  1. Picking a link, You're creating a moment, a moment that

  2. can change your life in just fifteen seconds. And that's

  3. the power of generosity. That's the power of God working

  4. through us. And a friendly reminder there are four ways

  5. to give. You can tap the give, you can give

  6. it for giving chios, you can download the pushpayapp, or

  7. you can go to our website. Thank you for taking

  8. fifteen seconds to change someone's life.

  9. Come on, can we put our hands together? How many

  10. guys love Pastor Kenny? Come on, put your hands again?

  11. I see that he's up here looking dapper in a suit.

  12. I'm sorry I didn't wear a suit next time. But

  13. we love Pastor Kenny, and I'm so excited. I love

  14. his history with the Lord and his history and generosity.

  15. But man, I am fired up to share a word

  16. on the Book of Josh. How many guys have been

  17. loving the Book of Josh? Will give me a holly ghost?

  18. Waif before we jump into what we're gonna be doing,

  19. I want to just take a moment to honor our

  20. senior pastors, our leaders, Pastors Adam and Ashley Masa. Can

  21. we put our hands together? Anytime I get the chance

  22. or any.

  23. Of our team.

  24. You hear that it's because we have a culture of honor.

  25. It's not because we have to. It's because we're honored

  26. to get the moment to share the word from this stage, and.

  27. We don't take it for granted.

  28. We actually believe this is a God moment given from

  29. our senior leaders and we're grateful for their leadership.

  30. So if you love your pastor's leadership of.

  31. Adam and Ashley, can you put your hands together one

  32. more time? And if we haven't got the chance to meet,

  33. I'm kind of like one of your crazy cousins, Puerto

  34. Rican cousins, that is, you know, Hey, I'm Pastor Sammy Rodriguez,

  35. and I, like I said before, I'm fired up. I've

  36. been brought a sweat rag because I feel like we

  37. about to go in. Okay, so someone touch a neighbors

  38. say we going in? All right, We're about to go

  39. in on this word and a few different things. One,

  40. I believe that you're gonna be encouraged, Okay tonight everybody's

  41. saying encouraged. And I believe that God wants you to

  42. leave built up, not beat up, all right, So I

  43. believe you're gonna leave built up Okay, even though maybe

  44. you're hitting someone on the drive here, you better get

  45. your hands off your kid, you know what I'm saying.

  46. But then you're you're we'll back, We're back, We've got

  47. our church face on.

  48. And uh.

  49. But I believe you're gonna be encouraged and you're gonna

  50. be built up. But also I believe you're gonna be challenged.

  51. Somebody say challenged. And Pastor Adam did an incredible job

  52. bringing a word a full word this last Sunday, and

  53. as he always does. But you're gonna be challenged to

  54. walk in what you're called to walk into.

  55. Amen.

  56. And I believe tonight you're gonna be activated. Somebody say activated.

  57. And why I feel excited, I always feel excited, if

  58. you know me. But why I really feel excited for

  59. this is because we have a little kind.

  60. Of who's gonna be preaching each week?

  61. And technically I wasn't supposed to be preaching this week,

  62. but one of the passes on our tea, Pastor Aaron,

  63. said hey, actually can you fill in.

  64. For this week?

  65. And he texted me when I was suffering for the

  66. Lord in Hawaii. You know someone's got to do it, Amen.

  67. You know I said, here we are, send us load,

  68. all right. So my wife and I went on on

  69. a teaching.

  70. Trip when brought our kids. We have a three year

  71. old and a one year old.

  72. We love them so much, but we were so tired,

  73. even more tired after the trip. If you are a

  74. parent of young kids, give me an amen. You know

  75. they're they're sleeping already. That's why they wasn't that loud.

  76. But anyways, I say all this to say pastor Aaron

  77. text me, hey, can you cover this? And why I

  78. believe it's a great moment is because that same day,

  79. everybody says, same day my wife was teaching the women

  80. that we were teaching, we broke into guys and girls

  81. the exact same chapter and story that that that I'm

  82. gonna be preaching on tonight. And not only that, was

  83. she had a god dream, a god dream years ago

  84. preaching on this passage and on these dogs coming where

  85. my ladies in the room. Ladies in the room say

  86. he a man, or go yeah, all right, whatever way

  87. you want to do it, all right, because this is

  88. a story about five daughters that changed the course of history.

  89. It's a beautiful story. But my wife had a dream

  90. about this story in Joshua seventeen and number twenty seven,

  91. that it was all about fighting for your inheritance. And

  92. even tonight, I felt this activation. There's always here, but

  93. I felt this activation of faith in the room, even

  94. in worship, even if as Pastor Herron was leading us

  95. in the miracle moment, as Pastor Daniel was leading us

  96. in worship with the team, I believe there's faith for change.

  97. Can I get an amen? So why don't we jump on?

  98. In the title of my message tonight is this is

  99. inheritance unlocked. Inheritance unlocked. Now you gotta remember this. Goats

  100. take notes, Okay, all right, So so just keep that

  101. What does that mean? That just mean just ask a

  102. young person what's a goat? You know, it's the greatest

  103. of all times. So if you want to remember what

  104. you're saying and what we've talked about, I want to

  105. heard you to take notes in your journal or on

  106. your phone. But it's inheritance unlocked. I look this up briefly,

  107. and did you know that inheritance is mentioned close to

  108. fifty times in the Book of Joshua.

  109. Fifty that's because if you.

  110. Look at the end of Joshua and go to the

  111. next Book of Judges.

  112. What happens is just because you inherit.

  113. Something doesn't mean it's all gonna be happily.

  114. Ever after.

  115. I'm preaching to somebody, Come on, somebody, just because you

  116. inherit something doesn't mean it's all gonna work out how

  117. it's supposed to look. And the reason why even I

  118. believe it's mentioned fifty times fifty, the number of jubilee,

  119. we're about to talk about five daughters, the number of grace,

  120. fifty grace upon grace, is because it's important for us

  121. to understand just because you inherit something doesn't mean it's

  122. gonna go as planned unless we are actively moving forward

  123. to say this is how I'm gonna walk out my inheritance.

  124. The next book of right after Joshua's Judges and Judges

  125. is all about.

  126. People doing what was right in their own eyes.

  127. We look throughout this whole Book of Joshua and it

  128. says there's still people dwelling in the land. And here's

  129. what's important about that is that if we don't kick

  130. those people out of our land, we might fall into

  131. worshiping the same idols that they worship.

  132. And so I want to encourage you about this.

  133. The reason we're kind of pounding on inheritance and Joshua

  134. is because we have to be reminded if we don't

  135. fight for it, we will lose it. And so here

  136. we come into a story that's historic.

  137. That's the first time ever, and we're gonna jump right in.

  138. You ready to jump in in, Patriot if this is

  139. your first time, We stand for the reading the world.

  140. We only got six verses, but why don't we stand

  141. up all together and let's read this out. It says this,

  142. and Joshua won seventeen one through sixty says Then the allotment,

  143. and we're gonna have fun with the names. Okay, we'll

  144. see what happens. You know, will fail together?

  145. Amen? All right?

  146. Then the allotment was made to the people of Manassa,

  147. for he was the firstborn of Joseph Tomkir, the firstborn

  148. of Manassa, the father of Gilead. Were a lot of

  149. Gilead and Bashan because he was a man of war.

  150. And the allotments were made to the rest of the

  151. people of Manassa by their clans. Abbiezar helek Asrael schechem Heffer,

  152. okay Uh shemaidah. Okay, well, we're gonna talk about Heifer.

  153. A little bit.

  154. But day day someone mom and death. Please don't do that. Okay,

  155. moving on, all right. These were the male descendants of Manassa,

  156. the sons of Joseph by their clans. Now Zelefah had

  157. the son of Heifer, the son of Gilead, the son

  158. of Makir, the son of Manad. I'm killing it, okay,

  159. moving That's what I was. Had had no sons. Somebody say,

  160. no sons, but only daughters. Somebody say, only daughters. And

  161. these are the names of his daughters, mah Lah, Noah, Hagla, Milka,

  162. and Terza. They approached Eliezer the priest, and Joshua, the

  163. son of Nun, and the leaders, and said, the Lord

  164. commanded Moses.

  165. Somebody say commanded.

  166. The Lord commanded Moses to give us an inheritance along

  167. with our brothers. According to the mouth of the Lord,

  168. he gave them an inheritance among the.

  169. Brothers of their father.

  170. Thus, thus there fell to Manassa ten portions, besides the

  171. land of Gilead and Bashan, which is on the other

  172. side of the Jordan. Because the daughters of Manassa received

  173. an inheritance along with his son. Somebody give me an amen,

  174. and the land of Gilead was allotted to the rest

  175. of the people of Manassa. Stay standing with me, Lo,

  176. we pray that tonight you would speak to us, Lord,

  177. that only your words would go forth, that I would

  178. move out the way, and that you would speak to

  179. us about unlocking our inheritance in Jesus' name. And everybody said,

  180. amen and amen, go ahead and grab your seats. You know,

  181. I was thinking about inheritance unlocking, and I was thinking

  182. about almost in the sense of like access, you know.

  183. And my next year will be twenty years in full

  184. time ministry for me.

  185. I know. I started when I was five moving yeah.

  186. Yeah, you could clip, yeah yeah. I started on seventeen.

  187. I'll be thirty seven next year. Every twenty years and

  188. part of my ministry that I got the chance to

  189. do is I got to fly a lot and travel

  190. to different countries. And one thing that you do if

  191. you fly a lot and you travel, you sign up

  192. with a certain group because when you have access to

  193. their group and you hit different markers, you get an

  194. inheritance or you get access from them. And some really

  195. incredible perks. So some places, if you fly long enough,

  196. they'll upgrate you to first class.

  197. Somebody say, geez, take the wheel, you know what I mean.

  198. Some places you get access through a group to a lounge.

  199. So I don't know if you've ever walked around in

  200. the airport and you see the lounge opens and all like,

  201. you know, like some posh people all speaking in the

  202. British accent inside, you know what I mean.

  203. That's what you get access.

  204. You get access to that, you get access to different

  205. seats and all these beautiful things. And I remember one

  206. time I was traveling with one of my buddies who

  207. was brand new to the travel game, but he was

  208. already traveling five or six years. But he never recorded

  209. his point. So even though he had access to these places,

  210. he never went into these places. He was sitting in

  211. the back by the bathroom, next to two people in

  212. the middle seat, holding his red saying, lo.

  213. Jesus take the way, you know what I mean?

  214. And I told him, did you know you could sit

  215. up front? Did you know you had access to the

  216. free snacks in the lounges.

  217. There's even some that have showers.

  218. And you gotta get a missat did you know that

  219. he had no idea that he had access For years

  220. he was flying something. He had no idea what he

  221. had had access or an inheritance to. And here's my

  222. challenge to us, myself included. How much of us.

  223. In our walk with the Lord? Do we walk with.

  224. Jesus and we enter into the Gate of Salvation, but

  225. we never explore the Kingdom of God.

  226. And we enter.

  227. Into this place and we say, thank you God, we're saved.

  228. We're saved from hell. Amen. But we we set up

  229. our tent right by the gate of Salvation.

  230. When God, God says, when he came, he said, the

  231. Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

  232. Hey, you can clip a church. Go ahead, you get

  233. clapt church. That's all right.

  234. And here's what I want to tell you is I

  235. want to talk to you about what it means to

  236. truly walk out and live in your inheritance.

  237. I love this. It's on the screen right here.

  238. I love this because even their names preach a story.

  239. Okay, I wanna encourage you.

  240. Heiffer the grandfather, his name means pit hole and dug out.

  241. The Leffa had his father, the father of the daughters

  242. means shadow of fear. So the grandfather means living in

  243. a pit. The father's the lefa had his name meant

  244. shadow of fear. But let's look at what the daughter's

  245. names mean. The first daughter means weakness or sickness. But

  246. how many guys know God's power is perfected in our weakness?

  247. Can I get an amen from five people?

  248. No? One means movement and rest.

  249. Hogla means patrech and persistence. Milk come means quick and

  250. turns on means delight and pleasure.

  251. Can I get an amen?

  252. From the pits to the shadow, to weakness, to royalty,

  253. to delight, God redeems the legacy. Come on, I'm preaching

  254. to somebody. I need to use this. And I feel

  255. like what God wanted to do even tonight was for

  256. some of us that we've come from a legacy that

  257. or our.

  258. Family just known to be in the pits, or.

  259. We just have this is this shadow of my family

  260. who's following me around. And I believe that God wants

  261. to let you know, in the same way he did.

  262. For the daughters, he's gonna redeem your legacy.

  263. Come on, in the same way he did for the daughters,

  264. He's gonna do for your kids. And your grandkids. Can

  265. I get an amen?

  266. And I love this. The first point I want you

  267. to write down is this point number one.

  268. Is this know your inheritance, No your inheritance, because the

  269. truth is that the daughters didn't know their inheritance. How

  270. could they fight for their inheritance. How could they go

  271. up to Joshua and Eliezer and say, you gotta give

  272. us the land. This is I want you to understand this.

  273. This has never been happened before in the history of

  274. the world, that daughters inherited property because the father had

  275. no sons. You imagine the conversation with the five daughters.

  276. You know, they were even talking to some other daughters,

  277. and they said, well, it never happened for me, so

  278. it probably ain't gonna happen for you. And those five

  279. daughters did not let what everybody else said hold them back.

  280. They didn't care about their reputation. They said the worst

  281. they could say is no, But the best they could

  282. do is change the law. That's good.

  283. And the daughters didn't listen to anyone else. Here's what

  284. I want to encourage you to hear. Is that word

  285. inheritance in the original language. It's not on the screen,

  286. but I want you to listen. It means to receive

  287. a possession, to inherit, a possession meaning more than land.

  288. It's about heritage, a lot of possession, perpetual gift of God.

  289. It carries both illegal somebody say legal carries legal weight,

  290. which means land rights, and covenenttal weight, which is a

  291. God given destiny. The daughters knew that God had promised

  292. and refused to let it be forgotten. I want to

  293. encourage you. You need to know your inheritance.

  294. But what's beautiful about this is it didn't start there.

  295. We saw in.

  296. Joshua seventeen. We saw where the daughter said, just as

  297. God commanded Moses, will you give us our land? And

  298. they got their land. But here's what's beautiful. We have

  299. the recording of the story in the Book of Numbers.

  300. It'll be on the screen, says in numbers one, and

  301. we're gonna read this. You can stay seated because we've

  302. got a few verses to read. I love it, but

  303. I want you to catch the heart of this moment.

  304. Then drew near the daughters as the left for had

  305. the son of Hepper's, son of Gilead, son of makiir

  306. son of Manasa. I got it down from the clans

  307. of Manassa, the son of Joseph.

  308. The names of his daughters were Malah and Noah, Hagalatmilka,

  309. and Terza.

  310. And they stood before Moses and before Elia, are in

  311. the priest.

  312. And before the chiefs and all the congregations at.

  313. The entrance of the tent of meetings, saying pause. So

  314. here's what you gotta understand. Right before they're going into

  315. the promised Land, right before Moses is getting ready to

  316. pass away, this is when the daughters initially come to

  317. Moses and the priest.

  318. Okay, if you're following me, say I'm following you. Let's

  319. keep going. Our father died in the wilderness verse three.

  320. This is the daughters.

  321. He was not among the company of those who gathered

  322. themselves together against the Lord, in the company of Korah,

  323. but died for his own sin.

  324. And he had no sons.

  325. Why should the name of our father be taken away

  326. from his clan because he had no sons? Give to

  327. us a possession among our fathers brothers. Moses brought this

  328. case before the Lord. Okay, I want you to We're

  329. gonna keep reading, but I want you to I want

  330. you to hear this moment real quick. Don't assume what

  331. God is saying. We need to bring things to the Lord.

  332. I'm gonna say it again. I'm gonna say again. This

  333. has never happened in the history of Israel's nation, in

  334. the history of the world, where a daughter has gotten inheritance,

  335. they come with this outlandish thing. How about we get

  336. the inheritance. What Moses does is biblical. Somebody say biblical.

  337. It's something that we can lean in on. Is that

  338. he does not commit the sin of presuming what God

  339. would do and what God would say.

  340. Come, I'm preaching right now. Come on, somebody listen to me.

  341. Sometimes what happens is when our traditions when when when

  342. when when our cultures, when our things get challenged and

  343. we're like, no, no, no.

  344. That's not the way we've ever done.

  345. That's not And we heard it even pass around, and

  346. when he talked about all the different chairs and the

  347. different and then removing up certain chairs that make more room.

  348. Sometimes when traditions are the way it is, it's easy

  349. for us to say no, no, no, no, we're not doing that.

  350. But what Moses did was when the daughters came before him,

  351. even though it's nothing. It's never been happened in the

  352. history of the world, in the history of Israel. Moses

  353. brought it to the Lord. Amen, And we must in

  354. the same way. When things come to us that are

  355. challenging us, we must as well take it to the Lord.

  356. We must as well not assume, but bring it to God. Amen.

  357. Let's keep going. Verse six Moses' brother case before the Lord.

  358. And the Lord said to Moses, the daughters as the

  359. left had are right. You shall give them a possession

  360. of an inheritance among their father's brothers, and transfer the

  361. inheritance of their father to them. And you shall speak

  362. to the people of Israel, saying, if a man dies

  363. and has no sons, then you shall transfer his inheritance

  364. to his daughter. And if he has no daughters, then

  365. you shall give his inheritance to his brothers. And if

  366. he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance

  367. to his father's brothers. And if his father has no brothers,

  368. then you shall give his inheritance to the nearest kinsmen

  369. of his.

  370. Clan, and he shall possess it.

  371. And that shall be for the people of Israel, the

  372. peaceeople of who the people of who Israel a statue

  373. and a rule as.

  374. The Lord commands Moses, I want to.

  375. Encourage you with something else, and we're gonna get into

  376. a few more things. But I love it because the

  377. five daughters are from the tribe Manassa. But when they

  378. came forward and all they were, they weren't asking for

  379. an inheritance from other tribes. They were asking for their inheritance,

  380. which was theirs. But when they got it from not

  381. only just from Moses, but when God spoke to Moses,

  382. Moses said, this is from the Lord. What does Moses say?

  383. He says, change the laws for all of Israel?

  384. What am i? What am I saying? Right here?

  385. Listen, what you're fighting for for your family isn't just

  386. for your family.

  387. What you're fighting for for yourself isn't just for yourself.

  388. Come on, what you're believing for and what you wanted

  389. to walk in?

  390. Is it just for you? What if it could affect

  391. our whole church? What if it could affect our whole region?

  392. Come on, what if it could affect our whole nation?

  393. You never know? You never know. Your daughters, their their

  394. purpose wasn't that.

  395. But what they did was they said give us our inheritance,

  396. and it changed the law for a whole nation. Maybe

  397. your obedience could affect a whole nation. Come on, maybe

  398. you're fighting for your inheritance could affect a whole nation.

  399. Can I get an amen? And here's the thing I

  400. told you I was gonna do that. I almost knocked

  401. off my mic. Okay, I'm sweating more than I was

  402. after doing announcements and baby dedication and praying that my

  403. daughter doesn't run across the stage.

  404. You know this Sunday in it. Okay, moving on. Okay,

  405. here's the thing is I want you to look at this.

  406. Okay, if we don't know our inheritance is this. There's

  407. a few things.

  408. You can't fight for what you don't know belongs to you.

  409. If you don't know your inheritance, you can't fight for

  410. what you don't know belongs to you. Ignorance will rob

  411. you faster than the enemy will. Okay, that's gonna come.

  412. Listen. Listen.

  413. In Joseiah, it says my people are destroyed for lack

  414. of knowledge because you have rejected knowledge.

  415. I reject you from being a priest to me.

  416. Some of us are being robbed of our inheritance because

  417. we're ignorant of what God has spoken to us.

  418. And here's the truth is. The truth is, if.

  419. We knew what our inheritance was, the things that matter

  420. to us won't matter because we're focused and worried about

  421. our inheritance.

  422. Amen, can I.

  423. Give you two more? Can I give you two more?

  424. Shall we skip? I'm gonna give you two more?

  425. It's all right.

  426. The next one is this, if you don't know what's yours,

  427. you'll settle for leftovers.

  428. I told you I was gonna challenge some of us.

  429. Come on, some of us.

  430. We don't know what our inheritance is. And all we're

  431. doing is we're eating leftovers in every relationship. Maybe that's

  432. in our dating relationships. Oh, don't look around. All we're

  433. left with is leftovers. All we're left with is that

  434. because we don't know we are a son or daughter

  435. of God and we're left with leftovers. The daughters could

  436. have lived quiet, passive lives. Instead, they knew what God

  437. said and stood on it. AKA they stood on business.

  438. It's for the young people or business. I love it

  439. because if we don't know our inheritance, we can't walk

  440. in it. But here's another thing that I want you

  441. to think about where can we get it wrong?

  442. Can I challenge you a few more times?

  443. We know the stats of our fantasy football team, but

  444. not the promises of God. Oh maybe that's just for

  445. me because I'm starting fantasy Lord, Please let me remember

  446. your promises.

  447. Amen.

  448. We know the latest update on our bank account, but

  449. not our eternal inheritance. Can I come for somebody today?

  450. Because I say, can I challenge you today?

  451. Is that?

  452. Okay? I challenge you a little bit. Let's do two more,

  453. two more.

  454. We care more about a promotion that work than our

  455. position in Christ.

  456. No one in this room.

  457. That's for everybody else you know that didn't come. Okay,

  458. this isn't for this isn't for us, it's for the

  459. people outside. We stress over what people think of us

  460. more than what God has.

  461. Spoken over us.

  462. And the truth is, when we know what our inheritance is,

  463. we don't care what anyone else would say. And I

  464. want to challenge you with this. You'd ask you this question.

  465. Are you preparing for what you're praying for? I'm gonna

  466. say it again for myself and the people in the back.

  467. Are you preparing for what you're praying for? Because a

  468. lot of times. What happens is.

  469. We're praying for it, we're believing it.

  470. Let's say you know it's a it's maybe if it

  471. has to do with the relationship a single person.

  472. Godleeense, bring wife feet, you know what I mean? But

  473. you're not. You're not like cleaning up your act. You

  474. know what I mean? You never learned how to make

  475. the bed. How's wife? You're gonna come? If you can't

  476. even make the bed? But you praying for wife? You can?

  477. I get a name? Man? You praying God give me

  478. a business? I want to. I want to coach teams.

  479. But but but but you're in negative in your bank account.

  480. You're not even honoring God with your account.

  481. And the truth is we might pray for it, but

  482. are we preparing for it?

  483. And I want to encourage you.

  484. Is that knowing your inheritance makes you focused on what

  485. you're supposed to be focused on. And the majors will

  486. be major and the miners will be minor. Amen, we

  487. need to know our inheritance. Not only did the daughters

  488. know their inheritance. The second point, which we'll get to

  489. in a second.

  490. Let's read verse four.

  491. It says they approached everybody say approached, say it like

  492. you mean it, say approached. Alias are the priest and Joshua,

  493. the son of None and the leaders, And said, the

  494. Lord commanded Moses to give us an inheritance along with

  495. our brothers.

  496. So according to the mouth of the Lord, he.

  497. Gave them an inheritance among the brothers of their father.

  498. Point number two I want you to write down is

  499. fight for your inheritance. Fight is coming up right now

  500. on the count of three, one, two, three, shakana, Amen,

  501. how look at that power of God. Point number two

  502. is fight for your inheritance. Somebody say, fight for your inheritance.

  503. I love this because that word approached in the original language,

  504. it actually means this. It actually means to draw near

  505. with boldness and often in a priestly worship lee language.

  506. And what I love about it is that it was

  507. five sisters. It wasn't one sister trying to get the

  508. whole inheritance.

  509. It was five.

  510. The biblical number five means grace. Everybody say grace. They

  511. did it together, arms in arm, walking together, because saying

  512. we might get rejected, but we also might get an inheritance.

  513. They fought, They fought for their inheritance.

  514. And they didn't have come in in a fearful way.

  515. They didn't have come in like Moses. Maybe I'm here. No,

  516. it said, they approached, and that word was with boldness.

  517. They said that it is often as a priest or

  518. in worship. They said, I know my inheritance, even though

  519. they might not know what. I know my inheritance, and

  520. I'm willing to fight for it and show up on

  521. this ground so that Moses and the priest will give

  522. me my inheritance. I love it because the daughters show

  523. us what it means. It means five means grace, power, men,

  524. and favor.

  525. Amen.

  526. I love it because in fighting for your inheritance, I

  527. feel like the daughters had these three things that challenge

  528. us and invite us into it. They had clarity. Somebody

  529. say clarity. They stood on God's word and numbers six

  530. and seven. We're not going there, but it actually says

  531. God commanded, Moses sought the Lord and God commanded.

  532. We just read that verse.

  533. So they had clarity, somebody say clarity. The second thing

  534. was they had consistency. They waited and asked again years later,

  535. still believing from numbers twenty seven to Joshua seventeen and

  536. this might be for someone here. I know it's all

  537. for all of us, but this might specifically be for

  538. someone where you have known your inheritance and you have

  539. fought for your inheritance.

  540. But it's been a few years. Am I talking to anybody?

  541. Just me? Okay? Cool?

  542. And it says that from numbers twenty seven to Joshua seventeen, it's.

  543. Been seven years.

  544. And it says for seven years, not only did they

  545. contend for it, but they believed in it. They were consistent,

  546. and they were faithful. They waited, and they asked again

  547. and again and believed that God spoke it and God

  548. would fulfill it in his timing.

  549. Amen. They fought for it.

  550. And the third one is they had confidence. They boldly

  551. approached and trusted God's justice to prevail.

  552. Amen.

  553. There's multiple ways that we could currently fight for it.

  554. Besides those three things. We could fight for our inheritance

  555. today in prayer. We could fight for it in purity,

  556. we could fight for it in perseverance, we could fight

  557. for it in priorities, and we could fight.

  558. For it in people.

  559. And here's the thing that I feel when I was

  560. praying today, because I had this all mapped up, but

  561. this afternoon before going in, I felt the Lord impressed

  562. on my heart is that some of us have lost

  563. our fight. Mike Tyson has a famous line says everyone

  564. has a plan until they get punched in the face.

  565. And some of us have had a plan, and life

  566. has punched you in the face, and.

  567. It's bewildered you. It's shocked you.

  568. If you ever watch any of those heavyweight boxing moments,

  569. whenever someone gets tagged, their equilibrium and they can't see

  570. and that's why they're dancing around because everything is distorted.

  571. Life has hit some of us in a way where it's.

  572. Distorted us and we're not sure if we want to

  573. get back in the ring and fight again.

  574. And here's what I want to encourage you with.

  575. And when when the Israelites were talking about walking to

  576. their promise, and after they were freed from Egypt, after

  577. they were freed from from.

  578. Slavery, when they were in the wilderness, what.

  579. They did was was they had a cloud by day.

  580. They had fire by night, which means a cloud by day.

  581. They weren't getting burnt, right, it was nice and shade.

  582. It felt good. Fire by night, they weren't too cold.

  583. It said they had manna coming down from the from

  584. the heavens. Even when they complained about it, they had

  585. quail that came. They were like, I don't want all

  586. this bread too much, you know, glue to God, and

  587. uh and like fine, here's some quail.

  588. Fine, you know. And they had all this stuff.

  589. Their clothes never wore out right there, their their their

  590. their shoes never wore out. But on the verge when

  591. they crossed in, when they crossed into the Promised Land.

  592. The moment their feet moved from the Jordan and went.

  593. To Gildgall on the Promised Land, it said that the

  594. fire left, the cloud left, the food stopped, the clothes

  595. started to wear.

  596. Out, and they had to start fighting. What am I

  597. saying is.

  598. That for some of us, we need to realize the

  599. closer you're getting to your promised Land, the more the

  600. fight intensifies. And you thought, no, no, no, no, I'm gonna

  601. stay back in the wilderness where there's fire in clouds

  602. and it's cozy and the glory cloud comes down and

  603. all this food is here. But the truth is God

  604. is moving you into the fights, and some of us

  605. we've lost our fights, we've lost our ability to believe,

  606. we've lost our ability to.

  607. Take what is ours. And what God wants to encourage

  608. you to do.

  609. Is to fight again, to believe again.

  610. Because you're on the verge of your inheritance. Don't think,

  611. don't let's not always blame.

  612. The devil, right, the devil, the devil. My car brought

  613. down the devil. Right, you know, she flipped me off

  614. the devil. You know, like we're always blaming the devil. Right,

  615. maybe you're about to enter your promise landing the devil. No,

  616. so he wants to distract you. And so what God

  617. wants us to do is he wants us to learn

  618. to fight even after we're punched, fight even.

  619. When things don't go our way. Will you continue to fight?

  620. Just like the people of Israel, They continue to fight.

  621. Their promised land wasn't just given to him on.

  622. A silver platter. They said, here's your promised land. You

  623. gotta fight, amen, can I'm gonna give you one more point?

  624. Here it is josh Was seventeen verse six. Not only

  625. do we know our inheritance, not only to fight for inheritance,

  626. but I love this because the daughters of Manassa received

  627. an inheritance along with his sons.

  628. Third point I want to write down.

  629. As Pastor Julio gets ready to play, and it just

  630. feels like the Holy Ghost is back in the room.

  631. The third point I want you to write down is

  632. walk in your inheritance. Not only are we knowing our inheritance,

  633. not only are we fighting for our inheritance, but it

  634. says the daughters walked in their inheritance. I love this

  635. part right here because what did they do? They did

  636. three things. They broke norms, their obedience shifted culture.

  637. It was the first time daughters received the land.

  638. They changed the rules, their faith became a testimony for

  639. others to follow, and they lived fulfilled.

  640. Inheritance isn't just received, it must be lived in. Amen.

  641. And here's what I wanna. One more little challenge, and

  642. then we're gonna go. We're gonna we're gonna land the plane.

  643. But I'm Puerto Rican, so my land in the there

  644. might be seven landings. Okay, so we'll see some of us.

  645. I want you to hear this. This is a loving

  646. thing that that I'm taking as well. But some of

  647. us are complaining about what we once prayed for. You

  648. prayed for years for kids, and now you're complaining about

  649. your kids. You prayed for years about a house, Now

  650. you're complaining about the house. You pray for years for

  651. a job, and now you can't stand your coworkers. When

  652. did the blessing become the burden?

  653. When? When did that happen? When? When? When? When? And

  654. And that happens when we lose perspective. We all do that.

  655. I challenge you because we all do that.

  656. We all sometimes move the blessing out and we put

  657. it as a burden.

  658. But we need to remember what God gave us is

  659. the blessing. And even though there's work.

  660. And that's why I love this book because it talks

  661. about the inheritance.

  662. But as you read through Joshua, which I know you have.

  663. It talks about people that would still dwell there.

  664. And it says that they couldn't kick them out, so

  665. they made them slaves.

  666. Can I encourage you with something, Do not make slaves

  667. in your life to the areas that you can't conquer.

  668. So if it's an area of purity and you're like

  669. I can't get out of my life, I'm just gonna

  670. make it a slave in my life, it will come back.

  671. It's going to come back in your life, and it's

  672. going to conquer you. The truth is the Israelites did

  673. not send out the people in certain areas, and.

  674. It came back to bite them.

  675. So what I want to encourage you is that in

  676. our inheritance is this is not only do I want

  677. you to know it, not only.

  678. Do I want you to fight for it, but I

  679. want you to walk in it. I have these keys

  680. up here.

  681. One of these keys are house keys, and one of

  682. these keys are car keys.

  683. Not my keys, but just as a metaphor, and it's.

  684. Almost like I'm talking and think about it like I'm

  685. talking abo past the pastor.

  686. Can't you look at this house? I got this house, man,

  687. I got this house. I'm so excited. Passing Kenn He's like, amen,

  688. you know how he's amen, you know?

  689. And he's like super grateful, and then he's like when

  690. can I come over?

  691. I'm like, I don't know. I haven't been in it.

  692. I've had these keys for ten years, but I've never

  693. been in it. But I got the keys. Look look

  694. I got the keys. I've known it. I fought for it.

  695. I finally got the house. Same thing with the car.

  696. What if I'm like, look at this brand new car.

  697. I love it. I love it, but I never drove

  698. it off the lots.

  699. And the truth is, for some of us, we've known

  700. our inheritance, right, we fought for it and once we

  701. finally received it, but we.

  702. Haven't walked in it.

  703. And until I furnished the house, and until I drive

  704. the car, what is an inheritance? And for some of us,

  705. just like I said from before, we've we've walked in salvation,

  706. but we've never walked around the kingdom and walked in

  707. our opportunity and walked in what God has for us.

  708. And so all we're doing is we're holding keys. We're

  709. just holding keys, but we're not operating in the gift

  710. that God has through our in heritance.

  711. It's the same way I have this last one up here.

  712. I have this diploma, the diploma, sorry, it's a doctorate

  713. for the studies in the Book of Joshua. It's fake, okay,

  714. But imagine, I'm like, man, I went to school.

  715. Man, seventeen years, baby, I went to school.

  716. You're like, amen, And what if every year I came

  717. up to you, look at my diploma, Look at it,

  718. look at it.

  719. But I never built anything. If I was a lawyer

  720. and never built a law firm.

  721. What would I be doing just holding this if I

  722. was a doctor and I needed to work for a hospital.

  723. But all I showed you was this, But I never

  724. walked out and what I once fought for and believed for.

  725. And why I'm belaboring this point is because I think

  726. for some of us in this room, you've known it,

  727. you've fought for it, you've even received it, but you

  728. haven't walked in it. And I believe tonight you're gonna

  729. walk in it. I believe God wants you to walk

  730. in your inheritance. I believe God wants you to drive

  731. that car. I believe God wants you to move into

  732. that house.

  733. And maybe it's because because.

  734. That shadow of fear, like Heifer and ze Leffah hat Right,

  735. your family came from a pit, and that shadow follows

  736. you around. So you don't want to go into your

  737. inheritance because you believe you might repeat the same cycles

  738. as your generational line. But what God wants to let

  739. you know is that the price he pay for on

  740. the Cross is greater than any mistake your family can make.

  741. And it doesn't mean you got you don't have to

  742. deal with things.

  743. It doesn't mean you don't have to go to things

  744. like life classes and forward and do all these things.

  745. But what it does mean is that he who is

  746. in you is greater than he who is in the world.

  747. And what I hope to encourage all of us tonight

  748. is that we don't just have these keys and this diploma,

  749. but that we start to live life and we start

  750. to walk in our inheritance. I'm ending here, I promise you.

  751. I promise you. That was my second one, so you

  752. know there's a few more. I'm just skidded, Okay. I

  753. just want you to look at this real briefly, because

  754. not only are we talking about the daughter's inheritance, we're

  755. talking about ours. It says our inheritance in Christ. Without Christ,

  756. there's fear in Christ. Our inheritance is faith and power.

  757. Without Christ, there's condemnation in Christ. There's justification without Christ.

  758. The wages of sin is death with Christ. The gift

  759. of God is eternal life in Christ, Jesus our Lord.

  760. Without Christ, there were slaves to sin. With Christ, we're

  761. walking in freedom, for who the Son sets free is free.

  762. Indeed next one.

  763. Without Christ, we operate in a world of hate, and

  764. we operate in hate in Christ, we are operating in

  765. the gift and the culture of love. Without Christ, we

  766. are orphaned. In Christ, we are adopted. Without Christ, we

  767. are perishing, And with Christ we are imperishable and eternal.

  768. Can I get an amen?

  769. So I want to encourage you on these three things

  770. to unlock your inheritance. Do you know you're inheritance? Will

  771. you fight for your inheritance? We'll do these questions and

  772. then we'll do this. Do you know your inheritance in Christ?

  773. Are you willing to fight for it under God's grace?

  774. And will you persist in it until you walk in

  775. it so others can follow?

  776. Amen, Here's what I want to do. We're gonna get

  777. a moment.

  778. Every time we have a service, we give a moment

  779. for a salvation for those who want to give their

  780. life to the Lord for the first time or for

  781. the last time. Of the greatest inheritance you could ever

  782. receive is eternal life.

  783. Roma six twenty three says the wages of sin is dead.

  784. The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus

  785. our Lord, it says.

  786. In Roma's ten, it.

  787. Says, if we confess with our mouth and believe in

  788. our heart, we shall be saved.

  789. Amen.

  790. Before I go into that salvation moment, I want to

  791. give a special, just a brief moment.

  792. Of prayer for a group of people.

  793. If you heard this message and something stirred in you,

  794. and maybe you need to know your inheritance, or maybe

  795. you need to fight for it, or maybe you need

  796. to walk in it. Maybe one of them, two of them,

  797. are all three of them. If that's you can, I

  798. just ask you to stand right now, Just stand right

  799. now where you're at. I want you to stand, and

  800. I want to pray for you.

  801. Yeah. Amen, you can put your hands together.

  802. You can put your hands together. There's more. Don't worry,

  803. there's more and more. We'll keep standing more, We'll keep standing.

  804. Sometimes it takes you know, one person to stand. He

  805. I don't want to be the only person. If you

  806. need to know God, go in and keep putting your

  807. hands together real quick.

  808. If you if if.

  809. You need a greater understanding of your inheritance, if you

  810. need a you need an increase in your fighting, or

  811. if you want to walk in it, go ahead and

  812. stand right now.

  813. I know there's more in the room. Go ahead and stand.

  814. I'll give fifteen more seconds.

  815. Yeah, go ahead, we canna put our hands together real quick.

  816. Here's what I want you to do, real quick, and

  817. you could stand even as I'm praying. If you see

  818. someone standing around, just extend a hand for me. Extend

  819. a hand. Lo we pray for these people who are standing.

  820. We thank you so much that you in the same

  821. way you did for the daughters.

  822. You want to walk. You want us to walk in

  823. your inheritance.

  824. So I pray for those that need to know your

  825. their inheritance, that there would be knowledge of it. I

  826. pray for those who need to have an increase of fight,

  827. that that increase of fight would come to them. And

  828. I pray for those that need to walk in it

  829. they would walk out in.

  830. Their inheritance in Jesus' name. And everybody said, amen and amen,

  831. put your hands together. You could grab a seat. Last

  832. thing we'll pray, and then I'll let you get out

  833. of here.

  834. Only a few minutes over. So that's perfect according to

  835. Latino time. Like I said before, the greatest decision you

  836. can make is walking in that place of giving your

  837. life to the Lord. And so what we're gonna do

  838. is we're just gonna bow our heads and close our

  839. eyes for a second, you could do it right now

  840. and no one looking around. One of my favorite preachers

  841. he would say this, and I kind of borrowed it

  842. from him. He said that in heaven there's no grandsons

  843. and granddaughters.

  844. There's only sons and daughters.

  845. And what that means is that God wants a personal

  846. relationship with you. Not with your family, not with your church,

  847. not with your region. God wants to have a relationship

  848. with you.

  849. So he came to the earth, he died on a cross.

  850. Three days later he rose from the grave to have

  851. a relationship with you.

  852. Wages of sin is death. The gift of God is free.

  853. The wages sin is death. The gift of God is

  854. eternal life in Christ. Jesus, our Lord.

  855. So with no one looking around, every all has a

  856. bowed Let's just pray this prayer altogether.

  857. Let's pray this prayer.

  858. Say, Jesus, we thank you that you came to the earth,

  859. that you died on a cross, and that you rose

  860. from the grave. Say we confess that we're sinners in needs,

  861. in need of a savior. So Jesus forgive me and

  862. my sins. Wipe my slate clean tonight. Jesus, I declare

  863. that you are my Lord, and that you are my

  864. Savior and Holy Spirit. Come and fill me up in

  865. Jesus's name, and everybody said amen and amen, we can.

  866. Put our hands together. Listen. I want to let you know,

  867. and if you've been here, you know this.

  868. But this might have been your decision for the first time, or,

  869. like we like to say, for the last time, you've

  870. recommitted your life to Lord. But Heaven's throwing a party.

  871. So if you prayed that prayer for the first so

  872. last time, on the count of three, I want you

  873. to lift your hands up high and proud, and we

  874. want to celebrate with you. One.

  875. Jesus loves you so much. Two, one, two, three, right now,

  876. lift it up. Go ahead, lift it up. Thank you

  877. so much, thank you so much, amazing, thank you so much, incredible,

  878. thank you so much. That's amazing. We love it. We

  879. love it.

  880. We will welcome home, Welcome to a family.

  881. And we're so grateful that you surrendered. Anyone in the
