speaker-0: And hello, my name is Dale and this is my wife, Marina May.
-
speaker-1: Hi everyone.
-
speaker-0: Some of you may know us, but we're broadcasting actually all over the world with this live production. Is that what we can call it? It's not going to be a ⁓ regular church service ⁓ as such. We're just coming on just to help you get to know us, explain a little bit about who we are. the direction, the steps we're gonna be taking with Atlin Family Church. And yeah.
-
speaker-1: Yeah, what's on our heart to teach and equip you.
-
speaker-0: Absolutely. We do have live chat. There's a lot of tech that was coming into play. I'm hoping we have all the different buttons. Yeah, if not, well, we'll try again next week.
-
speaker-1: working? Yeah, it's a learning curve.
-
speaker-0: Yeah, absolutely. it's exciting to take this step. And how it all started is actually, God woke me up in the middle of the night and gave me the steps to get Atlan Family Church moving forward. I put the admin part of it in place. We had applied for the charitable status. It was just... Going along, you know, kind of behind the scenes, we'd started the website. And now at this point, the charitable status is in place. We are a full registered charity. And what that means is as people donate, we can give a tax receipt. So, yeah, added benefit for sure. But the, you know, that's, that's what it takes to get the word out to, ⁓ you know, pay for technology.
-
speaker-1: everyone out.
-
speaker-0: cover the expenses of the church is money, unfortunately. It's a tool, that's what it is. so that part's all in place. Pretty excited about that. And today, we can start with sharing some videos. Or do you want to say some more about who we are?
-
speaker-1: We, you'll learn over time who we are, if you don't know us already. We're, ⁓ both grew up on farms, ⁓ had to work hard. ⁓ Yes, yeah, lots of that. ⁓ Both Dale and I met in grade five. If you haven't heard that story already, his little school moved to our bigger school.
-
speaker-0: Dirty fingernails?
-
speaker-1: which still wasn't a big school. But yeah, we met in high school, sweethearts, all that sort of thing. And we've been married now 42 years.
-
speaker-0: Yeah, think grade five actually. Yeah, I said, did you? There it is proof. I don't listen all the time. I was watching other screens and seeing if everything was working. But yeah, so it's been an exciting journey, ⁓ ups and downs. You know, we've learned some by the school of hard knocks as they say, ⁓ but our biggest
-
speaker-1: time. ⁓
-
speaker-0: or greatest advancement in knowing who we are in our walk with God came when we attended Bible school back in 2000.
-
speaker-1: 99 2000. Yeah
-
speaker-0: graduated in 2000. And from since then, we've been reading, behind me you can see some books. So self-taught study, primarily from the Word of God, obviously. And yeah, so we've come to know some things. We've experienced some things. ⁓
-
speaker-1: Well, and there's so much more online now. You can go to school online for sure.
-
speaker-0: Yeah, for sure. And, you know, our heart is to, and we'll talk about this a little bit more coming up with some slides that we have to offer. But to teach you how to develop the personal relationship with God Almighty, the creator of the universe. And I mean, that's where the rubber meets the road. That's reality is hearing his voice, acting on on what he asks you to do and then expecting all the provision that he has for us, whether that be the finances, the anointing for ⁓ laying hands on the sick and seeing them recover according to the word. ⁓ Yeah, so it becomes real. It becomes more than just a Sunday church service, you know, once a week.
-
speaker-1: a moment by moment relationship. that's what that's definitely what we're
-
speaker-0: Yeah, for sure. So we'll be talking some more about that, but let's go to some slides at this point and we'll. continue from there. So that's the hub of our ministry. ⁓ If that's one way to put it, atlantfamilychurch.ca. And what that is is it's our main website. That's where we'll be uploading this video for archive viewing eventually, as as possible. ⁓ But yeah, there'll be different teaching. You can keep in the loop as to what Atlin Family Church is doing. And at the moment, as you can see, it says Atlin Family Church online. And that's, that was a step that the Lord had led me to do is to start online, allow people an opportunity to get to know us, just taking it step by step. ⁓ Obviously, you know, we really do desire to have a church group here in Atlin, BC. That's in Canada for those that are not aware. And that's something we're working towards. How quickly that'll come, that is completely in God's timing. So our purpose, you know, just as it reads, it's to teach the Word of God. And that primarily is from the Bible. ⁓ We keep it simple. We don't add ⁓ different religious sounding words. You know, we just don't talk that way. So we don't teach that way. We don't have, you know, certain, you know, maybe you've been to a church where they had a real ceremony. style of worship. We grew up in the Catholic Church or early part of our lives. for me, when I first started, I wasn't sure if I should stand up, sit down, if I should say something. ⁓ there was different rules during this or practices during the service that could be a challenge. It can be uncomfortable if you're not used to that and wondering what the purposes are. ⁓ We're a non-denominational church, so we're gonna be more like, down at the coffee table or kitchen table and let's just have a conversation about who we have come to know God as and our experiences. And again, you know, teaching as we present it will increase your faith. And that's that's where really the relationship comes alive is when you get it in your heart and you start to act on it. know, reading God's word, seeing who he has ⁓ in his word replaced within him. And so in Christ, you'll hear that a lot. And really, what's that mean? Yeah. Empowered by the Holy Spirit. There's power in the Christian walk. And frankly, if we don't have that, ⁓ it's impossible really to walk the Christian walk because the world we're living in is changing so much. ⁓ And you can feel hopeless if you don't have real power.
-
speaker-1: asking Him when you read your Bible, hopefully you start reading it every day, but asking God, Jesus, to reveal Himself to you through ⁓ the Word, which is ⁓ the Bible.
-
speaker-0: That's when that relationship really started to develop. And then, you know, I've had it happen in the grocery store. We're just doing different things around the home here and it'll just be like a conversation. Hey, you should do this. You should do that. And, you know, we're not special. We are called to pastor. But that day-to-day communication with God is what He desires. Really, that's how, you know, as we develop that ear to hear his voice, we are going to, you know, first of all, increase the relationship, develop that relationship, but we're going to be doing and saying things that he planned from the foundation of the world for us to be doing and saying and going. Not sure how much more I can put into that one. So questions, what do we teach? Well, we've talked a little bit about that. ⁓ The big one that as I put this in, will it be like other churches that I've attended? No, no, it ⁓ won't be. And the reason I say that is we, and I are individuals and God called us knowing our personalities, knowing our faults, knowing our ⁓ giftings and that's unique. our church and our group, as God leads you ⁓ to either attend with us online or in person at some point, is going to be unique to the body of Atlin Family Church. And like we'd mentioned before, we're not going to be into the ceremonial worship as much. It's going to be just more family. Just getting to know each other.
-
speaker-1: Then adding to that each as you come and attend, ⁓ that makes a whole different dynamic. ⁓ Every church is a little different. Even your regular denominational churches are different because of who is pastoring and because of who is attending. it's fun and it's interesting. It can be challenging, but ⁓ yeah, no church is alike.
-
speaker-0: Yeah, and actually I've heard it put this way that if you actually do find a perfect church, as soon as you attend, or I should put it this way, as soon as I attend, it's no longer perfect. No. So, you know, it's going to be made up of a group of people that are just, you know, trying to make it through this life the best they can, making mistakes, but having victories as well. And that's the exciting part is we get to share that as a family. And, you know, when one person is going through something, that's where the family can just help them along, keep them strong so that they don't feel alone.
-
speaker-1: for sure.
-
speaker-0: As I've mentioned a little bit, one thing you won't hear in Atlin Family Church is religious rules or man's tradition. There are some churches out there that have developed over time based primarily on tradition and then different religious rules is what really separates the different churches. So it can be if you're just coming into the Christian walk and learning some things, it can be pretty confusing. You know, why are there so many churches? Why do they all seem a little different? And it can be because there's different man-made rules or, like it said, you know, history, different things like that. We will strive to stick to the Word of God. And the Word of God, the Bible, says, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He never changes. So if we stick to that, we should be in pretty good ground, right? Yeah. So we are called as pastors. Myself, I'm pastoring full time at this point. Rene May is working here in town. And our main responsibility is to teach. It's to teach the word of God so that you can become stronger in your faith walk. ⁓ You can start to do what the word says you can do in confidence, knowing that as you step out, God's anointing will work through you. And He's all about getting glorified in doing the work through us. It's not about us. It's about Him working through us. And that's where the word says, you you lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. There's a part that we do and there's a part that God does. Go ahead.
-
speaker-1: Definitely we are, as it says, the body of Christ. So ⁓ we, because we're here on earth and ⁓ He works through us, we are to do His work and carry out what He wants us to do.
-
speaker-0: Yeah, and really, as the scripture says that I have on that, you know, it refers to scripture as it's continuing the ministry of Jesus. Now that He's gone back and is seated at the right hand of the Father, we are, as Christians, His hands, His feet, His voice here on earth.
-
speaker-1: led by the Holy Spirit.
-
speaker-0: And here's our job title. Yes. So, go into all the world, preach the good news. That's what we're doing. We're starting a church. We'll be sharing and teaching the Word, which is the good news. ⁓ As it says, anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. Not everybody understands the salvation message. We'll be responding on that a little bit as we go. ⁓ Miraculous signs will accompany those who believe. This is where you start to ⁓ lose some folks, I guess, because they read the word and go, ⁓ well, that was for back then. No, the word never changes. So as we teach the word, as we speak the word and act on the word, and we believe it, we will expect to see miraculous signs as well as you as you step into it. ⁓ And then we go on to some exciting things that we can all do. We can cast out demons. Yes, demons are real. We can speak new languages that I believe is referring to being baptized in the Holy Spirit and speaking with the evidence of tongues or the gift of tongues, which can be a known language to others, but not to ourselves. And again, we'll teach some more on that. And we'll be able to handle snakes or do different things that could be risky. But as we read the word, we find out that, okay, we are protected. As long as we're not testing that, we're not jumping off tall buildings or ⁓ doing probably heli-skiing. be an area that I would really ⁓ need to be told by God that that would be a protected thing. Not sorry, heli ski, ski operators, but yeah, when we purposely put ourselves in danger, ⁓ you know, and I understand with that sport, you can work your way up to that so that you can have lessen the risk for sure.
-
speaker-1: Yeah.
-
speaker-0: That's something to say.
-
speaker-1: If they drink anything poisonous, it won't hurt them. And again, I don't believe that that's purposely testing God in that. But if there was something poisonous in the drink by faith, it won't hurt you.
-
speaker-0: We're covered for the unknown, is how I like to put it. And really, this last part, they'll be able to place their hands on the sick and they will be healed. That is a place that I don't believe the churches as a whole are stepping into their place. mean, here's, we're being told, we're being commanded to expect this. And so with Atlin Family Church, we certainly believe it. We act on it. And so if you have sickness in your body and you've been struggling with it, we will be teaching on that and we will be laying hands on you and we will be expecting recovery. And that's something that does take a little more teaching and a little more understanding to fully get it in from our mind into our heart. And that's where it's received. But over time, we'll certainly be looking into that, or teaching more on that. So, as we said, it's a place you can come, learn more about God. And what we find, there's a lot of people know that there is a God. And so, learning more about that God that you've heard about is the first place you start, most people start in their journey towards their relationship. But it's the relationship is where the power comes. And that's where we strive at Atlan Family Church to help you develop that relationship. That can sometimes start with forgiveness of God. You know, maybe something happened in our lives and we blame God. I know I've been there. But the other side of that is forgiving ourselves. We've all had a past. We all have history. And sometimes it can be hard to forgive ourselves for mistakes that we've done. And so that's a part of freeing ourselves up or forgiving others. And that's a freedom in that as well, which as we've been taught, that begins with a choice. So ⁓ we'll be definitely teaching on forgiveness and the power in that.
-
speaker-1: So Atlan Family Church is your church family that allows you to come as you are with no race, culture, no religious ideals to hinder your growth in Jesus. ⁓ As you can tell, we're pretty casual. ⁓ You don't have to come with a suit and dress on. More more churches are becoming more casual just so people are maybe a little bit more comfortable to ⁓ receive the good news and really listen and absorb. But going on, ⁓ there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and in all and living through all. And you can find that in the book of Ephesians chapter four, verses five through six.
-
speaker-0: Yeah, the way I read that and understand that is it doesn't matter what color our skin is. It doesn't matter where we live in the world. It doesn't matter if we're poor or rich. The same God is Lord over all of us. ⁓ Faith in Him and His Word will produce the same results for anyone, anywhere, regardless of who they are. And that's a... ⁓ pretty freeing and exciting if you've been in a mindset that, not me, I've been too bad or I'm poor or the colour of my skin or whatever it is. One Lord, one faith, one Bastion, one God, Father of all.
-
speaker-1: So Atlin Family Church ⁓ is your home again, ⁓ where you are encouraged and supported to be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. ⁓ Are we always perfect? No, but we strive to do that as pastors. Sometimes encouragement can be ⁓ correction. Sometimes support can be a correction in your thinking or how you're doing things. But the end result is always strive to be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from our Creator God.
-
speaker-0: Yeah, and so the support aspect too of the family ⁓ can be when we have done nothing wrong. Yeah. Or nothing that we know of wrong. Yeah. But life still has come against us and we find ourselves in a place that we just need a little help. We need a friend. Yes. And we all face persecution. There's an enemy out there. We call him Satan. ⁓ Though we'll definitely be teaching on that too because the more we know of our enemy, the better equipped we're going to be in a better position to avoid ⁓ being in... the bad spots, the lowest parts of our lives, the attacks, all those things, whether it be attack on our family or our health or finances, those are all from our enemy. And that's something that comes with teaching of the word, knowledge of what God has done for us and how he's protected us from that. And we can have freedom from that.
-
speaker-1: So Atlan Family Church is a church family that strives to help you live a life worthy of your calling because each and every one of us has been called by God, our creator, to do something. Maybe it's you feel that your calling is an artist. Maybe your calling is a business person. It doesn't always have to be right there in the church because God has given us gifts and anointings in different areas. So we just want to help you learn that and carry it out for the glory of God.
-
speaker-0: Yeah, your gift, one of your gifts may be just encouragement or visiting people that are housebound. That is very important to God. It's a calling. It's a gifting, and only you can do it the way you can do it. So once you find that, whatever that is, that's going to be your happy place. That's where you're going to feel most fulfilled. ⁓ know, as we give, we're blessed too.
-
speaker-1: Yeah, it is.
-
speaker-0: So, you we don't do it so that we're blessed. We do it to bless others. But that that's just our God. You know, he gives back sometimes more than we give, actually.
-
speaker-1: for sure.
-
speaker-0: So some of the topics, and this is just a random, know, some of the topics that came to my mind and my heart as I was putting the slides together. But the born again experience ⁓ from that eternal redemption of our spirits, that means we're going to be living in heaven for eternity. I know as a human that's hard to comprehend with our human brain. ⁓ Likewise, there's an eternal hell. And how do we avoid that? ⁓ You know, how does that fit into the Word of God and how it all works? I should have shut my notifications off. I see. ⁓ Baptism in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. We touched on that earlier. That really is the power to live the Christian life. ⁓ This is where you start some churches don't teach the entirety or the full gospel in this respect. It is real. Both Remy and I are baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. And that really, since that experience, it's opened up our awareness of the Word, the revelation of the Word. ⁓ It's just really been a benefit. to our Christian walk. And so we will be teaching on that a lot. ⁓ And then there's the real church versus church groups and buildings. Again, that can be confusing to people that are just starting to ⁓ seek their, ⁓ you know, more information as to what it's all about, knowing God and, you know, going to church. ⁓ The real church, I'll just give you a little hint. That is the group of Christians that truly believe in their heart that Jesus came for them, died on the cross, was buried, rose again, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. So, you know, that's a very basic starting point of being a Christian. And when individuals believe that in their heart and they speak it with their mouth, they become a part of the real church. Now from there, you may attend a local church. That's highly recommended. But there is a difference. The real church, the Church of God, the Bride of Christ, you know, as we teach, the Bible talks about, ⁓ you know, looking at it different ways. But it's really just a group of people that have made a decision that Christ died for them.
-
speaker-1: And the real church is around the world. It's a global church too. It can be as small as church groups, but that's just a part of the real church. ⁓ It's not all about the building. ⁓ There are beautiful buildings that have been built as churches, but that's just where we go. to meet sometimes ⁓ and worship the Lord, but it should be bigger than that is what we're saying. We'll teach more on that as we go, but ⁓ we also will be teaching on healing, which is a huge part ⁓ and supernatural health, but it is a big part of our walk with the Lord, as is prosperity. ⁓ prosperity in every area of our life. That includes ⁓ a good family relationship, a good ⁓ husband-wife relationship. Prosperity takes in also ⁓ finances because finances, we all need finances to pay bills and ⁓ get groceries, but it's Prosperity is a tool and it shouldn't be the end all be all of our life.
-
speaker-0: It is all part of the big picture though that God has provided for us.
-
speaker-1: Well, something froze. Oh, there we go.
-
speaker-0: So prayer, obviously that's communication with God directly. And that is something that is really on our heart. A praying family is a strong family. A praying church is a strong church. so, and there's many different kinds of prayer as well. So, you we will be touching on that as time goes on. And part of the praying, That's really us talking to God, but sometimes people miss it and they don't stop and let God speak back to them. And like somebody said, the reason we have two ears and one mouth is so we listen twice as much as we speak. ⁓ yes, God does speak. He speaks directly to us. ⁓ He speaks. He's speaking to everyone, but it's kind of, I guess the way I explain it is it's like a broadcaster of a radio station.
-
speaker-1: right.
-
speaker-0: they're always putting out that broadcast. But unless we tune our radio, it won't do us any good. So our radio being our hearing, we need to tune in and the word says we need to lean into to hear his voice. And, you know, it takes practice. But once we hear it and recognize it, ⁓ as the word says, the voice of a stranger we will not follow. So some of these bad thoughts that we have coming into our mind and that, you know, would definitely not be from God, that is from our enemy. And so knowing the difference over time certainly ⁓ gives you that... you know, just a good place to live out life. And then, yeah, you might be in the wrong area. He may want you to take a different job. He may want you to drop some things you've been doing in your life to free up some time. You know, whatever it may be, He knows the best for us. And so hearing His voice certainly, it can, well, it can be part of healing too, is, you know, He may say, the reason you have this is because you're doing this. And so it's, you know, that's part of the divine. healing. ⁓ and was going to mention also when you talked ⁓ about the healing part of it and the natural, I think you've mentioned the natural products. No. ⁓ okay. I'll put this in there. The part of divine health is eating healthy. And that's something that's really on Rita May's heart is to teach home remedies ⁓ through herbal, you know, different things we've even picked around out in here. ⁓ making soaps, making deodorants, lip balms. ⁓ That's just the beginning, right?
-
speaker-1: keeping things simple, I guess, and more natural. yeah, I believe that is also a part of God speaking to me and me hearing His voice for myself. But yeah, like, we'll go on. ⁓ Some of the other things that we'll teach on, deliverance from evil spirits, there is that. ⁓ It still happens that evil spirits can affect us and have influence over us. It happened in the Bible. It's still continuing. we can, Jesus has provided our deliverance from that if we accept it and walk it, help walk that out. But witchcraft also, that kind of plays into the same type of thing and ⁓ our power over it. we do have authority over any demonic ⁓ realm or influence, so witchcraft is a part of it, and something we shouldn't be afraid of, but we should be aware of as well. ⁓ But the church and the power we have in the name of Jesus and what he provided for us, that kind of ⁓ goes along with all of that. And we'll also be teaching ⁓ laying hands, the laying on of hands and the anointing power. There again, there are so many examples in the Bible of people laying hands on others and the anointing, ⁓ transferring the power of God coming on them. Another topic that we can explore and teach on is gifts of the spirit. So there's all those different gifts. We can teach a lot more on that in the future.
-
speaker-0: Absolutely. So, definitely that's something that we have walked out. We will be married in October. It was 42 years. So, you didn't see me on camera, but I did look to verify it was 42. But yeah, so we've known each other a long time. We'd mentioned before we met in grade five. So there's some things that we have done and experienced that can help you in your current situation or your future marriage. We'll certainly be doing small groups with that, either online or ⁓ in person. We'll just take that one step at a time. And then the family dynamics, husbands, wives, children, how that all works together and what we can do as a family to better equip ourselves in the world that we live today. I'm not sure if you noticed, but our world is changing from what it was five years ago. And so we're facing some different things that, you know, it's nice to have some tools and some knowledge as to how we approach that. you know, subjects like homosexuality, the deceptive message that the world is putting out there, abortion, ⁓ what does the word say about abortion? these are very, you know, can be controversial, but it's very clear what the Bible ⁓ teaches on these subjects. And so we will be touching on it. We won't avoid it because, or any other controversial subject, because we are ⁓ called to teach the whole council, the entire Bible.
-
speaker-1: And from always from the background of love, because definitely God is love. ⁓ He's, that's his heart towards people in general. but yeah, we'll be touching, we could be touching on current events, politics, how it fits in with the church as a whole. And that's not our focus, obviously, but there are things that happen and some people have questions about that. So we can touch on that and teach on different aspects. And the biblical covenants. The Old and New Testament are actually old and new covenants. And just how to rightly divide the word. when it comes to Old and New Testament scripture. So that can be confusing. Not that we have, we know it all, ⁓ we do understand, we have been taught, we do understand a fair bit of that, so.
-
speaker-0: Yeah, and if you've ever picked up a Bible and looked in, you know, the book of Job, for instance, it can be like, wow, that dude went through a lot. ⁓ And it can be very confusing because it's coming in that particular book, it's coming from the viewpoint of several people. And then God shows up and has, ⁓ you know, his thoughts and input in it as well. you know, it just And there's a lot of history as well that is in the Bible for our knowledge, but not necessarily directly to us, you for us.
-
speaker-1: Exactly. You have to kind of rightly discern or divide Scripture up. Ask yourself some questions like who, what, when, where and why.
-
speaker-0: I look at the Old Testament as the human condition, know, and that, you know, yes, I can find myself in the human aspect of it and what they went through and what I can avoid now that I know some things. And it's always better to look at someone else's life and see where they missed it so I can hopefully miss that.
-
speaker-1: Yeah, learn from it.
-
speaker-0: So yeah, it'll, you know, teaching biblical faith, that's, you know, the more our faith grows, that's what pleases God according to the word. ⁓ Biblical truth, again, not based on man's idea or history or tradition, but from the Bible as it applies to us directly today. And every scripture You know, in my experience over time, there's sometimes that a certain scripture will speak so loud and almost jump off the page to me for that time for me in my life. And so that's where, you know, really we look at the scripture as it's alive. Yeah, like it's always speaking. It's God's word. It's him speaking to us. And so we'll be teaching on how that ⁓ you can apply that to your life and start to experience that as well, because That's where the power for living today comes from. And throughout God's Word, there's some pretty big promises that you just, you know, if you don't understand the context or the, you know, the who God is really talking to, it can be confusing. But in a nutshell, we are who God says we are. We can do what He says we can do. and we have what he says we can have. And so that's going to be all things that we'll be sharing. Who are we? What can we do? And what do we have? Yes, exactly. So are we Superman? And what are our tools? What are our weapons? I don't know that's good way to put it, but that's my brain. So as we had mentioned before, ⁓ we are now a licensed charity with CRA. And what that means is we can give ⁓ tax receipts or any money that is donated to us. It is coming up to the end of the year, so I put these slides in just to let you know if you're looking for a year-end tax write-off. ⁓ I certainly would ask that you would pray and, ⁓ you know, as far as giving into Atlin Family Church, there has been ⁓ significant startup costs with getting the technology and the hardware and everything going. So having this ⁓ tool from, you know, as a tax write off is ⁓ going to be a big benefit. And ⁓ as we read the word, the word is very clear that as you give, it's given back to you. There's a blessing in that. And not just what you gave, but pressed down, shaken together and overflowing like that. That's the God that we know. And so it's not a matter of just, you know, here's the slide says $50. Here's $50. And that's the end of it. No, God will take that $50 and he'll increase it. in getting the word out locally and around the world. But as we mentioned before, there's a blessing that comes back to you as a giver. And that's the exciting part. So we've come up with some tools to make it easier to give. We'll be eventually adding some more with a personal app for Atlin Family Church right on your phone that will just basically be a small website, but it's dedicated to Atlin Family Church. And if you have a smartphone right now, you can scan the bar or the code on there right now, QR code, I believe they call it. And that takes us right to, or takes you right to our giving page. If you feel led to give into our ministry. And there is other ways as well. You can go to our website, which is online, of course. You can download a Titheley giving app and then just search Atlin Family Church. You can download that from the Apple Store or the Play Store, ⁓ wherever you get your apps for your smartphone. Cash or check. Don't recommend sending cash through the mail, of course, but check to Atlin Family Church. Box 526, Atlan BC, V0W, 1A0, and also we accept e-transfer. At office, atlanfamilychurch.ca.

speaker-1: Great. Yeah.
-
speaker-0: So I'm just going to change. So we'd mentioned the website. ⁓ That is our ministry hub at this point. And as you can see, we're pretty excited about the steps that God has given us. We'll be starting YouTube video teaching, podcasts, and our online Zoom meetings will be happening ⁓ at some point in the future. And then of course, ⁓ or desires a local church group here, right here in Atlan. So one step at a time, but yeah, just feel free to mark your browser or put it in your favorites, atlanfamilychurch.ca so that you can keep in the loop. can scroll down, has a lot of information about us. The main thing to keep in the loop is right here. Subscribe to our newsletter and that'll...
-
speaker-1: You'll get any updated news. Yeah.
-
speaker-0: And that's kind of just like if we were a physical church, it'd be like coming to church and hearing directly. Our newsletter keeps you in the loop right up front. So that's exciting. And one more that I will show you here, if you're really into social media, is our Facebook page. And so that's Atlin Family Church. ⁓ It's on our personal one right now.
-
speaker-1: Yeah, it is.
-
speaker-0: They look the same, I even get next up. There we go. Yeah, there we Atlin Family Church. So you can just search that. And then eventually we will be streaming live onto that page. I've been told by Facebook that we need to have more than 100 followers. So we certainly encourage you to share the page, tell your family and friends so that we can get more people following and then we can have the live service go directly to there. And last but not least we have our YouTube channel. just go over to that. And that's, you can just search ⁓ Engage Faith or Atlin Family Church. Well, on YouTube, it's at Atlin Family Church. And we've got a few videos up there, not that much yet. And I'm going to be completely open. The live meeting that we're having today was to be streamed on YouTube. It doesn't look like it's showing up yet. So I have some tweaking to do on that feed. So I do apologize for that, but it's a learning process for me as well. Yeah. Yeah. So that's, know, in a nutshell, we, yeah, we'll try to keep it within the hour. If there's any, you know, questions that you have, we'd certainly, ⁓ you can ask in the chat and we can respond immediately or ⁓ you can email us at office at atlantfamilychurch.ca. ⁓
-
speaker-1: So.
-
speaker-0: and just ask any questions about the church, about ourselves, about teaching, ⁓ whatever's on your mind.
-
speaker-1: mentioned if you're interested in something specific and we can maybe develop a teaching on that. Yeah.
-
speaker-0: And especially, you know, I'd love to meet personally with each and every one of you. But if you're in Atlan, ⁓ you know, reach out, let's go for a coffee, get to know each other. And so we can start to work towards the local church, the local body. And, you know, that's definitely on our heart. It's one step at a time. And God hasn't said to go ahead with that yet. But we do want to meet, ⁓ you know, people that are right here in Atlan, BC. so that we can start to develop relationships and just get to know each other and go from there. And as you can see our background, this is our home, our recording studio, all of the above. So, you know, if we're able to get some Christmas decorations up, we're getting closer to the season. Picked up a few supplies yesterday. So it is that time of year again for family and friends.
-
speaker-1: Yeah. Yeah, it's a special time of year, but it can be challenging in other ways as well. So we understand that.
-
speaker-0: Yeah, some people put the, make the list too long in my opinion. ⁓ I didn't say anything. Yeah, it's, know, keep, keep the reason for the season. We've all seen that sign probably, but Jesus is the reason we celebrate and keeping, you know, him in our heart and listening for, you know, what blesses him.
-
speaker-1: I can do that.
-
speaker-0: is so important and it's too easy to fall into that I must do this, this and this or buy this, this and this and then come January have the guilt and the bills all start to come in. yeah, mean over the years we've scaled back. We don't buy the gifts as much as we used to.
-
speaker-1: I like to make gifts.
-
speaker-0: We make some, yeah, make more so. And for myself, it's more acts of service. That's my gifts, fixing things if I can. ⁓
-
speaker-1: Yeah, it can be so simple. Just keep things simple. Don't get overwhelmed at this time of year either because it takes a toll on our health and our mental health, you name it. So yeah, it's great to just keep things more simple.
-
speaker-0: Yeah, just, you know, in keeping, you know, obviously God in the equation, you know, Lord, I need to do this. Help me by showing me how to be more efficient. Things that maybe I don't need to do this year. He's, you know, wants to help us in every aspect of our lives. And if there is three things on the list that we really feel that we need to do, he can help us to become more efficient at it or show us how to do it in a better way. So it blesses everybody that way.
-
speaker-1: Blessed to be a blessing.
-
speaker-0: good way to put it. So, you know, I think we'll wrap it up with this. We appreciate you joining in and ⁓ this video will be on for watching later at another time as well. We'll have it on the website and Facebook page. So tune in whenever it's convenient for you. And we'll the main thing is we'll be seeing you again next Sunday. So starting as the Lord led. Every Sunday at 10 a.m. we'll, you know, join and we'll have going forward. There won't be so much talking. ⁓ Be more teaching. Just a small teaching. Yeah, I will be starting some YouTube videos with with more teaching as well. Be a little bit more. Not as much conversation, I guess, because I'll be by myself and that'd be weird. But yeah, so we'll be starting the different platforms going forward. Not sure how much it'll progress between now and Christmas, maybe more into the new year, but we'll certainly move forward as he leads, as God, you know, gets me going. So we appreciate you tuning in and we'll see you next time.
-
speaker-1: Okay, bye bye.
