  4. Pasta Jeff your mars, and I'll be facilitating this morning's episode.

  5. Let's share a way of prayer. Father, we thank you

  6. for today and this opportunity to look into your word

  7. as we listen, we pray that you stay faith in

  8. our hearts and grants us grace to go and do

  9. what you're wearing. It sees in Jesus' name a man.

  10. Let's take our confession together from Joshua chapter one. There's eight.

  11. This book of the Law shall not depart out of

  12. my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night,

  13. that I may observe to do according to all that

  14. is written in it. For then I will make my

  15. way prosperous, and then I will have good success. A

  16. man beloved. The topic for today's episode is dealing with discouragement.

  17. Dealing with discouragement, will take our sculpture read him from

  18. Psalm forty two. There's five to six. Why are you

  19. cast down all my soul? And why are you disquieted

  20. within me, hope in God, for I shall yet praise

  21. Him for the help of his countenance. Oh, my God,

  22. my soul is cast down within me. Therefore I will

  23. remember you from the land of the Jordan and from

  24. the heights of Hermon. From the hill Misa a man

  25. dealing with discouragement. The battle with discouragement is real. Discouragement

  26. is not just a fleeting emotion. It is a tool

  27. used as a ground for attacking and waking our faith,

  28. clouding our vision, and pulling us back from God's papers.

  29. I listen to a narration of a story about the

  30. devil putting down his tools for sale. The story goes

  31. that he spread out the tools before the bias, including

  32. tools like hatred, envy, pride, deceit in line. Each was

  33. marked with a price on it, but off to the

  34. side lay one worn out over us, too priced higher

  35. than all the rest put together. One of the buyers asked,

  36. what is this one? Then the devil answered, this is

  37. the tool of discouragement. The buyer asks again, why is

  38. it so expensive, and the devil said, because it works

  39. better than all the others. With it, I get inside

  40. a person's soul better than any other tool, and it

  41. is worn out because I use it almost on everybody. Believed.

  42. Discouragement of a lies to us, and if we are

  43. not careful, we begin to believe the lives. One of

  44. these lies is that our struggles from God, and that

  45. God may have singled us out for suffering. Often, when

  46. we are discouraged, everything in our lives seems to be

  47. falling apart. Worst of all, we tend to feel that

  48. our condition is permanent to us. Things may never change. Beloved,

  49. these are all lies, and they are not from God.

  50. The truth is that God is fearful. He is present

  51. and actively waken even when we cannot see it. As believers,

  52. we are not without hope. The Bible tells us how

  53. even the greatest men of God faced the seasons of discouragement.

  54. David experienced it all betrayal laws. So yet in the

  55. midst of Spain, David did something powerful. He tended to

  56. God in his soul. We see him speak to himself,

  57. seeing why are that cast down all my soul? Hope

  58. Thou in the Lord David preached to himself believed. We

  59. must do the same. We must preach to ourselves and

  60. remind our hearts of God's truth even when our feelings

  61. see otherwise. Indeed, hope shines brightest in the darkest moment.

  62. True hope is not a trouble free life, but the

  63. assurance of God's presence within it when everything seems hopeless.

  64. That is often the very ground where our faith can

  65. begin to grow again. The Bible assures us that we

  66. should fear not because God is with us. God will

  67. indeed strengthen and help us. We are never alone, no

  68. matter how heavy the situation feels. We can overcome discouragement

  69. by remembering God's past works of faithfulness. When we look

  70. back and recall how God has delivered us from them,

  71. our faith is strengthened forward lies ahead. When our emotions

  72. are unstable, looking back and remembering testimonies of what God

  73. has done before for us and for others gives us

  74. a real hope. Praise and worship is another weapon in

  75. seasons of discouragement. How we feel like crying, we can

  76. choose to sing. When our hearts are heavy, we lift

  77. up our voices in praise. David often turns his pain

  78. into psalms and songs and worship. His focus shifted from

  79. the problems rather to God's greatness. Worship aligns our perspective

  80. and brings God's presence into our situation. As we do

  81. these things, we are reminded that no situation is beyond redemption,

  82. no matter how much the devil tries, No matter how

  83. dire our situations may be, it is not impossible with God.

  84. This is a powerful testimony that God can take the

  85. brooken situations and turn them into praise. Beloved, Discouragement may come,

  86. but it does not have to stee Strengthen yourself in

  87. the Lord. Remember his faithfulness, refuse the lives of the enemy.

  88. Choose hope even when it is hard. As you do,

  89. it will discover that God is able to carry you

  90. through every storm and bring you into a place of victory.

  91. A man, let us take our memory verse for today

  92. from Lamentations Chapter three, the verse twenty four. The Lord

  93. is my portion, sees my soul. Therefore I hope in him.

  94. The Lord is my portion, says my soul. Therefore I

  95. hope in him. A man, let us pray, Father, we

  96. thank you for a wedding season. Thank you that we

  97. can trust that your presence will be with us even

  98. in the most difficult times, even when we are discouraged.

  99. Help us to always praise you and worship you, and

  100. continue trusting in your providence over our lives in Jesus

  101. name a Man God. Bless you for connecting and listening
