-
International Dnamiko Marsi. Please let's pray Father. We thank you
-
so much for today. We thank you for this opportunity
-
to hear your word. We ask glad you make our
-
hearts fatteral to receive this word and let the Holy
-
Spirit help us to apply it in our lives. Since
-
Jesus' name, Amen, belave it. Let's take her confession from
-
the Book of just Shut chapter one, verse eight. This
-
book of the Law shall not leap us out of
-
my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and
-
night that I may observe to do according to all
-
that is written in it. For then I will make
-
my way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen.
-
Our topic for today is titled Fear God, and our
-
scripture reading is taken from numbers Chapter thirteen as one
-
to two and chapter fourteen, verse two to three and
-
twenty to twenty four. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
-
send men to spials the land of Canaan, which I
-
am giving to the children of Israel, from each tribe
-
of their fathers, you shall send a man everyone and
-
leader among them. And all the children of Israel complained
-
against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them,
-
if only we had died in the land of Egypt,
-
or if only we had died in this wilderness, Why
-
has the Lord brought us to this land to fall
-
by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims.
-
Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt,
-
So they said to one another, let us select a
-
leader and return to Egypt. Then the Lord said, I
-
have pardoned according to your word. But truly, as I live,
-
all the earth shall be filled with the glory of
-
the Lord. Because all these men who have seen my
-
glory in the science which I did in Egypt and
-
in the wilderness, and have put me to the test
-
now bees ten times, and have not heeded my voice,
-
they certainly shall not see the land which I saw
-
to their fathers, nor shall any of those who rejected
-
me see it. But my servants Caleb, because he has
-
a different spirit in him and has followed me fully,
-
I will bring into the land where he went, and
-
his descendants shall inherit it. Amen, Fear God, beloved. The
-
whole duty of man is to fear God and keep
-
his commandments. Our God is merciful, loving and kind, and
-
he is also fearful, a fearful judge who deserves all
-
of our reverence. The story is told of ten Israelites
-
who went to the Promised Land to spy in numbers
-
shaps are thirteen to fourteen. They came back with fear
-
and an evil report. Contrary to the promise God had
-
given them. They rebelled against God by trusting their own
-
thoughts and solutions, and even thirteened to kill Caleb and Joshua,
-
who are insisting on God's promise. Because of this, the
-
Lord punished them, saying they will never even see the
-
land I swore to give the ancestors. None of those
-
who have treated me with contempt will ever see it.
-
Numbershops are fourteen, those twenty four beloved. The story of
-
the spies is a reminder that it is a fearful
-
thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
-
We have to know that though He has chosen to
-
reconcile us to himself with his son, he is not
-
our co equal. He is still God, and we are
-
mere men. God is greatly to be feared in the
-
assembly of the saints, and to be held in reverence
-
by all those around him. The fear of the Lord
-
is the beginning of wisdom. We are not equal with God,
-
and therefore we must be conscious not to allah pride, familiarity,
-
or ignorance. Make us treat God with contempt, dishonor disobedience.
-
Vain talk, unbelief, and irreverence must not be part of
-
our lives as believers. God is king, and he must
-
be worshiped as such, with songs of praise, a humble heart,
-
childlike faith, and a servant's attitude. We must be careful
-
in our conduct and our approach to God's word, God's people,
-
and God's world. It is because of the messes of
-
the Lord that we are not consumed every day. Beloved,
-
we are not entitled to anything, but He freely gives
-
us everything. His mercy, his grace, his salvation, the life
-
he gives us, provision, protection, and love are all free
-
gifts that He constantly showers us with, and we have
-
a duty to respond with gratitude, humility, and reverence. Let
-
us repent of the ways in which we have shown
-
contempt to God, and humble ourselves before Him in our lives,
-
as speech, our conduct, and our service. For He is
-
worthy to be praised. Beloved, Fear God, Worship him acceptably
-
with reverence, and awe for his consuming fire shalom our memory.
-
Verse is taken from Proverbs chapter three, verse seven. Be
-
not wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord, and
-
depart from evil. Amen. Please, let's pray. Father, We thank
-
you so much for this reminder that we are not
-
your code equal, that you are far above us and
-
high in the heavens. We thank you, Father that because
-
of your great love, you have chosen to join it
-
to us. We thank you for this reminder that we
-
must respond to this choice so God, with reverence and
-
with holy fear, that we must repent of our ways,
-
the unbelief that this honor, the irreverence that we constantly
-
show you, and the contempt. Please help us, o, God,
-
to repent of these evil ways, that we may draw
-
close to You even as you allow us to come.
-
We thank you for this reminder, and we pray that
-
you continue to fund the flames of intimacy between us
-
and You throughout the day. And throughout our lives in
-
Jesus' name. Amen. Thank you so much, beloved for tuning
-
into today's morning glory devotion. Kindly stay tuned for more
-
spirit failed content and have a wonderful day. Shalom.
