been inviting first time guests

  26. and friends for months and sometimes years, and the weekends

  27. they decided to come were the time that we were

  28. in this series, you know. And some were like, Oh,

  29. this is great. I love to see that your church is,

  30. you know, doing a financial campaign. That's awesome. It means

  31. that it's alive and there's vision. And then there was

  32. other first time guests that people invited their friends and

  33. were like, well, not the first weekend, I would love

  34. to show up to, you know type of thing. And

  35. I get that, And so coming up for the next

  36. couple weeks, starting a baptism weekend next weekend, but then

  37. for the next three weeks after that, we're going to

  38. step into a series. But it's not a new series.

  39. Our church this month is thirty one years old, and

  40. so it's absolutely incredible that in nineteen ninety four March

  41. of nineteen ninety four, Pastor Diego and Cindy my parents

  42. would open up their home and twelve people would show

  43. up on a Sunday. At that time, only about twelve

  44. to twenty people heard this sermon series. Because when my

  45. dad planted this church in nineteen ninety four in Fontana,

  46. he started a series and he launched the church with

  47. a series called Secret Wounds and Silent Cries of the World.

  48. And so when he was preaching, he was preaching about

  49. how Jesus is there for those secret cries that you

  50. have and those silent wounds that you have. And so

  51. thirty one years later, we're actually going to redo that series.

  52. Pastor Diego is gonna come.

  53. And help preach it as well, and so for after

  54. thirty one years, we're going to revisit the Secret Wounds

  55. in Silent Crises sermon series. Next week we have baptism,

  56. but after that is going to be that series. Here's

  57. why that matters, because I know we've been in a

  58. very heavy family talk season talking about twenty million dollars

  59. of vision God has given our church with the growth

  60. that we're seeing across all.

  61. Of our campuses.

  62. So what we want to do over the next four

  63. weeks is, honestly, we want to go fishing.

  64. We want to win people to Jesus. And so if

  65. you have friends that you feel like you're like, Oh,

  66. I got friends, I know they.

  67. Got secret wounds. I got friends that I know they

  68. have silent cries. Well, we're gonna navigate with them and

  69. how Jesus can help navigate those silent christs and those

  70. secret wounds. And so this next four weeks is a

  71. great time to invite a friend. If you know a

  72. friend that's going through something in life, you can invite.

  73. Them next week for baptism weekend.

  74. They're not gonna may not decide to be baptized, but

  75. God will begin to speak to them starting next week.

  76. But then the weeks after that, the entire month of March.

  77. I believe God is gonna not only speak to you,

  78. but He's gonna speak to some people that you really

  79. care about, that have been navigating maybe some hard times

  80. in their life. And so this series is meant for

  81. you because people have been coming to say, pass around them.

  82. I want to invite my friends, but I want to

  83. invite them on a weekend that we're talking about twenty

  84. million dollars and so.

  85. I get that. So from here on out, you can.

  86. Start inviting your friends on those weekends where we'll talk

  87. about some other things that isn't the necessary things that

  88. we've had to talk about for the past six weeks.

  89. And so I thank you so much for partnering the

  90. excitement of the church, for believing in the vision and

  91. believing what.

  92. God is doing in multiple cities.

  93. And this is the end of that series, and I'll

  94. share this before we jump in as well.

  95. On April fifth.

  96. And six, So last Sunday, we had a commitment Sunday

  97. where we talked about making a financial commitment over the

  98. next three years to.

  99. Believe God to do more vision in our church.

  100. And if you have your journal or you have been

  101. with us, you can either go to our website and

  102. see Beyond and see all the projects we're doing, or

  103. your journal names all those things. But as we begin

  104. to conclude, you may have missed last weekend and so

  105. over the next few weeks you can still make a

  106. pledge like Pastor Aaron talked about. So in the front

  107. of your seats, in your seat pockets, you'll find one.

  108. Not everyone comes to church every Sunday, and so some

  109. of you guys may have missed last week, and you

  110. still want to believe God for what God's doing in

  111. the Beyond campaign and you want to still make a

  112. commitment with the church, because this is your home church.

  113. If you're just visiting our church, if you're just checking

  114. out our church, this isn't for you to participate in unless.

  115. You'd like to.

  116. This really isn't for you to participate in. This is

  117. for people that call Patria home. And what we're believing

  118. God and what we're investing in is actually for all

  119. those new people that are coming to Patria to make

  120. room for them for God to minister to them.

  121. And so it's not too late.

  122. You could still make a commitment all the way through

  123. the end of this month and beyond, and then today

  124. at the end of service, we're going to make some

  125. space that if anyone would like to actually sew a

  126. seed offering into what God is doing in the church,

  127. because we're going to start projects right away, and so

  128. if you want to partner with us in that way.

  129. All of you came with an envelope, but what we're

  130. going to do at the end of service, many of you,

  131. if you're like me, I don't give cash or check anymore.

  132. I give online and so this is also kind of

  133. a signifier. And so even today when we go to

  134. sew you could just put your name on it and

  135. put online or something like that, or but we want

  136. to be able to let you participate. If you want

  137. to to come up and put an empty one of these,

  138. and our finance team knows if it's empty, then more

  139. than likely you were doing it to signify what you're

  140. already gonna do online as well. And that's okay, because

  141. that's what I'm gonna be doing at the end.

  142. Of service as well. Well.

  143. You may have missed the past couple of weeks, and

  144. so before we dig into the word of God, our

  145. team put together a little recap so that you can

  146. see all that God has been speaking to our church.

  147. Over the past five weeks. So let's check that out.

  148. How many times God has called us as believers not

  149. to give out of our convenience, but to give out

  150. of our sacrifice.

  151. What kind of church would we have if everybody pattern

  152. their giving after you.

  153. When you want basic training and you want to be

  154. built up and you want to believe God, you read acts,

  155. you want God to grow your life, you need a

  156. home base.

  157. Christianity is not only a movement of grace, It is

  158. a movement of radical generosity.

  159. With your time sacrificially giving with your talents, sacrificially gifting

  160. with potentially your treasure. But do you really rely on them?

  161. Do you really depend on him? Because what does.

  162. Dependence on Jesus look like we talked about last week?

  163. Obedience is what it looks like because you're like, okay,

  164. I can move up, and then you go to.

  165. These steps and then you just but where all that

  166. noise coming now it's just loud.

  167. Is if you can silence Satan's voice and you can

  168. filter the world's voices, what you will.

  169. Begin to do is now you'll begin to be able

  170. to hear God's voice. And so what are you guys

  171. willing to do? Are you willing?

  172. Do you want to take your donut right now and

  173. half of the people here ain't gonna get it? Or

  174. do you want Do you want to give this to

  175. me and and wait for twenty more minutes and everybody

  176. else is going to get a donut? Can I keep it?

  177. We can keep it? He said, Let me pray about it.

  178. Let me see you ask quick, ask quick. Many of

  179. you are a byproduct of people that's sacrifice. So I'm

  180. only asking you to do that. I did that for

  181. my three boys. Nathan, Caleb and Adam and your children

  182. that were the age of my children, so that they'd

  183. have a place to connect with God.

  184. I thank you for every individual and here that calls

  185. Patria home. But not only calls Patriot home. They call

  186. it family Father, because when they step on this property,

  187. that's exactly.

  188. What it is. And so many of us who call

  189. Patriot Home church, we want to see God do more.

  190. Two hundred of these cards were turned in. They made

  191. a pre commitment as leaders in our church. Guess how

  192. much was already committed to the Beyond campaign.

  193. I have the number. It was three million, three hundred

  194. and forty.

  195. Three thousand, nine hundred and seventy nine dollars.

  196. Then it's safe to say, Man, if two hundred families

  197. believe that much to carry seventeen percent of the burden,

  198. when they're still over seven thousand, over eight thousand families

  199. to go, well, guess what there are leaders that believe

  200. in what Patriots doing. If we're doing community together, we

  201. could lean on each other. We could get to where

  202. God wants to take us.

  203. Come on one month time show HELLEU.

  204. All right, Well, praise God.

  205. God has been saying some incredible things to our church,

  206. and this is the last message to this series that

  207. we've been doing and really a journey we're going to

  208. take to see God make an impact in people's lives

  209. over the next three years as we do some incredible

  210. things together, projects together to make more room for those

  211. that are coming to Patrio. And so if you have

  212. a Bible and you like to turn to Galatians chapter six,

  213. you'll hold your finger there. If you don't have one,

  214. that's okay, we'll have it up on the screen and

  215. you'll be able to follow along.

  216. With us as well.

  217. But on April fifth and sixth, that weekend, we're going

  218. to share what has come in on commitments and what

  219. hits come in from the Miracle Offering, because we're want

  220. to be able to create some space for people to

  221. still turn in their commitment cards. There's been a few

  222. thousand commitment cards already turned in from.

  223. Last week, and like I shared though, there's about.

  224. Eight thousand families that call Patria their home church, and

  225. so we're want to give some more weeks to be

  226. able to love any family that wants to.

  227. Participate to participate.

  228. Additionally, we want to be able to create space for

  229. any family that wants to sew in a miracle offering

  230. to see things start right away. To be able to

  231. do that over the next couple weeks as well. But

  232. if you want to join us, we'll also send out

  233. some emails you'll see on social media on April fifth

  234. and six.

  235. What God has.

  236. Done through our church and what we're going to continue

  237. to see him do.

  238. Well.

  239. Let's conclude our series in Galatians chapter six, verses six

  240. to ten. If you're ready to read God's word today,

  241. would you stand for a moment as we give the

  242. Lord our full attention with the word of.

  243. God as it is spoken today. Here's what the Bible says.

  244. It says, let the one who has taught the word

  245. share all good things with the one who teaches.

  246. Do not be deceived.

  247. God is not mocked, for whatever one sows that he

  248. will also reap. For the one who sows to his

  249. own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But the

  250. one who sows to the spirit, from the spirit will

  251. reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of

  252. doing good, for in due season we will reap if

  253. we do not give up. So then as we have opportunity,

  254. let us do good to everyone and especially to those

  255. who are of the household of faith.

  256. You may be seen in.

  257. Let's dig into what the apostle Paul speaks about in

  258. this moment. What the Apostle Paul is talking about is

  259. a law in God's Word that is continually spoken about.

  260. Jesus speaks about it, the Old Testament speaks about it.

  261. And it's this law that says that what you sew

  262. tends to be what you will reap.

  263. Out of what you sew.

  264. Now, the Apostle Paul talks about this conversation both financially

  265. but also in life. In this moment, he talks about

  266. what it means to do good, not only to a stranger,

  267. but to do good to those that are in the

  268. household of faith. You know, Jesus even teaches this in

  269. Luke chapter six, verse thirty seven to thirty eight.

  270. Look what it says.

  271. It says do not judge, which is a type of sewing.

  272. So Jesus encouraging us don't judge, and he because if you.

  273. Don't, well you will not be judged. That's what you

  274. will harvest.

  275. If you don't judged, then guess what God's not gonna

  276. judge you? And he says, now forgive and sow forgiveness,

  277. and what God will forgive you, you will harvest forgiveness.

  278. And then he continues to say a few verses later.

  279. Give so and what it will be given to you,

  280. it will be harvested.

  281. And so there's a principle that's being shared that is

  282. what you sow is what you reap. But a lot

  283. of times in people's life, what will happen is is

  284. right here in my hand, is I have some little

  285. olive seeds, right here, the little olive seeds. What we

  286. tend to do is we will sow something and then

  287. we will want to reap something completely different that has

  288. nothing what we sowed. And so what happens is if

  289. I sowed an olive seed, when it grows, what comes

  290. out of it olives. If I sow an olive seed,

  291. I'm not gonna to greep strawberries. I'm not gonna read cucumbers.

  292. And there are times that we will believe God for

  293. things without realizing you have been sowing seeds of the

  294. complete opposite. Like there'll be times that I'll sit down

  295. with people and they want to they want to harvest

  296. a better relationship.

  297. I want to harvest a better marriage. And then we

  298. sit down and we're like, well, let's talk.

  299. About what seeds you're sowing, Like how do you talk

  300. to your spouse, how do you talk to your children,

  301. how do you love your spouse?

  302. How do you care for your spouse?

  303. Okay, so you are sowing nothing of godly character of

  304. goodness to your spouse.

  305. And you are asking God to give you a harvest

  306. of something beautiful.

  307. You can't have it.

  308. That's what the Word of God is talking about.

  309. Is what we have to recognize is what we are

  310. harvesting a lot of times in our life is because

  311. of seeds we've sown. And until you become aware of

  312. the type of seeds that you're sowing, the type of

  313. thoughts that you're sowing, the type of words that you're sowing,

  314. the things that you're allowing your eyes to see.

  315. Because in my life, when I've.

  316. Reflected many times when things were going astray and things

  317. weren't working, and I actually look at what type of

  318. seeds I'm sowing, Well, I was just getting what I.

  319. Was giving, It's all, you know, I thought to myself.

  320. This week, I happened to.

  321. Be at an event and one of the nation's most

  322. requested speaker was at this event. And I won't give

  323. his name because a conversation we had was more of

  324. a private conversation, but I can share with you some

  325. of the things that he said. And so if you

  326. know who Tony Robbins is, it wasn't him that I met,

  327. but I met someone similar to his level.

  328. He's listed literally.

  329. In America as one of the top three corporate speakers

  330. in America. So any company, any workplace, anything like, they

  331. want this guy to come and speak to their employees speak.

  332. And so he's doing massive conventions, massive staff meetings for

  333. some of the biggest companies in the world. And he

  334. happened to be at this event and I caught him

  335. at the elevator, and I happened to know that he

  336. was He's from our area somewhat, and so I just

  337. mentioned the area that I was from, and we kind

  338. of started a conversation, I said, and then I said, well,

  339. I specifically live in Rancho Cucamunga. And this individual says,

  340. you know, there is a preacher in Rancho Cucamonga who

  341. I believe is one of the greatest preachers in America.

  342. He said, his name's Diego Messa. Have you ever heard

  343. of him?

  344. And I said, yeah, I've heard of him before.

  345. And then he goes. He said, you know, many many

  346. years ago, he said, is your church still on.

  347. Haven and whatever whatever it's called. I said, Foothill Haven

  348. in Foothill. He said, yes, yes, yes, is that large church?

  349. Is that still there?

  350. And I said, yeah, I'm aware of it. It is

  351. still there.

  352. And and he said, you know what, many many years ago,

  353. when I was first starting to speak, I used to

  354. sneak into that church to listen to Pastor Diego and

  355. his preaching inspired my communication. I couldn't believe it. And

  356. I said, in fact, that's actually my dad.

  357. He couldn't believe it. I said, now that I know that.

  358. Story's going positive, I could tell you who who that

  359. guy is. You never know nowadays, you know, you just

  360. you never know. So when he said, oh, I love

  361. that guy, and then he said I used to sneak

  362. in and I would listen to his sermons to be inspired.

  363. This is a top three communicator in the nation.

  364. And he used to sneak into our church and he

  365. would listen to Pastor Diego Loo.

  366. What is that?

  367. That is the faithfulness? I'm so thankful that Pastor Diego

  368. stayed faithful to the call to preach. And what did

  369. he do in his preaching? He's sewed a seed into

  370. someone else's life, where their gift is now being sewed

  371. into more people than I'd ever reach right now, or

  372. Pastor Diego has ever reached and was inspired. Why Because

  373. a lot of times the things you sew will be

  374. harvested for someone else. And we got to be able

  375. to be okay with that because a lot of times we'll.

  376. Be like, I ain't so in this and.

  377. Having olives grow to let someone else come eat olives

  378. from my olive tree. And so then what do we

  379. do is we live in a selfish mentality that hordes resources,

  380. that hoards God's gift, that hords God's calling. How many

  381. of you guys have ever had an inSpot that you

  382. really liked, or you had a friendship that you really

  383. liked and you didn't want to introduce another friend because.

  384. You feel like they would get along better than you

  385. got along with them. So what do we do?

  386. We hoard relationships, we hoard resources, we hoard our own gifts.

  387. Why because this is what God gave me. No, God

  388. didn't give it to you. He has signed it to you.

  389. There's a difference between being given something and assigned something.

  390. When I'm assigned to something, it's an awareness that this

  391. isn't mine. When given something, then yeah, it's my ownership.

  392. If I give you the keys to something and I

  393. signed away the pink something, yeah you say it's yours.

  394. But if I say, hey, here's some keys to borrow,

  395. come give me the keys back, then what you know?

  396. You're an assignment and you know than anyone you see.

  397. Have you ever treated something that was yours to if

  398. someone borrowed you something. When something's mine, I don't let

  399. anyone touch it. But when I borrow something from someone,

  400. I'm like, yeah, you can hold it, no problem, it's

  401. not mine. There's a freedom says yeah you could. And

  402. in the same way God is looking for us with

  403. the seeds that he's called us to sow, with your gifts,

  404. with your talents, with your abilities, with your time, that

  405. God is looking for us to be open armed say

  406. yeah I have time. Yeah, these gifts aren't mine. This

  407. is something that God in trust in me with. And

  408. so a few moments I just want to see us

  409. to see for there's four laws of sowing and reaping

  410. that I want to share with you from the scriptures

  411. that we just read.

  412. Here's the first law I want you to see, which

  413. is the most common one and the one we know,

  414. which is this, what you plant is what you get.

  415. You reap what you sow.

  416. Now we know in between there there's other people's wills,

  417. there's other people's decisions, and so we can't impose on

  418. other people's choices and decisions, and so there is that reality.

  419. We know that that other people are involved in circumstances.

  420. But here's what I do know is that God is good.

  421. He has goodness and faithfulness, and the Word of God

  422. says that it will follow you for all of your days.

  423. As you come to know God, goodness and mercy will

  424. follow you. And so what we see according to this

  425. is the what you plant is what you get. And

  426. so the encouragement is and what we need to ask

  427. ourselves is what seeds in my sowing in the season

  428. of life that I'm in today, what are the seeds?

  429. Because I do know that if.

  430. You sow a prayer life, then guess what you will

  431. reap a relationship with the Lord. If you sow time

  432. with God by reading his word, Then the Holy Spirit

  433. will bring things to your remembrance.

  434. You will reap what it is that you sow. You

  435. will what you sew.

  436. Here's the second law that we see is what you

  437. get is greater than what you gave. You reap more than.

  438. What you sow. So I have an olive seed right here.

  439. You know, when I plant this olive seed and I

  440. water it and I make sure it gets a lot

  441. of sun and it gets good soil.

  442. How many even guys would think it's odd and a waste.

  443. Of time if I planted this seed and only one

  444. olive grew from that tree. When you think about it, logically,

  445. one seed should produce one olive, but it doesn't. One

  446. olive seed will produce hundreds of olives, if not potentially

  447. thousands of olives.

  448. Same with an apple tree. If you take some apple

  449. seeds and you plant an.

  450. Apple tree, you don't get one apple, you get hundreds

  451. of apple.

  452. So when you.

  453. Plant seeds, what will happen is is you get more

  454. than what you gave. As it grows and as it matures,

  455. you will see it is far more than you expected

  456. in your level of obedience. And it is hard work.

  457. It's hard work to cultivate land. It's hard work to

  458. water seeds, it's hard work to make sure it has

  459. enough sunlight. But as it begins to grow in its conditions,

  460. it will bear more fruit than what you put into it.

  461. And that's what we know.

  462. A relationship with God is a lot of times we're

  463. looking where God is at without putting any time and effort.

  464. But what will happen is if you put time and

  465. effort in a relationship with God, you will see.

  466. That what comes out of it is far more than

  467. what you gave. Is far more. But at first it

  468. takes some obedience.

  469. Proverbs eleven twenty four says this one person gives freely,

  470. yet he gains even more. Another withholds unduly but comes

  471. to poverty. One person lives with an overflowing heart, another

  472. person lives with a selfish intention heart. And one lives

  473. with overflowing life, and the other one becomes impoverished in

  474. their life. It's what we do with our seed that matters.

  475. There was a time about a little over twelve years ago.

  476. It's more about thirteen years ago. I was dating someone,

  477. and I was dating someone who happened to come to church,

  478. and I was a young youth pastor at the time,

  479. and she had decided because she had relatively within the

  480. past year given her life to Christ and she had

  481. never been water baptized, which is what we're doing next Sunday.

  482. It's the next step of faith that believe in Jesus

  483. confess Him as Lord and Savior.

  484. The next step is.

  485. To publicly proclaim him as your savior through water baptism.

  486. And so she decides, I want to be water baptized.

  487. I said, man, that's fantastic. I happened to be one

  488. of the pastors that week that was baptizing, and so

  489. at that day we were doing it at Lososo's High

  490. School nearby, and so we rented out their pool for

  491. the day and there was about six of us pastors

  492. in the pool, and our elders and deacons were helping

  493. out with the lines, and we maybe had fifty or

  494. sixty people being baptized that day.

  495. And it's a true story.

  496. There's only a few times in my life that I

  497. feel like God has really spoken to me audibly, Okay,

  498. And that's one thing just to know as a believer.

  499. I've been in the faith a really long time. God

  500. doesn't audibly speak to me every single day.

  501. Okay.

  502. The Holy Spirit leads me with strong instinct. And the

  503. more time you spend with God's word, the clearer his

  504. voice begins. And so more so I know where God

  505. is leading me because I spend time with God. But

  506. there's a few times in your life. It's not that

  507. God's voice came out from the heavens like you read

  508. when Jesus was baptized. But it was without a shout

  509. of a doubt. I knew God had given me three things.

  510. In this moment, I'm sitting in the water. The girl

  511. I'm about to baptize is about four people down, and

  512. the voice of God threw my head immediately strongly goes,

  513. you cannot.

  514. Baptize this girl. I was like, what are you talking about?

  515. And I'm just sitting in there, and this thought just

  516. keeps repeating in my head and I know it's not

  517. my thought. She keeps repeating in my head. He says,

  518. you are supposed to end things with this girl, Like,

  519. what what are you talking about? So I'm sitting there

  520. and I'm like, I had no intuition going into that

  521. day that I was gonna break up with this girl.

  522. And so God goes, you are to break up with

  523. this girl. You cannot baptize her. And then I felt

  524. God say, because if you baptize her, when you break

  525. up with her tomorrow, you're gonna break her heart. Because

  526. there's gonna be something that's gonna happen when you baptize her.

  527. She's to give you credit for it. It's gonna be

  528. a whole thing. And so you cannot baptize her. I'm like, God,

  529. she's three people away.

  530. How am I supposed to do this? How do I

  531. tell it? No? No, no, no, don't get baptized with Get like, what? What?

  532. What am I supposed to do?

  533. So then I try to negotiate with God like all

  534. good Christians do. Is I said, Lord, how would I

  535. break up with her tomorrow?

  536. But you just protect her heart. I'll baptize her.

  537. You just give her some type of covering and then

  538. and then so when I ended tomorrow, she won't get hurt.

  539. So I'll for sure break up with her tomorrow.

  540. But I don't know how I'm supposed to do this

  541. without embarrassing her. The third thing that the Lord told

  542. me is you will baptize a woman one day and

  543. she will be your wife. And this is not the

  544. one which is odd because in theory, me being a

  545. pastor and me being a Christian for so long, I didn't.

  546. I didn't I didn't want to baptize a new believer

  547. in her being my wife, you know. I wanted someone

  548. to have been in the faith for whatever, and so

  549. I had this perception. So I'm like, God, that's odd

  550. that I wouldn't even.

  551. Have wanted this, you know.

  552. So in that situation, it comes to her, there's a

  553. girl right in front of her. I go to baptize her,

  554. the girl in front of the other girl, the girl

  555. that I'm dating.

  556. And when I.

  557. Baptize this girl, her weave falls off in the water.

  558. The whole thing.

  559. For anyone that's not black, her extensions, her, her her

  560. I don't want to say wig that's offensive, but.

  561. I know many of you are wearing them.

  562. But it's what black women wear. They you know, braid

  563. their hair and then they put either some extra hair

  564. or all new hair on top of their current hair.

  565. Because I see some people that aren't black. It's glazing

  566. over right now. It's just it's I married.

  567. A black woman. I learned very fast what this was

  568. when it would.

  569. Was laying around the house. You know, I've looked for

  570. my dog and'd be like, there he is. Oh, no,

  571. that's Ashley's hair. That's all the time how it is.

  572. Or I know when she walks up to me with

  573. just a pair of scissors, I know what that means.

  574. Get cutting, start cutting it off. So this girl, it

  575. wasn't a very tightly done weave, so and so any complaints,

  576. email them to Nathan at.

  577. So it falls off and.

  578. It all starts spreading in the pool, and this girl's

  579. so embarrassing.

  580. I said, oh, it's no problem. She's holding her.

  581. Hair and like this, and I said, let me get

  582. it for you.

  583. So I start collecting the hair for her.

  584. The girl I'm gonna baptize, who God has told me

  585. to end it with, is now waiting while everyone's getting

  586. baptized because this is taking a few minutes. And so

  587. finally one of the elders go, sweetie, you need to

  588. go to a new line and get baptized. And then

  589. I look up and she's like, no, I want to

  590. wait for Adam.

  591. And she goes, I remember this elder. She says, it.

  592. Don't matter who's baptizing you. It's between you and God

  593. moved and so she just she just she pushed her

  594. to the side, you know.

  595. And so I see her walking down the pool and

  596. she's looking at me. She's like what And I go,

  597. I know, isn't this isn't this crazy? You know? Like,

  598. is it this wild? Is this? I want to I

  599. want to baptize you. I can't but look look at

  600. all this hair. I can't. I can't do it.

  601. And so sure enough she gets baptized by someone else.

  602. And the next day I had I had no reason.

  603. Here's one of the worst ways to break up with

  604. somebody is because God told me. That's like, that's the

  605. worst excuse.

  606. That could have it.

  607. But this what this time it was true God had

  608. told me. Wasn't an excuse of trying to get out

  609. of it.

  610. Is God had literally told me, and I did it.

  611. I know why. I didn't know why God told me.

  612. We hadn't had any arguments or were any particular red

  613. flags that God was. It was just God had told me,

  614. and God had told me, one day you will baptize

  615. someone that will be your wife. It didn't make any

  616. sense to me, but I was obedient to God, and

  617. I sow a seed that God had told me to sew,

  618. which was to make room because one day he's gonna

  619. send me someone. And I'm a very lower person. If

  620. I was dating someone, I would have never looked at

  621. my wife's direction. I would have never looked in her direction.

  622. And so what happens is God creates space for me

  623. to be single, and for eleven months, I'm single. And

  624. it just so happened that at one time in twenty thirteen,

  625. her parents. Ashley's parents introduced us and says she used

  626. to work with special needs children, and I thought, oh,

  627. that's beautiful.

  628. I love that.

  629. That next Sunday, a mother who had a youth with

  630. autism signed her son up for youth camp, and none

  631. of our volunteers knew how to work with kids with

  632. special needs.

  633. And so I remember, not.

  634. Only what did I find Ashley attractive in the.

  635. Moment, not only did I know think she was pretty.

  636. And I thought she was cool and all these things

  637. like that. But I thought, that's right, I just met

  638. Tom and Betsy's daughter who works with me, and I

  639. need someone with that experience to go with us to

  640. this youth camp, and so I asked her to go

  641. with us. She came with us we kind of spoke

  642. two or three times leading up to it. We hung

  643. out one time with that with that teenager who had

  644. special needs, and I thought, man.

  645. She's really cool. But I had no inkling that this

  646. may go somewhere.

  647. But at youth camp, we always ended the weekend with baptisms.

  648. And we were done baptizing and we were all heading

  649. in and all of a sudden, one of the volunteers

  650. who was there said, I haven't been baptized since I

  651. was a child.

  652. I want to do it as an adult for the

  653. very first time.

  654. And sure enough, my wife walked out into the lake.

  655. It was just me and her, and I baptized her,

  656. and in that moment, I felt like the Lord said,

  657. this was the moment of the person that you were

  658. supposed to baptize.

  659. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe it. Now I

  660. want to encourage you that may not be your circumstance.

  661. Don't be walking around looking to baptize women all day

  662. long and stuff like that. But this was that exact weekend.

  663. On the bus ride home from the mountains the day

  664. after I baptized her, that was me And because at.

  665. That time I felt like Lord gave me peace.

  666. I even let her sit with me on the bus

  667. on the way down from the mountain like we were

  668. teenagers once again.

  669. But that was that exact moment.

  670. The next day, Here's what I know is if I

  671. didn't sow obedience, I would have never reaped the harvest

  672. of the marriage that I have today. If I chose

  673. my own intuition, if I chose my own seeds. It said,

  674. but God, this relationship seems fine. But God, she seems

  675. to be a Christian. But God, and I just added

  676. but all into it and forced my fruit from it.

  677. I wouldn't have harvested what I've hard misted ten years

  678. later in our marriage. It started with sowing a seed

  679. of obedience. I had no idea whether Ashley would be

  680. the one when we first met. I wasn't like, oh yeah, God,

  681. come from It was through steps of faith that eventually

  682. God has shown me I have reaped in my marriage

  683. what I sowed thirteen years ago. What we have to

  684. recognize is you will reap far more than what you sow.

  685. That is God's promise.

  686. When you sow obedience, and you sow seeds of obedience,

  687. then what is reaped of it is far more.

  688. And here's the last thought I want you to see.

  689. Is this.

  690. The harvest comes after the hustle. In other words, you

  691. reap after you sow.

  692. Because a lot of times what we'll do is we'll

  693. take this seed, we'll drop it in the soil, and

  694. then we'll go, Okay, God, next day, where's the fruit

  695. of this thing? Give me the fruit right now. And

  696. we think that sowing a thought is what bears fruit. No,

  697. sowing action is what bears fruit. Talk to people all

  698. the time.

  699. Well, I want to spend more time with God, but

  700. I'm looking for him to do blank. I want to

  701. be in a godly relationship, but I'm looking for him

  702. to do blank. I want God to be in my business,

  703. but I'm looking for him to do blank. I want

  704. God to be in my career, but I'm looking for him.

  705. To do blank. What we do is we think.

  706. I want to see the strawberries before I sow the

  707. strawberry seed.

  708. But that's not how it works. What do you do?

  709. You find good soil, which I pray the soils, good

  710. souls your heart, and then you sow that seed and

  711. then what happens is there becomes a.

  712. Season of maturity that has to happen where you have

  713. to water.

  714. That, where you have to give it some so in light,

  715. some sunlight, and you have to expose your heart to God,

  716. watering you, maturing you, growing you, building deep roots into

  717. your life.

  718. When you bear the fruit, it won't be about the fruit.

  719. It'll be about.

  720. The time period that God spent mature in your heart.

  721. But what we'll do is we'll say, God, I sowed it.

  722. I want to reap it today. God, I'm sowing into beyond.

  723. So tomorrow I need that answer. I can't promise the

  724. answer happens tomorrow.

  725. Can God do those things?

  726. Yes, But it's not about looking for the fruit immediately.

  727. When you sow, God has to take us through seasons.

  728. But when we know that God's law is God's law,

  729. then what will happen is is we know that you

  730. will reap a harvest greater than the seed that you sow, because.

  731. That is God's law. That's who God is.

  732. You know, there's a passage's powerful in Second Chronicles chapter sixteen.

  733. There's a king at the time in Second Chronicles named

  734. King Aesa. Now, the thing about King Asa is he

  735. was an extremely blessed king.

  736. God moved on his behalf.

  737. Regularly, he won so much wars it's crazy.

  738. At the time, the country.

  739. Was so wealthy. As a king, he was so wealthy.

  740. And what happened was is he needed to go into

  741. another war, another battle, but this time he was tired

  742. of fighting the battle. What he didn't realize was he

  743. never fought the battle on his own. He always fought

  744. it with God on his side. And he forgot that.

  745. And so he thinks to himself, what I'm gonna do

  746. is I'm going to hire a neighboring country to go

  747. fight the war for me. But that country never had

  748. the favor of God. That country never had the promises

  749. of God, and that country never had the army of God.

  750. But because he got lazy, but.

  751. Because he had money now and he could use his

  752. own influence and his own finances, he hires a militia

  753. from a neighboring country to fight his battle. And look

  754. what happens to Aesa Because then Hannanaiah, which is one

  755. of the prophets of the day, gets word of it,

  756. and he comes and rebukes Aesaw for what he did.

  757. But I want you to see the conversation that Hannah

  758. and Iyah trice to remind Asa that your blessings were

  759. not yours.

  760. They were always gods that were given to you. You

  761. never earned these blessings.

  762. God always trusted you with these blessings, and Asa forgot it.

  763. Want you to see a second chronicle sixteen, and we'll

  764. close with this thought. It says, then Asa took silver

  765. and gold from the treasures of the House of the

  766. Lord and the King's house and sent them to ben Hadad.

  767. King of Syria, who lives.

  768. In Damascus, saying, there is a covenant between me and you,

  769. as there was between my father and your father. Behold,

  770. I'm sending to you some money, silver and gold.

  771. Go break your.

  772. Covenant with Basha, King of Israel, that he may withdraw

  773. from me. At that time, Hannah and I, the Seer prophet,

  774. came to Asa, King of Judah, and said to him,

  775. because you relied on the King of Syria, not God,

  776. because you relied on the King of Syria, or because

  777. you relied on your own gifts, or because you relied

  778. on anything else that isn't God, your own talents, your

  779. own resources, your own character. You did not rely on

  780. the Lord, your God. You relied on something else that

  781. wasn't God. The army of the King of Syria has

  782. escaped you. And then he had fought in a battle

  783. with Ethiopians and Libyans, and he won it.

  784. And they were even bigger armies.

  785. And he says, were not the Ethiopians and the Libyans

  786. a huge army with very many chariots and horsemen. Yet

  787. because you relied on the Lord, he gave them into

  788. your hand. This is powerful right here, for the eyes

  789. of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth,

  790. looking to give strong support to those who are.

  791. Is blameless towards him.

  792. He says, God was looking to support you, Asa. God

  793. was looking to come on your behalf. God was looking

  794. to move on your behalf.

  795. God was looking to bless you Asa.

  796. But because you did not rely on the Lord, you

  797. relied on your own strength. He says, this, you have

  798. done foolishly in this. For now on you will have wars.

  799. Then Asa was angry with the seer and the prophet

  800. and put him stocks in prison, for he was enraged

  801. with him because of this, and Asa inflicted cruelties upon

  802. some of the people at the time.

  803. You see what happens is is a lot of times.

  804. Could it be that we find ourselves in a lot

  805. of wars because we're not sowing.

  806. The seeds that God has called us to sow.

  807. And for Asa, he was no longer relying on the

  808. Lord to fight his battles.

  809. He relied on.

  810. His own personal seed, his own personal money. Why should

  811. I fight a war when I have the money to

  812. pay off someone else to fight it for me? Well,

  813. because it was never about the war, is about showing

  814. the world that you rely on God when you're in war.

  815. And that's what Hanna and Ayah said. The judgment upon

  816. him came. It wasn't that he was fighting a war.

  817. It was that you got into a place, Asa, where

  818. you're no longer trusting God, and you're trusting yourself.

  819. You're trusting your own intellect.

  820. You're trusting your own talents, you're trusting your own ability

  821. in the workforce, you're trusting your own blessing. You're doing

  822. all that because you think it's yours and it's gotten

  823. to your head. And then he reminds Asa and says,

  824. every single day God's eyes look upon the world and

  825. he's looking for who would rely on him. And we

  826. have an opportunity that as we use our seed and

  827. our resources, and we sow our seed.

  828. What it is that you comes out of your mouth?

  829. What it is that you think, Where it is that

  830. you go, what it is that your hands touched, what

  831. it is that your feet go. All of those things

  832. are seed. It's all seed, and we will reap what

  833. it is that we see. So and Asa learned a

  834. very terrible lesson, which was the seed that he sowed

  835. with self reliance. And the moment he became self reliant,

  836. what happened? God said, my hand is not on you anymore.

  837. You will be fighting wars, but this time you will

  838. not be fighting wars with me.

  839. You will be fighting wars against me.

  840. And I will not be on your behalf in those wars,

  841. because I am looking for a blameless heart that is

  842. open for me to move into.

  843. That's what God tells him, And he.

  844. Says, Asa, you've corrupted your heart. I cannot help you

  845. any longer. And what was Aesa's reflection? His reflection was

  846. go to prison, Hananaya. I'm gonna kill you, and I'm

  847. gonna kill anyone else who identifies with his words?

  848. Where David? What happened with David When David as king

  849. made mistakes? What did he do?

  850. Psalms fifty one, God, I'm so sorry, forgive me, Lord,

  851. create in me a clean heart.

  852. In other words, purify my heart. I recognize, man.

  853. I have sowed some terrible seeds in my life.

  854. But God, cleanse it.

  855. Please purify my heart, please, because I've done wrong in

  856. your eyes. God is not looking for a perfect person,

  857. but what he is looking for as a person that

  858. has relied on him, rely on Him and strength even

  859. in your failures. When you catch yourself sowing the wrong seeds,

  860. grab those things and say, God, I sacrifice those seeds

  861. before you.

  862. I repent of those things. That is not something that

  863. I want. And guess what.

  864. God is faithful and just to forgive it, because he's

  865. a good and merciful God who is looking for what

  866. He said that God looks upon the earth, not for

  867. talented people, not for impressive people, not for blessed people.

  868. He said, He's looking for a blameless heart, a heart

  869. that is good soil so that God can sow into

  870. their life. And so I pray today that it's our life,

  871. that our seed of our life is sowed.

  872. Into God's kingdom in such a beautiful way that.

  873. Not only will we see a harvest in our day,

  874. but we will also see a harvest for a generation

  875. that you and I may never see. The next generation

  876. who will be raised up in the House of God,

  877. who will need a place to hear the word of God,

  878. learn the word of God, and be free by the

  879. word of God. And that's what we're doing as a

  880. church is we're creating space for God to move. Martin

  881. Luther King Junior said it like this. Faith is taking

  882. the first step, even when you don't see the whole staircase.

  883. A lot of times, what will say is God, show

  884. me the fruit first, and then all show some more seeds.

  885. But faith is not seeing it all in.

  886. A perfect picture. It's about one step after another step.

  887. That's why Sam says the word of God is a

  888. lamp to what our feet, not to our eyes, to

  889. our feet, because when you have a lamp that only

  890. lights your feet, you can only see one step ahead,

  891. and so you don't get caught up in what's in

  892. front of you, and so that you can trust God

  893. one more day, Trust God for one more afternoon, Trust

  894. God for one more hour, Trust God for one more week,

  895. Trust God for one more job, Trust God for one

  896. more marriage. You trust God for one more child. You

  897. could trust him one step at a time, and he's

  898. faithful and he's merciful, and he's a good God.

  899. At this time, I'm.

  900. Gonna pray for us today as we begin to leave

  901. here with one another. We're all gonna leave here with

  902. plenty of time, but we're gonna create some.

  903. Space just to worship like we did last week.

  904. And as you're here today, should the Lord call you

  905. and speak to you at any moment, if you'd like

  906. to sew into our miracle offering, I'll tell you this

  907. that in the House of God, as you look around

  908. with Patria is I pray you see that this is

  909. good soil, that the Lord is doing incredible work in

  910. the lives of people through this church and through this ministry,

  911. and as Patrio may be your home church, if you'd

  912. like to sew into the miracle offering, we're gonna just

  913. create some space and time during this song that we

  914. worship that if you'd like to fill out the card,

  915. if you have check, you can put it in there,

  916. and we're gonna have the vases once again at the

  917. front and you'll be able to place it in. But

  918. also you may prefer to do online like I do.

  919. This is also just a signifier. So, like I shared,

  920. our finance team is aware that if an envelope is empty,

  921. they know that you did it online and you're merely

  922. participated in this moment of worship and it is this

  923. is a sign that we're sowing seed into God to

  924. produce a harvest of people's lives. Have we shared before

  925. as a church, we don't want to build a big church.

  926. We want to build big people.

  927. It's not about the size of a church, it's about

  928. the size of the person.

  929. We want to build people that when.

  930. They look at goliaths like David, they said, my God

  931. has been faithful with the bears and the lions, so

  932. surely this giant is nothing. Those are the people. We're

  933. not looking at golias. We don't want to build golias.

  934. We want to build David's. They have seen God faithful

  935. in their life and they can fight any giant.

  936. That's what this church is doing.

  937. We want more people to be impact and reached so

  938. that God can speak to them and Jesus can reach

  939. them by the power of the Holy Spirit. So as

  940. we worship today, if you'd like to participate in this

  941. moment of sowing seed, You're more than welcome to otherwise

  942. still stay and worship with us because God is moving

  943. additionally in the same bases. If you haven't made a

  944. three year commitment, and you do want to make one,

  945. then you can still fill the card out which is

  946. in front of your seat, and you could drop it

  947. into the same vases and the team will separate it.

  948. But whether you participate.

  949. It with it or not, I just know that God

  950. is going to make an impact. And if you are

  951. going through some things financially today and this just isn't possible,

  952. then at the end of our worship, I'm even going

  953. to pray for you. I know where your heart is.

  954. I know that if you could, you would, and I

  955. agree with that. And so this is for those that

  956. believe God. I want to participate. I know I can sacrifice.

  957. I talked to someone in our church and they said,

  958. we're not renewing our Disney passes. We're taking everything we

  959. pay monthly for Disney passes and we're putting it into

  960. the Beyond campaign. That's a sacrifice, but that also is

  961. a recognize that it's from overflow as well, and so

  962. that's the beauty of giving an offering.

  963. There're ties and then there's offerings.

  964. What we're doing today is we're sowing and offering, and

  965. what we're gonna believe God for the next three years

  966. is to make a deeper impact.

  967. And so I'm gonna do a short prayer.

  968. Now, I'm gonna pray at the end for everybody, but

  969. we're gonna pray, and then we're gonna worship one time,

  970. and then whenever you're ready, feel free to come forward

  971. and sow in this moment and we'll leave here together. God,

  972. I pray in this moment as we so seed of sacrifice.

  973. Father God, I pray Lord that the harvest would be

  974. greater than anything that we preach, in anything that we do,

  975. in any way that our lives live. Father God, I

  976. know Lord that you are doing something spiritually in the

  977. heart of America, in the heart of California. Lord, I

  978. pray that if there is a revival, if there's an awakening.

  979. For Lord, may we be a part of that.

  980. Father God, May we preach Jesus in such a way

  981. that is clear that the word of God is convicting,

  982. that it brings people to the loving knowledge and grace

  983. of Jesus Christ, Lord, I pray in what we're doing

  984. here today. May we see a harvest one year from now,

  985. two years from now, five years from now that.

  986. Will lead people to Jesus.

  987. I pray for the next generation of children and youth

  988. that will come to love you. Know you inserve you

  989. because of the hearts of sacrifice that's happening today. We

  990. thank you, Lord, as we worship you in this moment

  991. in Jesus name.

  992. Amen. Whenever you feel ready, feel free to come on

  993. up right now.

  994. We trust your wor.

  995. We trust your walking around these walls.

  996. I fucked by nolvd fall, but you have never failed me,

1041. We thank you for your promises.

  1042. Lord.

1043. I thank you God that have you been moving in

1044. this house God, across all of our campuses.

1045. Father God, we believe God that you're at work. Lord.

1046. We know that you're a working rancho and all the

1047. surrounding area of Father God, in the entire Inland Empire. Lord,

1048. we know you aren't working Corona, Pomona and Alameda. Father God,

1049. we know there is more work to do. We know

1050. there is more people to be reached, Father God. We

1051. know there's more transformation of the Word of God and

1052. Jesus Christ and people's lives. Lord, I thank you for

1053. the sacrifice today. Lord, I thank you for those that

1054. are committed to the vision, Father God, and even those

1055. who want to be committed but are going through their

1056. own financial season. Father God, I pray Lord that as

  1057. we learn today, it's a.

1058. Matter of the heart. Father, So you know who's in it.

1059. Lord, You know whether someone is in a season financially

1060. where they can't do it, but you know their heart

  1061. is there.

1062. That if they could, they would.

1063. I know, God, they will harvest the same thing God,

1064. because it's not a matter of the size of the gift, but.

1065. The matter of the heart of the gift. Lord.

1066. So Lord, I pray today, Father God, for increased opportunities

1067. for every person. Father God, I pray that you open

1068. up doors in their career. Lord, I pray you open

1069. up doors in their business.

  1070. Father God.

1071. I pray Lord that they will step into meetings that

1072. were about promotions that they didn't expect. Father God, I

1073. pray Lord that you will bring resources into their hands

1074. like they've never seen before. Father God, I pray Lord

1075. that you increase gift capacity.

  1076. God.

1077. I pray that you give people wisdom Lord, who are

1078. in management positions. Father God, that you may be able to,

1079. as your word says, to stand out and not blend in.

1080. Father God, I pray Lord for every person if they.

1081. Have a LinkedIn Father God, Man, that'd be the best

  1082. LinkedIn profile ever created.

1083. Lord made people come across that LinkedIn.

1084. And say, Oh, this person stands out. There's something special

1085. about this person. I like their experience or I like

1086. what they've accomplished. But more than that, God, may they

1087. see Jesus in every single person. Father God, may the

1088. wisdom of God surround every person. Father, as we poor seed, Lord,

1089. you are the one who brings about the harvest today,

1090. Father God, so I pray Lord, for the next three years,

1091. that it be a harvest season like we never dreamed them.

1092. Father God, I pray and I thank you Lord, that

1093. you do something in Patriot today.

1094. Father God, your spirit has been moving. God. We thank

1095. you for your faithfulness. And I pray if there's anyone

1096. that's here today and they not made Jesus Christ their

1097. personal Lord and Savior, if you're ready to make a

1098. decision today to follow Jesus, I encourage you in this

1099. moment as we say a prayer together.

1100. God is already at work in your heart. This prayer

1101. affirms the Holy Spirit's move right now. Would you join

1102. me in saying, Dear Lord Jesus, in this moment, I

1103. confess you as Lord and Savior.

1104. I believe in my heart that you rose three days later.

1105. This stay forward. I choose to follow you for the

1106. rest of my days in Jesus' name. Amen. Can we

1107. give the Lord a handclap today?
