MGD: Dealing With Discouragement

Beloved, hallelujah and shandon God bless you for connecting with

us today for another episode of our morning glory devotion.

Pasta Jeff your mars, and I'll be facilitating this morning's episode.

Let's share a way of prayer. Father, we thank you

for today and this opportunity to look into your word

as we listen, we pray that you stay faith in

our hearts and grants us grace to go and do

what you're wearing. It sees in Jesus' name a man.

Let's take our confession together from Joshua chapter one. There's eight.

This book of the Law shall not depart out of

my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night,

that I may observe to do according to all that

is written in it. For then I will make my

way prosperous, and then I will have good success. A

man beloved. The topic for today's episode is dealing with discouragement.

Dealing with discouragement, will take our sculpture read him from

Psalm forty two. There's five to six. Why are you

cast down all my soul? And why are you disquieted

within me, hope in God, for I shall yet praise

Him for the help of his countenance. Oh, my God,

my soul is cast down within me. Therefore I will

remember you from the land of the Jordan and from

the heights of Hermon. From the hill Misa a man

dealing with discouragement. The battle with discouragement is real. Discouragement

is not just a fleeting emotion. It is a tool

used as a ground for attacking and waking our faith,

clouding our vision, and pulling us back from God's papers.

I listen to a narration of a story about the

devil putting down his tools for sale. The story goes

that he spread out the tools before the bias, including

tools like hatred, envy, pride, deceit in line. Each was

marked with a price on it, but off to the

side lay one worn out over us, too priced higher

than all the rest put together. One of the buyers asked,

what is this one? Then the devil answered, this is

the tool of discouragement. The buyer asks again, why is

it so expensive, and the devil said, because it works

better than all the others. With it, I get inside

a person's soul better than any other tool, and it

is worn out because I use it almost on everybody. Believed.

Discouragement of a lies to us, and if we are

not careful, we begin to believe the lives. One of

these lies is that our struggles from God, and that

God may have singled us out for suffering. Often, when

we are discouraged, everything in our lives seems to be

falling apart. Worst of all, we tend to feel that

our condition is permanent to us. Things may never change. Beloved,

these are all lies, and they are not from God.

The truth is that God is fearful. He is present

and actively waken even when we cannot see it. As believers,

we are not without hope. The Bible tells us how

even the greatest men of God faced the seasons of discouragement.

David experienced it all betrayal laws. So yet in the

midst of Spain, David did something powerful. He tended to

God in his soul. We see him speak to himself,

seeing why are that cast down all my soul? Hope

Thou in the Lord David preached to himself believed. We

must do the same. We must preach to ourselves and

remind our hearts of God's truth even when our feelings

see otherwise. Indeed, hope shines brightest in the darkest moment.

True hope is not a trouble free life, but the

assurance of God's presence within it when everything seems hopeless.

That is often the very ground where our faith can

begin to grow again. The Bible assures us that we

should fear not because God is with us. God will

indeed strengthen and help us. We are never alone, no

matter how heavy the situation feels. We can overcome discouragement

by remembering God's past works of faithfulness. When we look

back and recall how God has delivered us from them,

our faith is strengthened forward lies ahead. When our emotions

are unstable, looking back and remembering testimonies of what God

has done before for us and for others gives us

a real hope. Praise and worship is another weapon in

seasons of discouragement. How we feel like crying, we can

choose to sing. When our hearts are heavy, we lift

up our voices in praise. David often turns his pain

into psalms and songs and worship. His focus shifted from

the problems rather to God's greatness. Worship aligns our perspective

and brings God's presence into our situation. As we do

these things, we are reminded that no situation is beyond redemption,

no matter how much the devil tries, No matter how

dire our situations may be, it is not impossible with God.

This is a powerful testimony that God can take the

brooken situations and turn them into praise. Beloved, Discouragement may come,

but it does not have to stee Strengthen yourself in

the Lord. Remember his faithfulness, refuse the lives of the enemy.

Choose hope even when it is hard. As you do,

it will discover that God is able to carry you

through every storm and bring you into a place of victory.

A man, let us take our memory verse for today

from Lamentations Chapter three, the verse twenty four. The Lord

is my portion, sees my soul. Therefore I hope in him.

The Lord is my portion, says my soul. Therefore I

hope in him. A man, let us pray, Father, we

thank you for a wedding season. Thank you that we

can trust that your presence will be with us even

in the most difficult times, even when we are discouraged.

Help us to always praise you and worship you, and

continue trusting in your providence over our lives in Jesus
