How God anointed Jesus of Nazarene with the Holy spirit
-
and with power, who went about doing good and healing
-
all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was
-
with him, Salem Beloved. This is another wonderful morning by
-
God's grace. We are grateful to God for his gifts
-
of life. My lovely husband and I from the Harvest
-
Shappel International Nyamiko Marsi. I'm happy to be facilitating today's
-
episode of Morning Glory Devotion on Radio HCI. Today. Please
-
let's pray ever faithful Father, thank you for renewed messes
-
for today. We are glad to start our day at
-
your free steady in your word. Teach us today and
-
grant us understanding in the much less name of Jesus. Amen. Amen,
-
Let's kindly take a confession from josh chapter one, verse eight.
-
Joshua chapter one, verse eight. This book of the Law.
-
Shall not depart from my mouth, but I shall meditate
-
a next day and night that I may observe to
-
do according to all that is written in it. For
-
then I'll make my way prosperous, and then I will
-
have good success. Amen.
-
Our thing for study today is doing good part two,
-
Doing Good Part two. Scripture reading shall be taken from
-
Galicians Chapter six Ver's nine to ten. Galicians, Chapter six
-
Ver's nine to ten. I will be reading from the
-
New King James version. And let us not go weary
-
while doing good, for in due season we shall reap
-
if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity,
-
let us do good to all, especially to those who
-
are of the household of faith. The Lord add his
-
blessings to the reading of his word. Thanks be to God, Amen, Amen.
-
Doing Good Part two, Doing Good Part two. In our
-
last episode, we saw that doing good willingly, passionately, and
-
with love on thing in all circumstances does not come easy. However,
-
by looking at Acts chapter ten the verse thirty eight,
-
we realize that we can only be as good as
-
Jesus if we receive the power of doing good that
-
comes from the Father. The question next is what happens
-
after that power or grace to do good has been
-
made available to us by the Holy Spirit. This will
-
be our area of focus in this second episode of
-
doing Good. In order to appropriate the power of good
-
deeds made available to us, we must first start by
-
seeking opportunities to do good. All around us there are
-
several opportunities to do good. If we go out purpose
-
fully seeking opportunities to do good, the Holy Spirit will
-
help us find them. They are all around us. Indeed, however,
-
it is only those who seek them passionately that will
-
find them. To the one who seeks them not, he
-
hardly sees the needs in the lives of others, and
-
even when he does, he sees no wrong with them.
-
To him, what is wrong with an aged man standing
-
on the bus, or a brother in worn out shoes,
-
or a sister wearing the same clothes every Sunday. They
-
are just but another topic for gossip or discussion with others.
-
If we do not go seeking, we will never be
-
prompted by the Holy Spirit of the opportunities to do good.
-
After the Holy Spirit has made us aware of the
-
needs in the lives of the people that surround us,
-
the next step is to move in action as long
-
as it brings it to our attention. Notes that he
-
is prompting us to do something about that situation. Yes,
-
the least we can do is to pray about it.
-
But more often than not, when the Holy Spirit brings
-
these promptings of our way, and it is because we and him
-
know very well that we can do more than just
-
pray about it. He would have provided us with the
-
means to meet that need. Let us not go praying
-
when we know and have what to actually give to
-
address that need. Remember that if we always consider our
-
needs first before that of others, we will never have
-
enough to pass on to others. And so, being prompted
-
of the action to do in addressing and need, let
-
us simply obey. The power to do good is best
-
appropriated in the confines of obedience. Without obedience, the power
-
to do good will just be latent and inactive, lacking
-
the evidence of its existence. Our obedience to the prompts
-
of the Holy Spirit should be complete and wholesome. In
-
other words, it should be done in the manner he prescribes,
-
and at the time of his choosing. We sometimes, for
-
various reasons, fail to completely obey these promptents, missing one
-
or both. If he asks us to give it in secret,
-
let us do so and make no public show of it.
-
If it requests that we give a certain quantum, let's
-
not change it for any reason. Also, let us not
-
miss out on the timing of his choosing good done
-
late is often no good at all. When we contemplate
-
too long before doing good deeds, our intentions gradually drift
-
from doing it all to the glory of God, to
-
doing it based on what we will gain when it
-
is in our power to give. Now, let us never postpone.
-
And so as we begin our day, let us seek
-
opportunities to do good, and by the help of the
-
Holy Spirit, when we find them, let us act on them.
-
And while we act on them, let us make sure
-
we do so in the manner he prescribes and at
-
the timing of his treason. Let us never postpone doing
-
good when we can do it now. God richly bless you.
-
Let us kind of take our memory verse for today.
-
Our memory versus shall be taken from Proverbs such as
-
three the verses twenty seven and twenty eight Proverbs three
-
the verses twenty seven and twenty eight. I shall be
-
reading from the New King James version. Do not withhold
-
good from those to whom it is due, when it
-
is in the power of your hand to do so.
-
Do not say to your neighbor, go and come back
-
and to morrow I will give it when you have
-
it with you do not withhold good from those to
-
whom it is due, when it is in the power
-
of your hand to do so. Do not say to
-
your neighbor, go and come back and to morrow I
-
will give it when you have it with you. Amen.
-
Let us candly share a word of prayer. Good Father,
-
we are blessed because of the understanding you have given
-
us this morning. Thank you for teaching us what it
-
means to be good and how to appropriate the power
-
you have given to us. Receive grace to go out
-
seeking opportunities to do good and acting on them in
-
complete obedience in Jesus's mighty name.
-
Amen, Precious one, let us remember to daily sick opportunities
-
to do good and in obedience follow it by action
-
done in his time. Amen. Amen, thank you for staying
-
tune to Radio ACI today. There's more to come your way.
-
Keep your dolls right here. By godsh grace. We will
-
come your way again with another episode of Morning Glory Devotion,
-
same time tomorrow morning. Until then, God richly bless you
-
and have a blessed day.
-
Shalom.
