MGD: The Grip of God's Love

Heavenly Father, Blessing, grace, honor, and power be onto your

name this morning. We give you all the glory as

we humble ourselves to listen to your word, open our

hearts and minds to receive your wisdom today in Jesus'

depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in

the day and night that I may observe to do

the grip of God's love, taking from Second Couintance five,

verse fourteen and fifteen, and I read from the King

The gream of God's love. I once made a decision

that I knew right down in my bones was wrong.

At the time, I was clever enough to justify it.

I told myself it was practical. I convinced myself it

was necessary. I pushed my conscience aside and moved on

with my day. But God has a way of visiting

us when the world goes quiet. That night, sleep was impossible.

There was a weight on my chest that no amount

of torsing and taining cook shit. The more I tried

to ignore it behavior it became. What made it even

harder was that I knew I still had a small

window to make it right. I could go back and

admit the error, But that meant face and the cost.

It meant the sting of pride and the embarrassment of

saying I got this wrong. As I lay there in

the dark, wrestling with myself, I realized that God wasn't

just pointing out a mistake. He was axing a much

deeper question, who actually owned your life? It was then

I remembered the words of the apostle Paul in seeking

Corinthin's five fourteen, for the love of Christ constrained us.

In our modern world, we don't lie the idea of

being constrained. We want to be free, independent and in charge.

But Paul uses a word that suggests being gripped or

held together. He's saying that the love of Jesus acts

like a fence that keeps us from wandering off a cliff.

You see, Paul had reached a conclusion. He looked at

the cross and judged that if Christ died for everyone,

then everyone must have been dead without him. And if

he died for us, then we have lost the right

to live for ourselves. We are not our own We

were bought with the Christ. The restlessness I felt that

night wasn't God trying to make me miserable. It was

his love refusing to let me go. It was a

claim of the Cross upon my life. Many of us

want a savior who will wash away our past, but

we are less certain about a life lord who was

to governor present. Yet you cannot have one without the other.

The world tries to force us into line using fear

or rules, but God uses something far more powerful. He

uses the overwhelming reality of what Jesus did for us.

When you truly graps that He gave us life so

you could have yours, obedient, stop spinning a choreer. It

becomes a response of love. I had to get out

of bed, humble myself, and fix what I had broken.

It wasn't easy, but it brought a peace that no

self judgment could ever give. Beloved, perhaps you are carrying

a weight to day. Maybe there's a decision, a grudge,

where a secret you're holding onto. Don't fight the restlessness.

That pressure you feel isn't a heavy hand trying to

crush you. It is a loving hand trying to guide

you back. He loves you too much to leave you

where you are. Amen, well take our memory raise from

unto themselves, but unto Him who died for them. And

word of prayer. Lord Jesus, We thank you for your

word today. We pray that you forgive us for the

times we've ignored your voice and choosing what was convenient

over what was right. Thank you that your love won't

let us settle for less than your best. We surrender

every part of our lives to you. We pray that

you'll constrain us today with your love. Give us the

courage to make it right, to humble our pride into

work in obedience, not out of fear, because you first

loved us. Let your peace ruling our heart as we

choose to live for you who die for us and
