MGD: Are You Willing to Lose It?

The songwriter, say, what's that you have in your hand?

God can use it? If you're willing to lose it.

He'll take the little you have and make it grand.

He is El Shadai, and he'll more than supply your need.

I'm Sean Asan from Harvest Shapo International Commercy, and I'm

glad to be sharing this devotion with you today. Let's

begin with a word of prayer. Thank you God for

another day in an opportunity to learn from your word.

Help us to sea light, and that we will leave

here edified in Jesus name inmen. Let's take a confession

together from Joshua, chapter one, verse eight. Joshua chapter one,

verse eight. This book of the Law shall not DePass

out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in his

day and night, that I may observe to do according

to all that is written in it. For then I

will make my way prosper us, and then I will

have good success. Amen. This devotion is titled are you

willing to lose it? Our uncle? Scripture will be taken

from First King, Chapter seventeen, from verse eight to sixteen

I read. Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah, saying, arise,

go to Zaraphath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there.

See I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.

So he arose and went to Zarifath. When he came

to the gate of the city, indeed, a widow was

there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said,

please bring me a little water in a cup that

I may drink. And as she was going to get it,

he called to her and said, please bring me a

mussel of bread in your hand. So she said, as

the Lord, your god lives, I do not have bread,

only a handful of flour in a bin, and a

little oil in a jar. And see I am gathering

a couple of sticks that I may go in and

prepare it for myself and my son, that we may

eat it and die. And Elijah said to her, do

not fear go and do as you have said, but

make me a small cake from it first and bring

it to me, and afterward make some for yourself and

your son. For that days the Lord God of Israel,

the burn of flesh shall not be used up, nor

shall the jar of oil and dry, until the day

the Lord sends to reign on the earth. So she

went away indeed according to the word of Elijah, and

she and he and her household ate for many days.

The bin of flower was not used up, nor the

jar of oil and dry, according to the word of

the Lord which he spoke by Elijah, Amen, are you

willing to lose it? We often talk about faith as

something we used to gain things from God and says

breakthroughs or blessings. But sometimes the greatest test of her

faith isn't what we are willing to acquire, as what

we are willing to surrender. In our Uncle scripture, we

find a widowing diaper at the absolute end of her rope,

a severe farmine has graped the land, and she has

just enough flying oil left to make one final meal

for herself and her son before they lay down to die.

Then the prophet Elijah comes and makes a seemingly outrageous

request on her. He says, I know this is your last,

but you make a meal for me. Faced before God

multiplied her resources, he presented her with a question that

echoes down to us to day are you willing to

lose it? God is not a genie, and so giving

to him shouldn't be done expecting a magic trick or

transactional retain God is sovereign. He solely determines how he

will bless you and when he will bless you. But

one thing is sure. When you give from a place

of pure obedience, you will receive his rewards. The widow

had to let go of her last bit of security

before she could experience the supernatural overflow of God's provision.

What is the last handful of flower in your life

right now? What are you holding on to so tightly

because you are afraid that if you give it to God,

whether it is your money, your time, a relationship, or

even your career plans, you will be left with nothing.

The supernatural secret of attracting financial blessings is to give

what you have to God. He owned everything and will

give you back more than you can even imagine. Remember

that whatever you are willing to lose for his sake

is transferred into his hands. He is the multiplier. Amen,

let's take a memory together from Luke chapter six, verse

thirty eight. Luke six thirty eight, Give and it shall

be given to you good measure, pressed down, shaking together

and running over. Shall men give to your bosom. Amen,

Let's share a word of prayer. Thank you God for

reminding us that you are the multiplier and so we

can trust you with whatever little we have. Help us

to work in this consciousness as we go throughout that

day in Jesus name. Amen, God, bless you so much
