Hello, Happy Sabbath Day. It is quarter to three on Saturday,
-
March sixteenth. So I want to study be baptized immediately?
-
And what is the result of our baptism with the
-
World Mission Society Church of God. So we'll start with
-
Roman six, Death to sin, alive to God. What shall
-
we say, then, are we too continuing sin that grace
-
may abound by no means? How can we have died
-
to sin still live in it? Do you not know
-
that all us who had been baptized into Christ Jesus
-
were baptized into his death. We were buried therefore with
-
him by baptism into death and order that just as
-
Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of
-
the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
-
For if we have been united with Him and a
-
death like his, we shall certainly be united with him
-
in a resurrection like his.
-
We know that our old self or man, our.
-
Physical self, was crucified with him in order that the
-
body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that
-
we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one
-
who has died has been set free from sin. Now,
-
if we have died with Christ, we believe that we
-
will also live with him. We know that Christ, being
-
raised from the dead, will never die again. Death no
-
longer has dominion over him. For the death he died,
-
he died to sin once. For all the life he lives,
-
he lives to God. So you also must consider yourself
-
dead to sin and alive to God.
-
In Christ. Jesus, let no sin.
-
Therefore, reign and your mortal body to make you obey
-
hiss passions. Do not present your members to sin as
-
instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourself to God as those
-
who have been brought from death to life, and your
-
members to God as instruments for righteousness. For sin will
-
have no dominion over you, since you are not under
-
the law but under grace. What then are we to sin?
-
Because you are not under the law but under grace.
-
By no means do you not know that if you
-
present yourself to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves
-
to the one whom you obey, either of sin, which
-
leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness.
-
But thanks be to God that you, who were once
-
slaves of sin, have been become obedient from the heart
-
to the standard of teachings to which you were committed, and,
-
having been set free from sin, have been slaves of righteousness.
-
I'm speaking in human terms because of your natural limitations.
-
For just as you once presented your members as slaves
-
to impurity, into lawlessness, leading to more lawlessness, so now
-
present your members as slaves to righteousness, leading to sanctification.
-
For when you were.
-
Slaves to sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
-
But what fruit were you getting at that time from
-
the things of which you are now ashamed? For the
-
end of those things is death. But now that you
-
have been set free from sin had become slaves of God,
-
the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end
-
eternal life. For the wages of sin is death. But
-
the free gift of God is eternal life. And Christ
-
Jesus is our Lord. Or do you not know, brothers,
-
For I speaking to those who know the law, that
-
the law is binding on a person only as long
-
as he lives. For a married woman is bound by
-
law to her husband while he lives, but if her
-
husband dies, she is released from the law of marriage. Accordingly,
-
she should be called in adulters if she lives with
-
another man while her husband is alive. But if her
-
husband dies, she is free from the law and marries
-
another man.
-
She is not an adult.
-
Just likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the
-
law through the body of Christ, so that you may
-
belong to another, to him who has been raised from
-
the dead, in order that he may bear fruit for God.
-
For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful
-
passions aroused by the law, we're at work and remembers
-
to bear fruit for death. But now we are released
-
from the law, having died to that which held us captives.
-
So we serve in the new way of the Spirit,
-
and not in the old way.
-
Of the written code or of the letter. The letter is.
-
The written code is the law of the flesh. But
-
we live in the law the way, the new way
-
of the spirit.
-
We serve.
-
What then, shall we say, then, the law is sin
-
by no means. Yet if I had not been for
-
the law, I would not have known sin. For I
-
would not have known what is to covet if.
-
The law.
-
Had not said, you shall not covet, but sin seizing
-
an opportunity through the commandment U seeing me all kinds
-
of covetousness covetousness. For apart from the law, sin lies dead.
-
I was once apart alive, apart from the law. But
-
when the commandment came, sin came alive, and I died.
-
The very commandment of that promised life proved to be
-
death to me. For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment,
-
deceive me, and through it killed me. So the Law
-
is holy, and the Commandment is holy and righteous and good.
-
So the new way of the Spirit is the Law
-
and the commandment that is holy, righteous and good. Did
-
that which is good then bring death to me? By
-
no means? It was sin producing death in me through
-
what is good, in order that sin might be shown
-
to be sin, and that through the commandment, might become
-
sinful beyond measure. For we know that the law is spiritual,
-
but I am of the flesh, sould under sin. For
-
I do not understand my own actions, for I do
-
not do what I want, but I do the very
-
things I hate. Now, if I do what I do
-
not want, I agree that the law that is it
-
is good. So now it no longer I who do it,
-
but sin that swells within me. For I know that
-
nothing good dwells in me that is in my flesh.
-
For I have the desires to do what is good,
-
but not the ability to carry it out. For I
-
do not do the good I want, but the evil
-
I do not want is what I keep on doing. Now,
-
if I do what I do not want, it is
-
no longer I who do it, but sin, who dwells
-
within me. So I find it to be the law
-
that when I want to do right, evil lives close
-
at hand. For I go light in the law of
-
God in my inner being, but I see in my
-
members another law waging war against the law of my mind,
-
and make me captive to the law of sin that
-
dwells in my members. Wretched mand that I am, who
-
will deliver me from this body of death, Thanks me
-
to God through Christ Jeses our Lord. So then I
-
myself serve the law of God with my mind, but
-
with my flesh I serve the law of sin. And
-
Chapter eight. There is therefore no condemnation for those worrying Jesus.
-
The law of the Spirit of Life has set you
-
free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
-
For God has done with the law.
-
Weakened by the flesh cannot do by sending his own
-
son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin.
-
He condemns sin in the flesh, in order that the
-
righteous requirements of the law might be fulfilled in us,
-
who walk not according to the flesh, but according to
-
the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh
-
set their minds on the things of the flesh. But
-
those who live according to the Spirit, set their minds
-
on the things of the Spirit. For to set the
-
minds on the flesh is death, But to set the
-
mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the
-
mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God,
-
for it does not submit to God's law. Indeed, it cannot.
-
Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, who, however,
-
are not in the flesh, but in the spirit. If
-
in fact, the Spirit of God dwells in you, anyone
-
who does not have the spirit of Christ does not
-
belong to him. So the Spirit of God is the
-
spirit of Christ. But if Christ is in you, although
-
the body is dead because of sin, the spirit and life.
-
The spirit is life because of righteousness. If the spirit
-
of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
-
he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead, will also
-
give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who
-
dwells in you.
-
Verse twelves.
-
Then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to
-
live according to the flesh. For if you live according
-
to the flesh, you will die. But if by the
-
Spirit you puts the death the deeds of the body,
-
you will live. For all who are led by the
-
Spirit of God or sons of God, for you do
-
not receive the spirit of slavery to.
-
Fall back into fear.
-
We received the spirit of adoption and sons to whom
-
we cry abba Father. The Spirit himself bears witness with
-
our spirit that we are children of God. And if children,
-
then heirs heirs of God and fellow heir with Christ.
-
Provided we suffer with Him in order that we may
-
also be glorified with Him. For I consider that the
-
sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with
-
the glory that is to.
-
Be revealed to us.
-
For the creation waits with eager longing for their feeling
-
of the sons of God. So the creation was subjective
-
to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected
-
it in hope that the creation itself we step free
-
from his bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of
-
the glory of the children of God. For we know that,
-
we know that the whole creation has been groaning together
-
in pains of childbirth until now, and not only the creation,
-
but we ourselves to have the first fruits of the
-
spirit grown inwardly, as we eagerly for the we wait
-
eagerly for the adoption of sons redemption of our bodies,
-
for in this hope we were safe.
-
Now.
-
Hope that is seen is not hope, for who hopes
-
for what he sees. But if we hope for what
-
we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Likewise,
-
the Spirit helps us in our weaknesses if we do
-
not know what we what to pray for as we ought.
-
But the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too
-
deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what
-
is the mind of the Spirit. Because the Spirit intercedes
-
for the saints according to the.
-
Will of God.
-
And we know that for those who love God, all
-
all things work together for good, for those who are
-
called according to His purpose, for those whom he foreknew.
-
He also predestined to be conformed to the image of
-
his son, in order that he might be the first
-
born among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he
-
also called, and those whom he called he also justified,
-
And those whom he justified he also glorified. Gods that
-
were lasting love shall What, then, shall we say to
-
these things? If God is for us, who can be
-
against us? He who did not spare his own son,
-
but gave him up for us all, How will he
-
not also with him graciously give us all things? Who
-
shall bring any charge against God's elect It is God
-
who justifies who is to condemn Christ. Jesus is the
-
one who died more than that who is raised, who
-
is at the right hand of God, who indeed is
-
interesteding for us. Who shall separate us from the love
-
of Christ? Shall tribulation our distress, or persecution, or famine,
-
or nakedness, or danger or sort as it is written?
-
For your sake, we are being killed all day life,
-
for we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered. No,
-
and all these things, we are more than conquerors through
-
Him who loved us. For I'm sure that neither death
-
nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor
-
things to.
-
Come, nor powers, nor height nor.
-
Depth, nor anything else, and all creation will be able
-
to separate.
-
Us from the Love of God.
-
In Christ, Jesus, our Lord, I am speaking the truth.
-
In Christ, I am not lying. My evidence fares me
-
witness in the Holy Spirit that I have great sorrow
-
with an unceasing anguish in my heart.
-
For I could wish that.
-
I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for
-
the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen. According to the
-
flesh their Israelites, and to them belongs the adoption, the glory,
-
the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and
-
the promises. To them belong the patriarchs. And from their race.
-
According to the flesh is the Christ. To is God overall,
-
blessed forever.
-
Amen.
-
But it is not as though the word of God
-
has failed. For not all who were descended from Israel
-
belong to Israel, and not all our children of Abraham,
-
because they are his offspring.
-
But through eyes they clear you aspring be named.
-
This means that it is not the children of the
-
flesh who are children of God, but the children of
-
the promises promise are counted as offspring. For this is
-
what the promise said about the next time, the year
-
I will return and Sarah shall have a son. And
-
not only so, but when Rebecca had conceived children by
-
one man or forefather Isaac, though they were not born
-
and had nothing done on nothing either good or bad.
-
And know that God's purpose of election might continue not
-
because of works, but because of him who calls. She
-
was told the older were served the younger, As it
-
is written, Jacob, I love East, so I hated. What
-
shall we say, then, is there injustice on God's part
-
by no means?
-
For he says to Moses.
-
I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and
-
I will have compassion on whom I have compassion. So
-
then it depends not on human will or exertion, but
-
on God, who has mercy.
-
So the scripture says to Pharaoh, for.
-
This purpose, I have raised you up that I might
-
show my power in you, and that MY name might
-
be proclaimed in all the earth. Then has mercy on
-
whoever he wills, and he hardens whoever he wills. So
-
we could see that when we are buried with Christ
-
and baptism Father Jehovah's son Jesus Holy Spirit Christ on
-
so on home we receive a new life, and the
-
promise is eternal life. Death throat it mains don't know
-
when their execution will be carried out. The baptism ceremony
-
contains God, the love of God. Proverbs twenty seven, verse one.
-
You could see the confirmation. Do not boast about tomorrow,
-
for you do not know what a day may bring.
-
So no death or inmate on this earth. None of
-
us knows what will happen, even tomorrow, even the next moment.
-
We were like vapor that appears for a little while
-
and then vanishes. That's what it says in James. So
-
let's see a story about someone who had no regard
-
to what would be the outcome of his soul. Luke twelve,
-
verse sixteen. And he told them a parable the powable
-
of the rich fool. The land of a rich man
-
produced plentifully. And he thought to himself, what shall I do,
-
for I have nor to store my crops. And he said,
-
I will do this. I will tear down my barns
-
and build larger ones.
-
In there.
-
I will store all my grain and my goods, and
-
I will stay to my soul. Soul, you have ample
-
good laid up for many years. Relax, eat, drink, be merry.
-
This is how a lot of people are living. But
-
God said to him, fool this night, your soul is
-
required of you, and the things you have prepared prepared
-
who's will they be?
-
So is the one who lays.
-
Up treasure for himself and is not rich towards God.
-
So we need to prepare for our next life in
-
the Kingdom of heaven, and not in which which is
-
our soul prepared for our next life with God in heaven.
-
And this person is a fool because they are they're saying, Okay,
-
I have so much stuff that I'm just gonna you know,
-
I want to keep all my stuff, and I'm just
-
gonna make more larger barns and store up all my
-
grains and my goods. So we don't know what's going
-
to happen tomorrow. Therefore we should prepare for for the
-
Kingdom of heaven as if his tomorrow acts eight verse
-
twenty six.
-
To thirty nine. This is an.
-
Example of Philip, an apostle of Christ, who did not
-
delay baptism for three to six months, as these babylon
-
churches are saying, unless people are baptized, they cannot take
-
off the burden of sin. So Acts eight, verse twenty six.
-
Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, rise
-
and go towards the south to the road that goes
-
from Jerusalem to Gasa.
-
This is a desert place. And he rose and went.
-
And there was an Ethiopian, a un court official of Candace,
-
Queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all
-
her treasure. He had come to Jerusalem to worship and
-
was returning seated with a seated in his chariot, and
-
he was reading the Prophet Isaiah. And the spirits said
-
to Phillip Philip was under the law of the spirit
-
because he obeyed the spirit. The spirits had to filop,
-
go over and join the chariot. So Philip ran to
-
him and heard him reading the Isaiah the prophet, and asked,
-
do you understand what you are reading? And he said,
-
how can I unless someone guides me. And he invited
-
Philip to come up and stay with him. Now, the
-
passage of the scripture that he was reading was this,
-
like a sheep, he was led to the slaughter and
-
like a lamb beford's Jews silence. So he opens not
-
his mouth, and his humiliation justice was denied him who
-
can describe his generation? For his life is taken away
-
from the earth. And the eunuch said, to fill up
-
about whom I asked you? Does the prophet say this
-
about himself or about someone else? Then phil opened his
-
mouth and begin and begin with the scripture.
-
He told him the good news about Jesus.
-
As they were going along the road, they came to
-
some water, and the eunuch said, see here is water.
-
What prevents me from being baptized? And he commanded to
-
the chariot to step, and they both went down into
-
the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him.
-
And when they came up out of the water, the
-
spirit of the Lord carries Philip away, and the eunuch
-
saw him no more and went on his way of rejoicing.
-
But Philip found himself at azetized, and he passed through.
-
He preached the.
-
Gospel to all the towns until they came to cesarea.
-
So this is an example. He didn't wait.
-
He immediately was baptized when he heard the good news.
-
This is the world mission stidy Church of God in
-
the Apostolic Age in the days of the Acts, they
-
baptized immediately. We keep the same teachings now in these days,
-
Acts ten, verse forty eight. And he commanded them to
-
be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they
-
asked him to remain for some days. Peter declared them
-
verse forty six. Can anyone withhold water from baptizing these
-
people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?
-
And he commanded them to be baptized in the name
-
of Jesus Christ. So Peter was testifying for people to
-
be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.
-
So this is the tra the trace of the early Church.
-
And we are doing the reformation of the truth and
-
be and baptizing people in the name of Christ. Don
-
sung Hoolk in these days. So if you were already
-
baptized in a church, and you said I've already been baptized,
-
you should be rebaptized into the correct name.
-
For this age.
-
Acts sixteen, verse twenty nine or thirty one. They start
-
at twenty five. Acts sixteen, verse twenty five. About midnight,
-
Paul and Stealers were praying and singing hymn to God,
-
and the prisoners were listening to them. And suddenly there
-
was a great earthquake, so that the foundation of the
-
prisons were shaken. And immediately all the doors were open,
-
and everyone bond. Everyone's bonds were unfastened. When the jailer
-
woke and saw that the prison door were open, he
-
drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing
-
that the prisoners had escaped, But Paul cried with a
-
loud voice, do not harm yourself, for we are all here.
-
And the jailer called for the lights and rushed in,
-
and trembling with fear, he fell down before Paul and Sealus.
-
Then he brought them out and said, sir, what must
-
I do to be saved? And they said, believe in
-
the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and
-
your household.
-
This is the age of the Sun.
-
When Paul would testify to believe in the name Jesus.
-
And they spoke the word of the Lord to him
-
and to all who were in the house. And he
-
took them in the same hour of the night and
-
washed their wounds, and he was baptized at once.
-
He and all his family.
-
Then he brought them into his house and set food
-
before them, and he rejoiced, along with his entire household,
-
that he had believed in God. So Paul immediately baptized
-
the jailer and also his entire household Acts nineteen. And
-
it happened that while Apollos was at current, Paul passed
-
through the inland or highland country and came to Aphacius.
-
There he found some disciples, and he said to them,
-
did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? And
-
they said no, we have not even heard that there
-
is a Holy Spirit. And he said into what then?
-
Were you baptized? They said, into John's baptism, And Paul said,
-
John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling.
-
The people to believe in the one.
-
Who was to come after him, that is Jesus. On
-
hearing this, they were rebaptized into the name of the
-
Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands on them,
-
the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking
-
in tongues and prophesying. There were about twelve men in all.
-
Did they refuse to be baptized again? Since they were
-
baptized before, shouldn't we be baptized into the New name.
-
What is the promise in baptism? Acts two thirty eight.
-
And Peter said to them, repent and be baptize, every
-
one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for
-
the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the
-
gifts of the Holy Spirit for the promises for you
-
and for your children, and for all who are far off,
-
everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself. And
-
with many other words, he bore witness and continued to
-
extort them, saying, exhort them, exhort them, not exhort them, saying,
-
save yourselves from this crooked generation.
-
So those who received his words.
-
Were baptized, and they were added to that day three
-
thousand souls Mark sixteen, verse five. You save your souls
-
through baptism, Mark sixteen, verse fifteen. And he said to them,
-
to the eleven disciples, go into all the world and
-
proclaim the Gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and
-
is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe
-
will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who
-
believe in my name. They will cast out demons. They
-
will speak in new tongues, and they will pick up
-
serpents with their hands. And if they drink any daily poison,
-
it will not hurt them. They will lay their hands
-
on the stick, and they will recover. So then the
-
Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken
-
up into heaven and sat down in the right hand
-
of God, and then went out and preached everywhere. While
-
the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by
-
accompanying signs. So baptism also contains the death of Christ
-
on the cross. Our body of sin should be crucified
-
to God, the creator was mocked, ridiculed by his creation.
-
If he didn't go through the suffering, unbearable suffering, we
-
would have to endure that forever, worse, even worse. And
-
what did he go through? Matthew twenty six, verse thirty six.
-
Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane,
-
and he said to his disciples, stay here while I
-
go over there and pray, And taking with him Peter
-
and the two sons of Zebde, he began to be
-
sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, my soul
-
is very sorrowful, sorrowful even to death. Remain here and
-
watch with me. And going a little further farther, he
-
fell on his face and prayed, saying, my father, if
-
it be possible, this cup passed from me. Nevertheless, not
-
as I will, but as you will. So he came
-
to the disciples and found them sleeping, and he said
-
to Peter, so could you not watch with me one hour?
-
Watch and pray that you may not fall into temptation.
-
The spirit, indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Yees.
-
He knew he was going to suffer extreme agony. This
-
is the purpose two verse twelve. Having been buried with
-
him in baptism, in which you were also raised with
-
him through faith in the powerful working of God who
-
raised him from the dead, and you, who were dead
-
in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God
-
made a live together with him. Having forgiven all the
-
trespasses by canceling the record of debt that stood against
-
us with its legal demands, this he set aside, nailing
-
it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities
-
and put them to put them to open shame. By
-
triumphing over them in Him. So we should be buried
-
in the name of Christ and sung holme through baptism
-
to get forgiveness of sins in the in the age
-
of the Holy Spirit, the last days that we are
-
living in.
-
Thanks for listening and stay changed.
