MGD: Verify Before Judgement

welcome to today's episode of the Morning Glory Devotion. This

of the Morning Glory Devotion. Let her share a word

of prayer. Father, we thank you for another wonderful privilege

to come together at your feet to listen to your weed.

Please open our eyes and let us see the wondrous

things out of your wad Jesus might. Amen. Amen, Let's

take a conversion from Josh chapter one vers. Eight. Josh

chapter one, verge it. This book of the law shall

not depart out of Crima, but I shall meditate in

it day and night, that I may observe to do

according to all that is waiting in it. For then

I will make my way postwards, and then I will

have good success. Amen. This morning's devotion focuses on Verifi

before judgment, verifie before judgment. Our main test is from

Genesis chapter eighteen Ver's twenty to twenty one. Let's hear

the word of the Lord. The Lord said, since the

outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and they are

saint grievous. I will descend now to see if they

have done and all that has been reported against them.

If not, I will not amen.

Verify before judgment. In our daily lives, whether at home

or work, we encounter a painful reality. Assumptions can easily

take roots. A single whisper, an incomplete report, or a

misinterpreted action can build a world of incorrect conclusions. I

recall a life changing experience involving a serious misunderstanding between

a waker and my family. A seemingly convencing reports sparked

anger and a desire for immediate correction. Everything seemed clear,

and the temptation to judge was overwhelming. However, passing to

speak privately, ask questions, and listening to and voiced perspectives

shifted the situation. I realized how close I had come

to causing and necessarily being to an innocent person based

solely on appearances. This experience sobered me, teaching me that

hasty judgments leave deep scars, shatter trusts, and create lasting wounds.

Considered this, how many people in our pews today are

walking through our office doors carry silent wounds stemming from

complete misunderstanding. How many young people have mixed opportunities because

someone in authority acted on a false repose without verifying

the facts. And how many families have been torn apart

and lifelong friendships have ended in bitterness because people choose

to believe a rumor overseeking the truth. This is a

pervasive issue. It manifests in our marriages where spouse misinterpret

a text message or a late arrival and immediately assumes

the west. It's a case in our churches where leader

acts on gossip, causing a dedicated member to live in grief.

It happens in our offices where manager denies a promotion

based on a one sided complaint. Live in an environment

where people are quick to speak, quick to anger, and

incredibly slow to investigate. Let's consider the magnificence and standard

God set for us in Genesis chapter eighteen. Imagine the

sain God is speaking with Abraham. The cries of wickedness

in Sodom and Gomurrah have reached heaven. We know our

all loving God sees the secrets of every heart and

doesn't need a human report to understand the situation. However,

notice the language the Holy Spirit uses. God says, I

will go down and now see, and if not, I

will know. Why would the Almighty speak this way? He

established a pattern for us, demonstrating that justice demands verification.

If the creator of the universe takes the time to

look closely, check the facts, and verify the outcry before

pouring out judgment, who are weaing to react blindly to

every piece of news. Verification isn't a sign of weakness

or hesitation. It's a reflection of God's character within us.

Our Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated this defined wisdom throughout his

heathly ministry. Consider a woman caught an adultery in June

chapter eight. A loud, angry crowd rushed to Jesus, bringing

a clay, report the law and stones, demanding immediate condemnation.

The noise must have been deafening, yet Jesus remained composed.

He didn't join the shouting nor reacts to the crowd's emotions. Instead,

he stook down and wrote on the ground with his finger,

creating a holy pause. This slowed the momentum of anger,

allowing truth to speak. He looked beyond the immediate accusation,

saw the hearts of the accusers and handled the broken

woman with perfect truths and exquisite mercy. True leaders, godly fathers,

and mat your believers don't simply react to norms the

sick understanding before reaching a conclusion. So how do we

apply this to our lives today as we step out

into the world. First, when you hear an unsettling report

about your child, spurse, colleague, or church member, enforce a

holy pause. Don't let your emotions drive your tongue. Take

a deep breath and prey fast. Secondly, practice the charity

of asking questions. Instead of confronting someone with an acquisition,

approach them with a genuine desire to understand. For example,

say this is what I heard or how it seemed

to me. Could you please help me understand what happened.

You'll be amazed at how often a simple explanation dispels suspicion. Finally,

refuse to spread and verified reports. If you haven't witnessed

the event yourself or spoken to the parties involved, don't

share it. Let gossip die on your lips. Let's rise

above the tendency of a rash to conclusions. By choosing

the path of patient verification, we can protect our homes, workplaces,

and ministries. Amen, let's share a word of prayer. Lord,

Thank you for the wisdom of your word and the

example you have set before us. Help every leader walk

in fairness, wisdom, and understanding. Teach us to slow down

before making weighty decisions and to seek truth before judgment.

Deliver us from haste assumptions and unfair conclusions. Let our

leadership reflect your justice, mercy, and love in Jesus' name. Amen,

Do not listen to an accusation against an elder unless

it is confirmed by two or three witnesses. Amen. Thank
