-
Doctor Joseph bar Being, head Pastor of Harvest Chapel International Commercy.
-
And now to today's message.
-
Amen, let's take our gold fashion from Joshua one verse eight.
-
The spoke of the Law shall no depart out of
-
my mouth, but I shall meditate in it today at night,
-
that I may observe to do according to all that
-
is written in it. But then I will make my
-
way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen,
-
God richly bless you. Why don't you take your seats?
-
So let's see how best we can round up a
-
man of other in prayer.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Our text has been from Look chapter eleven, verse one.
-
Now it came to pass as he was praying in
-
a certain place when he seized that one of his
-
disciples said to him, Lord teachers, to pray as John
-
also taught his disciples.
-
Amen.
-
So fundamentally, God demands holiness before the conversation can even begin.
-
Be holy, for I am holy, hallelujah.
-
So not only holiness, humility, And once again I'm using
-
the worst Intentionally. God is God, but he has condescended
-
to stoop down and be friends with us. Let us
-
not see God as acle equal cra and reveal him.
-
Amen.
-
Because we say that helps you, because then you tremble
-
at God's way, the church will be a healthy place.
-
You have much more effectiveness in our prayer efforts. If
-
we all look, say God, for who it is.
-
That said that since I gave my life, I'm always
-
running to I'm always running, I'm always running to check.
-
I'm always running.
-
And it's all because there is something that you lose,
-
that the peace that you lose, the joint that you lose,
-
the fear of God that tells you that God has
-
spoking and therefore you must obey. I don't want to
-
go back into nightmares.
-
So when he speaks it, it's so to keep you.
-
If you do, stop you being on holy entertaining on
-
holy thoughts and all those things. You want to go
-
back to Egypt and going self and the pharaoh. Some
-
of us are not able to maintain our deliverers or
-
even get it, because no, you must fear God and.
-
Truck close to me and creep go and depend on him.
-
He is your life. Hallelujah. Amen.
-
So we are when we petition any instructions, how well
-
are we prepared to take those instructions and implement them
-
the Holy Spirit of God halenelujah. He's giving us a
-
guide and he's going to teach us. He's going to
-
help us. He's going to do all that. Haleelujah. Let's
-
quickly run through. We have looked at God as as
-
holy God as Yes, God is so God is king
-
as well. Very important when you approach a king, you
-
need to recognize and respect establish divine protocol. Byble say
-
God is in his holy tempo, and let all the
-
head be silent before him.
-
Hallelujah. We see it.
-
And if I perish I perish the way that Esther
-
said that. I said, no, he's king, he's my husband.
-
But he's the king, and there are laws, there are
-
protocols that govern having.
-
Access to him.
-
If you approach, it doesn't lift up acceptor of race.
-
You will be immediately killed more like we should. You
-
see those days, they saw the kings as representatives of
-
the gods, and so they revered them, ruling one twenty
-
seven provinces, not something small, giving directions or maybe hallelujah.
-
He's in communication with so we must give him that space,
-
that reverence. It's the same thing. Yes, God is our dad,
-
it's a king. It's holy, he's our master, is our creator.
-
Demands humility. It calls for holiness, but it also calls
-
for respect and reverence for divine protocols. And that's how
-
Comejesus is giving the protocols to observe. Hallelujah amen. In
-
Matthew twenty two, you realize that that's a story there
-
about the king throwing the banquet when the reviter gets it.
-
In Tenna, he said, go to the three, invite all
-
of them, and then they came in low and behore.
-
When the king came in is any When he was
-
going around low and goyo somebody naked.
-
He said, wow, naked. He said, how dare you disrespect
-
the king's banquet? And you come in and sit in
-
there naked? You denigrade the established protocol. The king has
-
invited you, he said. Everybody was in their wedding dress,
-
but this person alone said me, I don't doing any
-
wedding dress and came to Sydney.
-
The Bible said.
-
The king commanded that they should take him out and
-
bind him and throw him back.
-
More. Let don't disrespect the king.
-
Yes, he went out of his way and said everybody
-
should come in, but recognize that he's a king. There's
-
protocol that's in Matthew twenty two, eleven to forty. Don't
-
come in naked, don't come into the kingdom. Just do
-
your own thing. No halenlujah. So all of a sudden,
-
now what we are saying in this verse, the first
-
verse of chapter one, that eleven one, is that the
-
point is this, you are not going to get far
-
with your prayer enterprises if you know very little about
-
the receiver of the recipient of our petitions, the king
-
of the universe that we call God, our Father in heaven, Haleeluiah.
-
And for me, that is why we need to be
-
taught and to know just how to pray. So the
-
guy was right in asking that no teaches how to pray.
-
Jesus was not your spraying.
-
It was praying based on knowledge, information, wisdom and understanding
-
of who God is and the ways of God and
-
the Holy Spirit has been given to you and I
-
to help us hallely Luriah, to learn about God and
-
the kingdom that he presides over. Say a big a man,
-
that's two. So he said to them, when you pray,
-
say our Father in heaven, hallow.
-
And be your name, your Kingdom.
-
Come.
-
Your will be done on earth as it is in army.
-
So yeah, we looked at the Father would of God.
-
We learned about the Father, which is a key step
-
we are saying an effective prayer. Why because God has
-
brought us into a covenant relationship with God of the universe.
-
Hallelujah Amen.
-
Remember it is here that out of love, has gone
-
out of his way to bring us into this relationship.
-
And that's why we say it's all.
-
By grace and God is solely responsible for it, and
-
he has promised on oath that he will hanner all
-
his responsibilities and obligations as a dad. We went over
-
elade every responsible that day. Because they know you will
-
grow up. They know that you should grow up. They
-
will do everything in their power to help you grow up.
-
And I told her as we disciplined them, we pinched them.
-
We did everything for them so that they will learn
-
and grow up and take up responsibility.
-
Amen, we use the carrot and the kid. Amen. When
-
they close from school, we said, what's.
-
The dishes when you do this, which was all part
-
of the training, so that they will also grow up
-
and take up their response.
-
There is a war to be fought. There is an
-
ongoing cosmic war. That every child of God has a
-
certain role to pray. That's where prayer come see and
-
the studying of the way so we can connect with
-
what God is doing and as well in these times
-
and seasons, you can't just loiter around.
-
You must allow yourself to be taught and apply the
-
truth and be responsible. He said, if I am a
-
dad to you, where is my ana? And dad is
-
supposed to be honored by their children.
-
That's what end. They respected us when we give them this.
-
Afterire point in time. They do it by routine. They
-
do it routinely when they come home. They they just
-
do it. Now, you don't talk, they just do it.
-
Why they have mature they know that this is what
-
my dad, this is what my parents would expect.
-
That I will do. Then you are taking up responsibility.
-
Hallelujah Amen. And you can see this in Abraham's relationship
-
with God. In Genesis seventy one, Best for Wonderful, God
-
came told Abraham, you know in fifteen, that's when they
-
cut the covenant, and God spoke extensively about Abraham and
-
his life, what he was going to do after over
-
four hundred years, how he was going to send them
-
into slavery, and then after the slavery, when the moral treatment,
-
they will come up with great substance, and then they
-
will come onto the land that he was lying of
-
where the covenant was cut. God said, no, of a surety,
-
I'll give you this land. My word is power, my
-
word is authority. Whatever I say, I have the power,
-
I have the resources to do it. But this is it.
-
It's not going to happen in you all the time.
-
You're going to get an offs ring. And then he said,
-
I'm going to make you. I'm multiplying like the starts
-
of here. And now I had finished and said, oh,
-
now he goes home. And then Sarah says that, Abrahm,
-
you know something. Since God has kept me from can
-
you take Hagar and give me a child? And then
-
Abrahm said, I just heard from God. He say no,
-
I mean give me a chance. You take Hagar and
-
then Abraham will be That was eighty six thirteen years.
-
He wasn't hearing anything from God to Bible. Schollars w
-
turns them from fifteen sixteen. Chapter sixteen talks about Hagar
-
and then the child Ishmael.
-
Then we come to seventeen.
-
It was then then God comes shows up against Hey, God,
-
Abraham walked before me and be down.
-
Perfect when I see when I speak to you. Don't
-
want to listen to Sarah. Amen, Now now.
-
Listen to something that God said the invest four, which
-
is what I wanted to try our attention of the Father.
-
Now listen, you can do the King Jay's version.
-
I like that one. Let me read it, for he said,
-
ask for me.
-
Behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be
-
a father of many nations. As for me, you d
-
But as for me, mam, like saying that ask for me,
-
your dad, I'll do what it's expected. All that I'm
-
requiring of you is that do your side on it.
-
That's it Halenlujiah.
-
Amen.
-
So let's know this, and God was able to, So
-
let's go let's go back. So that's just a recap
-
of the Father of the God will do his bit.
-
God cannot lie, that's the problem, just like in a
-
true Dad. And like keep seeing Abraham Abraham say, and
-
then at the talen of this conversation in chapter seventeen
-
when God said, oh again, you know that what Abrahm said, Oh,
-
oh God, you have been tulicious enough. Let each man
-
leave before thee.
-
And God said, no, the covenant.
-
When we started, there was no hagar. So I need
-
to stand true to my way.
-
Sarah Shah, have a child at the day you all now,
-
He said.
-
A year by now, a year by now, a year
-
by now the covenant will speak.
-
That's God, Amen. He has the power, he has the resources,
-
he has the.
-
Integrity to do whatever he says in our lives.
-
So now let's go to look eleven. We're arounding up.
-
I think we've taken our time to go over this
-
because most of the others, if you like the imen
-
need for understanding of this. The Father would of God
-
his nature. He's unchangeableness, but he's a whole God. He
-
is true to his way. He's a covenant keeping God.
-
The rest will follow. So he said to them, when
-
you pray our Father. So now when you understand this
-
and you are benefiting, it is very easy to praise God.
-
So now the next one he says, was hallow ed
-
be your name, Halleluiah.
-
Amen.
-
Can we look at some fifty verst. Twenty three. Let's
-
look at some fifty verst. Twenty three very important, and
-
then we'll do some twenty two verst three. Some fifty
-
best twenty three says whoever.
-
All first praise glorifies.
-
Me the a amen or honest me? And to him
-
that undredth is conversational? Right, will I show the salvation
-
of some twenty two vers three twenty two verst three
-
It says that but thou art holy, o thou that
-
inhabits the praise of Israel.
-
Amen. We are talking about halloweeny. Now.
-
If God is playing his critical role as a father
-
and the covenant keeping God, to us. It should be
-
easy to give him praise, isn't it? And God deserves
-
and loves praise. Yeah, it's been a very rocky vocal.
-
He that office praise glorifies me. He said, in all things,
-
what gift and praise goes with thanksgiving in all because
-
this is the will of God concerning your lives. And
-
I ask myself, why all the well in the rebellion
-
the after praising God?
-
Amen?
-
Mean why because a lot of us we have taken
-
God for granted. Post a praise for God on your
-
feet and see how many people who like it.
-
You tomorrow, we can't do it. Won't post a praise
-
on God.
-
I just want to praise God for his goodness and
-
his kindness and messes.
-
And see how many posts you get. Then the next day,
-
go back, take a picture of your new shoe.
-
Praise my shoe. You will see the likes that they
-
will come and like. And I don't want to use
-
the word crazy. Push your new your new wedding outfit there.
-
This is going to do.
-
The dude, and look at the praise that you will.
-
Gannner compare to when you put the praise that God
-
who gave you the look, so when you and I
-
who know and have understanding of well, they're not praise.
-
No, you go to the social media.
-
You see that people who have a lot of followership
-
and millions.
-
It's crazy. I said, what do they do?
-
And sometimes they'll yes, take a picture of what you're
-
having for dinner, and you weren't like the dinner plate.
-
Your praise for God. I won't at least sit one
-
like you know what I'm saying. So where is this
-
guy coming from? Praising God?
-
Even if you when you finish, will go there, your car,
-
your degree, your shoe, your word, your hair cuts.
-
God is taking for granted. We don't want him in
-
our lives.
-
So if we his children, the primary beneficiaries of His
-
love and generosity in our lives, not just for this life,
-
but the life here after. If we will not acknowledge
-
him and offer him praise, who praise him?
-
God? Starting off? Praise?
-
Amen, and Jesus said, pray, keep him praise, keep him praise.
-
He started it all. This is his pet project. He
-
demands praise. He deserves praise, so one any of it.
-
And he doesn't want the praise of the rest of
-
the world. The best praise he can get from the
-
rest of the world is to acknowledge him as their
-
Lord and savior. But for you and I, who have
-
been said redeemed, he wants us to show gratitude and
-
to be thankful to Him. Thank you to someone else.
-
Let's give God more praise.
-
God wants us to be generous and profuse with his praise. Halenluiah.
-
And we can look at Paul and.
-
Silas at sixteen twenty five, and then King joshah Fat
-
and second chronicle is chapter twenty Hallelujah. The best insurance
-
way to cultivate the heart of praise is to sex
-
the scriptures, read and get acquainted with his deeds. You
-
will see and applaud his justice and fairness as he
-
works in the lives of his people. And this will
-
provoke you into prayer and praise. And you will definitely
-
be rewarded for your expressions of faith through praise to God. Amen,
-
Thank to somebody, and say he alone deserves our praise.
-
Amen. And let's do three. And for me.
-
As I said, once we get the innitia foundational truth,
-
we are good to go.
-
So give us day by day our day. So God
-
wants us.
-
To approach him on a day by day basis for
-
our provisions. Remember down there, he said, ask, He said,
-
the need to be giving to you. Seek you will find,
-
knock it shall be open to you. And so yeah,
-
Jesus gives us or brings us into an understanding of
-
how God runs or governents his household.
-
Day by day. Thank you to someone and say day
-
by day.
-
God didn't say give us this month. No, give Jesus
-
a prayer, give us this day.
-
So he said.
-
God does these things to grow our faith, and it
-
helps you to be in expectant mood.
-
Say amen.
-
Else, the faith life is not going to grow, it's
-
not going to mature. So sometimes God will intentionally delay
-
things and see whether will still.
-
Be and stay on our knees.
-
It's not just for you, for the people that I
-
can for the next generation. This is his project, as
-
I say, until he brings it to an end, we
-
never know. But the next generation of believers, they must
-
be encouraged. They need living faith to connect with the
-
people who are living. We should be able to have
-
testimonis else or be another generation laws. If we don't
-
see God working in your life or anybody's life, why
-
should the next generation come and follow us to God,
-
because we are the ones who will be able to
-
lead and guide them to God. So sometimes God, and
-
remember there is a position. Always remember there is a position.
-
So we need to develop our faith.
-
So sometimes God delays some of the promises. But if
-
he says, I look at Abraham's fool, he said I
-
would do it.
-
At the very last.
-
Minute, he did it, and all that why he never
-
gave him any timeline until the last in seventeen that
-
is when he gave him a time and he said
-
a year by now. From seventy five that we met him,
-
he just said, I'll do it, I'll do it, I'll
-
do it.
-
It. Never gave him a.
-
Timeline until ninety nine years and he said a year
-
by now and a year by now. Bothy, Abraham and
-
Sarah said, God, forget it. And they started laughing and giggly,
-
now that we are old, and God said, mine knows
-
your faith.
-
I'll do it, amen.
-
Because the Bible says that they are so they were
-
so aged, and I have been the biological cloths. I
-
just simply shut down. And God comes in now and
-
says that can you believe?
-
Amen? And then in the next couple of months.
-
Then Sarah woke up one day, this one I'm borrowing
-
the medical Then she said, hey, my man says, I
-
started flowing again.
-
Hey, what is happening?
-
And then in a month two months time, he says,
-
my man says, has seized. I feel like Then she
-
started describing the symptence of pregnancy, and Abraham said, that's it. Okay,
-
that's the why not the right way to say promise
-
came amazing God, Halenluiah, day by day Hallelujah. So Jesus
-
is giving us an understanding on how God dranks or
-
governs his household day by day. Every day has his
-
own peculiar challenges. And God wants us to understand this
-
principle and just come on that basis. That's four and
-
forgive us as sains. For we also forgive everyone who
-
is in debtor to us. And do not lead us
-
into temptation, but deliver us from living. There are four things,
-
the things there is forgive us our sains. Now, the
-
point is that God is a messy. For God, Amen,
-
God is love at the heart of his nature, is the.
-
Or a spirit or forgiveness.
-
God wants to forgive, not just as all humankind Amen.
-
And as we said, so long as we stay holy, then.
-
The vowels of consecration works. You'll cleanse us. You'll purify us,
-
he said, when you confess he is faithful and just,
-
not only to forgive us, but to cleanse us from
-
all on righteousness.
-
Amen.
-
Then the next thing is that for we also forgive
-
everyone who is indebted. Unforgiveness is grievous to God's heart.
-
Say amen.
-
And you will never mature in your love life if
-
you don't cultivate side by side your ability to forgive
-
to overlook heats, to always wipe the slate of your
-
heart of all deaths of heat, evening when they've not
-
been asked for. You are loving, you are in a relationship,
-
You are loving, You are you are married, You are loving.
-
But you are not cultivating side by side to your
-
love over chess, a heart and a spirit of forgiveness.
-
You're not going to mature in love. Amen.
-
And I'm saying it depends on is to cultivate this
-
ability to forgive to overlook heads. Number three, to always
-
wipe the slate of your heart all deaths of heat,
-
even when they have not asked for it. So that
-
long before they come, or they may never come. Wipe
-
the slate of your heart of all earth. And I'm
-
adding superficial and deep heats. Now that makes sense, very
-
very important, because your key to an effective prayer life.
-
Heads, they didn't say, they didn't say sorry, no expend sorry,
-
Move on, superficial heads, move on, deep ess, move on,
-
wipe it off. We're not saying they didn't do it
-
or turn it over to God.
-
You are waiting. That's for superficial bats. For deepest, they
-
must come and apologize. You never believe me.
-
They don't come. Don't when they.
-
Don't come, And the parable of their unforgiving seven we
-
know about that Matthew eighty.
-
Thirty five is there.
-
So this is the point God demands for forgiveness on
-
our path, and all his children must participate in this
-
generous act. Dear to God forgiving people. Remember not samone
-
on the mount. Pleasures are the mercy, for for they
-
shall obtain mercy. Showing mercy has a strong correlation in
-
your group and maturity and being christ Like, and mercy
-
simply means kindness, fruit of the Spiritally luyah. Then the
-
final ones that they say best for seasons and do
-
not let us into temptation, but the laver us from
-
the evil one. Do not lead us into temptation, but
-
deliver us sometimes the temptation me. Now we're working, we see,
-
and then we're working. How are you going to be
-
able to be avoiding temptation?
-
The way?
-
How shall a young man cleanse his way? David says,
-
what by taking it according.
-
To your way? That word have I hidden in my
-
heart that I may not sin against you?
-
And then the last one, he says that we should
-
pray that word deliver us from the evil one. He
-
just tells us about the kind of tactics of the devil.
-
He is always after us. He will all always, if
-
you like, tell us until he gets us stumbling and falling. Amen,
-
deliver us from the evil one. That's every morning. Pray
-
say time as a twenty four hours seven.
-
It's on you.
-
But for the angels of God, the invisible angels of God.
-
God does it for his children.
-
We saw Jacob in my name Genesis thirty two, when
-
he came back on the land. The Bible says, immediately
-
he came on the land, angels of the Lord met him.
-
And then after his children had gone and run sacked
-
the city of she Kep after Diana's had been ripped,
-
and then he panicked because he said, you have done
-
this thing that you have done his audios in the
-
sight of God, and all the nations around they are
-
now going to gather, and then they will come and
-
then attack us. What prevented the nations around from attacking
-
isra God. So the Bible says that when he said no,
-
because already God, I told Jacob that come to the
-
place where I encountered you in Genesis, that is Bethel,
-
come and pay about he wasn't prepared to go, and
-
then he ended up sheltering in Shakep. And then Diana
-
went in and got ripped, and then Rubin and then
-
Simon led the vengeance, and then they slaughtered the entire
-
city through deceit.
-
And then the.
-
Nations were gathering, and God said he said in the
-
dream go said, oh, yeah, get back to Bethel. So
-
that night as they turned out too that then in
-
the Bible said, somewhere somehow the.
-
Fear of the Lord fell on the people. Eld of Tajaco.
-
Leaders nothing to temptation, but deliver as from the evil.
-
That the enemy is planning. You have no idea. It
-
goes you open our eyes one night, rise up on
-
your feet. Oh bless you for your timeless.
