  10. let's kindly take a confession from Josh chapter one, verse eight.

  11. Josh chapter one, verse eight. This book of the Law

  12. shall not depart from my mouth, but I shall meditate

  13. a next day and nights that I may observe to

  14. do according to all that is written in it. For

  15. then I will make my way across pross, and then

  16. I will have good success. Amen. Our thing for study

  17. today is doing good, doing good, And our scripture reading

  18. shall be taken from Galicians chapter six, verse nine and ten.

  19. Galicians chapter six, verse nine and ten. I would be

  20. reading from the New King James version. And let us

  21. not grow wary while doing good, for in due season

  22. we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore,

  23. as we have opportunity, let us do good to all,

  24. especially to those who are of the household of faith.

  25. The Lord add his blessings to the reading of his word.

  26. Thanks lead to God, Amen, doing good. Doing good One

  27. of the major hallmarks of the Christian faith is doing

  28. good deeds. It is a characteristic that usually gives us

  29. out as Christians as children of light. The Bible admonishes

  30. us in Matthew chapter five, the verse sixteen, to let

  31. our lights shine through our good works, that men may

  32. glorify our Father, who is in heaven. Before I signed

  33. up to be a Christian, I saw that to do

  34. good list of the faith as something very simple to follow.

  35. After all, how difficult is it to help the needing

  36. in society or to treat others with dignity. It was

  37. after signing up that I realized that doing good had

  38. a lot more than what I anticipated. In the first

  39. part of this series, we'll try to understand what it

  40. means to do good from Jesus's perspective. While on ep

  41. our Master Jesus, in a space of three years, taught

  42. us more about what it really means to do good

  43. than any philanthropists could ever do in a lifetime. It

  44. was nothing to do with how miracle lost. These acts

  45. of goodness were done by him. Yes, he healed the sick,

  46. he claimed the lepers, he cast out demons, attended to

  47. the knee of the poor father hungry, and raised the dead. However,

  48. underlying all these good deeds was a heart deep seated

  49. in love and having no selfish ambition, with no strengths attached.

  50. These are their underlying factors that made him travel far

  51. and wide, mostly on foot, passionately and willingly, doing good

  52. in every corner, and not seeking a reward. It was

  53. these same factors that often got him telling the people

  54. he healed, and claims not to tell anyone, for he

  55. sought neither fame, press nor applause. And so looking at

  56. the examples of Jesus really calls some of the so

  57. called good deeds we see and do on a regular

  58. basis into question. Where they turned willingly and passionately out

  59. of love with no strengths attached. The truth is man

  60. after the four has been configured to be self seeking

  61. by default. And this is how I know it is

  62. true whenever I first received the shot of a group

  63. picture taken with family or friends, the first person I

  64. seek to see is me? Or do you do otherwise?

  65. And so, how can.

  66. We do good? Like Jesus? How can we meet the

  67. heavily standard of doing good not just sometimes but all

  68. the time? Acts Chapter ten, verse thirty eight holds the

  69. answer to these questions. It tells us that Jesus went

  70. about doing good because God anointed him with the Holy

  71. Ghost and with power. Yes, there is power to do good,

  72. and it comes from the Father. This power takes us

  73. beyond just being morally good. It enables us to always

  74. do good like Jesus, ever willing with love on thing,

  75. seeking the good of others first by default. And so

  76. how do we plug into this power? First? Is simply

  77. by asking, sincerely, God anoints me with the Holy Ghost

  78. and with power. Jesus's ministry began on this note, and

  79. ours can be no different. Can you talk to your

  80. pastors if you have trouble understanding what it means to

  81. receive the Holy Ghost. Secondly, like Jesus, start each day

  82. with the Father in prayer, spend some time communing with

  83. the Father, and commits the events of the day into

  84. his hand. It is right there in prayer that you

  85. will draw strength for the day's good deeds in spite

  86. of the challenges you may face. Finally, remember that no

  87. good deed is done in the absence of the Father.

  88. Like the scriptures told us, God was with Jesus as

  89. it winds about. Doing good of the Father is needed

  90. in order to do good. God is always actively present

  91. with us as long as we obey his word. While

  92. we obey his word, there is power to do good

  93. like Jesus. While he is with us, he will make

  94. us aware of the needs of others and teach just

  95. how best to address them in love. Before you go

  96. about today's activities, remember to plug into the power to

  97. do good. Stay blessed. Let us kindly take our memory

  98. verse for today. Our memory verse for today shall be

  99. taken from Acts. Attend the verse thirty eight. Acts. To

  100. attend the verse thirty eight, I will be reading from

  101. the King James version. How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth

  102. with the Holy ghost and with power, who went about

  103. doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil,

  104. for God was with him. How God annointed Jesus of

  105. Nazareth with the Holy ghost and with power, who went

  106. about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of

  107. the devil, for God was with him. Amen. Let us

  108. share word of prayer. Good Father, we thank you for

  109. veiling the truth to us. Receive grace to daily plug

  110. into the power to do good, that our lights may

  111. shine and glorify your holy name in Jesus's mighty name. Amen, Beloved,

  112. with our strength we will feel at doing good. The

  113. power to do good like Jesus only comes from the Father.

  114. Let us seek this power. By God's grace. We will

  115. come your way again with the continuation of this series

  116. in the next episode of Morning Glory. God richly bless

  117. you have a wonderful day. Salom.
