  4. Reverend Doctor Joseph Baubin, head Pastor of Harvest Chapel International Commercy.

  5. He's a seasoned man of God and the teacher of

  6. the Word. In this truth and simplicity, make time with

  7. us each and every Monday to Friday at two pm

  8. on Spirit eighty eight twenty three FM us being encounter

  9. the Word of Truth.

  10. God richly loves you.

  11. Welcome to the logo streamer are with God savant Reverend

  12. Doctor Joseph Being, head Pastor of Harvest Chapel International Commercy.

  13. And now to today's message.

  14. Halt here, Amen, let's take a conversion from Joshua one.

  15. Let's aid, let's shallow depart out of my mind, and

  16. I shall meditate in it to day and night, and

  17. I may observe to do according to all that is

  18. written in it. But then I will make my way prospers,

  19. and then I will have good success. Amen, God bless you.

  20. Why don't you take your seats and pressings. We will

  21. continue with our discourses on how best we can bring

  22. order to our prayer life. Charlie Louis, Amen, And we said,

  23. our uncle scripture is taken from Luke chapter eleven. One

  24. look eleven. And he said, now it came to pass

  25. as he was praying in a certain place when he ceased,

  26. and one of his disciples said to him, Lord teachers

  27. to pray as John also taught his disciples. Amen. And

  28. last week say, led by the spirit of the Lord,

  29. we made certain points, particularly to the fact that once

  30. again you know you can. It's so palpable, so you

  31. feel it. You know that a lot of us are not.

  32. You come across many a belief so dejected without enthusiasm.

  33. There's no spring in our Christian steps when it comes

  34. to the discipline has to do with our spiritual life

  35. that helps from growth and maturity one way or the other.

  36. The average believer just goes lukewarm, just grows cold, retreats,

  37. back tracks, and then you can see it and the effects.

  38. We lack energy. Unfortunately. The thing about prayer, I think

  39. last week we made that point is that the interesting

  40. thing is that when you are praying and praying effective

  41. and you are getting results, instead of your prayer life

  42. tapering off, it rather energizes you, and you get into

  43. a cycle and a rhythm of more prayer, enthusiastic prayer,

  44. and then the answers are coming, and so sooner than

  45. later you realize that you simply cannot do. And I

  46. believe that the opposite let's prayer, You're going to enter

  47. into a visual cycle of being denied prayer resources, prayer

  48. efforts will come to nothing, Helle Luier. In the Christian life,

  49. if there are no tangible proofs and results, you retreat.

  50. You require Helen Luier. So on the scale of the balance,

  51. which one are we going to do? We just have

  52. to tip ourselves and do everything that we can so

  53. we can engage God in prayer. The unfortunate truth is

  54. that prayer is not a standard alone activity in the

  55. Kingdom of God. It works best in synergy with the

  56. other disciplines. So if you are not praying, if you

  57. are praying of a necessity, you must steady your word

  58. of a necessity. You must find yourself in church and

  59. in Christian fellowship, worshiping with other believers of a necessity.

  60. You must practice love and hospitality. Key pillars that we

  61. see the Church of God at the inaugration of the Church.

  62. In the Book of Art, you find out they were

  63. engaged in these activities, and that's how come the Bible

  64. says the Church of God grew and signs, proofs, wonders.

  65. Where we're just you know, happening to the church and

  66. people just just troop to church. The Lord had the

  67. daily because of the science and the wonders. The science

  68. and the wonders, it wasn't happening outside the perimeters of

  69. the church. It was happening in the congregation among the

  70. people of God. There were beneficiaries of the proofs and

  71. the miracles. And when these things are happening, you find

  72. yourself that you are energizing. You can't shut up, you

  73. can't bottle it down. You just keep on evangelizing and

  74. telling people with enthusiasm that come come to the Lord

  75. if you have a need, and God is going to

  76. come through for you. Halen Loujah, Amen. So our prayerlessness

  77. is not helping us individuals. My spray, family is my spray,

  78. the church my spray. We must erect once again our

  79. prayer altars so that the fires can come. Without the altars,

  80. the fires of the Lord cannot come on it. Hallelujah, Amen. Amen.

  81. At best, we just decide that we will recite our prayers.

  82. Prayer recitation is no prayer. Hallelujah. Amen. Amen. If you

  83. go through the motions of prayer but lack those key

  84. and vital ingredients that makes prayer effective, and that is

  85. ability to connect with God sometimes in maybe just a moment,

  86. sometimes a few minutes by mind God. When you connect,

  87. you see the glory of God. Connecting with God brings

  88. you into the presence of God. Is like the Bible

  89. says when on the day that Jesus was batted and

  90. because he was, the Bible saying, Jesus was pray and

  91. he connected with God, and the Bible says that there

  92. was an open heavens of there and God just just

  93. could not do anything but to you know, to to

  94. bellow and then to shout that this is my beloved

  95. son in whom I am well pleased. Halle lou jah Amen.

  96. Just imagine you and I as we are praying. Yeah,

  97. one day, maybe I P, I P or even any time.

  98. We just congregate to pray and then we pray. After

  99. a prayer sssion, every prayer accession, then a voice from nowhere,

  100. have a chapel have a chapel. You are my beloved

  101. at church. If my well please hallnlujah, won't it be

  102. exciting it energize as hallelujah? Amen. But when you are

  103. praying and no show, you say, God, no show every day, God,

  104. no show nothing. There's a tendency to you know, just

  105. stop praying hallelujah and once again anything that is not

  106. going well in your prayer like God has not. Amen.

  107. We are always the ones that are at fought, and

  108. we just need to add hallelujah, repent, go to God

  109. and consess. My God. I can't pray that I can't

  110. pray even when I come, I can't connect. You seem

  111. so far way, you seem soAnd wow, God, WHOA What

  112. can I do so that my prayers also can be paid?

  113. So I can stop reciting my prayers and be able

  114. to connect with you, so that I can see you

  115. face to face, So that when I come and I

  116. bow down in worship, I know that I'm bowled before

  117. the King of Kings and the Lord of laws. I'm

  118. not just doing it for doing sake, but with a

  119. real being and a real personality. And when you rise

  120. up from that prayer to all time, you will know

  121. that you have been paid. And apostle don't says that

  122. a prayer head, when God grants you an audience, prayer

  123. ahead is like prayer answered. Sometimes God says, son, not now,

  124. Just like Jesus Christ. The Bible says that didn't get seven.

  125. He prayed and I was just reading he said. He

  126. prayed with tears, reconizing and the sweat on his face

  127. that the disciples give us. The account says that it

  128. was like blood. But yes, so God said no, and

  129. in the course of the prayer. The amazing thing is

  130. that the Bible says that angels God rather send angels

  131. to strengthen him. And when he rolls up, he told

  132. them that, look, guys, get up. I asked you to

  133. wait with me, watch and praying, but you've been sleeping.

  134. Now the betrayer and then the act my captains the

  135. are in and he had the strength to be able

  136. to match to the cross and die for us. Prayer Hallelujah,

  137. Amen Amen. So it's more better than that God. The

  138. effective prayer does not necessarily mean that God will say yes,

  139. but the connection the strengthen by angelic or supernatural beings

  140. that sign you have to go through. This is my

  141. will for your life. So be I believe, and you

  142. are going to trying times and difficulties. And your face,

  143. you have a stoic face. You are determined to go through.

  144. You are not badging. You are hey. People see you

  145. and you are strong. But you you know that you

  146. have wept before the Lord and he has strengthen you

  147. and you have grace to be able to go through. Halleluiah, Amen.

  148. And when the heavens gets open, as I said that,

  149. we thank you my God, sakend day by when you're

  150. able to connect, that moment when you are able to connect,

  151. like you are able to pull out your heart before

  152. the king, halened Luiah in man, because you will be granted.

  153. You know that you have granted, you've been granted access.

  154. Don't want to miss them, hallelia. That's why sometimes the

  155. moments that you are praying, when you get connected, that's

  156. when you realize that you don't want to leave the

  157. prayer chamber because hey are granted. Gone is here. You

  158. know you can't rise, And then that is when it

  159. tap us off into hours and hours of praying. Why

  160. do you want to go when there's so much betting?

  161. On you and tonight or in the morning or whatever

  162. hour you got him, you don't want to go Helen Loujas.

  163. So before you realize he sometimes I pip, we are, Yeah,

  164. we'll be marching up and down yere, all of us.

  165. And then before we realize, it's six peep just on

  166. our faith, praying on our knees, some lying down six

  167. hours continually praying. Where do we get the energy from?

  168. Because you sense the poperable presence of God and you

  169. know that maybe like Batty Miles of Oh my race shaken,

  170. even when the heavens are saying shut up, he said,

  171. I'm not going to shut up, turn mercy on me.

  172. You know that there is your chance to catch his attention.

  173. You decide I'm going to let him go. Amen, halln lujah.

  174. So to enable this efficiency in the discipline of prayer,

  175. you must have the connection with God. And I say,

  176. momentarily what access decades and immediately you enter into His presence,

  177. you stay there. You don't feel like living, and you

  178. just be praying and praying halen amen. But then that

  179. connection with God, as we know, is that there must

  180. be a current and a father andry hallelu amen. Sometimes

  181. we get disconnected with we allow all the world is

  182. the cares, the anxieties, or to check out our devotion.

  183. Like I was saying, you know, you know, child of God.

  184. He said, you are busy. That's why you can pray.

  185. That's why your ol test like dilapidated your prayer all tests.

  186. You are busy, reenrected your prayer all tests A child

  187. of God, no Hallnelujah. I was musing over this, and

  188. then I just said, I was asking myself. Sometimes you're

  189. asking maybe it's the Lord. They said, who has been

  190. more busy than Jesus Christ? You and I? You and

  191. I look at your your busiest share. Do you think

  192. that you were more busy than Jesus Christ? Hallelujah? Amen.

  193. He was so busy at three and a half years

  194. to make impacts. And yes. So the Bible says that Ellie,

  195. like Mark tells, says about this prayer. He said Mark

  196. one said, Ellie, long before day he rose up. Sometimes

  197. all the cru says, and you'll tell the guys that

  198. you guys, take the leader, I'm coming. And the Bible says,

  199. you seek a secluded place in the mountain there there

  200. was a busy man. He will come down, the crowd

  201. will engage in the Bible says something. Sometimes they put

  202. him in rest on eat look at his shedu'side canary

  203. so clocked up, even when he says that can win.

  204. When he sits in the boat, then they'll also hire

  205. boats and then they will chase him. And yes, sir,

  206. he found time to pray. The necessity of prayer. And

  207. then you say you're a child of God. You say

  208. you are too busy. You will get busy. You find

  209. yourself in that sting when you are doing your own show.

  210. But when you are doing, you are running. You are

  211. you are, you are in seventh mode. And you know

  212. that every morning he must take your marching orders from

  213. your master. You will pray, and you stop giving the excuse.

  214. My my point is, let's stop giving the excuse. Let

  215. us admit that there's something deeper than we've been. The

  216. connection when the disconnection comes, and then this connection is

  217. most often through saying, oh, what we call disobedience to

  218. the word of God, either the logo or the riama

  219. of You want to grow, you want to mature. You

  220. need to know the voice of the dreamer, or when

  221. God speaks, you know hallelujah. Sometimes some of the instructing

  222. that you'll give you it has nothing to do with

  223. you know. Let you and I use the word playing

  224. this regard to a certain principle of the Word of

  225. God that is written. And so that that's why some

  226. time we have I'm not doing anything. I've not broken

  227. any law, but the rumor of God sucked the word

  228. for the moment. Get up and go to check does it?

  229. Oh God, If I don't go to church today, I

  230. don't see there are that day. There are many days

  231. in the week, seven days. So if I don't go

  232. for me, but you you that God is true as

  233. the next pastor in charge of the branch that we

  234. are going to set up. Hallelujah. Amen. That needs to

  235. know how to engage God in prayer and God, like

  236. Davy says, he trains my hands for war, and he

  237. listening to battle and to triumph. More and more, God

  238. wants you to train you so for you you are

  239. hearing the whisperings. That's the rumor of God. Right up

  240. and go to church, Oh God, Sunday. I was there

  241. Tuesday too. I went to today. You know, you know,

  242. I've had a very busy telling God that you've been

  243. a very day. The bob was says he nine that

  244. sleeps nor slam, that's twenty four hours a day. He

  245. came to watch over you, and he's not tired, Halene LOUI,

  246. and you as seven, your master is not tired. You

  247. are going to sleep and leave your master to stay

  248. on the watch. Halle louji here amen, he says. So

  249. when you rationalize some of these things, and in truly

  250. you get up to obey the express commandment of the energy,

  251. then the accompaniment, then the grace from them, and then

  252. the ability helen you and human with power. But if

  253. you are not doing it, and like we have said before,

  254. you realize you'll be tapering off. Halene Lou, Amen. There

  255. are lots of broken down altars. We are praying that

  256. individual family autists, corporate artists will be erected throughout this

  257. man as we bring order to our prayer lives. You

  258. believe it. You want to say a big a man,

  259. halenlu Yeah. Sometimes. And then the next point is that

  260. it's very easy to gravitate towards act and then content

  261. ourselves that we are making ourselves use activities, need empowerment.

  262. Plas very very very key. Jesus told the disciples that

  263. helen and they need they need. They had worked with him,

  264. so when he gave them the instruction, they knew the

  265. life of Jesus and we have the benefit of their

  266. share als. So you follow the gospel narrative life of Jesus.

  267. You have a very very very busy schedule. But yes,

  268. prayer and fellowship or worship, what's at the top of priority.

  269. Imagine he's doing it in the morning, and he's doing it,

  270. and I believe he's doing anything throughout the day. As

  271. the opportunities came, connect with God. Haled Lou a man,

  272. and he told them when it's no activity power, what

  273. that's the secret to effective prayer? Wit And after you've

  274. been in jep you can now go ahead city, hallelu amen.

  275. You wait on God in prayer. And as I said,

  276. the other discipline sometimes some of us would do. You're

  277. going hiding a settin mountain five three weeks, four weeks something,

  278. and then you come, hallelujah amen. And then you come

  279. with some bizarre dreams and bizarress that has nothing to

  280. do with the wed of God, pure feticism. And then

  281. he said, I heard from God and then giving people

  282. wrong directions and that is what is all going on,

  283. and then say that just slips in. Halleluiah. Amen. No,

  284. it's not about activity, hallelujah. And that's what I was saying.

  285. I'm saying it again. You will never be fulfilled or

  286. happy just doing something. I think this is a very

  287. important point. You will never be fooled or happy just

  288. doing something in the house of God. You must be

  289. doing that particular thing or assignment that God has for you,

  290. fulfilled at the very end of every particular what does

  291. God say do? Now, that's why you halle louis Amen,

  292. very very very important. You will never be fulfilled. That's

  293. the way you'll be doing something to you. But you

  294. will never be fulfilled or happy just doing something in

  295. the House of God. You must be doing that particular

  296. thing or assignment that God has for you in order

  297. to be contempt great to being able to do the

  298. thing that God has called us to do. You find

  299. your some of you in the house of God. You

  300. are saving, but you're not happy. Maybe you are doing

  301. the wrong thing. Hallelujah. Amen. You will never be fulfilled

  302. because that's not what God wants. Haleelujah. And only once

  303. a point I wanted to join the Harvest goes the

  304. way they used to sing. I said, oh you do

  305. for me, and God said, boy, they're not going anywhere.

  306. You weren't for the harvest. Go to Sunday School. Hale Louiah,

  307. Halen Loujah. I'm sure if I've been bound to the

  308. Harvest Goes, I won't hide behind because they asked me

  309. to sing Harley Louis Sundays who I'm going to stand

  310. before people like the teacher say you know, this is

  311. exactly what And then finally I yield and today, yeah,

  312. I am. I didn't plan this. It is not my life,

  313. his life, It's not our lives. His life in us.

  314. So you do want a master wants you if you're

  315. going to be happy, nor of God and contented hallelujah.

  316. So before activity, you need empowerment, turn to someoney and

  317. say you need empowerment. And empowerment comes when you aligning yourself. Now,

  318. listen to this with the moment by moment, will of

  319. the moment, will for your life, and you make sure

  320. that you take your match in order daily from the

  321. commander in chief of the armies of the Living God.

  322. That's when you get truly empowered, Amen. And whenever you

  323. get truly empowered, you realize that your prayer life and

  324. your encounters move. Ah my God, it will move away

  325. from the mundane and routine to certain something satisfying. Sometimes

  326. the prayer you know when you are praying and it's God,

  327. you know it. Halenelujah. So that we can move to

  328. purposeful and satisfying prayers because you get energized. The thing

  329. is that when you are praying and you are in

  330. the right place, you immediately you start. I mean, let

  331. me use the example because I find myself now in

  332. the right place when I have to come and preach,

  333. and I decide that I'm going to wait on the

  334. Lord in prayer. It's one of the ways that I

  335. know that God wants me to pray. Amen. The energy

  336. will come to pray. You are engaging God, and the

  337. day that he knows that he doesn't want you to preach,

  338. you won't find the energies. Amen, hallelujah. So that that

  339. engagement alone will tell you that yes, this is the

  340. this movie or maybe in the you are the one

  341. that is going to say. All of a sudden, you

  342. find out that before you come and take your solo.

  343. You are energized and you find yourself prayer compared to

  344. the one that will just be back because for the

  345. needy energies and when you pray, and because God wants

  346. you to be a blessing and strengthen you. Hallelu Amen, hallelujah.

  347. So our entire calling to work with God or faith

  348. life as I'm saying it, hinges and thrives on prayer,

  349. lots of prayer or conversations is healthy for your soul.

  350. Turn to someone say a lot of prayer is healthy

  351. for your soul with designed prayers conversations with God. Halleluis. Yeah. Amen,

  352. is healthy for your soul. And we need it and

  353. God will help us to do it. Halleluyer Amen. Amen.

  354. And what you soon learn is that to pray by

  355. the spirit, halleluis Amen. And when the Holy Spirit is

  356. new how to pray. We are going to find out

  357. just like they a Lord, he says to teach them

  358. how to pray. It makes it makes for activeness in

  359. whatever you are called. Amen. And now we can move on.

  360. This was introduction a summary of the truths that we learn.

  361. Now let's move on to look at the versus. Let's

  362. break them down verse by best. Let's some of the

  363. lessons to back some of the observations that so vers one.

  364. He says, now it came to pass as he was

  365. praying in a certain place when he sees that one

  366. of his disciples said to him, Lord, teach us to

  367. pray as John also to make the key points that

  368. we will invest one key point number one, Jesus made

  369. time to and you and I we must make time.

  370. Say a big amen, hallelujah. Point number two. For personal prayer,

  371. he often as against congregational prayer. When we call for

  372. the prayer meeting, you have no choice but to be here,

  373. and we're all going to do it. If we decide

  374. that we will do it in the gardens, you have

  375. no choice. You have to do it, and therefore it

  376. is open Amen. But for personal prayer, Jesus often sought

  377. and advocated for privacy or solitude so we could be

  378. alone with God. Can I take that? For personal prayer,

  379. Jesus often sought and therefore by so doing, he's teaching

  380. us how to pray, advocated for privacy or solitude so

  381. we could be alone with and we could He wants

  382. us to be alone with God so that we can

  383. do our way with distractions. Amen, discres things abound in

  384. life and can dumping the focus and effectiveness of our

  385. prayer enterprise. We are bringing order. And with this point.

  386. The first point that we are learning from Verse one

  387. as scene in the life of g is that he

  388. often sought, advocated for privacy so he could be alone

  389. with God. Distractions if you ignore it every time you

  390. want to pray, you don't have any needs except cluing

  391. or whatever privacy know, find one. The Bible said, Jesus

  392. went out and he sought. That's what the Bible said.

  393. That day he was in the day they made this comment,

  394. he was sleeping, or like he spent the time with

  395. Peter and his mother in law and his wife. So

  396. he was in Peter's household with the disciples. Bible commentists

  397. will tell us that that place and then John and

  398. his brother James or their pearance used to spend a

  399. lot with them, hallelujah. But the Bible say, while they

  400. were sleeping, he left the place and looked for a

  401. solid so that he can alone with God. And he prayed, Amen,

  402. bringing all that you must have the place where you

  403. can be with a loan with God, Halene Lujah, because

  404. distractions abound in life and they can dump in the

  405. focus and effectiveness prayer, enterprise. And let's look at Matthew's

  406. six best vices. He teaches it, he practices it. Remember

  407. what look told and vulnerable to your fellows, Halene Lujah

  408. and John. In asks chapter one, he said, well, in

  409. the former Traitors, I've told you what Jesus was began

  410. to began to do. So that was his prayer, life

  411. or enterprise. Listen to him teaching it on the Salmon

  412. on the Man, he said, And when you pray, you

  413. shall not be like the hippo. But they love to

  414. pray standing in the synagox and on the corners of

  415. the street, that they may be seen by men. Assure redly,

  416. I say to you, they have their world the instruction

  417. in verse six. But you, when you pray, go into

  418. your room, and when you are shut your door, prayer

  419. to your father who is in the secret place, and

  420. your father who's reward you. Amen, Halene Loujah. So look

  421. for for effectiveness in prayer, bringing honor into a prayer,

  422. congregational prayer. You have nothing to do about it. When

  423. we come here and we say pray. None say, oh, passage,

  424. you know something and their da Dady was teaching and

  425. he says, I need privacy. So and then you live

  426. as I'm going to look for a place, we come

  427. looking for you going to one of the past's office.

  428. You have shut no halen Loujah. You have nothing to

  429. do but to stay here. But the one that sometimes

  430. when that's why sometimes when we are praying there in

  431. the in the gardens and I say come, let's come together,

  432. and I know some of you you want it. When

  433. we are praying, you want alone, you know, and then

  434. you tell us that you are able to pray better.

  435. Way you go on the grass and you go and

  436. then meander away. And then know that's congressional prayer. And

  437. when you alone, you set your time. Now why you

  438. can't do that. But when there's a congregational meeting and

  439. we are holding hands and we are in the in

  440. a circle praying, don't say that me. I don't like

  441. that the circle. I don't like holding hands with other people.

  442. So let me go. And then you know there's a

  443. big place. Let me go behind where the Logosa temple

  444. is praying. I'm sure that when I go there, I'll

  445. get alone place. No, let's get these truths very very

  446. very well. Congregational prayer. That one is different. But you alone.

  447. If we come here and then maybe we are doing something,

  448. or you come, you come eli and then the logos

  449. some of the rooms with your bible. Go and take

  450. a seat, take a chair, go and then cut off

  451. the district and pray and engage. You don't have any place.

  452. Days that we have service, come early Sunday morning, you

  453. can come early before the prayer time. The days that

  454. maybe it's a joint said, come early six o'clock. You

  455. are here, look out there, take a seat with the

  456. hour and God will always have as present the Holy

  457. Spirit world soon at that time that you have made

  458. for it. Don't be an exercise. That is that's how

  459. it comes. That's how it happens. When you come, God

  460. will help. Halenelujah amen. So this this is teaching about.

  461. He advocated for privacy, solitude so that we can cut

  462. off these tractions and be able to engage God in

  463. a much more effective way. Hallelujah.
