Shalom jarly beloved, this is the Harvest Chapel International coming
-
your way once again with today's episode of the Morning
-
Glory Devotion facilitated by a pastor and Missus Wafo. God
-
richly bless you for your participation. Let us kindly share
-
a word of prayer further in the name of Jesus.
-
Thank you and bless you for the gift of life.
-
Thank you for joining us to your presence to receive
-
of you. Please minister to our individual needs through your
-
in Jesus name. Amen, Amen, let us kindly see our
-
confession from Joshua chapter one, verse eight. This book of
-
the Law shall not be part out of my mouth,
-
but I shall meditate in it day and night, that
-
I may observe to do according to all that just
-
waiting in it. But then I will make my way
-
past us, and then I will have good sources. Amen beloved.
-
Our Bible reading for today is taken from Joint chapter
-
two this one to eleven, and the theme for this
-
episode is pay attention to Instruction Part two. Pay Attention
-
to Instruction Part two. I kindly take the reading Johnt
-
chapter two Versus one to eleven from the New English translation. Now,
-
on the third day, there was a wedding at Cana
-
in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there, and Jesus and his
-
disciples were also invited to the wedding. When the wine
-
ran out, Jesus' mother said to him, they have no
-
wine left. Jesus replied, woman, why are you saying this
-
to me? My time has not yet come. His mother
-
told the sevants, whatever he tells you to do, do
-
it now. There were six stone water jerzs therefore Jewish
-
ceremonial worship, each holding twenty to thirty galloons. Jesus told
-
the sevants fill the water jazz with water, so they
-
filled them up to the very top. Then he told them,
-
now draw some out and take it to the head steward,
-
and they did. When the heard steward tasted the water
-
that had been turned to wine, not knowing where it
-
came from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew,
-
he called the bridegroom and said to him, everyone serves
-
the good wine first, and then the cheaper wine when
-
the guests are drunk. You have kept the good wine
-
until now. Jesus did this as the first of his
-
miracular signs in Kenna of Galilee. In this way, he
-
revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him beloved.
-
The reading of the Word of the Lord is be.
-
Pay attention to instructions Part two. In part one of
-
this series, we looked at how God wraps our breakthroughs
-
inside his instructions. We realized from Noah's example that the
-
breakthroughs we desire in life don't usually arrive fully formed.
-
God sometimes sends us instructions when we are waiting for
-
him to move in a spectacular flash of lightning and
-
suddenly strip our problems away in a well wind. He
-
rarely drops a miracle out of the sky without requiring
-
a human hand to move. But let us be honest
-
with ourselves today, is it always easy to follow those instructions?
-
Do those instractions always make sense to our natural way
-
of thinking? The truth is some of the directions we
-
receive from God feel utterly confusing to the human mind.
-
We save a God whose thoughts are vastly higher than ours,
-
which means his instructions will often clash with our logic.
-
Think about the wedding at Cana in Galilee, as recorded
-
in John chapter two, The celebration was in full swing,
-
but behind the scenes panic had set in. They had
-
completely run out of wine. It must have been a
-
deeply humiliating situation for the young couple. Mary approached her
-
son Jesus Christ and requested of him to do something
-
about the shameful situation. She also turned to the Sevens
-
at the ceremony and gave them a piece of timeless advice.
-
Whatever he tells you, do it John Chapter to the
-
Verst five. But look at what Jesus actually told them
-
to do. He pointed to six massive stone water jazz,
-
which were therefore Jewish ceremonial washing, and said, filled the
-
water jazz with water. John Chapter to the Verst seven.
-
Imagine being one of those sevens, you desperately need wine,
-
yet you are told to carry heavy backs of water
-
from the well. It made no sense. It did not
-
solve the immediate crisis. Yet they obeyed, completely, filling the
-
jazz right up to the brain. The miracle happened the
-
moment they began to draw it out, the water had
-
become wine. Their obedience to Jesus's instruction that defied human
-
logic saved the wedding feast from disaster. We see the
-
same pattern with the ten lepids who cried out to
-
Jesus for mercy in Luke chapter number seventeen. He did
-
not touch them as they would have ordinarily expected. He
-
did not speak a word of immediate healing over their
-
bodies either. Instead, he gave them a strong command, go
-
and show yourself to the priests. Look seventeen the verse fourteen.
-
According to the law of Moses, a leper only went
-
to the priest after they were already healed, to be
-
officially pronounced clean, as in Levitical chapter thirteen and fourteen.
-
So why would Jessus send them to the temple while
-
their skin was still covered in souls? Can you picture
-
them turning round to walk that long path towards the temple,
-
still carrying the pain and shame of their condition. Yet
-
the Bible records a miraculous detail. In Luke chapter seventeen,
-
the verse fourteen, he says, and as they went along
-
they were clinged. If they had waited to see their
-
skin clear up before taking a single step, they would
-
have massed their healing entirely. The miracle was activated on
-
the road of obedience. Perhaps today you are facing a
-
situation that looks completely backward. Maybe you are praying for
-
a financial relief and you feel the prompting to gain.
-
You are praying about a broken relationship, and the word
-
of God tells you to bless those who hurt you
-
and pray for those who are cruel to you. You
-
are contemplating in revenge for an offense, and you keep
-
hearing that gentle whisper to love your enemies and do
-
good to those who hate you, beloved, Such other ways
-
of God, they are higher than our ways. To your
-
natural mind, it feels foolish, but pressures one. Do not
-
cast away God's direction just because it does not fit
-
your human calculations. Your obedience is the highest expression of
-
your faith. Can you trust him enough to take that
-
first step? Even while the content of the stone water
-
just still looks like water, and the skin still looks diseased.
-
Keep moving in that direction he has told you to go.
-
You will not regret. God richly bless you, beloved. Let's
-
take a our memory. Verse from John chapter two, the
-
verse five, he says his mother told the sevenths whatever
-
he tells you.
-
Do it.
-
His mother told the sevenths whatever he tells you do it.
-
Let's share a word of prayer. Father, we are grateful
-
to you for teaching us about your instructions that don't
-
matter how foolish they may seem and illogical they may
-
seem in our human eyes, we can still follow, trusting
-
that your ways are higher than our ways, and your
-
instructions will definitely take us to an expected end. We
-
pray for the grace to follow now and always in
-
Jesus Mighty name. We have prayed Amen and Amen, Lover.
-
We are glad you were able to join the Morning
-
Glory devotion today. We know that it definitely will make
-
an impact in your life. We will come your way
-
again with a third part of this series. Till then,
-
stay glued to Radio ACI today and enjoy a spirit
-
filled atmosphere. God richly bless you.
