  6. to join us for another episode of the Morning Glory devotion.

  7. I'm Sean Asan from Harvest Shapo International Commercy, and I'm

  8. glad to be sharing this devotion with you today. Let's

  9. begin with a word of prayer. Thank you God for

  10. another day in an opportunity to learn from your word.

  11. Help us to sea light, and that we will leave

  12. here edified in Jesus name inmen. Let's take a confession

  13. together from Joshua, chapter one, verse eight. Joshua chapter one,

  14. verse eight. This book of the Law shall not DePass

  15. out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in his

  16. day and night, that I may observe to do according

  17. to all that is written in it. For then I

  18. will make my way prosper us, and then I will

  19. have good success. Amen. This devotion is titled are you

  20. willing to lose it? Our uncle? Scripture will be taken

  21. from First King, Chapter seventeen, from verse eight to sixteen

  22. I read. Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah, saying, arise,

  23. go to Zaraphath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there.

  24. See I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.

  25. So he arose and went to Zarifath. When he came

  26. to the gate of the city, indeed, a widow was

  27. there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said,

  28. please bring me a little water in a cup that

  29. I may drink. And as she was going to get it,

  30. he called to her and said, please bring me a

  31. mussel of bread in your hand. So she said, as

  32. the Lord, your god lives, I do not have bread,

  33. only a handful of flour in a bin, and a

  34. little oil in a jar. And see I am gathering

  35. a couple of sticks that I may go in and

  36. prepare it for myself and my son, that we may

  37. eat it and die. And Elijah said to her, do

  38. not fear go and do as you have said, but

  39. make me a small cake from it first and bring

  40. it to me, and afterward make some for yourself and

  41. your son. For that days the Lord God of Israel,

  42. the burn of flesh shall not be used up, nor

  43. shall the jar of oil and dry, until the day

  44. the Lord sends to reign on the earth. So she

  45. went away indeed according to the word of Elijah, and

  46. she and he and her household ate for many days.

  47. The bin of flower was not used up, nor the

  48. jar of oil and dry, according to the word of

  49. the Lord which he spoke by Elijah, Amen, are you

  50. willing to lose it? We often talk about faith as

  51. something we used to gain things from God and says

  52. breakthroughs or blessings. But sometimes the greatest test of her

  53. faith isn't what we are willing to acquire, as what

  54. we are willing to surrender. In our Uncle scripture, we

  55. find a widowing diaper at the absolute end of her rope,

  56. a severe farmine has graped the land, and she has

  57. just enough flying oil left to make one final meal

  58. for herself and her son before they lay down to die.

  59. Then the prophet Elijah comes and makes a seemingly outrageous

  60. request on her. He says, I know this is your last,

  61. but you make a meal for me. Faced before God

  62. multiplied her resources, he presented her with a question that

  63. echoes down to us to day are you willing to

  64. lose it? God is not a genie, and so giving

  65. to him shouldn't be done expecting a magic trick or

  66. transactional retain God is sovereign. He solely determines how he

  67. will bless you and when he will bless you. But

  68. one thing is sure. When you give from a place

  69. of pure obedience, you will receive his rewards. The widow

  70. had to let go of her last bit of security

  71. before she could experience the supernatural overflow of God's provision.

  72. What is the last handful of flower in your life

  73. right now? What are you holding on to so tightly

  74. because you are afraid that if you give it to God,

  75. whether it is your money, your time, a relationship, or

  76. even your career plans, you will be left with nothing.

  77. The supernatural secret of attracting financial blessings is to give

  78. what you have to God. He owned everything and will

  79. give you back more than you can even imagine. Remember

  80. that whatever you are willing to lose for his sake

  81. is transferred into his hands. He is the multiplier. Amen,

  82. let's take a memory together from Luke chapter six, verse

  83. thirty eight. Luke six thirty eight, Give and it shall

  84. be given to you good measure, pressed down, shaking together

  85. and running over. Shall men give to your bosom. Amen,

  86. Let's share a word of prayer. Thank you God for

  87. reminding us that you are the multiplier and so we

  88. can trust you with whatever little we have. Help us

  89. to work in this consciousness as we go throughout that

  90. day in Jesus name. Amen, God, bless you so much

  91. for joining us for today's morning glory devotion. Don't turn

  92. your dial Radio HCI today has just the right mix

  93. of worship, prayer and the word. Stay tuned and you

  94. will be blessed. Shalom.
