-
for today's devotionists, Have you prayed today? Part three? Have
-
you prayed today? Part three, and will be taking our
-
scripture readings from Mark chapter one, verse thirty five, and
-
first the Salonians chapter five, verse seventeen, Mark one thirty five,
-
and first Thesalonius five seventeen reading from the new International version,
-
Mark one thirty five. Very early in the morning, while
-
it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house
-
and went off to a solitary place where he prayed
-
first the Salony chapter five seventeen. Pray continually, Pray continually.
-
May the Lord add his blessings to the reading and
-
hearing of his word, and Lord shall respond, Thanks be
-
to God. Have you prayed today? Part three. In our
-
previous reflections, we discussed how important it is for believers
-
to return to the place of prayer. We saw how
-
the systems of this world, if not carefully managed, can
-
gradually relegate our prayer lives down the priority list. We
-
also learned that God has not left us alone to
-
rebuild our prayer orders. He lends a helping hand to
-
all who are ready to work the path of making
-
prayer a daily necessity. Finally, we touched on how maintaining
-
a living relationship with God and developing a consistent or
-
boastword steady life can contribute to making us mighty men
-
and women of prayer. We conclude our series by examining
-
three more ways to help build and maintain a consistent
-
prayer life. In Mark, chapter one thirty five reviews a
-
secret of our Lord Jesus rising A great while before day,
-
he went out to a solitary place and prayed. Jesus
-
had a skined He does not leave prayer to chance
-
or convenience. If the Son of God carved out a
-
specific time and place, how much more do we need
-
a plan to protect your prayer life. You must have
-
a plan. If you do not schedule a time for God,
-
the demands of the day will schedule you out. Decide
-
on a specific hor set an alarm, pick a quiet corner.
-
Treat this appointment with the creator of the universe as
-
completely non negotiable. Secondly, we must look for accountability partners. Ecclesias,
-
chapter four, verse nine reminds us that two are better
-
than one because they have a good reward for their labor.
-
When your personal prayer altar feels cold, you need a
-
trusted brother or sister in Christ who will ask you
-
the hard questions. Find a prayer partner, someone who will
-
text or call you at dawn, stand in the gap
-
with you and gently pull you back when you begin
-
to drift. True spiritual growth thrives in holy community. Finally,
-
we must actively participate in corporate prayer meetings. There is
-
a distinct authority that breaks forth when believers gather in
-
one accord. In the early Church, when Peter was locked
-
in prison, Acts Chapter twelve, vers five records that constant
-
prayer was offered to God for him by the church.
-
Corporate prayer provides an environment that catches you when you're
-
personal strength fails. Iron sharpness Ion Provab Chapter twenty seven,
-
verse seventeen. The collective fire of the congregation warms your
-
cold heart, carries your burdens, and lifts your spirit back
-
into alignment with Heaven. Beloved, do not let your altar
-
become a heap of ashes again. If others have made it,
-
you too, can pray every day a man our memory.
-
Verse for today will be taken from Daniels, Chapter six,
-
first ten. Daniels Chapter six, first ten, reading from the
-
New King James version. Now, when Daniel knew that the
-
writing was signed, he went home and in his upper room,
-
with his windows open toward Jerusalem. He knelt down on
-
his knees three times that day and prayed and gave
-
thanks before his God, as was his custom since any days. Amen,
-
let us kindly share a way of prayer. Father, in
-
the name of Jesus, We thank you for teaching us
-
about the importance and relevance of prayer. Even as we
-
come before you trust Him. We pray that you help
-
us revive our prayer Alts. Let prayer not be abedded
-
but a delightful affair in Jesus Name. Amen. God, richly
-
bless you beloved for stay input throughout our devotion. We
-
know that as the Word of God has come, it
-
has come to equip us, and you and I will
-
have lovely prayer times with God. In Jesus name. Shallum
-
and have a blessed and fruitful day, Amen,
