-
Doctor Joseph Being, head Pastor of Harvest Chapel International Commercy.
-
And now to today's message.
-
Let's take our conversion before we take our seats from
-
Joshua one verse eight spoke of the Law shall on
-
depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in
-
it today at night, that I may observe to do
-
according to all that is written in it.
-
But then I will make my way prosperous, and then
-
I will have good success in Jesus' name. Amen, why
-
don't you take your seats, open your bibles with me
-
to the Gospel of Luke turn the eleven where we
-
find our uncle Scripture for the Man and were going
-
to examine or in our prayer lives handed low here
-
as I said earlier, and a lot of us are
-
not praying, and we are not praying.
-
We are just reciting our prayers. Why simply because the
-
connection is not there. The connection is not there. When
-
the connection is not there, you can't you will recite
-
your prayers because when you come before God, you're based
-
on what's the authority in which you must be granted
-
the hearing in the course of Eavy. You are not
-
the child that's no seal of the only Spirit in you.
-
I'm sure the angels crowd will ask you how did
-
you get here? And they will work you out how
-
they do it and say, my friend, you bring a
-
Bay protocol. The only way is reasoning why we allow
-
and carry your prayers before the throne of the only,
-
potent and omnission God, is that you we must see
-
and recognize the seal of God in your life, the
-
Holy Spirit. Else you'll just be contented with, you know,
-
just reciting your prayer. But God doesn't just want he say,
-
God is so merciful, that is why we must bring
-
order or that is that get born again. First, get
-
the seal of the Holy Spirit, and then we are God.
-
We are ready to go in conversation. But if he's
-
not there, who are you to demand the audience with
-
the King of glory? Who are you? Hallelujah? Amen? The
-
connection is often is not there on No, Ma two,
-
we are disconnected from God. That's when we are back sliding.
-
And then with this, I don't have time. Who told
-
you don't have time? You have time twenty four good hours.
-
You have a lot of time to appushing a secting
-
segment five minutes, ten minutes, fifteen minutes, twenty ten minutes
-
to God in prayer. You're busy all day? No that
-
lunch break, hallelujah Amen, not washroom break that time you
-
say that so you realize that is when you understand
-
these things. Yes, everybody's busy life is, but you redeem
-
the type. You even get there. You even get there
-
in the morning. You rise up in the morning, Ellen
-
in the money, in the money, I will rise and
-
praise the Lord. Oh my God, the only sprain will
-
just deposit the song in you. That's why it's so
-
important to the believer's life, and wherever there is saying,
-
the only spirit cannot dwelt there. That's why I'm saying
-
that most of us are disconnected with God. We are
-
not admitting it. Is it a thing about God, this
-
Christian life. Those of us who stand here, all of us,
-
all of us who.
-
Ultimately will make it.
-
It is not because we will never stand but will
-
never will never say no. But we have learned that
-
from the secret about the nature of God, the mercifulness
-
of God, the messes of God. There by day says
-
there I knew every morning, and we tap into that resource.
-
And you know he picks us up from the marrycle
-
He's a righteous man, shall fall seven times, but God
-
is always present with the helping her. I said, son,
-
you can't meet it. You have mandy to yourself. Rise up,
-
I'm going to help you. You think I've never seen before.
-
Not that is what will disqualify me from standing here.
-
But it's because I've received and tasted of the messes
-
of God in stumbling and falling and being lifted out
-
of the merry clay and set upon the rock. That
-
is why I can come here and I can tell
-
you and instruct you. Now we save a messyful God
-
who will help us. The Bible says, it's not on consent,
-
but our frailities and our imperfections. No, but why I
-
will learn to if you like, access that grace of
-
God so that we don't backslide. That is the difference
-
between those who are making it in humility and those
-
who in prideful things that I don't need God, You
-
don't need God. Halln Lujah. Lots of believers are not pray, loss,
-
are not pre They are just reciting some prayers. As
-
I said, wrong connections or the nation is not dead
-
or it was once upon a time day disconnected, wrong
-
or non existent foundations. That's what I talked about the
-
covenant relationship. God is not your dat He doesn't know them.
-
And that's that. It's not you saying that you know
-
God because you are rest something know the encounters the
-
personal revelation. God is a spirit, he says, and he
-
desired to be known. He says there that worship him
-
must worship him.
-
In spirit and in truth.
-
In truth. If you don't know him, you get the
-
information and you do what the Word of God says.
-
The APCs renouncaying be genuine and sayce here cry out.
-
He said, whatsoever a call upon the name of the
-
Lord shall be saved.
-
You hear the.
-
Claims of God upon your life, and you know that
-
there is an offer of pardon, remission, cleansing, and then strengthening.
-
You take advantage of it and say, God, Yeah, I
-
am I'm a sinner. I am a candidate for your grace.
-
I need your help. I've just been wandering around this way.
-
I don't know my purpose. I am lost. I am lost.
-
The certain thing is to be in church that you
-
are lost.
-
And because most of us are coming from religious background,
-
that's it. And since I was telling me and he says,
-
it's it. And as we're having a I said, now
-
you tell me what is the problem. What is the problem?
-
He said, I don't know God. I don't know God.
-
I don't know God because my knowledge of Him is
-
all about supply, supply supplies. And I look at my
-
family and he's not supplying. Why does my parents have
-
to work hard? Heart hat I've seen them following God.
-
I've said.
-
Every morning we are waking up, we are doing money devotion,
-
and then when we come home there's nothing in the house,
-
So where is the God? So in my heart he said,
-
I'm disconnected because God is supprised, supposed to be a supply.
-
He's no supply, no shoe, no bread on the table.
-
So a lot of us have drifted away. There's no
-
relationship with God. We are not recognized in the heavens
-
as children of God or citizens of the Kingdom. And
-
I believe that one of the things that we need
-
to learn is that look, anytime that you're examine your
-
faith walk with God and you find that they are cracks,
-
they are imperfection, never ever blame. But God is blameless
-
God never since It's a very, very very important that
-
you and I we have to it's going to bring
-
a lot of grace and humanity to us when we
-
recognize that God doesn't any time that we find out
-
that our Christian life is not working, the prayers are
-
not being answered all all of them. I will engage
-
some students, a group of students and were we're talking,
-
and there's this I'm sure it was new and then
-
so I threw out them and should I see an equation?
-
I said, and can we maybe we maybe we can
-
also do that exercise can we look at our prayer
-
lives since you were born again? You know, it's just
-
a rough something. All the prayers and Christ remember what
-
I just said. I said, the prayers they are answered.
-
There's a shelf or answer prayers or unanswered prayers or
-
wait and answer. So I said, can we all roughly
-
just can of mine since you got born again? All
-
the prayers that you have pray, what proportion would you
-
say have been answered? You know? Yes? And then on
-
answered prayers? You know. So we're a group, we're doing
-
the Bible steady, and so as we're going around, and
-
then some we say, thirty percent of all my prayer discourses,
-
God answered prayer thirty In fact, the maximum that we
-
had was fifty, if I remember. So we came to
-
this brother and then he just look, I said, past zero.
-
And then.
-
It's a zero percent. Then we go we all couldn't
-
help laugh, and then we say that you know, I'm
-
saying you're zero percent. It is not because God is
-
no show God. It is because of you. And then
-
he admitted it. You're not born again. The connection is
-
not dead, so God is not bound to answer your prayer.
-
I'm sure he was near. I was still find it,
-
and he admitted that the foundation was non existing. Hallelujah Amen.
-
So that the highest we had I'm sure I don't
-
know about you me and me too. Maybe I'll do
-
fifty percent or a tetive or whatever.
-
Hallelujah.
-
But we're still pressing on. We are not stopping praying.
-
Hallelujah Amen. So it all means once again, the Word
-
of God, Hallelujah. In the Word of God, once we
-
have that balance that we need, that critical balance that
-
we need. And it's very, very important that the greatest
-
need in the church today and just like every age else,
-
will not find God telling us in the Word of
-
God that my people prayerish for lack of knowledge. Halleluier.
-
So that in this man as we pursue to bring
-
order into our prayer lives, I just want to urge
-
and I just want to encourage that we bring order
-
as well in our word life, because they go hand
-
in hand. Halleluiah. Because in the Word of God, we're
-
going to be able to and again not just information,
-
but also knowledge, wisdom inside understanding. In the Word of God,
-
we will meet God giving a personal revelation of myself
-
as the Lord, the Boss and the governor of the
-
entire universe. Alleluyer amen. And when you get it, understand
-
and grabs this thing that God is in charge not
-
just of the nations. God is in charge of the
-
peoples of this earth, and God is in charge of
-
my own life. You won't stop praying. You not have
-
any motive whatsoever to stop praying. Halleluyer Amen. And then
-
you're also going to going to understand for those of
-
us who if you like, as I said, I don't
-
know your proportion, you know, fifty percent answert prayer fifty percent,
-
or for the brother who says zero percent you know,
-
answers prayer and waiting and then no answers and the
-
large chank of it what we need to also understand
-
that will also help us in delayed prayers that God
-
works or God has an agenda as part of his
-
if you like, global or universal governance of his universe.
-
He has timelines attached to it a man very very important.
-
And that's and it is that purpose, Amen. Ultimately, it
-
says purpose, that is what's unfolding in your life. If
-
there is anything that is on ansert prayer, maybe maybe
-
on God's timetable. The timeline has not come. That is
-
why the prayer has not been answert in some ways
-
somehow you would understand if you ask me, does God
-
all our midweek services? Is it the will of God
-
that this place will be filled with the people of
-
God so that we will all participate in our midweek
-
services and learn from the word of God. I would
-
say yes, anytime that we come to for the midweek services,
-
that this place get filled up. I was saying, no, amen,
-
should we stop praying? Therefore, no, Amen. We will continue
-
to pray that anytime that we gather for the midweek services,
-
people will come so that we can be taught the
-
Word of God and learn and grow and mature. Hallelujah.
-
Doesn't nullify the fact that God is a prayer answering
-
go no, amen, Why because we know in this word
-
what do we expect? Many are called, few are chosen. Hallelujah.
-
Amen.
-
Very very important that so we will learn that it
-
is His purpose that is unfolding in the entire universe,
-
including that of all creation, including you yourself. Hallelujah. In
-
asks chapter seventeen, in verse twenty five to twenty eight,
-
look at that and Paul tells the Athenians about the
-
same purpose of God. Listen. He says that in Vestuativer
-
talking about God, the unknown God, as he was making
-
his discourses to the Athenians, they are real pagus. He says,
-
what NOI is? He worshiped with men's hands, as though
-
he needed anything. We are coming from a month of worship.
-
Now listen to a God to say. He says, he's
-
no worship with men's hands as though he needed anything. Hallelujah.
-
If nobody will come and come and play this aak
-
or instruments on the drums, you have a talent, you
-
have a gift. You say you don't come when it's Sunday.
-
If you don't come and pay me, I won't come
-
like happens in many of our churches and all those things.
-
And then if.
-
I'll come to your church, I'll come for two hours
-
time God for our instrumental it's less celebrate than Halenelujah.
-
God doesn't need instruments, hallelujah. If you won't play God,
-
no God, God will just be laughing at you.
-
Let me use the word that there is some.
-
Same copapa by Dad is playing for him in heavens,
-
and you your own that women with they find the
-
key when I bring my co coachi vose, you won't
-
be able to get the key for me.
-
And the way you finish and said we should pay
-
you isn't No?
-
Is he worshiped with men's as though he needed anything.
-
Since listen to that he gives to all life, breath,
-
and all things, and that he has made from one
-
blood every nation of men to dwell on all the
-
surface of the earth, and he has determined their pray,
-
appointed times and the boundaries of the earth. See just
-
just just follow, follow the narrative that police said. He's
-
trying to tell us that, look, God is the governor
-
of the universe, including your own life. Hallelujah. And now
-
what is it? Now?
-
It gives us the reason verse twenty seven. He said
-
that he does.
-
He says so that they should seek the Lord, and
-
underline it so that they will seek the Lord in
-
the hope that they might grop for him and find him.
-
Though he is not far from each one of us,
-
for in him will live and move and have our being,
-
as also some of your own poets have said, for
-
we are also his off spring. Verse twenty seven says
-
that we are here on this ef to seek him
-
and to find him. Amen. God sends us into the kingdom,
-
translates us out of Satan's domain of darkness into the
-
kingdom of his beloved son, so that we will seek
-
him and find him, and then acknowledge with a certain
-
measure of humility that we own our being and existent
-
to him. That is what he means by in him
-
will live and move another our bee.
-
That is why we pray.
-
We are harmal enough to pray and ano that God,
-
you are the giver of life. You created us, and
-
you determine the tide and the season that we should
-
be here on this planet Earth. So, as a believer,
-
as a child of God who reads the sword, you
-
have read the scripture, or you haven't taught, you come
-
to a session like this and we are teaching. It
-
means that when you go back home, you take your child,
-
you flip through the Bible on your own and allow
-
the Holy Spirit to teach you so that the truth
-
and the lessons will be esched on your mind. That's
-
why we take notes when we are when we are
-
children of God, when we come to church. Up to now,
-
it doesn't matter. We is teaching have big time right
-
from when I got But you understand that when you
-
go to school and your lecturer is teaching you, you
-
take notes. I'm not talking about mean lecturing. By the
-
Holy Spirit. Hallelujah Amen. So you INVERI amblifying yourself that
-
you are taking and when you go you weren't revised.
-
So now you can grow. We are not growing in church.
-
We are still baby. Christians were a serlling mature and
-
that is why we are. Our prayers are not working
-
and that's why a lot of us have fit praying.
-
There's no way you be a mature believer. And you
-
stop praying. You can't stop why in Him will live
-
and move and have our be You get rich, you
-
stop praying. You know you weren't. That's why something you
-
know said you were never saved. You were never saying
-
you were never born again. Because you are rich, you
-
stop churched, you stop worshiping God, you stop serving.
-
No, you were not born again. You dare not.
-
You are afraid because in your search and in your
-
walk with God, this truth, this truth would have been
-
etched on your heart and on your mind. Now you
-
are not here on now, Oh it took God to
-
invent us. It took God to create us. It took
-
God to give us the breath of life in him,
-
will live and move and have our being. How damn
-
you stop worshiping it and calling on it. None of
-
us here is guaranteed the next five minutes in life, hallelujah. None.
-
The other day it was on the news they said
-
that church, a building collaps, that the people were in
-
church and it was rainy. Can you understand? Can you
-
explain it?
-
I can't.
-
I mean trying to find wrap your mind. So and
-
when they heard the building coming, why didn't they dash
-
out and escape? And rather, God trapped in him will
-
leave and move and have some died some So so
-
vibe anything now twenty six let me read it over again,
-
know you? They said that, and he has made from
-
one blood, from Adam. That's what it means, from Adam,
-
every nation of men, the God that we are praying to,
-
the God that you and I are worshiping, and a
-
coming to covenant with relationship with him, the Father of
-
our Lord.
-
And savior, Jesus Christ.
-
He says he made from one blood every nation of
-
men to dwell on all the surface of the earth
-
and was and he has God. The ten means they
-
are pray appointed types. The ten means they are pray
-
appointed type. So if you and I are in year
-
twenty twenty sixth and it is because of both prein determination,
-
he decided that you and I will be in church
-
this day, will be alive in a time like this.
-
That's what it means. And then he said, oh there
-
are times and the boundaries of the add God is
-
God that decided that you you you will be a
-
black man, you be a Ghanian. Amen.
-
And then he said, twenty seven gifts us.
-
The reason he said so that they should seek the Lord,
-
So that they should seek the Lord. Are we seeking him?
-
How do we seek the Lord in the world and
-
in the conversations?
-
Are we finding him?
-
Because he said that you're not just seek him in futility,
-
so that they will find him. I found him, I
-
know my redhim and Leader.
-
I found him. I search for him and I found him.
-
So when I stand in the place of prayer, I'm
-
not just reciting prayer. I am speaking to a living
-
being lives in my heart. That's the seal of the
-
Holy Story brings reality of heaven to us. It tells
-
us that God is. They that come to him must
-
believe number one, that God exists, and that is a
-
rewarder of them that diligently seeking. I found him. Where
-
is the evidence in my heart? He lives in my heart?
-
So when I'm talking, when I'm pray, it's not an
-
exercise in futility.
-
I am speaking to a.
-
Living being, the God of heaven and earth. That's that's
-
that's why the prayer we see Sometimes when we come
-
to the prayer, we are all title, but you need
-
that that moment. Sometimes it will be just five minutes, two,
-
three minutes, don't win on a link, when the connection
-
will be established and you know now you have been
-
talking to God and just that five minutes alone, the
-
beddings will be rolled away. He just need one encounters
-
and encounters we talk about in prayer, the beldings will
-
be rolled away. You may come in down hated and
-
then weeping, but something happens in that moment, that momentary
-
moment of connection, and you know that. Ah, I'm glad
-
I came for the prayer service. I'm glad I came
-
for the church service. I'm glad I came for the
-
meeting because God was there. I'm glad this morning I
-
went to God in prayer. As soon as I woke up,
-
my man say, I take a bye from my bed.
-
All that I found out that I went on my
-
knees beside my bed and God, all that I could say, Oh, Father,
-
have mercy on me. The Bible says that sometimes we
-
don't know in the place of prayer. We don't know
-
what to say and what to say. All that we
-
can do is to sigh and grow and say, Papa.
-
Sometimes you can just kneel before beside your bed.
-
Not a single way I've done all everything is down. Ah,
-
You're just morning and groaning and sighing, and you are
-
there just five ten fifty minutes. The thing is just
-
glueing your knees to the to the front, and you
-
are just there.
-
Maybe like Anna of Old.
-
The Bible says that on that day we know the
-
Bible said it was her lifts that was moving, and
-
she was there, But she little one tells us exactly
-
was the discouse that she said she was there. She said,
-
I pulled out my soul to God. That's one of
-
my favorite definitions of prayer, pouring out your soul to God.
-
So Annah said, I poured out my soul to God
-
that auspicious day. And Elie Papa Eli thought that I
-
was drunk. And he said, no, no, no, I'm not drunk.
-
It's any morning. I'm not taking any wine.
-
Bye from the beddings of my heart.
-
And I pulled out my soul to God. And the
-
priest of God was smoothed and goes the prayer. God said,
-
can you speak a word of encouragement to her? I
-
have hurt her. I will answer her. And when she
-
said it, the Bible says that her countenance was no
-
longer sad.
-
Something shifted.
-
She knew that God has hit me. It was worth
-
coming to Shiloh that day. It was worth living. The
-
food the Bible's alter they were eating. They we're eating
-
o our party. Something moved on said I'm going once
-
again one more time. Who knows tonight or this morning
-
he will hear me. And the Bible says she came
-
wheeping out of egony and pain. And the Bible says
-
she stood before the presence of God, started plaining and negotiating.
-
Even only you give me a man child. He's going
-
to be your son, and I'm going to bring it
-
ensure that he's a nurse right all the days of
-
his life prayer, I was seeking him, and I think
-
I mentioned this. Then he said, ironically, let me, when
-
you seek for God in prayer and in searching the
-
scriptures and you find him, instead of captaining your church,
-
it rather taps you into a never ending cycle of
-
searching for him. Let me take it again.
-
I've posed the question we seeking him?
-
That's twenty seven says that to seek him and to
-
find him hallelujah. And then were acknowledge with the measure
-
of humility, that we owe our being and existence to him.
-
That's what it means. But in him we live and
-
move and have our being. When ironic, and when we
-
seek for God in prayer and searching for him in
-
the scriptures and you find him, instead of telling your search,
-
it rather takes you into a never ending cycle of
-
searching for him. Whenever you find him, then you recognize
-
that you know very little, and you find a certain
-
desire to know him. More so that al who say
-
that these days I don't have I don't find time
-
to pray, Hey, are you really serious? You have to
-
admit that you are back sleading one. That's where the
-
humility comes in. You should admit it. Less prayer or
-
no prayer, it's because of the connection, instead of humbling
-
ourselves and say, Papa, I missed you, I lost you.
-
I don't know where God. And then someoneted tonight says,
-
search me, o God, no, my heart, try me, you know,
-
my aunt, just to see if that be in a
-
wicked way in me and leave me in perhaps ever lasted.
-
Get me back on track, Get me back on track,
-
get me back on the church. And a lot of
-
us need to come back on track. We lost God,
-
or God lost that somewhere along the line. We are
-
not too sure. We walked away, we drifted away. We
-
allowed the cares of this life to check the life
-
of God down of us, and we stop praying. We
-
drifted off the prayer. Autists you find him, You found him,
-
and he brought you into great well. He brought you
-
into great BOSSI. He blessed your life. No, you can't live,
-
you can't live. You won't live. Now, listen to Paul
-
last week. Maybe you will. And then philippianstraight and what
-
did he say that I may know him and the
-
power of his resurrection. After all the night and after
-
finding him he was the one preaching in Athens. He said,
-
in him, we'll live and move and habad b he
-
said that we will set for him and find him
-
and cleave to him. Now after he has done that
-
and all the knowledge and all that. And that's not
-
the point I'm making now. Look, it won't let you
-
drift away. There's rather an appetite. And for racial's appetite
-
is arousing you. When you find God, he said, Wow,
-
then I can see more of him. I want more
-
of your power, I want more of your grace. I
-
want more to see more of you more since after
-
all that you saw in Egypt and then in the
-
wilderness journey and experience. He comes to God and says, God,
-
you have sent me and I soon don't know you
-
that I'm annoying, that I'm annoying that I want to
-
see thy glory. I want to see thy glory and God.
-
That's when God told me that you can't see my face.
-
All the day you see my face, you die, and
-
God will blind him say I'm going to no more.
-
I like your aggressiveness. I'm going to do something for you.
-
I'm going to put you in, hide you in this
-
rock and this cleft of a rock, and I'm going
-
to pass by. When I pass back, I will allow
-
you to see my hind passed, because my face when
-
you see you die, and God did it, the people
-
who encountered God. When you encounter God, there's more. There's
-
there's an appetite. It's rather ironically stared up in you.
-
So you quit the praying in I can't understand it.
-
You quit praying, and you're telling me that you don't
-
have more.
-
You don't have time to pray because these.
-
Days you are busy. Per says that I may know
-
him and the power of his rerection and the fellowship
-
of his sufferings being confirmed to his death. That's mogue.
-
That's the party.
-
More knowledge taps you into more and more search.
-
More answered prayer will tip you more and more for prayer,
-
desires and searching for him. That's how it works. More prayers,
-
more answers to prayer. Why cad can you imagine it?
-
We start that with I pip one. Now why have
-
we got to why amen? That one experience we confind
-
him we can't find him. God as glacious God is
-
The prayers in God, we want more of you. Every
-
time when I live in one of them, people come
-
saying that when are we going to do it again?
-
When are we going to because.
-
It's an experience that unforgettable, Because why we encounter God?
-
Do we see raining off?
-
You know? But there's something, there's something now you live away,
-
you live the present mind. I found him, I found him.
-
I want to cleave to him. I want to continue
-
my search for him. I want to know more and
-
more of him and this man we are trying. We
-
are trusting God that as we go along, God will
-
show himself. He said, I will be found when you
-
search for me with all your heart, and that He
-
is going to bring all that into our prayer lives,
-
those of us who have who still don't know Him,
-
who have been on repentant. It's a prayer that as
-
we go through these discourses we will get sincere leborn again.
-
Those of us who are backslading, and I've left our
-
prayer utest in a state of disrepair, we will rise up.
-
We'll repair them so that together we can bring order
-
in our prayer lives. Rise up on your feet.
