  1. Praise God.

  2. Thank you all those that consider Patriot your home church

  3. and you partner with us through your generosity. Man Pastor

  4. Kenny's not in here, but if he was, I'd tell

  5. him that was an excellent generosity moment that had a

  6. boy had your brother tearing up for a second, like

  7. I already gave this much, but I was like should

  8. I double down?

  9. That was beautiful? But also you might have saw a

  10. quick little video.

  11. We have an orphanage and Uganda that we just supplied

  12. all for back to school.

  13. Our entire orphanage we support.

  14. Back to school shoes, so they all got brand new

  15. crocs and it was just delivered to them this past

  16. week by one of the missionaries that's there, and so

  17. your generosity helps support that. As our missionaries let us

  18. know what the needs are, we're able to contribute and

  19. fulfill those needs.

  20. And we may not always.

  21. Share with you every project that we do, but we'd

  22. be here all day for service if we always shared

  23. every project that we were involved with. But we do

  24. like to as much as possible be able to show

  25. you what you're giving goes to and an impact. We

  26. can look around and see what God does throughout our campus.

  27. But also it happens all throughout the nations as well.

  28. I'm excited as we are about to jump into the

  29. Word of God. And if you're new here and you

  30. don't know who I am, my name is Adam and

  31. I'm the lead pastor of Patreon. I'm excited to be

  32. able to share with you today. And I know this

  33. is Saturday service, and so I know that tends to

  34. be a little bit more of the quieter service, more

  35. of the reserve service. Okay, and that's okay, but I'm

  36. gonna invite you tonight that usually for service, we receive

  37. right as the word is going forth, we sit down

  38. and we take notes or we take pictures of the

  39. slides on the screens or whatever that is. But we've

  40. intentionally this weekend created space to have a portion at

  41. the end where we also respond. Over this next past

  42. three weeks, starting last week to this week and next week,

  43. we've been breaking down a little bit about who Patria is,

  44. doing a series called Patria means Family and simply simply put,

  45. our name just means family. And we've been sharing for

  46. many people that are new to our church, what our

  47. church values, what our church believes in, what's our mission,

  48. and we've been walking through some growth track steps and

  49. this is just a little bite sized size, a little

  50. bite sized size of our growth track, but also today

  51. our forward experience as well as we've been walking through

  52. what our growth track process is. Kind of like last week,

  53. one of the things we identified is that we're all

  54. part of God's family, that through Jesus, you and I

  55. are given an invitation through the Cross of Christ, through

  56. his death, barrel resurrection, that God is willing to adopt

  57. anyone that would follow his son.

  58. And we saw that last week when.

  59. We shared about a little bit about if we get

  60. adopted into God's house, then the kingdom is his house

  61. and it's his rules. So we're going to continue a

  62. little bit today through our Ephesians chapter three, our normal

  63. verse that we've looked at.

  64. That's our church's verse as our structures.

  65. So if you have a Bible, would you turn briefly

  66. to Ephesians chapter three, And if you don't, today, I'll

  67. have it up on the screen for us as well.

  68. Here at Patriot we stand for the honor of reading

  69. God's word just to give the Lord our full attention.

  70. So if you would join us for a moment this

  71. is what we covered last week. But we're gonna dig

  72. deeper this week, and then we're gonna dig even more

  73. deeper next week. I want you to see what the

  74. Word of God says in Ephesians, chapter three, verse fourteen

  75. to twenty one.

  76. Here's what the scripture says.

  77. For this reason, I bow my means before the Father,

  78. from whom every family that's patriot in heaven and on

  79. earth is named, that according to the riches of His glory,

  80. he might grant you to be strengthened with power through

  81. His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may

  82. dwell in.

  83. Your hearts through faith, that you.

  84. Being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to

  85. comprehend with all the saints, all the saints. What is

  86. the breath and length, and height and depth to know

  87. the love of Christ that surpasses all knowledge?

  88. That you, being filled with all the fullness of God.

  89. Now to Him who is able to do far more,

  90. abundantly more than anything we ask or think, according to

  91. the power at work within us. To Him be the

  92. glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus, throughout all generations,

  93. forever and ever a man, you may be seated.

  94. What I love.

  95. Last week is we covered God's house his rules. But

  96. we'll dig deeper just for a few moments today, because

  97. what we're gonna acknowledge is what happens is.

  98. Verse fourteen and fifteen.

  99. The apostle Paul in the Book of Ephesians makes an

  100. invitation that says, if you are willing to surrender your

  101. life to Christ, then he says, what happens is if

  102. you bow your knees. Bowing our knees is a place

  103. of submission, and it says, I bow my knees before

  104. the Father from whom every family in heaven on earth

  105. is named. In other words, you and I are adopted

  106. by God through submission to the work of Jesus.

  107. But here's what precedes those statements.

  108. What precedes those statements are two powerful things, because a

  109. lot of times when we are adopted into the family

  110. of God, one of the first struggles you and I

  111. will have is our identity.

  112. It's who's am I?

  113. Am I the worlds?

  114. Or am I God's?

  115. And so immediately when you say yes to Christ, many

  116. of us will step into a battlefield of the mind,

  117. the battlefield of the soul, that will pull you apart

  118. as you're trying to now identify as a child of God.

  119. It's almost like being born into an impoverished state, and

  120. then all of a sudden, you get adopted into a

  121. house where there's a bed, and you have your own bedroom,

  122. and you have a fridge that you could go in

  123. whenever you want, but instead you choose to sleep on

  124. the floor because you haven't fully received. I'm in a

  125. new place, I'm in a new season, I'm a new creation.

  126. So I love what precedes, because then.

  127. What happens is you will see the apostle Paul will

  128. emphasize two incredible things.

  129. The two incredible things he'll emphasize.

  130. Number one is God's love for you will surpass your

  131. own understanding.

  132. So he says identity trick.

  133. Number one, God's love will surpass what you think love is.

  134. And then he says, and then what will happen Verse

  135. twenty number two. What will happen is God is able

  136. to do far more, abundantly more than anything you ask

  137. or think, according to the power that works within us. So,

  138. in other words, God can love you beyond your comprehension.

  139. And also God can do in your life more than

  140. you could ever ask or think. This immediately speaks to

  141. our identity. But if we ask ourselves, well, how do

  142. I step into Idaniel? How do I walk? Because I

  143. feel like I'm not I feel like I struggle, I

  144. feel like I sin all the time. I feel like

  145. I'm addicted to things. I feel like I have unforgiveness

  146. and areas. I feel like I'm angry about some things.

  147. I'm angry about my mother or father, how I was raised.

  148. I'm upset about the house situation that I'm in, or

  149. the marriage that I'm in, or I'm angry towards God

  150. about the things that happened to me in my childhood

  151. or in my young adult years.

  152. And so how can I walk in this fullness? Well,

  153. that's what we're gonna walk and.

  154. Talk about a little bit today because if you remember

  155. last week, I shared a little bit about how many

  156. of you guys have grown up in different home circumstances

  157. with different house rules, and everybody grew up with different

  158. house rules. Well, I'll share you one of the things

  159. that would be God's house rules. So if you and

  160. I walked into God's house rules, he would actually be

  161. one of the people that said, hey, no shoes in

  162. the house. In fact, God don't even want your socks

  163. on in the house.

  164. How do I know that?

  165. Go to the book of Exodus, when Moses encounters the

  166. burning bush. What's the first thing, Yahweh tells him take

  167. off your sandals. This is holy ground, which means your

  168. toes need to be touching the surface. But what happens

  169. when you and I go in God's house and he says,

  170. and remember when I say house, I'm not just talking

  171. about the four walls of a church building. I'm talking

  172. about his kingdom. I'm talking about being adopted into his family.

  173. And what happens is when you and I walk into

  174. his house and he says, hey, take.

  175. Your shoes off.

  176. Your first instinct is, but what if my feet stink?

  177. Or what if my socks got holes in them? Or

  178. actually I didn't know I was gonna have to take

  179. my shoes off, and I wore two different socks, and

  180. so I don't want to be embarrassed. And a lot

  181. of times when you and I get into the presence

  182. of God, we don't realize that as children of God,

  183. he wants your shoes off.

  184. He wants you and I to get naked with him.

  185. He wants you and I to get real with him

  186. and roll with him with all your junk, all your baggage,

  187. all your pain, all your hardship. But a lot of

  188. times we go, Lord, want I.

  189. Don't want to take my shoes off?

  190. Can I be your child?

  191. And can I can? They're nice, they're Jordans. I just

  192. bottom or their fresh sucks. I promise I only warmed

  193. to that. I just pulled them out the back. Please

  194. let me keep on. I don't want you to see

  195. my toes. I don't want you to see my brokenness.

  196. But if you and I are gonna be true children

  197. of God and we're gonna walk into the identity God

  198. has called us in, that.

  199. We have to take off our shoes.

  200. How many of you guys have ever grown up in

  201. the household that grandma had the plastic coverings over the couches.

  202. Did anyone have grandma like that plastic over the couches.

  203. It's like, man, ain't no one messing up my couch.

  204. In fact, it just went viral last week that a grandma,

  205. after one hundred years old, her kids convinced her, her

  206. great grandchildren convinced her to take the plastic off her couch.

  207. And this is the first time that she sat on

  208. her couch in fifty years without the plastic on, and

  209. if you go and see the video, she is deeply

  210. uncomfortable with sitting on that couch. But she said, hey,

  211. I made it to one hundred. You know it is

  212. what it is. Now, I'll sit on the couch. And

  213. a lot of times what we want to do is

  214. we want to put this plastic covering around us, and

  215. we want to go into the presence of God, and

  216. we want to take our squeaky cleanness and we want

  217. to be able.

  218. To cover ourselves.

  219. But what God's willing to say is he says, I

  220. see the stains beyond the plastic.

  221. I see the brokenness.

  222. You putting a plastic you getting saved, and then going Okay,

  223. now I'm gonna put the plastic on.

  224. No, we have to go through a deep.

  225. Cleaning process where God can begin to purchase, God can

  226. begin to pay for purifies. But a lot of times

  227. we just say Lord, no, just I'm gonna go as

  228. I am. And then I'm just gonna cover myself up

  229. and I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna say Hallelujah, Amen,

  230. I'm gonna say bless the Lord and I'm gonna put

  231. on fancier clothes when I go to church, but I

  232. don't want to expose or show anyone these stains that

  233. I carry, So I'm a cover it.

  234. What God wants to do is he wants.

  235. Us to just expose ourselves so that God can speak

  236. to your identity. And so what happens is God invites

  237. us into his house. He's not just asking us to

  238. take off our shoes and leave the dirt outside. He's

  239. reminding us that his house has a name, and that

  240. name he gives us has identity. Paul says, for this reason,

  241. I bow my knees before the Father, from every family

  242. in heaven on earth is named. And in other words,

  243. before we talk about what we do, we have to

  244. know who we are. Identity comes before activity, being comes

  245. before doing, and truth comes before opinion. And the first

  246. truth we need to settle deep in our spirit is this.

  247. You and I are children of God. That's where identity begins.

  248. So I want to just share with you for a

  249. moment the truth about identity. The truth about identity means

  250. being named by the Father means your identity is not

  251. man made, it's God given. Your identity is given by

  252. the Lord, which means this. You're not who you're past

  253. says you are. You are not who culture says you are.

  254. You are who God says you are. You're not defined

  255. by a world's label of truth. You're not defined by

  256. a neighbor's label of truth, a family member's label of truth.

  257. You are defined by God's, which is a child.

  258. Tim Keller says this, our identity is not achieved, it's received.

  259. You don't work for identity in God.

  260. You're not a child trying to work up to please

  261. the Father to get his attention.

  262. You have already received his spirit.

  263. You have received his grace, you've received his mercy. The

  264. problem is is we are struggling with that truth because

  265. we're comparing our past life notes with the current life

  266. word of God, and we're seeing that there is some

  267. type of dis imbalance from that God. My pastor's no

  268. way it makes sense with what you could do with me,

  269. and we don't walk in that truth. Before Jesus ever

  270. worked a miracle, the Father said to Jesus, this is

  271. my son whom I'm well pleased. Jesus hadn't done anything yet,

  272. no miracle, no sermon, no ministry. The Father and Jesus's baptism,

  273. they came and he said, this is my son, who

  274. am I'm well pleased. But before Saytan tempted and he

  275. began with if you are God's son, the Father's son.

  276. The first thing the enemy tried to do with Jesus

  277. is prove your identity to me. And he began to

  278. tempt Jesus and try to get Jesus to prove it.

  279. But if you know, Jesus didn't play that game of

  280. having to prove that he was the son of Man

  281. and the son of God. Identity is always the first

  282. thing the enemy attacks. When you and I become children

  283. of God, we become part of the family of God,

  284. like we just read in Ephesians three, and we become.

  285. Adopted in the household of God.

  286. And Philippians chapter three says that you and I our

  287. citizenship is in heaven, it's not here on earth. When

  288. you respond to the call of God in your life,

  289. to respond to the Gospel of Jesus, to believe in

  290. the death, bear and resurrection, you become a citizen, which

  291. means you get kind of like a heavenly passport. Has

  292. anyone here got a passport of some kind? Whether it's

  293. of the United States or another nation. Here's what I

  294. know that's unique about passports is when you go to

  295. another country, especially as an American, in other countries, we

  296. have what's called US embassies in those countries, and in

  297. those countries, like in fact, I've been to Paris before

  298. and I've seen that there's a right on the main

  299. road of the Shamstalyze, there is a large US embassy

  300. and there are American military soldiers guarding in Paris the

  301. US embassy. And what I've been told before when I've

  302. gotten my passport on on other occasions.

  303. They will say this. They will say, if.

  304. You are traveling internationally, not only is this passport for

  305. you to get into the country, it is for you

  306. to get access to our embassies when you are in

  307. other countries, so that you can be represented, so that

  308. you could be protected, and.

  309. So that you could be covered.

  310. Here's some things that US embassies can do in another

  311. nation that you can go to.

  312. It can replace a new passport.

  313. If you lose your passport in another country, the US

  314. embassy can replace it for you, which means you're not

  315. out of luck. You're not like, oh, I gotta live

  316. in this country forever now I lost my passport.

  317. No, it's emergency help.

  318. If you get arrested, if someone commits a crime on you,

  319. if you have a medical emergency, if you need an evacuation,

  320. your US embassy will help you with that. If you

  321. need a lotery or a legal service, you're a US embassy.

  322. Let's just say you do something illegal in another country

  323. and they start coming after you. You have your representation

  324. at your US embassy. You can register your child's birth abroad.

  325. Let's just say you go pregnant somewhere and you have

  326. a baby there. You US Embassy says, hey, let's make

  327. sure your child's still a citizen back home so they

  328. can get back in the country. They serve you in

  329. that way. They have vista questions, Christis safety, They have

  330. death abroad assistance. They have a list of doctors, lawyers,

  331. and translators for you in case you get stuck welfare

  332. checks if family cannot reach you. You see, when you

  333. have a US embassy as a citizen, it means you

  334. have direct access to.

  335. Your home country.

  336. And when you and I receive Jesus and received the

  337. Spirit of God, it's the spirit of God that gives

  338. you direct access to the Kingdom of Heaven and to

  339. the Father.

  340. But a lot of times.

  341. We won't go to the Father, we won't identify our.

  342. Identity as children of God.

  343. So instead we stay in a foreign nation, in a

  344. secular world, in a broken place, in a broken house,

  345. and a broken this and a broken that, and we

  346. just think of ourselves. I'm stuck here, I can't get out.

  347. I lost my passport. You didn't lose your passport. Even

  348. if your faith wanes, even if you find yourself back

  349. in the world, there is always a place to get.

  350. Back to the Father.

  351. You may say, oh, I think I lost God because

  352. I did this last night.

  353. Or I did that a week ago.

  354. You didn't.

  355. All you did for a moment is lose your passport.

  356. But that doesn't prove your citizenship. That just proves your

  357. identity for one moment if someone asks. But you can

  358. always get an access if you're a citizen of Heaven

  359. and you and I have access before God. But here's

  360. what will happen with the last few moments I have

  361. and I'm gonna invite us to respond today. What will

  362. happen is if when we're not living in the identity

  363. that God has placed in our lives. What will happen

  364. is either before this, in the middle of our faith

  365. or you know, wherever our faith is.

  366. The enemy will try to steal your identity.

  367. He'll try to perform an identity thefth on your life.

  368. And so there's the truth that we know of God's identity.

  369. That's truth.

  370. But what wi happen is is the enemy, as we've

  371. seen time and time again. Book of Revelation says he

  372. is the great Serpent, the father of lies is Satan,

  373. will try to lie over your life, to corrupt your identity,

  374. to rob you of your identity. The enemy wins if

  375. he can convince you that you are not a son

  376. and daughter of God.

  377. He has corrupted you.

  378. If you think that you have to earn your relationship

  379. with God, you do not earn it, you receive it.

  380. So what does the enemy try to do? Well, what

  381. the enemy will try to do and we do this

  382. our forward experience and teach us. The enemy will try

  383. to create a sabotage cycle over your life. And here's

  384. what the sabotage cycle looks like. What will happen is

  385. there will be an event in your life. So just

  386. think of an event in your life that's broken you.

  387. That could be an absentee parent, could be something that

  388. happened to you in your childhood. That could be someone

  389. who's robbed you, someone that took something from you, someone

  390. that took your decency in a time in your life,

  391. you yourself.

  392. An event happens to you.

  393. Someone gives you a smoke of of something for the

  394. first time, or a hit of something for the first time,

  395. or a drink of something for the first time. It's

  396. an event. And if something happens to you, But what

  397. happens next a lie? You believe something false about yourself

  398. or about God because of that event.

  399. It locks you into a lie.

  400. With a lie could look like this, Well, I'm only

  401. happy when I'm doing this, I'm only fulfilled when I'm

  402. doing this.

  403. I only have purpose when I'm engaging with this.

  404. I only feel better about myself when I'm cussing like this,

  405. or yelling like this, or hating like this, or gossiping

  406. like this or judging like this. Is it's a lie

  407. that says or it says this, I'm fine, but it's God.

  408. God did this to me, or God should have prevented

  409. this from happening from me. So Therefore, it keeps you

  410. from this lie, keeps you from a relationship with God,

  411. and it keeps you in a sin, in a habit,

  412. in a hated place, in an angry place. Here's the

  413. next thing. Your reaction. Now you respond to it out

  414. of pain or fear. You continue to double down, You

  415. continue to engage more, you continue to isolate more, you

  416. continue to hate more, unforgive more. And your reaction and

  417. then what happens a response You were reinforced the lie,

  418. and the cycle continues.

  419. In other words, when an opportunity.

  420. Comes and God wants to speak identity in your life,

  421. you say no, I'm not worthy of God, or I'm

  422. angry at God. So therefore, when times get hard, I

  423. get back in the cycle. I pick it back up again.

  424. I start doing it again, I start reacting the same way.

  425. And there's a point in your life that he said,

  426. I think I know better. I think I'm sitting in

  427. church and God's word is revealing more. But because it's

  428. a cycle, our response keeps engaging with our brokenness, because

  429. we haven't broken this sabotage. But what God wants to

  430. do when we can recognize our identity in him, is

  431. he wants.

  432. To bring freedom in your life.

  433. He was to bring deliverance in your life. He doesn't

  434. want you walking around with unforgiveness. He doesn't want you

  435. walking around with addiction. He doesn't want you walking around

  436. with pain, hate, torment, regret from past.

  437. What he does not want.

  438. His freedom is available, His mercy is new every single day.

  439. God doesn't want to keep us there. He wants to

  440. give us freedom. And many of us you may see here,

  441. nig You're like, there's some things that I need freedom from,

  442. some things that I Here's what I want to do

  443. because I want us to see what's going on in

  444. our church, whether someone's watching online in the courtyarder cafe.

  445. Here, here's what I want to do. For just a moment.

  446. I have someone on the screen, and if you pull

  447. your smartphone out, if you like to engage with me,

  448. you can.

  449. Here's what I want to do right now, is you

  450. could do one of two things.

  451. You can either scan that QR code up in the

  452. top left hand corner, or you can go to slide

  453. oh dot com and then I want you to type

  454. that number in. If you scan the QR code, it'll

  455. take you straight in. If you'd go to slideo dot com.

  456. Type the number, then it'll get you in. And I

  457. just want you there. You see already people answering what

  458. what do you need freedom from? And I just want

  459. to see You're gonna see it's live happening. You're gonna

  460. see people participating right now. And what happens is is

  461. people are jumping in.

  462. I want you to.

  463. I want you to just keep going, keep typing it

  464. in and what happens You're gonna we're gonna start seeing

  465. our community what do people need freedom from?

  466. And there's a bit typing You're gonna start to see

  467. it come in and what happens is share it. And

  468. I mean you could get deep with us.

  469. I mean you could put put pornography, put smoking, put

  470. like you can get real. You there may be something

  471. a molestation that's happened to you. Are you said I

  472. want freedom from a sexual moment? Like you, you can

  473. be honest with us and continue to put that in

  474. because we believe in the.

  475. Realness of God.

  476. Were wanna take our shoes off, We'll say God, this

  477. is my feet, this is me. And what you're gonna

  478. see is you're gonna see on the top is you're

  479. gonna see the commonality of everyone in this room, everyone

  480. participating in the courtyard of what we're responding with. So

  481. you're gonna see people eleven people need freedom from anger.

  482. Thirteen people need freedom from anger. Nine people need free

  483. ten people need freedom from stress. Five, six people need

  484. freedom from the past. Five people need freedom from worry.

  485. Five people need freedom from people. They want to move

  486. on an island or whatever that is.

  487. I'll join you.

  488. Freedom from fear, self doubt, anxiety, anger, fifteen. You see

  489. what happens is is we begin to engage, we can

  490. start to identify what it is that I need freedom from.

  491. And what happens is is as we identify, we'll see

  492. in a few moments, as we continue to add and

  493. you'll see, Look how many people that participate. We've almost

  494. two hundred people that have already participated and already on

  495. here past traumas, worry, the idea of failing in my marriage.

  496. There's imposter syndrome. We need free How many of you

  497. guys can agree? Two hundred people engaging?

  498. We need freedom? Right, we need freedom? Why do we

  499. stay in it? Let me show you this.

  500. Here's some core lies we believe, some core lies we

  501. believe is this I'm not enough. I'll always be alone,

  502. I'll never be free. God can use others, but not me.

  503. We believe these things all the time. Neil Anderson says

  504. it like this. When we believe lies about ourselves, we

  505. live lies about ourselves. When we believe these lies, we

  506. live them out. How can I break this sabotage cycle?

  507. According to God's word and according to God's spirit, I'm

  508. gonna make it as simple as I can with these

  509. few moments.

  510. Then I'm gonna invite us to respond.

  511. If you're looking and you want to go God, I'm

  512. ready to go into freedom. I want to take steps

  513. of freedom. Then I'm gonna encourage us to respond in

  514. just a few moments. But how do I break this

  515. sabotage cycle? Here's the first thing I gotta do. The

  516. first thing I gotta do is I gotta confess the

  517. name out loud. Well, guess what I already helped y'

  518. all do that Step one's done.

  519. You shared with us.

  520. You confessed it that Sometimes that is the heart. The

  521. first step is the hardest thing to do, and you

  522. didn't even know that.

  523. You just did it right now. You confessed it. So

  524. that's the first thing.

  525. Name it out loud, anger, unforgiveness, addiction, stress, people, fear,

  526. self doubt. You got shared it with us, and so

  527. you've confessed it. The next thing you do is you

  528. break the cycle. You refuse to rehearse it. I gotta

  529. stop repeating themselves over me. I gotta stop. Every time

  530. I get stress or times get hard, I go back

  531. to living in that moment. I gotta stop rehearsing it

  532. in my head. I gotta stop rehearsing that moment that

  533. brought me to this in my head.

  534. The next thing is believe or receive the truth. There

  535. we go.

  536. It must be a typo, but that's okay. Receive the truth.

  537. Replace it with God's word. What does God's word say?

  538. So here's where you do a little bit of homework.

  539. If you're dealing with anger, go into God's word and

  540. start to learn about anger.

  541. Start to learn how God can heal anger.

  542. If you're stress, go into God's word and learn about it.

  543. Learn about stress. How can I overcome stress? If it's fear,

  544. how do I start to read God's word and start

  545. to confess that. In two thousand and eight, when Pastor

  546. Diego got stage four cancer, one of the things he

  547. did first because he needed God's healing. He would recite

  548. two hundred healing verses every single day because what he

  549. wasn't doing is he wasn't necessarily naming and claiming it.

  550. What he was doing is throughout his day when pain

  551. would hit, he would say, Oh, did the cancer get

  552. me now? Or did this happen now? Or does this

  553. happen now? So, as he's reciting healing versus, what he's

  554. saying is, I'm not gonna allow the rehearsal of my

  555. fear to happen in my head. I'm gonna allow God's

  556. word to be the loudest voice that I'm a child

  557. of God that through Jesus stripes, I'm healed. And so

  558. what you're not doing is acting like there's some type of.

  559. Miracle drug on the verse.

  560. What you're saying is you're saying God, as loud as

  561. my pain may be, God's word can be louder because

  562. God's word is actually transformative.

  563. It can change what do we do. We receive the truth.

  564. And then the last thing is you step into your

  565. identity in Christ, you walk it out daily. You respond

  566. to God in worship, You respond to God in praise

  567. just tonight. If you're looking for God for freedom from something,

  568. I just want to encourage you goard to the Lord tonight,

  569. laying in your bed and say, God, thank you for

  570. freeing me from blank you praise God. You don't, you don't,

  571. You don't become a skeptic of God and say, oh,

  572. let me wake up tomorrow and see if someone makes

  573. me mad, to see if I'm free from anger.

  574. No, you gotta walk it out.

  575. In fact, God may give you opportunities to get angry

  576. to see if it's been sealed. You know that may happen,

  577. or the enemy may try to throw a hell Mary.

  578. And what we gotta do is we gotta we gotta

  579. walk in it. And just because you get angry once

  580. again doesn't mean that God hasn't delivered you. If it

  581. means that you are in the process of God, of

  582. his healing, of your saying dification, I want to encourage

  583. you to walk in it. I'll close with this. In

  584. the louver there once stood a huge painting. It was

  585. called Checkmate by Frederick August Wrights. It showed kind of the.

  586. Do we have a picture of it?

  587. You guys got the picture?

  588. Can we can we put up so on the left

  589. it shows it shows the that's supposed to be like

  590. the devil, and he's smirking, and the guy on the

  591. right he's stressed. And the painter kind of did it

  592. as as a trick because at first glance, what appears

  593. is there's a checkmate. So he labeled the painting checkmate,

  594. and there's a grimace of the devil looking at the

  595. man that he just checkmated in, but there's an angel

  596. in the background peering over the man's shoulder. It was

  597. kind of like a trick painting. He never told people

  598. what the actual meaning was. You look at it and

  599. you go, oh, the satan. The devil checkmated this man.

  600. He overcame him in some type of way, and so

  601. people for many years thought it was like a story

  602. that the man lost the game with the devil.

  603. But one day a master chess player was.

  604. In the louver and he looked at the board and

  605. he noticed that the appearance was a checkmate, but actually

  606. there was still one move on the table for the man,

  607. and what appeared to be a checkmate. What the painter

  608. was trying to say is if you pay attention enough,

  609. you'll see that the young man still has one more

  610. move to make, and the next move that's set up

  611. is a checkmate against the devil.

  612. Because he had one more move. And I just want

  613. to encourage you.

  614. There's times in your life where you think the devil's

  615. got you, you think Satan one, you think the enemy

  616. has got one.

  617. Over your head. But there's always one more move. There's

  618. always one more move. God's always got one more move.

  619. Satan will never checkmate you because we serve a God,

  620. and we serve a king named Jesus that sits.

  621. At the right hand of the and he intercedes for you.

  622. There's still one more move. Are you willing to make

  623. the move? Are you willing to make the move?

  624. Because you can identify that you need freedom, But are

  625. you willing to make the move? Are you willing to

  626. confess it and say, God, I need freedom from this.

  627. I need freedom from an adultery. I need freedom from pain,

  628. I need freedom from addiction, I need freedom from habit

  629. I need freedom from fear, I need freedom from anger.

  630. Whatever it is, are you willing to make the move.

  631. There's a lot of times our pride will be like.

  632. Don't make the move, don't do that, just sit there,

  633. just be defeated.

  634. It's easier that way, it's more comfortable that way.

  635. You can make more excuses in that position.

  636. What happens is if you will step into God's healing,

  637. then what will happen is you will see the freedom

  638. that God has intended for a child of his Roman

  639. Chapter eight says, therefore there is now no condemnation for

  640. those that are in Christ, Jesus that the law of

  641. the spirit, the law is death, but the spirit is life.

  642. There's no condemnation for those that are in Christ.

  643. Jesus.

  644. There is no place for you to feel condemned. If

  645. you are a child of God. Take your shoes off

  646. before God and show them, show him your brokenness, show

  647. him your pain, and I'll tell you this, He is

  648. willing to heal it. If we will kneel before God

  649. and say, Jesus, I receive your healing. I confess it today,

  650. and I won't let the enemy steal my identity any longer.

  651. Today you have an opportunity to go to the embassy

  652. of Heaven and say, God, my identity has been stolen,

  653. but I want it back, and I'm here to ask

  654. for it back, and I'm here to walk with you

  655. So would you guys join me for a moment, and

  656. would you stand for just a second. We got plenty

  657. of time. We're gonna leave here together, plenty of time.

  658. We made the message shorter so that we could just respond.

  659. I'm gonna ask the worship team to come on up here.

  660. I'm gonna invite us as we begin to worship, I

  661. want you to take a step towards freedom. So for everyone,

  662. that may look like something different. Some of you may

  663. want to come to the all and lay down or

  664. put your hands up. Some of you, guys may just

  665. want to lift your hands in your seat and sing

  666. with us. But there are special occasions where God's word

  667. will come and cover you.

  668. And then it's time.

  669. For us to respond, not just to receive, to respond,

  670. say God, I need freedom.

  671. And what you will see is there's a story and

  672. acts where when.

  673. Two of the disciples were in prison that began to

  674. worship and the chains began to fail and the.

  675. Prison gate opened. When you and I begin.

  676. To worship, the chains can fall down, the prison doors

  677. can open, You can walk in freedom. Are you willing

  678. to worship God? Are you willing to submit to God

  679. and say God, this is what I need today.

  680. I respond, I've been broken, I've been hurt. I need freedom.

  681. Confess what that is and allow God to work on

  682. your heart.

  683. The team's going to lead us in worship. Let's sing together.

  684. Let's allow God to work on us together. And if

  685. you'd like to come to the altar, you're more than

  686. welcome to come.

  687. Let's worship yea father. Here we are the aartar, surrendering all.

  688. Father, here we are at the altar, surrendering all. Are

  689. you hurting and broke in with it? Overwhelmed by the

  690. way of the said Jesus, Sister Carley, have you come

  789. am a child.

  790. Of God.

  791. I am no longer a slave to fear, for I

  792. a child of God. Sing that I'm no longer saying

  793. I'm no longer.

  794. Right Godred Sons and Daughters of God.

  795. Gun. There are things in this life.

  796. There are often beyond our control, beyond our understanding. But

  797. as your word says, your love is available. Your love

  798. is available more than we could ever understand. The height

  799. or depth. Your grace is exceeding more than we could

  800. ever understand. You can do far more abundantly anything that

  801. we could ever ask for. God, you can multiply any moment.

  802. God so Lord, we pray that in this moment, you

  803. would multiply freedom, you would multiply healing.

  804. God.

  805. I pray people will walk in deliverance in this room today,

  806. Father God, and I pray Lord, they will be no

  807. longer bound by fear, no longer bound by addiction, no

  808. longer bound by pain, no longer bound by a past God.

  809. But they will fully walk in the wholeness and the

  810. calling of God on their life. Lord, that Christ would

  811. be the foundation of our soil today. Lord, that we

  812. will fully surrender to Jesus as King, and we will

  813. fully follow him with our whole heart, soul and strength. God,

  814. we thank you for your deliverance today. Lord, and I

  815. pray if there's anyone in this room, anyone in the courtyard,

  816. in the cafe, who's never confessed Jesus Christ as their

  817. Lord and savior, I would never want to take it

  818. for granted that everyone in this room has given their

  819. life to Christ. I just want to invite you today,

  820. if you are ready to take the step of faith

  821. by surrendering your life to Jesus Christ, to confessing him

  822. as your Lord and savior and believing that His death

  823. and resurrection is for you walking away from your sins

  824. and your past to fe surrender to God that I

  825. want to invite everyone to say this with me. This

  826. confession is not the thing that saves you. All we're

  827. doing is affirming what the spirit of God is already

  828. at work.

  829. In your life right now.

  830. Could we say this together, Dear Lord Jesus, in this moment,

  831. I repent to my sins. I fully embrace you as

  832. my Lord and Savior. I believe in my heart that

  833. you died on the cross and you rose three days later.

  834. I choose to follow you for the rest of.

  835. My days, for I am a child of God in

  836. Jesus' name.

  837. Amen, Could we give God glory for what the Lord

  838. would do in this room today if you responded to

  839. that prayer today we want to come alongside of you.

  840. And so before you leave, if you'd like to know

  841. what's next in your walk with Jesus, you could go

  842. to ww dot grow dot Faith.

  843. We would love to walk with you, get you a
