Life of Joseph Part two Diligence Brings Promotion. Lessons from
-
the Life of Joseph Part two Diligence Brings promotion and
-
our scripture reading will be from Genesis chapter thirty nine,
-
verse two to four. Genesis chapter thirty nine, verse two
-
to four, I'll be reading from the New Living Translation.
-
The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything
-
he did as he served in the home of his
-
Egyptian master. Potiphon noticed this and realized that the Lord
-
was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did.
-
This pleased Potiphar, so he soon made Joseph his personal attendant.
-
He put him in charge of his entire household and
-
everything he owned the word of the Lord, Thanks be
-
to God.
-
Lessons from the Life of Joseph Part two. Diligence brings promotion.
-
We often imagine Joseph's journey as a quick leap straight
-
from the pit to the palace, but between those two
-
massive moments were years of quiet, diligence, and hard work
-
in a place he never chose. Though he was far
-
from home, stripped off his dreams, and working for a
-
man who did not share his faith, Joseph did not
-
sink into despair or laziness. Instead, he showed up every
-
single day with diligence and integrity. His work ethic was
-
so undeniable that his master Potifier, a pagan Egyptian officer,
-
reached one clear conclusion. God is with this young man,
-
precious one in a day to day marketplace, sojournings, how
-
are we honoring God? How do we approach a daily
-
tasks and assignment at work? Do we go out them
-
with diligence and integrity? How are we contributing to the
-
success of the places we work? Potifer did not promote
-
Joseph out of sympathy. He promoted him because Joseph's faithful
-
management made his whole household thrive in God's kingdom. Faithfulness
-
in small things always comes before authority in bigger things.
-
Looked after sixteen, Verse ten reminds us if you are
-
faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones.
-
Diligence has a way of speaking. It catches the attention
-
of the people around you, and more importantly, it catches
-
the attention of God. When you bloom right away you
-
have been planted. God notices, and when God notices, he
-
starts opening doors that no human being can close. Collusions
-
three twenty three says work with all your heart as
-
working for the Lord, not for human masters. So whatever
-
assignment is in your hands today, at your job, in
-
your home, in church, or in your community, handle it
-
like it belongs.
-
To God.
-
Do it with all your heart, see it as an
-
opportunity to save him. Work faithfully at it. Your diligence
-
and integrity today are paving the way for your motion tomorrow. Amen,
-
let us kindly take our memory verse from Collusions three
-
twenty three from the Nalt. Work willingly at whatever you
-
do as though you were working for the Lord rather
-
than for people. Work willingly at whatever you do as
-
though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Amen.
-
Shall we pray a heavenly Father will thank you so
-
much for your ware this morning. Be continue to pray
-
for grace that everything I hands find doing will do
-
it as though we were working for you and not
-
for men. In Jesus might name. We pray. Amen, God,
-
bless you, dear One, for staying through our money, glory
-
devotion today. Join us again tomorrow same time for part
-
three of this series Lesson from the Life of Joseph.
-
Until then, stay tuned and stay blessed.
