Sharllon beloved, Welcome to our morning, glory, devotion, and our
-
time of fellowship in the Word of God. Let's share
-
a word of prayer. Father, We thank you. We give
-
you praise for another opportunity to be a part of
-
the great things that you are doing. We acknowledge your
-
sovereignty over our lives. Thank you for this morning. Thank
-
you for all that you're about to teach us. We
-
open up our hearts to receive from you in Jesus name. Amen,
-
this is your brother and sister, pastor and missus Amasa
-
facilitating this morning's glory. Let's take our confession together from
-
Joshua chapter one, verse eight. This book of the Lord
-
shall not depart out of my mouth, that I shall
-
meditate in its day and night, that I may observe
-
to do according to all that is rating in it.
-
For then I will make my way prosperous, and then
-
I will have good success in man. A scripture reading
-
for the morning shall be taken from Jeremiah chapter twenty nine,
-
the verse ten to fourteen. Jeremiah twenty nine, ten to fourteen,
-
I read from the New King James version, For that
-
says the Lord after seventy years are completed at Babylon.
-
I will visit you and perform my good word toward you,
-
and cause you to return to this place. For I
-
know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord,
-
thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you
-
a future and a hope. Then you will call upon
-
me and go and pray to me, and I will
-
listen to you, and you will seek me and find
-
me when you search for me with all your heart.
-
I'll be found by you, says the Lord. And I'll
-
bring you back from your captivity. I'll gather you from
-
all the nations and from all the places where I
-
have driven you, says the Lord. And I'll bring you
-
to the place from which I cause you to be
-
carried away captive a man.
-
The pursuit of God, the pursuit of God Beloved. We
-
learned from yesterday's devotion that God desires that we build
-
a relationship with him, and we build a living and
-
loving relationship with him. We also learned that he is
-
a key to our existence and the source of our life,
-
so it's very important that we build a relationship with
-
Him for sustenance. In building a relationship with him, We
-
must seek to know him, We must pursue him. In
-
Jeremiah twenty nine, there's deads and we hear God say,
-
and you will seek me and find me when you
-
search for me with all your hearts. Seeking him doesn't
-
only have to do with that strong emotion to know him. Rather,
-
that strong desire must necessarily provoke an action. So how
-
do we seek him diligently? How do we pursue God diligently?
-
Pursue him in prayer? Praying, as we all know, is
-
a form of communication with God. Well, we speak to him,
-
and he intend speaks back to us. Pursue him by
-
steadying his word. The word of God has God himself.
-
His word communicates his thoughts, his plans, his instructions, his heart.
-
His word reveals who he is to us. Pursue him
-
through fastings. Just as Job said in Joke twenty three vers. Twelve,
-
we should desire the words of his mouth more than
-
our necessary food, For we do not live by bread alone,
-
but by everywhere that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
-
We can pursue him in worship, pursue him in praise,
-
pursue him in fellowship, we must pursue him in action,
-
and not just with our emotions. Beloved, seeking him brings
-
great rewards to us. In Hebrews eleven, verse six, he
-
assures us of his rewards as we diligently seek him.
-
Seeking him brings us rest. Seeking him brings us deliverance
-
In him brings understanding and descendments. Seeking him brings hope.
-
Seeking him brings righteousness. Seeking him brings us healing, along
-
with all the other fascal blessings that our heart's desire.
-
He has assured us that as we delight ourselves in Him,
-
he will grant us the desires of our hearts. Dear one,
-
knowing all of this, it's our best interest to pursue
-
and seek a relationship with God. We have far more
-
to gain, and we stand to lose a lot without
-
this relationship with God. So if we will live this
-
Christian life, let us rise up to do it, and
-
to do it well, and we will be the first beneficiaries.
-
Let us not tire, but rather let us forge our head,
-
and God will meet us in Jesus name, Amen, Amen,
-
our memory. Verse will be taken from Deuteronomy chapter four,
-
verse twenty nine. The trinomy chapter four of US twenty nine.
-
But from there you will seek the Lord your God,
-
and you will find him if you search for him
-
with all your heart and soul. But from there you
-
will seek the Lord your God, and you will find
-
him if you've search for him with all your heart.
-
And so in Jesus name, let us pray our Lord
-
Jesus grant us the grace and the hat to seek
-
and pursue you more diligently in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
-
Amen, God bless you so much. Be loved for tuning in.
