Welcome to today's episode of the Morning Glory Devotion. This

is Sarah mar and Rebels Jabin from Harvest Chapel International

Commercy and it's our privilege to be facilitating today's edition.

Please let us share a word of prayer.

Fatabi. Thank you for the privilege to gather together at

your feet to listen to your word. Please open our

eyes and let us see wondrous things out of your

word in Jesus, Amen.

Amen. Now let us take our confession from josh chapter one,

verse eight. This book of the Law shall not depart

out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it

to day and night that I may observe to do

according to all that is written in it. But then

I'll make my way prosperous, and then I'll have good success. Amen.

Our Bible reading text shall be taken from josh chapter one,

verse five, and from John chapter fourteen, verse seventeen.

Joshua one, verse five. Just as I was with Moses,

I will be with you. No one will be able

to stop you all your life. I will not abandon you.

I will never leave you. Amen. Amen, John fourteen seven.

The Helper is the spirit of truth. The people of

the world cannot accept him because they don't see him

or know him, But you know him. He leaves with you,

and he will be in you. Amen.

Amen. Today's episode of the Morning Glory Devotion has been

titled Comfort and Encouragement Part three. Comfort and Encouragement Part three.

The subtitle is just as I was with the Fathers,

Just as I was with the Fathers. There's a saying

that no man is an island. This is something we

can all agree with, and it supposes that no man

can or should be on his own. He needs the

companion support of others. When trying times come and loved

ones gather, you would often hear statements like were with you,

I stand with you, we are all in this together,

and so on. Many of us have readers said or

received these words at some point in our life. It

is a show of support. This can be soothing, and

it often lightens the emotional burden of life's difficulties. In

some instances, these words are backed by tangible acts to

help the situation of the troubled fellow. There are, however,

many other instances when these words of solidarity and comfort

are dished out just as a matter of social convention,

with no accompanying tangible advantage to the receiver, and so

a troubled person may well receive many ways of solidarity

and comfort and still be at a loss as to

what they mean for the unpleasant facts of their life. Friends,

we should appreciate it when we're meaning. People around us

liberally give wit of solidarity and comfort. However, you must

acknowledge their limitations. They sometimes may not have anything to

offer that would change your situation for the better, and

may not even know what real support should look like.

There is, however, someone who always backs his words with

tangible advantage. When God says that he stands with you,

he means it in a very specific and tangible sense.

This is the advantage we have as believers. We have

a God who has worked with men from the beginning

of time and as related with them in a consistent manner.

When God pledges his support, it is in a specific

and tangible sense. After Moses died, God appeared to Joshua

and pledged to be with him. His words were not

merely meant to soothe the emotions of a man giving

the loss of his master. He did not leave Joshua

wondering how he would support him. God said he w

be with Joshua just as he had been with Moses,

and so Joshua only needed to look back at how

God had held Moses in his role as the leader

of Israel, in order to look at how God lifted

up Moses in the eyes of the people of Israel

and caused them to revere and obey him, how God

work miracles by his hand, how God patted the Red

Sea for him, how God gave miraculous provisions, and how

God gave Moses his ear and commitment of his instructions

to him. When he looked at all these things, Joshua

would know exactly what to expect. The same God has

in our own days pledge to be our support and comforter,

and to be that in a very specific way. His spirit,

he says, will be in us and with us, just

as he was with the prophets of gold and apostles

of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is a tangible advantage.

Is the guarantee that we shall do the wakes of Jesus,

and even greater works. Is the guarantee that whatever the

world throws at us in trials and tribulations, in wants

and in sufferings, we shall overcome. And so rather than

sisters than the Lord. That's consider what our individual or

collective situations of life may be. Do you feel of

our home by the demands of your ministry, wondering how

all that God said would come to pass? Do you

suppose you are insufficient for the task he has called

you to? Are you worried about the new relationship or

your responsibility? Do you feel a lack of wisdom and

skill needed to succeed? Are you struggling to keep your

home together while trying to excel in your career. Have

you been wondering how you can secure your child's future.

Perhaps you could use a word of encouragement and comfort

so that you know that you are not in it

alone and that you don't have to reinvent the real

Let us take heart, because God has spoken to us

concerning these very things. He says that in all of

it He will be with us. He will not leave

us as offans. Look through the scriptures, consider the testimony

of many saying who have gone ahead of you. They

have been fathers of faith, rules of nations, kings and priests,

fathers and mothers of nations. And there have been apostles

and prophets, men and women from all walks of life.

What they have in common is the testimony of a

God who is an enduring source of comfort and encouragement,

and an ever present help in times of trouble. And so,

Dearly Beloved, let us take heart and approach this life

with confidence and courage, because our God is not only faithful,

is also capable of helping us in everything we have

to do. Amen. Amen, Let us read that may me

invest again from josh chapter one, verse five.

Joshua one five. Just as I was with Moses, I

will be with you. No one will be able to

stop you all your life. I will not abandon you.

I will never leave you.

Amen.

Let us pray Heavenly Father, you are a faithful God

and the capable help for all our troubles. Thank you

for giving us your abiding presence and pledging to never

leave or forsake us. Just as you have been with

men and women throughout history, you will also help us

through every situation of life. We receive this blessing today

in Jesus Mighty name. Amen, Amen, beloved, Thank you for

being a part of today's episode of the Morning Glory Devotion.
