  1. Amen.

  2. Hey, it's great to see everybody on our midweek service

  3. or Wednesday night. How many of you like Wednesday is

  4. kind of the day you come to church because you

  5. work on the weekend or Saturday or Sunday.

  6. Is there anybody.

  7. Who'd like to Yeah, there's look at that. That's pretty awesome.

  8. Thank you so much for coming to church. We all

  9. have busy lives, and I just am grateful that people

  10. don't use the excuse, well, I work on weekends, That's

  11. why I don't come. They found a way to come

  12. to church on Wednesday and get fed. So I really

  13. really appreciate that.

  14. You know.

  15. It was Gabe gave the announcements today, and I was

  16. just so overwhelmed that Gabe has grown up in the church.

  17. Great Gabe went off to Bible schools within this church

  18. he started, and he still works over in children's church.

  19. He brought a character called Zay and this surfer kid

  20. that he changes into and teaches the kids the Memory Verse.

  21. And it's so wonderful to see a generational church that

  22. will continue to make an impact and be healthy in

  23. the next generation, in the next generation, in the next generation.

  24. I don't know if you've noticed I've got gray hair,

  25. and Pastor Garfield he's got gray hair. And Pastor Garfield

  26. was for many, many years our children's pastor, and then

  27. when he got gray hair, we had to say, oh no,

  28. we got to move you to somewhere else. But it's

  29. just so wonderful to see generations being impact. I can't

  30. wait to see your children and your teenagers should they

  31. want to walk in the vocation of a preacher, a pastor, teacher, evangelists,

  32. or whatever they might do. I'm looking for the next

  33. generation of Diego's that are hearing the call of God

  34. at seventeen years old, telling all their high school friends

  35. that I'm going to be a preacher one day, and

  36. giving God their twenties, their thirties, their forties, their fifties.

  37. And their sixties.

  38. How many of you know God can do it. It

  39. usually starts off with one intercessor that was too deep

  40. for you to handle. It's more than an interest. It's

  41. an intercessor that usually births that and praise that into

  42. the life of somebody. And I would not be here

  43. because behind me are a thousand intercessors that have allowed

  44. this to happen.

  45. We're going to go to the Book of Joshua.

  46. And as you recognize, we are in chapter twenty four,

  47. and if you been on this journey all year long,

  48. we started in chapter one and now we're in chapter

  49. twenty four, which is the last one. And I imagine

  50. the next message will be the final message of Joshua.

  51. Twenty four. We're going to read about fourteen verses.

  52. I think it's important to read through these fourteen verses

  53. just to lay the foundation of what we're going to

  54. talk about out.

  55. How many of you value the word of God.

  56. If you talk to somebody who doesn't come to church,

  57. non Christian or of another faith, they'll always ask you,

  58. what's up with the Bible? Why is the Bible so

  59. important to you? Why do you talk your people the

  60. church talk from the Bible. What do you think you

  61. would tell them? If someone asked you an atheist, why

  62. do you learn or they teach you in church through

  63. the Bible?

  64. What would you tell them?

  65. So I could see that we're going to have to

  66. teach you apologetics, which means how to defend the Gospel,

  67. because you do want to be good at answering these

  68. kinds of questions. Now you don't have to be deep

  69. and be a seminary graduate. You know why we use

  70. the Bible because it's God's word. It's God's word, and

  71. we don't value anything more than what comes from the

  72. lips of God, which is God's word. This magnificent Bible

  73. made up a sixty six books written over sixteen hundred

  74. year period on three different continents, with forty authors, and

  75. yet the theme of the one book is Jesus and

  76. he's the one that saves all mankind. Now you go

  77. figure that one out and you try to define that.

  78. That's why we believe in the Bible. You tell me

  79. what book is written over sixteen hundred years. You tell

  80. me what book is written by forty different authors on

  81. three different continents and in several languages, but has a

  82. continuity of unity with one message Jesus and Jesus him alone.

  83. It's more than enough for me to believe in the book.

  84. Here we go, stand on our feet. Let's read a

  85. little bit together. In Joshua, chapter twenty four and verse one,

  86. Joshua assembled all the tribes of Israel at Shisham, summoned

  87. Israel's elders, leaders, judges, officers, and they presented themselves before

  88. the Lord Joshua said to all the people, this is

  89. what the Lord, the God of Israel, said. Long ago,

  90. your ancestors, including Tarah, the father of Abram at Nahor,

  91. lived beyond the Euphrates River and worshiped other gods. But

  92. I noticed that I took your father Abraham from the

  93. region beyond the Euphrates River and led him throughout the

  94. land of Canaan, and multiplied his descendants. I gave Isaac,

  95. and to Isaac, I gave Jacob and Esau. And I

  96. gave the hill country of Seir to Esau as a possession.

  97. Jacob and his sons, however, went down to Egypt. I

  98. sent Moses and Aaron, and I defeated Egypt by what

  99. I did within it. And afterwards I brought you out.

  100. When I you brought your ancestors out of Egypt and

  101. reached the Red Sea, the Egyptians pursued your ancestors with

  102. chariots and horsemen as far as the sea.

  103. Your ancestors cried out to the Lord.

  104. So he put darkness between you and the Egyptians and

  105. brought you brought the sea over.

  106. Them, engulfing them.

  107. Your own eyes saw saw what I did to Egypt.

  108. After that you lived in the wilderness.

  109. A long time later, I brought you to the land

  110. of the Amorites, who lived beyond the Jordan. They fought

  111. against you, but I handed them over to you. You

  112. possessed their land, and I annihilated them before you. Barak,

  113. the son of Zippor, king of Moab, sent out to

  114. fight against Israel. He sent Balem, son of Bora, to

  115. curse you, but I would not listen to Batim. Instead,

  116. he repeatedly blessed you, and I rescued you from him.

  117. You then crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho. Jericho's citizens,

  118. as well as the Amorits, Parasite, Canaanites, Hithites, Gergisites, Hippites,

  119. and Jebisides, fought against you, but I handed them over

  120. to you. I sent hornets ahead of you, and they

  121. drove out the two Amorit kings before you, and I

  122. was not, And it.

  123. Was not by your sword or bo.

  124. I gave you a land you did not labor for

  125. cities you did not build, though you live in them.

  126. You are eating from vineyards and olive groves you did

  127. not plant.

  128. Therefore, here we go last verse.

  129. Let's say it together Therefore, fear the Lord, Worship him

  130. in sincerity and truth, get rid of the gods of

  131. your ancestors. Worship beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt,

  132. and worship the Lord.

  133. You may be seated.

  134. Good job you read fourteen verses. How masterful is that.

  135. I know we read them fast and there was a

  136. lot to be said, But I want to just smise

  137. what we're about ready to talk about today by reading

  138. from my notes today. The thought is this, when we

  139. remember right, we will reaffirm our commitment to God and

  140. not repeat our mistakes and not replace God in our lives.

  141. That's the summation of what you just read right there.

  142. If you and I do not remember God in everything

  143. that God's done for us, and we will replace God

  144. in our lives.

  145. But if you remember God that.

  146. It was in your goodness, your righteousness, it was in

  147. your strength that has gotten you where you are today,

  148. but nothing but God, then I will always affirm God.

  149. I will always honor God, and I will always rely

  150. upon God.

  151. Do you have a good memory? Let me ask you

  152. a question.

  153. Can you remember things pretty good? Or do you have

  154. spiritual amnesia? Do you have spiritual dementia or spiritual insanity.

  155. Sometimes we do. I could be guilty of that, and

  156. you could be guilty of that. Because the noise of

  157. the hardship is so overwhelming it makes me forget about

  158. God's past goodness in my life that happens in the

  159. present prosperity and luxury and pleasure that I'm living in.

  160. Sometimes that could drown out and make me forget God

  161. in the midst of my luxury and in the midst

  162. of my prosperity. But we must not forget God the

  163. same way that a little child does not forget their banky.

  164. And if they don't have a banky, you parents are

  165. in trouble. You better search high and low for that blanket.

  166. They know it's missing. I better know when I'm missing

  167. God in my life. I remember at our old property

  168. in Unica, I went to a meeting one night and Adam,

  169. a pastor. Adam wanted to come with me. And so

  170. you're just a little guy's probably about seven years old.

  171. And I went to this meeting and then I finished

  172. the meeting, and halfway home to South Ridge, Fontana, I

  173. realized I forgot Adam at church, and I had to

  174. turn around and go back and get him. I never

  175. told Lovely Cindy that or she would remember that till

  176. the day I died. So many of us have forgotten God.

  177. In the midst of our hardships, we forget God, in

  178. the midst of our prosperity, we forget about God. This

  179. chapter is all about challenging us not to forget about God.

  180. So here's the first point. The importance of all and

  181. not some. Notice what Joshua told them. You'll see him

  182. on the state. You'll see him on the screen night.

  183. Now he called for all twelve tribes to be represented.

  184. He said, I want Reuben.

  185. Are you here, all the tribe, all the people, Reuben,

  186. the Ruben Knightes, all the sons of Simon, all the

  187. children grandchildren Simon, Are you here, Levi, Judah, Dan Nephtalah,

  188. Dad Asher, Ishaikar, Zebelon, Joseph and Benjamin.

  189. All the tribes were there.

  190. And then he goes on and he says that the

  191. elders were there, the leaders were there, the judges were there,

  192. the officers were there. The importance of all being where

  193. they should be, rather than some. What am I trying

  194. to tell you? Are you with the people that God

  195. has called you to. Are you in the place that

  196. God has called you to? Are you living out the

  197. plan that God has called you to? Are you living

  198. to the purpose God has called you to? Because God

  199. required all of them to be present, not absent, not busy,

  200. not distracted.

  201. Excuse me, I can't make it.

  202. Everybody was in that place at that particular time. And

  203. there's an assigned place that God has us with, the

  204. assigned people that God has has us go to or

  205. live with, to be with, and he has assigned purpose

  206. for our lives. And you've got to understand that my

  207. life is not an accident. My life is not a mystery.

  208. My life is not a happenstance. God has a plan

  209. for my life, with a purpose for my life in

  210. the place God has me. And therefore I got to

  211. be moved if I am not where I should be.

  212. And so the reality was is that that all of

  213. them were there, And that to me is the power

  214. of being present versus being absent.

  215. It's the power of being present.

  216. Like when you were a little kid going through school,

  217. they call it your name and you have to say present,

  218. and if you didn't say present, they mark you absent.

  219. Where and when does God say your name, and you're

  220. supposed to say, present, what.

  221. Does that look like? You will never grow in faith

  222. and mature if you cannot define that.

  223. You have to understand where am I supposed to be present?

  224. And I cannot afford to be absent in that place.

  225. If you know a little about your Bible, Jesus after

  226. the resurrection was seen by five hundred, more than five

  227. hundred individuals. In other words, they would have seen him

  228. on Sunday when he died suspended between in heaven for

  229. six hours, they would have saw him. They saw him

  230. on Friday, they saw him on Sunday, and then after

  231. the resurrection, after three days, they would have saw him again.

  232. Five hundred people, five hundred witnesses song on the day

  233. of Pentecost, which would have been forty days after his resurrection.

  234. One hundred and twenty of them were present in the

  235. upper room. Where were the other three hundred and eighty.

  236. You just saw the resurrect of Jesus.

  237. You just saw him die, and now you see him

  238. walk in the streets, and he says, Terry and Jerusalem,

  239. wait in that upper room. You're not present, You're not there.

  240. Here's a great scripture in John I'll read it to you.

  241. It speaks a little bit about Thomas having said this,

  242. he showed them their hands and his side. So disciples

  243. rejoiced when they saw the Lord, but Thomas called the twin.

  244. One of the twelve was not with them when Jesus came. Absent, absent, absent, absent,

  245. not present, not present, not where he should be. They

  246. gotta tell him what happened that he doesn't know for himself.

  247. Please go on, Please, please go on. No, Okay, we

  248. can't go on. Let's see if I can find it.

  249. I'm sorry. No, I guess that's all I'm gonna get. Huh,

  250. Only that's it.

  251. Anyway, So I apologize.

  252. So basically, what that's saying is is that Jesus showed

  253. up to show his resurrected body. All ten of them

  254. were there, Judas had already died. The only one missing

  255. was Thomas. Thomas wasn't where he should have been. And

  256. so I want you to wreck the power of being present.

  257. The second thing is the power of unity versus disunity,

  258. the power of togetherness versus non togetherness, the power of

  259. agreement versus disagreement, the power of oneness versus being divided,

  260. the power of fellowship versus non fellowship, the power of

  261. community versus non community. They were all unified by being together.

  262. There was a sense of unity as Joshua, this old commander,

  263. this old general, this one that started as a young

  264. man as a servant of mo. Why was he chosen?

  265. Why was not Aaron chosen as the leader? Why was

  266. not Miriam chosen? Why was not or chosen? Why was

  267. it him that was chosen? And now he's an old man,

  268. And so we see here as he calls for everybody

  269. because he wants unity. God wants unity in our homes.

  270. God wants unity in our marriage. God wants unity in

  271. our nation. God wants unity in our church, and we

  272. need to strive for unity.

  273. Unity is always the place of power.

  274. There will never be no power of God in our

  275. lives where there's disunity. I remember early in my marriage,

  276. I told my wife we will not always agree on everything,

  277. but we must walk in unity. I'll share my opinion,

  278. you share your opinion. I'm not going to change your opinion.

  279. You won't change my opinion. I'll value all respect. But

  280. we must remain in unity and not allow any strife

  281. or any division, or any discord to divide us and

  282. if that means spending all night talking through why we

  283. believe what we believe or why we want to do

  284. what we do, then we're going to do that. And

  285. that has been the success of next month, forty two

  286. years of marriage. Is the unity that we possess. That's

  287. why me and lovely Cindy that devil hates us very

  288. powerful when we get together and pray God, here's our prayers.

  289. Because you recognize because Matthew eighteen eighteen says there's power

  290. in agreement through prayer. So I want you to recognize

  291. that the Bible talks about being put together, joined together,

  292. built together, members together, airs together, fitted together, held together.

  293. And brought up together.

  294. The Bible has everything to do with us being together

  295. as the body of Christ. The hand is not separated

  296. from the arm, the foot is not separated from the leg,

  297. the eye is not separated from the face. You cannot

  298. be separated from your brothers and sisters. Conania is required,

  299. Fellowship is required, serving together is required, responsibility and that's

  300. what he's calling them to here. And the third thing

  301. is the power of equals. Sacrifice breeds trusting relationships. Too

  302. many times we have some people sacrificing in other people

  303. can and back and watching. And when there's equal sacrifice,

  304. then you and I start trusting one another.

  305. I love the church.

  306. I've been part of the church for many, many years,

  307. but I recognize that sometimes we don't do things right

  308. within the church. I'm talking about the family of God,

  309. the Body of Christ, and oftentimes we don't have trusted

  310. relationships with one another, and we literally don't trust one

  311. another because we don't have equal sacrifice. We're not pulling

  312. our load. I'm working and you're watching, or you're working

  313. and I'm watching. You're given and I'm not given. You're

  314. praying and I'm not praying. So there will never be

  315. trusting relationships. So to get all these people here is

  316. the fact that everybody equally sacrifices. Wherever God tells us

  317. a sacrifice, we're going to sacrifice, and our prayers, We're

  318. to sacrifice as men of God to stay married to

  319. the white of our youth. And though that gets difficult

  320. sometimes and marriage is hard, I'm gonna stay married no

  321. matter what it takes. And if I endure and I

  322. and I hole fast, There'll come a time when I'll

  323. enjoy the harvest of that, but people don't think that way,

  324. and so you and I have to get to the

  325. point where we recognize there has to be equal sacrifice

  326. in our lives. Again, that Dodger game in the World Series,

  327. Game three, that took eighteen innings, six hours and thirty

  328. five minutes, went through ten pictures. Tyler Glaslow was the

  329. starting pitcher, but nine other pictures came after him. That

  330. game was won by ten pictures, not one picture, every

  331. one of them. When the call came, get out there,

  332. you're ready to get out there?

  333. I'm ready, I'm shit. They can't shut up and get

  334. out there.

  335. I know that's a little too hard, But when when

  336. the manager Jesus looks at you and say you're up,

  337. you got again. Took ten pictures. Equal sacrifice. Nobody's gonna

  338. pull my load. Nobody had listen. I'm a man.

  339. Ain't nobody gonna hold my hand.

  340. As for me and my house, we will serve lower.

  341. I'll raise my kids, all love, my wife all tied.

  342. I'll volunteer, I'll work. It's equal sacrifice. Equal sacrifice is

  343. the key here. I don't know if you've ever seen

  344. geese find I just love the unity and the formation

  345. I'll just stand up, and I mean so, I'll just

  346. look up and just enjoy the v formation of how

  347. they absolutely work together. The second thing is the importance

  348. of remembering and revisiting Shesham. This is where this meaning

  349. is gonna take place. It's going to take place in Shesham.

  350. It's literally in a valley. It's in a valley where

  351. this is taking place. But I'm going to take you

  352. to ask you where is your Shesham.

  353. And why she Sham? Why did he call him to

  354. this location? Why? Okay, well, we're gonna find out.

  355. I got to take you six hundred years before what

  356. you're about ready to see. See, they've already inherited the

  357. promises of God. They've already defeated everything, all the heights,

  358. they defer, all the Canaan Knites, they defeated.

  359. Okay, but I got to take.

  360. You six hundred years earlier, and we'll go to Genesis twelve,

  361. and I want to read this scripture to you. Abraham

  362. passed through the land to the site of Shesham, Oh

  363. my God, at the Oka Moraah, at the time the

  364. Canaan Knites were in the land. The Lord appeared to

  365. Abraham where in Shesham and said to your offspring, what

  366. I will give this land that Joshua's inheriting a six

  367. hundred year prophecy is being fulfilled. So he built an

  368. altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him

  369. at Shesham. We're a generation that have lost all traditions.

  370. Seems as though a generation has come and gone, and

  371. you and I have to fight for traditions places where

  372. we're going to build solemn memories for our children and

  373. our grandchildren to remind them and to rehearse God's goodness

  374. in our lives and who we are as a people,

  375. in the patriarchs and the matriarchs of our families that

  376. have built us. Go back to your Shesham. I can

  377. remember my Shesham. When I think of my spiritual life

  378. in Shesham, I think of the fact that in nineteen

  379. ninety four, in January, at big old time, I was

  380. sitting there and I had this little book from a

  381. place called Harrison House. Don't even know if Harrison House

  382. exists anymore, and I was thumbing through it as I

  383. was just buying time, says before the internet, a cell

  384. phone or anything like that, waiting for the tires to

  385. go on. And I saw this scripture in Isaiah forty three,

  386. eighteen and ninety. Maybe I've read it before, maybe not,

  387. But it was like I was hearing God, behold, I

  388. will do a new thing, saith the Lord. I'll make

  389. away in your wilderness and rivers in your deserts. I've

  390. called you to be a senior pastor. That's what I

  391. heard in my spirit. That was a Sheesha moment. It

  392. was a visitation from God. It was giving me divine direction.

  393. Little did I know in three months I would birth.

  394. We would birth by the spirit of God, Abundant Living

  395. Family Church in South Ridge, Fontana, in my home. I'll

  396. never forget it. I'll never forget be a big old tire.

  397. I'll never forget it. And you and I have to

  398. remember these moments when God came with vision in us.

  399. God came to birth direction in us. God came with

  400. a visitation in us. Shesham is the place where I

  401. met God. It's the place where God gave me a promise.

  402. And Sheisham is the place where God fulfilled his word

  403. to me. That's what Shesham met to them as they

  404. sat there and said, our great grandfather, whoever it might

  405. be Abraham was here one day he built this altar,

  406. and God told him that we would inherit the land

  407. six hundred years ago.

  408. And look what the Lord has done. We have inherited

  409. the land.

  410. Wow, what a reason to praise God at that particular point.

  411. The importance of reflection over your life from beginning till now,

  412. that's what they were doing since. Because as you go

  413. through this text here, I'm going to try to do

  414. this very very quickly. He rehearses their history for them,

  415. just in case they forgot, or if they didn't forget,

  416. they needed to be reminded.

  417. So he is going to take them down a road from.

  418. The fact that where they began to where they are now.

  419. He said, I want to take you back to the

  420. beginning of Tara.

  421. Tarah was a pagan idol.

  422. Worshiper who didn't know me, and I saved his son Abraham,

  423. and I birthed a nation and you people from him.

  424. Today. I want to remind you of that, your beginnings.

  425. So I want to talk to you about he says,

  426. I want to name Tara Abram, Isaac Jacob, isa isa Isa.

  427. I want to talk to you about Egypt, Moses Aaron.

  428. I defeated Egypt. I brought you out of the Red

  429. Sea Egyptian Sherits. I destroyed the darkness between you and them.

  430. I drowned people in the Red Sea. I brought you

  431. through the wilderness. We defeated the Amorits Balak Balem, and

  432. you were blessed. And then you went through the Jordan,

  433. and then you conquered the Jericho and the Parasites, Canaanites,

  434. the Hivites, the Gergisites, the Hivites, the Jebusites. All this

  435. I did for you. Don't forget it. Absolutely, don't forget

  436. my goodness to you. Don't forget my mercy to you,

  437. and don't forget my loving kindness to you. And I

  438. was with you after event after event after event, stage

  439. after stage after stage, episode after episode.

  440. In your life.

  441. Seventy one times. In the Book of Psalms, you'll see

  442. this word see law. The word selah means to pause

  443. for reflection and give honor and praise to God.

  444. We need to.

  445. Have more sela moments in our lives that just stop

  446. and say, look what the Lord has done. I was

  447. a Mexican from Mantaballo that had a one point eight

  448. GPA so much issues in my life, and I'm not

  449. here today because of my intellect, my looks, or any skill.

  450. I'm here by the providence of God. I'm here that

  451. God orchestrated in my life. The hand of God is

  452. on me. And I never ever want to take glory.

  453. I never want to take honor, and I never want to.

  454. Take praise for it. I always want to give it back.

  455. Is there anybody like me in this room? That's what

  456. he's doing. He reminding them of the South Central days.

  457. He's reminding them of the prison days, the drug days,

  458. the alcoholic days, the promiscuity days, El Central days. That's

  459. what I was thinking of. El Central, South Central, Al

  460. Central doesn't matter. He's reminding you of the immigrant and

  461. you used to be. And nobody in your family had

  462. an education, nobody's owned their own home, nobody graduated from college.

  463. I'm gonna take you back.

  464. To your origin today so that you could see how

  465. far you are and how far I've come in your

  466. life for because of my goodness and my mercy and

  467. my kindness that had did that for you. He takes

  468. them down this journey of the providences in the stages

  469. of God. I don't know about you. You could see him,

  470. but they may not be revealed to you. I could

  471. see the providence of God.

  472. In my life.

  473. I could just see the turns he took me down,

  474. the things. Showing up to be a sheriff, Nope, you're

  475. not going to be a sheriff, don't pass the time.

  476. Show up to be a marine, Nope, you're not going

  477. to be a marine. Shut that thing down. Show up

  478. to be a professional trial, and shut that thing. If

  479. that would have if if that would have went, I

  480. wouldn't have been here, or we would have delayed it,

  481. or I could have died somewhere.

  482. It was the hand of God that shut those doors.

  483. I was supposed to be at UCLA under a running scarp.

  484. God shut that thing down. I had an injury that

  485. ended it. It was I would have never met Cindy.

  486. I would have never done that. The career would have

  487. went a whole different way. I told Cindy when I

  488. dated her, we wanted to go to the mountains together.

  489. I didn't want to go to the mountains. I didn't

  490. want to I didn't want to date this girl. I

  491. wanted to go off the Bible school. I didn't want

  492. nothing to do with her. I kind of got looped

  493. into it. She invited herself to go on vacation with me.

  494. And that's a gospel truth, no matter what she says,

  495. because my mom and dad could verify it because I

  496. lived in their home. And I said, I don't want

  497. to go on. I don't want to go to Big

  498. Bear with this girls. I don't want to go on

  499. with this girl. My dad said, well, you better call

  500. her up right because she's I told her we're.

  501. Gonna go, and so she said, he what are we

  502. gonna eat?

  503. I said, I don't know. She said, why don't I

  504. go to the market and get us some food? And

  505. I said okay, and I hung up the phone. I

  506. hung up the phone and I looked at home. I

  507. don't want to go out with this girl. I don't

  508. know what I'm doing. I don't want her to my life.

  509. He said, you better pick up that.

  510. Phone and call.

  511. Not more than a minute later, I picked up the

  512. phone one ringing, digging to bring in and she didn't

  513. pick up.

  514. If she would have picked up, there would have been

  515. non Nathan, Caleb or Adam. It wouldn't have happened. Can you.

  516. I don't know if you could. Can you see the

  517. destiny of God in your life? Can you see?

  518. Because I could go back and I could tell you

  519. story after story after story after story. You may think

  520. it's happenstance. You may think it's coincidence. I know it's

  521. the divine orchestration of God that has gotten me where

  522. I'm at today. And I want to I'm not gonna

  523. take glory, and I'm not gonna take honor, and I'm

  524. not gonna get praised.

  525. I'm gonna give it all back to God. But because there.

  526. Was nothing but him, he deserves it. And I'm gonna

  527. tell my children, and I'm gonna tell my grandchildren, and

  528. I'm gonna tell my great grandchildren and gonna.

  529. Tell all generations. So you see.

  530. So he says this amazing, and it was highlighted, but

  531. not all of them were highlighted. At least eleven times

  532. he said, I took you, I gave you, I defeated,

  533. I brought, I did, I handed, I annihilated, I would

  534. not allow.

  535. I rescued you, I sent you, I gave you. No

  536. I I ah, there ain't no U.

  537. Wheeze us is in that the only thousands of people

  538. in a valley. He's saying, I want to remind it

  539. was God. God said, I did it. I did it.

  540. I did it. I did it. You didn't do jack

  541. deadly nothing.

  542. I did it. I delivered you.

  543. I healed you, I rescued you, I bless you. I

  544. got that you, I got you that job, I got

  545. you that house.

  546. I healed you, I delivered you. I'm the one who

  547. did it. Now you owe me. You owe me the

  548. rest of your life.

  549. You owe me your praise, your worshipers.

  550. Your heart, your money, your love. I did that for you, God, Satan,

  551. you didn't build that house. I built that. God said.

  552. Everything was by My hand of mercy. That what are

  553. he telling them right there in the valley, all those eyes.

  554. Here's a quote on the screen. When we build our

  555. lives around eyes, we are being influenced and acting like

  556. the devil. When instead of God being the eye, you

  557. start being the eye. Then let me tell you who

  558. you're acting like. In Isaiah, in verse number fourteen, here

  559. we go. You want to see Lucifer. You want to

  560. see the devil before he fell to this earth.

  561. Here you go.

  562. You said to yourself, Ah, I will ascend to the heavens.

  563. This is this is This is Lucifer, Who's Satan?

  564. He said, Ah, I will ascend to the A. I

  565. will set my throne above the stars.

  566. Ah.

  567. I will sit on the mount of God's assembly, in

  568. the remost parts of the north. I I will ascend

  569. above the highest clouds.

  570. I will make myself like the most art You fool,

  571. you fool. That's why he fell. So I was kicked

  572. out of heaven.

  573. And when you and I start taking the eye credit,

  574. you acting like the devil, full of arrogance, full of conceitedness,

  575. and full of pride. I don't want no eyes in me.

  576. All the glory and all the honor goes to him.

  577. Why would I not serve him?

  578. Why would I not give him ten percent of my money?

  579. He could have all of it if he wanted. But

  580. see there's an eye. You won't give him ten percent

  581. as my money, My my mine. Oh oh, let's close

  582. this out while you still like me.

  583. But that's.

  584. He goes through that. The last thing that I think

  585. is pretty important. There's a thought. And maybe you've seen

  586. this before. If you see a turtle on a fence pole,

  587. if you ever see this, know that the turtle didn't

  588. get up there by himself, and we're like that turtle.

  589. God put us on the he elevated us, he promoted.

  590. You couldn't climb that pole if you wanted to. You

  591. couldn't live in that neighborhood if you wanted to. You

  592. couldn't make that money if you wanted. You couldn't have

  593. married that woman that if you want, You couldn't have

  594. those kids if you wanted to.

  595. Knucklehead, that you are fool, that we all are stupid,

  596. that we all.

  597. Are so loving God that reached down to that mire

  598. pit and washed us clean and made us righteous, and

  599. gave us the mind of Christ, gave us a new

  600. heart and put his spirit upon us.

  601. And I never want to forget that. And so the.

  602. Last point is this the importance? He ends with this,

  603. in verse number fourteen. He uses this word therefore, so

  604. he ends with this, in verse fourteen, can you give

  605. me that?

  606. There we go? He says, Therefore, what is there for? There?

  607. For?

  608. He says, because of all that I just said, I

  609. want to bring a conclusion to that. I'm about ready

  610. to drop the mic.

  611. Josh Wa, I say, get ready, I'm about better to

  612. drop the mic, ready to walk off the stage. Get ready,

  613. here we go. Curtain's going to close right now. You know,

  614. porky Pig's going to come out. That's all, folks, that's it,

  615. he said. Here's the inclusion of the matter.

  616. Listen to me. I'm gonna give you the summary. Now

  617. here's the summary.

  618. Guys, Fear the Lord, Honor him, reverence him, love him,

  619. worship him, Serve him.

  620. With sincerity and truth.

  621. Get rid of the gods, get rid of your idols,

  622. get rid of sin, get rid of flesh that your

  623. ancestors worshiped, and worship the Lord. This is the summation

  624. of it. Because God's been so good to you. Will

  625. you fear the Lord because God's been good to you.

  626. Will you worship the Lord because God's been good to you.

  627. Will you get rid of the sin and the idols that.

  628. Are in your life.

  629. Then you'll guarantee a blessed ending and a blessed future.

  630. But he ends with this, he says, but you got

  631. to do it with sincerity and truth, because I can

  632. almost do anything without sincerity. I can I can stay

  633. married to a wife without and without sincerity. I can

  634. kids without sincerity. I could preach without sincerity. You could

  635. go to work without sincerity. But the Bible says, whatsoever

  636. you do, do it as unto the Lord with all

  637. your heart.

  638. So God wants true.

  639. Truth is obedience, he said, I want obedience from you.

  640. I don't want lift service.

  641. Truth is a life of obedience that you obey what

  642. my word says.

  643. But I want sincerity. I want your whole heart given

  644. to me my whole heart.

  645. So in biblical times, and during the time in which

  646. the Bible was written, there were merchants, and merchants would

  647. line in the streets of let's just say Jerusalem, already

  648. major city, and they'd be selling pottery and a lot.

  649. Some of them were not always sincere. Some of them

  650. were insincere. Some of them were like connivers and thieves,

  651. and they wanted to do you over.

  652. And so a good shot when he saw.

  653. A pot that he wanted, he would lift it up

  654. to the sun and the sun light, the beams of

  655. the sun would shine through the pot, and it would

  656. expose cracks that had been filled by wax. And so

  657. he was selling it off as something that was strong

  658. or whole. But it was insinceos. It was insincere. We

  659. sometimes can cover up our lives with wax. But God

  660. lifts us up in the sun, and he said, oh, no, no, no, no, no, no,

  661. You're not going to sell yourself off that way. You

  662. need to repent, you need to get right, You need

  663. to get rid of those things. Don't fake it, don't pretend,

  664. don't try to sell yourself off as not being what

  665. you should be. So he challenges us, and he ends,

  666. live a life of truth and live a life of sincerity. Father,

  667. I thank you for the message today, and I pray

  668. that it resonates in the hearts of every single person

  669. here today. May we not take credit for your goodness

  670. in our life lives. God, it's nothing but your mercy

  671. that we are where we are at today. Maybe not

  672. forget who you are. We could forget in hard times,

  673. we could forget in prosperity times. But we can't take

  674. credit for anything in our lives. The car we drove

  675. up in today God, the clothes that we are wearing God,

  676. the education that we have, the looks that we have,

  677. the possessions we have have called come from the hand

  678. of God. All our victories, all the intersections of our lives.

  679. We recognize You were in charge all the time.

  680. God.

  681. How do we live for a God that's loved us

  682. so great. We just thank you today, Oh God, that

  683. we can I pray that I just end this service

  684. with a special prayer for people that if they have

  685. not seen the providence of God in their lives, the

  686. orchestration of God, would you open their eyes and show

  687. them how you made intersections in their lives and they

  688. made ninety degree turns of God, and you made things

  689. happen in their lives that they could not have done

  690. on their own, so that they could stop for a

  691. moment and have a se law moment where they pause

  692. and reflect, Wow, God has been really really good to me,

  693. and I'm grateful in Jesus' name.

  694. Amen.

  695. As we get ready to leave this church on a

  696. Wednesday service and I turned it over to Gabe, I.

  697. Just want to challenge you today.

  698. Jesus said this, I'm the Way, the truth, and the life.

  699. No man comes to the Father but by me, the

  700. way of the world and the way of religion. Is

  701. this all roads lead to Rome. You guys, believe in

  702. your Jesus. We believe in our Muhammad, we believe in

  703. our Buddha, we believe in our Hadi Krishna.

  704. We believe in our Hindu You know what.

  705. All that matters is that you believe in a higher being,

  706. whatever his name is, All roads lead to the same place. Well,

  707. you know what, That sounds cute, but it's untrue because

  708. Jesus said this, I am the way, not a way.

  709. If he said I'm away, he would have opened the

  710. door for every other little guru, god and theorist out there.

  711. But he was absolute. He said I am the Way,

  712. which meant I am the only way. I'm the only truth,

  713. and I'm the only life. And here's what I know

  714. about mankind. Everybody's trying to figure out the right way

  715. to live. They're trying to figure out who's truth, what

  716. is truth, and they're trying to figure out what's going

  717. to happen after the day they die, And all that.

  718. Is summed up in Jesus.

  719. He's the only one that can guarantee the way, the truth,

  720. and the life in your life. And so today, if

  721. you tried every other means to try to get close

  722. to God or run from God and never really submitted

  723. to who he is, today is your day of submission.

  724. Or say I'm a Christian servant the Lord, but I

  725. feel like something's missing in my life. And you talked

  726. about those five hundred, you talked about the one hundred

  727. and twenty being filled with the Holy Spirit. I want

  728. to get filled with the Holy Spirit. Or you know what,

  729. I've done some things in the last few hours forty

  730. eight hours last week that I need to just repent

  731. from for any of these things. If you raise your hand,

  732. We're going to pray for you right now. Don't be

  733. a shamed one two one two three, raise your hand

  734. all across this auditorium. Just say this prayer. Dear Jesus,

  735. I need you forgive me of my sins, help me

  736. to follow you. I want everything that you have for me.

  737. Change my heart and save me in Jesus' name.

  738. Amen. Amen.

  739. If you guys said that prayer, we have a free

  740. resource for you. If you go to grow dot Faith,

  741. you'll be able to download a free book which just

  742. outlines what do you do now that you're a Christian?

  743. What do you do now that you're serving Jesus rim

  744. Bio founding pastor Pastor Diego who just preached to you

  745. guys right now. But we just want to give you

  746. those next steps on what do you do now?

  747. Amen?

  748. Did you guys have a good time here at church tonight.

  749. All right, we're all gonna leave together right now. Let

  750. me pray for us, and then if you need any

  751. additional prayer or anything like that, we'll have our elders

  752. and deacons and our prayer team up here at the front.

  753. We want to believe God with you. If you need.

  754. Prayer for something you're going through, anything like that, you

  755. need a breakthrough in your life, we're going to be

  756. praying for you up here at the front. If you

  757. need that as well, Let's pray together, and then we're

  758. going to leave together. God, we come before you right now.

  759. We just thank you Lord for bringing us here tonight. God.

  760. We thank you for the word that you had for

  761. us in our hearts. Lord, we pray that we're able

  762. to keep that in our hearts as we leave to

  763. this place in Jesus' name.

  764. Amen. Amen. Hope to see you guys soon.
