MGD: Eternal Investments - 3

Salom, wonderful family, and welcome to today's morning glorid devotion.

My name is Joshua from Harvest Chapel International Mercy, and

it is a privilege to be facilitating today's morning glory devotion.

Please let's pray. Father, We thank you for your goodness

and kindness towards us. Lord, we pray and commit our

time and your word this morning into your hands. Please

put over us a fresh as empowers. Please cause your

light to shine on our hearts and life through your word,

and transform us in the name of Jesus reprived thanksgiving. Amen.

Please let's take our conversion from Joshua Chapter one rest dates.

Joshua Chapter one rest date. This book of the Law

shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall

meditate in it today and night, that I may observe

to do according to all that is written in it.

For then I will make my way prosperous, and then

I will have good success. Amen. Today's discourse is the

final part of a three part series titled Eternal Investments.

Eternal Investments, the series is focused on how we can

lay up treasures for ourselves in heaven as admonished by

our Lord Jesus Christ in our Previo discusses we looked

at the qualification we need in order to be able

to lay up treasures for ourselves in heaven, which is

being born again into God's family. We also looked at

how investing time, treasure, and talent in God's word and

in working for him bring eternal benefits and rewards. Our

focus today will be to take a look at one

critical avenue of laying up treasures in heaven, which is

so winning. Our script reading will be from My Few

to passis West nineteen to twenty one My Few to

Pas six West nineteen to twenty one, reading from the

New King James version, It says, do not lay up

treasures for yourselves on earth, where mouth and rust destroyed,

and where these and steel, But lay up for yourselves

treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and

where thieves do not break in and steal. For where

your treasure is there. You have to be also, Amen, beloved.

We see from the first few chapters of the Book

of Genesis that man was God's star creation. After God

had made everything else, he finally created man as his

final act of creation before he rested on the seventh day,

and he entrusted oversight of all that he had made

into the hands of man. The account in Genesispter one

and two tell us that God created man in his

own image and likeness, and put a part of himself

in man by breathing into man. It is that breath

of God that made man a living so beloved. Looking

at the level of attention and the very nature of

the investment that God puts into the creation of man

gives us insight that God's plan and design for man

was not meant to be temporary, but eternal. Even after

the fall, which brought corruption into the world, inclims of

God's eternal design for man, still remained. King Solomon, in

giving voice to his perplexities regarding the falling state of man,

says in Ecclesiastis Saper three us eleven that God has

made everything beautiful in his time. Also he has put

eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find

out the work that God does from beginning to end.

But beloved, Thanks be to God that he sent his

son Jesus Christ into the world at an appointed time

to make his work and his plan known to all mankind.

Through our Lord jesus life, his death and resurrection, God

fully revealed his plan to reconcile mankind to himself. Before

our Lord Jesus ascended into heaven, he extended that commission

of reconciliation to all those who believe in him, and

that means you and I, Beloved. This great commission that

our Lord Jesus entrusted to us is a priceless opportunity

to make eternal investment through the sharing of the Gospel.

It is like a business owner making room for his

employees to own shares in his company by taking on

specific roles in the business of company. Beloved, so willed

is not a routine activity. It is a priceless opportunity

to lay up treasures for ourselves in heaven. The scriptures

make it clear that when all is said and done

and God brings the curtain to a cluse on this world,

everything will be destroyed. All the great inventions of man,

the mind boggling philosophies and theories, the beautiful works of art,

the wealth, the pedigrees, the power, the fame. Everything will

come to an abrupt end, definitive end of all the

things we see the only things that will survive beyond

that end will be the people we see and every

person has ever lived. But in that world beyond the end,

there are only two destinations, the place of eternal damnation

with the devil or Hell, and the place of eternal

rejoicing with God or Heaven. Beloved in God's eyes, people

are the true treasures of this world. And anyone who

ensures that someone ends up in heaven by sharing the

gospel of over angelism, discipleship, mentorship, encouragement, and intercession is

laying up treasure for himself or himself in heaven. Yes,

it is called that saves. But He has called us

into partnership in taking the Gospel to the world, and

He has prepared e tenal rewards for our investment of time, treasure,

and talent in making this partnership fruitful. Beloved to are

the result of someone's investment. But who are you investing in?

If Heaven is indeed the home that we all look

forward to returning to, then why does it often seem

like we are so much more focused on laying up

treasures for ourselves here on earth. Why are we so

much more focused on acquiring perishable things for ourselves rather

than investing in eternal souls for God's kingdom, Beloved, this morning,

God is calling us to look at our neighbors and

strangers alike in a new light. See each person you

meet as a unique opportunity to lay up treasure in

heaven by sharing a gospel aware of encouragement, a prayer

of interception, or a kind of gesture of help that

would bring that person to an awareness of Christ. Amen.

After all, all, what gives us hope and joy, and

what will be our proud reward and crown as we

stand before our Lord Jesus when he returns? It is you. Amen.

Let us pray Phata. We thank you for your word

and has come to us today. We thank you for

the privilege of patnary with you to take the Gospel

of reconciliation to the world. Lord, Please help us and

empower us by your Holy Spirit to be passionate about

sharing the Gospel with the world and be credible ambassadors

of your grace. Help us to remain strong in faith

and help us to encourage one another with cising words

in season. Please validate our trust and obedience to your

word with miracles, signs, and wonders. Whenever we call on

your name in the name of Jesus, we pray with thanksgiving. Amen.
