  1. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for he is good

  2. for his mercy endures forever. Let's ease your announcie his

  3. mercy endures forever shallon be loved and welcome once again

  4. to another episode of the Morning Glory devotion. We are

  5. glad to have you here. Let's begin with the word

  6. of prayer. Dear Father, open our house to receive your

  7. word in Jesus name. Amen, let's take a confession together

  8. from Joshua chapter one, verse eight. Joshua chapter one, verse eight.

  9. This book of the Law shall not DePass out of

  10. my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night,

  11. that I will observe to do according to all that

  12. is written in it. For then I will make my

  13. way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen.

  14. This devotion is titled You are the Clay, and our

  15. scripture reading will be taken from Jeremiah chapter eighteen, from

  16. verses one to six. And I read the word which

  17. came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, arise and go

  18. down to the Potter's house, and there I will cost

  19. you to hear my words. Then I went down to

  20. the potter's house, and there he was making something at

  21. the wheel, and the vessel that he made of clay

  22. was mad in the hand of the potter, so he

  23. made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good

  24. to the potter to make. Then the word of the

  25. Lord came to me, say, Old House of Israel, can

  26. I not do with you as this potter? Says the Lord. Look,

  27. as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are

  28. you in my hand, Old House of Israel. Amen, you

  29. are the clay. Imagine standing over a pot of sizzling

  30. onions and oil on the stove. You are trying to

  31. make a pot of tomatoes stew. But just when you're

  32. about to pour the tomatoes in, you hear them shouting

  33. from the cutain board. No, not me, grab the chicken instead.

  34. I can picture the flowergasted look on your face. Now,

  35. imagine sitting behind the potter's wheel, trying to craft a

  36. beautiful vase. You reach a stage where you need to

  37. collapse and remold the clay, and suddenly the lump of

  38. mad cries out in exasperation. Not again. Once again. Your

  39. expression will be a mixture of surprise and utter confusion.

  40. Yet how often do we do something just as odd

  41. by trying to direct the Almighty God on which seems

  42. to play out in our lives. There is an innate

  43. human need to have control over whatever happens to us

  44. and when it happens. However, when we sign up for

  45. the Born Again project and I enrolled in the School

  46. of the Spirit, we must understand that God is the

  47. master potter and the author of our stories. In no

  48. book that the character dictate to the author how each

  49. chapter shall turn out. Beloved, stop trying to control the narrative.

  50. Hand the clay back to the potter and watch the

  51. beauty that springs out of what you may think is

  52. absolute chaos. Yes, things may not look the way you

  53. hope they wild right now. Perhaps the very promises God

  54. whispered to you have yet to unfold. But remember our

  55. uncle scripture. When the vessel was mad in the hands

  56. of the potter, he didn't throw it in the trash.

  57. He remade it into another vessel, as it seemed good

  58. to the potter to make. God is the potter and

  59. we are the clay. Do not be discouraged or downcast

  60. because your current circumstances do not reflect the picture God

  61. has shown you and your dreams the crushing in the

  62. stretching you feel right now, isn't God destroying you? Is

  63. his hands reshaping you. As long as God has spoken it,

  64. he will do it. In as long as Jesus is alive.

  65. Your story is far from over. Amen, our memory there

  66. will be taken from Psalms thirty seven, verse twenty three,

  67. and I read the inultivation. The Lord directs the steps

  68. of the godly. He delights in every detail of the lives.

  69. The Lord directs the steps of the godly, He delights

  70. in every detail of their lives. Amen. Let's end on

  71. the notes of prayer. Heaven Father, we yield our lives

  72. to you today, affirming that you are indeed the all

  73. wise God. Give us grace to follow steadily in your leadership.

  74. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen, God bless you for

  75. joining us for today's episode. Radio HCI today has the

  76. best content to enrich your life. Stay tuned and have

  77. a blessed ye shalom.
