  3. This is Harvestchapel International Dynamic Kumasi. Welcome to our morning

  4. glory devotion. This is Pasta and missus Amasa facilitating this

  5. morning glory devotion. Let's share a word of prayer. Our

  6. dear Lord. We thank you so much for this opportunity

  7. to come before you again to learn about you. We

  8. pray that Lord, even as we have come, you teach

  9. us your word, reveal yourself to us, and you step

  10. faith in our hearts to be able to receive your word.

  11. This in Jesus name. Amen. Let's take a confession together

  12. from Joshua chapter one, verse eight. This book of the

  13. Law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I

  14. shall meditate in it day and night, that I may

  15. observe to do according to all that is written in it.

  16. For then I'll make my way prospers, and then I

  17. will have good success in men. The topic for our

  18. morning Glory devotion is the prayer of faith. The prayer

  19. of faith. Our scripture readings for the morning shall be

  20. taken from Hebrews chapter eleven, verse six and Psalm seventy seven,

  21. verses ten to twelve. Hebrews eleven, verse six and Psalm

  22. seventy seven, verses ten to twelve. And I read Hebrews eleven,

  23. verse six. But without faith it is impossible to please him.

  24. For he who comes to God must believe that He is,

  25. and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently

  26. seek him, Psalm seven to seven, verse ten to twelve.

  27. And I said, this is my anguish, But I remember

  28. the years of the right hand of the Most High.

  29. I will remember the works of the Lord. Surely I

  30. will remember your wonderess of old. I will also meditate

  31. on all your work and talk of your deeds. Amen,

  32. the prayer of faith.

  33. Many years ago, when I was in my fifth year

  34. of primary school, we were required away new school uniforms

  35. for the next semester. As a childhood struggled with very

  36. serious inferiority complex, I was mentally tortured by the thought

  37. of entering the class in the new uniform. I thought

  38. to myself, what if everyone laughs me. What if I'm

  39. the only one who wears mine? What if I'm driving

  40. out of the class. I thought of this for many

  41. weeks before school finally reopened. I didn't know much about

  42. God or prayer. All I knew was what I saw

  43. my father do. So I decided to take a first

  44. and pray to this God just as he did. And

  45. I prayed that God should make it rain, which would

  46. require me to wear a cardigan, hence no one would

  47. see my full at here and I would be slightly comfortable.

  48. I didn't know if it would happen or not. I

  49. remember sharing this plan with my cousins, who thought it

  50. was a silly expectation, but I waited to see what

  51. would happen. To our surprise, on the reopening dates, at

  52. the crack of dawn, started raining heavily. I was so

  53. shocked and so surprised, and so were my cousins. I

  54. wasn't sure if God had answered my prayer or if

  55. it was just a mere coincidence. But just like William

  56. Temple said in his coat, when we pray, coincidence has happened,

  57. and when we don't, they don't. So I believe God

  58. did answer my prayer, no matter how childish it may

  59. have seened. I believe he answered not for my emotional satisfaction,

  60. because it was a rather silly and childish request. But

  61. I believe he answered so I would know that I

  62. am praying not to an unknown God, but a living

  63. God who exists, who he is and answers prayer. I

  64. believe that he answered to leave that memory in my

  65. mind he Brews eleven sixtys. He who comes to him

  66. must first believe that God exists. I don't have to

  67. go to him for such requests anymore, thanks to maturity.

  68. Knowing that He exists is enough. Knowing that my life

  69. is completely in his hands. It's enough. I have built

  70. this confidence because I have seen the faithfulness of God

  71. in many other areas of my life. There may be

  72. times when we feel down and feel like God has

  73. somehow forgotten, but when we pray, he reminds us of

  74. past experiences and how He's proving time and time when

  75. again that he will take care of us. And this

  76. stairs are faith in us. The Psalmist in Ps. Seventy seven,

  77. first tentative prayed and encouraged himself, staring up faith in

  78. his heart by remembering God's goodness in times past. So

  79. remember where you were and where you are now, and

  80. when you pray, believe, have faith and trust that you

  81. are praying to a living God who exists, and just

  82. as he did it before, he will do it again.

  83. When remember how God previously helped us, it builds our

  84. faith and gives us confidence that He can do it

  85. again and again. Amen, Beloved. Our memory verse for today

  86. will be taken from Hebrews Shaped I Living Their Six

  87. b Hebrews shaped I Living their six be For he

  88. who comes to God must believe that he is and

  89. that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seeking.

  90. For he who comes to God must believe that he

  91. is and that he is a rewarder of those who

  92. diligion seeking. Amen.

  93. Amen, Our dear Lord, help us to always be able

  94. to trust in You when we pray and believe you

  95. to be able to do exceedingly and abundantly far above

  96. our petitions. Grant us disagreece in Jesus name. Amen.
