Sharon be loved. Thank you for tuning into today's morning
-
glory devotion. I am Amanda Baidu from Harvest Chapel International
-
Dayamicel Mercy. I'll be facilitating today's session. Please let's pray. Father.
-
We thank you so much for today. We thank you
-
for this great privilege to hear your word. We ask
-
that you prepare our hearts to receive this word and
-
grant us the ability to abide by it in Jesus' name,
-
Amen beloved. Let's take a confession from the Book of Josha,
-
chapter one, verse eight. This book of the Law shall
-
not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate
-
in it day and night, that I may observe to
-
do according to all that is written in it. For
-
then I will make my way prosperous, and then I
-
will have good success. Amen, love it. Our topic for
-
today is titled sin dependent, Sin Dependent, and our scripture
-
reading is taken from Genesis chapter three, vers. Forty six.
-
Then the serpent said to the woman, you will not
-
surely die, for God knows that in the day that
-
you eat of it, your eyes will be opened, and
-
you will be like God, knowing good and evil. So
-
When the woman saw that the tree was good for food,
-
that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree
-
desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit
-
and ate. She also gave to her husband with her,
-
and he ate. Amen, love it. Our second scripture is
-
taken from Jeremiah chapter seven, in verse twenty three to
-
twenty four. But this is what I commanded them, saying,
-
obey my voice, and I will be your God. And
-
you shall be my people, and work in all the
-
ways that I have commanded you, that it may be
-
well with you. Yet they did not obey or incline
-
their ear, but followed the counsels and the dictates of
-
their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward. Amen.
-
Sin dependence beloved. Seeking independence from God and his instructions
-
is the beginning of a pathway of sin and destruction,
-
like the ocean is to the fish. Man was created
-
to dwell in the presence of God. In the beginning,
-
God created man in his own image for the purpose
-
of serving him. God breathed into Man and he became
-
a living being. Therefore, our entire existence is in God.
-
Because of the deception of the devil, Eve was leo
-
into refusing to obey God and rather leaning into her
-
own understanding. She listened to the lie, looked at the fruits,
-
and thought about it, choosing her understanding over God's word. Brethren,
-
wor we seek to be independent from God. In our
-
thoughts are words, and our actions we become dependent on sin.
-
The last instructions are there for our good. He knows
-
what is good for us, and we must be humble
-
enough to stay under his authority, under his word, obeying
-
him even when we don't understand or when it is
-
too hard for us. Jesus demonstrated this in the wilderness belaved.
-
Unlike Eve, who was in a garden with access to
-
all the fruits she could have had, Jesus had been
-
fasting forty days and forty nights in the face of
-
a legitimate need of hunger. He still didn't bow to
-
the devil's deception, but he stood under the instruction of God.
-
Despite his need, he obeyed. Beloved, we must not lean
-
on ourselves for how to live this life. We will
-
fail and feel miserably into sin and distraction. God's word
-
is our lifeline, our guide, and our safety. Independence from prayer,
-
from the word, from fellowship and from the instructions of
-
the Holy Spirit are as sure path. Today, let us
-
keep the word in our hearts and ask for grace
-
to obey it even when it is hard or when
-
we don't understand. Because God's way is the way of life. Beloved,
-
don't be sin dependent. Obey the word Shalon our memory
-
verse is taken from someone one nine verse eleven. Your
-
word have I hidden in my heart that I might
-
not sin against you? Amen? Please let's pray Father, We
-
thank you so much for today, for this reminder that
-
when we choose to be independent from you, we are
-
working on a pathway of sin. We pray for their
-
grace to stand under your word, stand obeying your word
-
even when we don't understand it all when this is
-
difficult for us, Help us to always choose your word
-
over our thoughts, over our understanding, over our independence and
-
Jesus Amen love. Thank you so much for tuning into
-
today's morning glory devotion. Please stay tuned for more spirit
-
filled content and have a wonderful day. Shalom.
