MGD: Comfort and Encouragement - 1

Welcome to our Morning Glory Devotion. Privilege to be facilitating

today's Morning Glory devotion are your sister and brother Sarahma

and Rebels Japan. Before we begin, we would like to

take our confession from Joshua chapter one, Ver's eight. Josh

Chapter one, Ver's eight. This book of the Law shall

not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate

in it day and night, and observe to do according

to all that is written in it. But then I'll

make my way prosperous, and then I'll have good success. Amen.

The message for a Morning Glory Devotion is titled Comfort

and Encouragement Part one. Comfort and Encouragement Part One. It

is subtitled Father of all Messies and God of all Comfort,

Father of all Messies and God of all Comfort. Now

we shall take our memory verse from Second Corinthians, Chapter one,

Verse three.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ,

the Father of mercies and God of all comforts.

Amen. Amen, we live in a vast and beautiful universe.

Whenever you look out your window at night, you look

at the stars in the skies, you may sometimes feel

overwhelmed by the skill and beauty of the world that

you see. We have been told that there are about

two trillion galaxies in our observable universe. In this incredible

expanse of space, of light and selester bodies, r F

stands as a crown and a jewel. It has just

the right blend of atmospheres that can sustain the diversity

of life that we know. This is indeed very wonderful,

and so when you consider all of this, it is

possible for we and our troubles to seem quite insignificant.

You may say to ourselves, Oh, the architect of this

universe is clearly very great, and so is probably more

concerned with the bigger matters of this vast universe. So

what really is there to care about a deeply troubled

humanity scarrying about on the surface of the Earth. Even

on the Earth, there's a lot more that goes on

besides the day to day case of men, a human

world of pain and uncertainty, of discomfort and death. However

present it is on us, It's only a tiny dark

spot on the bright and vast convas of the universe.

To the vast majority of human beings, our maker often

seems very far removed from our face. Our earthly home

doesn't often feel like a place of rest and relaxation.

Sin has made our human life a long, hard and

anxious flight from that which cannot be fled from death.

Nations have been fighting for thousands of years. Wicked men

are still wicked, The poor still have their poverty to

contend with, and the rich will ultimately leave their possessions behind.

This is the pain and trouble of humanity. Many family

relationships are strained, the desolate women still have both pains

and anxieties that cannot be spoken of in the open,

and young men still bear their yokes with no real

guarantees of rests from labor and care. In this lifetime

or even in the lists. The world offers very few favors.

And yet we know that we have not been excused

from accountability. Second Corinthians five ten tells us that there

is an expectation for us to give an account for

everything that we do in the flesh. And so where

do we tend to? Where can we insignificant humans find

a bound to soothe our many ages? Paul says to

us to turn to the blessed and great architect of

this universe himself, because he is both a God and

a father. God has bound himself by a covenant to

those who are faith in Jesus Christ, a covenant of

faithfulness and an uncertain world, of salvation from death and distraction,

and of victory by his blood. God has made the

pledge of everlasting messis, with timely and enduring comfort by

the Word and his Spirit for us in this world

and in the world to come. And why do we

believe and bless his name for it? Because He is

indeed the Father and the source of messis, and the

God of all comfort, and so beloved. We invite you today,

as children of God God, to say to him, well done, Father,

thank you for the pledge of everlasting life, for the

seal of your spirit, and for the comfort of the scriptures.

Now let us read our memory verse again.

Blessed be the Father and God of our Lord, Jesus Christ,

the Father of mercies and God of all comforts.

Second Corinthians, Chapter one, verse three. Let us pray, heavenly Father,

thank you for the comfort with which you have comforted us.

Because we know that by that you make us able

to comfort others too. Give you all the glory and

the praise in Jesus' name. Amen, Amen, love it. Thank

you for joining us once again, and we hope to

see you again tomorrow for the second part of our devotion.
