  1. All right, all right, Patriot Rancho, how are we feeling

  2. feeling good? It's good to be in church. If we

  3. haven't met, my name is Aaron. I'm one of the

  4. pastors here on staff and honor to be entrusted to

  5. be a part of the Joshua series. And if you're

  6. brand new or we have these journals in the book.

  7. Matter of fact, I was praying for a specific group

  8. of people now by run of applause, who came to

  9. some of our weekend experiences for Easter.

  10. Okay, now do me your favor.

  11. If it was your first time coming to Patriot on

  12. Easter weekend and you came this Wednesday, could you raise

  13. your hand your first Wow? Wow, look at you, Look

  14. at God Church. That is amazing. Thank you for being here.

  15. I have a gift for five of you.

  16. So if you want, I have some Joshua journy knows

  17. for you.

  18. The first five people that come up here. The first

  19. time you came was Easter, but you came on Wednesday night.

  20. Let's give her a round of applause. Here's your Joshua journal. Okay, okay, one, two, three, four, five, six, Okay,

  21. I'm gonna give you one. After service I know you personally,

  22. I'll give you one after service.

  23. Here you go, here you go, here, you go, absolutely here,

  24. take your pen, Take your pen.

  25. Thank you so much, Thank you so much for being

  26. a part of our church. Somebody remind me I have

  27. one more to give away.

  28. Why do I do that? Because reading the.

  29. Bible changed my life, it'll change your life. WILL give

  30. you one right after service, so we're gonna have seven.

  31. So we got two more to give.

  32. So reading the Bible can change your life. And what

  33. I want to encourage us all to do is lean

  34. in tonight because tonight can be transformational. Now, if you're

  35. newer to the series, we've been in every single week

  36. we've been going through Joshua, we're already in Joshua six.

  37. Can you believe that? Now?

  38. If I could reduce this sermon to one phrase, I

  39. would say, the Lord will give you a word to

  40. walk out for warfare. The Lord will give you a

  41. word to walk out for warfare. And what I want

  42. to do is just show you we're gonna be in

  43. fourteen verses tonight. But on the front end, I'm just

  44. gonna show you how we're gonna put it in chunks.

  45. Because part of the reason why we're in this series

  46. is because not only are we learning from the sermons,

  47. we're actually learning how to have our own devotionals as well.

  48. And I like putting the Bible into little chunks, and

  49. verses one through five will be word, versus six through

  50. nine will be walk, Verses ten through fourteen will be warfare.

  51. And that's how we're gonna do it tonight. And what

  52. I want to encourage you is lean in. I believe

  53. tonight can be transformational. Let's all stand to our feet.

  54. We're gonna read Joshua six one through five, and then

  55. we're gonna jump right in. I'll be reading from ESV. Now,

  56. Jericho was shut up inside and outside because of the

  57. people of Israel. None went out and none came in.

  58. And the Lord said to Joshua, see everybody, say see,

  59. I have given Jericho into your hand, with its king

  60. and its mighty men of valor.

  61. Now I want us to do something together.

  62. Every time we see the word shall, I'm not gonna

  63. say it, We'll say it as a community.

  64. Okay.

  65. Verse three, you march around the city, and the men

  66. of war going around.

  67. The city once. Thus gotta stay on the rhythms, stay

  68. on the rhythm.

  69. Thus you do for six days, seven priests bear seven

  70. trumpets of rams horns.

  71. Before the ark.

  72. On the seventh day, you march around the city seven times,

  73. and the priests blow the trumpets. And when they make

  74. a long blast with the rams horn, when you hear

  75. the sound of the trumpet, then all the people shout

  76. with a great shout, and the wall of the city

  77. will fall down flat, and the people go up, everyone

  78. straight before him. Heavenly Father, thank you for your word.

  79. Thank you that you spoke to Joshua, and you're speaking

  80. to us as a community, but you're also speaking to

  81. us individually.

  82. God, get me out of the way.

  83. I thank you that tonight it'll feel like I'm having

  84. one on ones with people. Holy Spirit, connect your word

  85. to people's situations right now. But use your word to

  86. elevate us above our situations.

  87. Give us your power, your clarity. In Jesus name, we

  88. pray a man you may be seated.

  89. The reason why I wanted to do that is be

  90. because I pay attention to when words are repeated in

  91. the Bible. Now, notice here it says he said to Joshua,

  92. and the first thing he said to Joshua was see

  93. and that gives a pattern on how the Lord communicates

  94. with us. The way that the Lord communicates with us

  95. is he first gives us a vision for victory. So

  96. he said to Joshua, see, I want you to see.

  97. I want you to picture yourself as a winner. I

  98. want you to picture yourself that is already defeated, You

  99. already won. So the way that God communicates is I

  100. want you to see that you already have it. But

  101. the sea is connected to the shalls. Now, how many

  102. seas were there?

  103. One? How many shalls? Seven?

  104. Seven means completion in the world of God. So here's

  105. what God does. I'm gonna inspire you by showing you

  106. some thing. I want you to see something, and that's gonna.

  107. Give you inspiration.

  108. But I have these seven shows that are instructions. So

  109. in order for us to digest the word of God,

  110. we got to have inspiration and instruction. We can't just

  111. live a life of inspiration. But it's great that God

  112. started with that vision, but he gives detailed instruction on.

  113. How he's going to win.

  114. I have a chart on the screen just to drive

  115. this more clearly. If you look here, if you look

  116. at the inspiration, one phrase but it's seven instructions.

  117. In order on how.

  118. Joshua is gonna see that victory come to pass.

  119. You guys got that picture in your mind?

  120. One see seven shows. And there's so many times in

  121. my life or I just want to live in inspiration.

  122. I just want God to show me something new. But

  123. God is like, I want you to show something now.

  124. And what if the next new thing that God has

  125. for you is connected to the last thing God.

  126. Told you to do.

  127. Yes, You're gonna see it if you shall it. So

  128. there's so many times in my life. God, I want

  129. to see a good marriage. One need to focus on.

  130. I shall go on date nights. I shall forgive, I

  131. shall stop bringing up the past. I shall speak life

  132. over my spouse. I want to see my kids healed.

  133. I shall be healed. I shall go to counseling. I

  134. shall model example ship.

  135. I want to see no debt.

  136. Shall budget, I shall tithe, I shall be generous. So

  137. it's one thing to see it, it's another thing to

  138. shout it. And what God is trying to show us

  139. here is that I want to show us something, but

  140. I want to be in partnership with you. So when

  141. it happens that God gets the glory. I think today,

  142. if you look on social media, we just want to

  143. see something.

  144. What's the enspo?

  145. And a lot of times when I look on social

  146. media and church, sometimes it's like a lot about deliverance. Well,

  147. this person got delivered last Sunday, he gets delivered this Sunday,

  148. got delivered next Sunday.

  149. And it's like wait, wait, wait wait, could.

  150. It be that we just want to see something? Now?

  151. I believe in deliverance, but deliverance prepares us for discipleship,

  152. and once we're discipled, those habits that we have in

  153. place could prevent us from needing to be delivered.

  154. Again.

  155. Want to see something, but I don't want to show something.

  156. I give you an example.

  157. I love playing Legos with my daughters, and when we

  158. get Legos, there should be a picture on the screen

  159. that just shows what it will be. If you open

  160. this up, this is what you will see. Now, was

  161. this inside of the Lego box? So somebody said no,

  162. but well it is. But you got to follow some instructions.

  163. And there's been so many times in my life where

  164. I pray for wanting to see something in Jesus' name

  165. a man, and my expectation is I pull it out

  166. and say, God, you're good because I prayed for it.

  167. God said, I shall see and I don't have to

  168. do any work for it to come to pass. And

  169. now everybody looking at me, look at me go because

  170. I see.

  171. It and I have it.

  172. Now.

  173. Is this how life works?

  174. But sometimes in our prayer life we wish it would

  175. because he said it in his words, So why doesn't

  176. it look like this? Now here's what it really looks

  177. like when you first pull it out.

  178. The first thing is.

  179. Like, wait, these bags items and I've got this instructions.

  180. Now now I'm bored. Now I'm overwhelmed because I just

  181. want to see this.

  182. But God gets his glory when I'm patient enough to

  183. look at his instructions long enough to look at pieces

  184. of my life. And as those pieces come together, it'll

  185. build something beautiful. God timing God's terms. That's why it's

  186. insequential order. If you look at these pieces, notice that

  187. they're in order. But sometimes in life I be trying

  188. to skip steps. Sometimes in life, you know what I'm

  189. gonna be.

  190. I'm gonna be real with you. I don't like looking

  191. at instructions. Tell me if you do this, well, okay,

  192. I want.

  193. This body, and then I just go to YouTube and

  194. I try to see somebody else putting it together. I

  195. did that with a Rubik's cue, But what ends up happening?

  196. Sometimes we do that in the spiritual too. I don't

  197. need to look in the Bible. I just need to

  198. look at somebody else's faith and patter my calling based

  199. upon their calling. The problem with that is comparison.

  200. So we see somebody with their.

  201. Ferrari and it's like, I want to have a Ferrari

  202. right now, But we don't know the work and the

  203. role that it took for that person to get what

  204. they have.

  205. And we need to be content.

  206. We're our own calling that God has for us as

  207. we look at the instructions that God has for us.

  208. Breaking it down further, Joshua would know this all the

  209. way from Joshua chapter one because he had a leader, Moses.

  210. And if we look at verses six through eight, look

  211. what it says here, be strong and courageous, for you

  212. are the one who will lead these people to possess

  213. the land.

  214. That's inspiration.

  215. You're gonna be a great leader and you're gonna have

  216. land that I swear the ancestors will give them, Be

  217. strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the

  218. instructions Moses gave you, don't deviate from them, turning either

  219. to the right or to the left. Then you will

  220. be successful in everything you do. Study this book of

  221. instruction continually.

  222. You will come back to that word.

  223. Meditate on it day and night, so you will be

  224. sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will

  225. you prosper and succeed in all you do. And the

  226. way that God communicates is in patterns. Hey, I want

  227. you to see something. You're gonna be a great leader.

  228. You're gonna have land, but you gotta follow the instructions

  229. of the Lord and your leader.

  230. And see, now, I lost some of us because some

  231. of us are okay, you know I'll follow the Lord.

  232. I ain't following my leader.

  233. If we look at the scripture, follow the instructions Moses.

  234. The convicted felon.

  235. If you don't know Moses' story, you can look at

  236. Exodus two through four. How it starts. He had a

  237. rough patch. He ended up being a great leader. And

  238. God will test our humility if we're following instructions.

  239. Of the Lord and our leader.

  240. You don't know if You're submitted to your leader until

  241. there's disagreement.

  242. And what Joshua needs to learn right now is.

  243. I'm gonna have you give commands to an army, but

  244. the fruit of that is how you followed Moses. And

  245. some people I can't get my team to listen to me.

  246. How do you honor your leader?

  247. Because the way that you honor your leader will be

  248. the way that you will be entrusted with honor. But

  249. some of you may be thinking, well, I'm not Joshua.

  250. I'm not a leader yet. I just started coming to church.

  251. So what do we do if we don't hear a

  252. word from the Lord yet? Well, that's why I love

  253. Joshua being in sequential order. For the last few weeks

  254. we were in Joshua five. You could go to our YouTube.

  255. You'll see a sermon from Pastor Sammy and Pastor Diego.

  256. But the way that I saw this when I read

  257. Joshua five, it was about self care, and Joshua six

  258. is about warfare. And God will always have us take

  259. care of ourself to prepare us for warfare, because if

  260. we don't know self care before warfare, we'll go back

  261. to the previous habits that we had. So if we don't,

  262. how do I get to a place in my life

  263. where I could be like Joshua and get a word

  264. from the Lord and get inspiration. Well, I have a

  265. recap of Joshua five on the screens.

  266. The first thing we.

  267. Gotta do is we got to kill our flesh.

  268. Notice this in Joshua five chapter two.

  269. What ends up happening is they crossed the Jordan, and

  270. now Jericho was nervous, and then the Lord says, hey,

  271. make some knives, and then the warriors probably that cool.

  272. We gonna make some knives to take out our enemies. No,

  273. make knives to kill your flesh.

  274. Circumcision word. I thought, I'm gonna take out my enemy.

  275. You can't take out your enemy until.

  276. You know how to die of your own flesh. And

  277. I wonder what things in our life that we have

  278. to die too prior to hearing the word of the Lord.

  279. The second thing, change your diet.

  280. I'm with you. I promise something with too.

  281. Man They used to manna, then frosted flakes, and now

  282. when they move forward, now they got to eat from

  283. the produce of the land, the fruit of the land.

  284. I wonder what appetites that we have that we pay

  285. attention to that prevent us from hearing the word of

  286. the Lord. And what God is saying, self care is important.

  287. Let's kill our flesh, Let's change our diet, and let's

  288. serve the Lord verse thirteen through fifteen. After he changed

  289. his diet, after he was circumcised, the Lord appears and

  290. he gets down in worships, and he says, Lord, your

  291. servant is here creating an environment for the Lord to speak.

  292. So if we want a word from the Lord.

  293. Those might be areas that we could check up in

  294. our own life, because the Lord will give us a word,

  295. so we can walk. Point number two is walk. Let's

  296. look at verse six through nine. Us was the son

  297. of None called the priests and said to them, take

  298. up the ark of the Covenant, and let seven priests

  299. bear seven trumpets of the ramshorns before the ark of

  300. the Lord.

  301. And he said to the people, go.

  302. Forward, march around the city, and let the arm men

  303. pass on before the ark of the Lord. And just

  304. as Joshua had commanded the people, the seventh priests bearing

  305. the seven trumpets of ramshorns before the Lord went forward,

  306. blowing the trumpets with the ark of the covenant of

  307. the Lord following them. The armed men were walking before

  308. the priests who were blowing the trumpets, and the rear

  309. guard was walking after the dark while the trumpets blew continually.

  310. Let's talk about this for a moment.

  311. The word is for us to walk. Now, what does

  312. walk mean? Walk means follow Jesus. Follow Jesus means being obedient.

  313. But here's the reality.

  314. Obedience to God many times is foolishness to man. The

  315. Christian life is about unlearning. So it's like, God, I

  316. trust you that you've forgiven me for my sins, but

  317. I still got the same homies, the same group text,

  318. the same music playlist, the same So how do I navigate?

  319. How do I walk this thing out? And then when

  320. we try to walk this thing out, then.

  321. The homies that we have around is why are you

  322. doing all that? They don't take all that. Why are

  323. you changing your schedule?

  324. Because when we start being obedient to God, you'll look

  325. like a fool to certain people.

  326. There's two things I want to bring to our attention.

  327. And verse seven it says go forward, march around the city.

  328. Wait which one is it? God? You want me to

  329. go forward? Or do you want me to go in circles.

  330. Both because sometimes in the natural you may feel like

  331. you're going in circles, but in the spiritual you're still

  332. moving forward. See, there's times in my life where I

  333. need to pray, I need to fast, I need to

  334. change my attitude, I need to change certain things, and

  335. I still don't see nothing change in the natural. So

  336. it's like I tried that, I tried praying, I tried fasting,

  337. and I didn't move forward.

  338. You know what that was.

  339. I wasn't consulting the Lord on his timing. I was

  340. staying on my timing. And there's certain times in our

  341. life where in the Kingdom of God we're actually moving forward,

  342. but because we can't see results yet, we feel like

  343. we're moving in circles, in circles and circles.

  344. But will we be.

  345. Disciplined enough and will we be patient enough to do

  346. what God has told us to do even when.

  347. We don't see the results yet?

  348. Second thing, the armed men were walking, can we find

  349. something more for them to do? I mean they're armed,

  350. they're warriors, they trained for this moment. And what do

  351. you do when you're gifted to do something but God's

  352. not asking for your gifting. He's asking for your surrender.

  353. What are you doing?

  354. You're ready for war, but God's just calling you to walk.

  355. Let's make this, let's make this very practical.

  356. Are you guys all in the Lord's army? Okay?

  357. So this role play online. I want you to lock

  358. in with me. I'm gonna act like I'm Joshua. Okay,

  359. I'm a commander. I'm tough. So when I give you

  360. guys a command, you guys say yes sir. You guys ready, Yeah, Online,

  361. you're gonna type yes sir. All right, I'm gonna lock

  362. in men and women of God. You guys ready for war.

  363. You've done your drills, you have your weapons, bandanas, all right.

  364. We've been working hard. I've heard from God.

  365. I want everybody get your guns, your knives, bandanas, grenades,

  366. put them on.

  367. But before we go to Jericho, let's stop at the mall.

  368. And when everybody gets some walking shoes. You can get Adidas, Hookahs,

  369. New Balance. Just no sketchers. Over a multi generational. If

  370. you got sketchers, your grandfathered in.

  371. But you're gonna take all your army gear and we're

  372. just gonna walk in circles.

  373. Are you with me?

  374. Are you with me?

  375. Let's walk? Now? What are you thinking in this moment?

  376. What in the world is he talking about?

  377. We done these jumping Jackson push ups. I got grenades

  378. in my pocket.

  379. I'm not a walker, I'm a warrior. Why isn't God

  380. using me how I'm supposed to be used? And sometimes

  381. God is calling us to walk something out and it

  382. makes no sense to us. But could it be that

  383. that's practice in discipline for our next assignment. What if

  384. it ain't even about all your military training. What if

  385. it was about the discipline necessary to hear God for warfare.

  386. But if you picture all the stuff that we practice

  387. in private, and we get these moments to showcase who

  388. we are, and all God calls us to do is walk,

  389. will you walk with joy?

  390. Thank you?

  391. You know. Ephesians chapter six talks about this because this

  392. doesn't just apply to Joshua.

  393. This applies to us if you look at it.

  394. Ephesians chapter six, verse ten through thirteen, it says, finally,

  395. be strong in the Lord and in the strength of

  396. his mind. Put on the whole armor of God, that

  397. you may be able to stand against the schemes of

  398. the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,

  399. but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic

  400. powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of.

  401. Evil in the heavenly places.

  402. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you

  403. may be able to withstand in the evil day. And

  404. having done all stand, we are to put on the

  405. armor of God now so we can flex how strong

  406. we are, so we can already stand victorious in who

  407. He is. There's a quote here by Tony Evans. It says,

  408. victory and spiritual warfare is not about trying harder. It's

  409. about standing firm and what Christ has already done. And

  410. when we can stand firm and what Christ has already done,

  411. we can walk in love. We can walk in freedom,

  412. we can walk in forgiveness, we can walk in humility,

  413. trusting the one who fights our battle. It doesn't matter

  414. how skilled we are, it matters how surrendered we are.

  415. So God to give us a word.

  416. So we can walk it out for warfare.

  417. Here's the moment.

  418. We're gonna finish chapter six next week, and we're going

  419. to set up the beginning of warfare.

  420. Now.

  421. Verse ten, Joshua commanded the people you shall not shout

  422. or make your voice heard, neither shall any word go

  423. out of your mouth until the day that I tell

  424. you to shout. It's kind of like when I'm talking

  425. to Trinity, my daughter, then you shall shout. So we

  426. caused the arc of the Lord to circle the city,

  427. going around it once, and they came into the camp

  428. and spent night in the camp. Then Joshua rose early

  429. in the morning, and the priest took up the ark

  430. of the Lord, and the seventh priests, bearing the seven

  431. trumpets of ramshorns before the Ark of the Lord walked

  432. on and they blew the trumpets continually, and the armed

  433. men were walking before them, and the rear guard was

  434. walking after the Ark of the Lord while the trumpets

  435. blew continually. And the second day they marched around the

  436. city once and returned into the camp.

  437. So they did for six days.

  438. We define what walking is, Walking is following Jesus.

  439. Walking is being obedient.

  440. So then what's a practical definition of spiritual warfare. Spiritual

  441. warfare is continued obedience under attack. You don't start being

  442. obedient when you're in warfare. We're following Jesus, and as

  443. we're following Jesus, we get under attack. So while we're

  444. under attack, we continue to follow Jesus and not go

  445. back to old habits.

  446. That's warfare.

  447. But there's three words that I want to emphasize that

  448. we see here that we can learn about warfare.

  449. Mouth, camp and continually.

  450. And I wrote this down in my journal and I'll

  451. share it with you because I have to do this.

  452. We need a camp that tells us to shut up

  453. our mouth and continue whenever we're in warfare. One of

  454. the easiest things to do with complain.

  455. That's the warfare shutting our mouth.

  456. Because sometimes we're praying, we're fasting, but we're still complaining,

  457. we're still gossiping, we're singing worship to the Lord, but

  458. cursing out our neighbor. It's the pressure, it's the things

  459. that are going on on the inside of us. And God,

  460. I'm trying to follow you, but I'm.

  461. So angry right now. And sometimes we just gotta be

  462. silent and let God fight our battles.

  463. So notice how Joshua says, Hey, I've heard from the God.

  464. We're gonna walk, and as we walk, don't complain, don't murmur,

  465. because it's so tempting when we're following Jesus, and it

  466. doesn't make sense. Have you ever been in a meeting

  467. with somebody and your leader says something and you get

  468. not You're trying to get aye contact with somebody.

  469. Like do you hear what he said?

  470. You start sitting in the text, but you're like, you're

  471. still in the meeting, but you're sitting in the tech.

  472. This is stupid.

  473. Why are we doing? And see, Joshua knew that God

  474. knows that he doesn't want us.

  475. To be compliant and complaining.

  476. He wants us to follow him with a joyful heart.

  477. So one of the hardest things.

  478. To do is I'm following Jesus and i'm because I'm

  479. not ready to speak yet because if I speak, I'm

  480. gonna mess this up. And if I speak, I'm influence

  481. others to complain.

  482. Hey, did you see? Or we do it like Christians? Man,

  483. we gotta pray. Let me tell you what happened. Pray

  484. by yourself.

  485. But when you in the when you're in the camp,

  486. let's not complain. And we need people and in the

  487. camp that looks at this, you still complaining about your

  488. on the same thing.

  489. Did you forgive your spouse or not? Hey, let's talk

  490. about what moving forward looks like.

  491. Hey, control your mouth, and we gotta have people that

  492. love us but aren't impressed by us. We gotta have

  493. people in our life that were scared to sit in

  494. front of So that way, when we're trying to walk

  495. these things out and we get attacked, we don't complain

  496. or we don't use our mouth to embellish or say

  497. all these things that don't make sense. People that know

  498. me now in my circle, they say, Aaron, you don't

  499. talk much.

  500. Well, I have so many years of just like talking

  501. too much.

  502. The more I read the Book of Proverbs, the more

  503. you just taught me shut up, be a listener Proverbs seventeen.

  504. Look at that if you want.

  505. I'll give you an example from my life. This was

  506. over twenty years ago, and I just talked too much.

  507. I was making man pay, but I had a boy mindset.

  508. I was probably about twenty two.

  509. Twenty three years old, I think, and making a lot

  510. of money. I'm working in Pomona in a call center,

  511. and I already knew man, they're about to make me

  512. the regional vice president, so I might as well get

  513. settled here. And they were building these new homes in

  514. Pomona and in.

  515. These new homes in Pomona.

  516. The way that they would inspire you when you would

  517. come in and try to see about the house, they

  518. would give you the blueprints. So I would keep these

  519. blueprints in my condo and then I say, you know what,

  520. says I'm trying to make more money to get this house.

  521. What I did was I plastered these blueprints in my

  522. office and I tried to have it as inspiration on this.

  523. Is what you're working hard for. Now, here's the problem.

  524. I would have these blueprints and then people will come

  525. in my office, Oh what are those? Oh you know

  526. what I'm saying, I'm about to buy this brand new house.

  527. You feel me? Just put the blueprints up. Let's put

  528. the blueprints soup. I'd be like, you know what, that's

  529. gonna be mine. I'm at the master bedroom and we're

  530. gonna have a pool party. It's gonna be popping.

  531. You're gonna wanna pull up and I'm about to drop

  532. this rap album, probably be platinum by that time, so

  533. you probably want to be up there. I'm just talking.

  534. And people, Hey, well you need a roommate. Oh you

  535. want you want to live with me? Okay, well, we

  536. got to talk about it.

  537. And I'm arguing with people on who's gonna get the

  538. master bedroom?

  539. Who can I'm not even.

  540. Talking to banks, but I'm talking to people.

  541. About what I'm about to do. Now we go to

  542. work with these blueprints.

  543. Because I'm about to beat this hollown I'm about to

  544. get a brand new house.

  545. People are gonna come through and see how rich I am.

  546. Don't we do that sometimes on social media?

  547. This is what I'm about to do.

  548. I'm about to do this business, and this business is gonna.

  549. Change the world. What we're doing something and there's nothing

  550. wrong with that.

  551. But Luke fourteen says, count the cost because you don't

  552. want to be considered somebody that talks about all the

  553. plans and doesn't finish them. And that was me walking

  554. around with blueprints when God was looking for my footprints.

  555. Will you walk this thing out that I can trust

  556. you at a home?

  557. But I love the way it felt when people would

  558. be impressed by what I was about to do instead

  559. of just being in private and having obedience and humility

  560. training is having your blueprints in private, but your footprints

  561. in public. We don't have to show everybody what we

  562. about to do. But when we pray, we can talk

  563. to God about the desires of our hearts. In Psalm

  564. thirty seven, verse for says, delight yourself in the Lord.

  565. He'll give you the desires of your heart.

  566. But it's in that order, because once we delight ourselves

  567. in the Lord, he changes the pallet of our heart.

  568. So what we desire is Him, and once we have Him,

  569. we have everything.

  570. You know.

  571. Before I conclude, I want to put these things on

  572. the screen. I wrote these in my journal and I

  573. think they'll be beneficial to us as a community. When

  574. we were verse ten through fourteen, here's how I would

  575. summarize some tips to do in spiritual warfare. Control your mouth.

  576. Now it's in your because it was to Aaron Levy,

  577. so I wrote it like how I wrote it to me, Aaron.

  578. Control your mouth, guardigans, complaining and premature declarations. Commit to community,

  579. stay with the camp, not isolated. Continue in obedience. Don't

  580. quit just because you don't see the walls falling yet.

  581. Whenever we face something in our life.

  582. God to give us a word.

  583. We've got to walk that thing out.

  584. And as we're.

  585. Walking it out, there will be warfare, but we'll surround

  586. ourselves with our patriot community. That's why we have neighborhood groups,

  587. so that way, when you're in warfare, you're not in

  588. warfare alone. So as I conclude, I want to give

  589. everybody an invitation. You may know church, but that's not

  590. my question. My question is do you know Jesus. I'm

  591. a church professional. I can't count how many church services

  592. I've ever been to, but I live decades of my

  593. life ignoring the word of God. And I'm a living

  594. testimony that no matter how far you are from Christ,

  595. God's love will reach you where you're at and just say, hey,

  596. here's a word, let's start working, let's just start walking here.

  597. It was on my heart to pray for those that

  598. came for the first time on Easter and came back

  599. that Wednesday, because that's my story.

  600. Fifteen years ago.

  601. I will come here the very back with my family

  602. Easter of twenty ten and Pastor Diego will be on

  603. stage and he said, hey, come to church for the

  604. next year straight and see what God to do in

  605. your life. And I said, I'm coming that next Wednesday.

  606. And I never forget that sermon series he did. It

  607. was called Christian Atheist that I knew all the Christian terms,

  608. but my lifestyle didn't look like or believe in Jesus.

  609. So I was praying for you, specifically for those that

  610. you came on Easter and you came back on Wednesday.

  611. God loves you as is.

  612. You don't have to change anything about yourself to be loved,

  613. but his love is so influential you'll want to change

  614. so you can honor him and be more like him.

  615. There's some of you that have been coming to Patria

  616. for a while. You love the vibes, you love the worship,

  617. you love the word. It's cool, But have you surrendered your.

  618. Life to Jesus yet.

  619. Here's what I can tell you. Church services won't save you.

  620. The blood of Jesus will. There is a God who

  621. loves you so much that he sent his son Jesus

  622. to die on the cross and take the penalty that

  623. we all deserve.

  624. And once we believe that in our heart, we.

  625. Experience freedom that we don't have to improve from all

  626. we've done in the past. We can confess that, give

  627. that to our Lord and walk with him. Everyone in

  628. this room has that opportunity to start that or continue that.

  629. When we looked at Joshua. It kept saying the word

  630. continue continually, continually. There's some of you that started walking

  631. with Jesus, then you start walking the pain of life,

  632. the confusion, the situations, the relationships cause us to stray

  633. instead of following Jesus. We might have started following some

  634. other pursuits. But tonight you're reminded that if God can

  635. talk to Joshua, he could talk to me. There's some

  636. things that you learn tonight that you say, you know what,

  637. I'm grabbing that for me. It's an invitation for you

  638. tonight to give your life back to Jesus, rededicate your life,

  639. continue on the faith journey. You're already on the way

  640. to heaven, but your life will start looking different as

  641. you walk in following Jesus.

  642. I'm gonna ask everybody to close their eyes for a moment.

  643. Online, and I would love for you to just lock

  644. in with me, please. I'm going to ask everybody to

  645. say this prayer together as a community to encourage those

  646. that are praying this prayer.

  647. For the first time.

  648. You're going to start your faith journey with Jesus, and

  649. it has nothing to do with what you've done. Is

  650. everything that Jesus has done for you, but you're going

  651. to continue and surrender to him.

  652. There's a second group of you.

  653. You're going to say this prayer out loud as a declaration.

  654. I'm moving forward.

  655. I will take Jesus seriously.

  656. I will get in his word.

  657. I'm gonna walk with him even when there's warfare.

  658. And I want us all.

  659. To repeat this prayer together to encourage those that are

  660. praying this prayer.

  661. Say this with me.

  662. Please say, dear Lord Jesus, I believe that you died

  663. on the cross for all of my sin. I receive

  664. your forgiveness for this moment forward.

  665. You are my savior and my Lord.

  666. Teach me to trust you, give me a desire for

  667. your word.

  668. Surround me with people that point me to you. In

  669. Jesus name, we pray. It's all open our eyes.

  670. Patreo is a safe place and there are people right

  671. now in this community that are praying for this moment.

  672. I'm gonna ask.

  673. That if you prayed that prayer for the first time

  674. to give your life to Jesus, or you pray that

  675. prayer to rededicate your life to Jesus.

  676. On the counter three, I'm gonna ask you to raise

  677. your hand bold.

  678. That moment was for me and we just want to

  679. celebrate you because we're family and online. If that's you

  680. as well, please just give me a hand emoji.

  681. You're just a part of this moment as well.

  682. On the counter of three, to give your life to

  683. Jesus or to continue your life with Jesus.

  684. One two, let's do this for Christ.

  685. One two three, go ahead and raise your hand high.

  686. Raise your hand high. Come on church, let's celebrate. Keep

  687. your hands high, keep your hands high. One two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty,

  688. twenty one, twenty two, twenty three, twenty four, twenty five,

  689. twenty six, twenty seven, twenty eight, twenty nine. Thank you Jesus, hallelujah.

  690. So many more people online. Glory to God.

  691. We serve a risen king that's still saving souls. People

  692. are still on their way to heaven. Jesus is still

  693. on the throne.

  694. So pumped. I love Jesus and he loves you.

  695. Man.

  696. I'm happy.

  697. Hey, Hey, thank you, thank you God, Thank you God,

  698. thank you God.

  699. Hey, if you just gave your life to Christ. I

  700. just want to encourage you. It's not like your life's

  701. gonna get easier.

  702. It's just like you have a best friend that created

  703. the world, that has your back at all times. So

  704. the more time you spend with him and people that

  705. spend time with him, the sayer your be. So my

  706. challenge is come Sunday or Saturday Saturday six pm, Sunday

  707. nine am eleven am. Just stay connected and just getting

  708. reps and coming to church.

  709. Take notes. Take one thing somebody said, get in the

  710. scripture and try to live that out. Ask questions.

  711. The reason why I'm emotional is because God did that

  712. for me, and I'm just so honored that we get

  713. to do that for other people. Hey, if you said

  714. that prayer, you go to visit www dot grow dot faith.

  715. There's a book by our founding pastor that we want

  716. to put in your hand. We want to teach you

  717. how to just walk this faith journey out. Also, if

  718. you want to be a part of our church community,

  719. it's all about next steps, not next Sunday.

  720. It's next steps.

  721. So maybe your next step is growth track. Every Sunday

  722. at nine o'clock, we teach you about our vision and

  723. our values, but most importantly about you. Now, God loves

  724. you and designed you to make a difference in this world.

  725. So you can go to our website and you can

  726. register for that class. Or you can go out in

  727. the in the in the fourier, ask anybody what a

  728. family shirt about?

  729. What growth track is? Amen? Let's all stand to our feet.

  730. Were you guys blessed by today's service? God is good.

  731. If you need specific prayer, there'll be a prayer team

  732. that'll pray for you.

  733. I pray generally and you'll be dismissed.

  734. Heavenly Father, thank you so much for what you're continuing

  735. to do with your word.

  736. Thank you for saving souls.

  737. Now I pray in the name of Jesus for discipleship.

  738. Lord.

  739. People were raising hands, and I thank you for the

  740. leaders in this church that we're looking at the hands

  741. raised and saying I got her, I got him. I

  742. pray that no old body does Christianity alone in this church.

  743. That we live up to this name. Family. In Jesus' name,

  744. we pray. Hey, man, God bless you. You're dismissed. Thank

  745. you so much.
